Shalom, all. I'm finding myself becoming worried over what may transpire over the next 24-36 hours. Oct. 7 is the 7th anniversary of the beginning of the war in Afghanistan, and I worry that the terrorists will choose this day to wreak havoc. Particularly, I worry about a Beslan-style attack not one, but several American schools scattered around the country. I'll keep hoping and praying that I'm wrong.

Lisa, Shalom! RE: Mormon baptizing the dead, Yeah, that's why the Vatican ordered Catholic parishes to stop provinding baptism records to LDS researchers. It's why the LDS are so big into geneology -- by tracing their ancestors, they can find who they need to have retroactively baptized.

I don't know if you knew, but in Mormonism, while you may go to heaven, if you're good enough you can become a god of your own planet, too. That way you and your spouse can populate the planet with your own children, grandchildren etc. It's why Mormon wedding vows are for "time and eternity."

I had a couple of creepy things for today but can only remember one of them-drat.

interesting headline talking about how the markets around the world are rattled. I think the significance of this is that someone said recently the way the AC takes power is because of global finances

right now I remember

I didn't see this channel at home (and we have dish network, no cable where we live) but on my in laws tv here in ohio (they also have dish) there is an all BHO channel which runs most of the day. it is on like channel 73 or something like that.

anyone else think that's a little creepy and over the top?

combine that with the recent video of the militaristic youth chanting and marching to BHO's name and the person who organized small children to sing BHO's praises and other than feeling really sick to my stomach the hair stands up on the back of my neck a lot!

JIB,

Great articles and topics this morning.

Yes, we have the Obama channel (73) on our dish network and it is just sickening to watch my adult children buy into this lock stock and barrel. They watch it in their "living space" in the house because they know that we would not stand for it. I pray.

I am joining you in praying for Jerome Corsi.

You can almost see the one world government rolling toward us like a big boulder gathering the earth with it and getting bigger by the moment.

Jim C. I pray that you are wrong too. I remember reading some articles a few years ago that this was one style of terror attack that they may carry out. People are so worried about their financial situation that terrorist attacks are not in the forefront of their minds.

A U.S. warplane has been forced to land in Iran after it unintentionally violated Iranian airspace.

The semi-official Fars News Agency did not say when the incident happened or give a source for the report, which comes at a time of tension between Tehran and Washington over Iran's disputed nuclear programme.

The news agency said five senior U.S. military officials had been interrogated at an Iranian airport and released a day later after it became clear the plane had not entered Iranian airspace intentionally.

"After it became clear that they unintentionally entered Iran's air space and their destination was Afghanistan, they were allowed to leave Iran for Afghanistan," Fars said.

In Washington, the Pentagon said it was unaware of any U.S. warplanes being forced to land in Iran and that all U.S. aricraft in the Gulf region were accounted for.

In an initial report, Fars described the aircraft as a warplane. But later it simply called it a "Falcon", giving no further details.

Jib,

That's certainly interesting to think about right now as the post signs are all pointing to a one world govt. system of some sort.

If you think of it-before all this world economy meltdown it would have seem to taken a "rapture" to create the conditions for a combined govt.system.

For the Illuminiti it is their ultimate goal so behind the strings of the US they are persuing this. I suppose you could be skeptical and say these select people would not have enough influnce to make such a thing happen but so many of the top dogs are involved in this organization.

This video is interesting in the fact that the man giving the interview seems to be a Transhumanist. So although he is against the Illuminiti his reasons for doing so come from a completely different angle. Looking through the Biblical lens-it's quite an eye opener.

This is from the Extropy Institute:

Do you want to make the future immeasurably better than the past?

Do you want to live beyond the normal human limit?

Are you attracted to innovative, market-oriented solutions to social problems?

Do you want to upgrade your intellectual power?

Do you want to dispel the clouded thinking of the eco-doomsayers and pessimists?

Do you want to throw off ingrained barriers to effective thinking and action?

Do you want to continuously improve yourself - physically, intellectually, morally?

Do you think that technology can and should help us overcome biological, genetic, and neurological limits to our abilities and goals?

Technological and social change continue to accelerate, thrusting us into a future of unprecedented possibility and choice. Increasingly, gerontologists agree that aging will be partly or wholly controlled in the next few decades. Drastic extension of the human lifespan will be accompanied by the ability to radically increase human intelligence using advanced nootropics (smart drugs) and neurological augmentation with implanted miniaturized computers. Advances in genetic engineering, biochemistry, and nanotechnology (molecular machines) will enable us to heighten our senses, boost our strength, bolster our immune systems, and increase our resistance to injury and death.

Computing power and communication bandwidth continue to grow explosively, enabling the development of virtual reality, making accessible oceans of information, allowing the creation of electronic markets and distributed virtual communities. We can expect to see the evolution of truly intelligent artificial persons, and to overcome biological and neurological limits through human-machine symbiosis. These and other technology-driven revolutions, such as space habitation and nanofabrication, offer the potential both for progress and peril. Extropy Institute endeavors to prepare our human culture for the dawning of the posthuman era, in which today's beliefs, technological achievements, and culture will seem as primitive as those of the Middle Ages seem today.

This is a drug they would use:

Entheogen
An entheogen, in the strictest sense, is a psychoactive substance used in a religious or shamanic (or entheogenic) context. Entheogens generally come from plant sources which contain molecules closely related to endogenous neurochemicals. They occur in a wide variety of psychedelics of various religious rites and have been shown to directly provoke what users perceive as spiritual or mystical experiences (see Good Friday Experiment).

These chemicals are the essence of the entheogens and are banned, despite their use predating written language. Entheogens are molecules which induce alterations of consciousness identical in many ways to those documented for ritual ingestion of traditional shamanic inebriants. Examples are far reaching ancient sources predating the modern era: such as Greek: kykeon; African: Iboga; Vedic: Soma, Amrit. Entheogens have been safely utilized in a ritualized context for thousands of years.

Info on the Good Friday ExperimentOn Good Friday, 1962, before services commenced in Boston University's Marsh Chapel, Walter Pahnke administered small capsules to twenty Protestant divinity students. Thus began the most scientific experiment in the literature designed to investigate the potential of psychedelic drugs to facilitate mystical experience

And NO-I am not recommending doing this at all.*I think you open yourself up to demonic forces.

Lisa,

I thought you don't believe the Bible teaches OSAS. The author of the article you just linked wrote:

Moreover, I am convinced that a Christian who has been spiritually born again cannot be lost (Hebrews 10:10, 14).

Of course,it's OK to change your position if you see something in Scripture that leads you to do so.

Just wondering if you've had your eyes opened to something that I missed since we were both on the same side of this issue before.

(Kathy, I still haven't forgotten about Kristen's post related to this.)

I work full time, have a wife, a two year old boy, am quite involved at my church, and have plenty to keep me busy around the house. I'd like to post more here and at Kathy's blog but have been too busy. I try to drop in every day because I so appreciate hearing what you all have to say and the encouragement in Christ that you all offer.

By the way, I have also been sensing that this economic collapse really sets up the world for a one world government and for the AC to step in and "save" the world. I can easily see how things could get so bad that we end up with a new worldwide currency and that everyone will need to take some sort of mark in order to buy and sell.

I'm so glad He promised us that He will return for us and in the end, He will make a new Heaven and new Earth. Praise the Lord. Blessed be His Name.

hi all;
Here is a partial summary of a report I received in my e-mail. I have subscribed in the past to this website which documents worldwide disasters (EM-DAT). This is something I haven't seen reported in the news as far as I know. It probably is ignored by most news services because it lends credence to the idea that we are in the end times, something the world does not want to hear! It reinforces the idea of how close we are!
I morn for the people who are effected by these disasters but at the same time I rejoice for the return of the Lord! He has told us these things would happen as the time got close!

2008 First semester balance
The first semester of 2008 was one of the worst ever recorded in EM-DAT. Cyclone Nargis and the Sichuan earthquake, two historical events, resulted in the death of
over 225,000 people.
Cyclone Nargis, which hit Myanmar in May and claimed 138,366 lives, is the third deadliest cyclone
ever recorded in EM-DAT, while the Sichuan earthquake is the third deadliest disaster in recent Chinese history with 87,476 people killed.
From January to the end of June 2008, 101 natural disasters
were reported. They killed 229,043 people, affected more than 130 million others and caused over
34 billion $US of damages. Floods and storms were the two most reported types of disasters, accounting respectively for 40% and 33% of the disaster occurrence.
In terms of impacts, even if the figures are highly influenced
by the two aforementioned major events, it is worth to note the large number of people that have
been affected by floods (44 million), most of them in
China.

Hey there, I've got this "urging" that we need to get some caboo$h and extra food to keep on hand for emergencies for our families.

I cannot go into great detail. Just remember that where God guides, God provides. He's not warning us to be scared, but prepared.

I know I'm posting a bunch of quirky platitudinous cliches, wow! that was redundant! But I'm trying to delicately get a point across.

Pray, ask God what you need to do to protect and provide for your family and then trust Him.

Jim G,

My mom just told me yesterday that my stepdad's favorite verse to quote out of Romans was verse 30 of chapter 8. (He taught through the book of Romans dozens of times at a Bible School in Long Beach, CA.) "And whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." And then he would add, "And He never lost one of them." Since the calling of God is irrevocable...great new post Mr. Hyde...I would have to agree with him.

We will always have in this world until Jesus returns, those who say they are Christians, who act like Christians, but were never truly born again. Sadly, there are also those who are truly born again, yet they don't always act like they are God's children.

I'm so very glad too He's promised to return again and receive us unto Himself!

I'm watching for those signs!

Lori, I am agreeing with you big time! I keep getting this "take care of the little details" in my spirit and no matter how much I pray, I am still feeling this way. This has been going on for a long time, way back in the Joel days and then today as the market went into a spiral downward, I was suddenly very much at peace. I still am and normally I would be ready to get on my bike and ride off into the sunset. But the urge to splurge is gone and I am looking at "stuff" and knowing for the first time in a long time that it is just that. What a revelation this has been today.

God said he would go though it with us and that means we survive and he is the one who is making it possible. Someone asked me if I had sown into the kingdom of God adequately and to that question I can reply, all of my life since becoming a born again believer. I am of the firm conviction that whether we are rich, poor, man or woman, we are sowing into God's kingdom with everything we do, in addition to finances. My finances all belong to Him and He knows it. My time is his and he knows it. My heart is His and he knows it. My mind is stayed on him and there is none other than Yahweh! He is my Jehovah Jirah and he is able, more than able to sustain and keep me all of the days of my life. I will and shall dwell with him forever and when he calls me home, I am gone in a wink. I don't want anyone trying to bring me back because I have earned and cherished the idea of flying free and clear of all this worldly life.

I leave you with this Psalms.

Psalm 20
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
1 MAY THE Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high [and defend you];

2 Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and strengthen you from Zion;

3 Remember all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah [pause, and think of that]!

4 May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans.

5 We will [shout in] triumph at your salvation and victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.

7 Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God.

8 They are bowed down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright.

9 O Lord, give victory; let the King answer us when we call."

WE have an election to be praying about all this time and if the enemy can distract us with the financial mess, then we will lose focus (he thinks) on praying for our nation and God's voice to be heard in the selection process. Don't give place to the Devil and he will flee from you.

Take up your positions as soldiers in the Kings army and pray this prayer that Gov. Palin requested us to pray.

Psalm 27
[A Psalm] of David.
1 THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.
6 And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me!
8 You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].
9 Hide not Your face from me; turn not Your servant away in anger, You Who have been my help! Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!
10 Although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].
11 Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain and even path because of my enemies [those who lie in wait for me].
12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me; they breathe out cruelty and violence.
13 [What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living!
14 Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.

Shalom
Grany

gt,

I had a good inkling you'd catch that!

I felt the article explained both positions in a way that it makes Biblical sense.

The real problem I have with some OSAS proponents is that what their definition of being "saved" is. It's some type of believing, going to church, acting Christian or not, and everything is hunky dory.
I think the article explained that part well.

It all comes back to full submission to the Lord, being baptized w/the Holy Spirit & allowing the HS by listening, obeying & submitting to sanctify your spirit. Remaining "In Christ".
Becoming "born again”, doing the 360, a new creation in Christ.
It's through grace by faith in the Blood we are saved & justified but the proof of that is actually being converted. And although everyone can produce "fruits", the fruit of a born again person will be from the heart of Christ and not from the mind only.

It's really a process and not something one is typically "zapped" into. (Unless you’re the Apostle Paul perhaps.)

Now there are those passages which do state the Lord will finish the work of sanctification which He started but I still believe one is able to still quench/squash the Holy Spirit & arrive on dangerous spiritual ground.

You may agree the likely hood of that diminishes when born again Christians are mature in faith. That is why the apostles stressed pressing on, keep going, bathe in the Word so the Holy Spirit can touch your spirit, mature,etc...

If you’re fully grounded in the Word then all these deceptions & false teachers will not sway you from remaining in truth.

So although I still it's possible to fall away after being converted-I don't think it probable for a born again Christian mature in faith. There is such a dramatic change in the person's entire spiritual & mental make up it would be extremely hard to quench that drive when you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit most or all of the time.

For a "name only" Christian-it's easy to fall away because they never fully arrived in the 1st place. They try to do what is right & it's sad because most of them don't know the difference.

It just all boils down to a person's heart-and we know who reads those!

So that's where I'm at with it right now.

What Christians really need to do is take a heartfelt look and see if they are truly becoming
"another Creation" in Christ. (That is something I need to be able to explain well in order to be of help to others.)

If they are not then I really feel the answer is that it will happen when they get to the point of handing it all over to God. Literally die to themselves & repent. When a person does that I think YHWH comes in and sweeps them off their feet.

(Right now we're all persevering!)

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4

Kathy,

I still can't swallow the "pre-destined" deal. That some are "chosen" and others fate is hell no matter what.

Many are called but few answer. So I think He calls, knocks, and those who answer are chosen. But-the whole "out of time" existence is way to large for me to grasp. YHWH always knows who's heart will receive Him outside of time. He may offer more grace to someone we are praying for to be saved and give them an extra measure of conviction. Miracles do happen.

Many are called, but few are chosen

I've prayed about coming about some kind of answer to what it means but nothing came up. I did some study on the internet but nothing really struck me as "this is it!"

I know there are some books out on Zechariah but I have not read those.

It's been a couple months since I prayed about it and last night I asked again. Well this morning via "Moriel Ministries" newsletter came some answers.

And lo and behold- It's about the economic situation of the world in the last days which is not what I had anticipated. What about that for timing! I printed them out & studied them and they look like reasonable interpretations to me. **If anyone else has an interest in this vision-let me know what you think.

Greetings! I just posted this over at the End-Times thread over at Catholic Answers Forum, and I wanted to share it with you.

============================

Shalom, all! You know, two years ago, if you had told me I'd be involved in something like this end-times stuff, I would nave smirked and gone back to watching "Ghost Hunters" and "Dr. Who." Now I'm hearing things from people who tell me that I didn't hear it from them, and reading news sources that I would never have even heard of back then.

So, with more than a little drama, concealing my sources as best I can, I want to pass on to you some information that I just received. I will say the persons passing this on to me expressed different levels of panic in their communication; ALL expressed enough concern that I felt the need to communicate some of that information to you, along with my comments.

The first person told me to get all my money out of the bank. I have to disagree with that and go with what I heard from another person, which is to get your money out of any investment source that does not have some kind of federal insurance coverage. Bank crashes like we had back in 1929 won't affect people today like they did back then. Back then, when a bank crashed, you lost every single penny you had kept in the bank. It's why the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was created: If your money is in an FDIC-insured bank, you won't lose any of your money (up to $100,000; Congress may be raising that limit). There are equivalent insurance plans for Savings & Loans and for Credit Unions. For anything else, it's like playing Vegas: don't bet more than you can lose.

Although your deposits are insured, if your institution does a belly-roll, it will take some time for it to be reorganized and your money won't be available until then. This includes not being able to write checks or use the ATM. So make sure you have some cash money stashed around the house -- at least enough to cover one week's worth of food and gas and whatever other bills might be needed. Usually this comes out to a couple of hundred dollars. Make sure it's in varying denominations, i.e., not just $50s and $20s, but $10, $5, and $1 denominations. Make sure it's in a place that you can get to quickly, but not one where a bugler could quickly find. I'll leave that up to you.

If you can, buy up food for storage: flour, sugar, oil, salt, pasta, canned veg, etc. If you're going to store oil, make sure some of that oil is olive oil or some of the Omega-3 oils. Also, buy clothing, shoes, jackets, etc. that you know your family will need in the coming year or two.

The last two pieces of advice I'm saving for last because they are most important:

1. BE CHARITABLE! This financial crunch came because of greed. The only way to combat greed is through acts of kindness and mercy. When you're buying food for storage make sure you set aside a tenth to give to your local food pantry. The same with any extra clothing you may buy. DON'T just give them the cheap stuff. Give them stuff you would want to eat or wear. It's happened to more than one family I know that they wound up eating the food that they had donated just a month before. Not all of them were as happy to have to eat it and wished they had been more charitable. Remember the story of The Widow's Pence, dropping her own last two pennies into the poor box at the Temple. If you should make it through this coming financial crisis relatively unscathed, remember to continue with the acts of charity now that you're more able to afford it.

2. BE JOYFUL! Do not be afraid! Our country has landed in this mess because we have forgotten to trust G_D in all things we do. The surest way through the coming hard times is to have Faith In G_D, and to trust HIM in all things we do and all things that happen to us. It is NEVER too late to start working on your prayer life. In your prayers, ask for and strive to develop the Spirit-given charism of Discernment. Jesus said, "I know my sheep and mine know Me." The sheep recognize and will follow the voice of their herder. How confident are you that in times of trouble you will recognize Jesus's voice from all the other voices that will be calling you to "Follow me! Follow me!"? Love casts out all fear. If we have faith of the Love of G_D and let that Love inside us, all fear will be cast aside, and we will have no choice but to be joyful!

The love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you always.

GT, Shalom! After reading your message, I went to find EM-DAT. All I can say is, "Wow!" The link goes to their "Database" section, that has graphs showing the number of disasters by year, by dollar damage, by deaths, etc. One thing I found interesting was that while the number of disasters, both natural and man-made, are shooting up, the number of people dying from them is going down. Since the number of people affected are also shooting up, to me this implies that the number of injured is also going up, since people that normally would have died are being saved. Not quite sure what to make of it: injured people usually can't participate in rebuilding activities for some time after the disaster.

decided to search strong's to see what the word "stork" actually meant and it is somewhat different than what the man who wrote the article said it was

according to strong's the word used is חסידה which translates as a noun to mean any long legged WATER bird with a narrow bill native to the eastern hemisphere.

as an adjective it means follower, pious and kind. hebrew-english dictionary

in fact according to the strong's search I did on the blueletter bible site the stork is a "pious bird"
stork and the OSTRICH is the impious bird who neglects her young.

the marabou stork according to the national zoo fact sheet actually lives in colonies with other storks and is subsaharan in its habitat and lives in africa-does not live at least in this time in the ME so not sure one can take it to be the large wading bird in question although the fact that it is a huge carrion eater would seem to go with the context of the passage in question. however since both the male and female marabou appear to sit on the eggs until they are hatched not sure one could classify them as "uncaring" especially since when used as an adjective the same word has the opposite meaning. it would be interesting to know if there was any way possible for Zechariah to see one of these birds since they do not inhabit the ME today-ie did they have a "zoo" where he was or did the birds at that time inhabit the ME?

I think Grany said at one time that the birds referred to in EZ 38 who were to gorge themselves on the flesh of the troops destroyed were not currently native to Israel but perhaps had been at one time. after reading the fact sheet on the marabou stork they would be great candidates for those birds!

Jim, why not just put the blame for the financial mess where it belongs: ourselves. No one forced anyone to go out and spend money they didn't have, couldn't have and would never have. No, the pitch was made by hundreds of credit card offers received in the mail by people who should never have had them and, as in all things, the desire to have, outweighed the truth. We checked our common sense in at the gate and spent like there was no tomorrow. Now tomorrow is here and God's word is becoming loud and clear:
"owe no man" and also "do not covet the neighbors house". Then there is also the Stock Market where everyone thinks they can amass a fortune with just a little bit of money and no work. It didn't take a preacher, teacher or for that matter the town drunk to convince people all over the world that they could have that brass ring they were reaching for. Mostly though, it is a desire to have things that became the driving force in our current mess and that is tied into love of money.

So, though the prosperity teachers will be held accountable for their wrong doctrine, so will all of the other religious beliefs that pervert or distort the God given word. God's word is the only measure and man has always tried to out talk or add to the dot and tittle. Dangerous ground to be on my friend and I for one have no desire to get in the ditch on either side of the narrow road that leads to God and his will.

Jib-that's great info on the "stork". What a digger you are!

How about this one-"The Sacred Ibis is a species of wading bird of the ibis family,..which breeds in sub-Saharan Africa, SE Iraq and formerly in Egypt, where it was venerated and often mummified as a symbol of the god Thoth."

(They do love garbage dumps!)

Jib,

I just openend up another can of worms w/a Muslim connection. I read that the stork is also considered a type of water fowl and I found "The White Stork" which primarily lives in Poland but on their way to wintering sites White storks fly over Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Israel. *They do care for their young.
Stork in beliefs, culture and history

"In Arabic world popular is the conviction that storks incarnate the souls of dead Muslims, who did not managed to fulfill their duty of pilgrimage to Mekka. Thus they take this journey in the body of a bird. This is why Muslims feel great respect towards storks, and killing them is equal to killing a man"

I looked up the Ibis god Thoth. Quite interesting.Remember Aleister Crowley & 777? He pops up again w/Thoth. "Ancient knowledge" was brought to the Egyptions by this "god".

Grany, and all,
While it's true that the Prosperity Preachers will be held accountable to God for their hyper Prosperity/Faith message, I would have to also agree with J. Lee Grady (Editor of Charisma Magazine) that they (thru their wrong doctrine) lead many Christians into creating huge amounts of debt.
All in the name, of God's blessings. While it was, in fact, nothing but greed. Perhaps this will be a wake up call, for believers to return to sound doctrine once again. And that believers hit harshly by this financial crisis DON'T blame God. And realize it was wrong teaching from the pulpit. It's not a time to walk away from God, but run towards Him.

Marge, I agree with you and want to add something that just went flashing through me. Most mature Christians are not going to buy into this Buying God's blessings teaching to begin with. We are to be joyful givers because of our love of God but not to do so for gain. There is something wrong though when the Buy God's favor message is sent over the TV and radio and fall on the ears of the babes in Christ and also, the ones who are not born again. They expect God to move because they have given an amount of money to gain his favor. God is not a respecter of persons but that is what the prosperity message became. Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin never promoted the extreme that it has become but he based his beliefs on the promises that God's word spoke in Mark 11:22 through 26 and especially verses 23 and 24. In fact, Kenneth E. Hagin wrote an excellent book and it was directed to the Prosperity preachers of his day. It is entitled "The Midas Touch, A Balanced Approach to Biblical Prosperity" and if the various ministers had taken the time to read it they could have saved the church a lot of scorn. I have the book and it is very illuminating. Why the Faith movement has been tied into the Prosperity movement as all in one is beyond me except for the personalities involved.

I have loved giving to the church and to the ministries all of my Christian life. I only remember one time that I gave thinking it would bring me a big favor in the sight of God. The money I spent Or sent to that particular ministry never achieved anything except for the person it was sent to. Later as I assessed my reasons for giving, I felt the Lord telling me that He already knew my needs and his supply was always there for me. I blessed the ministry with the funds which they used to buy a new jet but they use it in taking the Gospel message throughout the world and nothing more. My reward is in the souls saved that were reached when that plane was used to transport the necessary materials and people. No, I didn't get the prize of the giving as I had imagined but I did get something much more valuable. The pleasure of giving it with absolute delight is still alive in me.

To everyone here, Our faith is what ties us to the salvation of Jesus Christ, without faith it is impossible to please God and without faith it is impossible to serve God. You have faith for salvation and yet no faith that God will provide you with the very things he promises in His Word? His word is his covenant relationship with us. His Word became Flesh (Jesus) and Jesus lived among us as an example of what that relationship means. He drew all of his strength from God and he depended on God with the assurance that God would and did provide all of his needs. We are to be like minded in all of our walk with Christ (which means the Anointed one and His anointing) so when we are surrounded by all manner of dire circumstances we can call out to God with the faith no bigger than a mustard seed and Jehovah Jirah will respond. You have to do so in faith though and that's not in our own selves but in the grace, mercy and love of God.

We are not to be boasters, arrogant, and proud but we are to be submitted in all of our ways to Abba. If we take credit for what God is and has done in our life we are trying to rob God of his rightful glory and honor.

So, we tend to think in terms of an easy way out but this just might not be the day of the Easy Out. Time will tell but our faith in God has to remain strong and focused on Who He Really Is! Not in what man can do.

Love you all and praying for each of you to become all that you can be in Christ.

However, I gave the book to a Pastor, that was teaching Properity at the time, for his Library.

A good Word! If anyone really took the time to study what Kenneth E. Hagin said, they'd find that he never taught any Hyper doctrine, of any kind. He stayed true to the Bible, in every way.

Take care and God bless all!

Grany,

Great news on the USA Alyiah. That just means one step closer to the return of our King!

We sing & pray- Come Lord Jesus Come. It looks like He's really coming!

We always want to go where the grass in greener. The $$$ is better in Israel so why not? I guess they balance that out w/the threats of the surrounding nations.

If they were moving solely w/religious motivation then most would already be gone by now.

The thought of being broke & Obama in office is enough to make anyone want to leave the country. When the ship goes down-swim ashore. The rest of us will have to go down w/it. Fortunately us Christians have a life preserver!

Hubby's been trying to refinance our CA home & the insurance company is playing games big time.
We have the top credit rating possible but they really don't want to approve the low interest rate loan. 1st house appraisal was done by a "watch list" appraiser and was OK. It was down but where you would expect it to be. They didn't "trust" it required another appraisal so a 2nd person was sent out & it came back $200,000 less. Which is really low for our house. Then since there was such a huge difference between the 1st & 2nd one they wanted a 3rd one. So it comes back $300,000 less than the 2nd appraisal so now they have the cost of our home so low they have justified themselves legally not to give us the loan.

These companies really deserve to go bankrupt for all of the garbage they've pulled.

Interesting article, Grany...I read a similar article yesterday on one of the Israeli websites except it noted that the increased persecution/suspicion of Jews as the financial markets melt will likely lead to increased aliyah. The article quoted a cabinet member or minister in the gov. as saying that the state needed to be prepared to welcome a whole new wave of immigrants in the coming months. I wonder what Jerry Golden has to say about it....it sure lines up with his mission to prepare for the influx (except that, of course, he's looking for it to happen during the trib.)

Blessings,

Kathy, I am only a part time blue girl. I get so frustrated that I cannot see the little things (tag symbols) all of the time but I am going to find a way, you can count on it.

When I woke up this morning I couldn't see my digital clock even with my glasses on and it about freaked me out. Then I remembered that Jesus came to give sight to the blind and hope to overcome the world. Well, I am not blind and I am filled with hope that this little glitz will be repaired soon, or sooner. In the meantime, I have a wonderful left eye and two hands, feet, and a heart that loves the Lord. I have never appreciated them quite so much as I do now.

I am enjoying a cup of Aveda's comforting tea and it smells so good and tastes wonderful. It has licorice root and peppermint. I added just a hint of honey and boy, it hits the spot.

WEll, today has been interesting and the world is still spinning and going on its merry way. Do any of you think God is about to turn the heat up just a tad? We all seem to know that it isn't going to be men who change the circumstances but what about the rest of the world. Do you think we should take out a big billboard and proclaim that all of this is because of rebellion and turning against God? Seems like a great idea to me.

One remark on this blog today almost brought on another flame war but instead I have asked the Holy Spirit to bring correction where it is due. For me if I am wrong and for anybody else who is try to teach (share) a false doctrine. Just want you to know, the remark was not overlooked just undertaken an entirely different approach to it.

Be thankful!

I would love to know what remark you are referring to, Grany.

Some of the remarks of the last day or so are so "out there" (for my tastes) that I've more or less "clickety clicked" them..and really don't want to try to figure out if its one of those or not. :)

Why not just get it out in open? There is nothing wrong with dialogue about things we don't agree on...it's important, I think.

So often it seems some of us are way too politically correct and we don't want to rock the boat.

Maybe that is the way to go...by turning the other cheek.

But perhaps we should be as Jesus was in the Temple when it was being used as a market place...He was not a happy camper and made no bones about it.

Ha Ha! I was thinking further about the storks and probably what is really important referred to the "wings". It says "women w/wings of storks".

It mentioned in the article that storks will not fly over the ocean because they "glide" on the updraft over the land. They would have to beat their large wings too fast over the turbulent air and it would wear them out. So instead they take the longer route and remain over land and can glide for hours w/o flapping their wings.

Has anyone started the book "Israelstine"? It's about Psalm 83. So far it's making the case that this dividing of Israel will happen. A war will break out & Israel will win and claim back land and take spoil & resources. They will become a very rich nation if not the wealthiest in the world & be safe w/o walls, etc.
before Ezekiel 38/39.

So basically what we see in the headlines now is the set up for Psalm 83 1st of all.

Great Grany 5 said...

Donna, no need to discuss it. I gave it to God and he is the one to take care of it. You see Donna, all I would do is harm the heart, soul and Spirit with my words and that isn't going to accomplish anything positive for the Kingdom of God. We all have the ability to be corrected by the Holy Spirit and he will do it without hurting a whole bunch of people in the process.

No, it is best to be left alone and pray. We should be in the process of living in harmony and peace with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Anger, fighting, striking out are all part of the adversaries domain and I prefer to live in the domain of the advocate. Can't live in both domains at the same time and I don't like visiting the dark places for any reason.

no one has posted yet for the day??

interesting.

i have yet to read the article on the stork but intend to do so.

two things which are on my heart
1-I read an interesting quote from John Stott's book on what Christ thinks of the church- a study on Revelation the first 3 chapters. it is written from an amillenialist/replacement theology stance so be forewarned BUT he did make the observation that there will be many baptized communicant Christians who will stand before Christ condemned to hell because they never made an actual salvation decision. interesting thought for a non Baptist to make. it has been my limited experience with some of the mainline denominations, the RCC etc that many of the members, irrespective of what their church actually might teach, think that church membership and doing good things is what gets one into heaven. both hubby and I noted this last sunday. we were at dad in laws presby church and the elder in charge of the finance committee got up and started talking and he obviously has no clue how to be saved and my husband's comment (he who grew up in the RCC) was that he's obviously never heard a sermon on grace before or at least didn't take it to heart.

2- Glenn Beck was most depressing last night. I unfortunately would have to agree with him that I think America is in it's death throes. He noted that not only did France call for a one world gov't as a way out of the global financial crisis that China has called for a global currency. At what point do we bow our heads and accept the chastisement we deserve as a nation? do we continue to pray that God will lift His hand of judgment from us or do we accept what appears to be the inevitable?

Grany
While Hagin may not have been this extreme in his teachings unfortunately those who have built on his teachings are that extreme and are a problem. God does indeed promise to take care of our needs if we abide in Him and if we ask, so if that is what Hagin taught Hagin is 100% correct. God does not however promise to make us wildly rich and give us our wants (ipod, large house, big cars, tv's etc) which is what today's current crop of teachers appear to espouse-I suspect to justify their own avarice and greed and wealthy lifestyle. I also suspect that Hagin's teachings might have been a little reactionary to the traditional teaching that money is evil when in fact money is not evil but the love of money certainly is. I do know that when I first started posting at Joel's , when I mentioned that I was thinking of buying stock in Zion Oil I was roundly chastised as loving money too much, wanting to get rich and that I should take that money and give it to the church as I was obviously storing up treasures here on earth as opposed to heaven. That has been the philosophy for so long of so many in the church that any other teaching that might come down the pike, that perhaps God does want to bless some financially more than others would seem to be outrageous and heresy to boot. unfortunately those less scrupulous took the message and twisted it for their own gain. in fact referring back to last sunday, this elder actually told the people if they didn't give more to the church that their immortal souls were in danger!

Good God's Morning everyone and sleep peacefully Mac and Mr. Hyde.

Marge, I looked in the mirror this morning when first getting up and scared myself. Need to go back to bed in a hurry!

JIB, I watched a little of Glenn last night too but he was much too dreary for my state of mind so I channel surfed and when nothing was on there to satisfy my needs, I popped on C span and listened/watched Treasury Secretary Paulson address the financial situation. He read from his notes but they were very extensive and hubby came in to join me. There are a lot of hurdles to clear in this mess but I believe that it can be done. There are all types of personalities and as you know, different ones will click into place for just such a time as this. But I still feel that we have to commit to this very simple little verse: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land." And when we reach that point where we will submit to God's word, then we will realize this about God's Word. Deuteronomy 32:47 "They are not just idle words for you—they are your life." “Hebrews 4:12 For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword…”
Because, as this psalm says God is God and there is none other like Him. “Ps. 90:2 Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” But we tend to have to wait until God asks us “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him… 1 Kings.

It is odd that the whole world is faltering on the brink of financial disaster and what bunch of Time Share salesmen set that into motion? Right now our attention has to be on Israel and has it occurred to any of the liberal media that the mess we are in is distracting us from the real battle taking place in the world?

Anyway, God is still on his throne and we are in his capable and loving hands.

Alesia,
**Thinking of you-I remember your jaw surgery is today.

Jib,
Those statements from your dad in laws presby church must have been unsettling. How sad. That's what turns some people away from faith because their intuition tells them that it's not correct and instead of researching or finding another Church they just quit altogether.

I just met one lady my friend Elle was touring with & the same type of thing steered her away.

She was with a denomination which was "considering" a vote on whether gay people should be allowed to preach. She was so appalled that they would even be "considering" this that she left her church. She's now reasoned with herself that nobody has it all right-all the churches are flawed-so as long as she's a good person & believes in God she's ok.

She knows enough that her conscience convicted her that this church was promoting false ideas. I doubt that she was ever taught enough or studied God's word enough to be grounded in His truths. Therefore instead of pursuing Him further @ this point she throws up her hands and walks away. She then told me how much she admired this Jehovah's Witness who stood on the street corner for years handing out tracts. This to her was "fruit" worth considering.

Then I meet another lady who attends my church who is from a family of Jehovah's witnesses. She's one of 7 children and her parents & all her siblings are JW's. She had an open vision that her mother would eventually come to Christ. This I thought was smart: She's allowing her mother to give her a JW bible study because if you attack the JW Society her parent's instantly protect the "Society" in defense.

So as her mother is giving her these "teachings" she is just going along & planting seeds of truth from the Scripture.

The JW denomination puts so much stress on the "society of truth" that their sheeple just believe everything presented w/o confirming it with Scripture. The main focus is the ability to defend their JW position from scripture (The society’s position) but not to confirm what they are being taught is actually God's truth from Scripture.

I think this is also true w/other denominations. They protect the "Corporate structure" at the cost of being led astray.

The security and familiarity with the Church is more important that really reaching up for a continual relationship w/the Lord and realizing the importance of knowing His word so you can detect false teachings.

I hope you all will please excuse my fumbling attempts at being a Blue Girl for Links. The link I want to share with all of you you is the one Thanks. It is very pretty and encouraging.

When I was up puttering around last night, I kept feeling the Lord was very near by. No matter what or where I could feel his presence. It was so very comforting and honestly, it was this way all day yesterday and I am praying it will be so today also. I know that we are admonished not to be swayed or moved by our feelings but really? Did Jesus cry crocodile tears over Lazarus or Jerusalem? His tears in the garden the last night before he was arrested were genuine and the sweat was the real thing too. We were made to be feelers in addition to believers. However, having said that I have to say further, that we are not to make decisions regarding God's word or his kingdom based on feelings because the heart is a deceitful thing and not to be trusted. We go by His Word and it is the final say. So if I want to raise a fuss about a trivial thing maybe I better check out God's word about division and strife.

Jeremiah 17:9 reads, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

Ecclesiastes 9:3b reads, "Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil, and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives..."

Proverbs 28:26 reads, "He who trusts in his own heart is a fool..."

Anyway, I have felt a peace that is beyond me and my abilities so it has to be the answer to prayers. Under normal circumstances (I know, what am I doing under the circumstances in the first place?) my cool would have been blown a long time ago and raw emotions would have kicked in big time. I give all of the glory and honor to God for this amazing feat. Even my children are completely amazed by it.

My answer is "I can't take it with me where I am going and when I go, I am not coming back to pick it up." Wood, straw, hay, paper, plastic, stubble kind of things. As soon as that all gets trashed, then we get onto "What do you believe and who do you believe in?" sort of testing.

Can we all give a shout for Jesus to come now? I am nearly ready and hurry to get it all completed before he calls.

Love you all,
Grany

You are right about Kenneth Hagin,--- and Oral Roberts. They were both given a Word from God for the Church.

Kenneth Hagin: God wants to prosper, (and heal) you. (also Kenneth Hagin was told to "go and teach my people faith.")

Much teaching at the time, was that to live a Godly life, you had to be almost broke. And not believe God for much of anything.

Oral Roberts: God is a good God! (and also wants to heal) you.

Many believers thought God was out to get them, whenever they said or did anything wrong.

Donna, I take it you don't appreciate the "stork" info but before you just label me as a "strange bird" let me explain how I view things.

First of all when researching something-especially a "vision" such as the one from Zachariah which could easily be labeled as "strange"- it helps to take a word of significance and break it down as far as I can.

And when I look back and this word "stork" it comes up with many interesting possible references & along with that also an entire line of satan's workings.

I've always prayed for discernment in scriptures & truth. John Boatman chided me once for praying for discernment & I couldn't figure that one out. Eventually I ran across what spiritual discernment was in the OT & it was when a person was given a gift to "actually see" into the spiritual realm. You can see the angels & demons around you in the physical world. Well I have never wanted to see that what-so-ever. So God knowing all things thank goodness did not grant me that particular gift. (THAT would freak me out.)

But what I am interested in and do tend to see quite easily is how Satan has worked in the past and how he has continued his plans throughout history and into our present time. At the same time I'm also very concerned w/realizing the fundamental Godly truths in scripture & applying those to my life as well. That being the most important.

So the "stork" trickles down. God created this beautiful bird. I find the Ibis which the Egyptians ended up adopting as a "god". We already know the Egyptians most likely received their advanced knowledge from the dark side. Either by Nephalium or channeling or what have you. When you read of their god Thoth-you know it's completely Satanic and Satan himself or one of his minions desiring the worship of man. Thoth is a copy-cat of our real God.

Then throughout the ages the same "Ibis" pops up again w/the Muslims.(which we also know is driven by Satan)It's curved beak represents the crescent moon,etc..
(same sprit behind the Egyptians & the Muslims) After 911 many Christians have been exposing Islam for what it really is.

So then in the encyclopedia I find that a Satanist himself open directly to the dark side makes a book of Thoth & cards. Not surprising I guess. He still desires to be worshipped.(Ibis-Thoth= Egyptians ,Muslims, & a Satanist)

Now we still have Thoth played out @ Mardi Gras celebrations every year & people continue to parade in his name.(Ibis=Thour=Eyptions=Muslim=Satanist=Mardi Gras)

(& the Babylonian Mardi Gras: Babylonian=Masonic= Secrete Societies=same spirit.

***My friend Elle was involved in the Masons and after a little info shared with him-he certainly sees this group in another light. He was somewhat shocked.** If I had not known the info-I could not have shared it. There is a poster up at our Christian school w/the Shriner’s putting on a Children’s play. (They are low level but I still would not allow my Children to go @ this point.)

*And I'm sure this Thoth/Ibis can be found in many more places than just these examples.

Even after New Orleans was severely damaged-these people still continue in their debauched lifestyle and hedonistic parade. Meanwhile it is socially acceptable in New Orleans and cheerleaders & kids march right along with them. (most if not all having no clue what their supporting)

So looking back at this I see the same spirit rearing it's ugly head throughout the ages desiring to be worshipped.

New Orleans also confirms what God says in His word about people not repenting and blaspheming the God of heaven in Revelation when judgments rain down upon them.

At the end of the Millennial Reign of Christ-Satan is allowed back out again one last time and people still rebel even under the ideal circumstances w/Christ in their midst.

So whether this adds anything to the stork in Zachariah’s vision (although the Muslim connection may because the stork women place the basket in the land of Shinar.)
it is interesting to see how an eternal spirit keeps his presence known.

I don't know why this would bother Christians studying prophesy unless it's viewed it a different light.

As for the Tran humanistic posts. We have a very humanistic thread weaved in the society we live & witness in. We have to deal with it one way or another. There are two things I found interesting along that line.

One is the "trans" humanists are an offshoot and more involved in "technological advances." They want to marry the human state of being w/the technological in order to gain "higher powers." So this philosophy would really jump right into accepting an implanted micro-chip. **They already stated they want a chip implanted in their brains.

This is hard to believe but so is much of what we are dealing with in our day.

The other was that Tran humanist interviewer was "on to" the Illuminati which the evil one is behind. Actually he's behind both.
So I wonder if the Illuminati will someday be exposed for who they are & the Tran humanist view point will come in to save the day.

That's all speculation but I found it interesting because I have not heard of them before. The younger video-game generation may be just the target for such a concept.

We know the spirit of the Anti-Christ is already here and probably not too far off in the future he will rear the ugly head we've been watching for.(Hopefully we won't he here to see it!)

Anyway, thought I should explain why & how I find these things interesting. There is no deep seated fascination about the dark side I'm involved in. I look at it in the way of spiritual discernment but personally stay clear of any such things.

Marge what do you think about these quotes?

We are the creators not only of our own destiny but also of the Universe … We are all connected, and we are all One(p. 175).

No matter who you thought you were, now you know the Truth of Who You Really Are. You are the master of the Universe. You are the heir to the kingdom. You are the perfection of Life( p. 183).

You are God in a physical body … You are all power … You are all intelligence … You are the creator( p. 164).

These quotes are all taken from the book "The Secret" in which I saw Oral Roberts endorsing a DVD sequel to that book called The Source of the Secret You'll actually see him on this video.

I don't want to stir things up but sometimes the good things done in the past don't always hold to the future. Oprah is a big fan of "the Secret" if that gives you any indication of it's spiritual validity.

We are living in the age of deception.

Report on Alesia:

I've just rung the hospital and actually spoke with Alesia. She is in understandable pain but otherwise fine. The op went very smoothly and all the docs are very happy with it. It only took 4 hours and 15 mins - not the 7 they had expected because of some possible complications they were anticipating.

Praise God!

Thank you all for your prayers. Thanks for your support, JIB.

This was posted at the Omega Letter today. I can't verify its authenticity:

The other day I went downtown to run a few errands. I went into the local coffee shop for a snack. I was only there for about 5 minutes. When I came out, there was this cop writing out a parking ticket.

I said to him, 'Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break?'

He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. His insensitivity annoyed me, so I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and then wrote out another ticket for having worn tires. So I proceeded to call him 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket when I called him a moron in blue.

This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I talked back to him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't really care. I came downtown on the bus. The car that he was putting the tickets on had one of those bumper stickers that said, 'Obama '08'. I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. The doctor tells me that it's important to my health.

yes I realize if we humble ourselves and pray but as Lisa has so noted the spirit of the AC is alive and well in this day and age and one wonders how many righteous people will suffice to turn away the wrath of God. I keep being reminded over and over of Abraham, God and Sodom and Gomorrah and wonder do we at this time have enough righteous? personally I'm not sure that we do. further although Glenn was quite black last night in his mood-people are just now getting to where he was about 18-24 months ago and they were calling him crazy then. they still are but what if he's actually right?

Mac
re the whole Russian Muslim thing-I think Joel noted in Epicenter that the close ties and large Muslim population was one of the reasons he saw them fighting along side other Muslim nations to get rid of Israel.

regarding PS 83 first, last or otherwise. consider this-the only country I haven't seen mentioned in the whole financial mess situation is Israel. perhaps Israel fulfills the hugely wealthy nation because God continues to bless her and with the global economies going downhill but fast who's to say that Israel's wealth might not be relative to other countries losses vs being more wealthy. one of the links posted earlier to prophecy today came to much the same conclusion that I did regarding Syria and their nuke program-it may not be Iran Israel nukes this winter but Syria. so given global catastrophic losses from the economy and an attack on one of it's allies I think Gog and Magog could occur quite rapidly

Have you ever heard of Angel Food Ministries? We just discovered this. It's a low cost way to buy meat and vegis. It's a once a month pick up, so plan carefully. We did it last month and are amazed at the meat that we purchased. All the fruits and vegis are domestic. We bought a ton of food for only $87. You call the church and order the food. They take debit/credit/checks/cash and food stamps. This is a wonderful program that does not require qualification. It's great to have the help with finances being affected.

There might be a distribution site near you...

To see the October menu go to: Angel Food Ministries This month we are ordering 1 regular box, 3 #1's and 2 #5's, we don't qualify for the Senior meals...

Our cut off date of October 13 and pick up date is October 25th. If you order, just ask what date to pick up. The church locally that we pick up from does it drive thru so we don't need to get out of the car at all.

Let me say the meat is amazing. It's wrapped in freezer plastic.

We've told a lot of struggling families about this ministry. It works!

I just got a phone call from my sister. My nephew, Jesse, half-brother to Eric who just passed away, was canvassing a neighborhood with tracts around 8pm, when he was attacked by a pitbull.

He saw the dog thru a screen dog and decided to turn around and leave the porch. The dog lunged thru the screen and grabbed him between his legs from behind.

When he rolled over on his back he tried to block his face, the dog began to take chunks out of his arms.

This is clearly an attack by the enemy. Jesse is in a hospital in Missouri. Please pray for his comfort, his healing and for wisdom for the doctors.

I'm thanking the LORD for your sucessful surgery Alesia! Also praying for Eric.......Gods grace is amazing: on memorial day my 16 year old grandson was involved in an accident. My daughter sent out the following e-mail-

Dear Friends and Family,

I am writing this to ask for your many prayers for our dear son Daniel.
Yesterday while driving home from a friends house Daniel accidentally
side swiped a man and woman on a motorcycle. The woman has been
treated and released, the man is in critical condition at Good Samaritan, he
was not wearing a helmet. We are all in some shock, and do not know
how this will unfold. I ask that you keep all of us in your prayers,
especially Daniel. That he can feel God's healing power, and love from
above. I ask that you pray for this man, that he will not only survive,
but resume a normal healthy life. And worst case if he should die,
that he already has accepted Christ as his savior. We are all going
through a lot of emotions right now, so please pray. Uplift our family and
this man before the Lord. And that His plan may unfold and he be
glorified. I will do my best to keep everyone updated. And my email is
always a good way to contact me.

Thank you for your love and support.

Two months later I sent this e-mail:

AMAZING GRACE

Monday morning, July 21, while at Mayo with Barb, Dale called. Amy Joy had just called him with an account of what had occurred over the weekend regarding Daniels accident:

John and Mary had all the Cooks over for a picnic. During the picnic they noticed their neighbor to the east leaning over the fence. John and John Matthew walked over to say hello. The neighbor, also named John, said he thought they may have been wondering why they hadn’t seen him for the last five weeks. He began to relate why he hadn’t been around- He and his wife had gone out on his motorcycle for ice cream and had been hit by a car. He had skidded 50ft. across the pavement (he wasn’t wearing a helmet) and had torn his head open. His wife was also thrown from the motorcycle (she was wearing a helmet) and had multiple fractures. He was taken by helicopter to Good Sam. She was released from a local hospital after treatment. John Cook asked if he was planning on suing and the neighbor said no. John C. asked again, and was again told no they weren’t going to sue, in fact they were concerned about the young man who had hit them. John and John Matthew returned to their picnic and told Mary what had happened with the neighbor. They all were thinking that their neighbors’ accident sounded eerily like the accident Daniel had on Memorial Day.

After the picnic was over John and Mary walked over to the neighbors to talk to him some more.(Mary said later that they both looked really good, happy, content……..) The neighbor said that he had no memory of the accident and knew only what others had told him. – That a helicopter had come and said that he was dead. Then a second helicopter came and found a pulse in his leg. (Amy Joy said there was only one helicopter) He was airlifted to Good Sam, and his priest was called to administer last rites. He was in a coma for 5 days and then in an induced coma for several weeks. When he had recovered enough he was brought to Marian Joy for rehab and therapy. He said that somebody must have been praying for him. John told him he had no idea how many prayers had gone up for him. He and his -2nd- wife have 6 grown children between them. Their children told him of all the experiences they had when they were teenagers. He again expressed his concern about the ‘young man’. He said while he was in the hospital his children had taken over running his business, and the business had made more money during that time than ever before. He also said that the accident had made them realize their priorities in life. He called his priest and told him he had to take back the last rites, that he was alive and well.

At some point during the conversation John and Mary asked what day he had the accident. Memorial Day. John and Mary told him that the ‘young man’ was their nieces’ son. The neighbor expressed his admiration for the ‘young man’, saying most teenagers would have would have run or stood helplessly by, whereas this ‘young man’ had thought clearly and done what he could to help. ( Daniel had run toward the man and seeing he was choking and drowning in his own blood, had turned him so that he could breathe and held him until help arrived) The neighbor also said he wanted to meet Daniel. Amy Joy is prayerfully considering what would be best for Daniel.

and that was just the beginning of an amazing summer!

Jamie,

What an amazing and beautiful testimony of God's grace and forgiveness.

I love that the family isn't going to sue. We live in such a litigious society.

Thanks for sharing that with us. It's very encouraging and I'l share it with our family.

Please let me tell you something about my nephew Jesse, the one attacked by the devil/dog yesterday. Jesse is 25 years old.

Jesse is a miracle to begin with. His oxygen was cut off during delivery. As he grew, it was apparent that there was something terribly wrong with his arms. It was determined that it was probably due to oxygen deprevation at birth. Whatever he did with one hand the other "mirrored" it. This became so frustrating for him as he had difficulty doing sports with his friends. So my husband and I taught him how to swim. "Both hands doing the same thing, worked in swimming."

He grew up into a fine young man. At Bible college he broke down one day because of the frustration of his hands. Someone there shared with him the promises of God's word on healing. He told God that if that was true, he wanted it. God healed Jesse's arms.

Jesse has devoted every waking moment of his days to serving God. He does street ministry and serves in a church. He also has partnered with an older gentleman on a new revolutionary type of Bible that is supposed to make it easy for anyone to memorize God's word. The person who he has partnered with has such strict attention to detail which has driven Jesse crazy at times. LOL That's good, there should never be haste in getting translation perfect.

I know God is using Jesse. I appreciate all of you praying for him and his recovery.

Jamie,

What an amazing testimony! And that God would orchestrate all of that converstion for Daniel's comfort too!

Lori,

I cannot help agree that it was an attack from the enemy. I find it interesting that the dog attacked Jesse's arms, the very thing that God has healed. I will so be praying for him!

He was passing out tracks. Oh, that we would all have the zeal to do that.

My prayer today is that I would be doing, that we would all be doing what God wants us to in these days. There is no more time for fear of man, hesitation to share the Gospel when God prompts us to, and we need to make the main thing the main thing as they say.

Jamie,

Sounds like all those involved in this ordeal can become great friends!

Jib,

I'm reading on in "Israelstine" & although it does look ripe for Ezekiel 38/39 I agree w/the Russia & Iran situation-I can't help to consider this Psalm 83 being the
1st set of events.

One thing Psalm 83 does cure is "Damascus a runious heap". The countries listed in Psalm 83 are the counties surrounding Israel which are ommitted from Ezekiel 38/39. That makes a very strong case to me. He thinks this prophesy is the "Missing Puzzle Peace."

"The Bible tells of a time in the world's future when Israel ammases an "exceedingly great army." This army developes out of the need for national defense to protect against the continued advance of Arab agression. At some point, this finely tuned military instrument unleases deadly force to acheive a decisive victory. Because of this Israeli conquest over the inner circle of the core surrounding Arab populations of Palestinians, Syrians, Saudi Arabians, Egyptions, Lebanese, and Jordanians, Israel's borders are enlarged, prosperity increases, and national stature is enhansed."

"Israel as a nation experiences a condition of regional superiority, which enables it to dwell securely in an otherwise insecure neighborhood. The Jews still dispersed throughout the world at that time will flow back into the safe haven of Israel. With this influx of Jewish population, the Jews will exploit the resources of the conqured Arab territories & the people will be set to experience the "restoration of their fortunes." At that time Israel will become one of the wealthiest nations in the world, perhaps the wealthiest of them all."

"The primary purpose of this prophetic period is casting judgment upon the animosity established in ancient times toward the promises God made to Abraham. Long ago, Hagar, Ishmael, Esau, Moab, and Ammon formed adversarial attitudes toward God and His covenantal promises. Throughout the years that followed, their descendants perpetuated this hatred & propelled this disposition across the region. ....In time, this "ancient hatred" became cleverly enveloped into a religion, known as Islam."

I think you and I both agree that "Islam" as we know it will be wiped out & the new "melting pot" religion will form w/the coming of the Anti-Christ. Joel Richardson has written so much that "Islam" will be the controlling force of the Anti-Christ. If Psalm 83 happens as stated I think he'll be quite suprised what God does to Islam. (It seems to me He's not amused & will wipe it out.)

Following are event to occur:

1.God gathers the Jews into the land of Israel from the 4 corners of the earth.

2. Jews rebuild ruins and inhabit formerly abandoned cities.

3. The meet w/Arab resistance.

4. Israel establishes an army in self-defense.

5. Surrounding Arab nations form a confederacy. (Ps.83:1-5 & 12)

6. The confederacy plots to destroy Israel.(Jer 49:2,8,19,)

7. Wars start between the confederacy & Israel.

8. Israel regains the title "My people Israel." (there is a whole explaination of when it began-stopped-and will start again.)

9. Israel decisively defeats the confederacy.

10. Israel takes prisoners of war.(Jer 49:3-6, 48:46,47.) "Leave your fatherless children[decendants of Esau], I will preserve them alive; And let your widows trust in Me.(Jer 49:11)

11. The region is reshaped. (Jer 49:2,10)(Zeph 2:4)

12. Israel expands it's borders.(Obad 1:19, Jer 49:2,Isa 19:18-19)

13. Israel dwells securely in it's land.

14. Israel has become an "exceedingly great army."(Ezek 37:10)

15. This segment of the plan of God is fullfulled!

So if this happens 1st can't you see how big a "hook" it would be to Russia,Iran,& the rest? The Islamic nations are confident they will once and for all wipe Israel off the map & they get decimated.(Psalm 83) The remaining Islamic nations are really ticked about this & want their land, resources, and $$$ back.Russia also wants to expand it's borders and really wants the entire region so all they have to do is take out Israel now. All those other Islamic countries are of no concern because of Israel's take over. Russia goes against Israel w/their Islamic friends but in reality Russia now thinks they can not only take over Israel (greed, pride,& power) but also turn on their Islamic friends & have the entire bag in one shot.
That's why it says they end up turning on one another & Russia & the Islamic nations take care of much of the killing of each other.

* Israel makes barren the territory of southern Jordon because of this war. God's plan is to take out "Esau". (Jer 49:10,20-21,)(Obad 1:18, & 9)(Ezek 25:13,14)

Here is another great passage re: Damascus (Jer 49:23-26)

Jerimiah 49:21 "The Earth shakes at the noise of their fall; At the cry its noise is heard at the Red Sea."

Anyway-so far it's enough for me to seriously consider this. The author thinks that the Church may be gone by the time God says again "My people Israel."

I did read some of an interview of his as well as the main meat of his argument on wnd. I have so many books going right now I can not start another. I don't disagree that Ps 83 could be first and he did make a compelling argument for that. However that was pre global financial collapse and I still don't see anything from Israel that they are teetering on the brink of anything. I think it is just a reasonable to conclude that Israel being unaffected by the current global situation would make them a very attractive target. Also the other problem that I have is that this guy makes the assumption that everyone else makes that because there are still bombings, Israel is still being threatened that this situation could not possibly qualify as peace. I don't doubt that most would consider the US to be a peaceful place yet I'll bet there are probably at least a couple large cities where the per capita murder rate likely exceeds the death rate of bombings in Israel. I don't see that the one lone wall that Israel has disqualifies this time either as this guy seems to do. Historically, all cities had large walls around them. I doubt Ezekiel would consider Israel's current wall of the same type that he was talking about.

I think Joel Rosenberg makes just as an appealing case for Ez 38 being in the near future and his reasoning certain countries are not involved is just as sound.

I personally think that IS 17 is next on the agenda.

Not entirely convinced that the three are as disconnected as we seem to think they are either. I see them as much more interconnected.

It would make sense on another front however for PS 83 to happen first-it would certainly show Israel that in the event of war that her human allies might be highly unreliable and therefore when EZ 38 does come about they will know at that point they are truly on their own, human agencies having failed them.

as to whether any of this happens before or after the rapture is anyone's guess. I grew up thinking it would all be after and now not so sure. I can however see Ez 38 happening nearly simultaneously with the rapture or even a little before. The intent of Gog and Magog is to show the nations that the God of Israel still is on the throne, still cares for Israel etc. The revival and multitudes that would come to Christ because of it I think nearly clinches a pre rapture war for me. God is interested that none should perish for eternity. A show of power would do two things
1- many would come to Christ and therefore be taken up, decreasing the amount that could fall victim to the AC
2- those who do choose the AC will have less of an excuse. they did see the power of God manifest and still chose evil. remember the rich man and Lazarus-the rich guy said send Lazarus back from the dead and they will believe? Christ said they have the prophets what more do they need. The modern day response-we never saw God active in the world in a way that we could say-Yes there He is. A show of power on this scale would put to rest that excuse for certain.

Hi,I'm sorry, I meant to say I'm praying for Jessie.

Our God is the One who heals:
Some of you remember that I am involved in an outreach to Muslims in my neighborhood. this is the story of one of the women:
M. was born in Iraq. She underwent that 'female mutilation' as a small child. At the age of 14 her family married her off to an older man in Iran. She had 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Her husband was very abusive. She has huge scars on her arms from the knife he used. One day he broke her back. for 4 years she lay on her back crying out to God.(she had never heard of Jesus!) One day as she was lying there she saw a hand reach out to her and heard a voice say "come to me" she said:"I can't walk". Again the voice said "Come to me" Again she said: "I can't walk". then the voice said "get up and walk". She believed and GOT UP AND WALKED!! She escaped to Pakistan with her children, eluded her husbands efforts to find her,and went to Dubai. While she was there she learned that her husband had died. Her daughters were 12years old, and she was afraid a muslim man would want to marry them. She escaped to the Netherlands, and arrived in the USA 2 1/2 years ago. She learned who the Voice was and was baptized a week ago.

Praise the LORD!!

as to pit bulls-I personally think they are ugly and wouldn't want one. The breed is quite territorial but there are just as many nicer pit bulls out there who haven't had their innate aggressiveness ramped up. I have a friend who bred Rotties-dumb things were as friendly as they come. so much for them being nasty dogs although I'd be very careful who I bought one from since most of that training is done pre sale of the dog.

any dog who isn't properly socialized to humans can bite regardless of the breed.

our neighbors had a dog (some sort of border collie mix or perhaps pure border collie) who had the run of what became our property for years. we were out walking one day when the dog came onto OUR property baring his teeth, growling and generally acting aggressive. I asked the owner not to let her dog come onto our property because I was concerned that he would bite either my husband, myself or our dog. I was informed that "he would never hurt anyone, I must be mistaken about his behavior" When I told her that might be true for family but he did see us as trespassers onto property and territory he consider his despite the fact that it wasn't my concerns were valid and my request stood. She told everyone else I was mean because her dog was the most gentle thing in the world and that we must have done something to the dog for him to behave that way. ah well. suspect if the dog had actually bitten us she wouldn't have liked those results either.

Most people wrote back with different justifications. One person wrote:

It's interesting that Jacob got his come-up-ins when he went to Laban. In Gen. 29:25, he was tricked in return and given the wrong bride after serving the set number of years to win her. It seems to me that God allowed him to undergo his own trickery so that he might realize his deceit regarding Esau and repent.

Another person wrote, In addition to what others have already said, keep in mind that ust because we read in the Scriptures (usually the Old Testament) that a certain character did such and thus, that does not mean that what they did is endorsed by God.

MY take on the whole issue is this:

Excuse me, but didn't Esau SELL his birthright to Jacob? Selling his birthright for a bowl of pottage? So I don't see Jacob and Rebecca as lying or stealing to get what was now rightfully Jacob's.

If their family dynamics were anything like mine, I'll bet if Jacob had gone to Isaac and told him that Esau sold his birthright, and didn't just sell but swore an oath to G_D that he did sell his birthright for a bowl of pottage, Isaac might have said, "Oh, no, he didn't!"

On the other hand, G_D might have told Isaac to say, "Well, too bad for Esau." Both Jacob and Rebecca suffered a lack of faith that G_D would respect oaths made to Him, and command Isaac to honor Esau's oath. This trickery was how they showed their lack of faith.

The discussion went back and forth from there, and now the question is, Did the blessing come with the birthright? IOW, when Esau sold his birthright to Jacob, did he sell the right to receive the blessing with it? Or is the blessing something different from the birthright and Jacob did in fact steal it from Esau?

Inquiring kindergarteners want to know.

Jib,

We have a Rotti and I can testify that you’re correct. They are dumb, very loyal & friendly. The first thing he does when he meets anyone is flop on his back & sticks his belly up for a scratch.

Now if he sees someone walking around the perimeter of our property he does bark and run along the fence so unless you know him he seems ferocious.

When I married my hubby I inherited Rottweilers into my life since he loves them. He always says "Polo, your dumb!" in a loving way.

The most irritating thing about this dog is that he wants to actually 'lay' on you. Whenever I want to sit down & watch the girls he comes right over, leans against me, tries to put is paw on my lap, and sticks his dog breath mouth right near my face. I push him away and he comes back for more.
Eventually I just have to stand up to get away from him.

Some are not quite as "in your face" as this one.

I've met quite a few nice Pit Bulls but your right about the breeding. So many are encouraged to be aggressive unless you know the owner it's better to steer clear of that breed. Their jaws are extremely powerful. I knew one that would jump up and dangle from
a patio beam for fun.

This is not my own brilliance it came from Chuck Smith. I don't know if it helps but:

Changing the plan of God: Gen 27:27-29

"If you will recall, the blessing that Isaac gave to Jacob, who disguised himself as his brother Esau, whas that his brother would serve him. And,in that,Isaac was trying to contradict what God had declared before the childen were born."

"You remember when Rebekah was having difficulty w/her pregnancy, miserable because of all the action that was going on in her womb, she said,"Lord, what is happening?" And the Lord said, "There are two nations in your womb. They are different from each other, and the older will serve the younger." That was God's sovereign declaration before the babies were ever born. That was God's plan."

"Isaac was trying to move out of the plan of God. Isaac favored Esau. So he was trying to move out the plan of God; he was trying to change that which God had declared. He was going to put the blessing upon Esau & make the younger serve him. Isaac was not pure and innocent in this thing at all. He was acting after the flesh."

Four Who Were Wrong

"Jacob was not honorable in this whole thing. He was deceiving & he was lying. Isaac was not honorable. He was trying to contradict the plan of God. He was trying to give the blessing to Esau, which God had said would go to Jacob. Esau had already sold his birthright. The father knew that. And Rebekah wasn't totally honorable either. She had set up the whole deception."

A Lost Son

"This bit of deception cost Rebekah her relationship with her son Jacob, because he had to flee the wrath of Esau. He moced to the area of Haran, which is some 500 miles away, and he was there for 20yrs before he returned. By the time he returned, Rebekah was already dead. And so this son Jacob, whom she loved, as the result of setting up this bit of deception, was lost to her, because she never saw him again after he departed."

From this book Israelstine I found this to be ultra cool! (Sorry Jib-whenever I find something like this I go nuts! Maybe my new name will be "unbridled enthusiasm")

The 144,000 are named in the book of Revelation 7:5-8. They were listed here in non-chronological order when normally when the Bible lists decendants in the chronological order of their birth.

The tribe of Judah is listed 1st in Revelation 7:5 but in birth order he's actually the 4th.The rest are all out of order as well.

"An astute student of the Word watches for these abnormalities within the scriptures and, as such, is always encouraged to dig deeper in order to discover what the Holy Spirit intends for him or her to understand relative to the text."

The meaning of the names: Judah(Praise God),Reuben (behold a son), Gad(good fortune), Asher(happiness), Naphtali(my wrestling), Manasseh(God has caused me to forget), Simeon(hearing), Levi(joining or adhesion), Issachar(God has given me my hire, or man for hire), Zebulun (elevated or elevated dwelling), Joseph (adding or increaser), Benjamin(son of the right hand).

The message of the names:

"Praise God! Behold! a son of good fortune and happiness. My wrestling God has caused me to forget. Hearing of our joining. God hath given me my hire and elevated dwelling increased by the son of the right hand."

"What me might surmise from these names is their individual understanding of their subject ministries. Praise God for the gospel of Christ, a son of good fortune and happiness. My wrestling with sin and the Mosaic Law, God has caused me to forget. Hearing the mystery of our joining w/the Gentiles God hast given me my hire.He has elevated me, a Jew reinstated with "My people Israel" status, back into ministry & had increased the number of being saved through Christ, the son of the right hand."

He thinks the 144,000 will be the "firstfruits to God and to the Lamb" suggesting that they likely represent the first crop of harvested souls after the rapture of the Church.

Revelation 14 "Then I looked and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000.....These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.....

Firstfruits: "The choice examples of a crop harvested first and dedicated to God. In accordance w/Mosaic law, individal Israelites brought to the house of the LORD "the first(that is,'the best') of the firstfruits of they land." (Ex 23:19, 34:26)

Just a side note: "the gospel will be preached in all the inhabited world and then the end will come". It's preached now pretty much everywhere via missionaries and TV but I also think what this refers to is in the same chapter Rev 14 right after the 1st fruits.verse 6.
"When I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to peach to those who dwell on the earth-to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people....." This is their last chance then His judgment falls.

(BTW the JW's use this "preach" verse because they think once the JW gospel is preached everywhere is when-the end will come for those not a JW. It's all about the "society". Talk about replacement theology to the extreme!)

The EU from their Brussels headquarters, is talking about a plan that would wipe England off the map and create a united Europe according to British officials who say the EU has revised a map that would divide up England and create a European superstate via the backdoor.

What do you think about this?

Mt. 6: 24 thru 34

"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life. As to what you will eat, or what you will drink, nor for your body as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow nor reap nor gather away into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow, they do not toil, nor do they spin, and yet I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will he not much more clothe you of little faith? Do not worry then, saying what will we eat or what will we drink or what will we wear for clothing? For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

That about sums it up!

I read a little poem that I guess summarizes the way I decided to go through life. But it describes how futile it is to worry. It says:

Worry never climbed a hill,
Worry never paid a bill,
Worry never dried a tear,
Worry never calmed a fear.

Worry never fixed a heel,
Worry never cooked a meal,
Worry never composed a song to sing,
Worry has never stopped anything but faith in God; you see worry is the exact opposite of trusting God,
Actually, worry never did a worthwhile thing.

Marge said...

Grany,
Worry does something. I
Unfortunately, it allows fear to enter into a person's life, and faith flys out the door, at that point :(

So, worry never has done a worthwhile thing.
Kick it out of your life (everyone!) in the powerful name that is above all names, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

not overly worried truthfully just fatalistic perhaps.

for all you who like to play "guess the identity of the AC" comes a new thought courtesy of my dad in response to the article I think Mac posted about 1936.

"Reminds me of the place in Scripture that says the world will not act against the
ones who go to war against Israel. But rather wring their hands. It's no wonder that many
saw Hitler as the Anti-Christ. But remember the word used for Anti-Christ could also mean
"instead of" or in "place of." This seems to be the goal of the
Anti-Christ."

Jib, I agree with you re the AC. I really can't see the AC being Islamic when taking into account the destruction of Damascus and the Gog/Magog conflict. No Islamic leader would ever allow a Temple to be rebuilt on the Mount. I just can't see it working that way.

From Nate's link:

Pope Benedict XVI warned last week against fundamentalists' literal interpretations of the Bible.

The pontiff told a gathering of intellectuals and academics in Paris that the structure of the Bible "excludes by its nature everything that today is known as fundamentalism. In effect, the word of God can never simply be equated with the letter of the text," Benedict said.

I went to a Catholic primary school where we were taught by the nuns that God created Adam and Eve - literally. Upon enetering a public secondary school, I found that the priests who took the Christian Ed classes (yes, we had them in those days) took an allegorical approach to Genesis and even the resurrection.

When a denomination accepts doctrines and/or beliefs not supported in the Bible it's
seems like the natural thing to
do is to slip into allegorizing
convenient parts of it. That then
leaves the door open to accept
other worldly ideals such as evolution/gays in clergy/etc.. & eventually replace Biblical truths for whatever reason down the line.

If we just all stuck the Word of God and interpreted it literally unless otherwise obviously noted-we would be so much closer in our beliefs. I'm sure there would still be differences but not as drastic.

We don't add anything to scripture and don't omit anything from scripture. If some "angel spirit" comes around and says anything otherwise we don't listen to them.

You could never prove the instructions came from God if it's not in His word. That is why the Bible was written for our instruction & the only Holy Book we require.

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

I'm afraid from what I see-those of us who do take God's word literally will be the main target of future persecution. So many comments in the headlines nowadays are reflecting this.

Literal=Fundamental=non-conforming=ignorant religious fanatic and therefore dangerous to society. Bible based Christians are compared to the religion of Islam as they are non-conformists.

This is what it really says:

Literal=non-conforming=convicting your heart of sin & you don't like the bad feeling-therefore you would like to extinguish it. It does not make you "feel good." You are not accepted "as is" by their God.

Being raised in the US we are not used to this shift in our culture. The more the humanistic viewpoint is brainwashed into our society the less people are willing to accept non-conforming Christians. The Christians that do conform will be welcome-for awhile.
Some denominations may be feeling this pressure and are caving into it.

The public school system is systematically brainwashing our children to be PC above all things.
Everyone is equal. Every religion is also equal in truths. Don't judge anyone or anything. Baaaaa, Baaaaa. Sheeple. Go with the main stream of society & don't question it.

The God I believe in is capable of making our universe & planet in 6 literal days & a literal world wide flood. Since our time/space fit into the palm of His hand-yes He is that big & Almighty. Not only is that what the His word says but much of man made science confirms it.

I was raised believing the literal 6 day creation as a child in Lutheran & Catholic (1 yr) school. As I went on to public is when I kept both in mind and eventually started thinking they must both somehow be true. Then I compromised my beliefs (JW days) and figured the 6 literal days was 6 1000 year periods. (I still wouldn't go as far as traditional evolution and millions of yrs.)

Anyway, thank goodness I got whipped back into shape. Whew.

So Jim C.- can you whip the Vatican back into shape so we don't have to see these "evolution" & "aliens could be our brothers" headlines? I think they used to @ some point support a literal creation. What changed?

Has the educational system swayed their minds just as it has done to many other Christians these days?

(You already know what I think of these "aliens" but the fact they don't connect them w/Nephilium is of great concern to me. Do they not believe the Nephilium existed?)

Although I'm not overly joyous about "Halloween" - Lorraine really wanted to be an angel. So today we bought two angel costumes.
One for each girl.

I wanted to pass out those "Ticket to Heaven" tracts and realized later how cute that will be in conjunction w/their "angel" costumes. We were just going to a few houses but now this angel/"ticket to heaven" scenario has expanded our house to house horizons.

I guess that JW experience can come in handy after all!

I agree. These comments by the pope and other catholic leaders is great cause for concern and sad, in my opinion.
They teach things that are no where to be found in the bible, and dismiss things that are in the Bible.
It's not just the RCC that does this...it's most churches.
Christ can not be found in most churches, just as He said it would be during the last days.

There is another new book posted on his blog they are all excited about. But this group is ADAMANT that the Anti-Christ will be a Muslim.

I still cannot swallow that pill. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to keep looking at potential Muslims overtaking the world by Peace.

I keep telling myself Obama is not the Anti-Christ. *He does fit the Muslim & World Peace criteria.

I could not even believe it if the Anti-Christ was leading the USA. If that ends up being the case I would consider it some big time judgment. Even the "be all end all" of judgments. What could possibly be worse?
