C.S. Lewis quote
“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.”

Hey, Hyde, that's hardly original!
Never mind Mac. He's green with envy, all he has is Australia, not some fancy cave with luxury coffee bar and dessert cafe.
Okay, Mac... Your digs are sweet too!
Mac - Your CS Lewis quote initially made me really sad - for you mainly. Then after reading several times - I got it!
I'm one of those people that bursts out laughing 10 minutes AFTER the punchline - oh well.
Get outta here! I didn't know we got coffee AND dessert!
Lori - my heart stopped when I saw your post at Joel's. Thanks for deleting so quickly.
Ssshh, we must keep this place a secret!
I didn't mean to imply the quote made me burst out laughing - you know what I mean.
I think Hyde was under a little pressure to post something a little more meaningful than "My third post". His original intention was to call every new post, "My next post". I saw him scrounge through several daily devotionals mumbling under his breath before deciding on Jack Lewis' quote.
Lori,
This one's just for you!
tators
Mac - LOL I think you got your 2 favorites names blended. NO, good choice, it made us ponder & contemplate - that is always good.
Alesia,
It appears that I may not be able to use that stake quite yet. I still have hope, yet if the baton is passed, I'm not sure what's to come is any better.

I don't but my brain's fried right now because I've been working on mastering Dragon naturally speaking. Natural it ain't! tedious it is.
I suspect the reason the comments are still there is they discovered they can't remove them but didn't know that when they took the site down
went and viewed the comments from the blog that caused the ruckus and wow.
I clicked on the link to that particular blog site and it was unreal.
mmmm...all offending comments have been deleted at Joel's...good!
F and T was/is the same person?
no the comments are still there more's the pity and they were in direct response to Grumpy insisting the two were one and the same. I clicked on the link to the new identity and wow is all I can say to the material that is there
I did the same thing, Jib. I'm now begining to understand a few things.
oh, jib, you're correct. I just saw the previous two posts at Joel's had zero comments, but I realise now that is because comments were not allowed...lol!
I saw F's posts and all I can say is wow - reading it is liking drinking poison!
Anyways, this is the first time I actually follow the US elections (largely due to its result that would have considerable repercussions on the world and the US itself) and I'm finding it fascinating!
What is the mood like in the US, do the Republicans have a chance? The US is in serious trouble if the Democrats get to power. That may just be the end of the US as we know it.
The feeling I get in our local news is that the Democrats are sure to win. Articles always start with the Democrat nominees and then at the end mentions the Republicans.
Well, if this is going to be The Bat Cave, does that mean Mr. Hyde is Alfred? And if he is, can I get a gin and tonic with a lemon twist? (after you're finished recharging the Batmobile, of course.)
<><
Sorry, Mr Carroll; only coffee (always a cuppa brewing to keep mac happy) and the occasional apple cider if I'm really kicking my heels.
Oh and one more question, if I may (I'm trying to get my bearings around the different candidates):
What is the your Christian perspective on the following candidates (i.e. which one is good for the US?):
Republicans:
John McCain
Mike Huckabee
Mitt Romney
Rudy Giuliani
Ron Paul
They seem to be the main candidates?
Democrats:
Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama
No one else on the map for the Democrats it would appear.
Just want to get a Christian perspective on the candidates. You don't find this kinda info in the newspapers.
Do you serve Cappuccino with cream Mr. Hyde?
If so, I will take a supersize with double cream (don't forget the chocolate bits on top).
Steaming hot please.
Mr. Hyde,
rats. Well, so long as it's not French Roast and the cream is real, it will have to do.
Jen, I don't know about the "Ruby Redinger" reference, but "Sybil" (Sybil Isabel Dorsett) was the pseudonym given by Flora Schreiber to protect the identity of a psychiatric patient suffering from multiple personality disorder.

Thuunda, Shalom! You asked at 9:26 PM:
What is the mood like in the US,
I think the mood is something like, "Oh, no, not again." I know here in Iowa, we're rather glad the party has moved on, like a dear and old friend who's come to visit and stayed just a little too long. I get the sense that, for now at least, people are more interested than they have been in the last few years. That can all change in a heartbeat between now and November, but for now it's nice. I think part of that is not having a choice limited to rich white men. I think the Republicans do have a chance. So do the Democrats. It all depends on who the actual candidates are. I personally do not want Hillary Clinton to be president for a number of reasons, not the least being that I'm tired of the presidency being swapped between the Bushes and the Clintons for the last twenty years. It's time to let someone else play with the ball. If the economy takes a nosedive, then you can bet the Democrats will win. Otherwise, it's just too soon to tell.
FWIW, I just heard on the news that Hillary won the primary in New Hampshire on the Democrat side, and McCain won on the Republican side. This means it's going to be a very interesting year, politically.
The feeling I get in our local news is that the Democrats are sure to win. Articles always start with the Democrat nominees and then at the end mentions the Republicans.
I think that's just because this year the Democratic Party has more interesting characters. It's always been part of the American mythos that, "Anyone can grow up to be president." The mythos never pointed out that you had to be rich, white, and male for this to be true. Now we're seeing the possibility of this mythos actually being true in the Democratic Party, and that makes news. (I think we Americans don't always recognize or remember how our race relations look to the rest of the world. I'm barely old enough to remember the civil rights marches back in the '60s. I've only seen the pictures of the marches in history classes: fire hoses being turned on black protesters, guard dogs being used to attack children, etc. I know those pictures were broadcast around the world and used as evidence in quite a few countries of the hipocrisy and degredation of life in America, and proof that it would die and be replaced by a socialist system. Yet 20 years later, Jesse Jackson addressed the Democratic Party Convention in Atlanta, and the only people I heard commenting on that were the foreign news correspondents. 20 years after that, we have a black man, an African-American, a free man of color, running for President and having a very good chance of getting there. That's newsworthy, and I think you're going to see the South African newspapers commenting on that before they comment on the rich white men running as Republicans.
John Edwards is one of the other Democrats running against Hillary and Obama. He's not as interesting as the other two, because he's the typical American success story: grew up as a working man's son; put himself through college; developed a prosperous legal career; turned to politics, and now is developing a strong backing among middle-class people due to his commitment to labor. He's running third behind Hillary and Obama. If Hillary should stumble in the next few elections, you'll be hearing more about Edwards. Following Edwards is Bill Richardson, who is trailing far behind, but is still strong enough that he might be the vice-presidential nominee.
The Republican side is all jumbled up. First it was supposed to be Romney who had everything sewed up, then Hucklebee came out of nowhere and won in Iowa, with Romney second. Now McCain has won in New Hampshire and Romney still came in second. I think it's going to be a tight three-way race for the Republicans all the way to the convention. What's surprising people about Romney is that he's been spending so much of his own money on his campaign and he's still coming in second. Traditional wisdom says that the more ads you buy the better you do. This isn't working for Romney.
As for a "Christian perspective" on the candidates, forget it. I consider none of them to be Christians worthy of the name, and that includes Huckabee. This is because I've seen far, far too many politicians talk about their Christian faith, Christian upbringing, etc. during the campaigns, then fail to even pretend to be Christian once they get elected. (In particular, Presidents Carter and Bush.) So just assume that they're all atheistic power-mongers with little or no morality, and you'll do just fine.
Sorry about the length -- that's what you get for asking a good question.

A good response to a good question then.
Thanks Jim, much appreciated. The US elections this year will be like watching a good ball game with two good teams playing, the big difference is in the stakes, which makes it a much more serious subject than just a good show!
Sorry Forgiven, but you were wrong. However you are forgiven. Since leaving Ukraine, I have used my real name once or twice.
I have been watching the election results, much to my family's annoyance. I think that there will be a lot of surprises. If I were American, I think that I would prefer Hillary over Obama. I would expect that if Obama were president, he would make many very serious foreign policy errors, and I think that his learning curve would more closely resemble a straight line. He does not appear open to hear anything that opposes what he in his youth believes.
It is interesting that even Rabbis are forbidden from the temple mount. I wonder how far thye leadership of Israel will go before they are purified.

This is my first post (Wilma has my name and work address). I have one question that no one seems to be addressing. Jen, please acknowledge my last post, then I will delete her name, even though it's protected with symbols, I don't want to see it here.

Thuunda,
My take on the elections is to groan and say, “Good grief, we have ten more loooong months of this. I don’t think I can take any more.” It seems as if the campaigning has been going on forever.
The primary in my state (California) is taking place on February 5, and I have no clue which candidate will get my vote. I think a lot of Republicans (I’m a registered Republican) are wishing for another Reagan, but none of the Republicans contenders seem to fit those shoes. I think my problem is that as I go deeper into my Christian walk, I react to the candidates the way I do to most things in the world. Nothing there quite satisfies.
I feel as if my choice is going to come down to the lesser of evils, and I’m not happy about that. Of course, there’s no such thing as the perfect candidate.
I have to agree with Jim that the trading back and forth between the Bushes and Clintons needs to come to an end.
As far as your local news giving the impression the Democrats will win, that’s no surprise. If your news is coming from new sources that we in the US call the “mainstream media,” they have a strong Democrat/liberal bias. Or, if these are local writers getting their news from the MM, then they’re passing on that bias. There has been the perception in the MM for a long time that Hillary would not only win the nomination but the election as well.
I can’t add anything to what Jim said in the second and third to the last paragraphs of his post. “Jumble” is a good term for the Republican field, and I don’t consider any of them to be strong Christians either.

Lori,
Gotcha....thanks! I'm an English literature/education major, but I was worried I might have missed something along the way. Glad to have the facts!
Blessings,
Jen
PS. Will delete my original query as well.
Thuunda,
Another thing that makes the Democrat race so interesting is that Hillary Clinton has extremely high negative ratings. And I think a lot of white people are supporting Obama to prove that they aren't racist. These factors do indeed make for an interesting contest.

Sara,
Welcome to this blog.
You are ABSOLUTELY right.
One of the key things to remember about the Book of Revelation is that it is NOT all chronological.
It tends to jump back and forth from times before Genesis (eternity past) all the way to after the Millennial Reign of Jesus on earth (eternity future).
This causes people no end of problems in trying to understand, in particular, both the sequence of events of the Church age (i.e. the last c. 2000 yrs, also known as the "age of grace" or the "age of dispensation" = the period when people get saved and born again into the Church) AND the sequence and timing of end times prophesies covering the times we are now in, leading up to Jesus' return - both of which are covered in Revelation.
Study the Word (both OT and NT, remembering that not everything (either in the NT or OT) is about the Church, but that ALL scripture "is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" [2Tim 3:16 - NKJV].
A concordance is probably the most important tool you can have at your fingertips when studying the Word, especially where end-time prophecy is concerned. The Bible is 100% consistent in its use of terms and symbols - you just need to take time to explore their meanings.
Key rules are:
1) Determine WHO is speaking
2) To WHOM are they speaking
3) About WHAT are they speaking, giving due consideration as to when, where and how the event or situation is related both in history and to the Word.
It is alos important to tremeber that the Bible is predominately a Jewish book, that Jesus, in his incarnate form, was primarily a prophet, priest and teacher sent to the Jews. In reality, the Gospel message we, as the Church, teach and follow is much more based on Paul's writings - he himself calling it the Gospel to the Gentiles (that will upset a few people).
John
Campsmore, you make T sound like a stalker...hey wait...maybe she IS one!! lol!
Camps you said,"Do you remember the debocle? Chads; pregnant, dimpled and hanging. I hope for an uneventful election this year, I use that intersection a lot!"
I have no idea what this is. This is my first time I follow your elections. Two years ago I did not know the difference between Republicans and Democrats, one year ago I thought the Republicans were the good guys and the Dems the bad guys and now I found out they are ALL just typical politicians...i.e. can't trust any one of 'em further than you can throw 'em.
Then Jim mentioned that Huckabee is also not quite cracked up to be what I thought he was - he was a minister once? No wonder James Dobson does not want to endorse anyone.
I say that if the Dems win then the US will go into a steep decline of godlessness. I pray they do not!

Take heart! Things will improve immensely starting Feb. 6! Each campaign has a limited number of dollars to spend. They're not going to spend money on ads in states that have already held their primary. Once the candidate is decided, either through getting enough delegates to the convention or through the convention itself, though, expect the ads to return. (When I went to my local Iowa Caucus, I started out by telling people I was going to vote for Vilsack, who dropped out almost a year ago, because he was the only candidate that hadn't called me fifteen times a day in the last week!)
Frankly, I'm hoping, nay, PRAYING, that none of the candidates on either side get a lock on delegates before the national conventions. (For Thuunda and other non-Americans on this blog, the majority of state political party committees have rules in place that state that a delegate promised to a candidate must vote for that candidate on the first ballot. If a candidate can get enough delegates promised to him -- or now, her -- before the national convention, then they will have won the nomination before the convention even starts.) I want to see a political process where the outcome hasn't already been decided by the corporate sponsors (and I'm including the national party committees in that "corporate sponsor" label.) I want to hear issues debated and see very polite fights, complete with very polite name calling, break out. Democracy, in all it's messy glory.
('Course, a small part of me wants to dig a pit, fill it with mud, and put all the candidates in there armed only with sporks and a copy of the Constitution. The first one to make it out alive without dragging the Constitution in the mud wins the nomination.)

John,
I couldn't agree with you more, about the Key Rules, and everything you said after that. Although everything was good :)
Lw,
I knew it was you, as I know you're not a huge fan of Hugh Ross. But, you know I do love his Ministry :)
However, it wasn't thru Hugh Ross that I first heard about the pre-adamic race. Actually it was thru the teaching of Charles Capps. He had a series of radio teaching called, The World That Was. Of course this was years ago, but I ordered the series, and I came to find out all the verses that support the teaching are in the Dakes Bible. And they are quite a few, by the way. (more than a couple :)
It's just another subject to discuss at your Cafe, over lattes :)
I hope that you are doing well, and you know I love reading your comments. John too! (along with everyone else!)
Have a great day, all!
Hi Marge.
If I was an American I would not be able to vote for a person that is blatantly pro-choice which probably rules out all the Democrats (Hillary and Obama for certain) and some Republicans (Giuliani?).
And our newspapers are exactly the same as the ones in the US (or at least most of them) - very liberal (we "brag" that we do have the most liberal constitution in the entire world and I suppose the newspapers want to reflect that - yuck!). I haven't bought a newspaper for the last 3 years or so. I get all my news from the internet.
One of the main newspapers would like to argue the case for Satanism as a formal religion, others look like a playboy when you open them, our radio stations have mediums on them which you can consult by phoning in, everyone is sold on Al Gore and our most famous "court jester" as some would call him (Bishop Tutu) denies that Jesus Christ is THE way...afterall all good people go to heaven....I'm sure the US situation is similar.
Did I say "Hi Marge"? Sheesh, I meant "Hi Angie" lol! Old Age at a Young Age!!
Hi Thuunda,
And welcome! No worries :) However, I'm about the most un-political person you're ever going to meet, (IMO) from the United States. I live in western Washington, and although I'm 61 years old, I've never followed politics, as it makes my eyes glaze over, and makes me want to scream, for the most part :) However, I do enjoy gleaning from the other Bloggers :)
I believe Washington States Primary is going to be in early Feb. I intend to pray. Other than that I don't listen too much, I must admit. Because actions speak louder than words, IMO. And after all, just how many have actually followed thru with their campaign promises? Probably a few, I dunno.
Anyway, welcome! And I've enjoyed reading your questions and comments. Keep them coming!
Thuunda, Shalom! The debacel ... debecal ... debe ... the really big problem Campsmore was referring to was the 2000 election. Each state is responsible for administering their own election system. In Iowa, until about 15 years ago, we had these huge machines where you had to move a lever next to the candidate or proposition you were voting for. When you pulled the main lever, the paper sheet in the voting machine would be marked. At the end, someone would have to count up everything by hand. Now we use an optical reading system like the multiple-choice tests you take now: you mark your ballot, then take it to this machine that reads the markings and does the counting for you.
At the time, Florida used (still uses?) a punched-hole system. You'd get the ballot, put it on this holder, then use a stylus to punch holes into the ballot. The ballot then gets put into a machine that counts the holes. Simple, right? Except the people in charge of getting the ballots printed didn't check them, or didn't check them very well. There were quite a few examples where the names on the ballots didn't line up where their punch spaces were -- you thought you were voting for one party but punching out another party's space. Plus, it took quite a bit of force to make a clean punch in the ballot. There are a lot of old people in Florida, with poor eyesight and not enough strength to make a clean punch.
The result was where you had lots of cases where (for example) neighborhoods with large Jewish populations were listed as voting for the Nazi party. That's what first set up the red flags. When people started looking at the actual ballots, they found lots of cases where someone had tried to punch through but didn't (leaving a "pregnant" dimple), where the punch went through but not enough to register on the reader (a dimple) or where the bits of paper from the punchout -- a "chad" were still hanging on to the ballot, where it interfered with reading other ballot punches. In the end, thousands and thousands of ballots had to be counted by hand, which involved the counters having to guess what the voter's intention was -- was that dimple an uncompleted vote or a flaw in the paper? To add to the confusion, Jeb Bush, the brother of George W. Bush, was the governor of Florida, and the person in charge of elections for the state of Florida was a very strong Republican. The vote had to go to the Supreme Court for certification before a winner could be declared. The people in Florida still hang their heads in shame over the voting problems, and you can count on more than a few news reports about how the voting in Florida will be handled this year.
Lots of people overseas made fun of the US for that, that we couldn't handle a simple thing like an election, and wondered how we could run as a nation with such a screwed-up system. Personally, I think it was a shining moment for the nation as a whole. We didn't have demonstrators marching in the street attacking the police; we didn't have to call out the military to ensure order, we didn't have the FBI and the CIA throwing their support behind different candidates. I can think of quite a few countries where any of those options would have been the norm. Instead, the question was submitted to the courts, and the rule of law was obeyed.
As for Huckabee is also not quite cracked up to be what I thought he was, let me clarify. To me, being a Christian means you have absolute beliefs -- there are some things that are just wrong. Politics, on the other hand, is the art of compromise. We call it "horse trading" -- what are you willing to give up in order to get what you want. You would have to talk to someone in Arkansas, where he is governor, to get an idea of what Huckabee is willing to trade in order to get what he wants. I'm just withholding judgment on the man until I see him in action. By expecting the worst, I may be pleasantly surprised.
<><
Hi Marge (I got it right this time!)
Thanks for the welcome! To be honest with you politics used to bore me to tears as well. My local politics still does!!! The real reason I'm interested in US politics (apart from that it is just generally more interesting than our local politics) is that I believe that the outcome of this election will have a profound influence on the world. If the democrats win, pulls out hastily out of the ME, stabs Israel in the back, flirt with the EU and Russia, and advances super liberal policies then there will be global consequences. Not to say that they will do all the above and not to say the Republicans may do some of the same.
I have a feeling the democrats will win and I dread that for the US. I know what it is to be ruled by liberals - you get to live in an upsidedown world where right is wrong and wrong is right.
John,
I agree with Marge's agreement! I'm so happy to see that you are still here and doing such a great job of laying things out, line upon line!
Marge,
I'm also in with the pre-adamic creation group. The verse of scripture that was the most powerful in convincing me is Gen. 1:1-2:
Gen 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
(KJV)
Finding out that the first "was" in verse 2 is actually the Hebrew word, hayah, which means to become or to come to pass. It is an emphatic word and not just a connecting word. I don't know how or when the it came to pass, but I do understand that the earth we know had to be re-created!
It will be so much fun to watch all the old "heavenly video" of these things when we are all there and see just HOW He did it all!
greatgranny5,
Hi! It's nice to meet a new side of a great old friend! You're a treasure by any name!
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
Shalom,
Robin
Hi Jim,
I can actually faintly remember that "debacle".
Your comment of how the American public handled the matter is in stark contrast to what happened/is happening in Kenya at the moment. A thumbs up for you Americans for sure.
Here we would have had marches, violent clashes, some deaths and opportunist looting if the same thing happened. Just the way it is here. 'shrugs'.
Gotta get to bed. Cya all in the morning (late evening for most of you and late afternoon for Mac?).
Thank you Marge and Robin for your comments.
You may be interested in a major development at our church.
As of tonight, Wedenesday, we are starting a weekly Healing and Prayer Cafe meeting in the hotel where we meet on Sundays, open to anyone who wants to come. At present it is planned for these meetings to alternate weekly between a short time of teaching on healing, followed by a time of healing ministry, and a short time of teaching on prayer (in the Holy Spirit of course), followed by a time of prayer. This will go as the Spirit directs. (Up to now we have had Bible and prayer meetings in a member's home, but after almost 40 months the pastors feel they do not want to impose on them any more).
We STILL do not have our own building - we are now in another hotel as we needed more space. The pastors have now looked at almost 40 possible sites, but none have meet our requirements (either wrong layout, or usually far too high a price = owners want (extortionate) commercial rates on their properties.
We are now, in our pastors' words, "putting pressure" on the situation by opening up our meetings more, and expecting God to do great and mighty things, which will then make it even more urgent for us to have our own place.
John
Jim,
That was a pretty good explanation of chads. Chad is just the paper punch out in the hole on the card.
The media wanted everyone to believe that the ballot was hard to read. Not so. I didn't meet anyone, republican or democrat who thought it was difficult to read. My hubby and I even kept our samples, as proof.
Now Florida uses electronic voting system. We go check in, they give us what looks like a credit card, put it into a machine, place our bets....ooops, I mean votes, when finished we put our card in a box. Who knows what happens to it after that. We used it for the first time during the last election.
Harold (and others),
Ok, go get the book "23 Minutes in Hell" it's worth the read.
Also, it is a fast read, it only took me about 3.5 hours to read.
The book is not what I expected, at all - not too scary.
It very much is written for non-believers (which is great), but beneficial for believers as well.
What I liked was that it is simplistic enough for non-believers and/or lukewarm Christians, but is chock-full of scripture backing it up, but done in a way that is easy to understand. I was most impressed with the author's constant plea to not take his word but to validate from scripture. Plus, appendices A & B are good references.
I found myself praying, during reading & after, "Please Lord show & help me to become a better witness, to help others not have to face this fate"
So, I would recommend the read.
I'll post over at Joel's too, so sorry for the redundancy.
John,
I checked out your church website. What a great church you have! It sounds a lot like mine. I like the fact that your church is "transdenominational". We've always said interdenominational, but I like that term better. I'm going to share it with my pastor. He graduated from the same Bible School in 1982.
We'll add your church to our morning and Friday night intercessory prayer meetings for the manifestation of the Holy Spirit's power and for the Lord to confirm His Word with mighty signs and wonders in your new meetings! And also for a new building that is exactly what you need at a beyond all you can ask or think GOOD price!
Shalom to you and your pastors,
Robin
Sara
Dr. Fruchtbaum had a great article on the OT in Revelation-I don't have the link right off the top of my head but will try to get it for you. What John lists is important but what made it click for me was Frucht saying that only 2 of the chapters of Revelation deal with future events ie the millenial reign and after-the last two. All the other chapters in Revelation that deal with prophecy (not the ones per se on the 7 churches) put into chronological order the random scattered eschatological prophecies of the Old Testament. It was quite an interesting read and enlightening.
Hey Wilma,
Why did you make the comment you did to that Marcel person?
Do you know something we don't about their true identity?
PS: You've made the comment, several times, that you're trying to keep up with us youngins on computer knowledge. I can tell ya, you've surpassed many of us with your computer savvy & Sherlock Holmes ways!
Campsmore, Shalom! I wish you hadn't said that about "electronic voting". As someone who works with computers, I am REALLY opposed to any voting system that doesn't include or depend on some kind of paper ballot. It's just too easy to confuse those machines, and I want some kind of physical, hard-copy backup before I go trusting my democracy to those beasties.
<><
Alesia, click on the name I used and then read the past comments, especially from a 2 or 3 year archive. Then go to Angie's and ask her what she has found on that name. Then ask the Holy Spirit to show you what it all means.
JIM I like computers because they are independent and don't have anyone on the payrolls of the candidates and they don't owe the Clintons anything. Paper records can be cunningly altered to suit the persons/situations.
JOHN I would love to be able to attend your group meetings and I whole heartedly agree with Robin for your needs to be met beyond anything you could hope to ask for or even think. DONE!
Now, if two or more come into agreement with us on this we can see it come fact. By the way, I agree with the Pre-Adamic theory but not so far as a flood. Having gotten that far yet but it sure is interesting to say the least. Being VOID AND WITHOUT FORM is the part that has me glued to my Lexicon/concordances. Still searching though.
There are so many great study tools on the internet now and the next time I am given a free study tool from Nelson Electronic Bible STudy I am going to post it here for all of you to take advantage of. How's that?
On that note, Dr. Fruchtenbaum has been approached by Nelson to put all of his material on their format and sold as a complete study source through them. I don't know how far that has developed but it would be great. It would be complimentary to their own electronic study system and I have that one. It is really great and so many add ons that just make my mouth water. My kids are going to have a ball when Great Grany takes to dancing on the streets of Gold and they are left with the "what do we do with this" phase of my life. I won't care what they do with it, I will be enjoying the presence of my Savior and Lord, surrounded with all my loved ones and smelling the sweet aroma of love that lives there.
Oh, Heaven, open up thy mighty gates and bring us home! Marantha

Jib's right, all the old stuff's gone, I only see the new name stuff now.
I have to admit...
Between this blog & Joel's I have NO idea what is going on! I feel sooo out of the loop.
I have no idea what granny's hidden message meant.
No idea why Angie just posted the comment she did at Joel's.
AND I have NO idea what the following 2 posts from lastnight meant.

Alesia,
It appears that I may not be able to use that stake quite yet. I still have hope, yet if the baton is passed, I'm not sure what's to come is any better.

I don't but my brain's fried right now because I've been working on mastering Dragon naturally speaking. Natural it ain't! tedious it is.

Am I the only one that is massively confused?
Wilma or Angie,
Will one of you email me, to let me know, if you don't want to post it?
My curiosity is killing me (and I'm not even a cat)
Hey Alesia,
I'm with you...so confused just trying to remember what I read on which blog now, not to mention stuff I don't know how to interpret! I'll be interested to hear anything that clarifies the situation, but I do appreciate those who are working hard to keep track of those who wish us to stumble.
For those who are high tech, is it possible for 'that' person to create so many fake blog sites with long histories/posts and seemingly separate profiles, etc? I can't imagine the time it would take to keep that many plates spinning. Or are they mostly plagiarized from other sites? When I look at the suspect blogs and see the many, many posts/replies, etc. I think that no human would have strength/time/ingenuity to accomplish so much havoc. And that leads to a whole lot of other questions.
Eager to get everyone's thoughts.
Blessings,
Jen
PS. In the Left Behind books, wasn't there a "Mac" character who helped with the safe house activities? A pilot, I think? Makes me feel like we're in that series, the way we're operating now!
Hi Jen,
Yes, there was Mac, a pilot, in Left Behind - how funny!
How's Kendra?
Hi Alesia,
Just read my update on Kendra. Surgery went smoothly and she is awake/cognizant of her surroundings. The next week or so is crucial as I guess that the brain swells in reaction to the surgery, so that, along with infection, is the current prayer focus. But overall things have gone really well so far. Kendra asked for an Icee when she woke up, so they took that as a sign that she was still the same Kendra that went into surgery. I'll post any other updates I get.
Blessings,
Jen
my comment was that everyone was getting some secret funny in Hyde's post and I read it several times and nothing jumped out at me. My brain was so toast that night however it might or might not explain that I see no deeper meaning
I wouldn't mind an email either
Thuunda,
I have a feeling you may be right in the outcome of the Presidental race in the United States. That's why I am praying :)
John,
I'm agreeing with Robin, and Granny, that God will bless your services, and many experience full salavation, which also includes total "wholeness" to spirit, soul and body.
Alesia and Jen,
You're confused? LOL! I have NO idea what is going on, either. But, sometimes, in my case? It's a frequent enough experience :)
And yeah, if anyone wants to clarify anything? I vote for it!
God's best to everyone!
Me, too, about the e-mail!
Alesia,
Oops. I guess I must have been tired. In a post yesterday or Monday, I said I wanted to put a stake through the heart of everything Hillary stood for. The polls and pundits were predicting a loss for her in New Hampshire, and I believed them. That's what I meant by not being able to use that stake quite yet. Even though I knew the primaries and caucauses were just getting started, I had my hopes about Hillary having to drop out of the race sooner rather than later.
The passing the baton comment wasn't well expressed. I see people my age and Hillary's age who don't seem to have grown up. They still think the way they did when they were young and think they're still living in the world as it was in their youth. They can't face reality as it is now. But I'm not sure the younger generations are able to face reality as it is either. That's probably the best way to try to explain what I meant about the passing the baton comment.
From what I've read online, apparently I'm in the minority in thinking there was sincerety in Hillary choking up. One writer commented that he thought it was fatigue and the possibility that her goal of becoming president wasn't going to come true. That makes sense to me because I just don't think Hillary is that good an actress.

Grany 5 was being cryptic and I was letting her know that what she wanted us to do wasn't possible-that likely doesn't clear it up now does it?
I too wuld love to know how you have determined to T is marcel.
Picking up on F was fairly easy, but no way would I have picked up on Marcel.
Amazing how much time people spend taking on different profiles, etc., as Jen has pointed out.
Unfortunately, we wind up spending too much time unraveling it all, too!
Hopefully in the end it will all lead to God's glory thru Jesus Christ!
Hi all!
Just poking my head in. Alot of good articles posted.
I am not a real politcal person, never have been. So I don't have much imput on stuff like that.
I have checked over at Joel's. Either no one is posting or something is up.
Anyway,
Take care all and I will keep trekking through the cave.
In His Love
Debbie
Thank you Mac! I feel honored to be invited to the party. I didn't think I'd hear from any of you until we were sipping those proverbial lattes!
TexasDave
Angie - Thanks for clearing that up, makes more sense. I was mildly interested in that but really interested in the other matter of Grany telling me to ask you about it. Fess up, woman!
Jen - Thanks for the update about Kendra, I'm so glad to hear things are looking good so far - will keep praying for her.
GT - You do know who Grany really is? She was telling us to go check out her "real" blue name, but when we did, it just brought us back to her new "grany" name blog.
Do we really need to be so secretive of her new name here? Because I believe I already blew the whistle on that here.
I didn't put 2 & 2 together about Marcel being T, I checked out Marcel's blog & even googled the name & dismissed the notion. So I am still perplexed AND WANT ANSWERS, Please
I think the vibe at Joel's is rather funky and haven't really checked it all that much, I'm sure it will get better. I'm just really thankful we have the comfy cave!
Usually I spot T right away. I'm going to watch Marcel and let you know if it's her...one thing to consider, it could be her husband.
She knows I can pick her out of a crowd.
Great Granny5, Are you the scuba-diving Great granny that we know and love?
I'm guessing that as Joe Friday said:"Names have been changed to protect the innocent"?
TexasDave
Jib,
What just happened to your post? I saw it go to my email but it's not here.
Did you email me & I mistook it for a post?
If so, I deleted it before reading.
Man, that Marcel guy has it in for us all. Don't think it's the other poster.... reads like a man who's mad cause somebody made his girl cry.
Yes, the poster with the french name is T. Please pray for her. Remember, we war not against flesh and blood, but against principalities. God will fight this battle. We alone can't win it, but He can.
"Again I (Jesus) say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 18:19
Hi guys,
I'm wondering if we should delete previous posts and avoid posting any names that could lead "others" here...I did a google search on this latest M C person and found that he's an obscure retired hockey player. Played 26 games in the NHL. If someone is trying to locate the cave, googling that name would lead to a small number of hits which could easily be weeded out to find our location, right?
Should we have some guidelines about using these names? Perhaps initials or using a mix of symbols/letters like Lori did in response to one of my earlier comments (I think it was Lori...)
Just thought I should throw it out there. I guess Mac could always enact the blog author privelege to permit/deny, but I hate for him to be burdened with that.
Well, gotta get some sleep. I think the kids are finally over the worst of their cold, and praise the Lord I only went through the first round, but someone might yet call Momma out at 3AM, so I'll get a few winks while I can.
Blessings,
Jen
OK, after reading my post, I realized it might be confusing. I mean the true MC is a hockey player. Angie has now confirmed that T is the blogger MC which I guess shouldn't surprise anyone, but just makes me very sad. Hope that makes sense.
Nighty night!
Jen
Angie; Thanks, hope you can fill us in about how the 2, "t" and "m.c" are connected. If not I understand.
God Bless!
Granny and I are pretty sure that they are connected. We'll let you know what comes up.
Camps,
if you and grany are correct about T and frenchy then that is a seriously disturbed person.
I don't know what kind of evidence you guys have, so I'm not going to aggressively dispute the idea.
I will say this, however: If M is T, then they are SEVERLY split personality. If it is hubby of T, then they must have some rip-roaring debates in their house.
I did some digging lastnight, since Granny went AWOL & didn't answer me.
The full name given for T earlier is correct & the nickname given is likely her middle name. The M person is not the hockey player but a retired armed forces MAN, who very much writes like a man. His name can be found posting going back to 2004.
The biggest descrepancy (but there are others) is M is VERY pro Israel, T is VERY not.
If you are basing info. on IP addresses, keep in mind that IP addresses can change constantly. If you are posting from your work, most places have internal intranet structures and unless you are set-up for a static (doesn't change) ip address, your ip will constantly change & be given to someone else in that intranet. To be honest, I'm not sure if the same applies for home computers though, but I don't believe it does.
Now, with all that said, Grany, you've peaked our interest in what's going on & I think we would like someone to enlighten us about this mystery. BUT I for one, do NOT want to spend my time, thinking about, reading about, digging up on, etc. the T or M person. So the sooner we find out, the sooner we can stop talking about it & move on to better things.
:)

I hope he at least reads it. Wouldn't it be a hoot if he showed it to Joel to get his opinion on it?
nope Alesia
can't email you as I don't have your address-maybe you just deleted it?
I to get updates and oddly can read everybody's but Angie's. Her comments come through as being posted but the substantive text does not. interesting to say the least.
You may have to put the bait on the new post Joel has however.
T is probably still reading this blog, so there's probably no point in deleting references to her.
She can change her name, but it's the things she can't change on her own that give her away time and again.
In some ways I guess I can relate to her, but because of our Father's grace and mercy, the person I used to be died and left the darkness behind. If not for His grace, mercy, and love, I would have sunk even deeper into the darkness and would probably have taken my own life long before now.
I think that's why the Spirit has changed my heart toward her, and in some ways I pity her. But in the last year the Spirit has taught me that the love of God the Father is no match for all the demons in hell. If He rescued me, He can rescue anyone.
Mr. Hyde, I see no reason to change anything about your blog posting, though granny could advise you on that better than I.
JIB, I thought it would be wise to disable the comments on my blog, but I didn't see an option to make them moderated. But I was pressed for time when I did it.

Hi all;
I am going to delete my references to "t" and others on this blog (where I used the full name)in case it can be traced. Hope we can get some answers, to be aware of things. If the blog is infiltrated there is little anyone can do to keep mice from reading it. You can block comments however but then that inhibits comments. Seems so far we are safe??
God Bless!
Can I make a suggestion?
In reference to "t", who I will hereafter refer to as "Donkey" (in honor of the character from Shrek, who is constantly vying for attention)....Wouldn't it be better just to ignore the posts as if they did not exist. Failing that, if some personality proves out to be Donkey, just delete the comment. This is hyde's place, not Joel's, and can be moderated as he sees fit, right? That seems to me to be two better courses of action than trying to outmanuever the annoying little Donkey.
Scott,
I SO agree with you. Since Joel's opened back up, all the talk here has been about the Donkey.
I thought we were over & done with that.
My posts stemmed from trying to figure out what people were talking about, as it made no sense to me.
Alesia - That's basically my point. Donkey has no influence or power that we don't give her.
Boro_Eagle: you said,
Alesia - That's basically my point. Donkey has no influence or power that we don't give her.
Amen!!
And I believe we are giving her too much!! I just love a good mystery though (just my flesh I guess) Guilty!!
God Bless!
Scott - Just took a look at your profile - was trying to see the picture better :) Anyways, I noticed you like Dean Koontz, did you read his latest - The Darkest Evening of the Year? I just finished it 3 days ago. I've noticed the last few books of his and especially this last one, he seems more spiritual. I was really happy to see that - even if he was a little wrong in what he was saying.
Alesia, I am sorry! I made myself scarce unintentionally but I was really digging.
Now for some clarification on this Marcel person. If you read what Google search brought up and check dates that this man played hockey, you will note that he was acquired by Russia in 2002. He was not a writer and his interests were clearly sports of a specific kind. If you search in any Genealogy site, that name only comes up for this man.
The blogger says he is in Florida. I did a Anywho check on the name (last name only) for Florida and it didn't return a hit. Trying the same thing in any other person locator will get similar results.
Now, 2nd step; read his blog ID and he says he is a vet of the air force. Doesn't jive people. I cannot post the sources because our little pest closes down the blogs and then you can't read them anymore. Sure there is a work around but why is it necessary to close them? Found out this person is an author and she has so many blog sites it isn't even funny. She has enough names to fill a phone book and everywhere she goes the reaction by others to her is the same, except for our Jim. That must have freaked her out.
But you know what I got this morning thinking? Why go to all this bother with someone who is so devious and twisted? I truly know without a doubt in my heart that she is and has been copying everything that she can personally use and call it her own. She is manic in this regard and if there is a Psychiatrist on board her, she needs help desperately.
Lori and I have discussed this quite extensively and we both know that her resources are quite impressive and she is driven. Beyond anything we could ever think, she really is mixed up and tormented. Spiritually, I believe she is struggling to find a firm foundation but then when it is offered to her she reverts back to her power base and ways of doing things. There is an old saying that you can't help someone who does not want help. I believe that this applies to the one being discussed. In some ways I wish I could erase the blackboard and start all over again.
I created my new blog with the intentions of having both ID's but blogger won't let me do that with the same gmail account. So now, all you can link to is my Great Grany5 blog and only if you have the address right. I got really stressed out Tuesday evening late, and made some changes to my site that I didn't really think about and I messed it up. Now when I get the chance and hubby isn't lurking, I will try to correct them. In the meantime, my other comments are off limits to the one in question. She would have to have more than she has now to access them. Why did I do this? Simply because I have no intention of her using (copying she does and would) the material that is there. She can write her book using someone elses material and if she does already have my material copied, I will sue her royally. She can count on it!
So, let's quit worry about it and get on with life. She is accomplishing more by us being worried than she would if she posted. We could always ask Hyde to delete it.
Then when Lori and I pin this down and know for sure, I still think the best thing to do is present it at Joel's as a finding, then let the dog lie.
In the meantime, I have to get my scuba gear ready because I plan on going for a nice cool dip in our wonderful blue water lake not far from here. Have a dry suit and while there are very few tourists and spectators around, I am going to pour, push, grunt, wiggle, squirm, grunt some more and then pop into that suit and plop into the lake. In the winter time the water visibility is so much better than the summer with all of the motors churning the bottoms up.
So, yes, Texas Dave It's me!
God's best blessings to you all,
alesia - Nope haven't read that one yet. I want to, but I unfortunately have about 6 books I am trying to read right now, plus a few more I got for Christmas. I agree DK has gotten more spiritual lately. I can only hope that he makes it all the way home.
as for my picture...
that's Bruce Campbell in the Movie "Army of Darkness". Really funny if you've never seen it. At that point he has been sent back in time to medieval Europe with nothing but his Cadillac..which conveiniently contains the shotgun.
The quote as he raises the gun over his head makes me laugh, because in my line of work, I 've wanted to say the same thing, more or less...
"Ok you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?"
Louis L'Amour stated in his book "the Lonesome Gods" (I believe) that the power of the gods comes from his people. Apart from the true God, this is so true. If people simply don't believe in a particular god, then that god has no control over anyone, even tho that god might be a demon. In other words, the best way to defeat false gods is to simply ignore them. I am not saying that T is a god, but she has been given a lot of power, even here because people focus on her even when they try to avoid her. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. :<}
I sure see this idea when I consider Islam. Allah has zero intrinsic power, however because he has so many people following him, he is very powerful in the world.
BOROEAGLE, you and Alesia posted while I was blowing steam but boy, you nailed it! My pyschology prof pounded that state so firmly into my head that I have never forgotten it.
NO ONE HAS ANY MORE AUTHORITY OVER YOU THAN YOU ALLOW OR GIVE THEM TO PERMISSION TO HAVE.
Back to the important things in life! Goodby *t*
^
so, boro-eagle, is your favorite phrase "it's go boom time" - from Star wars.
BLUB, BLUB, BLUB! Bubbles moving upward as I spiral into the deep of the water below me.
Did I mess up what I was saying? Yeah but it is all in a days passing.
NO ONE HAS ANY MORE AUTHORITY OVER YOU THAN YOU ALLOW THEM TO HAVE.
LW: You are right one more time! We can always count on you to see through the fog and past the trees to see the forest. Thank you my precious friend. Still praying for you and your next assignment!
Take care and please, also my remark about T needing help I made a boo boo! I said "She is manic in this regard and if there is a Psychiatrist on board her, she needs help desperately."
Should have been a Psychiatrist on board here; I am so sorry!
Quit laughing, right now!
I gotta leave this comment from Newsmax today:
ony Blair To Join JPMorgan: Source
Thursday, January 10, 2008 8:35 AM
Former British prime minister Tony Blair is expected on Thursday to join U.S. bank JPMorgan Chase & Co Inc (JPM.N) as a senior adviser, according to a person familiar with the situation.
JPMorgan declined to comment. The Financial Times in London first reported the move on its Web site, saying it would be the first of a series positions Blair expects to take in the private sector.
Blair, a key ally of U.S. President George W. Bush, was replaced last year by Gordon Brown as prime minister amid growing discontent over Great Britain's policy in Iraq.
Details of Blair's duties with JPMorgan, the third largest U.S. bank, were not immediately available.
Blair's predecessor, John Major, joined a U.S. finance company after leaving 10 Downing Street.
After leaving office, Major joined U.S. private equity firm The Carlyle Group in 1998 amid that company's big push into the European market.
GreatGrany - Well, I think Jesus said it best in John 19:10-11
10So Pilate said to Him, "You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?"
11Jesus answered, "You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason, he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin."
LW - LOL, no I would have to go with the tried and true "I've got a baaaad feeling about this"
Boro_eagle & gt & granny,
Amen, brothers and sister! T is irrelevant in that she has no power over us.
Boro_eagle, I like the photo! And the quote!
><>
Shalom, all! It may be that Donkey will behave herself. Joel's blog is connected to his website, which is connected to his business, November Communications. The blog comment section was closed down due to her comments, which violated several Google Blogger policies. This closure directly affected his business, by eliminating November Communications' ability to communicate with Joel's customers and clients.
I have no doubt that the webmaster did some tracing, etc., got ahold of Donkey's ISP to confirm a physical location, and had Google's legal department write some letters. If that's the case, then we may get more non-existent hockey players posting, but no more foul language.
So long as the language and behavior don't violate Google's policies, nothing will happen, but if Donkey forces Joel's webmaster to close down the comments again, someone's going to get stepped on.
<><
Boro_eagle, Shalom! My favorite movie quote from all time has to come from "National Treasure":
Powell: [referring to the underground staircase] How do a bunch of people with hand tools build all this?
Ben Gates: The same way the built the pyramids, and the Great Wall of China.
Riley Poole: Yeah... the aliens helped them.
My second-favorite is from the same movie:
Riley Poole: Who wants to go down the creepy tunnel inside the tomb first?
<><
I agree with Alesia's comments re linking MC & T. I spent a little time checking out the MC character and note that he's had articles on Israel appearing in different publications since 2004. Also, more than one MC lives in Florida according to the phone records. I really don't think it's T and it shouldn't matter to us even if it was as it cannot hurt us.
Mac,
Just got my correction on MC too. AT&T has his in business and residence and has been since 2004. I truly apologize for the mess my suspicious thinking caused, Please forgive me. I was a big time hockey fan and remembered Marcel playing when I lived elsewhere. The Hockey games were one of our selected channels on dish TV and when I read his profile it just raised big doubts.
Being jumpy from the other person of interest didn't help any either.
So, everyone take off the dark glasses, turn down your coat collars and get back to posting. the Cave is secure!
I am kind of mad at myself for focusing on this again....but is it still unclear whether or not MC is T?
From reading mac's last message, I wasn't srue where it all stands.
(Not that it really matters!)
Also, I was wondering if T is the genuine person.... maybe T is invented, too.
Kind of like a mystery novel!
But there are better things I would prefer to focus on...although I still am curious, etc! :)
<>< I love that fish symbol!
also lori whose the barry person you were referring too? what post?
I personally feel secure in the fact that I believe we are safe in the company of a bonafide CIA/FBI/IRS agent. But I shall not give away any further details about Mr C.
Mr. Hyde,
Feh! I most certainly am NOT with the IRS! Perish the thought!
Now, NSA, maybe...
<><
Donna,
T is a real person, I can tell you where she lives & works, when she got married, her work email, how old she is (44) - need more? :) Barry is her husband.
PS: Don't mess with me! I'll find out all there is to know & tell everyone. LOL
Bet you can't tell me how much mac can bench press.
652 lbs! - you do the conversion
Oh, I did it for you = 295.7472 kg
BTW, in reference to the discussion earlier about there being a Mac in the Left behind books, I'd like to say that I've been using that moniker before they were published. Concidentally, I've also clocked up about 10 hours training flights. However, it was just a teeny single engined Cessna. My takeoff was better than my landing, unfortunately.
295kgs? Hmmm...he's been spiking his breakfast cereal.
Yeah, that was to make you feel all macho & burly, he, he, he
Ok, how about 385 - 410 lbs?
= 174.55 - 185.89 kgs
Mr Hyde said: "I personally feel secure in the fact that I believe we are safe in the company of a bonafide CIA/FBI/IRS agent."
Uh, oh. Busted.
;-)

I wish he'd stop walking around the shopping mall wearing a too-tight T-shirt with the World Gym logo.
"Mr Hyde said: "I personally feel secure in the fact that I believe we are safe in the company of a bonafide CIA/FBI/IRS agent."
Uh, oh. Busted."
Maybe even more than one....
I don't know if anyone has linked to this yet. From Bill Koenig's site:
Update from Jerusalem:
The 3500 Year Biblical Connection to
President Bush's Arrival in Israel
Jim - I gotta say one of my favorites is from GhostBusters.
Dr. Egon Spengler: There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
Dr. Peter Venkman: What?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the streams.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Why?
Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Dr Ray Stantz: Total protonic reversal.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.
Mr. Hyde, you think Mac is distracting people at the Mall with his T shirt and Logo on the front, this this one. A female weight lifter who can outpress most of the at the local fitness center, wearing a T two sizes too small and no bra! I even looked! My face turned red and I had to absolutely yank hubby six steps to get him to follow me. Diet! Diet! Where did I put that diet?
DONNA! It is a non issue and just forget it! T is real, Mac is real and Jim is well, he is NSA (nuts, sugar and alco, something else to that last word but I don't remember it). Too bad he isn't NPIC (nuts, pizza, ice cream).
Think I will go scuba dive again.
Love you all,

You boys are cracking me up!
Mac - that was a really good article - thanks.
Ok, I should have said:
You boys AND Wilma are cracking me up - too funny!!!
Col.Flagg: CIA doesn't supersede anyone's orders.
Frank: Except the president's.
Flagg: Give us time.
Thank you great grany and others for your research on mc. I would have to asume that "t" is still out there lurking and expect to see her at sometime again on Joel's or other blogs. Even from what we have discovered so far she still really needs strong prayer. I get the strong impression that she is still searching by her confrontational style. Anyway for now... back to other things!
God Bless!
Hi Y'all
Thanks to John and Wilma who helped me find the place. Really missed it..
Interesting article Mac...
Over Christmas I caught a show on TBN called the Star of Bethlehem. The readers digest condensed version of the show indicated that the star of Bethlehem was Jupiter and Venus coming it conjunction. While reading more on there web site today, I googled and ended up at a site called sky watch(secular) which said there would be the same conjunction on Jan 31st just before sunrise. Maybe just coincidence with the date in Mac's article. I think there's a chance of an asteroid hitting Mars about the same time (Jan 30th).
Thanks for hosting this Mac, it sure feels a lot more comfortable here..
May God richly bless you..
Mike
What a group! I just kind of scanned everything and will have to go back and read everything later!
Have a great night! or day!

wow Mac and Dave-you blew my mind with your two links guys.
I would add that a June birthday with something Dr Frucht said might be more likely. He notes that when an important event occurs around a Jewish feast day it is mentioned as occurring at the time of a certain feast. Since there is no mention of any of the Jewish celebrations around the time of Christ's birth his conclusion is that the birth did not occur around any of the Jewish observances
Y'all have spent way too much time analyzing T, F, MC and who ever else she is at the moment. I felt like 2/3rds of the anonymous posts were her as well. The whole scene seemed rather bizarre. (I think someone else already referenced "Sybil"?)
I feel the best course is still just ignore her clicky-clicky style.
I have found that my blood-pressure was much more in-control when I just ignored her labeled posts and when I detected venom in any of the anonymous posts.
Maybe we can take it as a sign that the end is REALLY close, because of the strength and tenacity of her will to stick around. She must really be driven by some evil force.

A former coworker forwarded my stories about my son on to yet another former coworker who emailed this in response. She was highly embarrassed by the incident but I got a little teary about the response of people. The daddy btw is divorced from the mommy of the little boy (I understand it was quite bitter as well)
"I took my
grandson to live with his daddy in San Diego in Oct. He was so good on the plane until we landed. the aisle was filled with people and he was in a hurry to see his Daddy
and kept telling me. "Memaw, I want to see my Daddy" and I would tell him to be patient as the people had to move then we could go. This discussion went on several times and finally he got quiet. When suddenly he screams, "MOVE IT PEOPLE, I want to see
my Daddy!" The plane got real quiet with everyone looking at us. I quietly prayed the bottom of the plane would open up and I would fall out but no such luck.
Instead, I just looked at everyone and quietly said " my son is in the Navy and my grandson hasn't seen his Dad for 1 yr and he is anxious. Most of the people stepped aside
and let us go. "

sorry it has taken so long to get back to you with the link to Dr Frucht's excellent study on the OT in Revelation. there is not an exact link at this time but if you go to
www.ariel.org and on the scroll bar there is a button called "community". under community there is Arielnet news and it is under the header "Special report" failing that maybe Granny still has the email she sent me and she can send it to you
Alesia,
Do you work in IT security or Law enforcement? I work in IT but most of my skill is specialized in business applications. If you have truly been able to track T down to that level you definitely have my professional curiosity peaked. Wow!
I'm sure you won't reveal HOW you know what you know, but that sure doesn't prevent me from wondering about it!!!
Pretty cool
TexasDave
Sara, I sent you an email but I don't believe you can access that site from that page I sent, because it is a copy. Here is the link and scroll down until you see Special Report. The PDF document is in blue letters. Just click on it and you are taken to the page.

Hope it works for you and anyone else who cares to read and learn from this wonderful teacher.

LOL I just got caught up on some of these crazy posts and discovered that the statements in the post about 'smelling a rat', etc, turned out to be false?? lol
So funny. :)
At first I thought we, or rather "granny" should apologize...but after all that MC or whoever it is has written, it propbably is not an issue for them!
lol
Shalom, all! Please bear with me -- Mac posted a link to Bill Koenig's site ("The 3500-year Biblical Connection to President Bush's Arrival in Israel") that's just set my mind abuzzin' tring to put things together. The essay is by Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, Puyallup, Washington.
Pastor Biltz starts by linking President Bush's speech calling for the division of Jerusalem and supporting the division of Israel, with Deuteronomy 1:3-8. To summarize, in the 40th year on 1 Shevat (first day of the 11th month), Moses told the people what G_D told him: "I have given that land over to you. Go now and occupy the land I swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I would give to them and to their descendants." Bush gave his speech on 1 Shevat, 5768, the 40th year following the unification of Jerusalem.
Next, Pastor Biltz refers to Zechariah 1:7-21. (This is the part that's blowing my mind.) In it, Zechariah describes a vision he had on 24 Shevat (which would be on January 31 this year.) The vision describes the riders the Lord has sent out to "walk to and fro through the earth." And the angel who is his guide asks the Lord, "O LORD of hosts, how long will you be without mercy for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah that have felt your anger these seventy years?"
And the angel who spoke with me said to me, Proclaim: Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am deeply moved for the sake of Jerusalem and Zion, and I am exceedingly angry with the complacent nations; whereas I was but a little angry, they added to the harm. (The "complacent nations" were the nations around Judah, especially Edom/Jordan, who had enjoyed their present prosperity and security at Judah's expense.) Therefore, says the LORD: I will turn to Jerusalem in mercy; my house shall be built in it, says the LORD of hosts, and a measuring line shall be stretched over Jerusalem. Proclaim further: Thus says the LORD of hosts: My cities shall again overflow with prosperity; the LORD will again comfort Zion, and again choose Jerusalem.
Zechariah is then shown four horns. These horns represent the nations from the four corners of the earth who invaded and devastated the land of Judah. Zechariah is also shown four blacksmiths, which represent the powers used by G_D to destroy the enemies of His people. (KJV translates the powers as "carpenters", others translate it as "craftsmen"; I prefer the translation "blacksmiths" because it lines up with Isaiah 44:12 and 54:16, which describe blacksmiths creating weapons for destruction.) Jerusalem will be a city without walls because the Lord will "be a wall of fire around her."
My feeling is that Zechariah 1:7-21 will be fulfilled on the 31st. It will be fulfilled in a way that is both terrible and wonderful and fraught with danger. Zechariah 2 talks about the nations that plundered Judah being plundered themselves, and "Many nations will join themselves to the LORD in that day and will become My people." And Zechariah 3 talks about the restoration of the priesthood, where the sins of the people are taken away. There is only one way the sins of the nation could be forgiven for the entire people of Israel: the sacrifice of a red heifer.
Yet before that happens, something even greater happens to bring this sacrifice about: the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant from its hiding place under the Temple Mount.
Zechariah 2:10 says, "Sing for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," declares the LORD. We've all been thinking strictly of the construction of the Third Temple; yet the Israelites carried the Presence of the Lord with them in the Ark. If the Ark is found again by the Muslim workers digging under the Dome of the Rock, that would be the proof needed to refute the Mullah's claims that the Temple never existed in Jerusalem. Can you imagine the effect such a discovery would have on Israel's national identity? Can you imagine the number of non-observant Jews who would become observant in the face of this proof of their history? All these Jews from many nations joining themselves to the Lord.
Once the Ark is secured from the Muslims, it could be placed in a tent, which would serve until the Temple is rebuilt. As for the red heifer, when the last known candidate was born back in 2002, quite a few people wanted to shoot it right away in order to keep war from breaking out. The heifer was disqualified after a few months, and to the public's knowledge there have been no other red heifers born. However there are rumors, and it's very possible that there is a red heifer out there that is being kept in secret.
Of course, this would blow any possible "Roadmap for Peace" to bits. After a discovery of this nature, there could be no question of dividing Jerusalem. There might even be armed conflict that would result in the expulsion of Fatah from Judea and Samaria, and possibly even from Gaza. Given the feelings of Palestinians living in Israel and even some living in Gaza, an Israeli take-over of these territories might be condemned by the world but greeted with joy by the Palestinians living there.
And what of President Bush and his plans for a State of Palestine? He won't have the time or the inclination to return to visit Israel. He will have his hands full dealing with the stock market crash that will occur on the 31st of January. (The crash may occur on Tuesday, the 29th, since bad things usually happen to the stock market on Tuesdays.) I think President Bush's statements have sealed America's fate. A stock market crash will mean the Democrats will win the White House (Probably Obama), which means withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan, not because we want to but because we simply won't have the money to project our power as we used to. When Gog/Magog happens, we'll just be sitting on the sidelines.
Thoughts, anyone?
<><
Shalom, all! I was just getting ready to close up for the night, when I went back to check on Joel's blog one more time. Late Night Lisa left a message about the dream her daughter had. Then it struck me: the scenario I just posted involved finding the Arc of the Covenant, so the Presence of the Lord could dwell once more in Jerusalem. In other words,
...
"Jehovah is coming back."
Thanks for that input, Mr C. Between your analysis and Alesia's sleuthing skills I'll be lying awake in my closet tonight wondering when "they're" coming to get me!

Hi all,
Wanted to pass along this prayer request.
As many know, I pray regularly for a little boy, Jacob, who has a very rare immune disorder. I won't go into all the details, but he is still suffering from the skin troubles and has made no progress on the eating issues, likely because of the nasal tube that is in his throat and has possibly caused damage to the tissue. Because his condition is so rare, treatment is mostly trial and error. He will be age-ready for school in about 18 months, but there are many hurdles to face before he can begin that part of his childhood. Please join me (or continue to join me) in prayers for his complete healing and that much is learned about his condition so that others can be treated more easily in the future.
If you want to read the latest on the family blog, it's www.cure4treebeard.org. Sorry to keep hammering at this, but my heart is touched by this little one and I want to do what I can to bless him.
Thanks,
Jen
Jen, I've been praying for Jacob all along. The uncertainties must be difficult for this family. Some of us learn to trust thru our own stupidity and stubborness, others thru real trial and pain.
I pray that this family continues to trust God, and that Jacob is as comfortable as possible until his healing manifests.

Hi Jim- that was a very thought provoking senerio you posted! Can you help me understand the 70yrs in Zech.? It appears that we're 10yrs short of 70? Also, it was my understanding that 2007 was the 40th year after 1967-
thanks!

Hi Campsmore- when did the Holocaust start? The first gas chambers started operating in 1942. Kristalnacht was in 1938. Meanwhile back in Palestine the Moslems were attacking the Jewish population. Not sure when the Grand Mufti went to Berlin to meet with Hitler and came up with the 'final solution'. I have the info somewhere......
Hi all- I have been considering Zech. 14:2,3,4ff. Vs.2 appears to be describing the fight for Jerusalem in 1948. the only detail I haven't been able to verify is the raping of women. Then, IF there is a gap between vs2 and 3, vs.3 appears to be describing the fight for Jerusalem in 1967. No one [that I know of] disputes that the Almighty fought for Israel during that war. If verses 2 and 3 are already history, the next event is vs4 and following!
thoughts, comments, insight-anyone?
Hi Guys,
Joel has a new post 11/01/08.
Keep the cave safe and happy but don't get side tracked with others. MC is quiet abrupt and I personaly do not like is manner. His last post was not very nice!
Have a Christ centered weekend.
jeri.
PS. Mr. Hyde time to post again!
Since my state's primary is February 5, I decided to watch the Republican debates last night. First, some observations:
1. I wish the candidates had been more direct in answering the questions.
2. I wish they had been asked about social security.
3. I wish there had been more discussion of Israel.
4. I was a little dismayed to see emotional thinking creeping into their arguments.
Now some conclusions.
1. I still don't know who to vote for, but it could be worse. I could be registered Democrat.
2. Now I understand why God was upset when the Israelites said they wanted a king.
Jim,
My thought about finding the arc of the covenant was that the Muslims would destroy it. I guess I must have been tired when I read it because this morning I remembered what scripture tells us happened to those who touched it and weren't supposed to.
><>
One more thing to add to my observations list:
5. I wish Grumpy had been sitting beside me to analyze the answers to the economic questions.
interesting scenario Jim
my first thought was that you had too much starbucks just before going to be and couldn't sleep :-)
so we wait.
two side notes.
I have been praying about schooling for our son and our prayers have been answered for two years. The montessori program is only two years long at the moment. no answer for beyond the year 2009. Is that because we won't need an answer beyond that time or God has decided we don't need to have plans in place at this moment beyond 2009? Could be either truthfully.
On the other hand. Many of you will recall we have been expecting the imminent demise of our collie due to nasal cancer diagnosed in april 2006. We just had blood work done on him a couple of days ago and the vet said he is the healthiest terminally ill dog he's ever seen. I had prayed that God would spare the dog on behalf of my son who still sometimes cries about missing his kitty. I think I shall have to pray a little more fervently about the dog for healing of his arthritis and senility. Ye have not because ye ask not-perhaps in hind sight I shouldn't have been afraid to have my son pray for healing of the kitty or I should have prayed for the kitty for healing instead of crying and accepting the inevitable. I didn't want him to learn at age 4 that sometimes God answers prayers with a no-that's difficult enough to deal with at age 45. how does one explain something so abstract to a preschool child?
Lightshine-
we don't mind having you here even though you aren't blue. follow the rules Alesia posted-you always have I think.
out of curiosity-how did you know we were here?
Jib,
I'm glad to see your comment about healing for your animals. My cat, Chelsea, has been very sick the last several months with heart disease & asthma - I'm devastated. She's 17 & very much a part of my family, my little girlie.
The thing is, I've prayed for her healing but felt funny about doing so. I even have placed my hands on her & asked God to please use my hands to heal her. I can tell you even though I thought I might be wrong in doing so, she was breathing much better the next few days!
So, after all that, IS it appropriate to pray for our pets?
Lightshine - are you Gail?
I'm curious about lightshine too and am glad others are as well.
I was wondering about the rules alesia posted... what are they? I can't remember seeing them.
Donna,
The rules:
In an effort to keep our secret safe-haven here, may I recommend the following:
Mac – Don’t post on Joel’s as Mr Hyde. It’s such a good thing you have 2 identities!
Not to sound too paranoid but maybe you should delete some of Hyde’s comments from the last Joel post too.
Please no one reference this blog at Joel’s. Or even a reference to a “secret” blog (because then people will snoop)
Remove the link to Hyde’s in your favorites, if you have a blog.
Also, I'm pretty sure I know who lightshine is. Am waiting for her answer to me. Lastnight someone requested to come to the cave, we checked her out & is ok.
Shalom, all! Joel has a new post up.
Sounds good to me!
<><
Alesia, I pray for my kitty cat all of the time. She caught a cold last winter and was sneezing and lost her voice. She was also feverish and I didn't want her to suffer. She is God's gift to us as a pet and I placed my hand on her head and prayed, "Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I ask that you bring healing to Shabot and set her free from all sick and diseases in His precious name. She is your creation and your gift to Jim and I and I thank you for the healing." Shabot layed on my lap for about two hours and then got down, walked to the door and meowed! The door is a good 20 feet from the kitchen. She had no voice when she first got on my lap but after praying for her, the healing started. I didn't heal her, my Abba Father did.
So, yes, pray for your pets.

Lightshine, Shalom!
This is going to reply to a couple of your messages.
re: 5:38 AM: I'm afraid all I have about the 70 years is a possible link to the 70 weeks of Daniel. If it IS supposed to be a literal 70 years, and if we consider Kristalnacht (Crystal Night, the night when all the Jewish-owned businesses in Germany were attacked, causing the streets to be filled with broken glass or "crystal") the beginning of the Holocaust, then the 70 years would be up in (drum roll, please) 2008.
Don't forget that the organized murder of Jews started long before the gas chambers stared running. Initially, the Jews were taken into the forests, lined up in front of trenches, and shot so they'd fall in the trenches. That method proved to be too costly. Officially, it was considered a waste of bullets; in truth it was because of the high rate of suicide among the executioners. Next, they used specially modified trucks. The Jews would be loaded into the trucks after being told they were going to be transferred to a new camp. When the trucks were driving away, the truck exhaust would be routed to the inside of the truck. By the time the trucks reached the burial sites, the Jews would be dead or unconscious, their bodies would be dumped into the trenches, and buried. Again, this became too inefficient, since it used gasoline needed for the war effort. This lead to the design of the entry station - gas chamber - oven sequence that we all know and love today for its sheer efficiency. Since the organized murder started before the ovens started running, I would think Kristallnacht would be the logical date for the beginning of the Holocaust. It marked the end of Jewish persecution as a hobby and made it a policy of the government. After that, the Nazis started making plans and decisions (what about Jews who have converted to Christianity? What to do with non-Jews who married Jews before the Nurenburg Laws prohibited that?) on how to erase the Jewish race.
As for the Grand Muffti, he arrived in Germany sometime in 1940. After war was declared in 1939, his pro-Nazi speeches and agitation made him a target by the British. Before he could be arrested, he fled the country, and was smuggled a few months later into German-held territory.
re: 6:56 AM: Yes, Jewish women of Jerusalem were raped during the fight for Jerusalem. It is such a common treatment by Arab soldiers against any civilian population (Muslim or non-Muslim) that it's simply a given. It's considered the ultimate insult to the husband, father, or brother: a man who cannot protect his women is not a man; and under Islamic law the enemy's women are considered legitimate spoils of war.
You're right; I hadn't thought about Zech. 14:2 and 3 referring to events separated in time, but if so, then your analysis matches up very well! It would be interesting to see what kind of fault line (if any) runs under the Mount of Olives. As for verse 8, with "living waters flowing out of Jerusalem" to the sea, to me that doesn't speak of literal waters. If "the sea" refers to the mass of nations that exist in that direction (to the east and to the west), that could refer to Israel once again being a light for all nations. The finding of the Ark would not only result in many Jews becoming observant, but also many people (most likely Muslim-based believers) in countries to the east (Jordan, Iraq, Iran) and to the west (Egypt, Libya, Morrocco, and other north African nations) coming to faith in Christ Jesus -- the living water, which has its source in Jerusalem. This would probably happen after Gog/Magog, which in turn will probably happen between May 15 (beginning of the 60th year of the Modern State of Israel) and June 7 (end of 40th year of the unification of Jerusalem).
(As for the dates, I'm going to have to see if I can find how to translate between the Gregorian calendar and the Jewish calendar, since the "May 15" and "June 7" dates might be different in the Jewish calendar. "Kristalnacht" happened the night of Nov. 9-10 in 1938; I'll check to see what that date would be in the Jewish calendar.)

Just curious about something. I know Huckabee is a (former) pastor, but does he believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God? Has he given any hint of his eschatological beliefs? I've understand he doesn't believe in macro-evolution, but beyond that and his answer to the "wives submit" ad last night, I haven't heard anything about his beliefs. I'm sure it's out there, and I haven't paid attention.
><>
Jim - Very thought provoking...I am interested to research that more.
Angie - I watched last night too. I have been having a discussion with a friend of mine via email. This was my take on last night...
Just my opinion...
"So I watched the Republican debate last night that they held in South Carolina since I haven't actually been able to catch a live debate yet and have had to rely on my own research to this point. It was interesting. [My wife] and I both watched it and she was surprised to hear that I thought Thompson clearly won. I was impressed with him last night, and while I laughed out loud at his "virgins" comment, hopefully it did not come off to some people as too flippant. Personally, I liked it, but I'm a redneck, so go figure.
I felt bad for Ron Paul as I think he has two major hurdles against him. First, his presence is not imposing at all, and in this media driven age, that can't help him. He seemed confused sometimes as well, and while opinionated, I think lacked a real plan. I do agree with some of his points, however. It does seem a bit counter-intuitive to support Israel and her enemies simultaneously, though I understand the reasons why we do it.
Romney weaseled out of the abortion question and dodged a couple of other questions early on so I checked him into the "no longer listening to you" hotel early on in the debate.
McCain is riding the war-hero status and I was unimpressed by immigration answer. He talks about secure borders while representing the state with the worst illegal problem in the country. Sort of makes you wonder if he gets it at all. Lots of talk of his record, but I’m more interested in his future plans at this point.
Going on that point, Huckabee got on my nerves with the opinion that we don't need to round every illegal up because we didn't bring them here, they should get themselves home. It’s a little asinine, in my opinion, to think that they will just leave because you say so. Does he think they don't know they are here illegally? I also noticed he did not deny raising taxes in Arkansas but did attempt to justify it by calling it "giving hope". To whom was hope given I wonder?
I loved Thompson's idea of jacking these "sanctuary" cities up by telling them to knock it off or taking away their federal money. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, New Jersey and San Francisco. I did understand Giuliani's point that he told NYC cops not to ask about immigration status because he didn't want crimes to go unreported. I've dealt with that issue first hand and got answers only when we told them we didn't care if they were illegal. Truth be told, as mayor of NYC, that really isn't his problem as much as it is the federal government's. His first loyalty at the time was and should have been to keep NYC safe. So it makes sense from a practical point of view if not a popular one.
Overall, I would say Thompson won the debate, but we'll see if that helps him any."
I haven't heard back from my buddy yet, but it's early. Knowing him, he may be on page 7 of his response by now
Both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh have said negative things about Huckabee today.
Huckabee told Glenn his show was the ramp to the surge, then Huckabee told another showhost his show propelled his surge.
Rush has been exposing Huckabee's past voting record and liberal accomplishments while in office.
I need a divine answer on who to vote for.
I might go back to my original thought even though nobodys talking about him.
Hi all-I learned of the new gathering place from a post on Endtimes site. I don't comment much, but I always read the comments others have. I have learned so much, and have been blessed so much by all of you!I'm not Gail or the person who requested entrance to the cave last night. I'm Jamie.
great granny- thanks for the websites! I read the Rise and fall of the Third Reich when I was eight and fifty years later I'm still tracking it.
Jim-Thankyou so much! These verses have been on my mind for such a long time- it looked like a duck, I just didn't know if it quacked :]
There is in fact a fault line that runs under Jerusalem, from the Dead Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. It was discovered in 1967 by the US Geological Survey. There is also a HUGE resevoir of water under Jerusalem. I have some more info on this.......somewhere [I have got to get organized]. I believe there will be literal water flowing out of Jerusalem [Ezekiel 47], but I also believe in your interpetion. There is often both a spiritual and a literal meaning.Let me know what you find out about the calendar.I've been trying to find one as well.

Campsmore said:
"I need a divine answer on who to vote for."
I agree that is something we all need. It made me think about the answer though. Considering that His thoughts are not our thoughts, nor ways our ways...and given the fact that I would expect your prayers,as well as mine, would ask for God to reveal who he wants in the Oval office..what could that mean? While I would want a person in office that will fix things that need fixing and honor God, is that in the cards. While we should vote for the one we discern most embodies that, and pray for that discernment, it makes me wonder if God will put into office the one who He knows will not make it better but will play the correct role in the His perfect plan. That may not be a good role and may cause us to think that he/she is a bad president, but will be instrumental to fulfillment of prophecy. A situation of others meaning for evil what God means for good. truth be told, if we are living in the end times, as I believe we are, things are not going to improve until Jesus gets here. They get worse.
The Jewish calendar is 360 days. Someone on the internet may have a conversion chart.
Am wondering who made the post at Endtimes. Is there any way to delete that?
Lightshine - am happy you're here, don't get me wrong, am just fearful of undesirable others.
Jewish/Civil Calendar Program Kind of instructions on how to use a program.
It's all greek to me.
And yet another...I still don't understand.
Tables for Converting Dates from the Gregorian into the Jewish Calendar
Boroeagle, just think of all the PR that God received because of Pharoah at the time of the exodus. Now, if there had been a more understanding, righteous dude a pharoah, Israel could have left much earlier with far fewer problems, and then Egpyt would have lived to make difficulties for them during the conquest.
I picked up a nite-shift job (definitely not my favorite time) at the wages I want in an area that I enjoy, beginning on Monday. We will see whether I survive, and will wait to see when God wants me back in ministry. It looks like it will be a low-stress situation. PTL.
I personally am not familiar with the Endtimes site.
Can you send us a link to this post at Endtimes, lightshine?
Thanks <><
Shalom, all!
OK. I found a Gregorian/Hebrew date converter here. It's a site where you enter the Gregorian date and it will give you the Hebrew date, and vice versa. Here are some of the dates mentioned in in my previous post (Gregorian dates start at sundown the day before):
"Kristalnacht", night of Nov. 9-10 in 1938 (since it was after sundown, I gave the date as Nov. 10), 16 Cheshvan 5699 in the Hebrew calender. 16 Cheshvan 5769 is on Nov. 14, 2008.
Birth of Israel, May 15 1948, 6 Iyyar 5708 in the Hebrew calender. 6 Iyyar 5768 is on May 11, 2008. (They waited until after sundown to make sure the British had left before declaring independence, so you'll see the Gregorian date listed as either May 14 or May 15, but the official date is 6 Iyyar, which started at sundown on the 14th.)
Liberation of Temple Mount, June 7, 1967 (28 Iyyar 5727 in the Hebrew calender.) 28 Iyyar 5768 is on June 2, 2008.
Here's something to consider if we're going to be using the Hebrew calender. The 40th year of the Liberation of Temple Mount began on 28 Iyyar 5767, which was May 16, 2007, and will end on June 2, 2008. The 60th year of Israel begins on May 11, 2008 and ends April 30, 2009. (So there are 22 days of overlap between the 40th year and the 60th year.) The 70th year of Kristalnacht begins Nov. 14, 2008 and ends Nov. 3, 2009
Do any of those dates jump out at anyone?

Angie, Shalom! To answer your question of 10:43 AM, Huckabee is a former Baptist preacher. Huckabee has gotten into trouble because he's stated that Mitt Romney isn't a Christian because he's a Mormon. Glenn Beck is Mormon, so you can guess where Huckabee is on HIS list. I'm not too sure how to take the claims of a "surge" after being on any one talk show. Steven Colbert is the one that got that joke rolling, claiming that any increase in a candidate's poll numbers after having been on his show was as a result of having been on "The Colbert Report." Huckabee may have been treating Glenn Beck in the same way, or he may have been playing along with Colbert while being serious with Beck. I don't know, and I don't think we'll get any kind of usable answer out of Huckabee. Back when I was dating, I could have told him about the dangers in telling more than one girl at one time that she was the prettiest. I think talk show hosts are the same way.

Oh my goodness, Joel's has turned into some kind of lunatic asylum!
M is definitely not T like they think there. But he does remind me of the killer in the movie Seven! Very misguided & aggresive/angry to say the least.
Maybe y'all should just ignore him.
Marcel only quotes old testament. He refers to Christians, not ever claiming to be one so I suspect he is Jewish.
He is an angry person, no doubt.
Lori,
good point-I hadn't noticed that but I do believe you are correct with your observations. perhaps someone should ask?
why ask? does it really matter?
I say ignore him, but that's just MO
Lightshine,
Are you the same Jamie, that requested someone buy and read, (to comment on, etc.) The American Prophecies, by Michael D. Evans, on Joel's Blog, quite a long time ago now? Anyhow, I bought the book, and it is excellent! (but I believe I've told you that, right?)
Anyway, even if you're not the same Jamie? It's a wonderful book, and I'd recommend it to anyone :)
God bless!
Jib,
I believe you're right in correcting this guy. By staying silent, IMO, others may think we agree with him? I dunno. Just my take on it.
Donna
Endtime site is another bloggers site. He has an interesting take on end times events. He is a big fan of Ellis Skofield and if I recall correctly is of the presterist/amillenial school of thought. There have therefore been rather heated debates in the past. He still occasionally wanders by Joel's and posts although not much. I would have paid good money to see donkey interact with him although he would be far too gentlemanly I 'm sure. He posts at
http://caffeinejournal.blogspot.com/
he has some interesting thought provoking material on his site. better know your stuff though if you intend to engage him in a debate as he is highly knowledgeable.
oddly enough he says he's located in Afghanistan too. Not what I remember but it has been awhile since I stopped by his site.
do you suppose he might be in the next cave over?
ALESIA
Got the post taken care of at Endtimes. By the way, you would probably really enjoy his articles. Endtime was a regular at one time but then some disagrees came about and he decided to move on. I still enjoy reading his material and LW is betting him 1000 Lattes at the Heavenly Cafe when we get there on something that was discussed.
He is a good person and a sincere Christian who lives what he preaches.

To clear the air on what I believe about MC
He is not anyone other than who he says he is! Not a threat to any of us but a real challenge none the less.
You want to find the Donkey, just ask and I will give you a link to her current blog. But as far as I am concerned, forget her! Move on!
No boogie man in this cave.
Mr.Hyde, if they come to get you (Jim and Alesia) grab Mac's WORLD GYM T and dazzle the daylights out of them.
You know, I am really disappointed in our presidents latest visit to Israel and I am going to write and tell him so. He doesn't have to act like that all of the time when he has been advised by men of great understanding and wisdom just what the truth really is.
It has really disturbed me and I, for one, intend to voice my opinion to him personally. He always likes the good comments, now let's see how he handles critique.

Hi Jib-Endtime is a fan of E. Skolfield, but, he is not an ammil/preterist. I'm on board with many of Skolfields conclusions as well-Endtime posts them frequently
Marge-yes! I am the one that posted about 'American prophecies'. I actually purchased a second copy in the hopes that I could convince someone to read and discuss it with me. No luck....
I've just finished reading Rabbi Kohens book- he's the one who wrote book the article about the 1800 yr drought [that was discussed on Joels a few weeks ago] was taken from. Very compelling! Endtime also ordered it,and I'm eager to hear his thoughts. Jim? were you going to get it as well?
Thanks for all the leads on the calendar. It would be interesting to get all the dates from the O.T. and track them thru history, see if anything significant happened. I have a list of 9th of Av, but thats it. the only other date I have is the 24th of Chisleu[some use a differant spelling]- on this day:520BC-the foundaation of the second temple is laid
168BC-the abolition of temple sacrifice by AntiochusIV
165BC- the recapture of the temple and cleansing of the sanctuary
1917,[12 Dec.]- Gen. Allenby conquers Jerusalem. also the first night of Hanukkah in 1917.
Jim, I'm adding your list to my file-thanks.Nothing is jumping out at me yet.
granny-I'll be checking out all your Holocaust links. One of the things I'm tracking is significant dates of the Holocaust and matching them to the Jewish calendar. This will help alot!
jamie
Hi Jamie...glad you are not one of the bogey men! :)
MC is pretty intense to say the least.
I have a sneaking feeling he is getting all of his "theology" from the author and the book he listed as his favorite "The Day of the Lord is at Hand" by Benjamin Baruch.
Here's a bit of info:
"Benjamin Baruch's book, The Day of the LORD is at Hand is causing a firestorm in the religious arena, challenging traditional beliefs held by many that the United States is strangely absent from Bible prophecy. Indeed, the United States is described directly in Bible prophecy and we are now living in the last days of America.
Benjamin's book presents a clear understanding into the sealed prophecies of the Bible including a detailed analysis of the future events which will shake our nation including a stock market collapse, nuclear attack on America, martial law, concentration camps for "enemy combatants" and World War III.
2000 YEARS AGO JESUS CAME, yet the religious leaders of the day missed their hour of visitation, having misunderstood Bible prophecy. Today the last days church in America is making the same mistake. Once again, the LORD has raised up voices in the wilderness to speak the truth. This is their account!"
MC is messianic, like Granny said, "Not a threat to any of us but a real challenge none the less."
I just don't like being in the firing line.
It's offending to have someone so angry at you like that, for no reason at all.
I'll try to not take it so personally.
Jamie,
Good to hear from you again!
I'm sorry about being so slow in responding to the book :( But, I did read it, although we never commented on it, and it was (and is) excellent!
Donna,
Thanks for the heads up about MC. He sounds like he's one angry guy!
Granny 5,
I believe the 1,000 Latte bet that LW, and Endtime have going on, is who's right about the timing of the Rapture.
Jib,
You're right about Endtime. He was always a Gentleman. And no, I don't remember agreeing with him, about much of anything, but he was always good natured about his opinions :)
Campsmore...whose the cute little guy in your picture? So sweet!!
Donna, the sweet little guy is my youngest when he was three, he's now 16.
When he saw me with the camera he lifted the stick and said in the lowest voice he could muster, "I can lift this giant stick over my head."
So cute!
Jim..all of those dates and info looks interesting...I hope to spend some time looking it all over sometime or other.
If you come to any conclusions of any sort, let us know!
BTY the little guy is over 6ft now.
