"It is hardly complimentary to God that we should choose him as an alternative to hell. Yet even this he accepts. The creature's illusion of self-sufficiency must, for the creature's sake, be shattered. And by trouble, or fear of trouble on earth, by crude fear of the eternal flames, God shatters it, unmindful of his glory's diminution. I call this "divine humility," because it's a poor thing to strike our colors to God when the ship is going down under us, a poor thing to come to him as a last resort, to offer up our own when it is no longer worth keeping. If God were proud, he would hardly have us on such terms. But he is not proud. He stoops to conquer. He would have us even though we have shown that we prefer everything else to him, and come to him because there is nothing better now to be had."

Me First :-)
Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, O descendants of Israel his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations.
1 Chronicles 16:8-15
Leanna, Shalom!
Don't be afraid to sign up at http://www.blogger.com/ for your own blogger id. You don't actually have to have a blog, but this will let your name show up in blue and you won't be anonymous anymore.
<><
That made me sad, Mr. Hyde. :(
Thanks for the head's up Leanna.
I think we did go back & check most of the other blogs, but it was several weeks later before we caught them all.
Please do not feel that you have to be a lurker, feel free to participate.
Hi, it is me again, Leanna.
I found one of those invites. The blog address:
http://faithisinchrist.blogspot.com/
The blog didn't allow anony posts, so maybe one of you could contact and ask that it be removed.
In Christ,
Leanna
Hi Leanna, that was Wilma's comment on that blog. Personally, I'm not at all afraid of unwanted callers here. There's more than one way to skin a cat if that happens. We can give permissions to others so that they can delete comments or we can set it up so that only invited people can access the blog (up to 100 I think). We could even change Hyde's address to something more obscure.
Hi all,
Not sure about Glen at Joel's...I looked him up 'cause I remembered his blogger name from before. He was the one critiquing TJF for sending one container of supplies rather than more via "gifts in kind" (GIK)....several of us asked him to explain and he never responded. Might be the one that always harps on TJF not being in certain accounting groups, etc.
I just didn't like how he asked for more details on the upcoming TJF projects.
Alesia, you're referring to the Lewis quote? I had a similar experience today. I'm feeling really physically beat up lately....my third round of neck/shoulder spasms since Christmas, another head cold and super stir-crazy kids made me a terrible role model of motherhood today. The thought crossed my mind that God has billions of children who act like selfish 3-year olds (on their best days) on a 24/7 basis to deal with and He never loses His cool, never makes a spiteful or selfish decision and even showers them with undeserved love and protection in the process. It was a humbling moment.
Blessings,
Jen
Jen, I usually have trouble deciding what to post as a new thread but that one jumped out at me this time. In my worship article on my blog, what I didn't say is that God doesn't need us to worsip Him - we need to worship Him. He doesn't need our love - we need His love. We run away from Him, yet he hunts us down for our own good. I think that's awesome.
Hi Anne,
Where'd you go?
Oh, just checked my email & realized you posted on the last post!
I sent Nate your email address, securely.
Hi Jen,
Yes, I was referring to the post. It's weird that Hyde chose this particular one to post, as I was thinking along the same lines, just this morning.
When I was an atheist, I was one of those people who really looked down on folks for "Coming to Christ" when they were at their lowest point. I viewed them as delusional people needing a crutch. But, I also looked at that as disrespectful, if there was a God, because why come to Him NOW only when you need something.
I now realize that maybe that's why bad things do happen. How else would some come to God? If everything were great for everyone, all the time, why would anyone think to turn to the Lord?
Great answer for those who ask "Why does God allow bad things to happen?"
Not exactly what the post was referring to....
Anne, Shalom! Regarding your question about getting email without giving away your personal email address, not a problem, provided you're not using Gmail as your personal email service. You have a Blogger account even though you don't have a blog, which means you should have a Gmail account. You can post your Gmail account and people can contact you through that account, without being able to trace you to your personal email account. LMK if you don't know how to find your Gmail account information.
<><
Alesia, thanks for catching that. I'm not sure what I was doing on the last post, but I found my way!
Jim, thanks for the help. I do have a gmail account, but I think it reveals my first and last name. Can I remedy that? I'm sorry to be such a baby about it, but I was stalked in the past by phone where the person (if you can call him one) knew when I moved, changed phone numbers and changed jobs. It was very unsettling!
Hi- thanks for your input! I've tried to learn all I could about Islam in the last few years, including attending a seminar about witnessing to muslims. I've never met a muslim -one on one-but I'll be meeting these two women on tues.I went to hear an ex-terrorist speak [he's now a missionary in my area] and he said they needed people to be-friend and teach, sooooo.........
Lisa
, I'll try and find some of the books you mentioned- thankyou! and Jen, any advice on how to teach Eng. would be appreciated!!
Jamie
Jim, never mind about the gmail. I just set up a new one which doesn't show my last name.
Anne, Shalom! You asked,
I do have a gmail account, but I think it reveals my first and last name. Can I remedy that?
Yeah. Get either a Yahoo Mail or Microsoft Hotmail account. Their both free, and you can make a username that hides your identity.
As for hiding your identity, try to make a username that is unlike you. I don't mean completely opposite; that's like having a password that's just your name spelled backwards. Try to make it gender-neutral. If you chose a place name, make it some place you've never been before or ever expressed an interest in visiting.

This little girl from Iraq was hosted by our pastor:
Ameniah
Lisa
Amenah-Again I keep messing up.
Amenah
Ok, it worked.
The family visited our Church a few weeks ago right before her surgery.
It was the first time that her mother had ever been in a Christian Church. (Their Muslim)
I thought we "rocked" out a little much at the time. We sang the Tom Petty song: "And we won't back down. We will stand our ground."Hey baby, there is no easy way out....."
(If that didn't freak her out coming from a mosque then nothing will)
We said alot of prayers and many people were supporting them. I'm glad the surgery was a success. Praise the Lord!!!
Lisa
May I ask a huge favor of those who sign up to Nate's new place?
Can you go to User Profile & make your Real Name that of the name you use HERE?
It would be REALLY helpful for us all to know who's who. I just checked & already there are 3 people on there that I'm not sure who they are until I dig further & still one that I have no idea who it really is.
Thanks so much!
DisappearingBees
I'm sure some of you have seen this news on TV lately. Famine Anyone?
I know there are some different thoughts of the "Seals" in Revelation. I've always thought they were yet to be opened-others believe they were opened(except for the 6th seal) by Christ already-as he was handed "Tile Deed/Scroll" at the Right hand of God after his death-& ressurection.
I always keep an open mind about this-just waiting and watching.
This bee senario could really create quite a desperate situation, especially in the US.
Some existing bee hives are now being stolen. The farmers are getting panicked now.
The Third seal is "Scarcity on Earth." Ok, there has been Scarcity on earth and still is a problem in many areas.
But with little to no bees? Can you imagine the impact on the entire world?
Then I try to say to myself. Ok,it's probably just a temporary situation. And then after what we have all been witness to lately- I don't think so. Hope I'm wrong.
Lisa
Lisa - Be forewarned...
I mentioned the disappearing bees months ago at Joel's & got completely clobbered over the head!
Needless to say, I agree with you.
(now ducking & covering)
Alesia, you said nate had a new place to post? Does this mean that Mr Hyde's place is gonna close. Maybe I missed something.
I don't know if anyone saw this on the last post because no one responded.
How do I apply this statement:
ELECTION. Election is 'God's eternal choice of some persons' unto everlasting life-- not because of foreseen merit in them, but of his mere mercy in Christ-- in consequence of which choice they are called, justified and glorified.
Does this mean that I do not have a choice?????
HOw do I know I am chosen?
What if I am not chosen?
I know I have asked this before and I realize it is "one of those topics", but I ran across it again today and just can't get settled with this doctrine.
Kinda like some with the issue of speaking in tongues and eternal security.
Thanks a bunch.
In His Love and looking up!
Debbie
Mac, Alesia and Leanna, sorry about that but I got it deleted. I haven't been on the blogs much today and missed the comments earlier. If you want to recheck the contacts I made, go to the previous article on JCR blog before he closed comments and all of the names that are registered are the ones I tried to contact.
I have no idea where I am supposed to contact Nate. Alesia, post a comment on my blog and it will come to my email address but please let me know the next step.
Grany
Debbie & Grany,
Nate set-up a Yahoo place as a back-up, just in case something happens, such as Blogger going down. This way, we'll have a way to get in touch with everyone.
You will have to find a way to get Nate your email address so he can set you up (invite you to it)
Nate - any ideas for them?
To answer your question (since I forgot)
NO, Debbie Mr Hyde's in not closing.
Hi all,
I sent Nate my email at his blogspot....assuming he could send the invite and then I could go back and delete my post.
Blessings,
Jen
Lisa
while it may not have acted like it went through it did although for whatever reason it didn't show up in my email account. very odd.
Nate
I somehow got your email address from a post you left at Grany's-may I email you?
well blogger must somehow be messed up because when I post only one copy shows up here but two copies show up in my email. very odd
Alesia and Nate, I got the message and I feel better already. You know I have had this feeling of EMERGENCY for quite some time and I just couldn't figure out what was going on.
Have a great weekend and hope to see you all back here at the corral later.
Love you all,
Grany
Debbie, these are common questions for worried Christians. Check out the links below and, hopefully, the articles will put you at ease.
I don’t know how many 5 point Calvinists there are posting on this site but I strongly recommend Dave Hunt’s book “What Love Is This?” He’s taken a lot of flack from Calvinists for daring to repudiate, for example, the concept of Limited Atonement. LA is the idea that Christ did not die on the cross for All The World but only those He predestined to save and this rules out any choice by the believer. I believe Dave Hunt successfully demolishes this Calvinist doctrine.
How do you know you’re saved? If you’re worried about it, chances are you are saved. In the “Salvation Articles” link, scroll down and take a look at the Eternal Security articles.

On a lighter note, I've just returned from The International Motor Show. Does the name GT-R mean anything to any of you? It will be in Australian show rooms this time next year.
PLEASE SEND MONEY
Mac - do you still have my email address? Could you please pass it to Nate? (Sorry all - still here, just "silent" lately)
Thanks,
TexasDave
Debbie,
(sorry this so long.....)
ELECTION. Election is 'God's eternal choice of some persons' unto everlasting life-- not because of foreseen merit in them, but of his mere mercy in Christ-- in consequence of which choice they are called, justified and glorified.
Basically, this definition is WAY, WAY, WAAAAAAAY wrong.
You can KNOW that you are saved, and are going to heaven. It's YOUR choice. For it says in Colossians 2:2 that God wants you to have the full assurance of your salvation - the mystery of God that He has now revealed to the world through Jesus
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ [NKJV]
To clarify the this whole nonsensical doctrine of predestination and election, that only some are called to be saved, please consider the following:
1) God never changes (I hope you agree) [Hebrews 13:8]
2) The Bible is God's revealed (written) description of His plans and purposes for us - notably the grand plan of salvation. [John 10:34, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20]
3) God is not a respecter of persons [Acts 10:34] - meaning He has no favorites, shows no partiality to anyone - all mankind is special to Him, we are ALL made in His image [Genesis 1:26-27], it is just that we have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God [Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12]. Furthermore, the "righteousness of God" has been revealed to ALL, not to just those who believe [Romans 3:21-23].
Note: The expression "to sin" is an archery term, meaning to miss the mark, target, bullseye.
4) It is God's express purpose, as written in His Word, that NO ONE perish - meaning to spend eternity in the Lake of fire, eternally separated from God and His love, but that ALL should come to repentance. [2 Peter 3:9]
Jesus took the sins of the WHOLE world on Himself so that God is now no longer imputing their trespasses to them (=EVERYONE, not just those who would believe in Him) [2 Corinthians 5:13, 1 John 2:2] at the Crucifixion - He was MADE sin so that we, who believe in Him and call Him Lord, could receive His righteousness - right standing with God [2 Corinthians 5:21]. This is our choice to make - see next point.
5) Every person has been given freedom to choose between serving themselves (and the devil) or serving God. Therefore, to speak of someone NOT having that choice, because God did not "elect" them is completely contrary to Scripture. God has given us all, individually, free will. He will not and cannot override our will.
If you read the passage in Deuteronomy 30:14-20:
14“But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,
16 “in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
17 “But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them,
18 “I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.
19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
20 “that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
Notice that God tells the Israelites to "choose life". If anyone on the planet earth is not given that right, then we have to say that God is showing partiality - which is contrary to Scripture. Therefore, EVERYONE must have both the right and the ability to choose life - by believing in Jesus.
If this is still not enough, please read John 3:16-18 - the words of Jesus Himself:
16“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [NKJV]
God has clearly stated that if you do NOT choose life, by believing in Jesus, you have ALREADY chosen death, and nothing God can do will override that choice, if you yourself do not change your mind before you physically die.
It is clear from Scripture that all you have to do to be "saved" - born again and eligible for Heaven is to do what is proscribed in Romans 10:9-13:
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” [NKJV]
Nowhere in Scripture does it say that a person cannot make that decision. Notice that verses 12-13 in Romans 10 say that ANYONE who calls upon the name of the Lord WILL be saved. It expressly says, regarding the availability of salvation is concerned, that there is no distinction between Jew and Greek (i.e. any one who is NOT Jewish = everyone else in the world). See also Romans 3:28-20 for further confirmation of this unlimited availability of salvation, by faith, to all who believe.
6) Finally, to clarify, the word "predestined" used in Romans 8:29-30, and often used as the basis for justifying the totally unscriptural idea that God has destined some people for heaven and some for everlasting torment, should more properly be translated "foreknown" - because God knows all things, being omniscient, and is outside of time, and can see everything from the beginning to the end of time.
To further clarify, if you study the context of this passage in Romans 8, Paul is discussing PRAYER - the whole subject from verse 24-39 is about how to make the prayers in the Body of Christ fully effective and powerful by praying in the Spirit - which is how we pray out the perfect will of God - and as we learn to do this, then:
We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things [the prayers and petitions of the saints] work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good and for those who love God and are the called according to His design and purpose [AMP] with clarifications.
The use of the term "predestined" or "foreknown" refers to God knowing in advance the effects of the Spirit directed prayers of the saints - it has NOTHING whatsoever to do with the man-made doctrine of predestination!!!

Dave Hunt answers a question on election etc
Eternal Security
I don't want to be a "downer" but you need to know this. We asked someone who works in DC about the wheat shortage. He was like, "Oh, well, they grow it in all kinds of places, like Australia, etc.; we aren't running out of food.
We asked him to ask some of his collegues in the "wheat dept." at work but he said that would not be the Commerce Dept. but the USDA. About 5 min later he called, they had gone to check it out, his attitude sounded much different as he told us the crop had actually FAILED in Morroco, Eastern Europe, Canada (the biggest supplier outside the US) and guess where else--you got it --Australia.
There are ways to store wheat for long term. As far as flour, you can store in ziplock bags in plastic tubs. Use bay leafs to put all around it, and that can be stored up to 3 years, without any problem. You can also use a seal and save. If you freeze the flour in waterproof bags for a few days, your flour will last even longer.
Regardless of what happens, the Lord will take care of us. If he is telling you to prepare in some way, you might want to take precautions.
Mr Hyde,
If I send you a dollar towards the car, I want to sit in it at least once!
Has the Lord been speaking to anyone here about stocking up?
Alesia, Who clobbered you on the bees?
Was it "T" or "Mouse", or one of our fold?
This is no joke.
Ok, bring it on!
Lisa
What are your thoughts of Obama if he becomes elected? What is in store for the US? Could this be part of God's plan to speed up the downfall of our country?
(Too bad Grumpy isn't posting lately. He's good at thinking ahead.)
ObamaMuslimGarb
Good Morning all,
What, did everyone have a party here in the middle of the night? (lots of posts in the wee hours) That must have made Mac happy!
Lori, I too heard about the wheat. I thought I posted the articles, maybe not, I've been very busy.
I believe, the wheat in Australia & a few other places was ruined from fungus or mold.
I've been having the urge to stock up on things.
Lisa - It was several of our own & T too. I think only one person said anything in my defense. If I remember correctly, the consensus at Joel's was that it was along the lines of "global warming" phooey.
That didn't deter me though, I kept looking into it. There most definitely is a problem & it could turn into a REALLY BIG problem - very soon.
Mac - Oh no. Yes, we know what the GT-R is, how could we forget? You're going to have to give Hyde lots of chocolate, to keep his mouth full, so we're not inundated with the vroom, vroom cries! LOL
Morning all,
Lots of good conversation so far today!
Deb, I wanted to share an example that I've used with others to explain the election/free will issue. Granted, it's not 100% foolproof because of the human element, but it gives a good word picture.
Imagine a teacher gives the class a pop quiz but says they are allowed to use their notebooks if they want. The teacher knows that any student in that situation will choose to use their notes (except for maybe the teacher's pet, which makes this example less than perfect!) The teacher represents God who lets the students have a choice but knows in advance what the results of that choice will be. In His case, He knows the end results 100%...no one surprises Him!
In my home, it's about cantaloupe. If I give the kids the option of eating cantaloupe or another fruit for dessert, I know that my big guy will always choose the 'other', but I still give him the choice.
John outlined the Scriptural proof much better, but I would just encourage you to rest in those promises. I used to go round about the same questions and spent plenty of time worrying about it. Today, I'm firmly stuck in the peace of knowing God doesn't make His plan murky or tricky to understand.
I did a little research last night and found that even Calvinists aren't 100% sure they know they're elect, they just HOPE they're in that group. Scripture gives us much more to read about faith and belief than just hope. I'll add prayers for your heart and mind to be in the shelter of God's peace on the issue.
***
Alesia, I am with you on the bees. Maybe a generation ago it wouldn't have stood out so much, but everything else is lining up and disappearing bees actually make sense to me! Here's an interesting verse from Scripture I found. (I'm not saying it applies to this current situation, but I thought it was interesting that God can whistle and make the bees come....beekeepers says the bees are gone, but don't find any dead ones....Hmmm)
Isaiah 7:18 (New International Version)
18 In that day the LORD will whistle for flies from the distant streams of Egypt and for bees from the land of Assyria.
Blessings,
Jen
I may be behind the 8 ball in this, as I have only glanced at some of these posts...so maybe this was already brought up...but apparently there is not only is there a "bee problem", but there also appears to be some sort of "bat" problem....as reported in the news.
Alesia...I can't remember anything about a bee conversation in the past...sorry I didn't speak up if I didn't. (My memory has not been the greatest lately!)
I'm glad you all are bringing this all up, mostly because I've often wondered why so many people here are so adamantly opposed to any sort of talk about the possibility of global warming occuring.
Are they (you) opposed to the idea that it is even happening, or that man is causing it? Or what?
(This is not anything I have spent a lot of time looking into.) Thanks,
The other question I have.....that I thought someone here could shed some light on.....
Why did Israel give the caretaking of the Temple Mount back to the Muslims after taking it in 1967?
history of Temple Mount
If we lose the bees and the bats, the birds are next. Even if civilization somehow continues, how will we explain "the birds and the bees" to the next generation? badumbum ching
If global warming gets any worse, we'll all freeze to death... that was an actual headline two weeks ago.
I believe that God intended the world to last forever, but man, through sin and corruption, has defiled himself and the earth.
The great flood changed our earth forever, it was sin that brought the flood.
There are several scripture that mention the fate of the planet, and it's not looking good.
Jesus said he was going to prepare a new place for us. I have a feeling it's almost ready.
Mean while, we have to occupy until he comes. We cannot let signs paralyze our faith.
We must keep trusting the Lord with all our heart.
Campsmore asked:
Has the Lord been speaking to anyone here about stocking up?
------------------------------------------
The Lord started telling my wife and I that things were going to get rough about 2-3 years ago. We started getting real serious about stockpiling about 6 months ago.
At first I figured it would be terrorism that caused the problem, but I started reading Grumpy's posts and some of the websites that he pointed out. They are saying this is only the beginning of how bad things are going to get financially.
I am just so thankful that the Lord thought to warn us in advance. Isn't that just awesome? No fear here, just assurance that whatever happens, we will get through it because he is right here. God is so awesome!!!
TexasDave
Donna, Shalom!
I'm not so much opposed to the idea of "global warming." Anything that we can do that makes us better stewards of this earth is a good thing in my mind. My problem is the steamrolling belief that not only is climate change (a better description, in my mind) is occurring but that Mankind has some role to play in bringing it about or stopping it. We are only just now coming to understand the basics of global climatology, and I think it's prideful to say both that humans are the major cause of climate change and humans have the knowledge and skill to control climate on a global scale.
As for giving back the Temple Mount, it's because like the Israelites of old, they didn't believe that G_D would protect them from their enemies.
Some more dates I want to remind people about. On Holy Thursday (March 20), it is the Muslim feast of The Birthday of the Prophet. The very next day, March 21 (Good Friday) is the Jewish feast of Purim, which celebrates how the Jewish people were saved from the gallows of Haman by Queen Esther. Somehow, I don't think certain Islamic groups would be able to let that confluence of days pass by uneventfully.
The Arab Summit originally scheduled for March 29-30 in Damascus may or may not occur, due to anger over Syria's involvement with the election of the Lebanese President.
Also, there's a three-week period between May 10th and June 2 where we have both the 40th Year of the Unification of Jerusalem and the 60th year of the founding of the modern State of Israel.
<><
Campsmore, Shalom!
The Lord was talking to me last year about stocking up, which I did. This was before Tisha B'Av, when it seemed that there was going to be a war between Syria and Israel. I kept it up for some time after that, mostly in durable goods (shoes and such). I've been doing some more stocking up in anticipation of my job loss, and will probably get more flour and powdered milk this weekend. (Maybe some dried beans, too.)
As for storage, I found some containers called "Lock and Lock" at both Wal-Mart and at my local food store. They do an EXCELLENT job of keeping things fresh. If you ARE going to do some food stockpiling, don't forget oil. With all the people trying for "low-fat" stuff nowadays, it's easy to forget that many food oils contain small but crucial amounts of different vitamins, etc. You should definitely have at least one bottle of olive oil -- in an emergency, you can use that to make a lamp -- as well as some canola (aka rapeseed) oil to occasionally add to your cooking. And don't forget spices.
If you're planning on long-term (more than 6 months) storage of food, whatever you do, DON'T store the food in its original container. It's much too easy for pests to get into those boxes, etc. You'll need to transfer it to some kind of air-tight storage, such as the aforementioned "Lock and Lock" boxes.
There was a thread over at the "RaptureReady" bulletin board that has lasted almost 9 months on this subject. LMK if you can't find it.

Please pray for us who are being hammered with snow.
This is the worst storm here in Northeast Ohio since the 70's, I believe. I attempted to dig out & go somewhere, had to give up & go back inside. They announced on the news, that ALL the counties in & around my area are being told to stay off the roads, emergency vehicles only. I'm not sure how many inches have come down thus far, but it still looks like a blizzard outside.
GT - Be careful & am praying for you. On the bright side, you're probably making alot of extra money!
Alesia, please tell me that you're at home... I'd hate to be stranded anywhere else.
Stay safe, we're praying for you all.
Hi everyone! Hubby and I decided to get out and enjoy the day while getting our groceries bought. The weather here is pretty nice. No snow and I am so thankful!
ALESIA, you are a very intelligent young woman,so don't pick now to act foolishly by getting out on the roads. We have real good friends who moved to your state 2 years ago and they are ready to come home. They live in a rural setting and she hasn't been able to be out for over a week. Hum, sing songs, dance, knit, crochet, bake cookies or study Ephesians but stay indoors.
I will be praying for you and all the others that are caught in this mess.
Now for Global Warming!! Donna you asked and now you get it from a person who has lived in the best of times and the worst of times. Weather is a cyclic phenomenon! Has always been until Al Gore the Great Bore came on the scene. There was Global warming during Abraham's days, Moses days, Jacob's days, etc. That is what brought on the famine of the land. No cars, no spray cans, no factories just weather cycles. Also, there was a prophet named Elijah who called the rain to stop for 3 years and you know there was famine in those days also. By the way, HE CALLED THINGS INTO BEING THAT WERE NOT TO SHOW AND PROVE GOD TO HEATHENS!
Then there was global cooling, freezing, mud, snow, ice, fleas, frogs, lice, all of those things but God was the one directing the whole thing. Global warming you say! I say God is moving and getting man's attention but man, like always, is trying to turn it into a "we can control this thing" issue and missing the whole point. God knew it would be this way long before any human was ever made out of the dust of the land. Before a single rib was taken to form woman and before a big bite brought separation from God to mankind.
So, no I don't have any value to place on Brother Al regarding the Climate Change issue. Of course climates change, they been changing since the very beginning and an end will come but that is all under the direction of our creator and Abba Father.
NOW THE BEES! At our entrance portico, my husband planted bushes that have a little white blossom on them in the early summer. When the blossoms come so do the honey bees and it is risky walking or just being in the general area. Now why he planted those bushes there is beyond me but he didn't know about the bees. So by the end of the first week, our house was swarming in the past. This last May, there were only a handful of bees to be found and they were not aggressive like normally. The bushes smelled like rotten beer and we did everything to try to fix it. This fall, when they normally come back at the last blooming, no bees appeared at all!
Another thing that was greatly and sadly missing was the butterflies. We normally are inundated with Monarch butterflies in September or October. Not this year! We saw only a handful and they were really puny acting considering they were on their way to South America. So, yes, things are changing but why doesn't anyone connect it with God's moving things around for his Big Scene on earth? Why don't they understand that rebellion and sin will always bring destruction.
Did you know that one of the reasons Israel was in diaspora was because they didn't know the signs of the seasons? They also refused to obey the commandment of letting the land rest on the 7th year and the year of Jubilee requirements.
I just read Daniel 9,10,11 and 12 and there are things in that made my hair stand on end. Who are we to think we can get by with behavior that is worse than Israel's?
There is so very much happening now and we have to keep ourselves tuned to the Holy Spirit in us more and more. Will our minds be able to comprehend what is really taking place or will we be moved about by the Fresh Anointing and mighty wind that keeps the Gospel fires burning? I believe we are about to take part in a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit Baptism on all flesh! It will then be up to each individual to follow through.
Love you all,
Grany
Re the bees...
I have a huge peppercorn willow tree in my back yard that is still attracting thousands of bees. It was always a concern to me because my dog used to love chasing them and would get the occasional sting. I'll have to keep monitoring them.
Lori, I also felt that we should stock up, so I did so about six months ago. I chose food that is packaged for long term storage and also plenty of food we normally use but must be rotated. If something gets within a few months of an experation date I give it to a food shelf. (When the shelves are low, the food will be used before the experation date)
I also made sure everyone here would have warm bedding and I purchased a good first aid kit.
I did all this because I suddenly had a sinking feeling one day that this is really true, I really sense some catastrophy coming on our country. And so I thought through several scenarios and provided for my family within reason.
When I first came to this blog I was happy to learn that several others are doing similar things. I wish others in my family would also do this. I can't turn others away and I can't store up for everyone. Miraculously neverending cans of rice?
Lori, Shalom!
I neglected to mention earlier that I've felt the call of G_D to "stock up" so strongly that I bought a motor scooter. I've felt in the last month that I needed to find some motorized transport that had better mileage. I have a lot of money left from my inheritance, I had been looking at a new car, and I had actually made a decision which one to buy. Then I got to thinking that the mileage, while better, wasn't THAT much better than my existing car. So I started looking at motor scooters and found one that I decided to buy. I can plan on getting at least 75MPG (more as I loose weight), it's got a governor on it so it won't go over 30MPH (so it registers as a scooter instead of a motorcycle, and I won't need to get a motorcycle license), and it's on sale.
Then I lost my job. Even with that, I felt so strong about needing to get this that I decided to go ahead and do it. The question was when. Last night, I heard about gas prices in California reaching $5 per gallon, and that was the sign I was looking for. I talked to the dealer this morning, and on Monday I'll get a certified check for the full amount and buy my scooter. I probably won't pick it up until April, after all the snow has melted.
(If you want to see my new baby, go to TNG Scooters)

JIM, DID YOU GET IOWA HAWKEYE COLORS?
I like it and you know what that means: trading my Acura in for a Harley! Yeah, I got the black leathers to go with it except mine don't have any fancy chrome trimming or anything like that but what do I care. To feel the wind in my face and the smell of high priced gasoline. Yep, that's what I am going to do. First I am going to find out if there is any copper wiring to worry about in the motor. You know EMP explosions and such.
Now, you have gone and done it!

For Mr Carroll...
Born to Be Wild
At the motor show yesterday, they had a Harley powered by a V8 Chev! If I read it right, it had 500 wild horses just waiting to tear up the road. I'd hate to drop the thing on my leg though!
Nate, didn't you know? That sound of thunder you hear during a rain storm; well that is A Hog in Heaven! My brother used to tell me that all of the time when a storm would come our way. He almost had me convinced that Jesus rides a Harley in Heaven.
When I lived in Missouri I owned a scooter a lot like the one Jim showed us except mine was blue and white. I used it to get to the hospital lab where I worked. When ever a call came through for STAT, I could get to the lab in a little under 7 minutes from my home by going the back route through the fields and over the hills but driving a car would easily take 15 to 20 minutes and then you had to hope no one was out with radar checking everyone's speed.
I had white trouser but I would put on my husbands hunting pants over the top and off I would go. I loved it! My helmet was way too big but it worked just fine with a beehive hair do of those days. 60's kind of thing.
Oh, it is fun to remember how things were when youth is your constant companion and common sense was what you used to clean house with.
Grany
When I was first married and living in Missouri, my husband owned an "Indian" motorcycle and we would take it out for rides in the summer. It was a sure way to cool off and then come home and relax. No air conditioning at that time and in Northern Missouri, the temps were easily in the high 90's and 100's but the humidity was well over the 95 mark. So you learned to sweat alot. No sense getting in the shower and just be hot again.
Now don't get me wrong, my Mother didn't approve but then she lived a long way away from us and I was safe from tattletales. I like to sail too and scuba and fly and I have even flown an ultralight. Now that is one for the story books. I wanted to do wind surfing but Jim didn't think much of the idea. Still might get around to it someday.
Never can tell. You might see me on Believe it Or Not some day as the oldest woman ever to wind surf.
Grany
Lori - Thank you. Yes, thankfully, I am at home. (just woke from a nap due to a power outage)
Grany - Thanks too. I couldn't go anywhere even if I wanted to (but I must admit I did try)
You cracked me up with the Harley comment, trying to visualize.
Also, I completely agree with what you said about Global warming.
Thanks for the article Nate, am going to read it right now.
Jim - I was thinking about buying my daughter a Vespa scooter, since she refuses to drive a car. It looks like fun. I will NOT buy her a Harley though. LOL
Jim, that's a pretty snazzy scooter! 75mpg-seems like you made the wise choice!
Mac, why don't you can your bees? You'll be able to make a fortune now! I think I heard that the hives go for about 30K each.
Donna, Re:Global Warming. I think some of us get upset about it for the reasons Grany explained. It's not that we think it isn't happening and we're blind to it. It's the ulterior motives of the politicians and the Liberal save the Earth freaks that we are not blind to. We see where this "Movement" is taking our/and many countries into the direction of a "One World New Order."
It's all in God's plan but we are still human of course and probably a little edgey. We trust in our Lord yet we see the walls falling in around us. Our human nature is to survive and claw our way out.
I have to constantly remind myself that God's in contol and to remain calm and steadfast in the Word.
There are so many things happening so fast now-it's almost sureal.
Who ever thought that Leprosy would return? Never in my wildest dreams.
Lisa
Nate,
After also reading up on the Nephilim I think it explaines a whole lot of "Mysterious" things out there.
UFO's, Ancient Pagan Ruins-(ie:Stonehedge) Pyramids,Big foot and other Creatures. There is even a part bear face part hairy man thing. Greek Mythology-may not be so far fetched after all.
Who knows what these fallen angels will mate with.
Maybe that's why the Muslim's prophet required all women to cover their heads in public.
I guess it didn't work !!!(oh,no bad joke.)
But that really was a reason in the Biblical days for women to cover their hair.
Lisa
Nate - I just finished reading the article. I think I can poke holes through some of it. Like: the recessive gene of Ham's wife. Wouldn't God know this & make sure she was destroyed too?
If Bigfoot was like the Nephilim, of earthly women & fallen ones, where is their mother, the earthly woman?
But, it did mention something that I've been wondering about lately...
I've not read up on much of this, what does the bible or theologians say about the Neanderthal or Cro-magnon man? Is there a explanation for them?
Grany, Shalom! Until you mentioned it just now, I didn't think about "Hawkeye colors", but, yes! It only comes in yellow and black, and with something that small I want to be noticed, so I got yellow! I did think for a while about getting one of the more powerful models so I could get up to highway speeds, but I found out that the more powerful the motor, the lower the fuel efficiency. So, I'm sticking with the 49cc engine. Later on, if I want, I can have the governor removed and get the full 45 miles/hour; but I'll have to see if it's worth paying higher motorcycle insurance, etc.
As for the EMP protection, I honestly don't know, but I suspect it wouldn't be harmed by one. The problem with modern cars is that they all use computer-controlled fuel-injected systems, and have systems like clocks and alarms that are always on, always drawing power. If it's drawing power, an EMP will fry it. This scooter looks like "when it's off, it's off." Plus, in addition to electric start, it could be kick-started.
Nate, that's an interesting question: why DOESN'T Harley make a 49cc scooter? It'd be like the 13-yo 7th grader who could start for the high school football team and needs to shave every day. And Mac, with the V8 in the Harley, where did the rider sit?
<><
Alesia...Neanderthals etc
Jim, the gas tank was super wide and the engine was mounted underneath. My guess is that it was a small block Chevy. I think the scooter is a great idea and yellow is cool!
One of the guys in my gym is called Harley...a cool name. I made the remark that had my mother named me after a motorbike, it might have been Vespa (having been born in Italy). Of course, after that, guess what my nickname became for a while. Me & my big mouth!
Note from an African Martyr:
I'm part of the fellowhip of the unashamed, the die has been cast, I have stepped over the line, the decision has been made- I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ- I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure- I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving and dwarfed goals.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I won't give up, shut up, let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up for the cause of Jesus Christ.
I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till everyone knows, work till he stops me and when He comes for His own, He will have no trouble recognizing me because my banner will have been clear.
Joel has a new post
Donna
I agree with Jim, it is the height of arrogance to state that the bulk of any global warming or cooling that occurs can somehow be impacted one way or the other by humans.
We are also stockpiling on things like propane gas.
we have 5 cars built before 1968-no computer chips.
regarding bees-we haven't had a bee problem or a woodpecker problem for three or so years now. the bees were swarming our pool all the time and the woodpecker was incessantly pecking holes in our stucco house!
quick prayer request
my friend Teresa's dad did just get the news that he has stage 4 kidney cancer including mets to the brain. Chem and radiation aren't truly all that useful. he has very little time left barring any miracles. his doctor completely ignored the symptoms that he had.
when I instructed her to have the elders of the church come and pray for him and anoint him-apparently he wants to visits from the pastor! Tom is a Christian but sounds like he is struggling right now. he is quite claustrophobic and has staging tests tomorrow which he may not be able to get because of the claustrophobia. his treatment will be based in part on these tests. pray for Tom, his wife Donna, my friend Teresa and her daughter Katie (her grammpa was the only male figure in her life for a really long time)
Hi Folks,
Interesting info re: global warming. I still wonder why some folks sound so angry when the topic comes up...but Lisa's explanation may explain some of that.
I appreciate folks taking the time out to exlain.
:)
Good God Morning to you all,
DONNA, I think the reason some people get a little hot regarding the subject of Global Warming is simple. As a rule of human nature, no one likes to be lied to, especially by someone who is so self serving.
But Donna, history clearly shows the cycles and to try making something else out of it just is plain despicable to any person with any degree of common sense.
NOW ONTO THE BEES: I have wondered if some of the reason for the decrease amount of bee activity in our area isn't related to the high use of agricultural sprays on our very fertile crop lands? During the warm months there is a constant haze that takes on the appearance of low clouds but let it rain or get windy and it clears out real fast. The last 3 seasons it was getting worse and now we have an experimental farm set up to study all of it by Oklahoma State University. Also, one of the major manufacturers of Agri Chems is doing some further testing.
It is a shame because this part of Oklahoma has always been very pretty and pretty safe living in regard to the environment. One day we will know for sure but I do know it isn't tied into either political party!
JIM CARROLL: You will be notice on the Yellow scooter but be sure you have a bright tail light. I have a yellow helmet you would enjoy greatly. It has a bright orange wind mill on an antenna that has a blinking light in the middle. You know, the kind of thing that as kids, was on a stick and the wind would make it whirl around. The blades were curled. I can't remember the name of them. Oh, get me my ginseng, quick! The gray cells are asleep again.

Grany, Shalom! You wrote:

I've been thinking about this all day, and I just flashed on why. Did you see a documentary in the theaters called, "The World's Fastest Indian"? IMDB describes the plot as, "The life story of New Zealander Burt Munro, who spent years building a 1920 Indian motorcycle -- a bike which helped him set the land-speed world record at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967." I remember that because of a program on either The Discovery Channel or The History Channel around the time of Sturgis on motorcycles in America. It had a lot of information on the Indian brand of cycles -- it's adoption by different police departments, etc.
I've been checking out helmet prices online, and beginning to wonder if I've made a mistake. So many are between $300 and $600. But, I don't care if by law I only have to get a bicycle-style helmet. I'm getting one rated for motorcycles, and making sure my family knows to donate my organs if the worst happens. In fact, I firmly believe that you should not get a motorcycle license unless you check the box on the application that says you're an organ donor.

Hi all; Just trying to get caught up again on posts here and at Joel's.
Alesia, thanks for the prayers, it was a rough one out there this time. I think we got around 15 inches of snow and it shut down everything. People are just today getting "dug out" from it all. They are calling it the blizzard of 08 already.
Now whats this I here about global warming LOL!!
I side with everyone that says that warming ect is just cyclical. What about the "little ice age" and the warming before that. It allowed Iceland to be colonized and crops grew where there are ice sheets now! Climate change retoric is being used as a political ploy. I am all for the wise use of resources, but I think it may just be a way the "world system" will use to control people in these last days.
God Bless!
Nate, thank you for my invite and I set it up pronto. Hope I did it OK but I have to tell you, this is all new to me and even though I left a reply to your message it didn't show up when I checked it a minute ago. I am amazed at the professional quality of this program and I am excited to learn. Now you all might not be so excited to teach me but please don't give up on me.
I am going to suggest that we make a source of contact available in an emergency situation. I have felt for sometime now that our usual means of communication will be radically changed and so I have given my personal info on the link, just in case any of you need it.
If there is the chance that evil might lurk in one of our commenter's heart, then you will have to go through my Guards that God gave to each of us to carry out the threat. So I am not one bit concerned or fearful.
Love and cherish each and every one of you as if you were my own.

This is just something I ran across on the internet. I don't know how accurate it is but something to consider anyway:
Are Leading Right Wing Evangelists
Working For The NWO?
By Eric Jewell
editor@endtimezwarriorz.com
www.endtimezwarriorz.com
1-14-3
For those who avoid religious articles, let me assure you I avoid most of them, too and this is not a religious or doctrinal writing. This article offers facts and begs the question, "Is the religious right being duped into accepting the NWO and luring millions in turn to "getting chipped"?
The story begins about a year ago when I began to uncover and expose the relationship between Tim Lahaye, co-author with Jerry Jenkins of the 'Left Behind' Christian fiction series, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, and U.S. Intelligence agencies. What resulted from this was the 4 part series "Christianity and NWO - An Unholy Alliance".
During this time, Mr. Jenkins frequented Tyndale publishing's official 'Left Behind' message board. For various reasons I had several debates with him in his "author's forum". There was the discussion of Lahaye's relationship with Rev. Moon and intelligence personnel, which was at first denied until I began to publicly produce the evidence of these relationships, and then little by little individual facts were acknowledged while still denying the relationship.
This was only part of the story however, and as Paul Harvey would say, and now for... the rest of the story.
While in the process of discussing and debating the merits of Lahaye's relationship with US intelligence and the cult leader Rev. Moon, a second debate arose. This second debate could very well shed more light on the agenda of the authors and many conservative/Christian religious leaders of the right wing and their strange relationships with a man claiming to be messiah and their involvement in the intelligence community.
The Chang Scenario
Introduced into the series of books by Lahaye and Jenkins we see a character by the name of Chang. According to the authors, Chang associates with the hated Christians. At the same time however, he is living in a society, which is administering the Mark of the Beast and imprisoning, torturing, and killing those who have confessed Christ. He rides the fence and though he had not as yet received the mark, neither had he confessed Christ. The reason he gives for not receiving the mark is that it looks "painful". His father takes him to a medical facility where he is given the mark. Feeling doomed, he then finds his Christian friends who inform him that since he had been marked first by God, (???) the mark of God overcame the mark of the beast and he was now bearing both marks. Being familiar with the basic teachings of evangelical christianity, this certainly struck me as a strange scenario coming from 2 men who assume the roles of Christian teachers.
The same Bible that Lahaye and Jenkins claim to be teaching is very clear concerning the mark of the beast and the fate of those receiving the mark. It is the book of Revelation, chapter 13 that warns:
[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
[17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
[18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (666)
It is this very passage to which even non-Christians refer concerning VeriChip and Digital Angel, warning that this will indeed progress until it becomes mandatory, thereby becoming the mark of the beast.
Though Lahaye is closely associated with Rev Moon and US intelligence through the organizations he founded such as the CNP, he is also a political activist and helped co-found the Pre-Trib Research Center (PTRC). He is hailed by many Christians as a scholar of prophecy, so ignorance of the scriptures cannot be an excuse for leading the Christian right into such justification for taking the mark or "getting Chipped". Could it be that the Bible he claims to believe is vague concerning this issue? Again -- and this is why so many are raising their voices about VeriChip -- His Bible and mine are very clear concerning the fate of those who will be "chipped".
http://www.hti.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=DIV2&byte=5418365
Rev.14
[9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
[10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
[11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
There are several other passages as well which are just as descriptive.
Has this premise effected the church?
Five years ago, if anyone in the church had been asked if they could bear both the mark of the beast and the mark of God, I would have felt confident that no one in the church who knew anything about the book of Revelation would have endorsed such an idea. The sad truth is however that there are now many on Tyndale's 'Left Behind' message board who have began to accept the idea that if they or someone "left behind" (ie, not taken by Christ in the 'rapture' as the belief goes) are chipped they will be just fine because they were marked by God first. Given the popularity of the series in the western world, it could be conjectured that the Church is indeed being primed to accept that they can be "chipped" and still be spiritually safe because they were marked by God first. As strange as it may sound coming from such men Jenkins has actually stated this. (Email me for a portion of the actual discussion.)
The questions I am raising here are not theological. Even many people of other religions are warning about VeriChip. The questions I am raising are more of the conspiratorial nature. Let's examine a few points that few will argue against.
#1 There are people of many differing belief systems who would agree that we are living in what is commonly called "the last days".
#2 There are many who believe that the worlds leaders, including and especially our own, have sold out constituency and have been knowingly leading us into a New World Order.
#3 In order to usher in a one world government it is absolutely necessary to bring in as many individuals as possible from every segment of society.
For instance, if only Republicans were bringing in the N.W.O., the Democrats would rebel against it and there would be quite a scrap and too much time, effort and expense would make it a fruitless effort that in the end, even many N.W.O. pundits would condemn. It is necessary for republicans, democrats, and independents to back entering into the N.W.O. If it only included the non-religious, then the religious would rebel on a large scale and likely prolong its ushering in, if not completely defeating it. So yes, especially taking into account that much of the western world calls itself Christian, it is an absolute necessity to bring in the Bible believer, as well as a majority from every religion possible for the smoothest of transitions.
Bearing these common sense facts in mind the next logical conclusion is that it is necessary to infiltrate the leadership of the church. From pulpits to seminaries, to councils, to religious writings. The church attendee has for 2000 years been commonly called "sheep" because they follow the teachers of the scriptures. It is necessary to the agenda of the N.W.O. that they be given leaders who practice the art of "appearing" to expound on the teachings of Christianity, while in reality they are leading them into acceptance of a one world government and the acceptance of "getting chipped". What is the reward to those who take these leadership positions? Reverend Moon gives gold watches, all expense paid trips, and most formidably hard cash. The left behind series has netted the authors well over 10 million dollars apiece, and this figure was a few books ago. Since then Lahaye and Jenkins have renegotiated their contract with Tyndale, and you can be assured it wasn't because they felt they were receiving too much money.
A fresh look at members of Lahaye's CNP will reveal more strange bed fellows.
Sen. Jesse Helms
Endorses the Moon owned Washington Times, closely associated with the CIA, and a member of the Council for Foreign Relations (CFR). Member of Tim LaHaye's CNP Board of Governors, Member of the Religious Roundtable, also chaired by LaHaye and several other leading evangelicals. Sen. Helms was also an attendee of several of Rev. Moon's World Anti-Communist League (WACL) conventions; Member of Moon funded 'Heritage Foundation', and American Conservative Union.......
Lisa, Shalom!
I'm not quite sure what to make of that. I know the endtimezwarriorz.com domain is now up for grabs (i.e., the web site that originated that story is no longer around). It appears the Tyndale Publishing's official 'Left Behind' message board is no longer around, so that part of the article can't be verified.
Simply put, this strikes me as something that belongs on The Conspiracy Channel. I've never been one to think the Mark of the Beast is a barcode or an id chip. As I've said before, I believe the Mark is the Bismallah, the prayer that Muslims have on flags and banners, and wear either around their heads on headbands (on the forehead) or on armbands on their right arms (on their right side or right hand).
<><
Here I go off on another tangent.
I've never heard of this Mr.Moon Character nor do I know much about the "Unification"church. They are the group that does these "Mass Weddings" and thinks marriage is the ultimate divine covenant and replaces communion and other things. If your not married then you won't be able to reach a higher state of divine revelation.
MoonvsChristianity
They also deny the divinity of Jesus-definately a source from Satan.
This was a good debate to watch. The spokesman from the Unification church get's caught in the authority of the Scripture and starts to look pale.
With good reason. Hope he was "shaken to the core."
Lisa
ok must admit having a blonde moment so need help with the yahoo group thing-I was afraid that is what you all were going to do and I wasn't successful with another group so how about a little help.
i take it I need to set up a yahoo account of my own? what name is it tied to?
Check this one out. Look at Moon's son at the pulpit. He looks like he's possessed.
MoonsDaughterinLaw
Alright, I've had enough w/the Unification Church.
I'm over it.
Grany
how funny that you thought more personal info should be placed also. I also thought as much.
Lisa
I doubt very highly the article on LaHaye/Jenkins is accurate regarding their association with Rev Moon and the NWO.
it would be completely inconsistent with what I have seen and heard from both men. look at some of the people who troll at Joel's-I'd place this Eric guy in the same category. I frequented the Left Behind boards for a while and you only think Joel's gets contentious!
regarding the whole Chang thing-this guy obviously hasn't done his homework. Chang was quite clearly a Christian before the mark of the beast was applied against his will and while he was drugged. He did not actively seek or choose the mark it was forced on him. The feeling of the fictional elders was that because he Chang had claimed Christ before this and had the mark of God on him and was a personal choice and not forced on him that it was the true mark. Those who are accursed of God are those who choose the mark of the beast of their own free will.
Jim,
I did some looking into the Bismallah as well.
It does look like it could be a symbol or somehow tied into the Mark of the Beast.
But my take is that this "mark" is tied into a world wide economic system.Do you think it's more pausable for everyone to wear this banner somehow? Rev 13:17 ...and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
I don't know if the translation in Greek is "Or" but take a closer look. It says no one can buy or sell who has the mark "OR" name "Or" number.
Back up to Rev 16: He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave,to receive a mark on their right hand (Chip perhaps?) or on their foreheads (Bisamallah?)or number (?)
Maybe there will be three different ways to mark people.
I know it's stretch-just a guess.
Lisa
Actually the message boards are still there you just have to know where to look.
the message board used to be free to look at and read the activity and if you joined when the books first came out it didn't cost anything. then as the books became more popular the message board was placed under the "prophecy club" heading. You could still read for free but to comment you had to pay a quarterly fee-which also got you access to a newsletter that I could never read anywhere but one of our local wifi hotspots (and I have access to multiple computers in multiple places). Now you can't even read for free-one must now pay for that also. and it STILL isn't as congenial as one might think
Jib,
I did find that LaHaye/Jenkins-Moon senario hard to believe.
I purposely have not read the Left Behind series-not that I would not enjoy it-but I didn't want the fictional ideas to be in the back of my mind at this point in time.
So thanks for the clarification of the "Chang" character in the book.
So far I have found Moon tied to of course the Washington paper and the Republican Party though.
Lisa
Jim ,I googled LaHaye and Moon- there seems to have been some connection between the two of them.
I think the problem with LaHaye is that he's too politically involved.
I just can't get this out of my mind "to deceive even the elect.."
We are definately in those times needing to be extreemly watchful.
Lisa
Following is a quote off of "seperation of Church & State" website:
"LaHaye was also damaged by revelations that he had accepted money from the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the controversial Korean evangelist. Bo Hi Pak, a longtime Moon operative, gave ACTV $10,000, and LaHaye subsequently agreed to serve on the board of directors of Moon's own Religious Right group, Christian Voice. LaHaye also joined the board of another Moon front, the Council for Religious Freedom (CRF), which was formed primarily as a vehicle to protest Moon's 1984 imprisonment after he was convicted of filing false tax returns and obstructing justice.
The LaHaye-Moon tie was laid bare after a fawning letter surfaced that LaHaye had penned to Pak thanking him for the $10,000. LaHaye resigned from the Christian Voice and CRF boards and tried to distance himself from Moon, but the damage was done. The puritanical LaHaye, who never hesitated to blast anyone whose Christian beliefs were not as narrow as his own, was unable to explain his relationship with Moon a man who holds unorthodox theological views that fall far outside the mainstream of Christianity and has a habit of stating that he is a messiah sent to complete the failed mission of Jesus. (Despite the flap, LaHaye never did sever all ties to Moon. Beverly LaHaye spoke at a Moon event in Washington, D.C., as recently as 1996.)
After the Moon and Kemp debacles, LaHaye left the public political stage. Although Beverly LaHaye continued to run Concerned Women for America, Tim LaHaye's political work moved behind the scenes with the CNP. In the wake of the Moon scandal, ACTV collapsed in 1986, and LaHaye accepted a low-profile position as an assistant pastor at a large Baptist church in Rockville, Md.
LaHaye resurfaced in a big way in 1995 with the publication of Left Behind, the first book in the series..."
Lisa, Shalom!
The bit about not being able to buy or sell is already occurring in Gaza and some parts of the PA. Christians would never wear the Bismallah, so there are now merchants who won't do business (buy or sell) to someone who is not wearing the Bismallah. Also, if the Bismallah IS the mark of the beast, then "the number of the beast" could be translated as "the multitude of the beast".
<><
Lisa, Shalom!
To add to what I just wrote, "the mark of the beast" doesn't have to be tied into any economic system. During Nazi Germany, non-Aryans were required to wear identifying badges: yellow stars for Jews, brown triangles for Gypsies, pink triangles for sexual offenders (homosexuals in particular). If you were not wearing your proper identifier when the police asked for your identity papers, you would be sent to prison. In time, it simply became illegal to buy or sell anything to someone with a yellow star.
Likewise, there is a long history of dhimmis (non-Muslims living in Muslim territory) to be forced to wear some kind of identifying badge, which allowed them to be controlled. The Greek word charagma, which is translated as "mark", also means "a badge of servitude or allegiance." A slave would wear a charagma to show who his owner was. (They could also have their owner's mark tattooed or branded on their forehead.) The Greek word dexios, simply means "right", which could be translated as "right arm", "right hand", or "right side", depending on context.
You can also show allegiance through your name. Your name would identify your family, your clan, and ultimately your religion. In an Islamic country, the name "Barak Hussein Obama" is a name form that immediately would identify you as a Muslim -- a Christian simply wouldn't have a name like that. (This is one of the reasons the rumors about Obama being a Muslim are still going around.)
So if Islam is the religion from where the Beast will arise, you are identified as a Muslim in three ways: having the mark (the Bismallah either around your forehead or on an armband on your right arm), having a name that identifies you as a Muslim, or simply following the multitude/number of Muslims. It doesn't have to be a formal law or decree. It could simply be that if you don't have one of these identifying characteristics, then you can't buy or sell anything.
<><
Nate, I'm glad you asked Grany that question because I didn't get a message from you and was about to feel...left behind! (Sorry couldn't help it)
Lisa, when I read the article about LaHaye and Moon I did a little research and was also creeped out to find how involved Moon seems to be in the conservative movement. I was happy to learn that Paul Weyrich (Moral Majority and Heritage FOundation) refused money from him.
I so agree with you on "even the elect will be deceived" and pray consistently that my family and I will have discernment.
Someone said (sorry I can't remember who, this happens when I catch up on reading posts and should have been taking notes!) they hadn't heard about Moon. During the "Jesus revolution" of the '70s, when I was saved, there were Moonies everywhere on our campus. The goup I was involved with rescued a number of them, sometimes physically running away and hiding if one indicated they wanted out while we were evangelizing to them. The brainwashing was eerie.
After all these years, I don't remember many details of the cult but I do remember reading one of Moon's statements (as a full page ad, I think, in the Washington Times) where he proclaimed he is the messiah.
One of the bits of information I found last night said that Moon was a VIP guest at Reagan's inauguration. I don't know if that's true, but it sure would be disappointing. Anyone know?
Oh yes, the "Moonies"!
I'm pretty sure he claimed himself to be God!
There were lots of moonies running around in the 70's for sure!
Just one of many cults!
Morning all,
Regarding Moonies, a teacher friend of mine has an adult son who is a totally devoted Moonie. He lives out west, CA I believe, and never comes home to visit the family in PA. Joan doesn't know his wife and has only met his children a few times - her own grandchildren!
The marriage was arranged by Moon himself.
Brainwashing is a major aspect and her son won't listen to anything the family tells him about the group. (They're Catholic and Joan has 4 other children who also try to reach out to him.) At one point, she tried an intervention when he was visiting her and she was prepared to have him 'kidnapped' and reprogrammed (I think there's a group that does that...kinda like an exorcist? I never got all the details and didn't want to ask her to explain.) But it failed and he escaped back to the west coast. I met him once at her 70th birthday party when the whole family was together, but he left the same day he flew in.
A very sad story and a heartache for her.
Blessings,
Jen
Here's something to go along with our current discussion...
Southern Baptist Leaders Issue Surprising Call to Fight Climate Change
Blessings,
Jen
Have y'all read this:
Vatican lists "new sins," including pollution
Jen
Eph 4:14 comes to mind on the whole southern Baptist thing
That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Lisa
I'm not saying that at one time they weren't strange bedfellow but I would like the material to come from a more reputable source than a place like Separation of State and Church or any of the other left wing sites I found the same information on. I am always a little suspicious of such sites and their info because they have an axe to grind and are anti religion to the core.
What most of you don't realize perhaps is just how anti-religion the IRS really is and what pressures were being applied. For example, Bob Jones U (Dr LaHaye received his degree there) lost their tax exempt status over inter-racial dating and marriage due to enormous amounts of political pressure applied to the IRS. BJU wouldn't back down at the time because they really do believe or did at the time that interracial dating or marriage was in direct opposition of Scripture. I personally didn't agree then or now and it is a big part of why I left there. They did lose their tax exempt status at that time.
Regardless of whether one agrees with the Mooonies (and I don't) or not the fact is that there was a really big push at that time to yank the tax exempt status of multiple religious entities because certain political groups didn't like what they believed. I would suspect that the feeling was that the tax exempt status of no religious entity, cult or not, could be yanked because it would be a slippery slope from there. Since the problems of BJU happened on Reagan's watch I wouldn't be surprised to hear really that Moon was there. a highly pragmatic approach but seems to rely more on man than on God.
I was really disturbed (though not surprised) to read the following CNN article:
Southern Baptist leaders shift position on climate change
This article looks similar to the one Jen posted about from Fox.
This is very bad. Of all the real life threatening issues we face right now (global terrorism, rampant violent crime, a nuclear Iran, a dictator in Russia bent on conquest, an economy that is on the edge of collapse etc.), many of our church leaders and congregations are concentrating their efforts on something that is a lie. Even if GHG global warming were occurring (anyone who actually takes the time to examine the evidence knows that it is a load of crap (we are currently undergoing one of the snowiest and coldest winters in Ontario in many years)) the life threatening effects of this false threat would not occur for a 100 years or so. Do you really think with all the other threats we are currently facing that the planet is going to last that long in its current state to even worry about it warming up?
The church has no business getting involved in matters like climate change. The church is supposed to be about saving souls, not "fixing" the environment. We should be good stewards of the planet, but that is not to be our focus. Once again, Satan has found a way of taking the church's focus off its primary objective and putting its focus on nonsense.
God Bless,
Harold
Campsmore, Shalom! Just a point of correction: the secular press may call these "new sins", but the title of the interview that this information came from (in L'Osservatore Romano) was "New Forms of Social Sins." They aren't new sins; they are modern extensions to behaviors that are already known to be sinful.
<><
Wow, good points, Harold.
Now I see what some folks are all upset about w/ re: global warming issue.
ARRRGGHH! must... not... reply... to... anonymous...
Sorry -- just read Anonymous' reply to Glen over on Joel's site. I just have to tell myself that if Anonymous is going to ignore our postings (I posted the link to the blog entry that talked about TJF applying for membership in ECFA, but I guess there's no independent proof that they DID apply for membership, is there?), then I'll just have to ignore Anonymous's posting.
Wish me luck...

I was disappointed to hear one one of the DJs on our local Christian station a few weeks ago announce that the station employees were 'going green' by committing to no longer use disposable water bottles (ie. Deer Park, Crystal Springs, etc.) and would each have their own sports water bottle that they refilled instead.
She encouraged listeners to check out their website for a list of other ways they could participate in the campaign.
I'm not against recycling...it fits perfectly with my frugal nature and I think there's Scriptural support for the concept of making the most out of the least, but the focus is obviously in the wrong place. No one is going to come to know Christ if that's the only message they hear and as someone (jib?) said, it's a slippery slope once the focus shifts in that direction.
Blessings,
Jen
Glen and anonymouse are one in the same
jen,
I wonder if the employees from that Christian radio station read this article:
Prescription drugs found in drinking water across U.S.
I guess they better be careful where they fill those reusable water bottles from. :-)
Oh, well... I tried not to reply. At least I was polite...
<><
Nate, I am sorry that I am so tardy in replying. Hubby refused to set the clocks up in the main part of the house and it has caused a mess. So, we are running an hour late on everything.
Now my comment regarding the private gathering of us; I posted a reply to your comment after I got signed up but it didn't get posted. I didn't really understand the whole process due to distractions going on here at home but I will recheck later.
My email account has been doing funny things again also, so i am working on getting it fixed too. My firewall is blocking my ability to send out messages again.
Checking back later.

Regarding predestination. I have always had a problem with this because my formative years were spent in a Primitive Baptist Church (VERY Calvinistic). I ran across an article by Peter Rose on Rapture Ready called "Predestined...?" which helped me a lot.
Jamie,
I posted some ESL info at my blog "Walk This Way" ....go to my profile and then to that blog.
Let me know if you need anything further. It's pretty general, so if you have any specific questions, I can answer better.
Blessings,
Jen
we are commanded to be good stewards of what God has given us and that includes the earth.
Recycling is not unreasonable. Planting trees to replace those cut-also a good idea. But the key is not to make things like this and like global warming the center of one's life and worship the creation rather than the Creator.
Thanks for pointing the article out, Sara. I just checked it out. I lean towards the "elect" and "predestined"...that it is He who opens people's eyes and ears and hardens and softens peoples hearts.
Pete Rose's article at Rapture Ready offers a good explanation of this teaching.

'Obaman' theology
Jim,
I agree with your thoughts on the Bisamallah in a regional sense as being a "mark of the beast."
So my question to you is- Do you think this particular way of marking-the headband, tatoo, patch,& name will be the world wide method as well?
There is so much information availabe now on the Refid/VeriChip chip, I just can't discredit it as being another possible avenue of having "The mark" as well.
I know it seems too obvious to be true. Every Bible belter over the years has been talking about it.
RealIDAct
This is an excerpt from that link:
Many other countries use national IDs without much dissension, but there seems to be loud apprehension to the idea from Americans. Even their British counterparts are well on their way to a similar fate. The U.K. will begin issuing ID cards utilizing fingerprint and iris scan information for all non-European Union citizens re-applying to stay in the country after the first six months. Future political sway could determine whether or not these ID cards will be mandatory for all citizens in the U.K.
The Great Delusion
Here is some more updated info on the Real ID in regards to individual states in the US.
Seems like we may be off the hook for awhile.(2018?) Many States at this point are opposed to it.

But-if another major attack happens-who knows.
Jib,
Granted what I posted about LaHaye/Moon was taken from Liberal Agenda sites-which I take with a grain of salt.
But that's not to say that there isn't some truth invoved in some of their statements.
You have to admit-when they go after something-they do it with a vengence.
They also don't care if a few lies are thrown in the mix-so proceed with caution but that's where our dicernment comes in.
I just use what I think may have some validity as a starting point-then continue on from there.
I personally have liked what LaHaye has to say. I saw him at a prophesy conference and purchased his book w/Thomas Ice-"Charting the End Times."
So when I ran across that info re:He and Moon-I really wanted to check it out.
Lisa
Hi Jen- I left a comment at your Blog. Did it post? Thanks for the info!!

Can anyone tell me how to edit my profile?
DUH! Never mind!

We call that a "brain fart" he he he
Late Night Lisa
The chips have been around for a while and the RFID chip is actually used by many retailers already and in several countries ( and the US) for buying, security and medical records.
The stores can actually track you ( if one is in the shoe or purse or tag on your clothing) around the store.
You can check out www.spychips.com.
Also run a search for RFID ink they have started using the ink on the livestock. A tattoo ( mark) that tracks the live stock it is interesting to see how they have developed this start with the animals.

I would need to check but I think Texas is online for the chip in the DL in 2012
Sorry - i still can't do the link thingy

Lisa, Shalom! You wrote:

In a word, yes. While other methods such as the ID chips may be used in some places, "the patch" has one huge advantage: it's low-tech. Using a chip that's inserted under the skin and read by a specialized scanner would be possible in the industrialized nations, but not the entire world. In the rural regions of the Third World, organizing, implementing, and maintaining such a system would be problematic at best and require specialized central agencies. Experience has shown that in certain parts of the world, these agencies are prone to corruption, meaning it would be expensive but trivial to bypass the system.
Using a badge, name, colors, etc. for identification, though, is already in place in many parts of the world to indicate clan and family affiliation, as well as religion. Most if not all cultures have used such methods in their history to keep track of "outsiders," so it would be easy to start doing it again. We have that today in America with our street gangs, with gang colors and markings. Such systems are locally self-regulating and need no central authority to enforce it, since the community itself enforces it. Local authorities (police, fire, etc.) do not need a central authority to tell them to perform certain acts against a people; they just need to NOT provide aid when needed or required.
We already know this has happened in the past in America and can easily happen today. There is a growing problem in the military where gang members are joining and have greater loyalty to their gangs than to their units. It raises the real possibility of large sections of the military refusing to follow orders if not given by an authority they recognize. We have examples too numerous to mention of crimes being committed against blacks and other minorities, where the victims knew there was no point to going to the police since nothing would be done except label the victim a "troublemaker." We also know through social psychology experiments that the only thing that is needed for this to happen is for someone in authority to take responsibility for the actions away from the individuals. If someone in authority says the action is OK and the individual MUST do this, then most people were willing to do the action regardless of the pain it caused someone else.
I don't necessarily believe the entire world will be involved; for certain it would be the world as Apostles knew it and "many other nations." I believe the re-establishment of the Ottoman Empire (The Caliphate) will be enough. The Japanese did not attack Pearl Harbor with the intent of starting a prolonged war with the US. The intent was to keep the US from projecting its power in the South Pacific. The Americans were interfering with Empire of Japan's development of the Southern Co-Prosperity Sphere, a plan for economic control of Southeast Asia. Likewise, it will not be essential for America to come under direct control of the Caliphate; all that will be necessary is to keep America from projecting its power where it might interfere with certain plans. THAT will be much easier to accomplish.

Kinsella's Article
I posted this over at Joel's too. I just love his step by step explanation of things. I, being brilliant, don't need that of course. It's the simple minded among you.....
JUST KIDDING!!!
I honestly think the mark of the beast is going to be a more permanant problem for those who have taken it.
The reason I say this, is that if it's just a piece of fabric:
1. How does one keep the mark from being stolen it's fabric, since it will be necessary to have it to buy and sell?
2. What if someone regrets having it? If it was merely fabric, you could just throw it away. I don't get the impression it's going to be such a simple solution.
Perhaps wearing such symbols now, just desensitises (sp?) one to the mark of the beast which is yet to come.
me gramer nede work
Campsmore, Shalom!
When I talk about a "badge" with the mark of the beast, I'm talking about an armband or a headscarf with the Bismallah printed on it. I'm not talking about something that you would be required to buy and wear (at least not initially). I'm talking about something that most people in America might pick up as a decoration, like a Coca-Cola t-shirt. As time would go on, if you walked into a store without it on, you might have a hard time being waited on, or the clerk would go on break just as you got to the register (but someone wearing the Bismallah would always get fast, friendly service). If you've been wearing it for a while, but just decided not to wear it that day and walked into your usual restaurant, you might get one person after another asking where your armband was.
I imagine that, just as Muslim taxi drivers in Minneapolis are fighting for the right not to carry people with dogs (including the blind with seeing-eye dogs) because dogs are unclean animals in Islam, there may be store owners who would fight for the right not to serve people not wearing the Bismallah (as in "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service"). During the Civil Rights movement, some store owners would put up signs reserving the right to refuse service to someone. This was a perfectly legal way to avoid serving black people, and stopped only because it started costing people money in lost business. This could be argued as an extension of a store-owner's right to refuse service. When it's just one Middle-Eastern food store, it's one thing; when it's a local chain of convenience stores, it's another.
Again, we're talking about societal rules enforced by your friends and neighbors, not state laws (except where the state allows you to deny service). I imagine there might be some small black churches who would urge their people to get the Bismallah because it is a wonderful prayer to G_D and because then you get to support these small businesses run by African Muslim immigrants, giving you the opportunity to witness to them. This in turn might draw in some of the larger mainstream churches, especially if it's framed as a protest against the Israeli apartheid against the Palestinians. (Say, sometime after the War of Gog and Magog, when Israel somehow managed to decimate those thousands and thousands of soldiers coming to free the Palestinians from Israeli oppression?)
As for regrets, too bad. You've marked yourself in the community as following the number/multitude. After being hassled by clerks and co-workers for having taken off your armband (and getting an off-the-record conversation with your boss about not causing problems in the workplace), how many people would say it's just not worth the trouble and just put the d*mned thing on?
I watched "A Man For All Seasons", the movie about Sir Thomas More, on Turner Classic Movies the other night. Got sucked into it while trying to do something else, and couldn't stop watching. I may make my kids sit down and watch it. There's a line in there that stays with me. Towards the end of the movie, Sir Thomas is in a dungeon in the Tower of London and is permitted a visit by his family. At the end of the visit, when everyone realizes this is the last time they will see their husband and father alive, the jailer tells them it's time to leave. He won't even give them an extra five minutes together. As the jailer is locking Sir Thomas' cell, he says, "Sorry about that, sir. Rules is rules. I'm a simple man; I don't want any trouble."
How many simple men who don't want any trouble do you know?

Back to Jerusalem Org has asked for prayer on the following:
Dear Prayer Team,
Greetings in the Lord! Exciting things are happening in the Kingdom of God! We rejoice to have you come along side the Chinese believers in fervent prayer and support once again. Corinthians 4:5-6 gives a clear picture of the heart of the BTJ missionaries, and the desire of any true witness for the Kingdom of God. Paul says "For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." That is the core of what our Chinese brothers and sisters in the field are proclaiming. It is the light of knowledge that allows these workers to rejoice in their call from the Lord and persevere in the face of trial. They know that it is only the Lord who can unveil the hearts of the nations and allow them to see the light and beauty of the Gospel of Christ and they willingly accept the task to be agents of that light.
Join with us to bring the following requests before God:
1. Continue to pray that the house-churches will be able to expand the Kingdom of God in China in spite of the increased control and scrutiny by the government in connection with the Olympic Games. Pray especially for the large cities that will host Olympic events.
2. A BTJ missionary brother asks for prayer for guidance in a situation of personal needs.
3. One BTJ missionary sister is having great difficulties with her visa. Pray for the Lord's wisdom and for open doors.
4. Pray for the start of construction of a BJT "platform" in an undisclosed country in South East Asia.
5. Pray for the BTJ orphanage which is in process of being established in a certain area.
6. Pray for two BTJ missionaries that are being trained in certain vocational skills.
We praise and thank the Lord for each one of you, Prayer Team. Your witness and perseverance in prayer is vital to the working out of this unique call to the Chinese Church. We pray with you that the light of knowledge will shine in the hearts of every tribe and tongue and that the Glory of Christ will fill the nations all the way back to Jerusalem!
We'll keep the BTJ in our prayers daily

Sorry, Grany. I been sick and busy. And you know us males are sooks.
Mac, I am so sorry to hear you are sick. I will be praying for you right now. You get well and stay that way.
Thanks for responding, I was really concerned.
Shalom Brother,
Grany
HI mac sorry to hear you have not been feeling well you are in my thoughts and prayers too
:)
you all are!
<><
hey mac...whats a sook? must be an australian term?
Thanks for the prayers. More concerned for my mother though as she's got it too tho not as bad. It's flu related. I may have picked up a bug at the Motor Show. I felt like I had razor blades in my throat, aches in the joints and high temps. Have I generated enough sympathy yet?
A sook or sooky la la is a cry baby.
Hey Mac,
Hope you're feeling better soon (24hour flu bugs hit hard, but are gone quick, so hopefully you'll just have that.)
I'm going to start using your term "sooky la la" for my daughter. It's perfect! Her defense mechanism (with 2 brothers to contend with) is to cry and whine whenever she's attacked by them....very annoying, but I can't get her to fight back yet. And her nickname is La La to boot!
Blessings to all,
Jen
Dear Mac,
We're worlds apart and my son has the same virus. His fever has been hovering around 102.5. I'm hoping the virus will burn itself up, for both of you.
I don't have the heart to tell him he's a sooky. ha!
lori
I hope and pray that everyone will feel better soon. Sounds like lots of folks are entitled to feel sooky!
Thank you for the new post, Mr. Hyde. Interesting quote from CS Lewis...I wonder how true it is.
I just finished watching Eliot Spitzer resign. The news programs and his speech spoke about: wrongdoing, hypocrisy forgiveness, atonement.... interesting concepts for people to be focusing on!
