It astounds my finite mind to realize that this sovereign God of the universe is also my loving Father who watches and cares for me moment by moment. He is interested in every detail of my life, and not a word or action slips by Him unnoticed. Even my unspoken thoughts and motives lie bare to my holy Father. Yet He continues to love and lead me, cleanse and forgive me!
Nothing I do surprises my Father. He who made me knows me inside and out, recognizes all my weaknesses, and sees all my needs. He nurtures, guards and trains me as His precious child. Most earthly fathers do their best to make their children mature and happy, yet my heavenly Father does infinitely more. "See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us - that we should be called children of God, and such we are!"
"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." Romans 8:12-17

JIB, I have missed hearing from you and I am still praying and believing for your foot. This has to be a very difficult thing to endure for you and I am in total agreement with you and the others praying for total and complete healing.
My attention today has been in trying to make certain my main computer was safe and secure from the Conflicker worm. I was greatly concerned that there might be a lingering problem hidden somewhere in the vast recesses of my hard drive. I spent the whole day making it stick out its tongue and saying "Ahhhhh". Then I gave up, wrote Trend Micro a SOS, they replied back immediately with a special application that would allow me to work behind their firewall, uninstall my whole security suite, then install a clean program to chase down any varmint hiding out. It took a total of 45 minutes to accomplish what I had spent all of today on. Oh, LORD, I am sorry for wasting my time on the silly thing. I couldn't use my main computer (the one I am making this comment on) and had to tolerate my laptop. I don't remember praying that the Lord teach me patience but that is what I felt like was happening to me.

Donna, all I can say is that your mother-in-law had some very bad (read: nonexistent) religious education while growing up. She is obviously not even listening to the scripture readings, and may not be listening to the homily. My guess is that she is of an age where there was only the Traditional Latin Mass, where there was VERY little participation. In fact, since everything was in Latin except the readings and the homily, people were encouraged to bring devotional literature and saints' biographies to read during Mass. As a result, she's grown up not listening to ANYTHING.

I appreciate the prayers. it is apparently not broken just painful. the not broken part is an answer to prayer since that would have been a serious financial issue. tonight after standing all day I just can't seem to find a way to make it comfortable-isn't especially sharp just naggingly uncomfortable. so I'm going to take some Tylenol and go to bed-it's another day of standing all day tomorrow. and then I have ER call for the whole weekend. hubby has to drive me everywhere so pray for him too! if I go in in the middle of the night hubby and the 6 year old get to go also.
traipsed around the county fair all day saturday (really stupid idea) after the MRI. our son however LOVED his day at the fair so I guess that makes it worth it.
I also indulged and have been reading downloads from the Frucht and wading through Joel's latest also.
for those with kids-I finally found a bible story book that my dad used to read to us when we were kids-365 Bible stories. It goes from Genesis to Revelation and our son is really enjoying it. got it at Barnes and Noble of all places. go figure.

There was one thing however I remember that pastor saying which was unusual to me. I believe he said that only the righteous would
have resurrected bodies because it didn't make sense the unrighteous would have "bodies" after the final judgment in hell.
Although it's difficult to understand the majority of the hell concept of feeling & burning in the spirit & then the same w/a ressurected body-from what I've studied I think both will have ressurected bodies but the timing is different. He was warning that many more Christians are now being led to believe in Annihilationsim. (Similar to what JW's believe.)

These are the only two verses that I recall that show that the lost without Christ will be resurrected also.
John 5:29 "and come forth--those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation."
Acta 24:15 "I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.
My husband also thought he said that the condemned would not be resurrected, but their spirits would be released to stand before Christ at the judgement. I really don't recall him saying that; and we decided it was not worth listening to it once more.

Lisa- I attend Harvest Bible Chapel and heard Pastor James give the sermon on hell. I also purchased the CD and have listened to it twice. I’m in agreement with you that it was really good. It was not clear to me where those who have died are right now from the sermon. I’m going to listen again. Sunday I’m going to pick up his series ‘Straight Talk’- it has four sermons: ‘what’s up with heaven’, ‘what’s up with Baptism’, ‘are you saved?’ as well as ‘what’s down with hell’. I have a friend who believes in annihilationism – no she’s not a JW- but believes it from her own word studies of Scripture. I spent all day Monday doing word study and I still don’t know where she gets this from.

If you all remember that I mentioned that my DH said that he was going to stop drinking (and I was doubtful but I did not voice this to him). Last evening I came home from church and when he said hello I new right away that he had ben drinking. I don't think that anyone else would notice like that but I am very in tune with this with him. He went to the store and bought a big thing of beer. We sat outside talking after the kids were in bed and I asked him aobut the drinking. He admitted that he is an alcholic. He said that he knows that he has a problem and why he drinks and that he knows he is a jerk when he drinks. He is extremely worried about the world situation right now. I said few words and only listened (this is from the Lord not myself) and I feel for him in this. He said that he knows that he needs to stop drinking all together. He thinks he needs more willpower but I know that he needs the Holy Spirit's power. So, I am praying that the Holy Spirit get ahold of him and works in him like only He can. The Lord has already answered my requests that He open DH eyes to his problems so I praise and thank Him for that! Thank you for praying about this situation friends and please continue. I am expecting a mighty work from our Lord in DH life!

getting an alcoholic to admit they have a problem is 3/4ths of the problem. from what you've posted his turn around is miraculous-most of them take a long time to come to grips and some never do. they also have to want to change-sounds like he does so the prayers are working.
AA is helpful if he'll go. better yet perhaps in your new church that you are going to there is someone who used to be an alcoholic and now is sober-male only. that I think would be powerful for him.

thank you. He did say that he needs to go to AA. He has been before but it was about 14 years ago. I am so concerned for him. He woke up coughing terribly last night and was then throwing up. He is a smoker too. He is just about 38 and has been a smoker/drinker since he was about 14.
The interesting thing about this church that I have visited is that the people don't look or act like "church people". I do not want to offend anyone here but I think we all know what I am talking about. In fact, the men at this church look like hard working, rougher type of men. The kind of men my husband relates with. I did not know this when I visited and last night I felt strange being there because they looked like how I picture the fishermen Jesus hung out with looked like! I feel like I am supposed to be there even though i don't really want to go! I don't know, it is all very strange right now but I know that the Lord is working! Praise the Lord!
I am so blessed to be able to share these things with you saints here. The Lord DOES work in mysterious ways, does He not?

My friends in my beloved Iowa are telling me that the fields and all of the unproductive land there will be planted to the hilt in corn this year and the prices they are expecting to get per bushel is out of their highest ever hopes. What gives besides all of that corn being turned into Ethanol? If the one friend is successful in bringing his planned crop to harvest, it will enable him to completely pay off all of his past farm debt and his son's. If that is the truth, what is it going to do the food prices? Hang on to your cap Jim, you might have to plant a hanging garden on your shower rod!

I don't know if this article would help in the study of annihilationism but it seemed to explain what had sucked me into believing it for a time.
From personal experience: It stems from a person wanting to believe in something & finding a way to justify it in their own minds. Instead of being honest w/one's self & accepting whatever the truth is in the Word of God-we tend to want to form our own opinions of what is just & what we are comfortable with. The end of this will produce an "American Jesus" & not the God of the Bible.

Lisa that article on Feldkamp was very eye opening to say the least. Seems our way overboard liberal press likes to construe the news to fit their agenda. One of the reasons I don't listen to the garbage anymore. They all have an agenda and that is very simple. MONEY! But the story of Bud's practices/business and then the one picture on the web that shows one of the bodies laying right at the very foot of that Memorial to the unborn is mind blowing. Hey, I would run for the hills and find me a really deep cave to hide in. Of course, God can fill that cave to overflowing and Bud and Son wouldn't be able to dig deep enough to get away from Him. I don't want them coming to Okieland, for sure!

you are not being disrespectful-either some one at State has fallen down on the job or the BO's aren't listening. I thought touching the Queen without her permission was also taboo as well. I cringe every time the news comes on wondering what new international gaffe he's made now. I haven't found the time to finish Joel's latest book to see who all he talked to but I will bet there is someone in there that he talked to who might also know something about NK. They might have talked about some other stuff concerning NK and perhaps that is what he is basing his comments on. Otherwise he did make his living at one time gathering info and trying to synthesize them into a unified big picture. so he may just be connecting dots we don't see but that he does see- a if this, then that leading to this type thought processes. It is also how he wrote his fiction books-this is what I think is being said in Ezekiel so what has to happen to get there and what might have to happen along the way. as to worrying about it-I'm closer to the range of the missile than you are and Lisa and ATTY and Anne (? if she's the one who lives in CA) are in a high target state and are closer yet.
stupid question time-does anyone know if there is a way to protect electronic equipment from an EMP? we've looked at some stuff on line and really can't find anything decent-seems that most of what is out there including extent of effect of a nuclear bomb in the atmosphere is pure speculation. keep in mind that before the first bomb was detonated that scientists thought that a single detonation would cause a chain reaction and burn all the atmosphere off the planet. some people feel that only a few hundred miles around the area where the bomb is detonated will be affected not the entire US -who knows.
btw Beck is having a special on internet rumors may be this monday or next and one of the things being covered are the FEMA camps. I've been thinking about these tax day tea parties and while I suspect Jim C could do a much better job has any one considered that the tax day tea parties could lead BO to deploy the military within our borders and round up all these dissenters and throw them into these camps?

Oh, you have a very limited imagination. My mind, on the other hand, can imagine all SORTS of SNAFUs that can make the next few weeks ... interesting.
First of all, the actual launch is successful, but the third stage misfires, and the rocket/missile follows a ballistic arc that impacts just outside of Akita. (Gee, no symbolic significance THERE...) There's no "warhead" per se, but there's a lot of toxic rocket fuel scattered about, creating one heckuva mess to clean up. NK then accuses Japan and the US of working together to cause the failure; that the rocket didn't fail, it was brought down by this evil coalition. In retaliation, NK executes the two US journalists they are presently holding. Things go downhill from there.
Second possibility: There is a spectacular failure of the rocket on the launch pad, one that can be seen from space. Evidence is produced that "proves" the US sabotaged/attacked the site. NK then ups the ante by declaring this to be an act of war and calling on Russia and China to honor their mutual defense treaty obligations. Both China and Russia use this as means of forcing large concessions from the US during the G20 meeting.

N.B. The reference to Akita (Japan) concerns apparitions of Mary that occurred in a convent there back in 1973. In 1988 the apparition was ruled as "worthy of belief". There were three messages given during those apparitions, none of them happy:

THUUNDA, I truly believe that all the hype about BO was done to cover up his lack of common sense. I have no idea who is advising him regarding the behavior we have seen demonstrated from about mid-way in his run for the presidency of this nation. Then he surrounds his self with the likes of his choice for Chief of Staff (Emanuel) and there goes all hope for balance and wisdom. That is how we know he isn't a true believer. God would have given him a huge measure of common sense to fit the office he now holds.
Kinda leaves me speechless when I see the bowing and scraping he is doing in Europe. What would his actions be in the face of a real enemy? Don't even want to go there.
I keep praying and watching but other than that, our hands are tied.

Jib, Shalom! re: protecting electrical and electronic equipment against EMP, yes there are ways. They are neither simple nor cheap. The military has developed vehicles that are immune to EMPs, but of course they're not publishing how they accomplished that. The only sure way to do that is to put your equipment inside what's called a Faraday shield.
A Faraday shield (or Faraday cage) is made of electrically conductive metal, covers the entire object you want shielded, and is grounded at one point. Because it's grounded, the electrical waves go around the surface of the metal and into the ground, leaving whatever's inside the cage protected. One reason you have a hard time getting radio or cell phone signals in some buildings is that the electrical wiring, plumbing, steel rebar, etc. in the walls act as a Faraday shield, shielding whatever's inside from any electromagnetic radiation (FM stations, cell phones). However, you can rest assured that the minor shielding offered by modern construction has no hope against an EMP generated by the air burst of a nuclear device.
One other problem with shielding against a nuclear EMP is that the blast's pulse will cover a whole range of frequencies. Therefore, any shielding would have to be able to cover an entire range of frequencies. This means being in an entire room shielded by metal. It also means that the pulse can induce electrical currents in unbalanced wires. In other words, power transmission lines and railroad tracks can have very strong electrical currents induced and can carry these currents hundreds of miles outside the normal affected zones. This could result in cascading power system failures hundreds of miles away. Thus, it's possible that an EMP over NYC would knock out power companies all the way up through Maine into Canada, and all the way west to Ohio.
If you're thinking about installing shielding, it's much easier to do if it's built into the structure in the first place, as they do in hospitals with MRI units. If you're thinking about protecting your computers, etc., you'll need to have electrically isolated power sources to keep the electronics from being burned out from a massive surge in the power line. Anything that's plugged into a wall outlet will be fried. That includes any auto made since the mid-1980's. Anything with "electronic ignition" or with any burgler alarm that's on all the time is susceptible. The EMP will fry your car's electronics and make it impossible to start or run. Another reason I bought my two-stroke scooter.

IN the 1760's and 70's the British government was trying to come up with ways to pay for the French and Indian Wars -- a series of battles the British fought in America to protect their colonies there. Naturally, Parliament decided that since the military actions were there to protect the colonists, the colonists should be the ones to pay for it. The government then proceeded to pass a series of tax acts, taxing paper, indigo, and a host of other products needed by the colonists. The only problem is that there were no elected representatives from the colonies in Parliament at the time. While in retrospect, most of the taxes were reasonable, the fact that the colonists were not allowed any input into the process caused a lot of resentment.
This resentment boiled over when the tax on tea was increased. Actually the tax on tea was reduced in Great Britain and increased on tea being re-imported into the colonies. The colonists protested that they hadn't been consulted on this new tax, and the slogan emerged, "No taxation without representation!" His Majesty's Government, on the other hand, kept viewing this as a need to assert the right of taxing the colonists, meaning they couldn't back down without loss of face. When the East India Company tried importing this tea into different American ports, the colonists were able to have the tea sent back to England. But in Boston the Royal Governor of Massachusetts refused to allow that to happen.
Therefore, since the Royal Governor wouldn't permit the tea to be returned to England, on December 16, 1773 a group of colonists disguised as Indians boarded the ships and threw the tea into Boston Harbor. That was a good video report of a hoax! If the craft are just floating along then they are not acting like a real UFO. They typically dart around at high speeds/change direction & disappear. Some have been reported as "mother ships" and are 3 miles wide such as the recent China incident. However, few fake pranksters naturally do not discount all of the accounts as untrue.**Although, I'm sure most people would like to think that way.(:

no not especially a believer in the ultimate use of the FEMA camps-that areas do exist I don't think is disputed much, their use however would be. it will be interesting to see what information the Beck show comes up with on this matter.
the only reason that I would give credence to this use is that our government has done this in the past with the Japanese Americans in WW2 so that imo makes it more likely that they would do it in the future if the right circumstances arose (such as too many citizens getting uppity about the idiots in DC and the gov't with tea parties and such). it doesn't help that one of the WW2 concentration camps is about 20 miles up the road from where I live-or thereabouts at any rate. there is a historical center on one of the local Indian reservations and part of the exhibit is on the concentration camp that was here locally.
as to BO and guns-maybe maybe not. I think what they will do is put taxes on gun ownership to the point where no one can afford to own a gun or pass some draconian law regarding the ammo.

I would note that this tea is from the second little known tea party that followed the first one
I read somewhere that a faraday box/cage can simply be made from a cardboard box and tinfoil. place a second box around the 1st to protect the tinfoil from being damaged. (similar to what is necessary for your typical tinfoil hat).
Two things are important.
1. the box must be entirely covered, and an overlapping door is essential.
2. the electronics placed within the box can not touch the exterior. they must be placed on a insulated surface that separates the outside from the inside. Also, there can be no exterior metal wires running into the box - antennas or datalink cables, or power. a completely fiber-optic line would be safe. Grounding is not as important as no contact within the box.
Of course, this will not do much good if the phone systems are toasted and the web is fried, but at least you will have a working system.
The strength of shielding needed of course will be dependant on the distance from the pulse.

I saw that article on 'healthy suicide' and it really got my imagination going (after my boiling blood settled down, of course.) I've always figured that once society accepted the concept of assisted suicide for terminally ill patients, the case for suicide of other 'hopeless case' patients would follow...mentally handicapped, paralysis patients, etc. But this article got me thinking in another direction. I can see the push to make healthy suicide acceptable in so many situations...it could start with spouses not wanting to be left alone and then move to the benefit of reducing the burden on society, especially if those left-behind spouses and family members can't support themselves and have to rely on social services. This 'benefit to society' mentality is already showing up in the abortion arena. I read an article about a PBS commmentator (can't remember her name at the moment) saying that she applauded a mother who recently chose to abort her 4th child because her boyfriend lost his job and they were already struggling to make ends meet with the 3 children they have now. The commentator said it was a wise decision and really spoke well of this mother's maturity and concern for others. UNBELIEVABLE. Then there's the increase of honor-killing suicides where the men who are planning to kill the offending female in their family know they'll go to jail as a result so instead they lock the woman in a room with rat poison, a gun and a rope and tell them they can't come out and have to choose their own form of death. This takes care of the honor issue but spares the man the jail sentence.
Evil is getting so creative and at the same time it seems the numbing delusion that is to come is already in the air. If none of this makes sense now, what will it be like once we're with the Lord?

I was commenting to my friend the other day that it seemed like there was alot of people just losing it and going on rampages. That was before the NY shootings and now the PA shootings.

Forgot to mention in the last post about my latest health update...
I decided I couldn't wait til next Fri for the MRI so I went Tues. night to the ER and had a catscan done on my head/right orbit. Both scans came back normal which was a great relief. I'll have the MRI next week and see if anything can be detected, although I've felt much better the last week or so.
I also met with the surgeon about my thyroid surgery. He said that he really has no other recommendation than to remove the entire gland bc suspicious biopsy findings at my age aren't something to wait-and-see with. I felt very comfortable with him and he did a great job explaining the procedure/recovery and how my thyroid (or lack of) would be managed post-op. I'll probably schedule for sometime in mid-May.
Prayers now center on finding the cause of my head pressure/ache (still not sure if it's related to the thyroid or separate), a benign lab report after the surgery and a quick restoration of thyroid function (via meds) post-op. I have lots of peace right now and am comfident that this speedbump will bring opportunities to share that peace with others, with all glory going to our Lord. Thanks for your prayers....they have certainly been keeping me uplifted these last few days.

In a limited way, the same way that Baptism provides some protection. You still have to be setting your will against being influenced. As I understand it, to say "it is not possible to hypnotize someone against their will" is both true and false. If you recognize that a hypnotic technique is being used against you, then you can set your will against it. These techniques work because people don't recognize these techniques as being attempts to hypnotize you. Exorcists will tell you that someone who is possessed invited the possessing spirit in at some point. Part of the exorcism is finding out when and how the spirit was invited into the victim's life. Far too often, it was through something that people thought was a game or just for fun.
So yes, the Holy Spirit can protect you, but as in all things, only if you let it.

BO is one of the reasons that I don't think the great deception that will come on people after the rapture has anything necessarily to do with the rapture. keep in mind that the singular thing that we know will happen after the rapture is that the man of sin will be revealed-in other words the AC. whether there are or aren't hypnotic techniques that one can use while public speaking certainly something has people, especially Christians and Jews of all people, buffaloed into supporting BO. Keep in mind that the AC would even be able to deceive the elect if he were allowed to do so.
I would say on the one hand BO has had some public speaking training somewhere along the way but on the other hand he would fail my freshman public speaking class at this point because of the teleprompter. may be he thinks it makes him look more high tech than speaking off of notes but it is quite distracting-or so I'm told. whenever he appears on TV I change the channel if possible or turn it off.
so yes I do think the Spirit keeps people from being enamored of him. so why are there some people that aren't believers that are not enamored of him is the other question we should be asking. so part of it I think is the Spirit but at this point I also think being thoughtful, patriotic and conservative etc. has something to do with it as well. A lot of the people who are currently fed up with BO and the clowns in DC are fed up because they are grounded more in the Constitution than in the Word of God. Those who appear to not be grounded well in either are those that support the clowns in DC.
the other reason I think the deception is more about the AC than the rapture is again the Time article-BO's new One World Order. We have tv shows on the AC and times etc that all discuss what evangelical Christians believe-and it's mainstream tv not one of the christian stations, that discuss the coming of a one world dictator that will preach peace and yet is evil and people are still going to fall for him. I guess the answer is because they are willing to be deceived regardless of accurate prior information to the contrary.
the biggest issue I have with Christians romoting/promulgating, the conspiracy theories of one world government by/due to the Masons, illuminati and Bildeberger's is that I think it dilutes our message of what we KNOW is coming (for the record it wouldn't actually surprise me that one or all of the groups was working in some fashion to bring about God's design for the end times I just don't have a problem with them doing so). Consider, those who believe those particular groups are working for a one world order are generally discounted as crazy nuts. Bible prophecy folks are also crazy nuts but I think just speaking about the truth is sufficient without bringing in secular crazy nut theories also. I personally feel that it puts biblical prophecy on the same level as secular theories and while some of them might be accurate and true, we KNOW that the Bible IS accurate and true and we don't need to give our enemy any ammo to work with to discount our message.

Praying that your results will be all good news
I remember the first time I heard BOO speak and it was at the Democratic Convention in 2004. I remember thinking how earth shattering it must have been to have that honor for such a young man. The color of his skin didn't come into the picture because I was more interested in what he had to say. But I don't remember feeling like there was an overpowering desire to soak it all up.
Then the first speech he made after his announced candidacy for President this past year, a whole new element got into the formula. It was as if my common sense had taken a vacation and I had this overcoming desire to listen to every word he spoke. Now I am being very frank and truthful with all of you! No joking around and no hidden humor. It scared me! I was being sucked in and I knew it because~~~~well, the Holy Spirit was alarmed inside of me. I had this strong urge to flip the channel but I had another strong urge not to. Not really understanding what was going on inside of me, I decided to flip and as soon as I did I knew there was something sinister about BOO. DH was a little upset with me because he wanted to hear what the man was saying, and because he was listening from another room, he had no idea the man was "BOO". Then as soon as he came into the living room, realized who was speaking, he flipped back to another channel.
I had this great desire to listen and yet, as I read the comments on this blog, I was fully aware that there was more going on than meets the eye or can be understood by our minds. None of it made sense thereafter. The crowds, the worship of BOO and the information that was being posted all over the internet about BOO should have made everyone run in the opposite direction. We weren't waylaid like the unbelievers were but if we don't listen to the warnings of the Holy Spirit and we keep on chasing after the things of this world, we can be kept from discerning and thereby deceived. In fact, that bible verse "God will turn them over to a reprobate mind" kept churning inside of me and no matter how much I prayed, it never ceased. I think that deep in all of our hearts we were made aware that this BOO was going to be elevated to the highest possible office in this country. His goal is not limited by boundaries and just as his predecessor, he desires to sit higher than the Almighty.
Is it possible that even BOO's mind has become reprobated? I don't know but I do know that self esteem that is blown out of proportion is a very dangerous thing. Thinking he has all of the answers to the world's problems is the next move. Merkel is the one that really has a true understanding of who and what BOO is all about. The Chancellor of Germany told him, pretty plainly, that they are not bailing out this country. We need to keep her in our prayers, big time.
Also, Bob Basso, the man who does a fantastic rendition of Thomas Paine needs our prayers too. If you aren't aware of him, do a Google search and watch the video's on Youtube or Google's viewer. This country might indeed go down the tube but it won't do so without a fight and people, I intend to fight with all of my might against all evil.
The internet and blogging are some of the most powerful weapons we have ever been blessed with. And I am going to do so with great love!

Grany, Shalom! About buying back your cave, you do have some alternatives. Depending on the size and shape of the cave, you could either build an ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) structure or a Monolithic Dome inside the cave. Both methods use reinforced concrete combined with some kind of foam insulation to provide superior thermal insulation and strength. If you're worried about cave collapses, then the Dome would be the best bet -- try breaking an egg by crushing it between your palms.

Those are great ideas and if I see the need to migrate to Missouri and my own private land with caves, I will do it. However, up there the rock formations are of different composition. However, DH informed me that the cave is forever gone now due to the local Tribe owning it has preserved it as a natural Indian Heritage and trace it back to the Trail of Tears migration. Seems they used it to seek shelter in the storms that ravaged this area during the dust bowl days and also, from the twisters that have always been around. In fact, it became a sort of sacred ground in their thinking and was the site of actual council meetings and stomp dances. Stomp Dances are still a big part of the Cherokee heritage here and even though I haven't been a part of them, I have seen them on occasions. They are steeped in the culture of their belief system.
Did any of you read the article from Debka File that I posted? There is much happening right now that begins to clear the picture of why we aren't one of Israel's allies during the Ez. 38 and 39 episode. I have a friend who believes that BOO is the man that God allowed to be posted during this special time in prophecy. Due to the fact that he is of Muslim background (not saying that he is personally one) the tendency would be to align himself with that ideology. That would prevent the USA from aiding Israel and enable Gog/Magog to come to fruition. That we would abandon Israel is a well documented fact because we have done so in the past. In fact, President Roosevelt knew about the Hitler death camps and the persecution of the Jews back at the beginning and the State Department blocked any efforts of the Jews to gain safety through us. Only when it became a bitter pill and FDR was confronted with the truth and possible big time exposure did he recant and allow our military to provide protection. Then when the whole picture was presented to the world after the first death camp was uncovered, a fast cover up of the USA's true knowledge was created. A lot of the exposure was done by Hollywood and their News Reel updates in all of the local movie theaters around the free world. Even Churchill was outraged by the cold hearted attitude that the President and State Department took. Remembering that FDR circumvented the State Department every chance he got, the American people were outraged. Then when Ike returned from Europe and laid bare all of the facts, it was the beginning of the Republican Party gaining strength. Until then they were still living down Hoover and the depression.

As a watchman on the wall would tell you, Get Ready for the battle that is coming and keep focused on Abba. If I am sounding like doom and gloom, I am not! We are the victors and the Battle is the Lords. We don't go out whimpering and limping.

54 Nations were watching the Epicenter conference & 80+ churches had a live feed.. Many other Churches in our area were invited to be involved in this conference but many declined-(I suppose were unconcerned.) It seemed that they hit their expected attendance # of 8000 from what I could tell.
Also-San Diego is a hot spot for a WMD attack but I guess I'm not surprised. We have a lot of Military here.
The testimonies were fabulous & very encouraging. (I love that Coptic Priest-Father Zachariah who is bringing so many Muslims to Christ-he wasn't there but had made a personal video to show @ the conference.)

My husband would turn on the TV and listen to his speeches. I guess my experience with Todd Bentley & his "revival fire" permeating through the computer screen was enough for me.
In the far reaches of my mind I had sensed the way people were reacting to BO was strange & that he could have a similar effect going on so I refused to watch him & would leave the room.
Maybe it's a little overboard but I wasn't taking any chances.

BOO-funny and appropriate nickname for the one because he is certainly scary. Some folks at my parents church also felt the same as you Grany so you are not alone. They have always struck me as being very grounded in God's word and very godly as well.

common sense will only get you so far. I just basically took an instant dislike and instant distrust for the man. I hadn't heard of him really though until this last election cycle. I read extensively on both wnd, watched Beck and read Spectator before i ever heard him speak much and between the 3 was convinced this man would be a major disaster for the nation if he got the nomination and took the election. Since i tend not to watch or listen to things that make me want to yell at my TV I have generally avoided listening to the man.
If you will recall around the time of the elction I was feeling truly burdened for our nation and the election-knowing that if BOO was elected we were finished and God's hand of judgement was falling on us. I no longer feel burdened to pray much for our country-I do pray for our country but I think our course is set.
Israel will soon be on her own and have no one other than God to rely on.
Lisa, I probably would have been OK if I hadn't been going through some rough spots of my own at the time of the Emergence of BOO. At the time I was still trying to deal with the lost of eye sight in my right eye and trying not to see the world lopsided any more than necessary. But the real thing, and I think this is true of a lot of Born Again Believers, wanting to have someone that we could trust and not just another politician was a driving force. I so wanted to think that sincere and dedicated men/women would enter the political ring. It was a last ditch hope but it served a mighty big purpose in my life. I found out that I was NOT above being sucked in by manipulation and it has caused me to be very cautious, armed to the teeth and listening intently to the Holy Spirit's counsel. It was a very humbling experience. I let my guard down and was hoping when I should have been praying.
None of us are perfect and I agree with you regarding JIB because she has her head on securely and correctly. She judges all things according to the truth and sees things as they are and not as the promo presents them. Good sound judgment in my opinion. I would venture to say that her medical training is very much a mighty weapon in being able to see things this way. But, also her education in scripture theory while in college.
I admire the academic institutions and encourage all of us to further our understanding and knowledge of life. I just have a terrible time with the ones who have perverted the institutions that they were supposed to be representing. I loved my academic years and how many times I have wished that I had centered them on scriptures instead of the fields I enrolled in.
But what I am leaving out about my experience with BOO is simply this. I felt a rush of sympathy for him and his wife to begin with. I knew the regular attacks of some people and later,I actually feared for his life. I had a vision of him that haunted me during the whole campaign and I am hoping it was just a trick that the enemy was using to gain strength for the election process. I don't know any other reason for it but I have to remember that the enemy of our souls uses any and every weapon he can to gain control over all of us.
That is one major reason we are try the spirit by The Spirit in all things.
I am still learning and I have a lot of wrinkles and blemishes to get removed before I get my diploma.

No, as in Oh, just "boo" you know to scare someone! Not making fun, just stating my reaction to his actions to date. I pray for his salvation to be made complete in Jesus Christ but until then, I asking for God's intervention to turn evil into good so that the Kingdom of God is glorified.
Actually, the first time I typed BOO it was due to the fingers lingering too long on the "O" key. I don't look at my screen when I type. I most generally type with my eyes shut to rest them. I have been typing since I was 13 years old and it is natural for me to do it that way. I used to type the dictation as it was given instead of doing the shorthand and then transcribing it. I type very, very fast but then I started out on a manual typewriter (Royal) and you had to beat the keys on most of the old machines we were trained on. That was back in the late 40's. It is just an extended part of my body and so it comes naturally.
Sorry I didn't make the O explanation clearer. Hubby was needing me to help him and I wanted to get a quick answer off to you.

you make me blush. they funny thing is as a kid I was the most gullible person on the face of the planet. my parents teased me so much about it and told some fairly outrageous things so often that I believed I guess I just stopped taking a lot of things as face value and although i pretty much have zero hidden agendas in life I generally consider that most other people are not as up front and frank as me. I also am unfortunately rather cynical about politicians in general.

Lisa, perhaps he is the rider. My 12 year old daughter even asked me the other night after watching some of the news if Obama is the antichrist! My husband used to scoff at that kind of thought but now he is eeing more and more of what is going on. I don't think that we know the full extent of just who Obama is right now but we all know that he is playing some kind of big end time role.
We had a blessed day at church the other day. I am very thankful that the Lord is leading us regarding church. DH will not go and this was only our second Sunday going but the gospel was preached and we had a wonderful time of communion. I was holding back tears most of the time because it was so wonderful to hear the word read and the gospel preached, I felt so blessed and thankful. I almost did not go due to confusion on where we should be going and if I should find a place that has a bigger youth group or more classes and such. I think now that the evil one is trying to confuse me and get me to give up on church again. I am praying that DH will go to the Easter drama that they are putting on this week and church on resurection Sunday.
on a different note...my kids are on spring break now and it SNOWED last night! yuk. We are in Illinois and it generally does not snow this time of year but it has happened in the past, even in May. We will have to go to the mall today instead of the park :(

I don't have the greatest memory in the world-in fact I had my D.H. practically rolling on the floor last night when I asked him if

was "General Boycott?" (It's Boykin) He just looked at me and said "Lisa, you're so smart in some things but?"
My DH remembers details such as dates & times down to the T-so I knew he would remember everyone's name. (I keep telling him that he would be great @ memorizing the Bible chapter, verses, & dates.)
What Chuck Smith stressed was the authenticity of the Bible. The mathematical probability of prophetic truth & what's coming up next. (Gog/Magog) There's more to it but that's what stuck out in my mind. (Basically nothing new to me but for DH to hear him speak-he was greatly impressed by his knowledge & how he presented his arguments.)
I think he also mentioned that America will not stand by Israel & we are witnessing the fulfillment of that now. The time is at hand.

LISA, good point! Ready to roll is what I was thinking all last week at the G20 Conference. I was really thinking that it was just the USA news media that were focused on BOO HOO but that wasn't the case at all. There was just as much coverage coming out of other countries reporting services about The One.
One thing I know for sure. Well, maybe more than one but it is plain to see that major events have been fulfilled in the time line of the beginning of a one world government. Even a start of major proportions to a one world currency, one world religion and Israel's total dependence on God alone. How did all of this happen so quickly.
In February of 2007, I purchased my first book of Joel's called "The Ezekiel Option", then found out about the blog he had set up for Epicenter and posted my first comment on it 3/07/07. The talk was mostly about a young mother who was slowly dying of cancer and how everyone was encouraging the mother's friend, "Forgiven Daughter", as she was ministering and caring for her. There were so many bloggers there by various names and I was really not sure what was going on but I loved the fellowship of the whole group. But one name that stands out is "Josh" and his take on scripture was enough to rale up everyone. But most of what was being discussed as the next big move by God has taken place or is in the process of taking place. But not the fulfillment of Ez. 38 and 39. The major hostilities have not materialized, YET! But I can feel it in my bones and I have this dread everytime I start reading the news about Israel/Russia/Iran/BOO. In fact, it makes me physically ill. I shy away from it now but back in 2007, I was gung ho that this epic conflict was rearing its' public head and we were witnesses to it. I felt it was necessary to warn everyone and even the impact of praying for Israel and God's protection from evil doers.
Now, I don't want to talk about it! I really mean it. It is as if not talking about it, not addressing it, the whole thing will dissolve and fade away from actively coming about. Do any of the rest of you share this in any way. I mean, I have never been a person that hid from things or tried to gloss over them. A bug was bug and sunshine was sunshine. Straight forward and fully facing facts. It isn't that I am not facing facts now, I just don't want to think about all of the horrible things that have to come in relation to it.

After I read Lindsey's book the Late Great Planet Earth as a teenager-watched the Camp David accords with Carter etc I had the sense that the end times were approaching. I used to think about what living in the end times would really be like as we got closer to the Rapture. I longed to be living in the end times and be closer to the Rapture. I still long for the Rapture but now not so much to be living in the end times because it's going to be difficult to put it mildly and get more so even before the Rapture. With greater knowledge comes great realization of just what will happen or could happen and it really quite takes my breath away. I knew America would be involved in a one world government but I didn't think through how we'd get there until after I started reading and thinking more and talking with the folks on Joel's blog and here. Wow. This is not going to be good people.
I started reading Frucht and he said something interesting in one of his chapters that I really didn't think was accurate until I took a good look at the passage and I think he's right. The AC does not inaugurate the one world government he merely takes over that which is already in place. Which got me to thinking about the ramifications of me as a believer in a one world government even before the AC takes control. If you think through all the variables that we see now-we are in for some really tough times and I foresee persecution like the US has never seen before-all before the Tribulation. I think we have to keep in mind that it is a treaty or confirming of a treaty that starts the last 7 years of history as we know it.

Contrary to what the author was saying, those aren't veins in blue on his face and body. Those are nerve paths. Massage therapists learn that in order to do facial massages; Leonard Nimoy in Star Trek says when the writers first came up with the "Vulcan Mind Meld" he instinctively put his fingers on the person's face and only later found out he had picked out the major pressure points for the nerves of the face; and in Indian medicine and mythology, those are the paths which are used to carry prana (what the Chinese call "chi"), which is the body's energy, to and from the chakra centers.
What is being shown is the sixth chakra, Ajna. To quote from SacredCenters.com, This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us “see the big picture.” To me it says a lot as to how the artist views Obama's role in the world.

I might be repeating someone, but don't have time to read. I rarely get to watch Glenn Beck, but I just turned it on and he will be talking about the FEMA camps. I hope I can watch the whole thing to hear what he says!
Glenn Beck had as his expert Jim Meigs, editor-in-chief of Popular Mechanics. The only "camp" video they showed was from 1995 and is actually of a maintenance facility for Amtrac. The narrator is a woman named Linda Thompson who is/was involved in a militia. Then they showed a video of the main building (which Meigs provided) showing workers working on. . .trains! None of the videos I've seen showing the fences designed to keep people in, for example, were discussed. Beck and Meigs clearly think this is crazy conspiracy stuff.
Then the viewers were invited to go to glennbeck.com to sign up for newsletter which gives further info to debunk what he calls FEMA camp myth.
He plans to talk further about this tomorrow.
I have to tell you that I tend to think this is a myth as well, so my bias might be showing.

ANNE, I sincerely hope so. I would rather enjoy a good myth than be losing sleep over the purported 3 that are supposed to be in my area. One at Tinker AFB in OK City, Fort Chaffee which is in Ft. Smith, AR; and one in McAlester, OK. I have seen Ft. chaffee and it doesn't have any indication of such a FEMA camp, the area where the old interment camp used during WW2 to house/contain German POW's is overgrown with grass and is abandoned, and Tinker is a viable AFB, how be it, it has been reduced in operations since Wild Billie was president.
Hope it is just some wild imaginings. I will sleep better that way.

Can We Talk?
Winston Churchill called it his 'black dog.' Abraham Lincoln suffered from it all his life. I had all but forgotten about it while we were in Israel. But as soon as I got home and switched on the news, there it was again.
I thought it was just me. But I was talking to Frank and he said he noticed it himself as soon as he got home.
There is a sense of depression hanging over America that's thick enough to cut through with a knife. Everybody I've talked to since I've been home seems to be suffering from it, to some degree or another.
Most don't seem to realize it until somebody points it out, but it is there. Like a heavy black cloud. In some cases, maybe not depression -- at least, not in the clinical sense of the word -- but an uncomfortable sense that something is seriously not right that they can't quite put their finger on.
Maybe some of it can be explained by cognitive dissonance, but not all. Cognitive dissonance: that uncomfortable feeling that one gets from holding two, contradictory ideas simultaneously.
Example: "the best way to cure high deficits and big government is by higher deficits and bigger government." Or, "it's getting colder as a result of global warming."
But whether it is cognitive dissonance or actual depression, the black cloud hanging over most of us feels real enough to produce rain. I've shed more than a few tears over our decline (and I'll bet I'm not the only one who has caught themselves yelling at their TV).
I didn't feel it while I was in Israel. If anything, there was a sense of rightness that permeated the place that made coming back to the Land of Shadows that much more traumatic.
And now that we're back home, it's like everything is wrong. Like a scary movie.
Barack Obama went to Europe to blame America for all the world's ills.
Quoting directly from the London Telegraph: "His speech in Strasbourg went further than any United States president in history in criticising his own country’s action while standing on foreign soil."
Wow! This is a liberal British newspaper making this observation, not me. No US president in history was ever more critical of his own country while standing on foreign soil than Barack Hussein Obama.
President Obama also went to visit the Queen while he was in London. Lessons in proper protocol are part of the process of having an audience with the Queen. Protocol requirements differ, for example, between British subjects and non-British subjects, and so on.
For example, the royal hand, when extended, is only to be lightly, and briefly touched at the fingertip level. It is silly, but it's still protocol and carefully explained beforehand.
So when Obama gripped the Queen's hand in both of his, it was a deliberate breach of protocol designed to send a message. Traditional British-American ties are not as automatic as they think.
Then when Obama met with King Abdullah, he bowed like a subject greeting his emperor. Obama isn't an idiot. In fact, I'd have to call him a political genius unlike any I've ever seen. King Abdullah is the Custodian of the Two Mosques, the holiest sites in Islam.
Obama's subservient bow to King Abdullah was as carefully considered a reaction as his two-handed handshake with Queen Elizabeth. Obama's message to the Muslim world was that he was a lot more willing to look toward Mecca than they thought he was.
Gordon Brown announced that a "New World Order" (his words) had emerged out of the G-20 Summit meeting on Thursday. Amid calls for the scrapping of the US dollar in favor of a global currency was this interesting paragraph from the Financial Times:
"The G20 agreed to allow the IMF to create $250bn of Special Drawing Rights, its own currency, comprising dollars, euros, yen and sterling, boosting the foreign exchange reserves of every country."
So I guess the calls for a new world currency to replace the dollar will begin to die down, now that one exists!
The IMF is funded primarily from the G-7 under the auspices of the WEU's ten FULL members, essentially putting the SDR inside the European framework. Cozy, no?
It's like a scary movie. But its real. And it's depressing.
Assessment:
The Bible predicts the emergence in the last days of a ten-nation confederacy that will arise from the old Roman Empire. The prophet Daniel had a vision of four great beasts; a lion with eagle's wings, a bear, a winged leopard with four heads and;
"a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns." (Daniel 7:4-7)
History identifies the first four beasts as Babylon, Medo-Persia, Alexander's Greek Empire and the Roman Empire. The ten horns correspond with the ten toes on Nebuchadnezzar's image, recorded in Daniel Chapter 2.
Daniel interpreted the two legs of iron of the king's image as a 'fourth kingdom' out of which would arise an inferior incarnation symbolized by the images feet and toes.
"And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay." (Daniel 2:41)
Daniel also identifies the time frame in which this final confederation of ten kings would rule, saying;
"And in the days of THESE kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." (Daniel 2:44)
John describes the same ten kings in Revelation 17, identifying them as a 'beast' with seven heads and ten horns, upon which "Mystery Babylon, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth" is carried.
Staying with the 'woman' John notes, " here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." (Revelation 17:9).
There is only one city of the ancient world that is specifically known as the City on Seven Hills. If you don't believe me, "Google" the following phrase, "city on seven hills". It is one of the traditional titles for the city of Rome. Rome has been known by that title since before the time of Christ.
Dick Morris was on Greta Van Susteren yesterday explaining some of the G-20's decisions. Quoting from the transcript (posted at my blog):
"Literally from April 2nd of this year -- that is, today -- it's a whole new world of financial regulation in which, essentially, all of the U.S. regulatory bodies and all U.S. companies are put under international regulation, international supervision. It really amounts to a global economic government."
Morris goes on to explain that it will be headed by an Italian banker named Mario Draghi, and "populated largely by the European bank executives, will make the decisions on what standards our own SEC and Federal Reserve board should apply to all firms in the United States of any significant size about executive compensation, market activities, and a whole range of issues that used to be under free enterprise reserved for private decision making."

Mario Draghi lives in Rome. And 'Draghi' is Italian for 'dragon.' (Hey! Izzat Rod Serling?)
It is almost as if there were somebody sitting somewhere in some master control room, directing events from a script. And that Obama and all the rest of the world leaders in that bizarre frat-house photo have been following it to the letter.
And the script is so familiar that you shake your head and say, "Nah! It can't be that obvious . . can it?"
I dunno either. But it sure is interesting. Isn't it?

turn your sound on and get it settled in your heart, mind and soul~~God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind. Notice that God designates fear as a spiritual being and condition.
The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower and all that run into it are saved! Just the Name of Jesus is enough to scatter the minions of fear! We don't have time to fear anything, we have work to do and we don't want the Lord to find us sleeping and fooling around when he calls us out of this world.

that piece sobered me tremendously. I never actually considered the possibility that the USA may forcefully try and prevent Israel to take out Iran's nuclear facilities. The roles has been reversed...the US now defends Iran and that makes Israel the potential enemy of the US.

David was a man after God's own heart and a great, anointed king. But in many ways, he was just like us. Psalm 55 is an example. When the pressure was on, David just wanted to run away.
All of us have had similar urges. When life gets intense and troubles seem to offer no way out, we just want to get out of the situation. Every Christian who has been prepared by God and stretched to his or her limits can relate: There are times when we would do anything if God would just remove us from our trial. We'll pray for ways of escape, but God often leaves us surrounded until His time is right.
God has no scorn for such feelings. He made us and He knows our frailties. He understands our impulse to flee from whatever difficulties we face. But He also insists on our endurance, because it has spiritual results that nothing else can accomplish. And there is no way to learn endurance other than simply to endure. We can't learn it in principle or in theory; only pain can teach it to us.
The good news for those who go through intense trials and suffering is that once the impulse to flee is broken, God delivers. When endurance is complete, God removes the tribulation we endured. Every fear is followed by blessing (Psalm 55:4-8, 16-18). Our God does not leave us in our troubles. He has put us there to discover His provision; He will not withhold it indefinitely. There will be a day of deliverance.
FYI-last night I read that Mario Draghi, Italy’s central bank president(G20 meeting)-his last name "Draghi" means "Dragon".
Peculiar?
Yeah, I read the same thing about Draghi and thought how appropriate. There is more to a name than what we think. I named my daughter Rebecca Ruth and my son, John Carl. Becky's name means a quarrel appeased satisfactory but in some of the uses of the name it means a strong friend to bring into. J.C.'S name means the grace or mercy of God is the meaning of John. Carl is not defined in the Hebrew list.
So, what does this have to do with name's on a personal level. Well, Becky is known in her business world and also, family connections as a person with strong abilities to settle and overcome grievances and family disputes. Wades in and gets it done before it grows too big. J.C. is considered the mild mannered man that greatly cares for all the residents of his community and will do anything he can to help them. He is also known as a praying man that God answers mightily.
Now, when I was expecting them, I had no idea the meaning of their names but I like the sound and the feeling they generated in me. Becky nicknamed her brother long before he was ever conceived and he had nothing to do with Jesus so far as we knew.
I am not trying to elevate them to a higher level than they deserve but that is just how it is. Names have power and purpose. Do you suppose God had a big hand in the names we have given our children. I do.

I didn't mean to bring all of the comments to a stand still with my last comments about my kids names.
They are just my kids and once in awhile something goes right instead of to the fertilizer pile.
Now, with that said, I found something you all might like to read. THE LINK is a very interesting take on exactly what BOO was doing or expressing during his trip abroad.
In fact, it has all been interesting. I had to take a break from all my activity this day and of course, my refreshing is at the computer.
But the thing that is so very noticeable to me about BOO is where are the millions and millions that voted for him in November. Do they all work for ACORN?
