good news about the baby.
We still need to be praying for the folks in Houston though here is an excerpt from my sister in law about the status there-
"The adjuster is from out of town (they have roof damage), he said that he couldn’t find a hotel anywhere in the city (due to homeland security people), he was staying at a hotel by the airport (about an 1 hour away from us) and that most of his clients were on our side of town, that’s quite a commute.
It is still challenging to get around town. Many major intersections still do not have power making it hard to get through them. It took hubby two hours to get home from work yesterday. (I recall usually only takes him about 45 minutes)
The grocery stores are starting to see more fresh foods (many were without perishable items for at least a week), and the lines at gas stations have diminished.
The hot humid weather has returned, our hearts go out to those who do not have electricity, it is stifling to live in this heat without a/c. "

pray for me-I am having neurologic testing done this AM. There is a question as to whether a fairly serious, but self limited, disease was missed the first time I had the testing done. It is also quite painful to have this testing done. they will be sticking needles in me and zapping me with electricity or as hubby calls it being lightly tasered. they will be doing this in the still somewhat sore foot. likely a good thing I didn't know this was happening today or I'd have been really anxious about it.
Regarding the Rapture-let's hope it isn't in the afternoon my time as the patient's I would be working on at that time wouldn't appreciate it for sure. ha.

What a state of privilege! It includes our justification before God, but the term "acceptance" in the Greek means more than that. It signifies that we are the objects of divine complacence, nay, even of divine delight. How marvellous that we, worms, mortals, sinners, should be the objects of divine love! But it is only "in the beloved." Some Christians seem to be accepted in their own experience, at least, that is their apprehension. When their spirit is lively, and their hopes bright, they think God accepts them, for they feel so high, so heavenly-minded, so drawn above the earth! But when their souls cleave to the dust, they are the victims of the fear that they are no longer accepted. If they could but see that all their high joys do not exalt them, and all their low despondencies do not really depress them in their Father's sight, but that they stand accepted in One who never alters, in One who is always the beloved of God, always perfect, always without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing, how much happier they would be, and how much more they would honour the Saviour!

Mr. Hyde you asked about our Horn blowing schedule. You have my permission to blow your horn anytime you want. Just make sure you don't lisp. LOL Spit in the horn will rot it.
Now on a serious note, after I read Mr. Hyde's question, I mentally formed a picture of what the horn being blown on Rosh Hashanah would seem like from Heaven. If there were people all blowing the horn at the precise time, it might echo around the world and cause an earthquake, volcano, whatever. But if, instead, we blew it in our time zones on a specific day and hour the horn blowing could last for as long as we have time zones. How many times zones does this world have?
Now that would have to get the attention of God. Not that we have to devise schemes to do that but the horn would be blown at least 24 hours.
Can you all imagine what the 1000 year reign of Christ will be like? I heard a very noted bible scholar describing the things that will be done when Jesus returns for the Jews and it is a beautiful picture. I have more or less put the millennium into a little closet of things I will learn more about Later but after hearing this teacher, I have this big itch to dig a little deeper in scriptures for the nuggets.
What seemed to be beyond comprehension before just opened up and walla, there was the beauty of God's provisions and reconciliation with His beloved Jews. Don't you just love Abba!

PS: Heard from Susan this morning and the baby is doing fantastically. They told Jen if she wanted to be able to go see the baby she would have to be able to get herself into the wheelchair. Marge, Grany, Mac & all of the Zola Levitt admirers -Thank you for the apologies & concerns-really it's no big deal.
It's not unlike me to post something which will possibly spark some type of controversy.
My overreaction is in part to thinking I'm posting a kitten when it turns into a Lion and bites my head off.
What I've seen of of Levitt's ministry has been great & that's why I had signed up for the newsletter & was surprised to see something that could be interpreted as negative.
But then-I also like Billy Graham and he ended up going w/the worldly flow of these encumenicals.While they state their ultimate goal is religious tolerance & education it's actually also about compromising religious beliefs in order to "all get along."
I feel this to be a tool which is being used to set up a One World Religion under the New World Order. We are currently witness to the beginnings of the One World Economy.
It's a very subtle ploy but if you've study what happened to Billy Graham you know how he transitioned from what an
"Evangelical" used to be into a person of compromise and likeable to the world. He now gets along with every religious denomination because basically he publicly states the "all roads lead to" path.
Dr. Billy Graham told Parade Magazine, "I fully adhere to the fundamental tenets of the Christian faith for myself and my ministry, but as an American, I respect other paths to God."
When someone splits off on that PC fork I'm not going with them.
On the other had I had bought a book called "The Journey" How to Live by Faith in an Uncertain World, by Billy Graham. It was published in 2006 and I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't find anything suspect at all. My husband thinks it's one of the best Christian books he's read.Graham speaks of Jesus Christ all the way though it.
So if someone reads this book & thinks its OK then if they are not Bible literate then they may believe "everything" that comes out of the mouth of Mr. Graham. That's the problem. There are many things I'm sure he has to say which are great for instruction but what about the words with don't line up with the Bible?

As far as Zola Levitt & the Encumenical Movement goes-I have not idea if or how far he took the concept of "getting along." It was just something that caught my attention in that article.
It's natural to want to be peaceable with all religions but I don't want to "get along" at the expense of altering the truths of God's word in compromise.
Like w/Graham. In the book he says one thing but in public situations depending upon who he's addressing he says entirely another. What are you suppose to believe about the guy? One of the greatest Evangelical teachers of all time?
Look @ how many he's led to Christ in his lifetime but what is the end result for Mr.Graham?
Is he one of the elect who was led astray?
Another update oh Jennifer, Susan and baby Kaitlynn....the neurosurgeon came in today and said that at this point the baby does not need a shunt!!! He will be back on Friday and reevaluate her. Miracles, miracles and God's kindness everywhere.
Once again, thank you for your prayers and let's all agree that Kaitlynn would not need a shunt on Friday either.

I just have to share this with you all.
This is funny and true--
A man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman On a busy boulevard.
Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, Even though he could have beaten the red light by
Accelerating through the intersection.
The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.
As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.
He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.
After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.
He said, 'I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him.'
I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, The 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School'bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk; so naturally...I assumed you had stolen the car.'

I have been long distressed about what Mr Graham has said in his later years. I would like to blame it on his parkinson's but don't know that I can. There was a book written recently about Graham as pastor to the presidents and it was not all peaches and roses and seemed at least superficially to be a balanced book. sorry can't remember the name. I still see him as one of the elect but you are right on with the statement that if a non discerning person read that book and then turned to other books they could get very confused. Not sure what happened to his "only Christ" message.
regarding my tests-ouch my feet hurt and I'm bruised as well. both muscle and sensation nerves are affected but he isn't sure why-he's now leaning to some sort of genetic problem-oh great-or perhaps something that happened to me much earlier in life. there will be more testing in the future. whatever it is, it is not worse than it was 8 years ago. my mother is very anxious now. Me not so much-it doesn't bother me a whole lot really and doesn't interfere with my life for the most part so who knows.

I have a little story to tell you and I hope you all do not find it odd....
I have really been worrying ( and praying about that date) because I know that the rest of my family will think I am nuts...I want to stand up and be counted for the Lord, however. I have been asking the Lord what I should do. It is usually a day I would work.
I got a traffic ticket a few weeks ago, which I was quite upset about. I have had two of them in the last two years and none for almost 30 years before that. (I have driven for a living for the past 5 years)
I have really prayed and repented of not paying enough attention when I am driving and took it as a warning from the Lord.
Since my court date is mid day I am just taking a day of vacation so not to interrupt my work schedule.
My court date is none other than September 29th....my entire morning is free.
God works all things for my good. I am humbled and grateful. I will be joining all the rest of you.

This is the most "crediable" testimony of UFO activity I've yet seen. They are top military officials & 1st hand witnesses.

If I remember right we've at -6 GMT/UTC here in central (texas) time zone, that'd make you -8 GMT in Cali. I think "they" changed the name of GMT (Grenwich mean time) to UTC a few years ago. But 0 GMT is in England, hence + 3 Jerusalem. And there are 24 time zones, but see the map to see which one you are in. Parts of Arizona and oceania get weird.

Arizona is a problem because they don't do Daylights Savings Time. All of Arizona is in the Mountain Time zone, and all of Arizona does not observe Daylights Savings Time, EXCEPT for the Navajo Indian Nation, which DOES observer DST.
(FWIW, Hawaii doesn't do DST either, for that matter.)
For a really cool display, go to time.gov. They've got a display that will give you time in your time zone (accurate to within 3 seconds), along with a world map that shows where the sun is shining and where it's night.

I just read and listened to McCain suspending his campaign in order to take care of Senate business and Obama refusing to. Of course, when you consider Obama has never voted for anything except being present, it is just as well that he miss those sessions. Mr. Hyde, Shalom! The graveyard shift is fine. I think I'm adapting to it with fewer problems than I expected. I've always been a bit of a night owl, I think as a result of my ADHD. As my body grows more fatigued, the distractions fade away and I can get a surprising amount of work done. Basically, I go in at 10:30PM; stare at a monitor for hours on end, occasionally answering trouble tickets; get home by 7:30AM, grab something to eat and crawl into bed for 6 hours. It's a lot better than I thought it would be. Confuses the heck out of my cats, though.
As for your closet, I hope it's large enough for you to stretch out and sleep. To sleep; perchance to dream...

I don't think it's a very high probability that Obama will dump Biden. Although the popular election may be neck and neck, this article says that Obama is leading in electoral votes (if he wins in the states where the polls have him leading or leaning to lead). According to them, Obama has 229 electoral votes; McCain has 200; while 8 states with 190 votes are undecided. 270 are needed to win. So as it stands now, there's no real political advantage to swapping VP candidates. Not to mention, but it might not be legally possible: Each state has its own deadlines for each party to officially declare what candidates are for what office. This is so the states can get the ballots printed up in time for the election. The longer it takes, the less likely that the Democrats will be able to swap people on the ballot.
If Biden drops out for whatever reason (health, "family reasons" or my favorite, from some politician in Louisiana I think, "Being caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy") then this will be problematic for the Democrats. It comes down to a) letting people vote for Biden, then have the Congress determine who the vice president should be, or b) telling people to write in Hillary's name. Either way has its problems:
1. People who vote for a straight ticket won't be able to. Depending on the state, a straight ticket means a straight ticket. You can't mark "all Democrat" on the ballot and then vote for a Republican or Libertarian dog-catcher. If they do the straight ticket, then that throws the VP selection to the Congress.
2. What if not everybody writes in Hillary's name? If the Democrats want to depend on Hillary as a write-in candidate, then plan on some HUGE problems and quite a few legal challenges. First, you'll have the people who vote for Obama-Biden, and then write in Hillary's name. I'm not sure what the legal rules are about spelling or about the form of the name -- we might wind up with Bill as VP. Second, what about people who vote Obama-Biden and then DON'T write in Hillary's name. I don't think the Election Commission simply allow all the votes for Biden to be translated to Hillary, since that assumes that there won't be some people who STILL want to vote for Biden because they DON'T want to vote for Hillary. So then we're still talking about throwing the election to the Congress.
I believe this is what they would call a "wicked googley" in cricket. Let the wild rumpus begin!

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank you for all of your concerned prayers lifted at the Throne of Grace on our behalf during the past. It is with a great burden that I share this Prayer Request with you that you may pray for us and also encourage your family and friends to go on their knees to seek the Lord on behalf of the Christians who are persecuted in Orissa, Karnataka, and in the other parts of India, during the past months, which is still continuing.
As you would be aware through the media coverage, the Christian community in Orissa, India, is facing a desperate situation as their homes are being looted and burnt, churches demolished, people beaten to death and in some gory cases the homes were locked from outside and torched killing all those who were inside. The fanatics and fundamentalists are hand in hand in these places with only a single purpose in mind and that is to wipe out the Christians and all the Gospel related activity as much as they could as they do not want to see the kingdom of God expanding on this earth.
So far hundreds of churches have been demolished to the ground, houses burnt to ashes, many people tortured, beaten and murdered, and in some cases as I have mentioned above, houses were locked from outside and torched by the fanatics.
Thousands of people have become homeless and are taking shelter in the thickets of the nearby jungle that is home to many wild animals including tigers. There is nothing to protect them from sun, rain and the cold at nights. The children have no milk to feed on, the adults have no food to eat, no clothes to change and no clean water to drink. The people keep on moving from one place to another for the fear of being detected by the fanatics. If they come into the village in search of food, they will be caught and beaten, however, people risk their lives and sneak into the nearby villages at night to grab whatever they can and return to the jungle to feed their wife and children. These kind of atrocities have been there on for years in many parts of India, but now it has taken a new dimension and very vicious.
Your prayers are very much needed for God to touch the fanatics and those who are against the spread of the Gospel, and ease out the situation that peace may reign again in these areas and that people could lead a normal life free from all fear and violence.
Thank you in advance for taking this into your heart. We love you very much and greatly appreciate your concerned prayers on our behalf.

Right now, believers in Orissa urgently need food and shelter. After the Indian government is able to stabilize the situation, believers will need help rebuilding their lives.

Today I've got what I'll call "The feeling" again. It's as bad today as I have felt it on other particular occasions. The only way I can explain it is that I somehow feel in my spirit the spiritual condition prevalent in the Church.
I'm always aware of the situation but on occasion it turns a burden.

It's really similar to how women can feel when their hormones are raging right before a period. We can cry over watching a TV commercial but laugh @ ourselves because we realize these intense emotional feelings make no logical sense.
Well when this happens it's sort of the same thing except that I know the reason & I feel pain @ a core level about it.
Reading the letter from Brother Naidoo may have set me off.
Then last night I had a weird dream. I don't think it's prophetic but it had to do w/the Tribulation and cosmic signs. I was in a room looking out a window @ night watching the sky. There were red curtains on either side & it was very dark, could see many stars, was listening for a sound (trumpet?) but the I has an ominous Huge white planet-really close-looked like the moon but it appeared diseased in the bottom left corner out the window. Black rotted spots on it-like cavities on a tooth. (Jim C?)
Then to top it off as I dropped my daughter off @ her Christian pre-school I overheard ladies in the parking lot talking about the "bean casserole" they had @ their church function. Well that really did it after being upset about the Christians having to hide in bushes! They can take their bean casserole and you know what.
There is a new group function called "Apples of Gold." I've been going to for 3 hrs on Sunday. These darling older ladies mentor us child rearing ones.
For the 1st hour someone gives a talk on something. Last week it was how to bake a cake. The 2nd hour we do a study a topic. "Children" it was. The 3rd hour we socialize & eat. Go over a few Biblical topics to apply in our lives.
It's not that this is a bad thing to do-it's really quite fun and I thoroughly enjoy the fellowship. But I can't get it out of my mind there are more important topics to discuss than spending and hour on baking cakes or nutrition.
I want to say-hello there- Anyone awake? Look @ what is happening to our nation-what are we doing here sipping our sweet teas & having a food design contest? I was asking my friend who goes to Church w/these gals if her pastor mentioned anything about what is happening to the US right now.
Nope. "I like what our pastor has to say because the message is very practical & I can apply it to my life." (But she asked me what I thought & I told her. She wants to come back over and have me teach her some more Biblical issues from a prophetic standpoint.) I really think people "fear" spiritual reality. They don't want to know because it will pull them out of their comfort zone. This one friend is willing & mentions to her friends how "interesting" I am in that I study these things. Her friends try not to show it but you should see their pupils dilate. It's really one of "Oh-I don't want to know."
Am I just too restless? Do I need to calm down or am I justifiably concerned about the room full of these sweet & lovely Baptist ladies?

Regarding the manner in which the VP is selected (and the related question of whether Hillary could replace Joe), don't forget that we will technically vote for electors on November 8, and the electors will then vote for President and Vice President (separately)on December 15. Then, on January 6, 2009, Congress will meet in joint session to count the electoral votes.
As a governor, Sarah Palin will have the responsibility to prepare seven original Certificates of Ascertainment listing the persons appointed as electors for Alaska.
Federal law requires that the Certificates of Ascertainment be prepared and authenticated in the following manner:

Determined Time, by Charles Capps:
The scripture in Daniel 9:24 revealed that God would deal with Israel in a time frame as "determined time" of seventy weeks of years (490 years) That time was determined by God Himself.
To understand "determined time" we have only but to consider a football game. It is divided into four, fifteen-minute quarters. The total determined time being one hour, but there has never been a football game played in one hour of real time. There are time-outs, there are delays of the game in which the clock is stopped for an indefinite period of time. Then the clock is turned on again and determined time begins to be counted.
We must realize that our calculations of the calendar of time does not fit God's "determined time." Only time itself will reveal the whole truth concerning this matter. But yet we must not take lightly the prophetic profiles in the Word of God which give us a deffinate determined timeline for God's dealing with mankind.

Lisa, Shalom! I agree -- your dream isn't prophetic, but it does indicate your present state-of-mind. You're looking out a window, trying to see what's coming. It is dark both outside as well as inside; no light save what penetrates the darkness all around. And while the window in front of you is clear it is covered on either side by red (blood red?) curtains, framing your vision. Through the window in the sky you see an object, "looked like the moon but it appeared diseased ... Black rotted spots on it-like cavities on a tooth." In other words, nature itself has been corrupted. The moon, which normally would be both easily recognizable and providing friendly light at night (aren't full moons on the horizon supposed to be romantic?), has been corrupted to the point where you cannot recognize it. That doesn't bode well for the light that it will be providing against the darkness. And perhaps most significant of all, it appears in the bottom left corner of the window. This means two things. First, it's at the bottom of the window, meaning it's only beginning to rise. And second, it's coming from the left. The word for "left" in Latin is "sinister." In other words, a sinister moon is rising.
Regarding your frustration and restlessness with "Apples of Gold", no, I wouldn't say you are too restless. I'd say you aren't restless enough. It would be one thing if the ministers would be preaching about the time to come. Then something like this would provide balance and perspective. But if they're worried that the fire and brimstone would burn the cakes, then they're not baking the right kind of cakes.
How about this: At your next "Apples of Gold" meeting, start it off by walking boldly into their presence and blowing your shofar. At least this way you can give them the opportunity to know, you would have fulfilled your Scriptural obligation, and their sin will not become yours.

Donna; without intending to be controversial, some propose that the treaty has already been signed by Solana ie the European Neighborhood Policy. Therefore, we are already in Daniel's 70th week.
Personally, I don't believe that. I'm still very partial to Doug Berner's scenario.

Well, since you all asked, here's some more from Charles Capps :)
An overall view of the prophetic Word reveals 6,000 years of "determined time" will finish God's dealing with man under the Earth Lease He established in Genesis 1:26-28 (also see Mark 12: 1-9) Soon after the Earth Lease expires, the Rapture will take place. Then the seven years of suspended time (70th week of Daniel) called the tribulation will begin. That seven years will fit between the sixth and seventh millennium on God's calendar. Then there will be one more 1,000 year period in which the righteous of the earth will rule and reign with Christ here on earth before eternity. (see revelation chapters 19 and 20)
Every prophetic time line from Genesis to Revelation points to 6,000 years of "determined time" before the the seven years of tribulation and then 1,000 years of peace before eternity.
Anyhow, this sums up the teaching, in capsule form. And I thought perhaps you'd like to read it.

However, I'm using the Earth Lease as my guideline. (per Charles Capps teaching. Kenneth E. Hagin also believed this, as well)
That Mark Blitz video and related info got me thinking and digging. I’m coming from a pre-wrath perspective (though I certainly would welcome the Lord calling us up anytime our Father chooses). Having said that, I think many of these observations would fit well with other views of when we will be “caught up” in the air. (I apologize if others have already pointed these things out.)
The ten days starting with Rosh Hashanah and ending with Yom Kippur are commonly known as the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim) or the Days of Repentance.

If the rapture occurs during this time and following the rapture the Lord begins to pour out His wrath, I can certainly see how these would qualify as “Days of Awe” for Jews as well as the whole world.
The Shabbat that falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is known as Shabbat Shuva (Shabbat of Returning).

For Jews who have not yet recognized Yeshua as their Messiah, I can see how this Shabbat Shuva would become a real day of repentance and returning to Him.
Shabbat Shuvah literally means "Sabbath of Return," but it is also a play on the phrase "Shabbat Teshuvah" (Sabbath of Repentance). It is the Shabbat that occurs between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and is a time for reflection leading up to the atonement of Yom Kippur. Interesting that he quoted the II Thess 2:1 gathering. If you read that entire chapter you realize that the gathering happens on the day of Christ or the day of the Lord. We also know that the day of the Lord is AFTER the tribulation. Christ in Matt 24 states that after the trib will the sun, moon and stars be darkened. Joel 2:31 tells us that these same celestial anomalies will happen BEFORE the DOTL. So the "rapture" will occur after the great trib and on the day of the Lord.
I don’t think 2 Thes 2 is as simple as that poster might think. Is the Day of the Lord really the same as the rapture? What is Paul really saying and why does he feel the need to correct the Thessalonians?

Regarding the cosmic signs before the DotL – I think the cosmic signs of the 6th seal are different to Joel 3. The Joel 3 signs occur before the DotL and IMO the verses point to the 6th bowl judgment. Armies are gathering in Joel 3 and Rev 16 before the Day of the Lord or great day of God. Are they the same thing?
Joe 3:14-15 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness.
Rev 16:12-14 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east. I'd suggest that if the rapture and the DotL were one and the same, then that may mean the rapture doesn't occur until the end of the week or after the 6th bowl.

Just wanted to let you know that they removed baby Kaitlynn's breathing tube yesterday and she is doing really well.
The neurosurgeon is checking her again today to evaluate the need of a shunt. Please pray that she will not have to have one!

Nate & that "Final Trumpet" video. It did ring a bell that war is coming upon Israel & probably us.The only difference is that Israel is promised divine protection and we are not. This Russia w/Venezuela friendship shatters the US feelings of security. They cruise their warships along our coast-good bye.
Maybe this Rosh Hashanah will signify the breaking of the 1st seal. It seems as if the chess pieces are in position to strike but the hand has not yet moved.

These all corresponde w/seals but that's the end of the "Horses." There is a 5th,6th,& 7th seal but they are not brought about by the "horses."

Now I wonder if after the "Horses" ride is when the Anti-Christ has the power to arise.Then he finializes the Temple Mount unified religious order. At this point there will be very little fight left in people and they will be desperate for peace & willing to compromise everything to obtain it.

When we were in Israel, our very precious Guide told us that there is an old custom in Israel among the Jews related to blowing the Shofar. If you pick up the horn, purse it to your lips and all you get is squeak or nothing, then you are not one chosen to sound the alarm/signal. We had 12 buses and on each bus there were 52 people in addition to the driver and guide. Out of the 620 tourist, there were on 2 that could make anything that even sounded like a sound emit from the horn. One of those two was a young man that could make it sound heavenly and our guide was ready to weep. That young man had such anointing on him that just blowing it made him weep. After we were back at our hotel, our guide, who was also a devote Jew asked Lee what he did for a living and this youngman, who resides here in my town, said he was unemployed by man but the servant of the Lord. Our guide's last name was Levni, was born in Germany and his parents were killed in the Holocaust of Hitler. He escaped to England because he just a child and after the war was one of the first ones back into Israel. We were just about the same age and hearing him talk about that era was one of the most thrilling experiences I have ever had. He told it from a perspective of having been there, breathing the fear and suspense of all the drama and the heart break of war.
But, back to the reason I am telling this. Samuel did not believe that the rapture of the church will have anything to do with Rosh Hashanah and that is why I asked you all the question "what God appointed feast does the Rapture of the Church fulfill?"
Think outside the box! I agree with Samuel and JIB and Marge. The Jews are the ones God is addressing. We are of a different Bird! We are the mystery and we are what is holding back the AC and until we are gone, he isn't. Evil has been on this earth from the Garden onward and it will be until Jesus said, "That's enough and you are going to the pit forever!" But until then, we better get busy and learn how to hold back! Hold Back the evil that is and turn God's promises and provisions loose. Binding and loosening.
I already know what the RCC believes concerning this but I am not the RCC. I am not required to go through the Great Tribulation, wrath or see the eye witnesses as they call down fire from heaven and have complete and total control over the AC's action regarding them. I will get to watch from heaven though.

This is a funny story.
I have a photographer friend Elle who's flying out here to teach some photo workshops & he is staying w/us for a week.
He's kinda crazy but in a good way. Never married, never settled. Always looking for the next adventure & prides himself on being "international." His parents are from & still live in the Philippines. He's the one I mentioned that is thinking about turning Buddhist.
Money is not his big thing. He's artistic and likes to hang out w/his friends from all countries & travel whenever he can.
Now he is the complete opposite personality type of my husband but is tolerated for my sake.
Get this. Hubby is going to leave Sunday for a week. Elle tells me he'll be here (Over Rosh Hashanah) so I figure he was sent from my adversary to distract me. **But I'm determined to carry on w/my shofar whether he's here or not.
Elle had put an add out on Craigslist for work in Nashville because he's always wanted to visit. So he get's his plane fare paid, some work to do & has met a couple of people who will take some time out & show him around town.

Nate, you are right up to a point. Let me explain. There is no difference now between Jew and Gentile because the message of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) is to the Jew first and then to the gentile. But, the Jews who are not accepting Jesus as the Messiah are going right on celebrating the OT Laws and observances. Of course, the Jews were commanded to observe them until God's Kingdom was established but no where in the new Testament are the Gentiles instructed to do so. In fact, Paul's whole ministry was a constant battle ground with the Jews who kept coming in and causing strife, trying to make the Gentiles carry out the same observances and laws that the Jews were. In fact, the trip to Jerusalem and the council there, was to get a firm decision from the Church leaders regarding this.
We are a branch grafted into the vine and just the same as we are not of the circumcision we are not of the Jewish Festivals. We can love them and respect them and watch from the side lines but we are not Jews. Unless you were born of Jewish parents. But the whole reason for the Tribulation is judgment for rebellion and turning away from the Son of God sent to be the Son of Man. That rebellion was against God and also, the refusal to carry out the Law that he had given to them as His Wife. What all of this is doing is clouding the simple fact that God said "Choose you this day life or death, blessings or curses, etc." That was in Deut. and that is part of the covenant that the wife Israel has with her husband, God. We are the Body of Christ because of our beliefs in Jesus Christ. What the blood of goats and lambs could not fulfill, Jesus Christ did. He sent Jesus to the Jews first and the religious group denied him and completed the purpose that God sent Jesus for. Jesus died for the sins of all mankind but he was sent as their Messiah.
We are talking about a Feast that will be fulfilled when the Jews call out to Jesus and they will voice this "Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord....." Jesus Christ will return then and they will indeed Succot with Him. Tabernacle with them.
But the Feasts are Jewish and not Gentile. We are all of the same vine but we are still Believers of the Son of God who is our Savior and Lord. We celebrate Easter and they celebrate Passover because it is their Feast that God ordained for them. Our celebration is the climax of their Passover, The Resurrection of Jesus, Son of God.
Pentecost was the outpouring and even in this occasion there is disagreement when the Church began. Some say it's birth was when Jesus Commissioned the Disciples and Anointed them to carry out the work that he had begun. Others say it was on Pentecost when the Holy Spirit breathed on all of the believers who were gathered in the Upper room. One day we will all know but we do know that it was instituted by and ordained by the Son of God.
When this Church Age is completed, the attention will then be focused on the Apples of God's eye and the Gentiles that remain. Rebellion will be dealt with and man's sin nature will get one last chance to be played out. Judgment does not come unless there is sin without repentance. It will the Jews who cry out for God to save them and I don't plan on being here to cry for them and see it happen.
There is some very good teaching about all of this at Dr. Fruchtenbaum's web site and if you would like to, you can download his teachings quite easily. But Nate, I didn't start believing this just in the last couple of years. No, this has been since about 1965 and changed my life forever. I had the opportunity to have a wonderful Messianic friend who was also a great Bible teacher.
I am not belittling the shofar because it is a wonderful time of Jewish Feasts. It is good to remember the things that God called to the Israelites to do in remembrance of what he has accomplished for them. It is required that we understand what the Feasts and customs are of the Jewish people and infact, enrich our life greatly. I am not belittling any of that. I am just saying, don't get carried away with it. I also don't mean to rain on anyone's parade and if I have, please know that I am truly sorry.
Jesus told us to divide the Word of God rightly and the tendency of a lot of believers is to throw it all together and say well, this is for me when indeed it was written for the Jews. I am very aware that a lot of the ministries that we see everyday or at least on Sunday, believe that all of the promises in the Bible belong to all of us. One of the reasons the book of Revelations, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel are the center of so much anger and disputings is because people have used the wrong measuring stick on who was it speaking to, what was the reason and where was it to take place. What time period isn't always easy to understand but we cannot go on assuming that we are the center of the whole Bible when indeed we are not.
I know I haven't explained my thoughts on this as well as I wanted to but I also didn't want to write a book on it at this time.

FYI-On that link I posted w/my old Pastor interviewing Mark Blitz-he asked that very question. If it was OK for Christians to observe the Jewish feasts. Interesting dialogue if you watch it.
Personally I don't think we should be "bound" by observing the feasts as the Jews do. There is a group who is trying to convert Christians to be like observant Jews. They'll become "closer to God" if they do these things.
I thought the only thing Jesus told us to observe was Holy Communion. "Do this in remembrance of me."
He did not bring up "Christmas" or "Easter" as we have it. These are man made and I'm not amused at the pagan influences. It's celebrated because it's tradition not because it is something Christ told us to do.
I don't think there is any harm in the tradition if we can keep our mind on the real purpose & on Christ. (And some really do) But for most people they just go through the motions. It's really a large part of the machine of mass merchandising in modern times.
Since these "Christian" holidays are not mandated by God but rather adopted by men-we are free to worship & celebrate without being bound up by any specific requirements. So if someone wants to celebrate a Jewish Feast with a Christian mindset I don't see any issue with that. As long as they don't think they are required to do so & under the law which Jesus freed us from.
I think that's Grany's main point. Jesus would not be happy with us if we returned back to the old ways like the Jews who rejected Him have.
On the other hand gentile Christians have come so far removed from the Jewish traditions that the Jews don't even recognize Jesus as one of their own. He appears foreign to them & that is part of what Mark Blitz was explaining in that interview.
So I think since our Christian traditions were man made to begin with we can start another Reformation and re-make them with no pagan influences & as Biblical as possible.

Lisa, exactly! My point in posting that is quite simple. It is faith in God and obedience to his word that moves Him. Our worship and praise, he greatly desires. The purpose of my remarks is to remind us that we are the Goyim that are brought in by grafting us into the vine. I love the Jewish Feasts because it reminds me over and over again just how far God will go to reach out to his People. I know that our salvation is precious in God's eyes and is a jewel of great value. But his book isn't finished until he deals directly with the Jewish people and accomplishes their restitution as his Wife.
I love the Jewish people and have spent many, many hours praying for them. My heart cry is for their awakening and soon! You see, most of the Jewish people living in Israel at the times I was actively going there, were not praising and worshiping God. They were observing the Sabbath purely out of custom and tradition. They go to the wailing wall, celebrate all of the Feasts but it is not in a relationship manner. They are, right now in the first phase of being brought back to the Promised Land where they are without faith in God like Abraham or Moses, Elijah and Elisha, the list goes on. The main thing, now, that caused the rift between God and his Wife was the Holocaust.
Right now they are in the pitiful plight of unbelief and will be until they cry out Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
My prayers for September 29, 30th is quite simple. I pray for the renewing of their hearts to the fellowship and worship between God and His people.

Nate, we have no disagreement as far as I am concerned. I too, keep my eyes and ears tuned to Israel and know that they are the signal that we are all waiting for. My only concern is for those who pass by silently and pay close attention to what we are saying and sharing. I am excited about the Fall Feasts also because I know that we are just that much closer to the shout than we were last year.

Now, I see why conservatives rebelled. This is an election year, and conservatives in Congress needed to show their conservative constituents back home that they battled hard to prevent this obvious takeover of the American economy by Fascist interests. Many people believe that no agreement will be reached either Friday or Saturday, producing an economic collapse on Monday, September 29, a date which does produce the occult sacred '11'.
If such a collapse does occur, the resulting disaster will guarantee the death of the Capitalist Economy and the birth of the Fascist Economy. In fact, such a collapse might be the only way the Illuminati can sell this awful plan to the American people. However, we do expect that an agreement will be reached at literally the 11th hour, narrowly averting the disaster. In the preparatory period prior to the appearance of Antichrist, the Illuminati wants a tightly controlled Fascist Economy, not a ruined one.
Democrats control Congress, and so far, Obama has been the beneficiary of the sputtering economy, boosting him over Republican McCain. However, if Democrats in Congress do not get this legislation passed, Republican leaders will blame them for this mess. Someone had written in to him talking about how he and his wife were feeling a great deal of spiritual oppression in their prayer life. (Anyone else here feeling that besides me?) The letter closed with, "You speak of hope and the victory that is coming in the battle Mark. Do you have any words of encouragement? How long are we going to have to endure and suffer in this world we live in?"
What really got me thinking about your dream was this: Towards the end of the blog, he has this line: As the darkness gets darker, the Stars get brighter. Your dream took place in the dark, a very dark place, inside and out. Yet one thing you mentioned were the great number of stars you could see. Here is what Mark wrote:

The Concert
When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing.

Together, the old master and the young novice transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience.
The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played.
Only the classic,

Perhaps that's the way it is with God.
What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy.
We try our best, but the results aren't always graceful flowing music. However, with the hand of the Master, our life's work can truly be beautiful.
The next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear,
"Don't quit . . . Keep playing."
May you feel His arms around you and know that His hands are there, helping you turn your feeble attempts into a true masterpieces.

Our precious boy Daniel, the little guy in the picture had a pretty serious choking incident this evening. A small rectangular piece of velcro (the hook side part) came off one of his children's books and he found it and put it in his mouth. My wife was sitting at the computer near our kitchen table and looked over to smile at him and noticed he was choking. Of course, she ran to his aid. I heard the commotion and Angie call me all at once. She had him turned over and was patting his back to get whatever was choking him unstuck. I was relieved to see him start throwing up. We could tell he was still struggling somewhat though. Finally he gagged up the stiff, rectangular piece of velcro. I can't imagine how difficult that must have been to get unstuck.
I just want to publicly thank the Lord for helping Daniel through that choking episode tonight. I know He is the Lord's and that Angie and I simply have the priviledge of raising him. For those who have children, you know how precious they are. Daniel is our one and only. We waited 15 years for a child and he came to us through the miracle of adoption. God is good. All the time!
Jim G., I hope you have taken Daniel to the hospital to be looked at. If you haven't, you need to GET IN THE CAR AND TAKE HIM TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM RIGHT AWAY!
Any time you get something lodged in your throat large enough to cause choking, your body is going to react to it. Generally, the reaction is swelling. My dad could (and my brothers can) tell you stories about families rushing to the emergency room late at night because their child had something caught in their throat at dinner; it was dislodged; then when they put the child down to sleep the child would start choking again.
You need to take Daniel to the emergency room or to a critical care unit, explain what happened, and have them make sure Daniel's throat isn't starting to swell shut.

Poor little guy (and mommy & daddy too) must have been terrifying.
When my daughter was about three, she choked on a piece of meat. Like Angie, I turned her over & patted her back & it came out.
Horrible thing then, but very funny now, she started crying hysterically & said to me "mommy, I was choking & you were beating me!!!!"
I was devastated thinking she was going to forever think I was beating her while she was choking!
I can laugh thinking back on that now but, boy, was it traumatic at the time.
Praise God for Daniel's safety, Jim. (And good advice Jim C...I had never thought of that.)
Our Matt had a scary incident this summer at a family member's pool. The other 2 kids were swimming with an adult holding them, but Matt had been playing ball in the sideyard with his cousin. I was talking with other family members at the shallow end of the pool, assuming Matt wasn't going to be near the pool and the other 2 were safely being held by adults, so I wasn't on my usual "Mommy in-public radar". I was shocked to look toward the end of the pool (deep end) and see Matt floundering there. No water wings, no adult with him, just him trying to stay above water. We got to him before he went under and CPR wasn't necessary. But he's now very scared about water (says he doesn't want to "get lost in the pool") so I know he was aware of the danger. I truly believe his angel kept his head above water and turned my head in that direction that day. No one saw him fall in, so we don't know how long it was before we got to him. 2 other things to keep in mind....we later learned that he came over to the pool (he really doesn't enjoy swimming, so I hadn't been thinking he would) to reach for a beachball that was floating in the deep end. He loves to play ball but had no concept of gravity when leaning over to get it. Also, just that day I had heard about dry-drowning. An elem. aged child in Philly had died of it the previous weekend. He had had a similar incident in one of the city pools. He didn't need CPR, just spit up alot of water. He walked home with his mom that afternoon and died that night. Apparently enough water got into his lungs so that when he lay down that night, he drowned. The report said it happens in about 10% of drowning cases. Something to be aware of for anyone who has an incident in the pool.
I can SO share your (and Alesia's) concern and deep, deep thankfulness about our precious little ones being cared for by our heavenly Father. He is good all the time!

Last night we flipped on an old Billy Graham crusade. It was in Black and White when he was young & speaking of "Are you converted?"
It would have to rate with the top strongest preaching clips I've ever witnessed. The level of his intensity never waned throughout the entire speech. Even got tears in hubby's eyes(not that hard to do) & he mentioned the gift must have been divine. The entire audience hardly moved a muscle.
Graham was telling his audience how even people who go to Church, sing in the Choir, teach, ect... May NOT have even had a conversion experience. And unless your converted (born again) you will not see the Kingdom of God.
It was just my style. Lay it on the line.
So much so I turned into Billy Graham style in my dream last night (: & I was preaching & telling my friend Elle to repent. The words were flowing out of my mouth faster than I could think of them.
(He still didn't want to face it.) Then I was talking w/other "Christians" and they didn't want to hear anything about prophesy & were shrugging me off.
On a good note I sent that Laodicean link to my Baptist friend here in TN & she did read it. She implied that it had pierced her & she had not read or pondered that scripture before & feels convicted to learn more about it.

a good rule of thumb-if they can talk the airway is not obstructed and intervening can cause a complete obstruction. I had to laugh at your comment Alesia, my son has said the same thing to me on at least one occasion and even with my training or perhaps because of it I get a cold feeling in the pit of my stomach. he also gets mad when I tell him to talk to me when he looks like he's choking. if the hand is around the throat however don't bother to ask if they can talk start pounding.

about that dry drowning. Kinderquilt sent me the article and I went into a near panic (we have a pool at home you see) about that kid and I gleaned several things from me reading of it-
1-dry drowning is very rare and is not what this kid had
2-delayed drowning which is what the young child in phillie had is if memory serves about twice as common
3-the child in question was mentally disabled (a fact not many of the media reported on) and they are at higher risk over kids who are mentally intact
4- signs to watch out for later include irritability, excessive sleepiness and others which I don't remember. the one thing I do remember is that if your child coughs a lot while at the pool-jumps in, starts sputtering, coughing after etc a lot (illdefined term I'm afraid) and it happens repetitively, they may be at risk for delayed drowning.

after giving the fall feasts some further consideration I note that
1-the spring feasts were fulfilled consecutively and in the same year as each other. one was not fulfilled and then several years later the rest were fulfilled. I would expect therefore the fall feasts to be fulfilled consecutively and in the same year as well.
2-Prophecies about Christ fall into either the suffering servant or warrior king types as a general rule. the spring feasts represent the First coming of Christ as the suffering servant. The fall feasts therefore should represent the second coming of Christ as the warrior king a la David.
3-the Rapture, depending on one's eschatology, is not the same thing as the second coming but something entirely different.
4-if one looks up what Rosh Hashanah means to the Jewish people I don't see rapture typology at all since it appears to be more about God judging the people of the earth and listing people in the book of life, a middle book (the fence sitters) and the non book of life. a common greeting at this time is to infer that one hopes the other will be sealed at this time in the book of life. truly I got more of a sense of the sheep and goats judgment out of reading the explanation or even the great white throne.
all of which is to say, I would place the fulfillment of the fall feasts at the end of the tribulation at Christ's Second coming with the rapture fulfilling none of them.

Quick question...I heard someone mention recently (on the topic of choking) that pounding on the back to dislodge something can actually drive the object further down in. I think it's an immediate instinct to hit the back but I'm wondering what the recommendation is. I've taken a refresher CPR course since the kids were born (last time was in HS), but they didn't touch on that, only how to do the heimlich.
And yes, I do think I remember hearing that the boy in Philly was slower mentally and it was his first time in the pool. The symptoms to watch for were vague because they could also be attributed to a child being really tired after a day of outdoor play....being overly tired, cranky, less attentive than usual. That's the regular scene around here after we get home from preschool! So it would be hard to notice for sure if there was something going on to be concerned about.
Mac, I linked your blog via email to my husband so he could read the Aug 29th post. I found it very helpful and thought it would be something for him to read as we had just been discussing a similar topic. He said that he did find it helpful as well. He's slowly coming around to discussions about end times and facing the reality of what is going on in the world. We've had a few good discussions lately and he isn't giving me that raised-eyebrow look as much anymore. Just wanted to let you know that was very helpful.

I almost thought this TN pastor today was going to speak about something on End Times. I may have gone into shock if he did.
He did speak of knowing the times & seasons & being Bible literate in such things. Slightly mentioned Russia, Israel, and the ME but no detail what-so-ever. Mentioned the great falling away & Apostasy.
The stress was upon our relationship with Christ in all things & especially now in our current economy situation so that we are at peace & rest in order that others may come to Christ by witnessing our calm in the midst of the storms ahead. Also taking this opportunity to tell others about our hope in Jesus & how to be saved.
So no sudden shock for me today. I wonder what it would take for this pastor to go into any type of End Time detail. I think he's afraid to be considered "an alarmist."

JIB, I couldn't agree more. You are right about the Lamb and the King seasons and according to the old testament, we have been given a time of grace for just a certain length of time. God is not confined by time elements, his requirement is the only one that really matters to the Church Age, in which we are now living. When the Church Age is completed and the very last soul is brought into the Blood Covenant, the rapture will happen and we will be out of here. If it should fall prior to the Fall Festivals that is wonderful but I am not of that mind set. I am more of the mind set of one last festival that is related to the Lamb that was slain and the celebration that takes place after Pentecost.
I want you all to know, I don't really spend a lot of time trying to pinpoint the exact time of the rapture. I can know how close we are by the situation in Israel and all of those lands that directly are foretold in the scriptures. The scriptures will tell us what follows the time we are living in. When God is finished dealing with the church age, then he will address the Apples.
Somewhere there is great big hand (seemingly) placed in my mind that has kept me from really digesting what happens during the trying and testing of the Apples of God's eye. I have always had this "it isn't for the church age" thing in my heart and mind. It isn't something that I have tried to keep up or that I have really done any worrying about. It just isn't for us. My prayers and desires are for the People that God calls his chosen ones. Our prayers are needed for them greatly because they have much facing them.
Do you suppose the prayers that we offer up to Abba now will be let out of the vial that the angel opens? Those prayers are stored up for some great reason and I have never heard anyone scripturally explain it. Not theory according to man but according to Thus Saith The Holy Spirit.

I do believe with all of my heart that we will be out of here soon but there are things that God is holding all of the Christians accountable for and He will deal with us because we have ignored the call to repentance and prayer regarding them. Abortion, homosexuality, politics, ethics, parenting, and being just like the world in our behavior. I imagine that we do look peculiar to God when he knows what we should be doing and look like but aren't.
Sometimes it takes drastic measures to get us to the place where he can be sought. We are expected to be single minded toward those things that please Him and we are to be seekers of the truth. Instead, the body of the believers go with a vengeance to everything that contradicts what the scriptures tell us and disregard or put into an inferior light his deepest desires for us.
I am not saying everyone but how many times have any of us tried to personally reach out and address the issue in our own personal circle or community. How many times have we discussed PC (Political Correctness) and yet, are we doing any better when we see the world being entertained in our own circle of friends or even our own families?
We are responsible for our witness and testimony before God. That scares me and for good reason.
The Day of the Lord is when His Feet hit on terrafirma, the exact same place where he ascended into heaven and that just happens to be in Bethany about 100 feet from the Hotel that is known as The Hotel of Seven Arches. There is a memorial there with thick concrete poured into the ground and it was done back centuries ago to preserve the spot. I have a picture of it and even though it is not spectacular in appearance or importance to the Jews, it speaks volumes to the believers. By the way, that spot also overlooks the Eastern Gate and early in the morning it is a sight to behold. At 5 a.m. right on the dot, the Muslim's have their call to worship from the Minaret, which is the highest point in Jerusalem vicinity, very close by this special place.

Please send the following to your Christian friends, pastors/churches everywhere as a letter from a person who has been a student of the Bible for over 30 years. You may also explain that I have worn the mantle of a pastor, Bible teacher, evangelist, church planter, and author.
Dear Christian Friends,
The Holy Spirit encouraged me to write the following to clarify a few biblical facts and to give assurance and peace to the evangelical camp, but especially to those dear folk who have not read and understood all the Scripture concerning the anti-christ. I am concerned over how easy Christians can be caught off guard or duped into accepting all the “off-the-wall” rhetoric from bloggers that have presented the theory that Sen. Oboma could be the Anti-christ. The hoax comes from the same category that Bill Clinton &/or Sadam were believed to be the Anti-christ, and Deseret Storm was the beginning of Armageddon.
We are only experiencing the first little wave of apostasy that will lead to the true “falling away” that Paul warned Timothy about. The Devil will not present his false christ to the world before the destroyer first softens up society enough to receive the ultimate deception. This does not mean believers should not be concerned about America, if Oboma is elected President. If this happens, he will be one of many pawns God will use to prepare the world for the heavenly judgment soon to follow. (Pray accordingly)
I believe this nation, on a whole, is being tested once again to determine if it is time to increase the domino affect that will eventually end with a new world, purged from all sin. America is only one of many nations in the world that will have to loose their power and influence before the one world leader &/or government can effectively rise to prominence. We should not forget that the rise to power by the wicked can not occur while the church is still on the earth. (2 Thess. 2:1-12)
The next event on God’s time line is the rapture (1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-52) ; the Holy Spirit can not leave earth without taking the church with Him since He is in or part of the believer. The church made up of true born again Christians, who represent the Bride of Christ, is not appointed to wrath due to Christ’s salvation. It is further doubtful believers will learn who the Anti-christ is before hand.
Believe me; it will only become worse as the days advance to that eventful hour. For example, what shape was the world in when Noah began building the Ark? How far had society fallen in and around Sodom and Gomorrah before Lot and his family were rescued? Both of these texts picture the doctrine of the rapture. In addition, didn’t Jesus compare His return “as in the days of Noah….?
“Let no man deceive you by any means” (2 Thess. 2:3) is the way Paul introduces his warning about this period. The church must be prepared for the Devil’s deception of misusing Scripture against the illiterate (novice) believer. Instead of equating Oboma as the Anti-christ, in regards to all the symbolism currently being circulated, [Messiah, Apollo, etc.] Matt. 25:21-26, should be used to show there will be many who will come pretending to be someone when they are nothing. I fear the liberal society is ready to receive/accept about anyone who steps from the crowd, especially if that person promises them (the pie in the sky) a better life with little labor to obtain it. Thousands of people followed Jesus once they found that he could produce free fish sandwiches and had a medical plan that left the Pharisees scratching their head.
The reader needs to do his or her own research. It is always safer to accept the Bible literally than trying to make society or events fit the Bible allegorically The Word of God will describe society perfectly when the time comes. Those who wish to know and understand the environment of the last days, need to find a Biblical Cyclopedic Index, and look up Anti-christ, last days, and the second coming for starters. There are hundreds of good books on the market about the rapture, Anti-christ, and the Tribulation.
Please consider the following obvious points of thought:
(To get an overview or a more complete picture of future events over the blogs, one should read the Book of Daniel, the latter part of Ezekiel concerning the building of the 3rd Temple, much of the Minor Prophets, the Book of Revelation, and Matthew 24.)

Society will become more deviant and more violent and wars between nations will increase.

Great famines (food & energy shortages) will occur in addition to a famine of true preaching. (Amos 8:11)

Apostasy and heresy will be ramped and the occult will practice Devil worship overtly.

The church may have to go underground in some areas for safety before the rapture.
*
Three world leaders will rise: (1) the first will make a mistake and fall from the scene suddenly; (2) the second leader will be known as a raiser of taxes; the third, the most wicked and ungodly, will become the Anti-christ, (Dan. 11: 19-21).
*
He will bring peace to a troubled world with the aid of the False Prophet by way of signs and wonders.
*
He will worship no god; in fact, he may even be gay, (Dan. 11:37).
*
He will be a military genius. [Obama ?– not hardly]
*
The Jews will rebuild the Temple and renew animal sacrifices.
*
The Anti-christ will be part of the old Roman Empire before he sets himself up to be worshipped during the second half of the Tribulation. (Dan. 9:27; Matt. 24;15; Rev. 13)

He will make war with the Jews in the second half of the Tribulation. This is when the Mark of the Beast will be instituted depicting his name, his mark, or his number.
From the few facts listed above, the reader should not let any person misdirect his thoughts by referencing a few scriptures out of context. This could cause undue anxiety and unbiblical beliefs and will bring defeat for many concerning end-time prophecy. References and/or resources can be given to anyone interested in the study of Eschatology.

yes if you aren't careful you can put the object into the wind pipe further. however when I pound my son on the back he is directly upside down-gravity it's a wonderful thing! actually how you try to dislodge the object depends on the age of the child. and don't call it the Heimlich maneuver since that is a copyrighted term and the family charges!
