Bound By The Chain of Witnesses

A Christian prisoner in Cuba was asked to sign a statement containing charges against fellow Christians that would lead to their arrest. He said: "The chain keeps me from signing this."

The Communist officer protested, "But you are not in chains!"

"I am," said the Christian. "I am bound by the chain of witnesses who throughout the centuries gave their lives for Jesus Christ. I am a link in this chain. I will not break it."

Alesia, I will duke you with mine if you will duke me with yours. heheheheh

I get more opportunities to eat cheesecake doing this. But the one that I love the most is the Key West Cheesecake and I refuse to share it with anyone, not even my daughter. WHY? Because then I wouldn't have any special spot in providing a Secret recipe that I have made. When I leave this world, my son gets the recipe. Daughter got my Lazy Chocolate Pie and that should be enough to last for awhile, at least until she can talk my son out of his "Big Momma Secret". But maybe Mr. Hyde is not so much interested in the cheesecake as he is in the maker of the cheesecake, eh?

I'm sorry you have had all of those computer problems and my heart really goes out to you over the loss of your precious kitty kat. I know I am not looking forward to our Queen Bee and it really gets to me when she gets sick.

All of you, where ever you are, have a wonderful Glorious day and

Here is another little snippet on end time deception from Jan Markell.

The Devil’s Delight, Deceiving the Church
By Jan Markell
I received an interesting e-mail today from a pastor and would like to build on it. The e-mail reads, "Your ministry has been a wealth of information during my sermon series preparation on the 'death of discernment.' There is so much to cover. I liken it to our recent trip to New York. We saw 50 major landmarks and we only scratched the surface."

The pastor continues, "There is no way I can cover all the deception issues in a sermon series in less than three years. What would you consider to be the top ten issues on this topic?"

It will take him three years! Is it really that bad? It may be. And I'm glad I can add to a good pastor's sermon material!

The Bible prophesies that the church of the last days will be characterized by apostasy. Paul said that the Antichrist will not be revealed until "the apostasy comes first" (II Thess. 2:3). Jesus prophesied that "many will fall away" and "most people's love will grow cold" (Matthew 24:10, 12).

Dr. David Reagan, one of our "Understanding the Times 2008" speakers, asks, "How have we reached this crisis point in the church? It is rooted in the German School of Higher Criticism which invaded this country big-time in the 1920s. According to the 'scientific approach' of this school of skeptics, the Bible is not the revealed Word of God. Rather, it is man's search for God, and therefore it is filled with myth, legend, and superstition.

"Today this viewpoint dominates the seminaries in America. The Bible is studied not to be believed and obeyed but to be analyzed, dissected, and criticized. The result is that the Scriptures have lost their authority."

The pastor who e-mailed me asked for the top ten areas of deception. The possibilities are legion. When we have voices out there like Brian McLaren stating that "everything must change" -- in his book by that title -- the old ways of doing church are mocked along with sound theology. The invasion of these post-moderns is alarming.

Writer and researcher Berit Kjos says, "Infiltration and deception have been tools of conspirators through the ages, and the church has been a primary target! After all, God warns us that 'the whole world is under the sway of the evil one' (I John 5:19). One of his most effective schemes is to redefine God's Word and divert Christians from His unchanging truth to man's shifting ideals."

The world and church have let Oprah Winfrey shape the culture with her me-centered gospel. Her "New Age" terminology is viewed by many believers as "Christian." Throw in Emergent theology and its post-modern message that emphasizes feelings over doctrine. Add to the mix the push for unity today and we have a freight train on the move and out of control. The conclusion is that "felt needs" trump everything. Oh, and don't forget the "seeker movement" message of "gospel lite" so that Christians today can hardly find the true gospel anywhere.

Biblical Christianity never became outdated even if Emergent leader Brian McLaren implies that it has. Biblical truth will continue to be scorned by those who consider themselves to be intellectual (I Cor. 1:20), and it will likely be rejected by those who seek the praise of man over the praise of God (John 12:42,43). But the Spirit of God is always at work in the hearts of men, giving life to human spirits by the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead (Ephesians 1:19).

Will you contend for the faith today as we are asked to do in Jude 3? It will cost you something. You will lose loved ones. You will be tempted to cave in and keep quiet. You will feel very alone. I know these things because endless e-mails from the four corners of the earth come into our office stating this is the case. If everyone who felt alone would get together, I promise you we wouldn't feel alone! We would fill many football stadiums.

The pastor mentioned above closed off with a good word: "Don't spend too much time focusing on the deception but rather, on the truth." May I add, don't stop being a "watchman" or "contender for the faith?"

So don't despair and do plan on a great reward for standing up for truth rather than the razzle-dazzle gimmicks that tell us we can get closer to God if we walk the labyrinth or practice centering prayer. He's living inside of us. How much closer can He be to us than living within us?

Awaiting His return,
Jan Markell, Olive Tree Ministries

GT

wow that last by Jan Markell was excellent. I shall be saving that one!

Great Grany 5 said...

GT, thanks for sharing that and I agree with Jib about saving it for the reminder and the confirmation it has for me, as a born again believer in Jesus Christ.

We have had it too easy in this country for so many years that when we face adversity we tend to want to mean mouth it instead of seeking God's wisdom and direction. I shudder to think of what will happen when we really do face the dangers that are out there in the rest of the world. My heart just has a hard time accepting the new ideology of Faith and relationships that God desires. We are more prone than ever before to chase after feelings, just as Jan's message stated. But I can tell you that unchecked and untested Feelings can and will get you into a big mess. Feelings is the main trigger to most marriages that end up in divorce or worse. Feelings are the source of running after spiritual gratification such as never before seen and also, the very reason that Pride comes in and makes its' home in our hearts. Pride comes before a fall and the lack of discernment by the believer has allowed the Rick Warren's of the world to march onto the world stage and proclaim that His is the Gospel Message when we all know that Jesus told his disciples that we would always have the poor among us. There are more important things than creature comfort and provisions. We should be caring more for their eternity than we are for their next meal. Meals are wonderful and needs should be met but not at the price of forfeiting our faith in God and proclaiming the Lordship of His Son, Jesus Christ.

I have been poor and I have abounded but my faith walk was what I survived on. Not my paycheck or my bank account. My relationship with God is based on my Faith in Him and Him alone. My bank account is of little importance once my eyes shut for the last time. What will I take to the Wedding Feast and what account will I have to give at the Judgment Seat of Christ?

As I read that pastor's letter to Jan, I almost wept. I have no desire to be spewed out of the mouth of Jesus Christ like the 7th church in the book of Revelation is going to be. No matter what denomination we belong to, we belong first to the Body of Christ and we have responsibilities to regain the territory that we have lost because of our indifference to the Word of God.

Love you all,
Grany

RUSSIA AND GEORGIA: THE REAL STORY

By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN

Meet Igor Sechin, nominally the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia. In fact, he is the dominant power in the Kremlin. In Russia, the speculation is over whether Putin is his puppet! According to top Kremlinologists, Sechin was calling the shots when Russia invaded Georgia.
Take a minute to look at Sechin's photo. It explains all you need to know about him!
Robert Amsterdam, an international lawyer who knows all about the inner workings in Moscow, calls the invasion, in part, "an effort to sidetrack Dmitry Medvedev," the newly elected Russian president who has focused on bringing to Russia the rule of law. Determined to show real power and to trivialize the legalisms of Medvedev, Sechin and Putin ignored the Russian president in invading their neighbor.
But Amsterdam makes a larger and more important point: The corporatist leadership of Russia, entirely dependent on oil and gas revenues for its economic viability, has an essential stake in promoting global instability. A stable world encourages a drop in oil prices.
It is no coincidence that Russia is at the core of the two major threats to world stability: Iran and the invasion of Georgia. Worried by a major drop in oil prices, creating severe economic problems for Russia, the Kremlin has a cosmic interest in promoting turbulence whenever and wherever it can.
Georgia represents the last pro-Western bridge to bring oil and gas from the central Asian former Soviet states to the west. Three times as much oil flows over rail tracks on the bridge near Gori which Russian aircraft destroyed as through pipelines from Russia.
Bush's response to the Georgia attack has been prompt and skillful. Introducing American troops into Georgia on a humanitarian mission makes it clear to Russia and to the Georgian people that the United States will not abandon its ally, but it does so in a way that deters further Russian moves.
But the key answer came not from the U.S. but from Poland which approved having a missile defense shield on its territory. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, elected on a platform of opposing deployment in Poland, quickly reversed field and saw the light when Russian troops began rolling into Georgia. Urgent western attention to the application of Ukraine for NATO membership will further underscore to Russia how short-sighted its invasion of Georgia really was. The backlash in Europe, particularly in Eastern Europe will prove to be far more devastating to Russia than Putin -- and Sechin -- may have anticipated.
For more information, go to www.robertamsterdam.com

This was very interesting and I don't recall having read about Sechin anywhere regarding the current Georgia/Ossetia conflict.

Hello Marge and everyone,

I'm here...and I check in often, several times a day. I haven't felt like entering the dialog, though I've been tempted, as I am recovering from surgery last Thursday - 8/14 (unexpected and unplanned 'hot' gallbladder). I'm doing well and working hard to hold down this sofa - doing a pretty good job of it with my laptop on my lap!

I've used this recovery time to read a lot - my Bible, a little book by Woodrow Kroll entitled "Places in the Bible" and several Christian magazines I receive in hardcopy. I've enjoyed reading various articles and studies from Ariel Ministries, Rapture Ready, Grace Through Faith, and several others...and I've kept up with all of you.

In addition, I've worked on my personal blog sites and on my church web site as well.

I find that I don't have the time to do much dialoging if I'm to get very much accomplished in my studying and my 'non-paying' jobs. I do appreciate each of you and your convictions, even if I don't always agree.

Blessings to all! (Mary)

P.S. I apologize for the previous two 'deletes' but I posted before I corrected my edits. (The business education teacher mode shines through from time to time.)

A bear, though, that wants to be piqued—in other words, to fill the gap left by U.S. and Western strategic weakness—is a different matter. A state-certified Russian “analyst” told Syrian television that “The …military assistance provided by Israel to Georgia in its war against Russia will affect…Russia’s attitude toward Arab states. Russia will reexamine its ties with Israel, and it is not unlikely that Moscow will now decide to increase its military assistance to Arab countries in conflict with Israel, including Syria.”

OK Marge, I will post the Donkey Story. I really did have to turn in early last night and just now getting back on the net.

"The
Pastor's Ass

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and It won.

The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.

The local paper read:

PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT.

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of Publicity that he ordered the pastor Not to enter the donkey in another race.

The next day, the local paper headline Read:

BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he Ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey.

The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a Nearby convent.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day:

NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to
get rid of the donkey, she sold it to a farmer for $10.

The next day the paper read:

NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild.

The next day the headlines read:

NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is .. .
Being concerned about public opinion can bring YOU much grief and misery . . Even shorten your life.

So be yourself and enjoy life.

You all do realize that ASS is the name given to the little colt that Jesus road into Jerusalem prior to his crucifixion, don't you.

Alesia, did I cause an anonymous mouse to inact once again. I really have no idea who or what was deleted but I really did have second thoughts and even a whole bunch of 3rd, 4th, etc. second thoughts about posting that one but Marge said do it and then the 2nd witness JIB said do it, so I dooed it!

For those who might have been offended by the little Donkey thing, I am sorry, please forgive me.

I read an article at a prophecy web site last night that has really given me pause to wonder something really serious. Men, and I mean mankind, writing books about subjects and topics that they really don't have a firm understanding of. I know that the practice of researching a subject is very popular among writers but it seems to me that writers who undertake the publishing of Prophecy material should have a very good and stable foundation before they start the manuscript. I can write about popping corn because I do it all of the time but to assume a position of learned interpreter for the hoped for readers seems to me to require a very sacred knowledge of Scripture.

Then I received an email from a very good friend that I have known in the Christian Education field for decades and they are saying the very same things. It seems that in order to trust what you are reading, you have to have a deep revelation from God as to the purpose and context of times, customs, history and current events.

I am concerned that there will be a lot of bickering in the Christian populance over what this one and that one have to say about Gog/Magog; Isaiah 17, Psalm 83, etc. People, I am not going to ride this horse to death but before you purchase that book with the titillating title, please do your homework and don't forget, make sure you invite the Author of those Holy scriptures into your study. The Holy Spirit will lead you in all of it if you will just submit your self to his leading and accept His word instead of your understanding.

If this fails and you just have to have that book, please make sure you keep the scriptures and toss out the manthink junk. Just because I think I would love a dress like Jennifer LOpez and would look great does not mean I WILL LOOK GREAT! It just means I would like to look like her only.

Maybe I am suffering from over exposure to the Obama/McCain circus but I am deeply concerned.

You all have a wonderful day (what's left of it)

[3] For when they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape. [4] But you, brothers, aren't in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. [5] You are all sons of light, and sons of the day. We don't belong to the night, nor to darkness."

That 4th verse tells us that we will know the time is ripe and the Lord's taking us out of here will be reverberating us into action. We are not in darkness but instead, live in the light of God's word.

Wake up children, the time is getting here very swiftly!

I have a new blog site that is authored by the man associated with Bible Prophecy in the News. Here is the link and be forewarned, this site will be discussing the Antichrist coming out of the Eastern Roman Empire instead of the traditional European Roman Empire.

Here is the link and you might want to put it in your favs or bookmarks list.
http://www.beastfromtheeast.org

Now, I will be truthful with you all, not until about last fall sometime, when Jim Carroll first mentioned the eastern foot of the idol that Daniel described did I even give thought to the possibility that the Antichrist could come out of that branch. Well, more and more information is being discussed and there are evidences that it might have a plausible argument.

I am not committing to the theory just examining it with scripture and doing a whole lot of digging. I was shocked to learn that John Walvoord felt that the Gog/Magog battle would happen after the rapture of the church. Seems like a lot of iron clad theory is flying out the windows and I am a little uncomfortable.

Anyway, the author of the blog is Rodrigo Silvo and this is just an excerpt from the site.

This web site is Rodrigo Silva's new project for the last days. Many Bible prophecy students and scholars have come to the realization that the Middle East, not the European Union will be the geographic location of the rise of the Antichrist. The traditional view teaches that the Antichrist will be of Roman (European) origin based on a few prophetic passages of the Bible. Our view examines not only passages in Daniel which at first glance appear to point to the Antichrist as a Roman, but passages in other prophets like Isaiah, Ezekiel and Micah where we find titles and attributes that point to a Middle Eastern, not a Roman Antichrist.
We have decided to gather written, audio and video information produced by different prophecy authors some of which are known as the world's foremost prophecy scholars and put them together in a single web site dedicated to show Christians and the unbelieving world how the Bible, history and current developments in the Middle East point to the fact that the Antichrist and his political kingdom will originate in the Middle East, not the European Union.
The Church for the past two Millennia has been looking and pointing others to the European Union as the fourth beast of Daniel 7 and the composite beast of Revelation 13, but as we dig deeper into the prophetic portions of the Bible, we find that the Middle East and Islam are the key to understanding the rise and dominion of the Antichrist and his political kingdom. Click ''About Us'' on the menu above to read more about the purpose of this web site. Our desire is to provide to our readers articles, audio and video teachings and the latest political developments in the Middle East which will bring God's Prophetic Word to a much clearer understanding from a fresh and Eastern mindset perspective.
Below are the latest MIddle East developments as they line up with God's prophetic word in these last days.

How about we make him welcome. I love the study of scripture and I have been digging into prophecy of the end times, it seems, since the very beginning of my new life event. Back when I was first saved in 1964 there were very few scholars who even considered delving into the vast amount of eschatology and now it is all over the place. Of course, we didn't have the Internet then either. I feel like shouting to the world at large that the devil is a liar and the internet was made for us to really increase our knowledge and understanding of God's Word. Well Glory!

I am going to retire for the evening so, you all behave yourselves and please, keep the light on at the cave, OK>

actually Grany I have to tell you that the only view I had ever heard of before with relation to Gog was that it happened AFTER the rapture. literally until I read the Left Behind series and started thinking and reading did I ever come to the conclusion that perhaps the order was reversed.

I also think that the white european male might be over rated as well since I think it depends on what the word "people" means-ethnic or nationality and I think a really good case can be made that it doesn't refer to the nationality of being Roman.

I don't however completely by into the whole Islam thing either.

Obama picks Biden for veep

Jim G. said...

Wow. News travels fast. It's already in his bio on Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden

On August 22, 2008, the Associated Press reported from an anonymous source that Biden has been selected by presumptive Democratic nominee for president Barack Obama to be his running mate as the Democratic nominee for Vice President of the United States.[1]

Jim G. said...

The funny thing is the AP article says:

The official who spoke did so on condition of anonymity, saying they did not want to pre-empt a text-message announcement the Obama campaign promised for Saturday morning.

What? As long as you spill the beans anonymously, then you haven't pre-empted the text-message announcement. That sounds like classic Bill Clinton like doublespeak.

Wilma,

I was one of those that had believed that the EU was the last kingdom described in Daniel. Then my Uncle sent me information that led me to a few websites. One was Walid Shoebat, who's name I've seen mentioned here a few times.

Alot of the information I've found supports Silva's ideas.

It's interesting when you compare our Messiah Jesus with the messiah of Islam. Jesus is described as their anti-christ and our description of anti-christ defines their messiah.

If anyone's interested I found a site that clearly compares the two.

Interesting list of names on the blog. I, like some others am here reading every day, and praying for needs, but seldom post any comments. I so enjoy the fellowship here, there is a genuine spirit of love in this group. I so look forward to meeting you all one day (soon I think!)

Keep posting all, you feed my spirit, and I know others too read but do not post.

Wilma, I agree, the Internet has been such a blessing! In the evening when my husband watches football, I sit with headphones on listening to Branon House, or Janet Folger, or any one of a number of teaching websites.

Anyway, just wanted to check in and say keep up the good work.

The more I read Joel Richardson's book about the Antichrist coming from Islam (can't remember what the name is and the book is way over there on the table), the more I'm convinced. However, I'm not convinced that Gog and the Antichrist is one and the same as he states. They come to different ends (Rev 19 and Ezekiel 39:11). Am I right?

A List of Who's Who at the Cave

The reason I actually made the list of bloggers was because I was trying to figure out who was who since we often refer to one another by first name rather than by blogger name. For example, I often will refer to "Kathy" rather than "overcomer" which works fine for people who already know that. But, it sometimes takes time to figure out who's who. Thus, I started to drop names into a spreadsheet for a list to keep myself straight. I didn't want to leave anyone out though. So, I decided to make a list of everyone who has posted! It was a cut and paste effort with a little help from Excel to sort and total.

Can anyone help me fill in the blanks? I know I could easily figure quite a few more out by looking through comments more carefully but why not ask for help?

The main problem I have with Islam as the one world religion is that leopards don't change their spots. The one world religion appears to my reading and a few of the prominent end times teachers to hold sway before the AC is indwelt by Satan and thus the first half of the trib time-Islam is pretty much an our way or get you head cut off religion and no one is cutting off peoples heads for not worshiping in the one world religion. Heads don't start rolling off peoples bodies until the 2nd half of the trib when the object of worship is now the AC, the one world religion is gone and the actual object of worship is Satan.

from Lori Campsmore:

Now, what if Islam infiltrates the EU and that superpower is taken over?

Then everyone would be right... but we'd be out of here by then I would think.

Here's an old article from 2004 about just that:

Outraged by the events of 9/11, Fallaci criticizes both Muslims (bent, according to her, on conquering the West and annihilating its culture) and Europeans (described as spoiled, hypocritical, and blind to the mortal threat represented by Islamic expansionism)

[Oriana] Fallaci's views as expressed in the Rage and the Pride caused an uproar in politically correct Europe, death threats and lawsuits included. Now, two years later, Fallaci has published a new book, entitled La Forza della Ragione (The Force of Reason), which continues the discourse she began in The Rage and the Pride.

As its title suggests, The Force of Reason is not dictated by the (sometimes excessive) fury that inspired The Rage and the Pride, but it gives a more accurate explanation of why Europe has decided not to defend its identity and to surrender to what she calls the "Islamic invasion." With the sarcasm and uniquely direct style that characterizes her work, Fallaci carefully examines the historic and political reasons that have led Europeans to vilify their own culture, consistently embrace anti-Americanism, and pander to every request from the increasingly powerful Muslim communities that populate the dying Old Continent. Her analysis does not leave much hope for the future of Europe, although she takes a far more optimistic position on her adoptive country, the United States (Fallaci currently lives in New York).

also...

In 1974, former Algerian President Houari Boumedienne said in a speech at the U.N.: "One day millions of men will leave the southern hemisphere to go to the northern hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory." In other words, says Fallaci, what Islamic armies have not been able to do with force in more than 1,000 years can be achieved in less than a century through high birth rates. She cites as evidence a 1975 meeting of Islamic countries in Lahore, in which they announced their project to transform the flow of Muslim immigrants in Europe in "demographic preponderance."

The "sons of Allah," as Fallaci calls them, do not make a secret of their plans. A Catholic bishop recounted that, during an interfaith meeting in Turkey, a respected Muslim cleric told the crowd: "Thanks to your democratic laws we will invade you. Thanks to our Islamic laws we will conquer you."

(Anne here. Fallaci is a bit of a strange bird. Even so, she makes some important points)

[She] describes herself as a "Christian atheist." While stating that she does not believe in God, she claims that the West cannot ignore its Christian origin and identity. Even if we deny God's existence, Fallaci says, Christianity has shaped the Western world. It defines "who we are, where we are coming from, and where we are going."

campsmore said...

That reminds me of a joke:

A middle aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.

While on the operating table she had a near death experience.

Seeing God She asked 'Is my time up?' God said, 'No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live'

Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a
Facelift, liposuction, and a tummy tuck. She even had someone come in and change her hair color.

Since she had so much more time to live, she figured she might as well make the most of it.

After her last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was killed by an ambulance.

Arriving in front of God, she demanded, 'I thought you said I had another 40 years? Why didn't you pull me from out of the path of the ambulance?'

God replied,'I didn't recognize you.'

campsmore said...

GT's comment reminded me of the joke, not Anne's lol

Anne, I had never heard of a Christian atheist before. I wonder if she's ever read that one day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord?

I had never read that site before. The quotes about birthing them in, should make every US citizen shudder and our politicians take notice.

My question is, how can one tell if an "ex-muslim" is really an ex-muslim when they are encouraged to lie to gain the approval of their enemy? I believe that Walid Shoebat is sincere based on his testimony and the fact that people are coming to Christ thru his testimony, but what if that person is a neighbor and still very secretive?

I guess this is further proof that we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to discern the truth.

Anne said...

This is from 1999 Middle East Quarterly and I think is the source of the quote in the article about Fallaci, "Thanks to your democratic laws we will invade you; thanks to our religious laws we will dominate you."

In a blunt statement that attracted some attention in Europe,1 Giuseppe Germano Bernardini, a 72-year-old Italian who is archbishop of Izmir, Turkey, wrote the Synod of European Bishops on October 13, 1999, that Muslims have a "clear program of expansion and re-conquest" of Europe. He then called on the pope to convene a special Vatican meeting to find a common strategy toward Muslims living in Christian countries. This statement raised eyebrows because it so starkly contradicts the official church position.—The Editors

The letter by Bernardini then follows.

Jim C, do you know if the "special Vatican meeting" ever happened?

Great Grany 5 said...

Boy JIM G. you really got us going with that list. Can you imagine, little Lisa is the most prolific poster. Who would believe it.

I have been wondering about 2 of our former members - Thuunda and Boroeagle. On several recent episodes during my prayer time, I have been suddenly impressed to pray for them. Not at the same time but never the less, to commit to interceding for them. When Thuunda first came up, it was major intercession and it didn't go away. It became very intense and came to the place that all I could do was groan for him. That's the time for Spiritual fighting. I would love to hear from both of them just so we know they are alright.

DONNA, I agree with you on Joe! I have some very personal reasons for it. If Obama is going to win the election, then I feel the addition of Biden is a very smart and wise decision. Wisdom and intelligence don't always go hand in hand as we all know. Who ever is elected, we need to become united behind them before all of this division destroys this country.

By the way, off of the political wagon, I agree about Islam being the religion of the AC. I don't buy it no matter who is trying to sell it. NO WAY! I have this gut feeling that when Isaiah 17 and EZ. 38 and 39 are completed the fervor of Islam will diminish, quickly. I truly do believe that We will see Isaiah 17 and not to far in the future. If we think Russia responded to South Ossetia quickly, we haven't seen anything yet.

I have been reading a set of Hebrew books lately that I would love to send everyone of you here. It is called "ARTSCROLL TANACH SERIES TEHILLIM" and it is a comprehensive discussion of all the Psalms. The description they put on it is "A new Translation with a commentary anthologized from Talmudic, Midrashic and Rabbinic sources". Then I visited a new blog/web site where they are discussing Psalm 83 and of course, it caused me to do some digging again. Old notes just didn't cut it so, being the creature I am, I got out the Tehillim and I want to tell you, the world is missing the point in all of this is true.

Listen to just a little bit of what they say about the countries involved with the attack taking place in Psalm 83.

Verse 3: For behold, Your foes are in uproar.
The translation follows Radak, who perceives it to mean to make a noise.

Ibn Ezra identifies it with the word used for multitude, who gather in nosy hordes to threaten Israel.

And those who hate You have raised their head. Your detractors and enemies have become leaders, in world affairs. The Talmud (Gittin Sob) states that any nation which oppresses Israel becomes a leader amongst the nations (Chazah Zion).

Verse 4: Against Your nation they plot deviously (lit. they make devious secrets. Secretly, the nations plot their alliance against Israel (Radak). They use deceit to convince any hesitant nation to join their cause (Sforno).

Their most heinous deception is that they claim to be fighting Israel, without acknowledging that their main purpose is to challenge God (Norah Tehillos), and the authenticity of His Torah. They seek to undermine and distort the Torah through deliberate and deceptive misinterpretation (Eretz Hachaim).

They take counsel against those whom You protect. (their animosity for Israel was aroused by the Jew's privileged status as God's protected people. The things which God safeguards most,, they hate with the greatest passion.) Thus, the Torah scholar ~ who is sheltered in the House of Study ~ is a prime target of their hatred. They also attack the Torah itself, which is the repository of God's concealed wisdom, which remains protected against all attempts to eradicate its' study (Sforno, Norah Tehillos).

Verse 5: They said “Come, let us cut them off from nationhood. The nations reasoned that as long as Israel survives, the Almighty will be called The God of Israel. By destroying His people, they thought they would obliterate God's Name as well! (Midrash Shocher Tov).

So Israel's name will be remembered no more! The nations continue their argument. The very name of Israel must be eradicated, for this nation contradics the goals and ideals of the rest of the peoples. This one group defies the rest of the world and obstructs global unity (Sforno).
For they take counsel together unaminously (literally with hearts all together).
These nations had been sworn enemies of each other, locked in murderous hostility for generations. Suddenly, they became mutual allies in their intense animosity of Israel (Radak).
Against You they strike a covenant.
They have singled out Israel as their universal enemy because Israel represents YOUR NAME. (God's Name: my note) The nations are in total agreement that the Name of God must be erased from the minds of men (Rashi).

Verse 7: The tents of Edom and Ishmaelites
Ishmael was the son of Abraham, Edom (Esau) was the son of Isaac. The descendants of these rebellious sons gathered to destroy the God of their forefathers (Ibn Yachya).

These nations did not intend to limit themselves to a single attack on Israel; rather, they came fully equipped for a prolonged campaign against the Jews. Therefore, Edom and Ishmael brought tents in to provide long term shelter (Radak)." END OF QUOTE FROM TEHILLIM

I found it very interesting that the main goal of the hatred of Israel is really the hatred of God! It is satanic in nature and they believe that by destroying Israel they will pervert the course of events that God has said would come to pass. So it is and always has been, God that they want to destroy and they don't really understand that in their hatred and bloodletting, they are instruments of Satan.

As I said, this is a very interesting interpretation of what is really going on.

I have wondered exactly that myself! But, have also chosen to believe Shoebat until I have good reason not to. I wonder how many converted muslims have had to deal with that?

GT, nothing on my appointment calendar. LOL But I do know that we were really very serious about remodeling our kitchen about a year ago and believe me, I was in hot pursuit of doing just that. My husband built our home in 1978 and it was really very stylish then. The original stove was a big ticket item from Thermador and it is still in operation. That was the first item we were replacing.

I was on my way to Ft. Smith to purchase another one and also to enlist the aid of an outstanding man who specializes in kitchen remodeling. I hadn't gone 10 miles when I heard the Holy Spirit say "there is need to remodel your kitchen"; well it got my attention and I, typically asked "why not?".
Immediately, and I mean right then, I heard him say, "no time left!"

Now we wanted to update our home so it would be market ready in the event that we either had to downsize due to health or heaven called us home. But when I told my husband, and he isn't saved YET, he said, OK. Now there has never been a time that hubby could be diverted off of a decision that he had made to do something, especially in building homes and such.

So, what you feeling? Getting homesick for our real home, real soon? Well, please don't base it on feelings, base it on what God's word says and all of the signs are gathering very quickly. I am really not a date setter by nature and by experience but it is getting very close and yeah, I long for the call "COME UP HERE".

Lori, Shalom! Here's an application that you may find useful:

MacroMaker

It's an application that lets you create sets of keystrokes and/or mouse moves, just by pressing a set of keys. For example, I have my copy set up so that when I press CTRL-SHIFT-A the "a href" code is automatically typed. I just have to copy and paste the URL into the right space. I created this macro by just having it save the keystrokes I made.

When I was into entering online contests, it was really easy. Most online entry forms follow one of a number of formats. I'd just have a different macro set up for each format and use that to enter my name, address, email, etc. If you ever have to do system administration, it's a real lifesaver, as lots of the stuff you do as an administrator can be put into a macro and automated.

In any case, MacroMaker is free and easy to use, and might make creating those blue links easier.

40% male

(I left Mr. Hyde out of the demographics to prevent double counting just in case he appears elsewhere on the list.)

Wow! I am impressed by your lists. However, what prompted you to tackle the job?
Just curious, I suppose :)

Lori,
If you want a drink that will give you a boost, without having to unwrap yourself from the wallpaper, try: Kombucha juice :)

Not all brands are created equal. But for good taste, and lasting energy I've found that,
Synergy (brand) is the best (I've tryed) and I enjoy divine grape.
It's excellent and will stabilize your blood sugars. Anyhow, just a thought. Synergy is made in CA., so I hope they retail it in Florida.

Enjoy the weekend! And God bless!

Hi Marge,

The reason I actually made the list of bloggers was because I was trying to figure out who was who since we often refer to one another by first name rather than by blogger name. For example, I often will refer to "Kathy" rather than "overcomer" which works fine for people who already know that. But, it sometimes takes time to figure out who's who. Thus, I started to drop names into a spreadsheet for a list to keep myself straight. I didn't want to leave anyone out though. So, I decided to make a list of everyone who has posted! It was a cut and paste effort with a little help from Excel to sort and total.

Also, I'm an analyst. I actually like analyzing data. My memory is not always as sharp as I'd like it to be when it comes to names. So, the switch between blogger names and given names was confusing me a bit. I thought creating a list would help me. Then I had the info so I analyzed it a bit further. That's all.

Re BHO's rally in Springfield, Illinois today...

He and Biden invoked Lincoln.
Lincoln was a REPUBLICAN! In fact, he was the first Republican President of the United States.

I find the following a bit sad and ironic in light of what the fact that BHO identifies himself as black and the fact that he supports abortion rights.

Legal Parallels between Abortion and Slavery

The Supreme Court decided in the Dred Scott case of 1857 that black slaves are not people, but property, because they are not protected by the Constitution. Consider these statements from the Scott case: "The word 'citizen' in the Constitution does not embrace one of the Negro race." "The Declaration of Independence does not include slaves as part of the people." "Such provisions of the Constitution do not put it in the power of a single state to make out one of the Negro African race a citizen of the United States, and to endue him with the full rights of citizenship in every other state without their consent." "The enslaved African race was not intended to be included in, and formed no part of, the people who formed and adopted the Declaration of Independence."

It doesn't take much imagination to see the same sick logic at work in Roe v. Wade. The fetus is not a person; it is not named in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution as part of the American community; the states are not allowed to decide for themselves how they're going to handle the issue. The slave was the owner's property, and at his disposal to keep or kill; the fetus is the mother's property, at her disposal to keep or kill. Abolitionists were criticized for imposing their morality on slave owners; pro-lifers are criticized for imposing their morality on abortion activists and doctors. Slavery was protected by law then; abortion is protected by law now.

Jim G.,
Interesting thoughts on the slavery/abortion parallels.
Just today I got an email from a good friend directing me to a YouTube video about the subject of Obama's stance on medical care for babies born alive after a botched abortion. It features nurse Jill Stanek's description of how living babies would be taken to the soiled laundry room of the hospital and left there til they died. She worked in Illinois and later testified at a hearing on the matter when Obama was a state senator.

You can watch the video here:
http://www.lanechaplin.com/2008/08/barack-obama-and-infantcide.html

And read an article written by Stanek here:
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=72511

Also, found this helpful website that allows you to click on any state and then on any state elected official's voting/quote record. Very helpful in comparing what they've actually voted for/against, rather than trying to sort out the truth vs. mudslinging from their ads.

HB, the Berg v Obama suit is amazing! And why haven't we heard about it!?

I've spent the last half hour trying to figure out where it stands and what to expect next. Don't we have a lawyer in the cave somewhere?

Maybe there is nothing to all this, but Obama and/or his staff need to address these questions.

Note, Berg is a Democrat. If I showed this to my husband he would say "I smell Clinton all over this", perhaps rightly so, but nevertheless it needs to be addressed.

I noticed much of the lawsuit used the internet (like "it's all over the internet") as evidence, so I wonder what's true and what's rumor. Still, the issues are enough to be addressed. If it gets thrown out, either people will believe the court or be outraged.

Interesting stuff.

Homeward, Shalom! RE: the Phillip J. Berg, Esq. lawsuit:

Hallelujah! I'd been telling myself that if I won the lottery in the next couple of weeks, I'd be filing a petition with my state's Secretary of State asking that ANY AND ALL presidential nominees be kept off the ballot until they can provide proof that they meet the constitutional requirements for holding office. My argument would have been that when I apply for a job, I'm expected to provide proof that I am legally eligible for the job, i.e., proof of citizenship or proof of permission to work; that I hold a driver's license of the correct class or endorsements, etc. Now, if we require the applicants for the lowest janitor or warehouse position to do this, where to the applicants for the presidency get off not providing this proof? Not to mention, the job of the president requires that the holder have access to top secret, eyes only information. What would normally be the requirements for getting this clearance, and do the candidates meet those conditions?

My guess about why we haven't heard about it before is that the suit was filed on Thursday. Given what has to happen when legal documents are filed, it probably didn't make it onto the public record until close to 5:00PM local time. While the lawyer can publicly release that the documents were filed on such-and-such a date and can release his or her own copies of the filings, the official filings would not be available for public inspection until Friday sometime. Given the amount of unbelievable stuff about Obama that's been thrown about (for example, that he's actually the love child of Marilyn Monroe and Martin Luther King, Jr. -- which is why the Kennedys had them both killed), the news services will want to see the actual legal court filings (not just the lawyer's copies) before doing ANYTHING about this. And on a Friday afternoon on the weekend just before the Democratic National Convention starts, they're either going to send someone over right away to get official copies of the filings or they're going to wait until Monday to see if anyone else jumps on this bandwagon.

I notice that this guy appeared on "Coast to Coast AM" this morning, and will be on another couple of talk radio shows over the next few days, so more and more people will be asking questions. Plus, if you click on the "Texas Lil Darlin'" link, you'll see even more information (actually, many, many more questions that have been raised that the Obama campaign seem disinclined to answer), including a comment from someone that CNN mentioned something about it this morning, and Fox News (whom I don't trust, frankly, but what can you do) are looking into it now.

OK, the TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) was denied by Judge R. Barclay Surrick "but the exhibits have been taken into evidence and Judge Surrick has decided to leave the case open, allowing subject to once again be brought forth once all parties are served" according to this site.

According to one of the comments, Barclay is a Clinton appointee, and fair.

Anne said...

Looks like Larry Sinclair (guy with the site showing TRO denial) and Philip Berg (Lawyer who filed suit) are both Clinton supporters. So, McCain could just sit back and let Clinton and Obama duke it out (again) and come out a winner! Or, as my husband said many weeks ago, don't count Gore out. He still just might enter the (DNC)stage and end up the only one who can save the party! Wouldn't that be something!

There have been times, when I am not thinking about the Lord returning, that I get a strong "urging" that the time is very short. I get a conviction in my spirit that we will see it all come together real soon. I believe the conviction is a witness to my spirit about His soon return.
I guess that is about all I can say at this time.
