2Co 12:9

And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Yahooo, I'm first.

Of course I'm first it is 330 in the morning and I'm the only one up. I took decogestive medicine too late in the evening and.....I'm still awake, doing laundry(which there never is a shortage of), reading blogs and talking to you:)

However, lately I've received many e-mails from different people about B.O.(which come to think of it, his initials pretty much sums up his whole platform and campaign.......stinky) questioning his birthplace, his terrorist ties, his aquaintences, etc. It makes one wonder why isn't the press, the Clintons for that matter, and regular ole' Americans really holding his feet to the fire? Why are so many people swooning at his voice, letting his former church affiliation slide, overlooking the gajillion dollars of campaign contributions? Wonderful, intellegent people at my job are really into him and think he has all the answers. It just floors me. I could see if they said,"Hey, I don't like either one and he is the lesser of the two evils.....but that's not what they are saying.

I think this country and its citizens are under extreme spiritual warfare. I think the master of confusion is heavily at work here and too much is riding on this election for him not to turn up the heat to scorching hot.

I agree with Grany and think we should pray without ceasing for our fellow Christians to wear their full armour of God, to pray earnestly for our brothers and sisters in Christ to reach the unsaved, and for our country.

I get so disgusted with the whole election and the state of our country, I just want to throw my hands up and say, "God help us!" A split second after that thought, the Holy Spirit reminds me.....indeed He will. He will never leave us or forsake us...oh the plans He has for us are glorious indeed.

Please Lord I pray, through our weakness...show them your Glory.

Have a wonderful Sunday and be bold for the Lord. He is coming, I can't wait to hear the Shofar. It fills with such great excitment and fear all at the same time. Whoever said that being a Christian is boring??

Fighting the good fight,

couldn't agree with you more. it is interesting however that a couple I expected to be pro BHO isn't so don't give up hope.

I had a thought yesterday-with all the press that the real AC has gotten-ie that there are those of use who think he will exist and rule etc, it used to boggle my mind that anyone could fall for something so patently obvious. not so much any more. this election is starting to resemble what I've always assumed that the tribulation would look like-those who are willingly being deceived or who don't care if they are deceived by the AC, those who choose the side of right and God and then those in the middle who can't seem to make up their minde (and it's an allegory folks not claiming that McCain is God or that the republican party is the one of God either one just using it as an analogy)

yes, that is his stated reason for not voting for the partial birth abortion ban as well. don't buy it for a minute. while the laws might be on the books, no one seems to be worried or concerned about enforcing them. even folks who wouldn't normally vote against anything that limited abortion voted for this one-Pelosi, Boxer, Biden etc. that alone should tell you something. I think it represents a convenient excuse nothing more. There is one doc who bragged about the number of partial birth abortions he has done and he is not currently standing trial under the old or new law.

no one is standing trial for infanticide for allowing aborted babies born alive to die either I might add.

so apparently the laws that existed before this vote didn't have enough teeth to them. it is a bit like Grany said-the laws were designed in part to staunch the tide of the limits people were willing to push in their quest for killing off our children.

Grany and LW some powerful posts there

I might note that hubby saw a documentary back in the early 80's or perhaps very late 70's after McCain was brought back to the states on the Hanoi Hilton. The others claimed that McCain was the spiritual leader of the group (according to hubby). I think I saw the same thing and it was someone else but who knows. which is to say he may have the spiritual depth but he hasn't used it in so long it is rusty and needs to be primed rather like a the pumps of yore when water hadn't passed through in a while.

ha-I'm still trying to figure out the The Clinton Global Initiative seems to be the thing to do for ex country leaders. interesting that we now have 2 former leaders of relatively powerful countries with stated similar goals. I might have to rethink those 10 kings/horns in a new light.

regarding the Israelistine-until we got to the whole pact between the AC and Israel being over modern day nephilium I found some of his stuff to be quite enlightening and interesting. not so much now.

that link to Blair is very similar to one of the initiatives of the Clinton group although the Clinton group is the scarier of the two. It is interesting however that Blair was an invited guest of the CGI on more than one occasion. folks who are invited are given tasks to do and if they aren't accomplished or at least started well that person or persons do not get invited back. It is always held with the formal convening of the UN as well I might add. the CGI actually encompasses everything-law, economics, religion etc. the guest list is a who's who of leaders from all walks of life and all countries. The CGI generally posts what each individual volunteered to do and the progress they have made. The Tony Blair foundation however makes me wonder if there are private goals-ha now who is espousing conspiracy theory!

This Yale project/Blair Foundation project is ecumenism at it worst or finest depending on one's views. This is very definitely a push to the one world religion spoken of in the end times. Unfortunately the one doing the pushing is a recent convert to the RCC-sorry Jim.

Amusing sort of transcript from Glenn Beck on BHO ordering Lobsters and Caviar from room service while at the Waldorf Astoria yup, he's just like me. Personally the lobsters at the waldorf are rather rubbery, I'd rather have arugula tea sandwiches and caviar but that's just me

(I can't say Ive never ordered from room service before but it's usually because the stupid meeting starts at 6:30am and if I want anything more than stale pastries its room service since the restaurants conveniently don't open until after the meeting starts. unless we score a refrigerator then I buy stuff. the last time we bought one of those cheap Styrofoam chests it leaked and we were less than popular with the maid service)

Very interesting comments and congratulation on being #1 here. Being up that late from the decongestant meds can do wonders for getting chores done. I once ironed 3 bushel baskets of clothes in a very short period of time and that was just the beginning of a feverish rush to keep busy. Not many people around to interrupt you either, was there!

I really feel that the reason for the Obama swoon could simply be that God has turned them over to a reprobate mind. It is something that each one of us can bring onto our selves by what we pursue and desire. We manage to short circuit our connection to God and see things in a distorted way. Right becomes wrong and left becomes right.

Gosh, Jib, it is great having you home and telling it like it is. I have missed you but I have been praying.

I watched Prophecy in the News yesterday and the New Sabbatical Cycle Begins is well worth the time spent. Very good points and well presented. My feet are itching to fly away and up! I tried to watch the video at the Western Wall for the Jewish Feast of Sukkot but our DSL connection kept me from it. We are having some problems with interrupted service for some unknown reason and it is getting very disgusting. AT&T isn't the best way to go but hubby feels committed. He better stay well, is all I can say. We have fiber optic here and everyone tells me it is great.

Well, a God Sunday to all of you and keep on praising and worshiping the Lord.

Great post Jenny! Wonderful to read 1st thing.

I was just thinking last night how important it is (all the time but especially RIGHT NOW) that we know what our spiritual armor is and how to use it.

If the Holy Spirit tells us to "use this or use that" are we proficiently trained & an expert with each individualized weapon at our disposal?

Do we all know exactly what we believe and why we believe it? Do we know where to find the answers in the Bible?

That one "vision" impressed upon me-that the hordes of hell may be soon unleashed against us- has been afresh in my mind. I don't know if that lady’s vision was God sent or not-never the less it's given me some spiritual things to consider.

At the same time the Sunday message has been mainly focused on Spiritual warfare & effective prayer. The authority we have in Jesus Christ to pull down demonic strongholds. Today again was a timely message & I'll post it when it comes up. The Biblical references were really great & I plan to look @ it again so I can write them down.

Revival has also been on the lips of this congregation-any others here w/the same message @ church?

So let me just say what the Spirit seems to be communicating. Tell me if you hear the same thing.

1. Be "in Christ"
2. Be "in prayer"
3. Be "in-telligent" know the Word.
4. Be "humble & submissive" to God.
5. Be come "Spiritually Mature" press ahead @ all times-there is no end to maturity.
6. Be ready to be called for great works in Christ. Something is coming ahead of us. Those ready will be used for God's glory.
7. Be prepared for persecution & resistance to the Lord's calling. Use the full armor of God & the devil will have no choice but to flee from you. Realize you stand in heavenly places w/authority in the powerful name of Jesus.

***The one who wants to seduce you into thinking your weak & no match for his crafty schemes is Satan. He knows the power of Jesus and he does not want Christians to know how to use the authority given to them by & through Jesus Christ against him.

Lisa,

You asked:

Yes. One of our pastors has repeatedly said that he strongly believes that (1) difficult times are ahead and (2) revival is ahead.

I was listening to the radio this afternoon and it contained a great sermon message from another local pastor. It is an EXCELLENT word for us now. Lisa, I think you'd like this sermon in particular.

Sermon regarding revival for America

Download the podcast for September 28, 2008 and listen to it. This pastor is anointed!

Oops. It's the October 12, 2008 sermon that I heard today on the radio. Download that one. Same web site I linked above.

The actual sermon starts about halfway into the podcast so you can jump right to the half-way point if you like.

Well, I've read the posts, but will come back later to read all of the interesting-looking links everyone has shared.

I agree with the many who have said we need to be praying right now. God really seems to be putting that on hearts the last couple of weeks.

Our small group broke away from our regular study last week to spend the whole time in prayer.

This morning, I turned on the tv to catch news, and instead it was on a Christian station and some ladies locally were sharing how God was calling them to pray for revival. God confirming this yet again.

I think it is not isolated. It really seems that God is calling His people to pray and awaken right now.

Well, will see what is going on in the world and get to my day. Hope everyone has a good one!

"Legend of the 1975 death of Elijah Muhammad
Members of The Nation of Islam have long held that Elijah Muhammad did not die, but instead escaped a death plot, was restored to health, and is aboard “that huge wheel-like plane that is even now flying over our heads.” Among Muhammad's passengers on the Mother Wheel is the mysterious figure named W.D. Trust Us!

I wonder what Bush is sharing with McCain and Obama about what is really going on in the world. It looks like our country is in for a world of hurt soon, no matter who is president....our world for that matter.

You know, I've always known that the rapture and subsequent Tribulation could be imminent. But now, as the pieces are almost all in place, I expect it as I turn each corner.

I think Biden has something specific on his mind when he said these things, but he's trying to be vague in a rambling sort of way. My guess.....Bush has shown the candidates that the one-world currency and subsequent government is on the way. It's not going to go over well with the American people, but trust THEM, it's the way is has to be. Right? We'll have to turn over much of our sovereignty, but what choice do we have? I can see that happening sooner than later.

Of course, he could also be referring to a conflict with Iran, which could be inevitable should Israel attack Iran pre-emptively.

Interesting stuff.....I'm ready to go.

I have sense personally what you expressed and I think others are hearing the voice of God also. the sermon preached on 10/12 at the church we attended was most powerful and on that very subject-what does the Christian walk look like. The pastor of our church is teaching on the 7 churches in Revelation and using that to underscore both what the church is to look like and what it is not to look like. I think over time as his preaching hits closer to the bone we will see some members leaving but then will obtain new.

we talked to an extent of the fact that one of the woman in our sunday school class feels we are approaching a time when we will all be in underground house churches. perhaps a rotating social barbecue that just happens to be on sunday might suffice as cover? who knows.

when we pray for revival are we willing to accept that the times when the church has been most vital, perhaps with the exception of the Great Awakening, is when the church has come under great persecution? something to think about

I got this off of Glenn Beck's web site and now I can't access it to do a blue thingy. But I did copy it to keep on my computer so here goes.

Glenn Beck: Biden's spooky words
October 20, 2008 - 13:24 ET
Related Story
Biden: "Gird Your Loins", For the Next President "It's Like Cleaning Augean Stables"

GLENN: From Radio City in Midtown Manhattan, third most listened to show in all of America. Joe Biden should be forced by the media -- and he won't be -- should be forced by the media to explain this statement. This is from ABC News. Yesterday Joe Biden guaranteed that if elected Senator Barack Obama will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by with him as he makes tough and possibly unpopular decisions. Mark my words, quoting, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John F. Kennedy. Well, we know what that test was. That test was Russia and the Cuban missile crisis. That's not a small test. Anybody who was alive -- I was not. If anyone who was alive back then, they will tell you it was a frightening, frightening time, where we thought the entire world was going to be vaporized and everyone would be dead. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking -- exactly what we have told you on this program. We're about to -- by the way, boy, this is just -- I mean, there is just food in this one for two weeks. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John F. Kennedy." Think back to what I have told you about the perfect storm. Think back to what I have told you about the weight on this table. I have told you that if any -- if there's additional pressure or sudden pressure on this table, if there is a crisis like the Cuban missile crisis, it could cause this table to fall. It could -- there's just no more pressure that this table can take. And that's why the world is looking right now. That's why the world wants to test this guy. That's why our enemies want to push us up against the wall, because we are so vulnerable right now. We're about to elect a 47-year-old brilliant senator President of the United States of America. Remember, I said it here with you. If you don't remember anything else I said, quoting Joe Biden: Watch, we're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis to test the mettle of this guy. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate, and he's going to need help, and the kind of help he's going to need, he's going to need you, not financially to help him, we're going to need you to use your influence, your influence within the community to stand with him. Because it's not going to be apparent initially, it's not going to be apparent that we're right. Gird your loins. We're going to win with your weapon. God willing, we're going to win but this is not going to be an easy ride. This President, the next President is going to be left with the most significant task. It's like cleaning stables but it's more than that. This is just more than that, literally. Think about it. This is more than just a capital crisis. This is more than just markets. This is a systematic problem that we have with this economy.

He said, I forgot more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues now and I'm not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it. This guy has it. He is going to need your help because I promise you, we're all going to be sitting here a year from now saying, oh, my God, why, why are they there in the polls, why is the polling so down, why is this thing so tough.

Do you hear this? This is not change and hope. Do you hear this? He is promising us, he has said "I promise you" a couple of times. He has said "I guarantee you" a couple of times. This is Joe Biden. "I promise you we're going to be sitting here a year from now going oh, my God," quoting, "Why are they there in the polls, why is the polling so down, why is this thing so tough. We're going to have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us. There are going to be a lot of you who want to go, whoa, wait a minute, whoa, whoa, whoa; I don't know about that decision because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you they will be when they're made, they're not likely going to be as popular as they are sound because if they're popular, they're probably not sound." Whew.

He then went on to foreign policy again and said, "We don't have the military capacity, nor have we ever quite frankly in the last 20 years to dictate outcomes." In other words, we haven't had, according to Joe Biden, the military capacity in 20 years to win a war. I then said, "I probably shouldn't have said all of this because it's dawned on me that the press is here. But these guys have left us in a God-awful place. We have the ability to straighten out. It's going to take some time. I ask you to stay with us. Just stay with us." What the hell does that even mean?

Well, let's go a couple of places. Let's go on. Let's just -- since he mentioned the Middle East and Russia as possibilities, let's go a couple of ways. Let's go the Middle East. Let's say Russia and Iran block the Strait of Hormuz. Let's say Russia and Iran. Let's say Iran decides to announce that they are going to load pay loads of nuclear missiles. Do we strike? Do we not strike? Conventional wisdom would tell you that Barack Obama would not strike, but he's preparing for something unpopular, and he's talking directly to liberals. So that would lead you, if it would be that scenario, that would lead you to believe that we would strike.

I will tell you this. When it comes to foreign policy, I will just tell you what the President told me as I sat in the Oval Office. It was a year and a half ago. It was the day that Barack Obama said that he was going to fly planes over into Pakistan and that will cause World War III. Striking Iran is World War III. We are on the precipice. It's got to be right the first time. There's no more room to say, oh, well, it's not really working. There's no more room left. What the President said to me when I heard that statement from Barack Obama, he said, "Listen. No matter who wins, we are so boxed in, when they see the reports and the briefings that I see every day and they understand what's truly happening in the world, believe me, they will realize they have very few options. There's not going to be a lot done differently.

Now, is it a possibility that that's what he's talking about, that he's talking to his liberal friends? Maybe he's talking about an Iranian strike. Maybe he's talking about not doing anything on an Iranian strike. Maybe he's talking about going into Pakistan because this is the same speech where he talked about Osama Bin Laden is in Pakistan, and Pakistan is bristling with nuclear weapons. Is he talking about the possibility of going in there? Because that sure wouldn't look right. But it would to the dummies.

Is it a possibility, because he was talking about the economy, is it a possibility that he's talking about an international crisis, not military but an international crisis that is brewing all around the world? The rest of the world is blaming us for what has gone on. And you know what? The rest of the world had the same kind of policies that we do. The rest of the world had the same kind of spending. The rest of the -- England spent. They were deep into the 125% loans long before we were. These, the rest of the world had debt long before we did. But here's where they have a point. Here's where the rest of the world is starting to line up and blame us and that is what we've done to our dollar. And right now people on television will tell you, "Oh, don't worry about the dollar; look, it's gaining value because theirs is losing value. We're the safest." That's like, you know, that's -- honestly that's the end of Titanic. Okay, so the headboard was floating out there. That doesn't make the headboard a lifeboat. It makes it a headboard. It just happens to be better than some of the other things like people that they are grabbing onto and forcing down. It's still a headboard. It's not a lifeboat. And what we're doing to the headboard, the American dollar, is trashing it day after day after day after day.

For the depressing news you are reading, here's a cute animal video...

There's another story. I just looked up at the television and they are talking about yet another stimulus package. I don't know if you saw this, but Fannie and Freddie are bailing out the bad mortgages. Well, what the heck was the $700 billion for? Why is Freddie and Fannie taking on additional mortgages? This money is not coming from China. This money is not coming from anywhere except the printing presses. And the rest of the world is saying, "What are you doing? You promised us in 1946 that you would have gold. Then in 1972 you promised you wouldn't trash your dollar but you were going to get off the gold standard. And now? Now what? Now you've trashed it. Now you've reached the top of the debt limit."

See, there was the gold standard, and when we got off the gold standard, we went to the debt standard. The debt standard is now too much. We got off the gold standard because of Johnson. We had the war in Vietnam and then we decided we're going to do the Great Society. So we needed to have more money to pay for the Great Society. Well, when we didn't have enough money because bed to stay on the gold standard, we were like, "Okay, you know what? Let's just get off the gold standard. Let's print some more money but not so much, just enough to make this Great Society work. Because remember debt, in your house debt's bad. But debt for the United States government? That's not bad. Well, now as we approach our first $1 trillion deficit in one year, we've hit the top of our debt standard. Nobody's going to want to loan to us. And so what happens? When we can't fund it through loans or we can't afford the interest, we'll just start printing more money. And we're printing it like there's no tomorrow. The line on the chart of printing money, you hit October and it goes straight up. Well, this is what leads to things like bread in a wheelbarrow.

So what happens if maybe he's talking about there's going to be an international crisis and that international crisis revolves around the Great Depression 2? What about that? And it might look very unpopular, but I'm going to need your help. And maybe that's one global financial system. Maybe it's one global currency because that's what China and France and everybody else is asking for now, one global currency. Gird your loins. "Gird your loins" are his words. This is not the campaign of hope and change. This is not the "We just need to get in there." This is not the message that you're getting from Wall Street. This is not the message that you're getting from any of the business leaders. This is not the message that you're getting from the Fed or the Treasury. You are not getting this. You are not getting that a guy could go -- Barack Obama could be Jesus to a year from now. Quote: I guarantee you you are going to be saying, oh, my God, why are they there in the polls," where he a year in advance is begging for you to stick with him. And if things are that bad in the polls and he knows public opinion, he knows, quote, what is right, but the American people will not know what is right -- do you hear this? He knows, Barack Obama knows what's right but you will not know what is right and so he's saying, "We're going to need your influence because the little people will disagree with it," how do you stop, how do you stop disenfranchisement from being a movement? How do you stop people when the government says "We know, little person, what is right and you're wrong and in time we'll prove you wrong and you'll know. So sit there and shut up." What does that mean about the Fairness Doctrine? How are they going to let voices like mine or Rush or Sean, how are they going to let voices like this say they're wrong! They won't. And it will be an international crisis that Joe Biden has just guaranteed us, if it takes six months. This is why I've been saying you've got to prepare because those who are prepared will not fear. Those who will prepare can lead the way. Those who are prepared, who understand what's coming, what they're talking about. I told you before none of these people are telling you the truth. This is the closest to the truth I've heard any of these people say. Those who are prepared will be able to lead and calm those around them that are panicking."

Today, while in Ft. Smith to set up hubby's cataract surgery (Election day)yikes! we were talking about the election and I said I didn't have much faith in the common sense of people voting for right and decency let alone being motivated by a Godly conscience. Hubby responded with "no decency went out with the birth control pills." No hubby was no prude but for him to even suggest that birth control pills were at the basis of degenerate life styles was a stretch for me. His statement said so very much more than I had expected but when I started thinking about it, I have to agree with him. Did decency disappear with the Pill?

Something to think about for awhile.

ALESIA, it was great seeing your comment. Still praying for your complete and total recovery.

MAC, say these words after me
"By the Stripes of Jesus I am healed and he was bruised for my iniquities and the chastisement of my sins were upon him." "By back is strong, healthy and capable to perform according to the designs of my creator.

Persecution often goes hand in hand with revival.
However, after the rapture of the church, I believe revival fires will blaze worldwide.

But will we see rivival (in America) before the rapture?

I had requested prayer for my mom the other day so I wanted to let you know what is going on.

She has severe liver failure. She had been in the hospital since Friday and they let her come home today.

The doctor told her she could have as little as a few weeks to as much as a year to live. She has to be on complete bed rest.

Would you all please join me in praying for her salvation?

I will be going down to see her in the next few weeks. She lives in California and I live in Wa state.

I REALLY want to be wrong about this because I was very encouraged by the story from "Pastor Mark Arnold" about the how the Lord used him to deliver a message to Sarah Palin in Lebanon, OH.

This is Pastor Mark's website:
http://www.agreeinprayer.com/index.html

Sure, he does give an e-mail address and a phone number. I wouldn't doubt that someone is on the other end of these addresses.

But, how come his "church" doesn't have a website? How come I can't even find a listing for LIFE COVENANT CHURCH in Monroe, Ohio? Is there not anyone who knows this Pastor personally that can be a witness to his integrity?

I found two links to a newspaper website with plenty of pictures of the McCain/Palin rally that Pastor Arnold says he attended. I don't see a single scout in any of the pictures.

http://www.western-star.com/p/conten...cainvisit.html

and

http://www.western-star.com/p/conten...ccainuser.html

Anyway, I hate to see another hoax make Christians look like gullible idiots. I'm tempted to call a few of the churches in Monroe, OH and ask if they've ever heard of Pastor Mark Arnold or LIFE COVENANT CHURCH in their small town.

Yes, I did see two pictures that Pastor Mark Arnold says were taken with his cell phone. The thing that caught my eye was the fact that Sarah was wearing two different outfits in the two pictures. Of course, he claims he saw her appear at another event.

Quote:
I got to talk to Sarah Palin again, today. She was north of Cincinnati, Ohio
at the Union Towne Square. What an awesome time we had.
When she saw me, she said, "...hey you..." and I got to talk to her again!

Here's a link to the two pics. Scroll down to the bottom.
http://www.agreeinprayer.com/about.html

Two more things. Google his e-mail address or his phone number. They don't appear to be associated with any church (though the e-mail address is associated with an area not far from Monroe, OH. It's all too disconnected from anything concrete so to speak.

That just doesn't pass the smell test as they say. Am I being too cynical. I know we serve a mighty God an He can do anything and use anyone he chooses. I just feel like I've been taken with this one.

Jim G., Shalom! Luckily for me, this third shift job gives me time to research things like this. I found this information about Pastor Mark Arnold.

First, the photos of boy scouts. If you go to this link you'll get to the "Western Star" web page that has photo gallaries of both the Sept. 9 and Oct. 17 rallies. If you go to photo 71 of 79 (get there faster by clicking on the double-arrow pointing right, then the single arrow pointing to the left) you'll see the boy scouts on the stage holding the flags and saluting while the national anthem is sung. This occured during the Sept. 9 visit he talks about in his email. So yes, there is photographic evidence of boy scouts at her speech.

Second, if you go to this link (a blog titled "A Faithful Steward 4 A Faithful God") and read through both the blogger's notes and all the comments, you'll find that a number of people have checked this out.

Mark Arnold is real and used to be a pastor with Princeton Pike Church of God. "Life Covenant Church" does exist. It is new, which is why there's no web site, and right now it's renting space in a small Methodist church on Rt. 4. You can try to email him, but you might get a bounce message because his email box has been overflowing.

I don't think you're being too cynical. We are, after all, supposed to test things. I'm finding enough evidence that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I do want to point out one thing: G_D may want Palin to be a new Esther, but she won't be if we don't vote her in.

May 29,2009 + 2300 days = Rosh Hashana II, Sept.15,2015. I'm keeping an eye on Biltz's Blood Moon discoveries and find this interesting.

Really though the elite Illuminiti types are absolutely correct. Sheep. Look at all the sheep bleating after "promise" that are following Obama. They are obviously holding back whatever "plans" they do have in store for this country. If they exposed them there would be such an outrage from the sensible people that it may just knock some sense back into those sheep & ruin their lead over McCain.

I just hope we don't have some violent revolution in this Country.

My husband doesn't even give enough credit to Obama to actually have any "plans." But what he does think is dangerous is that Obama will follow those influencial people who do.

actually Lisa since Biden was talking to BHO supporters it would be something THEY don't like-such as staying in Iraq or going to war elsewhere.

face it-if BHO were going to do something WE as Christians didn't like BHO supporters would be all for that by and large and Biden wouldn't be warning them that BHO would do something they didn't like.

course could be talking about martial law which I doubt the left would like any better than the right.

I think she's not up to date on her "Bride" (there is more to it that stated) but in "absolutes" I can see happening.A major turning against siblings, parents, friends
,may happen when those who believe in Biblical absolutes won't conform into whatever is being promoted in the world to unite in the name of "Peace." But as Christians we all know earthly Peace will not come until the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ rules & sets up His kingdom on earth. But-we can have spiritual peace now.

Ezekiel 7:25 "Destruction comes; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none."

Ezekiel 13:10 "It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying, 'Peace!' when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash;

Ezekiel 13:16 along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,' declares the Lord GOD. (NASB ©1995)

1 Thess 5:3 "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail on a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

Coming Signs of Persecution
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman
10-21-2008

"Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more" (Ps 83:4).

God calls us to know the signs of the times. The final end time conflict will arise when nations of the world will come against Israel. The Bible is clear that Jesus will return to the physical place of Jerusalem to collect His bride?represented as all those who believe and trust in Jesus, the Messiah. "Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready" (Rev 19:7). "I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband" (Rev 21:2).

Israel will always be a place of conflict in the world because Satan knows that this is the place Jesus must come back to in order to collect His bride. And when Jesus does that, it will be the end of Satan's influence on the earth through anti-Christ nations. But until Jesus returns, the land of Jerusalem will be in a tug of war among the nations.

There is a growing intolerance in the world for anyone who has a belief system in absolutes. Christians will be viewed as rigid, inflexible and intolerant of other faiths. There will be a season of political moderate philosophy among many nations and individuals. This moderate philosophy will even happen among Christians, Muslims, and political groups. This will open the door to the influence of the antichrist to come against any group believing in absolutes.

A growing trend of anti-Semitism and persecution will emerge against Jews and committed Christians. Christians will be called to stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel. When this happens it will be one of the reasons Jews will believe in the Messiah.

There has been a season of peace for followers of Christ in the western, European and Asian world. But know that a season of persecution is to come. "However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name" (1 Peter 4:16-17).

Pray that you will be faithful.

I could be wrong? But this so-called Esther deal, doesn't ring true to me, at all.

Late Night Lisa said...

Donna,

The guy could be but I don't think so. Have you experienced a "burden" from the Lord before?

I can relate to the grief/sorrow he felt before he went on his mission to give Palin/Mc Cain this "message."

Had I not ever experienced or read of others who have had burdens before I would have most likely read his testimony & also felt he was nuts.

**Or maybe you have & still feel he's nuts (:

But you know- At times it seems God tends to use those of us who appear out of sorts anyway. (I guess you would think I'm a prime candidate-Aye?)

It's a relationship. We cast our burden's upon the Lord but sometimes He'll cast a divine one upon us to either open up our eyes to what is happening & how He feels and/or to be used as a messenger.

This article explains it better

Of course there are people who claim a message comes from the Lord when in fact it does not.
Todd Bentley being a prime example.

So time will tell if this man's burdon was real or from a Godly source. He didn't say or prophesy she was "going to be Vice- President." I think it was that she was called & would be "used" as a modern day Esther.

It certainly alludes to her being Vice-Pres but it could also mean something else. Maybe when things get real rough for Christians in this country she'll stand up & influence someone to stop the persecution. Who knows.

**At least she did stand up for the Christian view of Marriage recently.

They are always such a joy to hear about and edifying to the body of Christ.

I've had a few in a relativlely short period of time. (As shared here.) So as I grow & develop in wisdom & closeness to YHWH what can I anticipate?

Pakistan Steps Up Anti-Terror Fight

Jim G. said...

After further investigation, I’m absolutely convinced that “Pastor Mark Arnold” is a fraud that needs to be exposed!

REASONS I AM CONVINCED HE IS A FRAUD
His written account (on his website) and his verbal account given on the radio program to which he provides a link on his website simply don’t corroborate. There are FAR too many inconsistencies. Pull up the written account on his web site and then listen to the radio interview.

There’s never a physical address given for the church he supposedly pastors.

Sometimes he claims to be from Lebanon and sometimes he claims to be from Monroe.

He uses too many typical Christian phrases as if he is trying too hard. He also tries too hard to convince his audience that this if from the Lord and he has only pure motives.

He encourages people to forward or share his e-mail too much.

He has www in front of both e-mail addresses he gives.

Both e-mail addresses are very generic and could be easily belong to someone who attended the rally and hastily set this up as a hoax.

His English grammar, whether written on his web site or spoken during his radio interview, is quite poor.

I can’t find his church anywhere. Google maps will allow you to view the street level and drive up and down Route 4 (aka Hamilton Middletown Rd. / Wright Brothers Memorial Hwy) near Monroe, Ohio (Between Middletown & Hamilton, Ohio). I challenge anyone to find a Methodist Church where his alleged church might possibly be meeting.

Anyone can invent a pseudonym and post comments on blogs. Duh. It would be so easy to support one’s own internet hoax with blog comments.

He claims there were Boy Scouts up front with him but not a single Boy Scouts or Scout Master can be seen in any of the pictures of the Tuesday, September 9 McCain Street USA Event held at 10:00 am outside the Golden Lamb restaurant in Lebanon, Ohio.

I find it hard to believe that he would have been taking pictures at a time like this with his cell phone. Yet he actually claims to have done this and then posted them as evidence that his story is true on his web site! Does taking pictures of Gov. Palin with a cell phone sound like something he would be doing if he was really there under the circumstances that he claims the Lord led him there? Would a pastor sent by God to deliver a specific word to Gov. Palin under such leading and direction from the Holy Spirit have his cell phone out to snap picures of her at a time like this? I think more likely a hoaxster might take pictures like this or maybe the picture was taken by someone else and has been "borrowed."

What are the chances that he could get that close to Gov. Palin at yet another rally? The other picture he has posted on his web site was clearly taken at a West Chester, OH rally held at the Square of Union Centre on October 17, 2008. The fact that a rally was held there is not in question. What I question is why he would be there? Why wasn't he on his knees after the first encounter? Why waste time going to another rally and trying to get close to Palin again?

PROBLEMS WITH “EVIDENCE” CITED
The one picture which supposedly shows a Boy Scout Leader in a Campaign hat right where the Pastor says the Scouts were standing clearly shows an Ohio state trooper.

WORTH FURTHER INVESTIGATION OR VERIFICATION
Can someone call the Methodist church he supposedly holds his church in?
Do any ministers in the area know Pastor Mark Arnold?
Route 4 / Hamilton Middletown Rd. / Wright Brothers Memorial Hwy
Where is the church that Pastor Mark Arnold pastors?
Someone should be able to contact the Boy Scout troop in Lebanon, OH and see if any Scouts even attended the event much less saw Pastor Arnold there. They could easily look at his picture on the web and see if they remember this guy or if his Boy Scout account is true.
http://hopewell.danbeard.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

POSSIBLE MOTIVES HE MAY HAVE
1.) He may simply crave attention and has seized on the opportunity to get plenty of attention.
2.) Money. While he does not ask for money, he does go out of his way to mention that fact many times. There are likely brothers and sisters in Christ who will feel led to send this “brother” money and contribute to his ministry.
3.) Money. Even if nobody sends him money, I imagine there are Christian radio stations that will pay to interview this guy. This kind of antic obviously has the power to generate plenty of PR.
4.) He and/or the people behind this fraud are Obama supporters. Think about. It feeds on fears and stereotypes that people have about Palin and McCain and especially their supporters. Those people that find this story inspirational are already solidly in the McCain/Palin camp. It won’t change their minds. It definitely has the potential to change minds of undecided voters towards Obama/Biden though. People won’t want to associate in anyway with this guy. If I were an Obama/Biden supporter, I’d have my friends in the mainstream media focus on this big time in the last week or two of the election.

REASONS TO EXPOSE HIM IF HE IS A FRAUD
1.) If it’s helping Obama, that’s reason enough to expose this guy.
2.) Many people view Christians as gullible, simple minded, and naive. Our lack of discernment and willingness to line up behind this guy in droves simply reinforces that stereotype. I know the world will hate us because they hated Christ, but other than being Christlike, I don’t want them to have any reason for running from us or the Gospel that we proclaim. Plenty of otherwise solid Christian websites and ministries may be discredited to some extant because of the damage this guy will do if he is a fraud.
3.) Truth vs. the Father of Lies. We stand for the former because Our Lord is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Satan is the father of lies. If it is an unsubstantiated story, it is simply gossip and the Lord tells us not to gossip. If it is false, we have a moral obligation to expose the falsehood. I have found enough evidence to be fully convinced this guy is not telling the truth and is peddling a lie. For me, I have a moral obligation to expose the story for the lie that it is. Lies and deception are simply wrong. They are especially wicked when done in the name of the Lord.
4.) If McCain is elected, and then this guy is exposed, it will definitely invite persecution of Christians. It will be seen as trickery that was used to get people to vote for McCain/Palin and “steal” the election.
5.) If McCain is elected but this guy is never exposed but the story makes it into the mainstream media, I think it will still invite persecution. As I said above, as this guy talks and the things he has said and written are exposed, people will be even more afraid of Christians (for good reason in my mind).

I say all of the above as a committed Christian (with a charismatic/Pentecostal background). I believe that God can speak to people and through people, even in the manner in which this man has claimed. I also am very strong in my support for McCain/Palin. There is absolutely no way I want to see Obama elected. I have committed to pray for this election and our country in general. I think we should all continue to do that as many have already admonished. We need to be more discerning though, especially in these last days.

I agree, Lisa, it would be good to hear about people's burdens.

Mine mostly have been about people coming to have faith in Him.

My father, for one. Growing up he mainly claimed to be an atheist. I think he felt that there could not possibly be a God since his wife, my mother, died at a very early age of cancer leaving behind 3 preschoolers.
I have had a burden for my father for many years. After begging God to soften my father's heart, one day I felst a sense of peace about it...and felt that my prayers would be answered.
Well, that was a long time ago. I still have a burden for him, but have a sense of peace about it, too.
Now he is getting close to 90 and is in early stages of alzheimers. Here and there he has said things that make it sound like he is softening.
I know it is in His hands.

I've had similar burdens for other people, too....that they get to know about God and Jesus and everything thru His word....and not some man made religion.

I have felt a burden concerning Israel and Jerusalem, etc., too, although I am not sure how to put it all into words. I guess I just want Israel and Jerusalem and the temple all set up the way that He wants and I pray for that.

How about other people?

Praise the LORD! I have been praying for my sons salvation for many, many years. Sunday the family was over for his birthday dinner. I read Luke 2, because this year he shared a birthday with Jesus (if you believe Jesus was born on the Feast of Tabernacles.) After dinner it was all ‘Bible talk’. Soon everyone had their Bible out, pointing out different Scripture. Except my son. He said he didn’t know where his Bible was, hadn’t looked at it since graduation. (it was his 40th birthday.) My daughter brought out a stack of Bibles that I keep around and talked with him a long time. She told him to pick one out, something small that he could take to work, that was easy to read. When he left he had a small NIV with him. We were all praising the LORD for this first step and are now praying that the LORD will give him a desire to read His Word, and give him understanding. The LORD leads us to Him one step at a time. This was a big step!

From Jamie: I'm looking for parallels between Hitlers rise to power and whats going on now. Anything come to mind?

The best book I've read on Fascism and its rise in Europe is Gene Edward Veith's Modern Fascism: The Threat to the Judeo-Christian Worldview. I cannot recommend this book enough. The edition I read was printed in 1992, so it might be updated. My copy is worn, extensively highlighted and the pages need to be taped back in! I bought 5-7 extra copies and gave them out, especially to young people, whenever the subject of Fascism came up. I need to buy more.

"Product Description
This new book in the Concordia Scholarship Today Series examines how fascist views permeate modern philosophy, art, movies, and eugenics--decades after the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II. Dealing with a variety of fascist thought--from the intellectuals to the skinheads--Veith shows how the fascist's focus on self and human will is in direct opposition to the Christian's faith in a righteous God. (Concordia Publishing House)"

BTW, some of you might be interested in Dr. Veith's blog . I don't know where he stands on eschatology, but the blog is focused on culture and has many good insights and discussions.

OK, I'm off. A friend is being sworn in as a US citizen and I'm going to the ceremony, a first for me.

Actually, the picture to which you linked was taken on Oct. 9 (rather than Sept. 9.) Yes, it was in Ohio but the pic shows Boy Scouts at a DIFFERENT rally, in a DIFFERENT place, at a DIFFERENT time (about 7 pm). Furthermore, it was at an indoor venue. The pic showing Boy Scounts was NOT taken at the rally where Pastor Mark Arnold allegedly gave a word from the Lord to Gov. Palin.

The caption for the picture with the Boy Scouts reads:
A Road to Victory Rally begins with the national anthem before Republican vice presidential candidate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, speaks Thursday, Oct. 9 at Wilmington. The Scout incident that Pastor Mark Arnold recounts allegedly took place in Lebanon, Ohio on September 9. It is not disputed that Palin was at rallies at these places on those dates.

But, I have yet to see ANY evidence of Scouts appearing at the Setptember 9 rally. It kind of makes sense if you think about it because the Tuesday rally was held at 10 a.m. when most Boy Scouts would be in school.

The Thursday rally (where you see Boy Scouts) was held at 7 p.m. I checked the calendar for Lebanon H.S. and the 1st day of school for all grades 9-12 was Aug. 21, 2008. Those Scouts definitely should have been in School on the day Pastor Arnold claims they were at the McCain/Palin Rally.

Someone should simply contact the Scouts in the area and see if the Scouts can back up the account that Pastor Mark Arnold gives and if anyone recognizes him as a gentleman who helped escort them to the stage area.

One other thing that I found strange or suspect is the Urgent Prayer Focus page on his web site. The list of items just seems so contrived and fleshly and just "dressed up" in Christanese so to speak. Check it out and tell me if you don't agreee.

Am I completely off base???

I just feel like this guy is lying and taking the Lord's name in vain and trying to manipulate Christians.

By the way, I heard Dr. Dobson interview Gov. Palin on the radio today. Catch the Focus on the Family radio broadcast today if you have the opportunity. Now that is a great VP.

Oh, that reminds me, in the radio interview that Pastor Mark Arnold did with Dr. Laurie Roth, he claims that when he met and shook Sen. McCain's hand, Sen. McCain kept saying to him inquisitively "But it was a good pick, right?" in reference to Gov. Palin. That part of the interview makes both Christians and McCain sound like IDIOTS. You have to listen to it if you are at all in doubt that this guy is lying.

You sure raise good questions. It does seem odd that he would take a picture as the time he was preparing to deliver a message. And, the photo of him up front (again) at a second event. ?? Does seem strange.

Would be sad to hear that it was done falsely, though.

Whether or not he is truthful will probably come to light soon enough. But, whether he is or not, prayer for our country to turn back to God certainly doesn't hurt.

Perhaps the prayer aspect would make this a situation of God using for good what man intended for harm. (If the story proves to be false.)

Just my musings.

Boy, I am still behind in reading all the blue links. So much to read, so little time.

Have a good rest of the day, all.

You go Jim G!

Well, that bullet point prayer was a little much w/the election countdown ticker.

Is this a case of a real word from the Lord taking it to the fleshly extreme or a fraud from the beginning?

It's far more believable when someone remains humble & stands back from the "word" rather than becoming so involved and worked up about it like that page represents.

Now he's turning this into an election "mission" of sorts.

On the blue link I posted "This explains it better"-if you fake a burden from the Lord-watch out! God will be rather displeased about it. (and that's a mild statement.)

Egyption opinion of Economic US crisis

Well-they sure are licking their chops over there in the Islamic ME.

I'm still reading Isralestine re: Psalm 83-and if that does indeed come to pass soon- what a blow it will be to their god Allah.(Or Ezekiel 38/39)

He ties in a vision in Obadiah w/this prophesy. (Also the decimation of Demascus)

Speaking of Edom (Palestine)

"The pride of your heart has deceived you, You who dwell in the clefts of the rock, Whose habitation is high; You who say in your heart,'Who will bring me down to the ground?' Though you ascend as high as the eagle, And though you set you nest among the stars, From there I will bring you down," says the LORD. (Obad. 1:3-4)

All the men in your confederacy Shall force you to the border;(of Israel)The men at peace with you Shall deceive you and prevail against you. Those who eat your bread shall lay a trap for you. No one is aware of it.(Obad 1:7)

(The confederacy probably being Psalm 83:5-8)

"For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You: The tents of Edom [Palestinians] and the Ishamelites [Saudi Arabians]; Moab[Central Jordanians] and the Hagrites [Eyptians]; Gebal [Nothern Lebanese], Ammon [Northern Jordianians], and Amalek;Philstia [Gaza strip Hamas] witht he inhabitants of Tyre [Southern Lebanses]; Assyria [Syrians] also has joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot. Selah."

Psalm 83:4 "They have said, "Come and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name if Israel may be remembered no more."

Obadiah 1:1 "Arise, and let us rise up against her for battle."

(This is where he believes this prophesy is NOT the 2nd coming of Christ. The timing is "near" & prior to day of the Lord.)

"For the day of the LORD upon all the nations is near;As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head. (Obad 1:15)

Zephaniah 2 also connects in.

There is more but let's watch & see which countries strike
Israel 1st. These mentioned or will it be Russia/Iran or none of the above.

I have been doing a bunch of digging and I have a long reply already to copy and paste but I don't think it would be correct to post it on the blog. Go to www.anywho.com and enter in Life Covenant Church, OH in the business search space. Now paying attention to the change in the name, notice that there are two listings; one in West Chester, OH and one in Middletown, OH. Notice that both phone numbers are the same. Now do a reverse check on the number and pay attention to the name it is listed under. While on that reverse lookup function, click on map and directions, then on the map click on "Bird's Eye view" and zoom in to behold what the address has the reference to. An apartment complex. Then do the same for the two church listings back on the page with the 2 listings. The one in Middletown doesn't have a map but there is an additional reference to an Oasis Church there in Middletown. I called the secretary of that church with the number that is listed and inquired about the Covenant Life Church which she has no knowledge of and believe me, she would have if it existed. She had heard of Mark Arnold and that he was a member of the Assembly of God churches somewhere in the area. But she didn't know him and when I asked how big Middletown was she said, real small. The only way she wouldn't know him is if he had just moved in to the area but they have contact with all of the churches in the area.

Seems no one can verify any of the necessary info he has given so far but there are a lot of people out there getting really suspicious of the man and his story. That is a crying shame because it is just another incidence of Chrisitians being hood winked.

My nice word for the whole episode: leave it to God Jim. YOu know that and everyone else will sooner or later. God doesn't need us to tell Sarah Palin that she has an assignment for this period of history and we all know that God is able to bring her and us into just exactly what we are heading for. But brother and all of the rest of you, don't let bitterness or anger get into your heart. If you do, the devil will gain a foot hold in your inner most being and you don't want that in any way, shape or form.

Rather-let's put the fire of the fear of God upon this pseudo-messenger!

(Just Kidding)

Oh we have to be so careful with it all. Like Grany says we can't let the situation take hold of us.
And-we better be absolutely sure he's not one of God's messengers or else we are in trouble from the Almighty God who we do fear.

But I'm with you Jim. If I see a false messenger-warn others.

I prayed about it last night & didn't receive a direct response but I did wake up to read your emails.

It's always just a matter of time before the true nature of these situations are exposed for what they are.

All this election craze is nuts! And our future in the US? UGGGGG.

Israelstine Blog The comments here were really good on the prospect of Psalm 83 happening 1st before Gog/Magog.

Kindly Salus says, “the reason the experts apparently overlooked this paramount prophecy is that Psalm 83 is formatted as a petition only”. He says that “unlike prophecies like the Ezekiel 38 & 39 invasion of Israel, whereby all the event details are given from start to finish, the Psalm 83 prophecy requires a diligent time consuming research throughout the entirety of the Old and New Testaments”.

Jenny, it has been on my mind for a few days to comment on your first post in this section.

I don't believe Obama is the anti-christ, but I believe what we're seeing is what will be happening on a world-wide scale when the AC is revealed. In fact, I think we can expect to see more of this kind of thinking and this kind of behavior in the future.

Having been an unbeliever most of my life, I know what it's like to be spiritually hungry. To want meaning and purpose in life. To want justice and fairness. Too few people understand that Christianity is about relationship, not religion. And without that relationship, people are like those who are starving to death. And when you're in that condition, you'll eat anything.

Remember the prodigal son? He ended up with the pigs. I think Jesus deliberately used pigs as an example because Jews are forbidden from eating pork, and ending up with the pigs would have underscored the desperate situation of the son.

All of Obama's radical associations, his former church, his lack of experience and accomplishments don't mean a thing to people who can see him only in the way we see Christ. They're desperate and spiritually starving, and will "eat" anything.

Angie said...

Marge,

What you said hits the nail on the head and is the "reader's digest" version of what's going on.

My daily reading right now is in Jeremiah. In today's reading, King Neb. has conquered and destroyed Judah. The remanant have come to Jeremiah asking him to pray to God for him and tell them what to do. They say that they will do whatever he tells them.

But they have no intention of doing His will if it contradicts what they've already decided to do. Through Jerermiah, God tells them to remain in the land and He will protect them. But they go to Egypt as they'd intended to from the beginning, and God tells them he will destroy them from the least to the greatest.

In this country, many know the truth, but turn from it and teach others to turn from it, too. God doesn't need to remove His protection from this country because the blind teachers will slowly destroy the country in their foolish attempt to achieve utopia. But we know there will be a day when God does remove His hand from not just this country, but the whole world. And that should frighten people. I know it frightens me, even though I won't be here when it happens.

I will be glad if Obama is defeated, although I think there will be a part of me that's disappointed because I think his election would mean that the rapture is coming very soon.

Hi Angie, great seeing you here. In fact, I have missed you greatly and have had you on my heart for quite sometime now. Is everything going great with you? I Certainly pray so.

I agree with you about the elections and Obama. Whether he wins or not, the Presidency is the office and we are instructed to pray for the leaders of this country no matter what party they belong to. It is a little harder to do for some people though and I have to remember fresh everyday, it is easy to love the lovely and the world does. However, the blessings come from loving and praying and upholding those who are just a little bit harder to take.

Funny thing, the other night when Bill Clinton was on with David Letterman, I found out that I really don't dislike him anymore. It was a big relief and one that I have really prayed about. Is it my imagination that the choices just seem a little bit harder to digest at this time?

Keep on praying and believing because you know and I know that the devil is a liar and seems this election has sure had its' share of that going on.

Dear Newsmax Reader:

I have some more incredible news today.

The latest Investor's Business Daily tracking poll shows Obama leading McCain by just 1 point. That's a statistical dead heat!

This poll now backs up the AP Poll just out that shows McCain behind Obama also by 1 point -- essentially tied

You won't hear about these polls headlined by MSNBC and the liberal media.

The IBD poll shows that McCain has cut into Obama's lead for a second day.

According to IBD: "The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deficit to a 9-point lead among Catholics."

We can win this one!

Our special ad campaign on Obama's plan for giving driver's licenses, Social Security benefits and Medicaid to 12 million illegal aliens hits home with these key swing voters who will decide the election.

If you haven't seen our new ads, check them out at our website www.GOPtrust.com or Go Here Now.

Lisa, I am not a Kim Clement supporter and you can save yourself a lot of wasted energy trying to bait me over him. Like many other people who take the scriptures seriously, I don't buy into chasing prophecy and teachers when there is all I can fill my heart and mind with in the bible.

My advice to you still stands: if you want to know for certainty what he believes, ASK HIM! I would like to suggest a book for you to read that you might get a lot out of. With all of your nervous energy you could get it read in a couple of weeks. It is "Spiritual Man" by Watchman Nee. You can research it on the internet but I think you would find it very interesting.

Shalom, all! I would like your prayers for someone over at Catholic Answers Forum who is experiencing the effects of standing for Christ. A relative started emailing her with pro-Obama material. She stood her ground against the relative saying that she could not support Obama because of his support for abortion. In the end, the relative told her not to bother emailing anymore; her emails would just be deleted.

The Gospel reading for this morning was Jesus saying that He did not come to bring peace, but that families would be divided on His account. I think we're seeing the beginning of just this.

And Grany, you wrote:

According to IBD: "The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deficit to a 9-point lead among Catholics."

I can tell you that 9-point lead is because the bishops have started declaring that Catholics cannot support abortion and cannot support politicians who support abortion. The battle lines have been drawn, and I think no matter how the election turns out someone somewhere is going to raise a stink about priests and ministers telling people who they should vote for, separation of Church and State, and why should these immoral organizations get tax breaks anyway.

Hi All,

Jeri from SA your family is definatly being prayed for in our house. What a load to carry.

Angie,

I agree that B.O. is not the AC. However, a pre-curser to the real thing he could be. That or a pawn to lead us(the USA) to a one world government. I just know that when he was in Germany giving his speech over this past summer or standing in front of Greek columns accepting the dem. g.o.p. it gave me a sick feeling. I felt like this is how the real AC will set up the world stage and be so easily accepted.

I agree that desperate people will accept desperate measures when they are in a panic and can be easily decieved. If your not standing on the rock of Jesus and His salvation that shifting sand becomes quick sand pretty darn quick!

I agreed with Late Night Lisa when she said not only do we need to wear our spiritual armor but know its power and how to use it.

I think as watchers on the wall, we may very well be the first line of God's army to sound the alarm and stand firm. I'm not trying to freak anyone out or scare you but remember God doesn't always call the equiped - He equipes those He calls. So keep studing and reading your Bibles. God will call to your mind the perfect scripture you need when you need it.....even if you weren't thinking anywhere in that Biblical neighborhood. I love that about Him. His word never retuns to you void.

Late Night Lisa I enjoyed the article you posted on the rapture.

I found some interesting info. on the Shofar. Apparently there are two different types of blows/sounds for different celebrations. I found it in The Jerusalem Post Newspaper. I will try to locate and post later. It was very cool. Some or most of you may know about it already.

Have a blessed Friday.

Marge, Mac, Grany- good to see y'all too! Thanks!

LateNightLisa - No, I'm not an attorney, but I do work in the law, on the enforcement end rather than litigation, though. The guy in the picture is Bruce Campbell (actor) from a campy movie Army of Darkness. It basically makes fun of B-movie horror flicks. Pretty funny stuff.

Just my two cents...

Obam-bam scares the heck out of me. I do not think he is the AC, buthis attitudes and desires will, IMO, help set the stage and push the world in that direction. While the reasons I can think of not to like him or want his as president of the Rotary club much less the US are myriad, expansion of government is up there in the top ten. I work for the fed govt. The average worker bee is a good person who works hard to do their job, but the higher you get the more self-serving and illogical things become. The vast majority of the folks running this circus are the clowns. I wouldn't trust most of them to carry a bucket of water, so I sure don't want them in charge of more. I'm not a huge fan of McCain either, but given the choices I have, it's not hard.

ADVENTURES in AFRICA
-by Andrew Strom.

How can I give you insight into what it is like here? I guess in some ways it is a bit like "camping" - wonderful company, but strange food and the toilet facilities don't bear mentioning! Today a goat wandered into the leaders 'conference as I was preaching - but it quickly saw that the gathering was aimed at "sheep only" - and so exited rapidly via the side door. But at that same meeting the pastors and leaders all got down on their knees and repented before God of preaching a "Mammon" gospel. Seems a small price to pay to see something like that, don't you think? God is truly on the move here, despite the heat and the dust. I got to meet the "king" of the town. (Every town seems to have one). He was a friendly God-fearing man - who gladly knelt down with us in his own throne-
room to pray to the "King of all kings" in Heavenly courts. Many Government officials are welcoming of the gospel here. Judging by the stares I get, you might think I was the first white man in this part of Africa since the time of Stanley and Livingstone! It is a town of some thousands, mostly living under rusty tin roofs that stretch into the distance. Every night the crowds troop in their hundreds up the hill for the Outreach. Speakers blare incomprehensible words and music - plus a jungle of rhythms that might make even Elvis Presley trip over his feet. The usual volume is what I call "constant distortion", but I seem to be the only one that notices. The unashamedly joyful dancing and singing quite simply puts us staid Westerners to shame.

There is a man up the power pole, seemingly patching our sparse lighting into the "main grid" with his bare fingers. Why he has not electrocuted himself and half the town I do not know - but I seem to be the only one showing the least bit of concern - so I get back to praying over what my message will be tonight. The lights flicker on -then off - then on. Our electrician friend reappears, looking (I must say) surprisingly well. Sometimes the lights go out for minute sat a time, and we end up preaching in the darkness by torch light under the stunning African stars. -Magic moments that are hard to describe. By the close of the evening, hundreds of these beautiful simple people will have repented deeply of their sins - all honor and praise to our glorious "Father of Lights”. I don't know if you can tell, but I love this place. I love this continent. I love these people. They have a simple trust and humility that the West has long ago forgotten. They have a genuine hunger for God and for His truth - and they will often walk miles in the heat to show it.So here I am in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Light years from the meltdowns of Wall
Street, far from the Madding crowd, simply bringing truth to these wonderful hungry people. Where else would I rather be? Perhaps as the West sinks slowly into her long slough of despond, it will be God-hungry places like Africa that will rise and shine. I can certainly see it. She has been in the dungeon for so long. But we have reached the hour when "many that are first shall be last, and many that are last shall be first." A radical shift is under way. I hope this paints a bit of a picture of the amazing setting I find myself in, my friends. Challenging but amazing. Thank you so much for your prayers. -Hugely appreciated and needed .All my love and blessings from Africa,

Andrew Strom.

Hi Lisa,

I just read that Andrew Strom article and loved it.

Several of us women in our neighborhood are spending time together to pray for our nation, the elections, the body of Christ, our community and families.

Thank you all for praying for my mom. I am going to worship the Lord, believe in His ability to work in her heart and surrender all of this to Him.

We are attempting to make plans to travel to my mom's within the next month and it seems like we just cannot get it coordinated. I would appreciate prayer that we could see God's plan and follow that alone.

Jeri,

I am praying for all of the challenges your are facing!

So many good articles and comments.

PS: Jennifer took Kaitlynn in to see the specialists on Wednesday and they are in awe of how well she is doing. She is lifting her head and has complete movement her arms and legs. They said that the "potential" was there for her to have alot of nerve damage and that is not what they are seeing! She is truly a miracle.

Grany,

You must have posted @ the same time I did because I wasn't "baiting" anything.

re: Kim Clement he popped up in my emails from a "Christian TV" ad & had not heard of him so I clicked on the link & there he was.

I thought perhaps someone here may know who he is but the more I kept reading about him the more he sounds like a false prophet. He claims to "speak words from the Lord" yet his prophesies are not coming to pass.

So rather than assume I'm purposely trying to find people to dig up dirt on with my "nervous energy" I would hope that you wouldn't think so little of me.

In our technological age of computer information-this is exactly how Christians can be led astray by false teachers. They pop up on their computer screen. If these sheep are not grounded in the Word this is a great method for leading them down a dead end path.

I have no problem writing to pastors myself & I often times do but since he has a "belief" section on his web site I don't feel the need to go further with it.

There is definitely a "Division" going on within the body of Christ & it's over those who primarily take the "literal interpretation" of the Word of God are labled as "fundamentalists."

That is something I personally feel a need to keep an eye on & don't want to cause division @ the cave over our feelings of a particular preacher.

This is worth noting-from the DBKA Review:

"McCain pledges Jerusalem will remain undivided capital of Israel
20 Oct.: The Republican candidate John McCain promised never to press Israel into concessions that endangered its security.

Lieberman later in the call noted the trip he and McCain had taken to the Jewish state in March, and stressed that McCain knows the “historic Jewish claim” to the city and “it’s clear he will not be included in efforts to divide Jerusalem.” Lieberman later emphasized McCain’s promise to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem “as soon as he becomes president.

The Jewish vote in battleground states, including Florida and Pennsylvania, is being courted aggressively by both presidential campaigns."

Mr. Hyde-thought of you for the name of the message-another from Andrew Strom this morning.

"PRAYING HYDE"
-Author Unknown.

Mr. Hyde had a wonderful experience to which he owed, I believe, his power with God, and therefore with man. He used to speak of it as one of the most direct and solemn lessons God ever taught him. He was up in the hills resting for a short time. He had been burdened about the spiritual conditions of a certain pastor, and he resolved to spend time in definite intercession for him. Entering into his "inner chamber" he began pouring out his heart to his Heavenly Father concerning that brother somewhat as follows: --"O God! Thou knowest that my brother now is" -- ("cold" he was going to say) when suddenly a hand seemed to be laid on his lips, and a voice said to him in stern reproach, "He that toucheth him, toucheth the apple of mine eye." A great horror came over him. He had been guilty before God of "accusing the brethren". [Rom 2:15] He felt rebuked and humbled before God. It was he himself who first needed putting right. He confessed this sin. (He claimed the precious blood of Christ that cleanseth from all sin!) [1 John 1:7] "Whatsoever things are lovely ... if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on 'these things.'" [Phil 4:8]

Then he cried out, "Father, show me what things are lovely and of good report in my brother's life." Like a flash he remembered how that brother had given up all for Christ, enduring much suffering from relations whom he had given up! He was reminded of his years of hard work, of the tact with which he managed his difficult congregation, of the many quarrels he had healed, of what a model husband he was.One thing after another rose up before him and so all his prayer season was spent in praise for his brother instead of in prayer. He could not recall a single petition, nothing but thanksgiving! God was opening his servant's eyes to the highest of ministries, that of praise.

Mark the result also on that brother's life: When Mr. Hyde went down to the plains, he found that just then the brother had received a great spiritual uplift. While he was praising, God was blessing. A wonderful Divine Law, the law of a Father’s love, While we bless God for any child of His, He delights to bless that one!

This was the secret of John Hyde`s power with God. He saw the good in God's little ones, and so was able to appreciate God's work of grace in that heart. Hence he supplied the heavenly atmosphere of praise in which God's love was free to work in all its fullness.

Lisa, no insult intended and if I have misread your comment about Kim Clement I apologize to you front and center. My advice is still, send him an email and ask him directly. I have done this in t he past he has responded to my inquiries with all the dignity and humbleness you could ever ask for. My caution to you is very simple, don't assume you know what they stand for until you have asked. As far as his prophecies not coming to past is not true. He clearly prewarned New Orleans of the coming storm, that is when he entered onto the World Stage and that is the vehicle that he has been carried to the place he now occupies. He used to be located in Texas and I know at one time he resided in Austin. Seems there were some things taking place in Dallas that were unfavorable but to me that is all gossip until proven accurate.

But the best source is still Kim himself.

The book I mentioned is a very good book Lisa and one that I have given away so many times it isn't even funny. I also like the one Donna referenced. There is a web site that you can read a lot of his writings and it is something I enjoy greatly.

Here is what Living Streams Ministry has to say about Watchman Nee:

Watchman Nee became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at the age of seventeen and began writing in the same year. Throughout the nearly thirty years of his ministry, Watchman Nee was clearly manifested as a unique gift from the Lord to His Body for His move in this age. In 1952 he was imprisoned for his faith; he remained in prison until his death in 1972. His words remain an abundant source of spiritual revelation and supply to Christians throughout the world.

I just received this from Debka File and wanted to share it with you all. This is a special Email service that I receive and is more detailed than the regular articles on their web site.

Message as follows:
No high priority for Palestinian issue if Obama elected US president

17 Oct.: The Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has decided not to list the Palestinian issue as a top priority if he wins the Nov. 4 election, DEBKAfile’s Washington exclusive sources reveal. The Middle East experts on his transition team advised him there was no hurry to address the issue in the early stages of his presidency because the Palestinian side cannot field any leaders authoritative enough to sign a peace accord. Their internal divisions are too profound for such a leader to emerge in the foreseeable future, said those advisers.

Their chief recommendation was to address with high urgency the issues of a nuclear Iran and relations with Syria, according to our sources.

While nothing is being said publicly, DEBKAfile’s sources report that some of Senator Obama’s advisers have remarked that Presidents Clinton and Bush discovered too late that over-involvement in the Palestinian-Israel dispute led nowhere and in fact caused them to neglect more consequential Middle East business. This misplaced concern hurt their reputation for effectiveness as international statesmen.

By setting the Palestinian question aside, the Democratic candidate if elected will terminate Bush’s 2007 Annapolis initiative and the subsequent on-and-off negotiations with Palestinian leaders conducted by outgoing prime minister Ehud Olmert and his would-be successor foreign minister Tzipi Livni. Those talks anyway achieved very little.
Russian missiles for Syria may be riposte for US FBX-T radar in Israel
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

18 Oct.: DEBKAfile’s military sources report that a large-scale arms deal for Syria, paid for by Iran, is in advanced negotiation in Moscow and Damascus. It includes fighter-bombers and an assortment of anti-air, anti-missile and anti-tank missiles, as well as substantial upgrades of Syria’s antiquated Russian tanks. Our sources disclose that the S-300PMU-2 and Iskander-E are still on the list under discussions.

In the broader context of its contest with Washington, the Kremlin regards the US radar system installed in the Negev to be an integral part of the US missile shield deployed in the face of Russian protests in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Positioning missile systems at Syrian ports would be part of Russia’s overall military payback for the array of US missile and radar installations in Europe and the Middle East. Therefore, DEBKAfile’s military sources report, the Kremlin may decide against handing the missiles to the Syrian army but prefer to install them to guard the Mediterranean naval bases Russians are building at the Syrian ports of Tartus and Latakia.

interesting article on Putin. I think the last little bit of it could however have prophetic implications

"If Putin keeps pursuing his statist approach, there will inevitably be more crises ahead, each one worse than the one before. Sooner or later his government will run out of reserves and there will be no more cash to keep the faulty ship afloat." EZ 38 seems to indicate that the countries that ask the Gog alliance "are you seeking to take plunder" think a need or want for money is at the root of that war especially since Israel in this passage is very well off. If Israel strikes oil and/or maintains it's wealth better than other nations at this time and Putin needs cash quick, and as one of the other articles I linked to suggests that Iran wants a preemptive strike-no one said that the motives for the war of Gog and Magog on all parties had to be the same.

Kathy, I've been reading at Fulfilled Prophecy for nearly 4 years. Holly and Constance Cumbey have their eyes on Javier Solana as the AC. Holly suspects that we may already be in Daniel’s 70th week because of the signing of the European Neighbourhood Policy. You’ve probably read Herb Peter’s Recommendation 666, which is very intriguing indeed. I don’t think Solana is the AC but he could well be one of the many people who facilitate his role. JS seems to like managing things in the background. I’ve heard him speak - he comes across as uninspiring and even dull. So far, he has had many talks with leaders and hasn’t been able to make any real political impact - the EU is still in disarray, there is no solution to the ME problem and Iran is still trying to go nuclear. As for Obama – had you asked me a few years ago how people could throw themselves at someone like BHO, I wouldn’t have been able to visualize it. People are giving him all kinds of Messianic labels…which he doesn’t seem to go out of his way to disavow. I don’t know who the AC but I do know that this world seems ready to accept one.

I agree, JIB.

Alf Cengia said...

PS I got quite excited when I first read Recommendation 666. I thought that this was it...countdown to the Lord's return. I still think that Herb may have been on the right track. There could be an empty chair there ready for the right backside to sit on it. Just not yet.

Mac and Jib, I saved a copy of 666 on my hard drive so I could have a permanent copy on hand if everything goes down.

Fulfilled Prophecy is one that I have visited ever since I started blogging and even though I don't always agree, I find their discussion very enlightening. I am being convinced more every day that this mess is coming to an end very soon because there are too many lost souls to bring in for us to be wallowing around in destruction like some have been talking about.

I don't know exactly how to put my fingers on what I feel in my Spiritman but it is very intense and even with the chaos of the market hitting us so very hard, I am not defeated. Perplexed but not destroyed; dismayed but not disheartened. I feel like I have been in that Babylonian Furnace right along with the Three Hebrew Children but I don't smell any smoke on me and I am not scorched in the least. In fact, all of this has brought a new seriousness to me and I have to say, my visual field is taking on a whole new clearness.

Thanks for the link, Kathy, Mac and Jib.

I get the sense that it is really important that we pray like never before for these elections. perhaps a national day of fasting is in order.

the story of Abraham and Lot has been replaying itself to me over the last couple of days-perhaps if we had the equivalent of 10 righteous in our country God would stay his hand of judgment at this time? I believe He would.

each of us knows a number of people-if we all emailed our acquaintances and they emailed theirs etc how many could we reach? if not fasting then concerted prayer in humble submission and true repentance before our Lord. I fear we don't have enough though, because many have bought into the world's system and values and don't even know they are astray or perhaps they don't care.

we can not and will not I think avoid what is coming for long.

God have mercy on us all!

Jib,

I think there are many more people who are praying and are willing to pray than you realize. I am definitely not a "prayer warrior." I wish I was more faithful and consistent and passionate about praying. But, I just returned from an hour of prayer at our church. Our church called a 24 hour prayer and people signed up to come to church and pray for one of those hours. I'm not a morning person but they needed men to take the early hours of the morning so I grabbed 3-4am.

The pastor who was on watch when I showed up said that he couldn't believe how many people had showed up throughout the night. God has put prayer on many people's hearts across American and His People are praying. We must continue to obey the call of the Holy Spirit to pray. There are so many needs and the Lord simply wants folks who will stand in the gap.

As for the election, I pray that the Lord gives us leaders who are godly. I don't want a President and Vice President who think it is OK to abort babies, who see nothing morally wrong with homosexuality, and who are blind when it comes to standing by Israel when the whole world seems to be against them.

Our job is obviously to pray and to repent and to seek His face and ask God to have mercy on us. I asked God for his grace and mercy for America. We deserve neither but He hears our prayers.

It will be hard, but I will trust the Lord even if Obama is elected. I will be sad, but I will trust His Sovereign hand. Jesus has built His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it! Our battle is a spiritual battle. God can raise up kings and he can bring them down as well. Our faith is in God, not in $ or military strength or politics.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. All other ground is sinking sand.

Wow, good batch of posts there. That'll get my day off to a good start.

The comments about the ecomony and the elections remind me of a verse in Habakkuk. Our pastor read it recently and calls it the 'defiant Nevertheless.'

"Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the
vines.
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the

yet I wil rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my

Jib,

It seems that the Lord as set prayer in the hearts of many pastors for the US.

@ the Church in SD-they have been having prayer meetings for our Country for some time. Probably because California usually has the unfortunate opportunity to experience outright sin & rebellion at a very high level-then spreads it across the country. Such as gay marriage. The other states look to see what CA can get away with-then follow suit.
(For the Christians in CA-it's rough to be in the middle of so much spiritual turmoil.)

Just the other day I sent an email to the SD mayor because a Christian friend of mine is very politically aware of what's going on (she worked as an attorney and now is a stay @ home mom w/3 kids) informed us that the City of San Diego (without any polling mind you) is representing us as voting AGAINST Prop 8-which would repeal the Gay Marriage act.

(So basically they are saying San Diego supports Gay Marriage w/o the vote or polling if it's citizens.)

Here in TN they started this past month to have a prayer meeting every Wednesday for our nation.

The Baptist Church down the street-many are involved in a nationally organized prayer event for the US.

So-from what I can tell it seems YHWH has put prayer for our nation on His children's hearts especially @ this time.

I'll join in if you want to organize a "cave" prayer meeting.

I'm impressed-the 3am slot. wow. not sure I could do it unless I was already up which happens frequently.

Habakkuk-seriously impressed now-I've read much of the OT but I think that is probably the one book I haven't read much of, at least I don't remember reading it. I shall have to remedy that. I really don't want to meet the man and have to admit I never read his book. ha.

I had thought that when GWB ran the first time our culture was so bad that if he didn't get elected we'd never have another person of The faith in office again. I think this election is far more critical than that. As Mac said-the GWB elections mostly affected the USA but these elections look more like they will affect the world!

I guess I don't see as much outward concern in my community and really didn't see that much quite frankly when visiting my folks and in laws. it is good to know that it is on the hearts of some around the country that we need to be in intensive prayer about this.

Eyeing Obama Administration, Defense Sec'y stops talking about "Islamist" terrorism

Jim C.

Another one if you have not read you might be interested in:
Symposium: The Pope and Islam

The way both Iran & Russia are spouting off it appears as if Ezekiel 38/39 would occur 1st. From what we "see" it certainly looks like it but I wonder if we are in for a big surprise?

The one thing that does make a good point w/the Psalm 83 occurring before Ezekiel is that Israel would have claimed much land back & taken great spoil.

This would be a big blow to Islam & a great "hook" for Russia & Iran to then attack. Israel would actually live securely because the immediate surrounding threats would have been conquered possibly including Damascus. The Palestinians would almost cease to exist.

Israel's exceeding great army would be used by God in this war. Islam would be flying high @ this point-like on "wings of eagles" to be crushed & brought down low by God. Are we not witnessing them getting more prideful and "high" @ the moment?

In the Ezekiel 38/39 war it is an apparent supernatural force which intervenes to save Israel.

This would show Israel that God has intervened directly in their affairs which would inspire them to return back to the Mosaic Law & temple sacrifices.

(Of course they already "plan" to do this-somehow. At the present time they are always kicked off the temple mount because of the Arabs. So somehow-these Arabs must go or be humbled by defeat. Psalm 83 would probably be enough to accomplish the Temple Mount plan as well.)

The Isralestine author feels Ezekiel 38/39 would be on the heels of Psalm 83. Not too much time would go by before Russia/Iran would attack. At some point in all of the the "Church" would be taken up & the beginning of Daniels 70 weeks would occur.

**All of this talk of Islamic defeat surely rubs the theory of Joel Richardson the wrong way. It would blow his entire domination by Islam tribulation scenario. (That's probably why those w/this thought pattern want to cram all these prophesies into Revelation.)

When I was talking to my Christian friend (w/the three kids) about Islam & such she had also mentioned Solana & a group of people keeping their eyes on what he's doing.

If Islam is brought low by God-this will certainly give the "Roman Empire" its stage to rise back into the dominant role & will not have to share the world focus like they do @ this point w/Islam.

Many European countries seem to be taken over by Islam @ this point w/no end in sight. Maybe that's why they think the Christians who still see a Eupopean role in end time events are "stuck" in the prophetic theories of old & are not "up to date" so to speak.

If Islam does indeed get the blow from God from either or both of these prophesies-The end time Islamic domination role types may change their tune.

I think it is the one tangible lead re: the antichrist that so far has any merit.

I had to share this one w/you. I would have looked @ that bartender & thought "what's the point?.

by Os Hillman
10-17-2008

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Rom 12:1-2).

A cab driver in the Philippines became radically saved. He was taught that he now had the power of God in his life to transform his community. Because he had not had any prior religious training to the contrary, he took a literal approach to believing what the Bible says about prayer and miracles.

He decided that the best mission field for him was the local bar in his neighborhood. So he began to visit this bar to find the most qualified sinner he could find in order to minister to him. He met the bartender and determined that he was a great prospect because he was also a gay drug addict and a pimp to 65 prostitutes. The cab driver visited the bar regularly and got to know the bartender while drinking his "usual" Coke. Eventually, the Lord used the cab driver to bring this man to Christ.

The power of God moved greatly in the bartender, and he was delivered from his homosexual lifestyle. He began to change his life and share Jesus with the prostitutes. All 65 of them became Christians, and they began meeting in the bar for Bible study.

Soon, the owner of the bar began to notice the change in these people, and he also was saved. The bar became a church, and the group started 10 cell group churches in the neighborhood. Now that is a miraculous transformation!

No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we should always remain aware that God wants to intervene. He desires a moment-by-moment relationship with us, and He wants to demonstrate His loving power to others through us. We can approach God about any situation, for there is nothing that is too small or too great for Him.*

I was so struck by the scripture that talked about no matter how barren things looked, no matter what was happening all around him, that he would be JOYFUL in the Lord. The Lord would give him feet to run also and would be his strength and salvation.

We are the righteousness in Christ Jesus and when we pray in His name, God hears us. Now, the most important part of that prayer life is repentance, then praise and worship, then petitions. God desires our fellowship and he loves our Praise and worship. Somehow or other, we get right to the nitty gritty of of Daddy Do but I got reminded yesterday that he already knows our needs and the situation that is going on right at the moment and what is to follow. He wants us to remind him and bring up before Him, His Word. That is why he said that His Word would continually be in our mouth. Just let it pass right on out your lips and start in adoring Him because He alone is worthy of our adoration.

Not trying to dictate just building up your most precious faith in God and His Word.

Grany,
I'm still here :)

I remember that Kenneth E. Hagin said, the highest form of prayer, is praise. And there are many forms of prayer. Such as petition, intercession, supplication, the prayer of agreement, binding and loosing, the prayer of faith, and such. Kenneth E. Hagin, likened prayer to sports. You don't play football with baseball rules. Which accounts for some confusion with prayer. Anyhow, just thought it was a good time to comment on prayer :)

Anonymous,
Good information about Randall Terry. I haven't heard anything about him in a long time.
Why don't you join us, on a regular basis? (comments)

Everyone,
I was watching John Hagee the other day, at my son's house. And I liked what he said, about the upcoming elections. He said, "to vote the Bible." It's something that every born again Christian should do, I know. But according to the Polls (if you can beleive a lot of them) some born again Christians "appear" pretty confused. It's important who you take a stand with, IMO. This is O.T., but it makes a person consider which Leader to follow. Consider Korah. You'll find the story of Korah, and his followers, coming against Moses, in the book of Numbers, Chaper 16. Something to think about, if anyone is still thinking about who to stand with, in the way of voting. Because when you vote for that person, you are (basically) saying, I agree with their policies. Which include abortion, gay marraige, appointment of any upcoming Supreme Court Judges, etc. Anyhow, just a thought, or two, thrown in to consider.

Have a wonderful weekend, and keep looking up!

I had to come back, before jumping Off Line. Just so noone takes my comments wrong, concerning Korah :)

My "bottom line" was only in connection to where you stand, according to Bible morals. Nothing less, nothing more. Other than, I do believe that the Lord, holds us accountable for our actions/deeds done in the flesh.

Okay, now I won't come back, later today, and have someone think that if they don't vote for Bible morals, the ground is going to swallow them up. (smile) I only used it as an illustration.

Enjoy the day!
And keep in a spirit of prayer.

Marge,

You mean Gulp!? That is a good start on Prayer Marge, please continue.

The crowd of Korah came against Moses and the Most High God, said, stand back and watch what I do to those who touch my anointed and do my prophets harm. Now that isn't a direct comment but that is what Korah and his crowd were dong. Then Korah and those who stood with him, were swallowed up by the earth to be remembered no more. Good example Marge, Good!

Also, in Chapter 16: 5 Then he (Moses) said to Korah and his followers, “Tomorrow morning the Lord will show us who belongs to him and who is holy. The Lord will allow only those whom he selects to enter his own presence. 6 Korah, you and all your followers must prepare your incense burners. 7 Light fires in them tomorrow, and burn incense before the Lord. Then we will see whom the Lord chooses as his holy one. You Levites are the ones who have gone too far!”

Now, me thinks, that could be the earthquake scene pure and simple. Harold, do you care to comment on it? Man deceives and God delivers.

Wake up Call for all of the troops!
EXCLUSIVE REPORT
Syrian Troops Enclose Lebanon, Rice Contacts Hamas

From DEBKA-Net-Weekly updated by DEBKAfile

October 25, 2008
As part of the incipient thaw in US relations with Damascus, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has relayed a friendly message to Hamas political leader Khalid Meshaal through Syrian foreign minister Walid Muallem’s aides.

The message, described by Moussa Abu Marzouk, one of the heads of Hamas’ Damascus headquarters, as a “verbal communication.” was received as four Syrian divisions completed their deployment on Lebanon’s borders last week (see exclusive map). In the message, Rice praised the Palestinian terrorist group for halting its missile fire into Israel.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly 369 of Oct. 24 exposed the complete deployment - from the Syrian 4th Division along Lebanon’s northern border and the 10th, 12th and 14th Divisions on Lebanon’s eastern frontier opposite the Hermil mountains and the Beqaa Valley, and down to the Hermon Mountains facing South Lebanon and northern Israel.

Neither the Americans nor the Israelis had expected Damascus to round off this troop concentration so fast. It was taken for granted that Damascus would wait to the spring of 2009, after the rainy season. However, president Bashar Assad saw two advantages in going ahead before the Nov. 4 US presidential election:

First, Israel would be unlikely to strike in the days leading up to the US election and, second, Damascus would present the new man in the White House with a fait accompli.

The first concentration of 6-8,000 Syrian troops was disclosed in DEBKA-Net-Weekly 367 on Oct. 3 when two Syrian commando brigades of the 4th Mechanized Division took up positions along 2 km of the El Kebir River which marks that sector of the border - opposite northern Lebanon and its largest town of Tripoli.

Then, last week, Damascus consigned the 12th Mechanized Division to the border of the Lebanese Beqaa Valley and its central mountains, so completing the encirclement.

Syrian military positions now range from points opposite the northern Lebanese town of Al Qaa on Mt. Hermil to points further south up to the Massena border crossing 50 km north of Beirut. The Syrian 4th and 12th Divisions abut on the 10th Division ranged opposite South Lebanon and the disputed Shebaa Farms enclave. The military chain continues with the 14th commando division positioned on the Syrian slopes of Mt Hermon opposite Israeli military positions.

Not only are Lebanon’s borders enclosed, but Syria, in conjunction with Iran, has also established a military presence inside Lebanon. In the summer, they emplaced radar stations on the tall Lebanese peaks of Mt. Sannine and Barukh of the central mountain range, giving them a detailed view of every move on Lebanese territory, in northern Israel and on the eastern Mediterranean.

All these movements were performed with a nod and a wink from Washington.

Three years after forcing Syria to quit Lebanon, the Bush administration was ready to okay Syria’s massed troop concentration on Lebanese borders. Permission was granted in an apparently cursory meeting between Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Syrian foreign minister Walid Muallem on Sept. 27 at UN Center in New York.

Damascus counted this as validation of its drive for restored domination of Lebanon by dint of its military.

Washington also satisfied itself that the deal promised major profits:

1. The Assad government sounded willing for the first time to obstruct Hizballah and hold up its supplies of military hardware.

Syria’s 4th and 12 Divisions are in position for blocking Hizballah’s primary smuggling routes.

2. It was inferred that Damascus was at last beginning, albeit two years late, to honor UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which banned arms supplies to Hizballah as part of the ceasefire which ended the Israel-Lebanon war. Syria and Iran mocked that resolution for two years by smuggling weapons in bulk to the Shiite terrorists.

3. Damascus’ implied willingness to go against Hizballah was taken by Washington as a measure of Assad’s readiness to stand up to Iran at present - and break away in the future.

4. And might not that willingness be extended to embrace Tehran’s other terrorist protégés, the Palestinian Hamas and Jihad Islami, both of whose headquarters have long been welcome in Damascus?

DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s Middle East sources stressed that, for the time being, all these exciting benefits are no more than fond hopes, which the Bush administration cannot hope to see fully developed in the short months remaining of its term - if at all. Bashar Assad’s relations with the United States are littered with a trail of broken promises, as Rice’s predecessor, Colin Powell, can affirm.

Nevertheless, the secretary of state keeps pushing on.

DEBKAfile’s Washington and Middle East sources reveal that the message she addressed to Hamas’ political chief Khaled Meshaal in Damascus was the first communication ever from a senior US official to the Palestinian fundamentalists, which Washington lists as a terrorist group. Rice even complimented Hamas for halting its missile and rocket fire into Israel and voiced the hope that Palestinian organization would go further and join Palestinian-Israeli diplomacy.

After Moussa Abu Marzouk on Oct. 22, spilled the beans of what he called American recognition of his organization, the state department issued a hurried denial and set up an interview for Assistant Secretary of State David Welch with the London-based Saudi paper Shawq al Awsat.

The interviewer, Manal Lutfi, pushed hard for an admission of the US-Syrian détente, citing examples. But Welch stuck to his guns: “…I say there is no revision of our policies towards Syria.”

Formally speaking, he was truthful. However, the groundwork has certainly been laid for the major revision which he denied. Syrian troops have been allowed to openly close in on Lebanon without a demurral from the Bush administration. Washington has been caught out communicating with Bashar Assad’s extremist Palestinian guest, Hamas, for the first time.

The outcome of these preliminaries - milestone in themselves – will no doubt come to light only when a new president sits in the White House and Israel has a new government after a general election early next year.

Grany,
Thanks for sharing. We do need to pray, don't we?

Me, teach on anything, much less prayer? (big smile) Surely, you jest.

However, I would encourage anyone, and everyone, to get the Bible Prayer Study Course, by Kenneth E. Hagin. It's absoltely excellent! He explains why you don't "lump" all prayer together. And why, if you do lump all prayer into one category, you aren't seeing answers to some prayers.

Another illustration :) Noone sets out a shingle, of Doctor, or of a Dentist, without first going to school, and learning how to become that professional. (Or at least, I'd hope most Doctors/Dentists do that, right?) So, why would a Christian believe they don't need to learn to study the Scriptures, to find out what God expects, in prayer, etc.? Equally as silly. If you don't want to get that Study guide, go to the Bible, and do a study on prayer, for yourself :)

Enjoy the day!

Blessings and honor to our God!

A few good articles on the Trumpet lately. I had no idea about the background of "Ayres" .

Obama has worked closely on a consistent level over the years with Bill Ayers, who was part of this group that wanted to literally kill millions of Americans and support a communist invasion and takeover of the US, but that is of no real concern to the American people– including a large number of Christians.

Hi, this is A Child of the King.

Jib, you said,

wow, the entire book (I just skimmed it) is about the tribulation or at least the end times-Habakkuk that is. I shall have to take more time and go through it. interesting

This is all new to me. I have never seen, as yet, any teacher that has expressed an opinion that Habakkuk is speaking of the end times or the tribulation.

If you have time and wouldn't mind, I sure would appreciate being given your reasoning and the verses that have influenced your reasoning.

A Child of the King

Keep on keeping on!

Debka File has really been busy today and I am wondering what is going on that is exciting the press so greatly. Normally Saturday is a very slow day and things seem to be picking up in speed. I will just say, rather than post the articles here and take up space, check out debka.com
