Listening to David Hocking at Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills, CA. It was during the Prophecy Conference held in February.
As for David Wilkerson's warning. May I say this in defense of David. He has never claimed to be a prophet because that is a whole different office but the NT states that one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit is the Gift of Prophecy which is not the same thing. One is an office and one is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Ezekiel was a Prophet and Paul the Apostle was an Apostle that was gifted in many of the Ways of the Holy Spirit. Anyone, when given the Holy Spirit Anointing, can prophesy. Not everyone is a Prophet.
Difference just the same as a banker and a lawyer.

In fact, in Dr. Daniel G. Amen's new book; Magnificent Mind At Any Age, Dr. Amen mentions David Wilkerson, and the wonderful work he's done with Teen Challenge. (page 130)

I was telling 3 ladies in the Revelation Bible study class & the one who leads the class looked @ me quite strangely.

This theory "could" tie into Wilkerson's warning from Cutting Edge. Re: North Korea- I have not given that country much thought to end time unfolding of events.
SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- Japan said Friday that it could shoot down the satellite that North Korean officials said they plan to launch. 'Japan is legally able to shoot down the object to secure safety if it looks like it will fall on to Japan', Chief Cabinet Secretary Takeo Kawamura said during a news conference."
Japan is reacting in this manner because North Korea has shot test missiles right over Japanese territory. Of course, Japan took this missile projectile as a warning from North Korea that she would be a target in any military confrontation. Since North Korea possesses nuclear weapons, and Japan is said to not possess them, Japan feels very vulnerable.
"North Korea had informed an international organization that it plans to launch a satellite. Yonhap, South Korea's state-sponsored news agency, said the launch was slated for April 4 to 8. The announcement has triggered international consternation. U.S. and South Korean officials have long said the North is actually preparing to test-fire a long-range missile under the guise of a satellite launch. The missile, Taepodong-2, is thought to have an intended range of about 4,200 miles (6,700 kilometers), which -- if true -- could give it the capability of striking Alaska or Hawaii."

We believe that this scripted nuclear confrontation from the Korean Peninsula is likely the second war in the World War III which shall produce Antichrist. Shortly after Israel goes to war with her immediately Arab neighbors, the North Korean nuclear confrontation will unfold. People will suddenly realize that North Korea has 3-stage intercontinental ballistic missiles and will be terribly shocked because Western intelligence services will not have warned their citizens ahead of time. How will North Korea prove she has 3-stage missiles? She could possibly prove it by destroying an American city on the East Coast with a nuclear weapon.

I just took a second look at David Wilkerson's blog and the post is written by Gary Wilkerson (I think David's son). Therefore the quote "I am not a prophet. I am a local pastor. I must ask myself what I am to do in light of hearing the warning from God" is Gary's not David's. Neverthless, I know David has stated elsewhere that he is not a prophet.
What is up w/North Korea? What do

I'll get to that "Timeline for Alien Deception" tomorrow. I've been busy all day and have to get a video watched and returned by 9PM.
I'm afraid I had to roll my eyes at the "Giants in America" article. For one thing, it's "Pravda". In Russian, "Pravda" means "Truth"; in the Soviet era it meant "Official Truth". It's a bit like the British tabloids: some truth mixed up with breathless gossip and rumor, topped off with a healthy dose of bikini shots. Whatever truth exists is presented with a LOT of editorial comment included with the news. So it's interesting, but not something I'm adding to my list of bookmarks. (I should note here that I believe any action taken by the Smithsonian to suppress evidence of early man in the New World is not due to an anti-creationist bias, but by a desire not to reveal anything that might contradict Native American lore or interests.)
As for NK's statements: Those have me worried. They're using the joint US/SK military exercises to ratchet up the propaganda. Supreme Leader Kim is rumored to have had a stroke. He never officially designated his son as his sucessor. This could be part of some power grab by the next Supreme Leader Wanna-be. By ratcheting up the pressure, they set up a situation that lets them remove Kim: if it flashes over into a small shooting war -- sending some troops into SK, for example -- then Kim died defending the country. Otherwise, the pressure is what killed him.

Shalom, all. First, it was New York State with its bill to remove the statute of limitations on lawsuits involving sexual abuse of a minor. (Said bill specifically exempted police, firefighters, and school employees from being sued. For the record, in the period between 2000 and 2005, there were no more than 10 confirmed cases of clerical abuse. In 2008 alone, the New York educational system had 435 complaints!)
Next, there was the measure introduced into the Connecticut legislature that was intended to take control of Roman Catholic parishes and dioceses away from the priests and bishops. That one was hastily shelved when 4000 people showed up to protest it.
Now, I just got this posting:
In a fast track maneuver, legislation with the potential to threaten religious liberty narrowly advanced from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives State Government Committee with a 12 to 11 vote yesterday. The bill, known as HB 300, would add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act in an attempt to have them considered protected classes. The PHRA currently forbids discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations because of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, handicap or national origin.
Under the current statute, in some cases, religious organizations get an exemption to conduct their affairs on the basis of religious creed or gender when there is a “bona fide occupational qualification” to do so. HB 300 allows no exemptions.
The Pennsylvania Catholic Conference (PCC) opposes the legislation because of its potential threat to the religious liberty of organizations and individuals.
Robert J. O’Hara, Jr., Executive Director of the PCC said, “It is the position of the Catholic Church that every person should be treated with dignity and respect. Church teachings make a distinction, however, between someone having a homosexual orientation and homosexual behavior. House Bill 300, at the very least, blurs that distinction.”
“The effect of HB 300 is the potential exposure of a diocese or other Church ministry to litigation for acting in a manner consistent with Church teachings regarding homosexuality,” said O’Hara. “This bill constitutes an effort by the government to say to people that their moral code or their belief system must be abandoned – that those who disagree will be forced to conform or suffer monetary damages and legal processes if they do not, in their daily lives, embrace homosexuality.”
He pointed out some potential problems using schools as an example. The bill authorizes the development of a new curriculum in public schools dealing with sexual orientation and gender identity or expression. Although current state regulations permit parents to opt their children out of religiously objectionable instruction, regulations are easily subject to change. Opting-out itself could identify or brand a student as “homophobic.” Other states with similar measures have disallowed parents to opt out, resulting in a state mandate to teach students that their parents, who may object to the acceptance and promotion of homosexual conduct on religious grounds, are in effect “bigots.”
The proposal raises troubling religious liberty concerns for the Church as an employer and provider of key services that help the poor and vulnerable, and to all individuals whose religious beliefs do not condone homosexuality.

They weren't too willing, but I told them this was a movie about academic censorship, which considering the fields they were going in to, was something they needed to know about. I was watching Fox news last night with my DH and it was all about Anna Nicole, Brittany Spears, Hulk Hogan and his argument with an attorney, bla, bla, bla. It was horrible! This was even on the Van Streuter show late in the evning! It was actually very eery. My DH was wondering what the media was trying to hide from us last night. He thought that it might have something to do with China. I was praying for him again, by the way, and the Lord is telling me that he is very afraid. He knows the truth but does not want to face it so he drinks and he hides. I have been praying that the Lord would take away that spirit of fear and give him a sound mind instead.
I will have to take some more time to catch up on the rest of the posts now!

witnessed a very odd thing last night while finishing a meal at IHOP and want to know if anyone has any idea what might be going on at Pepsico.
so these 2 guys come in-wanting to make sure they are sitting in the no smoking section. The hostess explained to them rather politely (I'm guessing she smokes based on her response but I digress) that the state had passed a bill ending smoking in all public buildings (my asthma thanks them). They then proceeded to look at the menu.
when the waitress came up to them they apologized to her because they were going to leave because they serve Pepsi products (now I'm a coke product girl myself but seriously it's not THAT big a deal). Apparently they only go to food places that serve coke products because Pepsico gave lots of money to .......I think support something these 2 were against. not sure? does anyone know of Pepsico supporting something with large sums of money that would cause people to walk out of a restaurant for? they certainly had the courage of their convictions whether good or bad.

while I agree with the principle if one was to boycott every company that donated money to gay and lesbian causes you won't be buying many clothes, cars, books or just about anything else. most major corporations such as walmart, target, disney etc give money and support such groups. wnd awhile back posted on their site the top 100 corporations that support the gay agenda-let's just put it this way-we would have no stores in which to purchase food, no place to buy gas, no place to buy clothes at all never mind the icing on the cake stuff such as books and other entertainment.

ANNE, I downloaded D. Wilkerson's book "God's Plan to Protect His People In The Coming Depression" and it is good reading. The other one that he has listed is the one I was referring to about "America's Last Call" and one critic on the other blog missed it when he said that none of David's warning ever produced the truth. We were heavily invested at the time and DH wouldn't take the word of wisdom that David presented and we just about accomplished a complete washout. Happened so fast and it was the .com bubble that spewed all of the day traders out that time too.

PRAISE THE LORD. I'm almost envious of the pain you went through in light of how the Lord Blessed you so much. You are so right. God is soooo good.
This past Wednesday, as I landed in San Francisco and the jet was still taxiing, I turned turned on my cell phone and saw I had a message from my wife. She wanted me to call her as soon as I landed for some reason.
I called her immediately. She said she just wanted to know I landed safely but also wanted to tell me that her doctor's office had called and asked her to come in Friday for some additional mammogram pictures. (She had a mammogram just a day earlier.)
Needless to say, I was nervous. Especially in light of the fact that earlier in the week I had listed to a two-day series of Focus on the Family radio broadcasts regarding cancer!
I really wanted to be there for Angie. I know she didn't want me to worry and she was trying to put a brave face on. Of course, during my time in SF, I kept thinking and praying for Angie.
She called me Friday after the follow-up mammogram and reported that all is fine!!! Praise the Lord. There was a spec on the edge of one of the first pictures and they simply couldn't tell for certain if it was due to the fact that it was the very edge of the picture or if it was a lump. Turns out it was just a spec on the edge of the picture that dissappeared after taking additional pictures. I am so thankful to the Lord for answering my prayers regarding that.

I watched the first sermon.
I'm going to be so bold as to recommend that all here at least watch the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes of that sermon.
Well, I have to admit after reading that Todd Bentley has plans to arise from the ashes my response was to moan in anguish.

Then Rick Joyner has now written a reply which has many people stirred up in the comment section.
(Looks like a split in the Charismatic circles to me. One for Biblical Holiness & truth & the other a free-for-all.)

How to Try the Spirits
THESE ARE THE TIMES that try men's souls. The Spirit has spoken expressly that in the latter times some should depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Those days are upon us and we cannot escape them; we must triumph in the midst of them, for such is the will of God concerning us.
Strange as it may seem, the danger today is greater for the fervent Christian than for the lukewarm and the self-satisfied. The seeker after God's best things is eager to hear anyone who offers a way by which he can obtain them. He longs for some new experience, some elevated view of truth, some operation of the Spirit that will raise him above the dead level of religious mediocrity he sees all around him, and for this reason he is ready to give a sympathetic ear to the new and the wonderful in religion, particularly if it is presented by someone with an attractive personality and a reputation for superior godliness.
Though I would hardly call Bently "someone with an attractive personality and a reputation for superior godliness"!
ANNE, thank you for the link to Rick Joyner's response to Lee Grady. I read Lee's article a couple of days before and so agreed with what he had to say and I still do. Rick Joyner has always been on the outer fringes of the Charismatic movement and yet there are so many people who are attracted by the flim-flam man. Back in the late 1970's or early 80's I was given a new book that Rick had written and the person giving it to me was a very wonderful Christian lady. She was very fruitful in reaching the lost for the Kingdom of God and seemed to have both feet planted squarely on the ground. She got so entwined with the spectacular that she knew absolutely nothing about and it was off to the races for her. Then along came the gold dust and feathers. The thing I heard from her was her devotion to angelic beings and seeing them. I know my assigned angelic beings are with me all of the time but if I saw one I would probably faint. Cute and pretty they aren't. Mine has to be about 15 feet tall and works like crazy 24/7/365 days per year. I do often wonder what his name is but I am not asking!
As in all things, when kingdoms that are self made start to crumble, the king starts running to and fro trying to stop the crumble. Most generally he strikes out at those who would bring him to a stable and secure place, thinking they are the enemy. So it is with this word battle Rick has elected to start with Lee.
Good counsel is very valuable to every Born Again Believer, whether we are in a charismatic, pentecostal, full gospel, main line denomination or RCC church. To me, the whole episode needs to be dwelt with in private and steadfast atmosphere for the sake of God's Kingdom. All other kingdoms have to bend their knees and ask Abba for guidance.
It would have been so much simpler to have addressed the mess when it first began and I appreciate Dutch Sheets for his stand in this matter. One reason I am a member of the Full Gospel Church and not Charismatic. I believe in the whole Word of God and not just the multiple gifts of the Holy Spirit. If all you have in your worship and Christian life is the Holy Spirit gift then you are a shallow vessel that is just waiting to be deceived.
We all need to desire the fullness of God's provisions and that includes correction from Him. If we really want to do what Only God desires, learn to listen to the Holy Spirit.
You all know that but I had to remind you that God is God and there is no other. He also is NOT going to share His Glory with anyone either, except Jesus Christ. Look at all of the other Greats in the last 40 years and learn from their mistakes. History does repeat itself and we never learn from History.

did you all read the comments afterward on Joyner's response? wow-I think Joyner et al have underestimated the amount of dissatisfaction and discontent in that particular circle much the same way the one and his minions on both sides of the aisle are discontented with the way our country is going.
I would ask prayer for my particular church. it is a very conservative presby church and they apparently have been discussing, the elders and the session, what to do if the national group decides to go off the deep end on the gay ministers/agenda. they know what they want to do, which is leave, it is a question of being prepared-if they don't let us keep the property where we will we go etc.
I just saw on line yesterday that in addition to the arkansas or alabama presbytery (I don't remember which) the Kansas presbytery has voted in favor. these are states which should be conservative strongholds and apparently aren't. I think with these 2 bible belt areas voting yes the next national meeting is going to be quite nasty.

Amen! We need the full councel of God. And that includes the O.T. along with the N.T. Believe it or not, I've talked to several Charismatics who really and truly believed that the O.T. doesn't apply (any of it!) for today!
Also, I used to label myself a Charismatic...up until a year ago. I no longer consider myself one,..unless they believe the FULL Gospel of God. That may sound like a small issue, but it isn't in my
opinion. We all need a solid foundation in the Word of God. And I read no where in Scripture about gold dust, and feathers, and such.
We need to keep the main thing...the main thing.
I saw an advertisement for a Seattle Church this morning, on T.V. It said; "there are more dogs in Seattle than Christians." Wow! An unusual approach, granted. But reaching out to a lost world should be...the main thing. Amen.

LISA, Sorry about that mistake relating to Joyner's testy comment to Lee Grady. I do thank you for the link and I really wasn't aware that he had made such an arrogant public statement.
I do believe that correction, counseling and encouragement to get in a repentant position with God and those he has wronged is very important to Todd Bentley. I don't feel he is any different than anyother sinner but because he wore the tag of Evangelist, he owes a big and profound heart rending apology to the body of believers. The harm this man has done to the wonderful provisions of God is beyond our understanding. What a travesty he has been.
My father-in-law used to say "moderation in all things is honor" and I fully understand what he was meaning now. I used to view as being all pinched up and afraid to live. Not so anymore.
JIB, that move your church is making is a hard decision and I will be praying for all of you to chose wisely. Stand firm in the faith and God will always come through.

Jib, Shalom! Yes, I will keep your church in my prayers. I would also STRONGLY recommend you have your elders read Mark Mallett's latest blog entry ( Counting the Cost ) which touches on this very issue:
The Church is called to guard the truth, not its charitable status. To keep silent in order to maintain a full collection basket and a healthy parish or diocesan budget carries a cost — the cost of lost souls. To guard charitable status as though it were a virtue at such a cost, is truly an oxymoron. There is nothing charitable about hiding the truth, even the hardest truths, so as to avoid losing tax exempt status. What good is it to keep the lights on in the church if we lose the sheep in the pews, who are the Church, the Body of Christ?
In other words, what price are we willing to pay to stand for the truth?
My advice to your elders and your session is to lay a fleece before the Lord. Have them pray for guidance in this manner: IF G_D wishes them to keep the physical trappings of their church, pray that G_D will have the church corporation (the body that actually owns the property) transfer the property to them with no questions or problems, simply out of Christian love. IF G_D does not want them to keep the property, if the church corporation refuses unless a court orders it, then the elders and the session are to shake the dust of that place from their sandals and move on. G_D will provide a place for you to meet; and having shaken the dead leaves off your vine, it will be a MUCH more fruitful fellowship.

JIM CARROLL, are you sure you arent't Full Gospel? That is excellent advice and one that our church had to make about 24 years ago. We were part of the AOG movement when there was an episode that needed correcting but the governing body of the church refused. We went the route of the bible instruction to correct a fallen brother and it all turned sour because the fallen brother was very influential at the time in the church.
We decided to leave and not disturb the whole body of that church and thus began a long string of challenges and blessings that made us all very happy to be disjointed. After a while, the solid reason for leaving became very apparent to everyone and even though we were asked to return, our congregation has been blessed beyond measure where we are and we have already outgrown several buildings along the way. God is worshipped, adored and obeyed! What more can you ask for in a church?

By the way, it has been reported that a clerk in the US Supreme Court railroaded the petitions to have this eligibility issue heard prior to the oath of office and during the primaries. If they find out for sure who did this and also, who was the engineer behind it, and do nothing, this is one cause I am joining the fight for justice to be meted out to the person or persons. Politics as usual just got a kick in the buttutous.

He wrote that book "True & False Revival" which explained why Bentley’s was a false revival so I imagine he'll continue to keep a fairly close eye on him.
Today I saw the face of a truly hardened heart in a friend of ours.
Melanie the 4yr old had pulled out of my pocket one of my new booklets "101 Prophecies of the End Times" which I planned to give her anyway.
It was met w/defensive skepticism.
"Everyone has their own interpretation re: the end of the world."
"I don't agree w/those people who say you have to go to church 5 days a week." (Implying to be a saved Christian.)
"I've had a relationship with God my entire life."
She admitted that she doesn't know much about End Time beliefs (other that what she's overheard or seen on TV) but did admit something "different" seems to be brewing in the air & what concerns her is a WWIII.
She was going on about Sarah Palin & how she would have voted for Mc.Cain if she hadn't been his running mate-mainly because my friend believes in "her right to choose." (She didn't vote Obama either-someone else entirely.)
Needless to say she's more of the liberal minded women's rights type.
Someone who would classify themselves as "Christian" but w/o the fruits & heart of Christ.
Hubby, Chimed in w/Ezekiel 38/39,Joel Rosenburg, and how the nations are lining up as predicted in the Bible.
I felt more that I should listen to her than to speak & debate her views so she has the booklet & hopefully will at least give it some consideration.
All I kept thinking about is "What a hard heart" BUT "nothing is impossible w/God."
Then as we were getting onto the freeway-I felt in my spirit-Someday she's going to come to you.
Honestly my flesh thinks- Yeah sure, she’s hard, defensive & will just brush the whole thing off.
Then I think what is this:” She's going to come to you?” Is this my imagination & now I'm going a little Waco w/this spiritual stuff or is this really the "still quiet voice" speaking.
Am I battling something or what? I guess time will tell but if she ever did want to seek out the Lord in truth I'd be doing mental back flips. She was actually @ my house when I saw 911 happen on the TV in real time & I had called down to her in the horse arena to come up to the house & watch it.

don't give a hope. our pastor told a great story today about how even the smallest of circumstances or conversations can sprout into something large. the sermon was on having faith as a mustard seed.
a young man was out walking in a winter storm and it was absolutely frigid and he couldn't get warm. he saw a bright light in the distance and found much to his chagrin it was a church. he decided to go into the church just to get warm. there were a few people in the church but the snow was so bad the pastor couldn't get there and an elder preached from a passage in Isaiah ""Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth." and so the young man finally found God after much searching and many prayers on the part of his family. The sermon came at a time when the young man thought perhaps he was an atheist or would never find God. The young man's name-Charles Spurgeon.

I doubt they are overly concerned with the property. in general when churches have left they have been rather gracious and allowed the church to keep the buildings. I think they are more concerned about do they join a different Presbyterian denomination (such as the reformed Presbyterians) and what is involved in that (would they recognize the pastor's ordination etc), do they become some sort of independent church, what do they call themselves if they do and what kind of schism is this going to cause in the local church etc. we have been part of the confessing movement but the pastor says when he got here he was approached by some within the church wanting to pull out of that movement and welcome gays in the ministry etc.
I have also sort of been asked to teach a sunday school class. I am considering it.
a praise of miraculous healing. a family friend was diagnosed with a growing ulcer of the eye, a tear in the cornea and his eye was swollen and red. he was told he would need to be hospitalized and his head immobilized and various meds with a 3 weeks stay in the hospital. he was sent home because there was no room in the hospital for him. he lives in Canada and the hospital was 3 hours away. at the time our church was also praying for him he was being seen by the specialist in follow up and his eye was found to be completely healed and normal. in fact his vision is better than it has been in 6 months. he is overjoyed, gives all credit to God and says he sat in the exam chair, lifted his hands and just praised God.

I'd like to request prayers for a family across the street from us. They have 3 children. The mom was recently laid off from her job. I believe the dad was already out of work. They recently learned that he has cancer. Some kind of tumor in his neck that has spread into his muscles. They do know and love the Lord. No job. No insurance. 3 children. Please pray for healing, provision, and the Lord's peace in their lives during this trying time.

The "One for Lisa" link. Well, it sure wouldn't be any great suprise to me. Funny, when I was speaking w/our Business MGR about the end times scenarios to her before our move to TN & she did mention if I meant the 'Bilderberger' group as part of the "one world govt." plan.
**I had no idea what that was until you just linked it. Now I'll have to ask her what she knows about them. Hummmm.
I don't give much care or thought to what groups are running the NWO behind the scenes as it is all controlled/allowed by God anyway.
What I find interesting is how these groups operate in deception to sway public opinion & hide their ultimate agenda/goals until they think the timing is right.
Most of them are not even hiding it now. How many articles have we seen or Presidents refering to the NWO? And now One World currency-One World economic system?

we didn't send a picture into Glenn Beck's we surround them project for much the same reason as bumper stickers are probably a bad idea these days. but apparently it's not just bumper stickers they are also apparently monitoring sites in which the nwo are also discussed. this site would be one of the ones that they would target with that law. just saying.

intriguing articles this morning. if you noticed most of them show Russia stepping ties up with just about everyone and show the beginning of how Israel will stand alone.
I find it interesting to note that Saudi Arabia is telling Iran to stay out of Arab matters. Interesting to say the least. I think that sets things up for one of the coming wars. As A side note I don't know how many of you are Tom Clancy fans but he actually wrote a book about the old USSR needing oil with an economy in trouble and it's plans to invade lands to the south. one of the things that they did for misdirection for the west was to start a war with NATO. the big is called Red Storm Rising. It was not my favorite book at first but eventually after I read it a couple of times I liked it quite well. I'll bet if Jim C read it he could come up with a great updated scenario incorporating prophecy into it!

It isn't a club anymore than the Club of Rome is a club. This is a joint partnership and I believe the title was designed to throw conspiracy theorists off the scent.
I actually thought nothing of this when I originally saw the title, but I kept going back to the title over and over again.
Finally I clicked to read and was shocked... although nothing should shock me anymore.
The birthpangs are closer together now and they're not braxton-hicks. (lamaze jargon for false labor)
We must continue to work for the gospel until He comes.
I sure hope He comes for us quickly. Is that selfish of me?

Yes, I realize that they are profiling google & internet search sites, Facebook, & others. To what extent it's being done & for what nefarious purposes we don't know.
The only thing that blank bumpers would do is remove the possibility of being hassled by the "local" community trained spies.
I can't even believe I'm saying this. I guess putting BO in office has sent me over the edge. Mr. Community Organizer.
In America we just tend to think that we'll retain our freedoms forever. Just look at some of the other countries in the world like
Venezuela, Russia, Mexico (taken over by gangs), Africa, Europe (taken over because of a PC-socialist attitude), North Korea, China, and the list goes on.

yes I did. something else isn't it? when I was in my early teens is when I got hooked if you will pardon the pun on Bible prophecy courtesy of The Late Great Planet Earth. I used to fantasize for lack of a better word what living in the actual end times would be like-I can truthfully say I have always thought since that time that the rapture would happen within my lifetime. I will also say that the end times aren't anything like I thought they would be. they are in fact much scarier if you will than I thought they would be but I really can't muster up the wherewithal to be scared. I have a deep peace about all that is happening which could only have come from God. I don't think you are selfish at all-I do also have a small sense of joy at what is going on with a larger sense of mourning-so many people being deceived left and right and in the middle as to what is happening. I have to be honest that everytime I hear of some activist whether right or left passing away I wonder what they are thinking now that they have died and realized that the Bible is true. It isn't from a nanny nanny boo boo sense -ha we were right and you were wrong-but more a sense of curiousity and mourning for them. can you imagine their terror, pain and weeping and most of all their regret? I think some will be defiant but I can't help but think that many will not be defiant and will genuinely be regretful may be not. Perhaps I am being to charitable to my fellow man.

THE SECRET OF GOD’S PRESENCE
In Psalm 31, David introduces us to the phrase “the secret of thy presence.” He writes, “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues” (Psalm 31:19-20).
David is saying something very profound here: “All true strength comes from drawing near to the Lord. The measure of our strength is proportionate to our nearness to him!” Simply put, the closer we are to Jesus, the stronger we’re going to be. And all the strength we’re ever going to need will come only through our secret life of prayer. If we’ll just draw near to Christ, he will draw near to us, giving us a fresh supply of strength daily. This is the secret of his presence!
In the Old Testament, the presence of the Lord was associated with the ark. Israel believed that wherever the ark was, God’s presence was there. And so, wherever the people traveled, they took the ark along with them. We see an example of this faith concerning the Lord’s presence with the ark in 1 Samuel 4.
The devil greatly fears the Lord’s presence in our lives. He trembles at the very thought of a believer’s nearness to Christ. So, when his demonic hordes see you praying each day, in the presence of your heavenly Father, all hell cries out, “God is with this believer. This one has the divine presence. What can we do against such?”
This is why Satan will do everything in his power to rob you of the Lord’s presence in your life. It’s why he wants to bog down your soul in doubt and fear. He wants you drained of all strength! He’ll use anything he can, even “good” things, to keep you away from spending time alone with Jesus. He knows your time with Christ makes you victorious over the fears and anxieties of this age!
The Word of God tells us we can pray without ceasing. This is unspoken prayer, anywhere, any time. I have come to believe that my most important prayers are those quiet whispers of thanksgiving that I offer to him all through the day. This keeps me in the awareness of his presence." David Wilkerson

I had not seen this before today. I have not been spending as much time looking around the net. Billy Graham ministries is focusing on the Lords return for their theme this year. This would be quite new to me since I don't remember Franklin or Billy speaking much on the subject. I do have a book by Billy where he addresses the subject in general terms, nothing specific though.
There are some good videos at the site if anyone is interested. Sorry I can't blue link, but you can go to Billy Graham Ministries.org. It is interesting that Franklin believes in a pre-trib rapture however.

Radaractive Ezekiel 29 Prophecy This person found it did occur as a past event. Aparently this particular prophecy is used to argue that the Bible is not always true.

Back in 1975, Dave MacPherson (post-trib) sent Mrs Graham a copy of his book and she sent him back a very cordial and diplomatic letter. If you read it carefully, nowhere does she denounce the pre-trib rapture but posttribbers still managed to get lots of mileage out of it. Thanks for the blue link to Billy Graham ministries. The video on the top right, "Christ's eminent return" is a good one. There is also a series of videos of Franklin talking about the return of the Lord where he says his personal view is that the rapture will be before the trib. You can view the videos by following the link about "Christ is coming, are you ready" at the top of the page. There are 4 videos that are a part of a second coming TV special. It seems that maybe Franklin's view may be different than his fathers or mothers view?

GT, my impression is that Mrs Franklin was just being gracious to someone who sent her a book she had not asked for. MacPherson isn't shy about promoting his books. I'm pretty sure she did believe in a pretrib rapture - not that it matters.

So, I was at Barnes and Noble today, looking to buy the new Epicenter book and couldn't find it! I looked thoroughly (because I can get lost for hours in a bookstore) and could have asked for help. But, I was a little miffed. If it's that hard to find then maybe I'll just buy it elsewhere. So, tomorrow I'll head to the Christian bookstore which is where I should have gone to begin with.
Then, on the way home I happened to tune in to Hank Hannegraf, or whatever his name is, and heard him describe how he views...I guess end times prophecy and he said that Jesus is Jerusalem (in prophecy) and I forgot what else, but he was a bit condescending to those who don't believe that way. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood. >:-(

actually Mr Graham was raised in the Baptist tradition. urban legend has it that he went to Bob Jones in SC and was kicked out. Mrs Graham was a staunch Presbyterian until she passed. given that traditionally most Presbyterians believe in covenant theology which is a form of replacement theology I'm not sure that she would have. I have however discovered in reading Frucht's book that not all covenant theologians are amillennialists-while they don't so much believe in a rapture they do believe that Christ will come again and set up an earthly kingdom-but they are by far and away in the minority.
Well, the desolate 40 years probably already happened, but it is interesting that Egypt is the primary location for the ME peace brokering that is going on right now.
In Ez 29:6 it says "because you have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel."
"Staff of reed" is an idiom for "weak ally."

Three years later, after preaching to a crowded church near Hindu shrines to Vishnu and Siva, he suffered a stroke and died.

Actually anyone who believes in a literal kingdom of God on earth seems to be in a minority these days (I guess that would include all of us on this blog) even if they are covenent or dispensation or whatever (actually there are a few other views that mix the two).
I found it interesting that Franklin would express an opinion that a "gathering" to the Lord would come before judgement on earth and the setting up of God's kingdom. He said he believes this because God never judges the rightous with the unrightous (His words). So his main theme is to get "rightous" so you will not face judgement!

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.
In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0 , Hunting and Fishing 7.5 , and Racing 3.6.
I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0 , but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0 . Please help!

This is a very common problem that men complain about.
Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0 . It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.
You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support . I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.
The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE! because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.
Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance . Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0 , Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2 .
However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5 . Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 !
WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3 . This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system!

I just finished the 3rd of a 4 week study called "Messiah in the Jewish Holy Days" by (Messianic) Rabbi Barney Kasdan.
There is a Free DVD called The Living Stones which he presents to pastors but thought we would all like to watch it as well.
This Rabbi's heart is burdened for his people in Israel & that of all the Christians who travel there to see the Biblical sights - the support for the Messianic Jews living there is severly lacking.
He said there are approx 15,000 Messianic Jews in Israel but they feel isolated/alone.
The Shaz party which is close to Benjamin Netanyahu is Ultra Orthodox & persecutes the Messianic Jews in Israel. They're attempting to have them deported & allow them to be harrassed.
Rabbi Kasdan mentioned it's great people have a heart for the Jewish people & send money for various projects but feels more could be done through spreading the gospel & therefore impacting the eternal destiny of those without the eyes to see & know the Messiah.
He also mentioned this book:
"Understanding the Difficult Words of Jesus." It goes into detail of the Hebraic perspective of what Jesus said & the idioms of His day.

I was wondering if any of you wasted your time watching the NBC "kings" premiere?
Supposedly, it is a modern re-telling of the Saul/David story, but there is sure a lot in there that radically changes the tone presented in Scripture.
Saul appears far more evil in the series, and shows him making a breaking peace treaties on the advice of his military financier. Also, he has a woman and a child on the side, following today's understanding rather than legitimate polygamy in OT times. (in truth, there is no mention of Saul ever having more than one wife). The clips from the next episode suggest that David and Saul's daughter sleep together before marriage as well. Also, Saul, according to the Bible was a great man whose primary fault was doing it himself, instead of waiting for God, and then trying to protect as his own that which God gave him.
To me, it seems like someone took the basic plot line of the Biblical story and imposed modern greed, avarice and evil on those people, giving the impression that they were all like that. It seems to destroy any integrity that those men had, and it remains to be seen how they will dishonor David.
On the other hand, I just might be a cynic of all things serial.

My daughter has just completed her fourth novel, and is now seriously thinking of getting it published. She is just in the process of completely redoing her 1st as that one was written when she was 14.
I believe that these books very easily qualify for publication, but I am not sure which publishing house would be open to it.
All of the books tell the stories of very troubled teens coming from dysfunctional homes. The stories trace their lives from anger and lostness to finding peace and direction in Christ. They are not the "and they lived happily ever after" type of endings, but they very realistically show the way thru the valley. The books are "young people" honest, and therefore some of the linguistically conservative Christians might struggle with the manner of expressing emotions. In this latest book entitled "Going Home", it is hard not to cry thru the 1st 50 pages. All of the books are longer than 200 pp.
The normal path for submitting manuscripts seems to be as successful as winning a lottery, and it would be good to get these books to troubled teens.

Charisma Magazine also have a publishing company. (Strang) And they used to have a Short Story contest every year. (I dunno if they still do it, as I don't subscribe to their magazine anymore) But, if it were me? I would contact Strang Communications, and see what their advise would be, etc.

interesting article on the judgments of 9/11 and it is rather eerie isn't it.
While very powerful I do have a caution to make-the United States is not nor ever has been a new Israel. Yes we were founded on Christian principles and yes we are straying and yes I do expect that we will see major judgment because God does judge the nations. However to apply scripture clearly discussing Israel to the US smacks to me a little of replacement theology. I think we have a lot of hubris to claim that God looks on the US the same as he looks on Israel. At one time Europe was fully Christian, as was Russia. There were significant populations of Christians in Lebanon, Egypt and Syria. I do think our nation has been the fullest expression of a Christian nation however but that does not make us a chosen people the same as Israel is a chosen people.

while I do think the church as a whole will escape judgment I don't know that American Christians will escape judgment.
Keep in mind there were righteous Jews who were taken into captivity-Daniel and his friends come to mind. Moreover there is reason to believe that they were made eunuchs which would have disqualified them from ever worshiping at the temple in Jerusalem again because they were disfigured and not whole. The story of the Ethiopian eunuch therefore takes on new meaning in this context. Under the law the eunuch would not have been able to worship the One True God because he was not whole. However under Christ even those who were not whole were able to come to God and there was no longer discrimination against worshiping God even in a disfigured state.
Please pray for this precious little boy and his family. We used to attend the same church and had him in a Sunday School class. He is battling cancer and has only one lung that is working right now.
