If anyone could assist me in lifting "Mike" up in prayer.
He's a contractor who I've been spending some time chatting with as he's painting/fixing up the flood mess.
Mike is a tall hippie surfer type guy in his 50's who loves classic cars. A real car nut & very smart.
I've been talking w/him about things of a Christian spiritual nature & so far he's been cool about it. Can't really tell what he's thinking but is polite & likes to talk.
Today he finds out one of his good friends who lives in Montana called the police to come over to his house. When they showed up he came out of the house, put a gun in his mouth & pulled the trigger. (His wife wasn't home.)
So Mike wasn't sure if he was going to make it through the day- he was pretty distraught.
The good thing was that I had the opportunity to share more about why bad things happen due to our sin nature, & more Christian spiritual truths.
I printed off a couple pages of scripture which he read & also took home. He commented on the Matthew 24 Olivet Discourse & agreed how it truly reflects what's going on now w/the earthquakes & all the crazies.
Anyway- I pray his heart will soften & that he will seek the Lord in his life. Perhaps one of the scriptures will touch him.
Praying for Mike and his friend/family. As I was mentioning to someone recently, I think all the physical tumult of the world is causing people to ask the questions they've been avoiding for a long time, so it might not be as difficult to reach them with the good news as it has been in the past. I learned today that a good friend's husband came to the Lord last week. Their marriage was on the rocks and he had moved out, plus he has been out of work for over 6 months, so there is a huge financial burden on top of it all. I was so thrilled today to hear the news and how their marriage is being mended and the relationship with the kids strengthened. I'm reminded of Romans 5:20...where sin abounded, grace abounds much more. There's going to be a lot of unraveling taking place in the days ahead, but I think there will also be great swaths made in the harvest fields, too.
Lisa how rough for Mike. perhaps this will be his wake up call.
DH has a friend who borders on militia type-he also has been cool about me sharing prophetic and Bibilical info also-pray for Tim as well. He is so in need.
I don't often get scared but we just had a hail storm that got my heart ticking a little faster. I could hear a wailing roar from outside and thought it was raining or some giant machine whirring. In fact it was the roar of hail coming down that hadn't hit the ground yet. Very eerie and frightening. I was wondering why the birds went missing a few hours ago.
Mr. Hyde, now you know what a tornado sounds like, kinda. You had a good reason to be a little more than alarmed.
I have several friends by the name of Linda and one of them would love to join all of us here at the cave. This Linda is a very gracious lady that I had the opportunity to become friends with in the early 90's. We belonged to the Methodist Church and were part of the praise, worship and prayer group. It was at this group's Saturday Night prayer meeting that I attended on July 7, 1990 and received my healing for a very serious back and nerve injury. Linda was part of that group that laid hands on me, prayed and healing was manifested in me. It was the beginning of a wonderful new walk with the Holy Spirit and life has never been the same since.
I have no idea what name she will use to join us but I do hope you will all welcome her to the blog. Her son is the one that lives in Dallas and had his apartment broken into and his possession stolen, then quickly returned because of prayer.
This Linda is not the one that has posted on here before.
Thank you and have a blessed night, day and forever, Grany
Praying for Mike and Tim, too. Mac, that sounds scarey! Grany, we look forward to hearing from Linda. Hopefully all is well with you all during this wonderful harvest season!
Grany, I'm betting we did get a mini tornado. My brother rang saying he saw large hail stones spinning around in large circles. He was a tad excited as well. The creek behind his house broke its banks - first time in over 15 years.
Hail storms are loud! We've been thru a few, but then again, nothing compared to a hurricane.
The hail storm last week was different though. There was no warning. Nothing, no rain, just a dark sky and then woosh, hail. Along with the hail we believe we had a tornado as well. The wind flipped huge concrete planters in our neighborhood.
The biggest hail I've ever seen personally was about golf ball size, it broke windows, but that was way back in 1986.
I know it sounds weird, but I take benedryl and go to sleep during the hurricanes because the pressure is so great in my head. We're not sure why, but I seem to be a human barometer. When the barometric pressure drops, I start praying against dangerous storms. lol

I Samuel 17:37 "David said moreover, The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me out of the hands of the Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go, and the Lord be with you."
(This verse stood out to me this week.) Could the lion represent England, and the bear represent Russia? Could the Philistine be represented by Islam even though it is newer than even Christianity? Could the giant in David's life represent the "tiny" Ahmadinejad, mocking the name of the living God?
When the last message came thru my email box just now, it has added links for EU and US, which is really weird. Can you all check your email version of the last message and see if it has added links too?
Can anyone tell me how I can manually check my IP address? Things are getting curiouser and curiouser!
Where did the added links appear in relationship to your news links? I just received the last e-mail message from your post as well and don't see the added links for EU and US that you'r referring to.
Well, Lisa, I just spent all morning studying about the different versions of the Bible and have many hours to go, I'm sure. One thing is for sure, when I read the different versions I will be checking against the KJV. Even my Greek Interlinear has me suspicious.
The little reading on it I did was quite surprising. I don't think that a person couldn't read the Word & become saved though various translations but when someone is trying to convince you of a particular theology it could be quite deceptive.
This is how the JW's deceive people into believing their "version" of what is true. The JW Bible has a verse butchered here and there but the rest is the same as all other bibles. Just the key scriptures that support their beliefs are tampered with. It's just enough "leaven" to spoil the whole lump & if people don't know enough to check (which I didn't) it can be disastrous.
I guess that's where the false prophets/teachers bring in their dangerous heresies comes in. The "unlearned" get hoodwinked.
Then I found out that the JW translation was originally put together by someone who was involved in the occult. Then you have some Bible translations promoted by the same organization that promotes the Satanic Bible.
The Good Fight Ministries (which expose movies & Hollywood) have a new "Theatre" page. You can type in a movie to check on it or scroll down the side bar. This will play clips of the movie & explain the Biblical discernment issues w/it.
It's really a great resource for Christians. Either to check on a movie they are thinking about watching, have watched or for people who have no clue about the message behind them.
Lori, reading the news and what I found was: #3 US is included in original headline lead; #9 EU is the same thing. The original stories contained the initials in the headlines.
MAC, When we have the right elements for a tornado to develop, hail is a common component. It is the rule of thumb around here that the size represents the power of the storms that could have hit. But I have no idea if that is backed up by science. I know hail damage is common and all I can say is, Welcome to the Club.
But your best protection against such devilish things is "Plead THE Blood of Jesus". In fact, we are now entering the Season of God's Protective Power in this part of the world. You all know it isn't just about storms that you can have that protection, don't you?
The sun is shining brightly here and the Son is Shining even brighter! Hallelujah!
We were involved in a small tornado with major hail some years ago. We were at a camp near a lake and the only place for us (and about 40 other people, including many children) to shelter was in a small house with a corrugated tin roof. The noise was deafening! Afterward, when things calmed down, we checked out our car and it was full of pock marks. My grandparents' farm was hit by a major tornado once (by western PA standards anyway) and entire farm buildings were blown away. A huge oak tree just a few yards from their back door was blown over, but the house was left untouched except for 1broken window. Grandma heard the "train" sound as they were on their way to the basement. She said she could feel herself being pulled backward by the suction, but managed to get the door closed and down the steps. Amazing doesn't begin to describe the protection over them that day.
My daughter (the one who stole my Dr. Frucht's book) asked me to ask all of you if you have ever heard of Jakob Lorber and if so, what are your thoughts about him.
Anne, Try JACOB LORBER here and somewhere in my literature there is another book addressing various writers and such of the 1800's. I have no idea about him other than what others have written.
Something nice going on at Beth Moore's blog. She asked everyone to "Look up Scriptures that have to do with strength and power and victory and write some out in a comment to this post." So, if you go to the comments you see verse after encouraging verse. Great for anyone going through a tough time. I'm going to try to print it.
G.K. Chesterton notes that Jesus' burial ended the possibility that what this world has to offer will satisfy us. He concluded that all of human history itself was buried with Jesus Christ.
"It was well that the tomb should be sealed with all the secrecy of ancient eastern sepulture and guarded by the authority of the Caesars. For in that cavern the whole of that great and glorious humanity which we call antiquity was gathered up and covered over; and in that place it was buried. It was the end of a very great thing called human history; the history that was merely human. The mythologies and the philosophies were buried there, the gods and heroes and the sages. In the great Roman phrase, they had lived. But as they could only live, so they could only die; and they were dead..."
"And if there be any sound that can produce silence, we may surely be silent about the end and the extremity; when a cry was driven out of that darkness in words dreadfully distinct and dreadfully unintelligible, which man shall never understand in all the eternity they have purchased for him; and for one annihilating instant an abyss that is not for our thoughts had opened even in the unity of the absolute; and God had been forsaken of God..."
"On the third day the friends of Christ coming at daybreak to the place found the grave empty and the stone rolled away. In varying ways they realized the new wonder; but even they hardly realized that the world had died in the night. What they were looking at was the first day of a new creation, with a new heaven and a new earth, and in a semblance of the gardener God walked again in the garden, in the cool not of the evening but the dawn."

Hi, all! I wanted to let you know that last night I had crafted a reply to the questions people had been asking me after that "TBN" article I posted in the previous blog. After saying prayer (several, actually), I put my fingers on the keyboard to copy the message into the post for the blog...
... and my PC froze. Turned into a little lump of lead. I had to manually power it off to reset it, meaning I lost all the stuff I had been typing. I'm taking that as a sign and keeping my counsel to myself for now.
This one got to me today- as it applies to us as well. I like the "Now get up & stand on your feet" part. Has God not revealed His glory to us all? Then we've seen him-spiritually.
Acts 26:18 "Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me."
Shalom, all. I'm writing to ask for everyone's prayers. I basically have two weeks before everything falls out of my life.
When they refiled my unemployment to take advantage of the extension, I lost at least $30/month. So, whereas before I was able to (just) make my rent, now I'm short. Food is covered by food stamps, so I'm good on that; my electric bill is covered for the next two months by a low income energy assistance program; so I'm not worried about those two items. But there is no money left for my prescriptions or other utilities, like the telephone.
I have enough insulin for a month but only another 11 days of needles. (I'm going to call my church tomorrow to see if they can spot me the $13 for a new box.) Right now my landlord is letting me work off the rent money I owe, which I hope I can do before Thursday. I've got $4 in my wallet (literally) and I've got to pay about a dollar a day for the bus.
Today, I just started a new prayer regimen. It's going to involve two hours each day of prayer and meditations for the next 9 days (think of it as a spiritual boot camp) which is hard for me because I've always been the 5 minutes here, and at the stoplight there kind of prayer person. Hopefully, by the end of the 9 days I'll have a better understanding of where G_D wants me to be and what He wants me to do. I've just finished the first hour; I'll check back in in another hour.
Does anyone know of a good book/info on the Azusa Street Revival? I've "heard" about it from Andrew Strom.
Today Pastor Ray mentioned this Revival & is calling for a three day prayer/fast @ the end of March.
He gave some background info & then mentioned that a "mist" would come into the meeting hall. Sometimes it would rise higher than others. (mist-the shekinah glory) Many miracles occurred along w/the gifts of the spirit.
Also- from a distance people would see flames along the side of the building & even above it. When the people came closer to investigate it wasn't seen.
(A major earthquake also happened @ this time.)
Apparently the people in the Azusa movement felt that the Lord would have a major outpouring of the Holy Spirit before the Rapture of the Church.
Pastor Ray was inviting the Lord to Maranatha & that if an outpouring does occur that he feels it could be handled in a biblical "orderly" fashion.
Anyway- he told the congregation to "google" this revival & find out more about it.
So at the end of the month those who want to will pray & fast 3 days for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
An eye-opening film of the Yoga Meditation, Eastern Mysticism, PsychologiaI Therapy, Self-Help, Mind Control and much more... Expores the eerie world of ego-maniacal gurus and their western counterpats, New Agers.
The definitive work. Explores its birth, its invasion, and its effect on western society. It explores the pagan roots of eastern mysticism, meditation, yoga, and more. An eye-opening expose of the New Age movement. Shows how it was conceived in the early 1960's at a planning session by Hindu gurus in India as a means of converting Americans to Eastern mysticism.
The seemingly innocuous devices used range from Yoga meditation to a belief in reincarnation.
We are given an extraordinary inside glimpse into cult mentality and mindless obedience, and we see how an outright attack against traditional American beliefs has been successfully launched, not only from Hindu missionaries, but from unsuspecting Americans who have accepted the surface manifestations of this religion as trendy and fun.
The film covers the chilling parallels between the belief structure in today's New Age subculture and that in Hitler's Third Reich two generations ago. 1 hour 43 minutes.'
With explosive facts, it explains why yoga, meditation, psychologiaI therapy and self-help are turning millions to a pagan worldview.
This film expores the eerie world of ego-maniacal gurus and their western counterpats, New Agers. In a series of exclusive, candid interviews, we share the thoughts of "master" and witness the blind devotion and mindless obedience of "disciple."
Gods of the New Age takes us from a clandestine, early sixties planning meeting held by Indian gurus to today's dignified U.S corridors, American schoolrooms and Christian churches. The film uncovers the chilling paralels between today's Western culture. and the similar climate that bred Hitler's Third Reich a generation ago!

LISA, go here and there is a book store with several books listed. I have a couple of them but they are loaned out at the present time. For that reason, I can't give you the titles but I purchased mine from them in 2006. Also, you might check out kcm.org and go to their books store.
Grany, I've just spent a few hours listening to Dr Frucht (he's here in Melb). I've never had so many aha moments in one evening. I just wish I could remember everything he said but I really must get a hold of his "Life of the Messiah".
He is actually a very funny guy as well. I was really blessed!
Our small group, which my husband leads, is going through Revelation right now. Hubby discovered my copy of the Footsteps book, and now refers to it weekly to create the studies. The phrase 'according to Fruchtenbaum....' is a mainstay now.
He keeps saying he'd like to send Fruchtenbaum an e-mail, as it feels like we're doing the study with him. :-)
jealous and green with envy are you referring to the Life of the Messiah from a Jewsih perspective? I believe I just purchased the mp3 set on cd. It is doubtful that the cd's will copy although what we have been doing is burning them to cd's to listen to in the car. I can send you the cd copies that we make after we are done with them if you like.
I have been listening to his series on the death and resurrection of Christ and have had several of those aha moments myself.
I highly recommend his teaching on sin and salvation as he covers eternal security in such a way that I find it doubtful that many could disagree
MAC, I have the DVD's and only wish I could get the CD's so I could listen to them as I work. Check at the web site because some of that material was on a big discount not too long ago.
You really do need it and also the Epistles. God has blessed Dr. Frucht so very much and I love his sense of humor. But the teaching goes right into my heart and it stays! Unlike some of the attempts at teaching/inspiring done in a lot of the media.
One other thing I love about him, he does not sensationalize the scriptures but line up line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. Lights get turned on and we shout "AHA" together.
I know that some day very soon, I will get to go to San Antonio with my daughter and while there I intend steadfastly to seek out Dr. Frucht's teaching in person. Oh yes!

Dear Jim C.--I am praying for you. Cling to the Lord and surrender to Him. This indeed is a trying time for you. I am sorry, my brother. But, when you are on the other side of these difficulties, you will see the lessons you learned and your faith will be stronger.
Lisa, you mentioned mists and fire manifestations. Can you tell me more of what kind of church you belong?
Jib, yes I did mean Life of the Messiah from a Jewish perspective. They had a couple of question and answer sessions where Dr Frucht was asked two questions about eternal security. That caused a bit of a nervous laugh in the small crowd but he put his answers out well. Nothing fazed him and his responses were methodical. No stuttering and no repetition – he most often quoted scripture without referring to the Bible. Very impressive teacher.
And Grany, I think I would go for the MP3 CD files so that I can transfer them to an iPod. Then again I wouldn’t mind the DVDs as well.
Jim C; Will join in praying for Jesus to give you understanding of the direction you should go. I am sure he will provide all our needs when we surrender to Him. God Bless Jim!
Lisa; A good presentation on eastern religion and new age. Imagine how far that has progressed since that was made. I think its influence was seen in the Todd Bently thing recently, at least some believe that the serpent influence was present there. Praise Jesus that He is also bringing many out of that as the harvest is coming in daily!!
"Maranatha Chapel" is a non-denominational Church. (You don't "join it" per se- just attend.)
The manifestations where in reference to the "Azusa" revival many years back.
I haven't seen any "mist" or "fire" around our place. Although if we had a real move of God I certainly wouldn't find it objectionable. (pretty awesome if you ask me!)
If you want to hear what Pastor Ray said- he mentions the revival @ the beginning of the sermon Grow Spiritually-May 7th
MAC, I found the 2nd set and yes, they are both DVD's. Get me your info so I can send them to you. I don't need 2 sets. All I can do just getting out of the first set. As far as I know, they are both the same. One set is Titled, The Life of the Messiah from a Jewish Perspective and was recorded live at Chafer Theological Seminary and the other one is titled Highlights of the Life of the Messiah from a Jewish Perspective based on A. T. Robertson's "A Harmony of the Gospels". One has 11 DVDs and the second one has 10.
actually Grany I didn't splurge on the dvd although I was sorely tempted. I just bought cd's which have mp3 files on them.
Mac I don't think I can email the files to you but I do think I can send a plethora of cd's in the mail which you can then reverse from cd format to mp3 and put on your ipod

Have you ever been rescued because God gave you foresight?
The wise look ahead to see what is coming, but fools deceive themselves. Proverbs 14:8 NLT
Victorious foresight
Wouldn't it be great to see into the future? To have the ability to bypass future mistakes? In a way, Christians have this ability. God has given us a precious gift—the gift of sight.
This "sight" is not like the false sight of fortune-tellers or magicians. It is the spiritual ability to see who is in the future, instead of merely what is in the future. So, we no longer blindly grope around in this life as those who are lost. Christ is our future and our hope.
Just as a successful marathon runner knows the location of the finish line before setting goals for the race, we identify Christ as our finish line. This great knowledge allows us to set daily goals for wise living. In the end each day of our lives may be lived victoriously if we remember our final outcome. The Christian's race is already won through Christ's victory on the cross. And when we cross the finish line of life, we will be in Christ's presence.
WISE WAYS The next time you feel fear or persecution regarding your faith, remember that Christ has already won the victory!
Lord, help me to look ahead to you so that I may live victoriously.
mine was Hosea 10:12 "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness on you."

Jib, Mike is doing good, thanks for asking. In fact he's painting in our daughter's room right now. (I put a little radio in there & tuned in "Pastor's Perspective" radio show.) Now I'm trying to keep the kids out of there so he can listen to it. They love to talk his ear off but he likes it.(At least he seems to.)
After listening to a Christian radio show here the other day via my computer (he mentioned he like it) he went to his Grandma's house for dinner & brought up some of what the show was talking about in regards to the woman's role in the Church. She rattled off a bunch of scriptures to him so I believe his Grandma is a Christian. He said that way back then it was the 1st book she was taught to read & she still remembers it well.
Mike is probably laughing his head off really. Wherever he goes to paint I just so happen to be trailing him w/the "good news" one way or another. Yesterday I was trying to tune in the Christian radio & couldn't get any reception so I left it on Michael Savage.
Today I dug out another portable radio & after moving it all over the place finally picked one up.
It's one of those things when you touch the radio the reception comes in. The minute you take your hand off it's all static. So FRUSTRATING.....
hmm, I always figured that Christ would come back 40 days after some passover. of course that is taking the verse as you see him go so will he come back quite literally-the only time the apostles would see him coming back would be with the rapture. random thoughts from my childhood with a little adult reflection thrown in
This is kind of cute. Today @ the a.m. "Spiritual Gifts" bible study we were going over the gift of prophecy. Then we broke down into our small groups & the gift of tongues came up. (Haven't got there in the study yet- it's the last one but it was briefly mentioned in the main talk.)
So I mention of course that I have that gift & then the gals got all excited & wanted to hear me pray in tongues. Just to see what it sounded like.
There is a lovely mature lady who oversees this small group so she spoke more about it & explained she's heard it & so forth.
At first I was a little reluctant but since I could see they REALLY wanted to know more about it I prayed for a few seconds.
Then they got so jazzed up about it I could hardly believe it.
It seemed to spark up an excitement to dig in & find what God has in store for each of them in regards to the gifts of the Spirit.
Anyway, that was really something. Quite a different reaction to the same topic that I've experienced from my small group p.m. study where the group leader's eye's got as wide as saucers & looked like she was going to faint when one of the gal's asked the same thing.
lISA, Does your radio have an external antennae like a small wire or a rod that you pull out and can position it? If it has a wire like antennae, try putting on a higher surface than you are or if that doesn't work try putting some foil around the thing. Of course, you might get the girls to keep holding the radio. hehehehe
Of course, one other thought just entered my mind. All of those tricks probably won't work with today's radios.
I think those passages are great and JIB, thank you for sharing.
Been gone all day and had an emergency with Jim's eyes this afternoon so it was a long day for me. I am going to go now to Mac's links to Dr. Frucht and soak for awhile. With all of that rain in the background I should be good and relaxed by bed time.
JIM G. Thank you so very much and I praise God for his guidance and protection. Something is very wrong with what Jim is going through. He has had horrible neck, shoulder and back pain for the past 3 almost 4 weeks and it has gotten a little better but tonight he is really miserable. Then today one of the veins in his left eye broke, causing his eye to flood with blood. Eye doctor said she thought it was due to the aspirin he has been taking to relieve the pain.
There are many things happening to him that have never been a problem before and I don't want to face the thought of anything serious being the cause. I refuse to let him go until he has been added to the Lamb's Book of Life.
So, again, my heartfelt thanks for your obedience to the Holy Spirit and your prayers. Grany

If any of you follow Sean Osbourne, has the Eschatology blog, he has a great take on our 2nd in command. You can find it at NEIN Blog. Can you imagine how long BOO would tolerate England coming here and delivering the same type of message to the USA? From what I have gathered over the net and TV, anyone in DC who is disagreeing with BOO HOO will get a very terrorizing visit from Rahm. Either by phone or frontal up close and very nasty type thing. Little Hitler or a well placed agent?
Do any of you realize that the Federal Communications Commission has very strict laws on threatening, cussing, or terrorizing use of the phone lines. The FCC has always had those lines drawn and the person making or using them can be charged with a federal crime.
Well, enough good news for the day and I have many things I have to do before I get lunch.
Jim C, Praying for you again. I am so sorry to hear this report of what is happening right now in your life. I emailed you, make sure to check your email.
you have no idea the depths of my envy! I keep looking at his Camp brochures at Ariel for the summer and may be we can go to it for one week. i would prefer the entire summer but that isn't likely to happen anytime soon.
I want to thank you all for your prayers for DJH. His pain in his neck, back and shoulders is so much better this morning and he had a real good nights rest and sleep. First one in a long time and without the use of Aleve or any aspirin. I know it is the prayers because everything else is the same as it was. His eye still looks like he had escaped a brawl but the swelling is gone this morning. Praise the Lord.
MAC, I am peee green with envy and drooling at the mouth over your description of Dr. Frucht's presentation. I can't help but keep asking, "Lord, how did you get so much knowledge and anointing into such a compact man as Dr. Frucht?". I too would love to attend the whole summer's worth of Camp Shoshanah and just soak up the atmosphere and teachings. One of the reasons I purchased my first set of DVD's from Ariel was so I could see and create an atmosphere of classroom attendance. That was way back in 2007. Then my grandkids found out that I really enjoyed that format and they blessed me with further sets of teaching. One reason I have two sets of the Life of the Messiah from a Jewish Perspective. I have passed on the second set to my Full Gospel pastor at the suggestion of a dear friend and he is really excited about them. Oh, yes, we can all learn something new when it comes from God.
Well, gotta let our Jim C. know that prayers are still going up, up and touching. Also Kameron's Momma.

Have any of you ever encountered a Pastor who has a lot of head knowledge but doesn't seem very spiritual?
For example. He brought up the fact that he almost was assigned to go to Haiti for 8 weeks in the reserve as a Chaplin.
I asked if he knew about a Revival going on in Haiti & he was so "ho hum" about the whole thing.
All he said was there is so much Voodoo there, blah, blah, blah. I just reminded him that with God ANYTHING is possible & even some of the voodoo priests were converting to Christianity.
That's not the only thing but the times I've spent around him makes me wonder if there is any fire left in his bones.
Jib, not sure who William Bateman is. Haven't had time to check out his site. He asked me to be his friend after a brief exchange at Lamb & Lion facebook.
Well- I see more evidence of the Sprit with the gals I meet @ the women's ministry events than talking w/this Pastor.
He just doesn't seem much different than a worldly person aside that he's well versed in the Word & History. I really have enjoyed some of the services he's taught but when I speak w/him on a one on one level it's just like talking w/card board.
I've heard of Pastors being in the pulpit for years & then come to find out later in their life they were never baptized in the Spirit all that time.
Lisa, Head knowledge can and most generally will lead to a wake up call by the Holy Spirit. Just the same as when we are drawn to the cross by the Holy Spirit before we become new creations in Christ Jesus. Keep on praying for him and the complete immersion of God's perfect will for him.
A lot of pastors are hesitant to become totally sold out to Abba but Lisa, you know and so do I that being baptized with the Holy Spirit is not a ticket to weirdness. If we need a good example of sold out service to Abba, we don't have to search any further than Jesus Christ, the epitome of wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. It is all about Christ anyway and your pastor is under the command of Him.
I haven't even read any news this morning and I have no idea what is going on in the world and it feels so good. I have several mountains to climb today so I will bid you all adeau and head to the tasks at hand. Jim is doing lots better and his eye is improving greatly too. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

The following is an actual question given on University of Iowa chemistry mid term. The answer was so "profound" that the Professor shared it with colleagues, which is why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.
Bonus Question:
Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant.
One student, however, wrote the following:
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today.
Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Ms. Teresa Banyan during my freshman year, "...that it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you." Taking into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then, #2 cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze.
that one always brings a smile to my face. how are things at this point?
the PCUSA stance toward Israel I find very concerning as we currently are members of a PCUSA church. however at this time we feel the church is more of a mission field and I would note that a number of members don't feel this way about Israel.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their spiritual support as well as their physical support (including the anonymous donor). I will thank you personally as soon as I get things squared away here so I can tell you just what your donation was used to pay.
Jib, Shalom! I've recv'd a number of lifelines -- thanks to all! I called the place I last interviewed at, and learned that I'm still in the running, so we'll see what happens.
When you say, "however at this time we feel the church is more of a mission field", do you mean your congregation in particular; or are you speaking of a general disconnect between the leadership and the members? No offense intended, but nowadays when I see "PCUSA", I don't think "Presbyterian Church USA", I think "Politically Correct USA." It seems to me that the the means and methods, faith and foundations, of the PCUSA are more tied to the ways of the world than to the Gospel of Jesus.
if I had any idea how to get you money I'd have sent you some.
as to the other-both. Our church is more conservative and less liberal than most and there are a number of people who get it if you will. I think a lot of them have a disconnect between their faith and their political views and don't realize that one should inform the other. I can't do much about the PCUSA but I can minister to those in the church I go to and keep them pointed to the right way. Our pastor is phenomenal-very sound, very scriptural and very biblical. Our church added 75 new members last year-more than all the other churches in our presbytery combined so God is doing a great work. We still though have many who's faith just does not inform their walk-they don't have an issue with gay marriage, some don't have a problem with abortion (that one just boggles the mind). God laid it on my heart that DH and I should be deacons and that in all my spare time I should write the deacon's corner section for our church news letter. if you want to read what I've written over the last few months I have posted all of them at my blog. The one which used Grany apparently really touched and moved many in the congregation and i catch the occasional reference to something I've written in one of the Pastor's messages. He feels we have a lot of spiritually immature Christians in our church and is preaching the whole counsel of God. We've done Romans and now we are on the book of John. I so wish we had these linked so your could hear him preach. I may have to become the webmaster :-)
Being in PCUSA church REALLLLLLY bothers me at times but if all the people who are sound leave-who will teach those who are left behind?

Hindering Evil Spirits
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. —1 John 4:1
One day I met a friend of mine in the street and I said, Fred, where are you going?
"I am going...Oh, I don't feel I ought to tell you, he said. It is a secret between God and me."
Now we have prayed together. We have had nights of communication. We have been living in the Spirit, I said. Surely there is no secret that could be hid from me by you.
"I'm going to a spiritualistic meeting," he said.
Don't you think that's dangerous? I asked.
"No, he said. They are having some special mediums from London." He meant to say they were having some people from London more filled with the devil than we had in Bradford. They were special devils.
"I am going, he said, with the clear knowledge that I am under the blood."
Tell me the results,I requested. He agreed.
Later he told me that the seance had begun, the lights went low, and everything was dismal.
The mediums had tried every possible thing they could for over an hour to get under control. Then the lights went up and they said, "We can do nothing tonight. Some here believe in the blood."
A million thanks, Lord, for the blood of Jesus. Cover me, my family, and all around me with the powerful blood of Jesus. Amen."
LM, Welcome to the group and I do too listen. But you do more than speak my friend, you do a lot of praying and I know that it is you and the Lord changing my direction.
A lot of soul searching but I still long for the full word of God to be preached from the pulpit and into our/my heart, mind and soul. But don't give up just yet, God is still on the Throne and the Holy Ghost is working, overtime sometimes.
I just found a great site to visit and it is about God's Generals in Christian History. GOD'S GENERALS has a list of all the ministers of the gospel and a short biography of each. It was really a blessing to read about Billy Sunday, Smith Wigglesworth, A. A. Allen, Charles Finney, etc.
So much good info on the net and I thank God for his great supply.
Lisa, Shalom! I have to admit, I'm bugged by that article you linked to "Catholic Priest Says Consulting a Medium Isn’t Automatically Sinful". Even though the priest may be right, I wish he had been more forceful in warning people against this sort of thing.
Mostly, though, I'm bugged at Preacher Frank's attitude, especially where he says, "If the reader wanted to know, all he/she had to do was ask the mother if she had accepted Jesus as her Savior and believed that He died on the cross for her sins and rose from the dead on the third day so we can have eternal life through Him and with Him. And it wouldn’t have cost her one cent." Well, suppose the mother had accepted Christ and died unexpectedly, and the question never got asked. Supposed it had been asked 3 days before the mother died and the answer was no, but the day the mother died she accepted Christ. Suppose in the millisecond before death she accepted Christ. In all three of those examples, according to Preacher Frank, the mother would have gone to heaven, yet the daughter would not know.
This really bugs me because one of the most powerful and active Catholic evangelists/apologists is a former Presbyterian minister named Scott Hahn. In his conversion story, he tells about being a new Presbyterian minister trying to comfort a new widow upon the death of her husband. She wanted very much to KNOW that since he was a good man, etc., that he would be in heaven, and as a good Calvinist all Scott could do was to tell her to have faith. Pastor Frank couldn't even tell her that, since if no one else knew about the husband being saved, he couldn't tell her he was.
I'm certainly not condoning the daughter's actions in consulting a medium. But grief is a powerful duress-or, and even those who teach and believe OSAS cannot know the ultimate fate of the people they love.
There's too many links regarding Israel today to list here. (UR welcome) lol But in general it appears that US is pulling farther away from Israel and closer to PA. Israel has stopped asking others for permission to act within their rights in controlling their country. Jews have lost even more rights to the Temple Mount and it's just prior to Passover. Sandstorms hit Israel and China... and the list goes on.
---------------------------------- From: becky@theagoragroup.org [mailto:becky@theagoragroup.org] Sent: Sunday, March 14, 2010 7:12 PM Subject: Agora Group Update March 2010
I stood in worship recently at Deep Ellum church in Dallas, enjoying the rich presence of God while the worship leader played string bass. It's a wonderful downtown church in the shadow of the city's political and economic "spires." As we exalted Christ together, I had flashbacks... It's hard to believe that just days prior I was worshipping outdoors to African drums with new converts in a remote Fon village of Benin... exalting our Christ among the fallen voodoo shrines.
The people of God are so diverse and precious, and everywhere our God is raising up a people for His name among the gods of culture. It's just that, by comparison, the gods of the West are so subtle... but no less powerful and worshipped....
They, too, will fall, just as surely as the voodoo shrines in the transformed Fon villages. The big question is, "Will they come down by human choice or Divine decree? By hearts rediscovering the Creator or by the Creator hanging the creation in the balance and finding it 'wanting'? "
Agora is committed to the transformation of cultures through first aligning the church and it's leaders to the Word and ways of God. It is our conviction that community transformation begins in the heart of the leader and the house of the Lord. Please pray with us for our partners in Colombia and Benin, and for wisdom with future open doors to unreached cultures and tribes.
Introduction of The Agora Board:
I am so excited and thankful to introduce our Board of Directors. They represent godliness and excellence in a variety of fields, have a passion for nations and generations, and have journeyed with Becky and I in life for many years (so they have a pretty good sense for what they have signed on for...).
Chris Beard (Jan), Cincinnati, Ohio, is the lead pastor at intentionally diverse First Christian Assembly. Raised in a missionary family, he has a passion for both the nations and racial reconciliation in our nation.
Robert Crosby (Pamela), Lakeland, Florida, has a passion for this emerging generation and serves at Southeastern University as a professor training emerging leaders. He pastored for many years in the Northeast.
Laurie Frey (Don), Cleveland, Ohio, works in professional entertainment as a general manager and producer. A non-profit board veteran, she is a cancer survivor whose story is told in the musical, "Unbeatable."
John Hodgson (Dinah), Wilkes-Barrie, Pennsylvania, is a physician and Chairman of the Cardiology Department for Geisinger Health System. He and his family regularly use their gifts to bless foreign fields.
Michael LoPresti (Linda), Cleveland, Ohio, is founding and lead pastor at Word of Grace church in Chesterland, Ohio, as well as a missions-minded teacher, mobilizer, and businessman.
Fred Suppes (Vivian), Cleveland, Ohio, works for EV3, a medical device manufacturer. He has a passion for seeing business as a tool to extend God's Kingdom and has served on multiple non-profit boards
Becky Young, Pompano Beach, Florida, is vice-president of The Agora Group. She has mentored young adults for over 30 years and co-planted NewSong Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Randy Young, Pompano Beach, Florida, is the founder and president of The Agora Group and has served as a church planter, missions mobilizer and emerging leader trainer in multiple nations and contexts.
Please pray for this board, a gift from God called to steward the calling and resources of ministry.
My wife and I recently attended the Focus on Marriage conference sponsored by Focus on the Family. It was excellent!
Francis Chan spoke. He read these two letters to illustrate one of the points he was making. Wow. The letters speak for themselves. I finally found them online.
Anne, while all news sites have their flaws (including mine) some like Debka are more reliable than others. I do not put much credibility in Ynet and very little in Haaretz. This article you posted in probably right on. If you do not remember the incident, Syria initially even denying Israel's claims of bombing the site. It was only after NKorea got their undies in a bundle over the fact that a few of their nuclear scientists were missing at the bombed site, did Syria fess up to the destruction. sissy whimps
Thanks A-lot Jim G. Reading those letters has washed off all of my mascara and foundation.
Waaaaaaa!
I'm going to send them off to D.H. now. He loves the movie "Chariots of Fire" but keeps bringing up how "wrong" it was for the minister to go on a mission trip- get killed- and leave his family fatherless.
D.H. perspective is that the man was being totally irresponsible by placing himself in such a position. (more of a selfish act in being obsessed w/ministry over taking care of his family.)
We are witnessing the dawning of a sci-fi food revolution. A new technology. A new food group. Amazingly, my research uncovered something nobody has ever revealed before in a column, newspaper article, or magazine expose. The next time you read "artificial flavor" on a food label, you should be aware that a component of that new genetically engineered food additive may be embryonic kidney cells from aborted human fetuses.
The new high-tech artificial flavors are not flavors at all. Instead, they contain chemicals which have been engineered to fool human taste buds. Future foods will need no salt, sugar, MSG, or artificial sweeteners. Instead, sensory perceptions will become warped by modern science. Brains will taste things that are not really there. Illusions. Deceptions. Memories of taste which are now artificially induced.
Lori, would that I could. I got the link from Spirit-Digest.com. The editor does her best to check out these sources before she posts them, mostly because she wants to make sure that there aren't any bots or worms that will infect anyone's PC.
The author runs "NotMilk.com", a webpage dedicated to educating the public about the dangers of drinking cow's milk. From my (admittedly quick) visit, I'm certain that regardless of whatever else you might say or think about this guy or his conclusions, he's not going to post anything that he can't back up with research. The fact that he's citing public sources and patent numbers means that he's giving what's needed to have a public debate on the subject, so he's certain of his stance.
Lori, through another link at Spirit-Daily.com, I found another article (dated April 10, 2008) published on NaturalNews.com that talks about the same thing:
Jim C. Here is the response from the company in question in the link you posted:
Dear Ms. Parris:
Thank you very much for contacting Senomyx. Your skepticism is justified - this is a malicious rumor. It would be illegal and immoral (not to mention totally incomprehensible) to do anything like this.
FYI, no Senomyx flavor ingredients are in any products sold in the U.S.
Sincerely, Gwen Rosenberg

Adnan Oktar and Rabbi Yehuda Glick From the Temple InstituteIn summary: More interesting discussion with my friend Adnan Oktar regarding a rebuilt Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. An ecumenical place where Christians, Muslims and Jews can all go to pray together to Allah. This time, the meeting was with Rabbi Yehuda Glick of the Temple Institute.
Wow, Lisa, that is very disturbing. I cannot imagine a rabbi, a real rabbi saying those things in Arabic and believing them. It is a horrible abomination.

Blessings,
Jen

how rough for Mike. perhaps this will be his wake up call.
DH has a friend who borders on militia type-he also has been cool about me sharing prophetic and Bibilical info also-pray for Tim as well. He is so in need.
I made the Off The Wall news?? Wow!
Lisa, I'm praying for Mike as well.
Lisa and Jib
Praying for Mike and Tim.
Thank you and have a blessed night, day and forever,
Grany
hyde, That does sound scary! Haven't experienced that one before. The sound of hail before it actually hits- hadn't even considered it before.
The weather events are sure getting super freaky }:
Looking forward to your friend posting Grany!
I hate Biden's fameous saying "Never let a crisis go to waste" but the Lord can turn a personal crisis into an everlasting opportunity.
ARE THERE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES
IN THE BIBLE VERSIONS?
Interesting to see how some scriptures are butchered. It's probably good to have some knowledge on this topic.
Lisa, I will pray for Mike. No doubt the Lord is using you. Be both bold in the Lord and sensitive to the Spirit.
Jen, I will pray for Tim tonight too.
When the barometric pressure drops, I start praying against dangerous storms. lol

Lori,
Where did the added links appear in relationship to your news links? I just received the last e-mail message from your post as well and don't see the added links for EU and US that you'r referring to.
I meant your list of 26 news items that are not hyperlinked in your message. Where is it in relationship to those items? Or did I misunderstand you?
Jim G,
it was
3.EU
9.US
and I did it exactly as before to see if this repeats
You've got to be kidding me! It did it again!
I went back to my Amaya publ. and checked the coding, there is nothing other than the link.
Well, Lisa, I just spent all morning studying about the different versions of the Bible and have many hours to go, I'm sure. One thing is for sure, when I read the different versions I will be checking against the KJV. Even my Greek Interlinear has me suspicious.
Lori,
Those items came into my inbox as just text (no hyperlinking). I wonder if it has something to do with your e-mail program? I'm using MS Outlook 2003.
Lori,
Maybe it has something to do with the IP address of the US and EU entitites that are "monitoring" you. LOL
Anne,
The little reading on it I did was quite surprising.
There is definitely something fishy going on.

Lori,
reading the news and what I found was: #3 US is included in original headline lead; #9 EU is the same thing. The original stories contained the initials in the headlines.
MAC,
When we have the right elements for a tornado to develop, hail is a common component.

Frucht's book) asked me to ask all of you if you have ever heard of Jakob Lorber and if so, what are your thoughts about him.
wrote a poem for Easter and posted on my blog if you are interested
Anne,
Try JACOB LORBER
here and somewhere in my literature there is another book addressing various writers and such of the 1800's. I have no idea about him other than what others have written.
Hope the article helps.

<><
Praise the Lord JIM! Not that your computer froze but that you are resisting the urge to purge!
Shalom (and I really mean that)
Grany
I'm going in, don't try to stop me...

Jim...
I'm praying.
Gods of the New AgeThe Best Video on the New Age Movement ever made.

What Does the Bible Say About Helping Your Brother?
Praying fervently for you, Jim. Please keep us in the loop.
Mac, it's neat that you got to hear Fruchtenbaum.
Praying with and for you, Jim.
Excellent article, Lisa. Jim's situation can be an opportunity for us all to experience God's amazing multi-tasking plan for blessing.
Mac
jealous and green with envy
are you referring to the Life of the Messiah from a Jewsih perspective? I believe I just purchased the mp3 set on cd. It is doubtful that the cd's will copy although what we have been doing is burning them to cd's to listen to in the car. I can send you the cd copies that we make after we are done with them if you like.
I have been listening to his series on the death and resurrection of Christ and have had several of those aha moments myself.
I highly recommend his teaching on sin and salvation as he covers eternal security in such a way that I find it doubtful that many could disagree
MAC,
I have the DVD's and only wish I could get the CD's so I could listen to them as I work.
Oh yes!
Grany
JIB,
How did you do the DVD's into CD's? If I could do that it would be great and then I could share with them.

Vicki
Jib, yes I did mean Life of the Messiah from a Jewish perspective. They had a couple of question and answer sessions where Dr Frucht was asked two questions about eternal security. That caused a bit of a nervous laugh in the small crowd but he put his answers out well. Nothing fazed him and his responses were methodical. No stuttering and no repetition – he most often quoted scripture without referring to the Bible. Very impressive teacher.
And Grany, I think I would go for the MP3 CD files so that I can transfer them to an iPod. Then again I wouldn’t mind the DVDs as well.
Jim C;
Will join in praying for Jesus to give you understanding of the direction you should go. I am sure he will provide all our needs when we surrender to Him. God Bless Jim!
Lisa;
A good presentation on eastern religion and new age. Imagine how far that has progressed since that was made. I think its influence was seen in the Todd Bently thing recently, at least some believe that the serpent influence was present there. Praise Jesus that He is also bringing many out of that as the harvest is coming in daily!!
Maranatha!
Vicki,
"Maranatha Chapel" is a non-denominational Church.
MAC,
I found the 2nd set and yes, they are both DVD's.
Grany
actually Grany I didn't splurge on the dvd although I was sorely tempted. I just bought cd's which have mp3 files on them.
Mac
I don't think I can email the files to you but I do think I can send a plethora of cd's in the mail which you can then reverse from cd format to mp3 and put on your ipod
Vicki,
Here is some information about our church.
About Maranatha Chapel
Maranatha Chapel is a non-denominational Christian church affiliated with Calvary Chapel. We welcome all who visit--believers, non-believers, those who are secure in their faith, and those who struggle with doubt. Church is more than a building with friendly people with lots of activities. It is a place where people come to meet God and find answers to life's questions.
We teach the Bible as God's Word and pray that all who come will be edified and built up in faith. Whether you visit our church or get to know us through this website, we pray that you will be touched by God's love and filled with His Spirit.
For more information, you can read about Pastor Ray Bentley, our history, statement of faith, vision, the philosophy behind Calvary Chapel, and of course, times and location of our services.

Pastor Ray mentioned that this Passover/Easter the actual Jewish/Gentile calendar dates line up exactly.
Normally they are off by a few days.
Is it prophetic or significant in any way- who knows? but it's interesting.
This is weird. I was looking @ stuff & then the "Berean Call" website pop up on my computer. I must have clicked it somehow but it wasn't intentional.
Anyway- happens to be a good article on "Avatar". The Avatar Gospel
hmm, I always figured that Christ would come back 40 days after some passover. of course that is taking the verse as you see him go so will he come back quite literally-the only time the apostles would see him coming back would be with the rapture. random thoughts from my childhood with a little adult reflection thrown in
This is kind of cute.
I guess you just never know- do you.
lISA,
Does your radio have an external antennae like a small wire or a rod that you pull out and can position it? If it has a wire like antennae, try putting on a higher surface than you are or if that doesn't work try putting some foil around the thing. Of course, you might get the girls to keep holding the radio. hehehehe
Of course, one other thought just entered my mind. All of those tricks probably won't work with today's radios.
Pooey!

Grany,
The Lord brought your Jim to my mind yesterday. Praying for him.
Grany
Grany, I'm keeping Jim in my prayers.
As for that "BirthVerse" thing, I dunno... mine sounds more like an unfinished fortune cookie:

I expect to scroll down the screen to find my lucky numbers and maybe how to say "duck soup" in Mandarin.

Also Kameron's Momma.

who is William Bateman?
Lisa,
Spirit speaks to spirit and you probably already know the answer to your last question.
Jib, not sure who William Bateman is. Haven't had time to check out his site. He asked me to be his friend after a brief exchange at Lamb & Lion facebook.
Grany,
Well- I see more evidence of the Sprit with the gals I meet @ the women's ministry events than talking w/this Pastor.
WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLE by David Wilkerson
Lisa,
Head knowledge can and most generally will lead to a wake up call by the Holy Spirit.
Shalom

Got this in an email a few years back, and was pleasantly surprised to rediscover it.
The student received the only "A" given.
Jim C
that one always brings a smile to my face. how are things at this point?
the PCUSA stance toward Israel I find very concerning as we currently are members of a PCUSA church. however at this time we feel the church is more of a mission field and I would note that a number of members don't feel this way about Israel.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their spiritual support as well as their physical support (including the anonymous donor). I will thank you personally as soon as I get things squared away here so I can tell you just what your donation was used to pay.
G_D bless you all!
Jim
<><
Jim
if I had any idea how to get you money I'd have sent you some.
as to the other-both.

Amen."

Subject: Agora Group Update March 2010

My wife and I recently attended the Focus on Marriage conference sponsored by Focus on the Family. It was excellent!
Francis Chan spoke. He read these two letters to illustrate one of the points he was making. Wow. The letters speak for themselves. I finally found them online.
A letter from Puritan preacher Christopher Love’s wife to her husband on the eve of his execution by the English government…Mary Love’s perspective is truly phenomenal. It is a testament to the mind-transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Love's Last Letter
The affections of a husband for his wife written down in a letter before he is executed.
Lori, do you find DEBKAfile to be reliable? I'm looking at this article and wondering if it's accurate:
North Korean yellowcake was bound for Syria when Israel struck plant
Thanks, Lori.
Soylent Green is People! And I Like It! Try some today...
Regardless of how you may feel about the base issue, this has GOT to raise your hackles and make you even more determined to grow your own food:
SENOMYX, SWEETER THAN SWEET; SALTIER THAN SALT; MORE SOUR THAN AN ABORTED FETUS

Jim C., Please tell me this is a joke.
So, yes, Soylent Green is people...

Lori, through another link at Spirit-Daily.com, I found another article (dated April 10, 2008) published on NaturalNews.com that talks about the same thing:
'Secretive' Chemicals Being Hidden in Food Under 'Artificial Flavors' Label
So, yeah, I think this is real.

Sincerely,
Gwen Rosenberg

Barack Obama and Israel

There's a distinct possibility that a new post is up.
