Prayer for All People

1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I urge you to offer petitions, prayers, intercessions, and expressions of thanks for all people,

1Ti 2:2 for kings, and for everyone who has authority, so that we might lead a quiet and peaceful life with all godliness and dignity.

1Ti 2:3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

1Ti 2:4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a full knowledge of the truth.

Hi Thuunda,

You asked:
Jim G, I bet you're a genius right?

You must have meant Jim C.

I'm actually half Italian, 7/16 German, and 1/16 Jewish (I think.)
Definitely no genius in me though.

Thuunda,

There is a large chain Christian bookstore in the U.S. & it carries the full spectrum of authors from one end to the other.

There is a bookstore attached to our Church which is privately owned (not by the Church-they just rent the space.) & you would not find any of those off-shoot Christian books. No Purpose Driven, No Shack, etc...

*Joel Rosenburg is always featured.
All the main Prophecy & Discernment Authors, Christian Biographies, Bibles, etc... It's so refreshing not to have to eyeball all the junk available.

must be nice to have a Christian bookstore. I am completely dependent on Borders (which has a lousy selection), Barnes and Noble (best selection) if I actually want to touch the book before buying it. If I don't care I can go to the Christian bookstore online but they have all the junk stuff too.

Lisa;
Thank you for the clairification on the "winepress" thing. I guess I lost you around the first bend on that. I thought you were setting the stage to tell us what the Lord had shown you at this time! Sorry.

Jim G:
Thank you for the kind word. I just wish I could express more concisely what I mean when I write. My thoughts run too far ahead of my fingers.

Berean;
Welcome! I am so glad to read your posts. You seem to have a great grasp of the scriptures and a gift of relating them to us of simple mind. Simple clairity seems to be one thing that is lacking today.

I think that most of us forget that there are "elect" from other ages. Each group seems to have a distinct destiny from the others. This, I think, is where the first thoughts of dispensationalism came from. But there are two very basic groups one can place everyone into; 1)those looking foreward to the coming messiah 2)those after. This leads logically to the question of what to do about the modern day Jews, covenent, and coming temple.

Thuunda;
Welcome back!
I have read recently were others have complained (on other blogs) about the flood of non-Bibilical books finding there way into Christian books stores. I think most stores don't screen their books but just stock shelves with what sells. I hope I'm wrong about that though, it doesn't speak well of discernment today. Or perhaps it does....

Grany;
What a blessing to read your explanation about faith. Don't stop contributing, there is no one who can put "it" like you do. God Bless!!

Marge,

Did you hear about this?

SB 5688 (GAY MARRIAGE) was voted on in the House Judiciary Committee today. It passed and now will go the House Ways and Means Committee for a fiscal assessment.

Not only did the House Judiciary Committee vote in favor of gay marriage but they also voted against religious freedom. A proposed amendment was introduced by Republican members of the Judiciary Committee, which would grant protection to churches and individuals who have religious objections to same-sex marriage. It was voted down.

If passed, this law will very possibly lead to the prosecution of churches and individuals whose religious beliefs differ with the state on their definition of marriage.

I guess 2,400 pro-traditional marriage advocates on the steps of Washington State's capitol didn't mean anything to them.

Great Grany 5 said...

Overcomer, I know you made your comment to Marge but as soon as I read it the words "reprobate minds" just shouted in me. The reason they have done so is a spiritual one and God is fulfilling his word to those who have shunned God. It will happen throughout the whole world because this is the beginning of the setup for the AC and the Second Coming of Christ. Look at all of the signs and know that He is at the door even now!

Sure I know I sound like a street corner Hell, Fire and Brimstone fanatic but I would rather be a fanatic shouting into the wind for the Kingdom of God than a nut case chasing after The One and destroying any hope for the real fruits of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5 verses 22 and w23 in the Amplified Bible tell us this:

22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [[a]that can bring a charge].

So God has turned them over to a reprobate mind and listen to what the scriptures tell about it:

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient" (Romans 1:28)

"Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith." ( 2Timothy 3:8)

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Titus 1:15
"They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." (Titus 1:16)
God is Sovereign and His word is completely fulfilled. When He says something, He means it and it will come to past.
Our country is in the worst shape it has ever been because of the rebellion against God and His Word that was made flesh and lived among us. The pace is picking up and you can sense it everyday, a little faster and things are not going to slow down.

Get your heels set and your war boots on because it is a Spiritual battle in the Heavenlies being allowed to happen on our turf. We aren't holding back very well but we will, as judgment begins in the House of the Lord.

Good to see everyone posting! Welcome to one and all!

Overcomer,
No, I hadn't heard about it. However, I agree with Grany.

Grany has been to our part of the country. (western WA.) And she knows how people (for the most part) ignore the things of God. So, it comes as no real shock, I suppose. It's sad though.

People need the Lord. Unfortunately, in our area, the majority neglect the Gospel.
The Scripture comes to mind;...

Heb. 2:3a

"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;..."

I had been attending (a few years back) a Mega Church, in Tacoma, WA. And then I heard the Pastor say; that he thought of the rapture, as an "escape" doctrine. And that he didn't believe in it, etc., etc., etc. To say, it made me sad would be an understatement.
When you go to church, and a Pastor (of two churches. one is in Bellevue, WA.) laughs at the promise of the soon return of Jesus? It speaks volumns of our area having more than a few "issues."

Pray for Revival in the Pacific Northwest, please. We need it!

Thank you, in advance.

Love,
Marge

Good Evening everyone,

Well, it's been a long and a full day. I've had my little nap and so I thought I would come by and say hello.

I was so thrilled to see the article by Dr. Ice appear on Bible Prophecy Today. Dr. Ice is one of my favorite theologians. I try to stay abreast of all the articles that are presented on his pre-trib site. His articles are always presented with such clarity, in my opinion.

So Jim G., in light of Dr. Ice's presentation of his paper on Bible Prophecy Today, which is much more concise than what I had prepared to present to you, I don't see any need in my continuing with answering those three questions for you. Dr. Ice basically covered those. I'm sure you will agree. I am always in constant awe at the timing of the Lord. You had those questions in your heart and the Lord sat about seeing that you got the answers you needed. Isn't He just Amazing!

Mac, I thank you for the links to those articles by Whitcomb. I had no idea he had a website. I wish the website had an option for enlarging the print. I would love to spend weeks there gleaning. I probably will too, with a magnifying glass or something.

I thank all of you for your kind words to me. But, I want all of you to know that I am no theologian. I love the WORD, as written; I believe every word is true (even when I have difficulty understanding it all); I have learned to have patience and trust that the Holy Spirit in His own way, and in His time, will reveal the understanding for those difficult parts. I don't add to or subtract from the written Word. And, I run everything I read or hear by the Holy Spirit. Even though I love Ice, Whitcomb, Ryrie, Pentacost, Spurgeon, etc. I still check it with the Word and by the Spirit.

These are amazing and exciting days we are blessed to be a part of, and I for one have had an incredible week. And, I expect more of the same. But, I also have to check my excitement and not get caught up in my own imaginings about how are we going to get from here to what God said about that. And, I check myself it getting too caught up in the speculations of others too. Those things can't be verified by the Word (many can be ruled out by the Word though).

So, I'm going to say goodnight, my brothers and sisters. Talk to you soon (if not here, up there!).

Maranatha,

A Berean,

I so appreciate your comments. I, too am a great admirer of the works of Whitcomb.

In 2207, Whitcomb submitted an article to the Pre-Trib Research Group, entitled:

"The Two Witnesses: First or Second Half of the Tribulation?"

It is one of the best articles I have ever read on this subject. He also accurately identifies the two witnesses, at least in my opinion. I do not know how to link so I am just going to give you the web address.

http://www.pre-trib.org/article-view.php?id=337

On Whitcomb's website, he has an older article, entitled "Elijah is Coming," which is also very good.

Lisa, you have been blessed to have been put under the pastorage of Pastor Bentley. He is a very good teacher. I have learned a lot from him. I pray that you will take full advantage of your time under his teaching. Also, as I was praying for you and your husband tonight, I was wondering, does he attend worship and Bible Study with you? I feel in my spirit that is what he needs. The truth of the sciptures fed into his soul.

I Know My Redeemer Lives

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God. I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought! Job 19:25-27 NLT

I know that my Redeemer lives; what joy the blest assurance gives! He lives, He lives, who once was dead; He lives, my everlasting Head!

He lives, all glory to His name; He lives, my Savior, still the same; what joy the blest assurance gives: I know that my Redeemer lives!

I Know That My Redeemer Lives
Samuel Medley (1738-1799)

One of those verses

Every once in a while, a verse jumps out of the Old Testament and takes on a new meaning. Job lost his fortune, family, and much of his health. In a stunning display of faith, he expresses his only remaining hope: "I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth" (Job 19:25). The words find an uncanny fulfillment in Jesus.

Jesus gave His life to redeem us, to buy us back from our slavery to sin. His death was the price of our freedom. But that's not the bottom line, thank God. As the sun rises on Easter morning, we can say with Job, "I know that my Redeemer lives." He lives! Death could not hold Him. He lives, to finish salvation's work in me.

Good morning friends. Today I would welcome anyone's prayers for marriage. MyDH went on a yelling tirade late last night and the gilrs heard the whole thing. It was over a miscomunication that he took the wrong way. I did not yell back, praise the Lord. But, he used horrible language and I am just at the end of myself, as usuall. Spent most of the night praying and crying. My DH does not seem to feel bad for anything that he does wrong. Sorry to ramble. Please pray for this situation as the Lord knows all about it.

Have a blessed day saints

Thank you Jim and Donna. Sometimes it does FEEL like the Lord does not hear my cries to Him or even see my tears but I KNOW that He does. Just because I feel something does not mean that it is true and I cherish the scriptures that you share with me. In my prayers I always ask the Lord to give me the "fruit of the Spirit" and to change what needs to change in me. I can see how He has done that for I do not react to my DH's angry words anymore as I used to yell at him back and get angry myself. The Lord has changed that in me, all praise to Him for that.

Thank you for your much needed prayers today. This seems to be a need for me everyother day!

Diana, been in your shoes in the past and I am praying for you/DH and the children.

I am setting my face like flint against the enemy not because of my greatness but because of whose I am. The Holy Spirit lives within me and has brought me to this place in this hour for such a time as this. I will not back down and I will not quit. All that is in me desires to glorify and praise the Lord most High. We will rejoice in this day and be glad in it for it is the Day that the Lord has made.

Evil roams the earth seeking and finding those which it can steal from, rob from and destroy. I am not a child of the darkness but my Redeemer lives in me. Therefore, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." Is. 54:17

It is a good day to sleep in here in Okieland but believe me, there is no desire to do so within me. I got up excited in what great and wonderful things God is doing in the world today and I am ready to roll.

Leanna,

So far D.H. is only motivated to go to Sunday Church & not a Bible Study. I think to him it's an additional day out of his work schedule. (Priorities, priorities.) He is eager to go on Sundays though.

(I signed him up for one of the Men's Breakfast & he went to that.)

I think you’re right though. If he could join a Bible study-particularly a men's group-he would
bloom & possibly find a mentor. (D.H. if very much a man's man. W/the addition of the wives input-he would be blabbing about everyone's personal marriage dynamic & not as focused on God.)

The one night I go to Bible study he's calling me before or the second I leave for home. He can't wait until I'm back to deal w/the kids. (He looks tempted to tell me that he rather have me stay home but is holding back.)

In fact someone asked me about him & the last study & I mentioned that he's coming along spiritually at a snail's pace. I can't believe he's excited to go to the Epicenter conference-so that's a good sign. Also he's meeting & mentioning from work the people he comes across which are Christian.

I've noticed that he's usually the one to bring the topic up so he's not shy about it.(Of course that goes w/o saying. He's not shy about much of anything.)

At the last Revelation Bible study we were supposed to study "God's Wrath" but the leader felt that we should discuss the Christian single/dating topic because of a concern from the previous week.

We spent the entire two hours on this topic w/all these women interjecting their 2 cents. I think I said a total of two things & I had to literally start speaking as someone else was already finishing their thought because there was not two seconds of silence.

Now if this wouldn't drive me nuts than nothing else will. I sure hope we can get back to the actual study next week.

I'm going to keep a lookout for hubby to join a study though & thank you for the encouragement. If the right one presents it's self maybe he'll be motivated to go.

2-my foot has not been correct since I injured it this last summer. wednesday I thought the foot felt a little odd, flexed it, and severe pain ensued. xrays today look like I've fractured one of the bones in my right foot or dislocated the joint somehow. not sure if this is a refracture of previously injured area (hurts in the same spot) or a new fracture. I will likely be spending another 8 weeks in a big walking boot possibly a for real cast which would be VERY inconvenient for someone who is self employed and stands all day long. MRI is on Monday (although it would be nice to have done before then). Half my work I can do sitting but not the most important half. it could be much worse however

If you are using either Firefox or IE for browsing the internet, on your computer keyboard, at the first row of keys listed as Ctrl, Start,Alt space bar, so forth, hold down the Ctrl key and while holding it down, press down repeatedly the + key on the upper row of number keys. It will enlarge the print to whatever you have to have to enable you to read. You can reverse it by striking the - (Minus key) until just the right size. The plus key is the shift key of = key, and the minus is the lower case (regular typing mode) of the key just to the left of it.

Hope that helps you as much as it has me.

Diana,

I had wanted to see it so finally rented it last week. Do you have those "Red box" Vending movie machines @ WalMart or the Grocery store? They're only $1.00 per night.

Anyway-I don't know what effect Fireproof may have but it's worth giving it a shot.(I saw in the Christian bookstore that they have a "Fireproof" book w/a marriage course in it.)

The beginning is kind of shocking w/a scene of the husband in the kitchen yelling @ his wife. After that it smoothes out. Our daughters watched & I was OK w/it but D.H. didn't like the idea. (I think it hit a little too close to home.)

So better if the kids were already in bed. The kids & I loved the movie. D.H. got a little testy when we discussed it because he felt the husband was portrayed as the "bad guy." (It's as if I rented it specifically "for him." Really, I had no clue other that it was a Christian film & was made to help marriages so I wanted to see it.)

Actually they both needed help & healing but it was the husband who made the 1st move & ended up leading his wife to Christ through his "Born Again" behavior.

So I don't know if my D.H. completely got the concept of the whole picture or if he felt a little convicted & therefore got defensive.

I didn't tell him this but when the girls & I saw it the 1st time around the eldest said in the angry yelling scene "That reminds me of dad." It's really sad but I can see it. He doesn't beat on things physically but at times the frustration/anger level is certainly present.

The beautiful part is how you see the husband transformed by his submission to Christ & then by the conviction & power of the Holy Spirit. And-there are some funny parts too!

Thank you for the post on dispensationalism. It looks like a good overview of the system. I personaly don't agree with every statement of what I have read so far, but probably agree with 99%.

One statement that one of the authors had was definitely his own opinion though. He said effectively that the KJV was the only one given by God. Once anyone looks into where the various versions came from, they can see there are short-comings in every translation.

Anyway, still a very good overview, I know I will learn something new for sure!

So far I think they are more consistent and have better answers that the Covenant people. I totally agree re the KJV. I don’t understand the view that the KJV itself is somehow inerrant yet I know a few who consider it to be so.

I've had some very deep moments over the years with the Lord, I just naturally fit better into the southern baptist or EV free mold than pentacostal types. But over the last month or too, I too have felt very strong warnings about the future, to be prepared, to put on the full armor and leave it on. (anybody ever wear real medieval armor? I have and let me tell you, you can't sleep in it. ) Anyway, I have come to recognize that I am under great spiritual attack. I believe from the posts here we all are.... spiritual, marital, physical, financial, you name it. Then I realized tonight it's like football, yeah I played 11 yrs of it. During a goal line stand a weaker team can sometimes run a few good defensive plays and slow or stop the better team from scoring. You usually try to hit the ball handlers, those who are doing something useful. But, usually the stronger team punches through and scores anyway. Well, the old dog, the angel of light, knows he's losing and is putting on a goal line defense right now, attacking those who are capable in any way of scoring on him.
So, Lord, I pray that you guard and shelter my brothers and sisters in Christ on this web/fellowship/blog from the attacks of the devil. Let us wear the armor you have given us well, until the goal is met and you come for us. I'll keep praying for us all.

In His Grip,
Scott

PS I should be in bed sleeping off my cold, but He got me up to write this now, I don't know why now, but I trust in Him.

Here is something on the topic of Dispensations that I copied from Dr. Fruchtenbaum's Q and A section at ariel.org.

Could you give me a definition for dispensation? I have seen this written many places and heard people use it but it is never defined?

AnswerTo answer your question, the basic meaning of “dispensation”, from the Greek word oikonomia has the basic meaning of “economy”, “stewardship”, and refers to a basic rule of life. The word itself does not carry the concept of a period of time such as the word “age” but obviously an economy or stewardship is exercised during a period of time.

Thus all theologies will speak of at least an Old Testament dispensation and a New Testament dispensation, recognizing there were at least two different rules of life in these periods of time and the coming of the Messiah obviously made some changes.

In dispensational theology most of us hold to seven dispensations which simply means that God had seven different rules of life based upon the covenants he revealed in most cases. It is not seven different ways of getting saved because salvation is always by grace through faith, but simply seven different rules of life in different periods of time.

The seven dispensations are as follows:

* The Dispensation of Innocence – from the creation of man to the fall of man based upon the Edenic Covenant;
* The Dispensation of Conscience – from Adam to Noah based upon the Adamic Covenant;
* The Dispensation of Human Government – from Noah to Abraham based upon the Noahic Covenant;
* The Dispensation of Promise – from Abraham to Moses based upon the Abrahamic Covenant;
* The Dispensation of Law – from Moses to the Messiah’s death based upon the Mosaic Covenant;
* The Dispensation of Grace – from Messiah’s death until Messiah’s Second Coming based upon the New Covenant;
* The Dispensation of the Kingdom – from the Second Coming until the creation of the new order based upon the Davidic Covenant and new revelation.

For a more in-depth understanding of the dispensations see Messianic Bible Studies MBS-041 “The Dispensations of God” and MBS-021 “The Eight Covenants of the Bible”. Both are available in PDF, printed Manuscript, or MP3 audio format from our online Catalog."

I have his permission to copy this for all of you here. He has added material in PDF format that you can download on his "Fruit" portion on the site.

I have that teaching and it isn't expensive if there is a charge for it. I don't really remember if it is free or a paid download.

Thanks Scott for your words of encouragement regarding attacks of Satan. We have been seeing a lot of those attacks here as well. Yet, we know that God is about to win.

we had a ministerial here at our place today, and one of the men shared about how he has prayed for revival here for many years, and he was feeling discouraged lately. The other day he was asking God for strength and then opened his Bible to Heb. 10:35-39.

"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while,
"He who is coming will come and will not delay.
But my righteous one will live by faith.
And if he shrinks back,
I will not be pleased with him. "But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved."

He then was directed to Luke 18 where the widow asked the reluctant judge many times until he answered.

My thots are that it is not revival that is coming, but rather the Lord himself. I would love "revival" in the sense of many new people coming to the Lord, but I feel that it will be graduation time.

Regarding dispensationalism, I tend to believe more in progressive revelation. The basics have never changed "Love the Lord and Obey his commands". Salvation has always been thru dependence only in the Lord. The focus of the covenant has changed and will change, but salvation for the individual has always and will always be by personal submission to God.

traditional dispensationalism recognizes the unique way that God revealed himself to each stage of God's revelation, but it tends to ignore the commonality between all past and future distinct periods of history.

Thank you everyone for the Scriptures you have shared. It means a lot to me to read these words of encouragement each day.
Diana, Lisa- I’m keeping you in my prayers. I’ve been there and have seen God perform His wonders.
Nate, praise God for his healing! I have a disintegrated L5 but opted out of surgery. Its been almost 20 years now……..
Like the woman in the parable I am also pleading before the Judge. I’ve had my own successful business for the last 23 years but things have really nosedived in the last year. I’ve been living off my home equity, but even that is running out. Getting an outside job at my age is proving to be difficult. I know I’ll weather this storm, with my Fathers help. I just don’t know what to do next. Please pray with me. (I’ll be sixty this year and have no dept other than my mortgage. No bailout for me!)

Scott, I love you football analogy & Wayne-the Holy Spirit inspired scriptures are a great reminder to just press on & forge ahead.

Your right. Looks like days of smooth sail’in in the Spirit are past & now we are on the front lines.

I think back to last year & the
"777" Stock Market sign-then in January-even before the election many sensed that God was about to withhold his hand of protection from America. (Perhaps He is taking one finger off at a time?)

Then when I look at all of this "Global" talk what I see is sinister power & greed. Not that America doesn't have its fare share but now it's as if the others can see the U.S. tittering on the brink of collapse & the various strong nations are all vying for position.

I suppose Satan knows God's children in America have been prepared for such a time as this so he'll do everything he can to discourage us. He's also looking to see if we can be worn down along w/this Country which would also give him an opportunity to attempt to strike & shipwreck our faith.

Meanwhile false shepherds have infiltrated many of our Churches & are filling the minds of Saints w/false truths & turning them against those to continue to search & speak truth.

At the same time the world is getting prepared to turn on the gospel of Christ in truth by labeling it hate speech because it's non-inclusive. Especially if you're end time beliefs support the state of Israel.

So as we see the mountain of opposition rise up block by block to silence & defeat the Saints-we can't shrink back but know by faith that our great mountain is built by the Creator of all things & that in His perfect timing-He will crush Satan & all those who will remain unrighteous w/o Christ.

Last night this stuck out:

2 Peter 2:1-9

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of the truth was blasphemed, By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom & Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly,; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)- then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority.... "

3:14-17 "Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot & blameless; and consider the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation-as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, as written to you, as also in his epistles, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as the do also the rest of the Scriptures.

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now & forever. Amen."

(By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words) My D.H. thinks this means the prosperity gospel in our day.

LISA and all of us, remember in Acts 4 Peter and John were arrested because they preached Jesus Christ and his resurrection. The religious leaders of their days were determined to erase the name of Jesus from their minds. Peter and John had just trusted The Name of Jesus to heal the lame begger at the gate and they were facing charges for doing so. Here let this tell the story: Acts 4:AND WHILE they [Peter and John] were talking to the people, the high priests and the military commander of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 Being vexed and indignant through and through because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in [the case of] Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3 So they laid hands on them (arrested them) and put them in prison until the following day, for it was already evening. 4 But many of those who heard the message believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on Jesus as the Christ). And their number grew and came to about 5,000.

5 Then on the following day, their magistrates and elders and scribes were assembled in Jerusalem, 6 Including Annas the high priest and Caiaphas and John and Alexander and all others who belonged to the high priestly relationship. 7 And they set the men in their midst and repeatedly demanded, By what sort of power or by what kind of authority did [such people as] you do this [healing]?

8Then Peter, [because he was] filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and members of the council (the Sanhedrin), 9 If we are being put on trial today and examined concerning a good deed done to benefit a feeble (helpless) cripple, by what means this man has been restored to health, 10 Let it be known and understood by all of you, and by the whole house of Israel, that in the name and through the power and authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, [but] Whom God raised from the dead, in Him and by means of Him this man is standing here before you well and sound in body.

11This [Jesus] is the Stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone]. 12 And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools [common men with no educational advantages], they marveled; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And since they saw the man who had been cured standing there beside them, they could not contradict the fact or say anything in opposition. 15 But having ordered [the prisoners] to go aside out of the council [chamber], they conferred (debated) among themselves, 16 Saying, What are we to do with these men? For that an extraordinary miracle has been performed by (through) them is plain to all the residents of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.
17 But in order that it may not spread further among the people and the nation, let us warn and forbid them with a stern threat to speak any more to anyone in this name [or about this Person].

18 [So] they summoned them and imperatively instructed them not to converse in any way or teach at all in or about the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John replied to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you and obey you rather than God, you must decide (judge). 20 But we [ourselves] cannot help telling what we have seen and heard. 21 Then when [the rulers and council members] had further threatened them, they let them go, not seeing how they could secure a conviction against them because of the people; for everybody was praising and glorifying God for what had occurred. 22 For the man on whom this sign (miracle) of healing was performed was more than forty years old.

23 After they were permitted to go, [the apostles] returned to their own [company] and told all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

24 And when they (the believers) heard it, lifted their voices together with one united mind to God and said, O Sovereign Lord, You are He Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything that is in them, 25 Who by the mouth of our forefather David, Your servant and child, said through the Holy Spirit, Why did the heathen (Gentiles) become wanton and insolent and rage, and the people imagine and study and plan vain (fruitless) things [that will not succeed]? 26 The kings of the earth took their stand in array [for attack] and the rulers were assembled and combined together against the Lord and against His Anointed (Christ, the Messiah).

27 For in this city there actually met and plotted together against Your holy Child and Servant Jesus, Whom You consecrated by anointing, both Herod and Pontius Pilate with the Gentiles and peoples of Israel,
28 To carry out all that Your hand and Your will and purpose had predestined (predetermined) should occur.
29 And now, Lord, observe their threats and grant to Your bond servants [full freedom] to declare Your message fearlessly,30 While You stretch out Your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage."

We don't shrink back but we pray for God to give us the same boldness, authority and opportunity to take the Gospel to all of the world and then the end shall come.
DON'T SHRINK BACK AND DON'T QUIT!

Is anyone here familiar with Identity Christians?

They have some strange theology regarding Israel and the Jews. It's not replacement theology. It's much worse in my opinion.

Two of the leaders in this movement are Pastor Alan Campbell of Belfast Ireland and Ted R. Weiland.

Here's a snipet from
http://www.1335.com/national.html

We believe that this people, the descendants of the patriarch Jacob, the grandson of Abraham are a distinct and separate people from those who call themselves Jews today. We see from Scripture that following the death of Solomon, the nation of ISRAEL was divided into a northern ten-tribed Kingdom of Israel and a southern two-tribed Kingdom of Judah. Henceforth in prophecy these two kingdoms are variously described as "Two Families", "Two Nations", "Two Houses", "Two Sticks", "Two Sisters" and "Two Sons" etc.

Between the years 745 BC and 676 BC the people of the Northern Kingdom plus 200,000 Judahites were taken captive by the Assyrians and sent into exile in the region of Halath and Habor by the river of Gozan and in the cities of the Medes. These people never returned to Palestine and became known as the "Lost Tribes of Israel".

On the collapse of the Assyrian Empire, secular history traces their migrations across Southern Russia and the Crimea into Europe - however, now, they were no longer known as Israel but arrived in Europe under a variety of new names such as Goths, Cimmerians, Cimbri, Celts, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danes and Vikings etc.

Today we find these true descendants of Israel located in the Celto-Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian, Germanic and Holland/Dutch peoples, headed up in the United States of America, the "great nation" of prophecy and in the British Commonwealth-Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc-the prophesied company or Commonwealth of nations (Genesis 35:11).

These people possess all the characteristics and distinguishing marks of Israel and are doing what prophecy says Israel was to do in the latter days. The marks of the identification of this race of people with the Israel of the Bible are so many and so pronounced that anyone who studies the Bible with an open mind cannot reach any other conclusion. Even the very chastisements and corrective judgements of God, set forth in Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 as the Divine penalty for Israel`s disobedience and which are currently in force in the Israel lands, especially the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa, all loudly proclaim the truth of this identification.

LA Time's Rutten Smears Pro-Life Catholics, Misrepresents Notre Dame-Obama Scandal

Here's how Rutten portrays pro-life Catholics who are protesting President Obama's appearance at Notre Dame:

Some people just won't be happy until the Inquisition has office space again and kindling is being piled up around the local stakes.

Puh-leeze. Rutten is completely ignorant to the fact that those who protest Obama's appearance are simply seeking to uphold what the full body of United States Catholic bishops declared five years ago:

The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.

And if Rutten or anyone else is unclear as to what those "fundamental moral principles" include, the very same document states:

[T]he killing of an unborn child is always intrinsically evil and can never be justified.

Jim G. You might investigate Dr. Fruchtenbaum's site at www.ariel.org and he is great about responding to your questions. His teachings are very solid based and have been discussed quite a bit on this blog. At first gland, they have taken the same old smear route. Just a tad of truth to make it seem legitimate and then attack. Will see what else they have to say but as Grant Jeffrey has remarked, there are no lost tribes of Israel. God knows exactly where they are and what they are doing.

Received this from Stan Jerusalem Watchman:
Europe, we hear you; now you hear the word of God
Posted on Sunday 29 March 2009

This is a message to the foreign minister of the Czech Republic and to his counterparts in the European Union, over which his government currently presides:

Mr Karel Schwarzenberg,

Israel this weekend heard your clear and unequivocal message; your demand that its new government embrace and facilitate the division of Jewish lands for the creation of an Arab state; your warning that Israel will pay if it fails to acquiesce.

As the Jews went into their synagogues Friday evening to worship their God, you were loudly applauding the already-intensive efforts of the new Obama administration to oversee and direct the slicing and dicing of the Land He gave to them.

Once their Sabbath was over, observant Jews would have read about how your friend from Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, said: “We must tell the Israelis that it is not allowed to walk away from the peace process…”

You both came hard and fast behind the arrogant and bullying diktat that erupted from Javier Solana earlier this month, when he looked directly into the cameras and spelled out his message to Israel:

“Let me say very clearly that the way the European Union will relate to an [Israeli] government that is not committed to a two-state solution will be very, very different.”

Indeed, there was nothing at all unclear about that.

But gentlemen, even clearer than your threats are God’s words to Israel, and His warnings to you, concerning this land.

To Abraham, God repeatedly promises ownership forever of the land upon which you plot and plan to build a Palestinian state:

Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” (Genesis 12:8)

And the LORD said to Abram, after lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are-northward, southward, eastward and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. … Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” (Genesis 13:14,15,17)

Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “… And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” (Genesis 17:3,7,8)

In Isaac this promise was established, when Gold told Abraham that: “… in Isaac [not Ishmael] your seed shall be called.” (Genesis 21:12 c).

To Isaac the deed of the land was confirmed:

Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “… Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; (Genesis 26:2,3,4)

Isaac passed on the covenant to Jacob when he blessed him:

“May God Almighty bless you,
And make you fruitful and multiply you,
That you may be an assembly of peoples;

And give you the blessing of Abraham,
To you and your descendants with you,
That you may inherit the land
In which you are a stranger,
Which God gave to Abraham.” (Genesis 28:3,4)

God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, and confirmed that the covenant of the land was passed onto him and his descendants (and not to Ishmael, Esau or any of their descendants):

And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” So He called his name Israel. Also God said to him: “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body. The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.” (Genesis 35:10,11,12)

On his deathbed, Israel assured his son Joseph:

“Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers. Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.” (Genesis 48:21,22)

Joseph passed the promise onto his brothers:

And Joseph said to his brethren, “I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” (Genesis 50:24)

God, citing His everlasting promise to the founding fathers of the nation of Israel, commissioned Moses to implement Joseph’s words:

Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’ Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’ (Exodus 3:15-17)

And after the 12 Tribes of Israel had wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, God passed the charge onto Joshua, saying:

“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory…” (Joshua 1:2-4)

Israel conquered the Land – destroying and driving out its inhabitants in a way that doubtless would have appalled and enraged the EU, had you existed then, but in direct accordance with the instruction of the Creator of heaven and earth.

The nation took root and grew on this land. Here it was established and here, 3000 years ago, it made Jerusalem its capital. Because of the people’s unfaithfulness towards God, He sent them into exile, but He never ended His covenant with them; never revoked their ownership of the land, and repeatedly promised through prophet after prophet to one day bring them back and establish them again inside their borders.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. …” (Jeremiah 16:14,15)

God gave them this land, exclusively and forever. He is keeping His promise to restore them to this land and, scoff though you may; it is in His purpose to make little Israel chief among all the nations of the world.

The “great” and arrogant nations you represent have two choices ahead of them: They will either serve Israel, or they will perish.

You might not believe in God, Messrs Solana, Schwarzenberg, and Asselhorn. You might disregard His word, sneer at it and dismiss it out of hand, it matters not.

You will stand before Him one day to give account for your actions. Your nations will be brought into the valley and be judged according to their treatment of the Jewish people and your dealings with their land.

“For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will also gather all nations,
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land…” (Joel 3:1,2)

Note that God continues:

“They have cast lots for My people, …” (v.3)

If you know the Bible, then you know what happened to another man and nation that dared cast lots for the people of Israel.

Lot means Pur – and as they have every year for millennia – the Jewish people have just celebrated Purim, their deliverance from – and the destruction of –Haman and those who had volunteered to implement his planned genocide of the Jews of Persia.

But to Zion (you know, from which word and place comes the universally-vilified movement called “Zionism”), God says:

“The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls,
And their kings shall minister to you;
For in My wrath I struck you,
But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
Therefore your gates shall be open continually;
They shall not be shut day or night,
That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles,
And their kings in procession.
For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish,
And those nations shall be utterly ruined. …” (Isaiah 60:10,11,12)

These are not my words.

This is the word of the LORD."

I like the way Stan responds to evil and presumptive people. He made my morning come alive. Now to get ready for 2nd session services.

Late Night Lisa: I walked into a well known chain of bookstores the other day and I was aghast at what was on offer. I particularly remember seeing the "Nooma" DVD's that Rob Bell makes on a special stand featuring the full collection it seems. And what gullible people are buying those DVD's? Some of them are like 11 minutes long at a converted price of about $10 - $15? I'll check out those links on faith. Thanks!

Alesia: Thank you for your concern. The truth is that I had quite a setback last year, but taking everything into account I'm doing pretty well. However, my heart is so heavy about what is happening in the "church". Particularly I feel that my home church is being hi-jacked.

Grany: I visited my gramma yesterday. She stays far away and I only see her now and again. She will be turning 91 this year and I wanted to show her my little boy which is the latest edition to her hatchlings of great grandchildren. Unfortunately she is not all herself these days, but she had a "clear" moment when I was there and I enjoyed the brief fellowship we had (she could not believe how much he looked like me...lol). I sometimes feel like a grampa as I identify so much better with the older generation. Is it just me or is the new generation (15 - 25 year olds) downright weird?

Oh and some observations from my side of the world:

1. As I've mentioned before, the church that I fellowship at just had a "merger" with another church. Before the merger I already had concerns about my church, but now my concerns are even bigger. The biggest problem I have is that I cannot determine anymore (by what is preached) what my pastors' believes are. Al I ever hear these days revolves all around me, or fellowship and relationships, but very little gospel. I'm trying to find the good in every sermon, but I'm dissapointed every time as I go away feeling empty...that's the only way I can describe it...it's that uncomfortable, sad feeling that I did not hear a message from the bible (even though some passages were read) but all I got was some pop-phsycology message. I really detest that. Oh, and the "stage" now looks like a rock concert stage (disco lights, the works), which is not an issue per se as long as the pure word of God is preached, but I just don't think it is. I think I'm losing "my church" to the "emergents" and "purpose driven madness" movements. The funny thing is, I cannot pinpoint exactly what my concerns are. It sounds like a church, it behaves like a church, it talks like a church, but it all feels "empty". Difficult to describe. Anybody else have that experience before?

2. TV. Wow, is it getting out of hand! I'm sure it's much worse in the States and OZ, but I cannot seem to watch TV these days without hearing blasphemy (on ANY channel, even sport and news channels) or have half naked women shoved into my face (whilst my little boy is watching), and this on even on SPORT channels (during commercials or otherwise).

I think the time has come to get rid of that thing. Anybody else switched off their TV's?

THUUNDA, I too am saddened by the World literature that is being placed in book stores that Claim to be Christian. We have three real Christian book stores in our neighboring town and owned locally. No junk in those stores but the price we pay to Waldenbooks, Sam's, Barnes and Noble, and all of the others like them, are setting the pace for covering everyone's interest. I don't go into the other ones anymore and when they inquire about my absence I tell them the truth.

Your Grany has lived a long and blessed life and no matter that she has periods of wandering off in her thinking, she is still here to enjoy and love. She has to have planted some very excellent seed in you and now you get to do the planting in your little son. You have to know that whether we are here physically/mentally love endures way beyond our understanding. My mother used to tell me "Love never dies and it is always there for the recalling!" I like that and it is true.

It is great having you back in the fold Thuunda and we need you too.

JIM G. Did you think of other scriptures that Stan could have used in his rebuttal to the EU person? I did and it is still rolling in me. I would love to send Bibi a letter telling him to shut the USA out of their dialogue but you know, that is something he will have to be lead to do by the Holy Spirit. I don't have the proper credentials to address him but I know a evangelist/teacher that does and I think I will send her what I would love to tell him.

Short of a real cloud buster storm sneaking up on us, it is so very beautiful outside today and I am going to get my self presentable and go visit some dear friends in the nursing home here. My little lady fighting cancer (way past what Hospice had figured) went to be with the Lord and I am going to miss her so very much. What a beacon of light she was and still is.

Love to all,
Grany

Jim G., Shalom! Thanks for the article quote in defense of the effort to get Notre Dame to withdraw its invitation to President Obama to speak. I happened to read it just at the time I was reading another essay by Mark Mallett, The Pope: Thermometer of Apostasy. I think the title is accurate, because when you have one Protestant minister bashing another, it can be chalked up to "doctrinal differences"; but when you have Catholic bishops openly and publicly criticizing the Pope, that's when you have the beginnings of apostasy. (Portuguese bishop Monsignor Ilidio Leandro challenges Pope Benedict XVI's stance on condoms)

(Although in all fairness to the good bishop, this could just be another media misrepresentation: The bishop said, A person with AIDS "who cannot avoid having sexual relations is morally obliged to avoid passing on the disease by using a condom". This is in reference to a debate that had been within the Church on the subject of married people using condoms, where one of the couple has AIDS. In that case, it is permissible to use condoms since the primary goal of their use is to prevent the transmission of a disease, not to prevent the conception of life.) However, you can trace the beginning of apostasy back 40 years ago, after Paul VI released the encyclical Humana Vitae (On Human Life), which dealt with the topic of artificial birth control. This encyclical was met with a firestorm of criticism, with (for example) the entire Canadian Council of Bishops rejecting it.

I noticed that CNN this weekend had a big story on how all sorts of people were protesting the Pope's remarks on how condoms in Africa actually spread AIDS. There's even a Facebook group that's trying to get people to mail condoms to the Vatican. Facebook users wage condom campaign against Pope Meanwhile, there's absolutely NO coverage in the MSM on these two stories:

Harvard Researcher agrees with Pope on condoms in Africa

Pope Benedict’s recent brief remark against condoms has caused an uproar in the press, but several prominent scientists dedicated to preventing AIDS are defending the Pope, saying he was correct in his analysis. In an interview with CNA, Dr. Edward Green explained that although condoms should work, in theory, they may be “exacerbating the problem” in Africa.

Senior Harvard Research Scientist for AIDS Prevention, Dr. Edward Green, who is the author of five books, including “Rethinking AIDS Prevention: Learning from Successes in Developing Countries” discussed his support for Pope Benedict XVI’s comments with CNA.

According to Dr. Green, science is finding that the media is actually on the wrong side of the issue. In fact, Green says that not only do condoms not work, but that they may be “exacerbating the problem” in Africa.

Surprise: Study Finds Condoms Don't Work

Here’s a headline you probably didn’t see lately: "Massive U.S. Government Study Finds That Condoms Don’t Work."

If that were the case, you’d think it would be pretty big news, wouldn’t you? It would make headlines, what with all of the people relying on "safe sex" and their Planned Parenthood-issued condoms to keep them happy and disease-free.

Not so, my friends, not so.

You see, this is the case. On July 20, a report was issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A scientific panel co-sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), developed the report. It was based on a yearlong study in which 28 researchers reviewed 138 peer-reviewed, published studies on the heterosexual transmission of sexually transmitted diseases (STD).

Their findings were stunning. Basically, it boils down to this: There is no evidence to indicate that condoms prevent the heterosexual transmission of most sexually transmitted diseases. None.

(You've really got to read this last story to find out what condoms REALLY do in terms of disease prevention.)

Today Pastor Ray was in the book of James speaking about people's tongues-passion-emotion & bridling them unto Christ.

How we are made in God's image & how God himself has these same full range of emotions. The book of Psalms is a great example of prayer & how passion & emotion is expressed in these heartfelt prayers.

But the best part for me was that our Pastor began the sermon with mentioning to the congregation that he believes in the full gifts of the Holy Spirit & as a Church it's important to use the gifts granted to us to us until the return of Christ.

Then he told everyone that he prays in tongues in his private prayer language but as the corporate church setting the main focus of this Church is on teaching the Word.

After, I asked D.H. if he was surprised Pastor Ray prays in tongues. His reply was "yes".

Jim G. "Indentity Christians" is a new one for me but now that you mention it-maybe I should look into it in case I meet one.

Last night I flipped to Hosea 2 & every time I read about this-I get so excited for the Jewish remnant who will be saved & see the glory, power, & provision of our Almighty God just like they had in the Biblical days. What a sight it will be!! I'll have to calm down my "emotions" since it's yet to come but it doesn't take much to rev me back up. (:

Hosea 2:14-16

"Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. And there I will giver her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. And there she shall answer as in the days of her youth, as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt."

"And it shall be, in that day," Says the LORD, "That you will call me 'My Husband,' And no longer call me 'My Master,'....

19) "I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy; I will betrhou you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the LORD.

21) "IT shall come to pass in that day That I will answer," says the LORD;....

....23) Then I will say say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' And they shall say, 'You are my God!"

3:4,5 "For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim. Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their King. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days."

(In my mind reading this made me reflect upon the War of Gog/Magog & God's supernatural protection, the days in which the Temple sacrifices are restored & when God leads the 144,000 out into the wilderness & protects them like in the days of Moses.)

Chuck Missler has a Hosea Commentary Book. Looks good but haven't read it.

Do you know when this Identity view began? I think we can tell that there is now a movement to demonize Christians who are labeled "Christian Zionists".

I wonder if this "Identity" version is a marriage or a compromise between replacement theology & the belief that God has not entirely abandoned the Jewish nation?

Is it watered down & muddied up Christian Zionism?

YES! YES! YES! I understand. I was so dissallusioned with it all a few months ago that I stopped going. I love the Lord and I love my fellow believers but I could not stomach what had become of church for me any more. The stage, the huge TV's, the entertainment of it all. And of course, that is not all bad but all of the pop psychology too and the sermons that pulled scripture out of the bible just to be used to back up the pastor's feel good message. All of that is what lead me to online searching for some people to communicate with or people who understand what I was going through. The Lord has lead me to several great sites on line and to this dear place too. Today I finally visited a church after many, many months of not. I almost did not go and believe that the enemy tried hard to prevent it due to all of the problems I had from my 4 kids this morning. I was scared to go even. But, the Lord greatly blessed me with this place today. The gospel was preached. It was not showy. No one was exhaulted above anyone else. We had communion and sang some songs and prayed. It was simple and beautiful and I was blessed by the people there.

So, anyway, yes, I completely understand what you meant and pray for you in this struggle. I also can't stand TV anymore either but love animal planet!

What part of the world are you in anyway???

Grany, I loved those words from Stan! Wow!

Folks, there is something that must be stiring in my DH. Yesterday I was at work and he left the house for a bit and left our oldest daughter in charge to watch the little ones. Well, the two girls got into and argument and Victoria locked herslef in her room and then Kailtyn BROKE DOWN THE DOOR!!! Steve disciplined them by making them clean the WHOLE house before I got home from work. LOL. Also no internet or TV for a while either. Then he had a talk with me and Kailyn (our oldest) about destructive behavior and lashing out in anger. He told us that he knows that he has set a bad example and that he plans on not drinking for a while. Well, that remains to be seen (he has said such things before and it does not last, no surprise there!) but at least he is acknowledging a problem. He is so drained and tired today though that he can't seem to get out of bed. Luckily, I did not work today and so had the kids and he did not have to worry about taking care of anything. I love him dearly and have been asking the Lord to have mercy on him while at the same time opening his eyes and sofenting his heart. I know that the Lord is working. Thank you again for all of the prayers dear ones!

Love in Christ,
Diana

AND I know this is not (necessarily) being directed to the wonderful males who comment here...but...and I am not one to normally generalize....your DH sounds similar to most males that I know... including my 4 brothers, my father, father in law, friends, friends husbands, etc.

No, not all males behave like this...but a lot of them do.

It does not make it ok...and it does not make it easier to deal with..and we still need to hold them up in prayer, etc.

Thuunda,

Sounds like the Church you attend morphed into the Church of Laodicea.(People's Opinions)

The Holy Spirit is no longer in this Church as He is outside the door knocking to get in.

The Holy Spirit is within you & probably others but it's not the Holy Spirit in charge of the message the preacher is giving. That's why it feels empty.

Just a thought.

Mac, you remarked about Dr. Fruchtenbaum having a great sale on some of his material. Well, 40% off is great and my daughter and son thought so too, so they blessed me with 2 of his ebooks and I love them. The sale ends on the March 31st. But I now can read his books on my computer by way of a fantastic PDF download and the ones that I downloaded are His ebook on Genesis and the one on the Messianic Epistles to the Jewish Believers. That last one includes Hebrews,James, 1 and 2 Peter and Jude.

The one I am reading now is on the epistles, Hebrews first and it is great. He starts out by speaking about the authorship which has been a debate subject for years. Then he gets in to the Kadesh Barnea decision that the Israelites made about the Promised Land. They made what Dr. Frucht referred to as an Irrevocable Decision and it really answers questions that I have had over the years of some of the statements.

I highly recommend both of them. The only thing I wish was possible would be to share the material with you all. But together the books were $30.00 and that is cheap.

Good night everyone and remember,"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."

I have a RSS link to CNET.com and this should be of interest to those who are keeping tabs on China. Now these guys are the ones who want to take over the control of the Internet and if this all pans out, it would sure be a sneaky way of achieving just that.

SNEAKY CHINA?

In case your computer is acting really silly or you have noticed it being a little unresponsive, you might want to check it out at Trend Micro "HouseCall" which is a free scan for malicious progrmas or Norton's free virus scum ware scan. I am not sure of the proper name from Norton but there is a free scan that they have set up for this Conflicker worm that is supposed to come alive on April Fools Day (Wednesday). But today is tomorrow in China now. That is almost as bad as Whose on First?: no Who's is on second and who is first. But you know the routine I am sure.

For what it is worth, I am doing a complete lockdown of our computers at 11:58 p.m. tonight and again tomorrow. I have been advised that the authors of this worm will execute new codes just before it launches.

Then again, it could just be an April Fools Day trick! I don't aim to take a chance.

Back to the races!

Nice to meet you!

I feel like I am being too critical or complaining too much about church as well. But there is alot out there to be critical of! After several months of not going to church and of praying about it I feel the Lord leading me to a church not too far away from where I live. I feel great relief in this and am quite excited about the opportunity to get to know some people and to hear the gospel preached. It may or may not take a little while for the Lord to show you what to do but be in much prayer about this. It is actually a good thing for you that His Spirit within you is offended and is stiring you to take a closer look at some of the apostasy around you. He will lead you to the right place but it will look and feel different than what you are used to!

Bless you today

Donna, Have not followed the Isaiah study but sounds like I should. It's good?

I'll give you all a low down of the Epicenter conference & see if something pertinent pops up. Our church is providing volunteers for different jobs @ the conference. One is to be available to pray w/for people in a particular area.
I'm not quite sure how that works out-if there is an alter call or what? I suppose w/Chuck Smith speaking maybe so. I always like to volunteer but I feel like I better stick w/D.H. (Can't let him escape!)

Diana,

I'm so happy that the Lord guided you out of the barren Church desert to find a new home. Sometimes we have to go through tough dry spells but our past experiences can always be available to assist others.

(Personally we are still in the middle of a major economic barren dry spell. This has been going on for years. Sometimes worse than others so I'm also under the feeling of waiting & trusting upon the Lord yet wondering if/when it will ever end. But Praise the Lord that Lorraine was accepted into the Christian school & we do have a Gospel teaching & Holy Spirit filled Church to go to.)

Thuunda,

I was thinking-Since I'm not familiar w/South Africa you know better than I what's in your area regards to Church but- Andrew Strom has spent quit a bit of time in South Africa & even my pastor might be connected to someone there who might know of a Gospel preaching Pastor.

Watching a teary eyed Glen Beck on Fox This video has me infuriated at these "scoffers in action."

Keep right on scoffing until the judgment of God lands right on your heads. This is such a classic video of publically mocking someone who has a burden for our Nation which has turned it's back on YHWH.

No wonder most people will not have any clue when the Lord returns. Their blindness has turned their hearts to stone.

All of our hearts should be broken for what is happening to our Nation & where it is heading.

Instead of crying out to God these people scoff at those who do.

Lisa, yes, that clip from MSNBC was disgusting. Just one more reason why I don't watch them.

Great Grany 5 said...

The comments this morning have really got to me because I feel such a destitution taking place in our nation and in the world. I had hoped I would not see the day that scripture told us about. The day when men and women would turn their backs on God, deny his presence and become the despised nations of the earth, ushering in the days of God's anger on a World Wide Scale.

But I have lived to not only see that day, but to be a part of the populace trying continually to hold fast to that So Great of a Salvation. Something that the enemy of our souls, all men and women, has turned the heat up to dislodge us from our fellowship and faith. Here is what I think has happened and until Sunday, 3/29/09, I couldn't tell you what it was. All of this came about as I was reading Dr. Frucht's ebook on the Messianic Epistles. Let you show you a little of what I have learned and when I read this, my heart stirred mightily in me like something I haven't experienced before in my Christian walk:

Page 8 of Jewish Epistles to Messianic Jews: "In God's dealings with his covenant nation, once a generation reaches a point of no return and makes an irrevocable decision, no amount of repentance can change the fact of coming physical judgment.
(Numbers 13-14 the example of Kadesh Barnea being an issue of an irrevocable decision). In fact, the passage states the people repented, and Numbers 14:20 states that God forgave their sin. This did not affect anyone's individual salvation, but they still had to pay the physical consequence of their irrevocable decision. The physical consequence was physical death outside the Promised Land. Thus, the Promised Land was withdrawn from the Exodus generation and was later reoffered to the Wilderness generation. (Joshua and Caleb and the offspring of the unbelievers.)

The consequence of their irrevocable decision did not mean they had to return to Egypt and become slaves again. They remained a physically redeemed people but it meant they would not progress to the Promised Land. They were under divine discipline and it resulted in their physical death outside the Land. The application to the readers of Hebrews is that they, too, are in danger of making an irrevocable decision. While it does not mean they are in danger of losing their salvation, it does mean they are in danger of failing to progress to spiritual maturity, which in turn will bring on divine physical discipline in this life and loss of rewards for the Messianic Kingdom."

Dr. Frucht then references Dr. Dwight Pentecost's in his writing "Kadesh Barnea in the Book of Hebrews." Found in Dr. Pentecost's Hebrews In Basic Theology Applied. Published by Wheaton, Victor Books, 1995 on page 130-131.

So, has this nation committed the irrevocable decision similar to the Hebrew Children did in the desert just before their 40 year sojourn in the Wilderness. What a sad thing to know that we have arrived at so great an opportunity to be a real light in this world of darkness and death, to become just some more rabble on the pile of rebellion. What a crying shame!

So, now what do we do? Cry and rent our garments and put ashes on our foreheads in mourning? NO! Get up off of your duffs and start praying like we were supposed to be doing all of these 100's of years. We had something precious and truly a God gift but we managed to neglect our "so great of a salvation" become more concerned with what the world thought of us and wanted, that we abandoned our Great Commission. We have spent more time loving the sin and running after the world than we have worshiping our Heavenly Father. Our mouths might speak praise and adoration but do our lives reflect that praise to all of the witnesses around us?

I am part of the generation that stayed home from the voting booths during the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's to pursue "Guiding Light", "As The World Turns", and all of the other soap operas. If we weren't pursuing those forms of day wasting then we were more involved in PTA (Parent Teacher Associations back then), football, and all of the other sports but especially TV anything. We soaked it up and became aware of the sit ins, riots, student uprisings, civil rights movement, and the removal of Prayer in the schools. We SAID NOTHING and our freedoms began to vanish. Now we have a Wanna Be King of the World in the WH and we are still keeping our Holy Lips sealed.

Has fear overtaken the Believers to the place that we are intimidated to speak out with the boldness that the believers in Acts 2 asked for? We speak up here and let the chips fall where they might and then if it gets a little heated, we back off into the cool place and keep still about it somemore.

I am ready for a Bridal Shower to take place falling down onto every piece of flesh and blood on earth. That if we won't praise the Lord, the rocks will. That Shower is Coming and we can't stop it because that is God's Irrevocable Promised Decision!

Hallelujah! GLORY, GLORY! Praise God! He better get here quick!

Neglect, along with distractions of all kinds, to the real purpose of our jounrey on planet earth, as believers. In the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Donna, Here's a good one:

Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will hep her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
11 The LORD almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

I hear what you are saying! We have been going to a nice church in our town for about 3 years. It only goes just below the surface of things. I am so frustrated with it but have been being patient. My husband is finally feeling restless with it all too.

There is never any mention of the things going on in the world, unless it is a little snippet about your pocketbook. I have really been asking the Lord if there is another place that we are to be. As Marge knows, the pickins are few in Washington state.

Lisa, yeah, I read that article already. It's both sad and annoying, because the majority of the article is based on the assumption that there really are "secret agreements" between the PA and the Vatican on dividing up Jerusalem. It's like almost all conspiracy theories: taking one grain of truth and using that as the cornerstone to build a skyscraper.

The Vatican HAS been negotiating with the PA, because almost all major Christian historical sites are located in areas controlled by the PA. The conspiracy theory is that these negotiations are a cover for secret negotiations with the Palestinians. The goal of the secret negotiations changes with who is telling the story: sometimes it's for the Vatican to get control of Temple Mount, sometimes it's for the Vatican to get control of Jerusalem (usually with the view towards "internationalizing" Jerusalem, and in one case the negotiations were for the Vatican to gain control over all of present-day Israel after the Palestinians reconquered it. (This is to minimize international objections, as proof that the Palestinians were truly concerned about the people living there, etc.)

In the last few years that I've been reading about this theory, I've read a lot of different commentaries about the contents of these secret negotiations, but I've never read a credible source that actually PRINTED the contents of the secret negotiations. (They can't be printed, because their secret, you see. Which begs the question, how can so many people make such extensive commentaries over documents that no one's read because they're secret?

The only two other grains of truth I could find in that article is that the Vatican and Israel have been negotiating over the taxes Israel is charging the Vatican (the rates in some instances are higher than what others pay due to how the Israeli government classifies properties held by the Vatican; the Vatican thinks they should be much lower because these properties bring in LOTS of tourist shekels) and that there was a plan in the UN at one time to internationalize Jerusalem. That, however, was before the end of the British Mandate, when there was still discussion on how to partition the land between the Israelis and the Palestinians. The UN plan included an internationalized Jerusalem, a plan the Vatican supported (as did almost all the other states in the UN, except the Arab states.) During the War for Independence in 1948-49, it looked like Israel was going to lose Jerusalem. The Israeli government proposed that the UN send troops to secure Jerusalem in order to implement the UN plan. The UN refused.

It's also true that Paul VI did not address any Israeli cabinet official by their government title during his visit to Israel. At the time, the Vatican did not recognize the existence of the State of Israel. Such legal recognition did not come until Jan 1, 1994, under John Paul II. If Paul VI had made any such mention of a government title, that would have been official acknowledgment of Israel's existence.

The conflict between the Vatican and Israel goes back to 1904, when Theodor Herzl met with Pope Pius X to ask the Vatican's support for Zionism. The Pope told him that "We cannot prevent the Jews going to Jerusalem, but we could never sanction it. The ground of Jerusalem, if it were not always sacred, has been sanctified by the life of Jesus Christ. As head of the Church, I cannot answer you otherwise. The Jews have not recognized our Lord; therefore we cannot recognize the Jewish people."

During the War of Independence, the Vatican was concerned on two accounts: First, while the Muslims weren't always friendly to the Christians, they usually made no attempts to block Christian access to the Holy Sites. Up until after the Six-Day War in 1967, there was no such promise of free access by the Israeli government. In addition, there was serious concern about how Arabs in the West Bank would be treated by the Israelis. Since there was at the time a significant population of Arab Christians in the region, the Vatican felt that was something they needed to be concerned about. All these issues are what kept diplomatic recognition from occurring until such a late date, and is what fuels suspicion in some Jewish quarters about the goals of the Vatican.

(Some random clips:) I wonder if this is foreshadow of America to come.

Demonstrators hoisted effigies of the "four horsemen of the apocalypse," representing war, climate chaos, financial crimes and homelessness.

Fearing they would be targeted by protesters, some bankers swapped their pinstripe suits for casual wear and others stayed home. Bolder financial workers leaned out their office windows Wednesday, taunting demonstrators and waving 10 pound notes at them.

One protester dressed as the Easter bunny managed to hop through the police cordon but was stopped before he could reach the Bank of England.

Thanks for the links Late Night Lisa. I'm still not 100% convinced that my church is going off the rocks so I will be attending it this Sunday again to see what is dished up. I have prayed many times before whether I should remain at this church and even asked God to show me clearly whether they are in error or not, but so far its been all "sometimes fair (at best probably - again I may be too critical) sometimes not so good" sermons and activities.

You see 1 April 2009 is the formal merger between the two churches and I hope things will now change for the better. I hope to know after Sunday.

Grace, your description is very similar to mine about the shallowness of my church. Never a word about Israel (maybe our pastors believe in replacement theology), nor of the end times (nada!), not going deeper into scripture etc. It seems to be always a shallow shallow message.

Nate: I'm not fond of date setting, but boy do I hope they are right. However, logically, experience shows that date setters, thus far, have always been wrong. But hey, I hope it's true lol.

Shalom, all! I admit, I'm oftentimes a little envious of some of you people and your ability to simply KNOW the chapter-and-verse citation from Scripture. As a Catholic, we're just not geared towards that. Which isn't to say that we don't know the Bible. In a 3-year cycle, you'll hear about 90% of the Bible read to you -- 99% if you go to church every day. As a result, Catholics know the stories, they just can't cite chapter-and-verse.

I'm bringing this up because I just read the best analogy I've ever heard of the difference between Protestants and Catholics when it comes to citing scripture:

... Catholics are kind of like men giving driving directions when it comes to knowing scripture. Instead of "go three miles to Main, turn left and proceed for a half mile to Long St., then turn left. . . " -- i.e., chapter and verse -- it's more like "drive 'til you see the McDonald's on the left, then go a half-block and turn left. After that, be ready to make another left real soon at the dry cleaners. . ." Because we hear scripture at least every Sunday in church, we tend to know the stories and how they tie together, without knowing chapter-and-verse. Even in studying scripture at home, I find myself less concerned with the citation of the verses than understanding and remembering the verses in context.

So let me ask you this: How do YOU tell someone how to get to your best-friend's house?

What's Down With Hell? is a sermon another blogger recommended as it's hard to find a good sermon on the place of Hades & Hell. (Two different places.)*It's REALLY good-only available this week @ Harvest Bible Chapel.

Romans 9:22 "What if God, wanting to show wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of His mercy, which He had prepared befhorehand for glory....

Luke 16:30 "And he (The Rich Man)said, 'No,father Abraham; but if one goes to them (his 5 brothers) from the dead, they will repent.' But he(Abraham) said to him,'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets,(meaning the Word of God) neither will they be persuaded through one rise from the dead.'"

Anonymous said...

Lisa,

Did you listen to the sermon re Hell that you linked for us?

The man who was giving that sermon thinks that all the souls of the believers are still in Hades/Sheoul awaiting the resurrection.

The Bible plainly teaches that since the Lord's resurrection that all spirit's of the believers goes straight to heaven to be with the LORD. Abraham's Bosum (Paradise) is empty. Hallelujah!

I'm sure you already know this, but I just want to caution everyone to be careful what you link for others to read. I really believe that there are some who are seeking the LORD reading these comments.

My best friend's House, by Grany5 is a little different than you would expect but here goes: I tell them to go to John 3:16 and after they have reached an intersection in their life and Romans 3:23 they should make a genuine right turn to the corner of John 14:16 and then turn right to Romans 5:12. If you get to 1 John 1:10 you have made the wrong turn and need to go back to Romans 3:23. That should take you to Luke 13:5. Make a full stop at Acts 17:30 until you see the light at Romans 10:9 and then proceed to "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)" You are noW at my Best Friends House and welcome to the sheep fold.

Jim C I am not so sure that Catholics know their Bibles that well.
My mother in law, who I love, attends mass most everyday and she basically has no idea what is in the Bible. She can tell you all about Mary sightings, the "saints", and knows the church laws, teachings and prayers....but she knows very little about what's in the Bible except for a few things here and there.

For example, she loves rainbows and recently brought up that when she sees them she feels it is a sign from my father in law who passed away that all is well.

I explained that rainbows came about after the Noah's flood, etc, ...she had never heard that before...which I thought was pretty shocking as it is so basic.

But she does believe in God...her big thing though is Mary, which definitely concerns me....but we have talked about that before and there is no need to go into that all again!

JIM CARROLL''

I goofed on your name but IM Carroll has a nice ring to it don't you think.

Now, to answer that question that you have to be rolling around in your dear head: Why do they always quote scripture? What for? Well, we get a bunch of people who want to know author, place and verbatim quotes. They all tend to doubt that the scriptures really say those things and so, we do respond with "it is written" and then tell them where it is written. That way they know we are not making it all up.

JIM G. I am happy you took up the suggestion of direct contact with Dr. Frucht. He is an amazing man and I love his teaching style. Not what someone thinks but what the scriptures really say. Now that is a fresh approach and one that I can really hook into.

I have a friend who reads here and never leaves footsteps along the way. She emails me and lets me know that she is still reading and sharing what she has learned from all of us. I love the mystery of it and she has started partaking of Dr. Frucht's works which has been a great blessing to her.

I believe with all of my heart that there are many, many thousands of people jst like her that truly want to know Abba, His Son, and The Holy Spirit on a first hand basis. The reasons they hold back are legion but the one thing they don't need is unkindness and a mean spirit. They have helped me so much to get free of the anger that can get in the middle of us all. One of our "seekers" related that she just wanted to know how to really love the Lord and how to grow when all they ever hear is the message of salvation.

Good questions! Salvation is so great and it is precious but we also need the meat of the scriptures in order to live out our lives in the authority of the believer in Jesus Christ.

Just wanted to share a little bit of some of the Great Cloud of Witness" that come to the cave for refreshing. I can't name them "lurkers" that sounds horrible. The Great Crowd are Seekers and they are our testimony living in all parts of the world.

Anonymous,

Yes, I did listen to the sermon & took notes even but didn't hear that part. I would have thought it would have jumped out @ me so maybe I better go over it again.

He concentrated primarily on the unrighteous & hell. I don't recall hearing anything concerning where the righteous go as I assumed it was heaven.

Luke 16:30 was mentioned but in the context that Abraham said if they don't believe in the Word of God then a miracle of the dead coming back to warn his unsaved brothers wouldn't persuade them to change their minds.

If it said the righteous still go to Abraham's bosom then it sneaked under my radar. (I better get a tune up.)

What I understood from it was that Hades is the "temporary" abode of the unrighteous until the final judgment & Hell is the "eternal" abode of the unrighteous after the final judgment. The lake of Fire is the same place as Hell where death and Hades are thrown into.

Grany, I love those directions to "my best friends house" I am going to write that one down! :)

If you all remember that I mentioned that my DH said that he was going to stop drinking (and I was doubtful but I did not voice this to him). Last evening I came home from church and when he said hello I new right away that he had ben drinking. I don't think that anyone else would notice like that but I am very in tune with this with him. He went to the store and bought a big thing of beer. We sat outside talking after the kids were in bed and I asked him aobut the drinking. He admitted that he is an alcholic. He said that he knows that he has a problem and why he drinks and that he knows he is a jerk when he drinks. He is extremely worried about the world situation right now. I said few words and only listened (this is from the Lord not myself) and I feel for him in this. He said that he knows that he needs to stop drinking all together. He thinks he needs more willpower but I know that he needs the Holy Spirit's power. So, I am praying that the Holy Spirit get ahold of him and works in him like only He can. The Lord has already answered my requests that He open DH eyes to his problems so I praise and thank Him for that! Thank you for praying about this situation friends and please continue. I am expecting a mighty work from our Lord in DH life!
Praying for the needs of all of the saints here today!
