Hebrews 12:1-2

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross..."

Regarding Babylon...

I looked up the word on dictionary.com and found this interesting statement:

"The utter desolation of the city once called "The glory of kingdoms" (Isa.13:19) was foretold by the prophets (Isa.13:4-22; Jer. 25:12; 50:2, 3; Dan. 2:31-38). The Babylon mentioned in 1 Pet. 5:13 was not Rome, as some have thought, but the literal city of Babylon, which was inhabited by many Jews at the time Peter wrote. In Rev. 14:8; 16:19; 17:5; and 18:2, "Babylon" is supposed to mean Rome, not considered as pagan, but as the prolongation of the ancient power in the papal form. Rome, pagan and papal, is regarded as one power. "The literal Babylon was the beginner and supporter of tyranny and idolatry...This city and its whole empire were taken by the Persians under Cyrus; the Persians were subdued by the Macedonians, and the Macedonians by the Romans; so that Rome succeeded to the power of old Babylon. And it was her method to adopt the worship of the false deities she had conquered; so that by her own act she became the heiress and successor of all the Babylonian idolatry, and of all that was introduced into it by the immediate successors of Babylon, and consequently of all the idolatry of the earth." Rome, or "mystical Babylon," is "that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth" (17:18).

Not that the dictionary is our guide! But I especially think there is a lot of truth in what they say.

In Genesis 11::4, 6, 7, 9 it says, "Let us build ... a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven." "And the Lord said ... let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." "Therefore is the name of it called Babel ["confusion", margin]; because the Lord did there confound the language."

So what I get from these sources is that Babylon means a confusion -- a mixing of sacred and profane -- that constitutes Babylon.

God bless you as you study this important subject!

Psalm 2:2 "The Kings of the earth set themselves, and their rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and, against His annointed..."

Vicki-thanks-that was some good info.

This is from my book "Seduction of the Saints"-under Global-ism the Anti-Gospel.

Men's Dream of Dominion

"World government has been the dream and dominion of men throughout the ages to this present age. From the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11 to the trumpeting of the New World Order in our generation, mankind & it's various kingdoms and rulers have sought to govern the then-known world in power and glory. Inevitably, man's lust for power and glory seek to eclipse, escape, or even defy the power and glory of the Creator."

...."Civil govt. among mankind is to be conducted under the overarching fear of the God of the Bible and His governance. When humans forsake the fear of the Lord, God's ways of govt. and covenantal oversight & revelation are no longer available. (PS 25:14) Man thus devises his own ways, seeking inevitable to create a utopian wold order promising peace on earth."

(Speaking of the Ancient Roman Empire & the "revived Roman Empire" in the latter days-the 4th Beast of Daniel 7 and Rev 13...These ten kings or powers "shall make war with the Lamb.." Rev 17)

The battle lines for dominion were drawn. God had promised His "Prince of Peace"(Isa 9:6), and Satan, the dragon, would empower his counterfeit "prince" with a global govt. promising peace on earth. The final world govt. would be a composite of the previous world powers, blending the best man had to offer to blasphemously compete with the Christ of God.

The battle for dominion rages. The great dragon (Satan) is determined to dominate the planet to satisfy his personal vendetta against God.....He is convinced his spiritual cunning and clever seduction will draw the vast majority into his final global conspiracy against the Christ of God though the counterfeit Christ. That is why Jesus warned us in his final words before his crucifixion, "Take heed that no man deceive you".(Mat 24:4)

(Check out these words:) "The crisis in the Persian Gulf, as grave as it is, also offers a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times...a new world order can emerge; a new era-freer from the threat of terror, stronger in the pursuit of justice, and more secure in the quest for peace." (Sept 11,1990 George Walker Bush.)

Over 200 times, the senior President Bush declared this "new world order" during his administration. It was historic. It was as if the world had become pregnant and the president of its reigning superpower was deputized to announce the conception long-thought to be but the rantings of conspiracy theorists. The birth would come in the "fullness of time"...heaven's prophetic time and Satan's false-gospel hour to seduce the world.

It would be man's glorious gospel of self-salvation, of utopian peace and of global safety without the God of Creation and of biblical revelation. A substitute god would be prepared, designed democratically, without dogma or doctrine offensive to multicultural, religiously pluralistic world intent on global unity. The Scriptures had warned, "when they shall say, Peace & Safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman w/child; and they shall not escape." (I Thess 5:3). But such warnings, however dire, are deemed unworthy in the fase of such lofty ambitions as a global order of unprecendented peace and prosperity."

..."In less than a generation of 70yrs, the world has witnessed the rebirth of Israel, the "apple of God's eye," and the rebirth of "Rome," the Deceiver's counterfeit, merging with the spirit of Egypt, the spirit of Babylon and the spirit of Rome into one global enterprise destined to declare dominion over the souls of men. Babel of Babylon(Gen 11) is being rebuilt in men's hearts as "Mystery Babylon" (Rev 17:5), just as the Kingdom of God, through the "Israel of God" is being given life through the hearts of men as the "Mystery of God" (Rev 10:7).

The two kingdoms are coming into mortal & eternal conflict. Satan, as the "god of the world"(IICor 4:4), is drawing the peoples of this planet into godless oneness. In drafting the historic Treaty of Lisbon as the consitiution for the reviving Roman Empire, the European Union elite refused to even recognize God, having embraced the godless antipathy of the French Revolution. Rather, this expanding union chose to declare its rebellion against the Creator by adopting symbols to set itself blatantly against Christ's coming kingdom.

The 12 stars of the European Union flag set themselves against Christ's 12 diciples & the 12 tribes of Israel. The Tower of Babel, through a variety of European posters & other depictions, displays open contempt for oneness in Christ, boldly declaring man's intent to unify for his own salvation. The Eurpean Parliament in Strasburg is even architecturally designed to visually replicate, with a modern flair, the ancient Tower of Babel.

But the political rebuilding of "Rome" is not yet complete. The nations, observing the seeming phenomenal sucess of the European Union in such historically short order, are seeking to create similar regional unions througout the world, all for SECURITY & PROSPERITY. The goal is "global consciousness." The 1st transnational political entity in history, the "United States of Europe,"represents "The rise of a new ideal that could eclipse the U.S. as focus for the world's yearnings for well being and prosperity[shalom], declared Jeremy Rifkin in a profound editoral analysis. Rifkin noted, as an American, "Yet our country is largely unaware of and unprepared for the vast changes that are quickly transforming the Old World and giving birth to the new European Dream. His words should grip the heart of soul of every Christian believer worldwide.

The European Dream, with its emphasis on inclusivity, diversity, sustainable development, and interconnectedness is the WORLD'S FIRST ATTEMPT AT CREATING GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS.

...Oprah Winphry announced the Obama election as "a change in global consciousness.'

(Referring to Europe) "Utopian as it sounds," notes Rifkin, "remember that 200 yrs ago, America's Founders created a new dream for humanity that transformed the world. Today, a new generation of Europeans is creating a radical new dream." Romano Prodi, the President of the European Commission, ahs admitted that the EU's goal is to establish "a superpower on the European continent which stands to equal to the U.S." When Prodi was asked to explain what he meant, Rifkin notes, "he spose of the European vision as one of a new type of power...a new kind of superpower based on waging peace."

Lisa, Shalom. I think the only way that the US or NYC can be "Babylon" is if there's a sudden shift in laws to allow the buying and selling of men, i.e., slavery. (Rev. 18:11-13) That's one of the characteristics of "Babylon". It's the big reason why I think Mecca/Medina fit the bill of all the possibilities so far.

Interesting. I just did a search on Biblegateway.com to make sure I was remembering things right. The NAB version simply says, "...and slaves, that is, human beings." Other versions either say "...bodies and souls of men" or (as in Darby Translation) say "...and of bodies, and souls of men." In other words, the bodies were separate from their souls. I think that's one defining characteristic of slavery: the slave owner not only owns (controls) the slave's body, he/she controls the slave's soul. If the slave rejects the role of slave, the slave is in some measure still free; if the slave accepts the role of slave, as someone without their own will, then the person truly is a slave.

The New American Standard Bible (NASB) translates Rev. 18:13 as "...and human lives" and has links in it to three passages concerning the human lives. One is 1 Chronicles 5:21, where 100,000 men are listed as loot along with the camels, sheep, and donkeys. A second is Ezekiel 27:13 : Javan, Tubal and Meshech, they were your traders; with the lives of men and vessels of bronze they paid for your merchandise. The third is 1 Timothy 1:10, where the link is to "...kidnappers..." Think of that woman found 18 years after being kidnapped, and the two daughters she had by her rapist. The man truly did control the souls of the woman and the daughters -- they could not act of their own free will.

So unless slavery is legalized (or at the very least, tolerated) in NYC, I don't think NYC qualifies as Babylon.

And Jib, your comment about clearing your schedule reminded me of two things: the first was a cartoon in November a few years back that had all these turkeys standing around checking their PDAs, and one of them was saying, "Hey! My schedule is free after the 23rd, too!" And the second is of "The Great Disappointment", William Miller's failed rapture of 1844.

I wouldn't go clearing your schedule just yet...

ESV: "and slaves, that is, human souls. (Or and slaves, and human lives)"

I don't know where or what mystery Babylon is. But, trading in human lives doesn't have to be legal...just think of the containers on ships which are used to smuggle people for human trafficking. The merchants are mourning, whether the cargo is legal or not.

Also interesting, v11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore,

Since NO ONE buys their cargo, from gold to spices. Here's what my ESV study Bible says about that:

The list of cargo for which no market will remain after Babylon's fall resembles the goods transported by the Phoenician merchants of ancient Tyre, which arrogantly boasted of its beauty (Ezekiel 27).

I didn’t say I thought the U.S. was Babylon- Harold thought it may be.

I think "Mystery Babylon" is the system/world view of unity & world peace without the God of the Bible.

It's a worldview & what is being set up currently right before our eyes under the guise of globalism.
"Unity in Diversity".

It's the system which the Anti-Christ will ultimately have control over.

I'm coming to think that the Fall of Babylon the Great in Rev.18 is tied into the economic system of
this global "Mystery Babylon"
entity.Heaven exults over it's destruction in Rev 19 because it's the demise of the Anti-Christ's kingdom in opposition to Jesus Christ's kingdom. Maybe it has to do w/a literal city as well.

Heaven exults & a voice of a great multitude heard saying "Alleluia!..
It is the 1st place this word is used in the New Testament & is used several times in this chapter. Alleluia is used throughout the Old Testament.

This may have more significance than we realize & the reason for such worship & joy is that the entire Anti-Christ system is destroyed. His system is so "global" that one literal city/nation being destroyed
doesn't seem to do it justice unless it's such an astounding
place of control that it's destruction would topple the entire global Anti-Christ network.

Rev 18:21 "And in her was found the blood of the prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on earth." Rev 18:13...and bodies and souls of men."

The same Babylonian system
is the Anti-Christ system-the mark one must take to pledge allegiance to His global rule & to buy & sell goods. Those who refuse to conform into the "global consciousness" will be hunted down & slain.

The world mourns its demise because they put all of their energies into creating this man-centered utopia. They thought this was it- the dream to rule apart from the Biblical God. The dream to unite all religions for the good of man-apart from the real Christ.

They are so distraught by God's judgments & their crumbling empire that the next thing they do is make war with Christ Himself & His army.

It's only those who follow the Word of God without compromise & those who will refuse to continue to follow the unbiblical opinions of men that will not be deceived into this up and coming global ordeal.

It's those who have faith and hope in the Kingdom of God ruled by Jesus Christ that are repulsed by the apostasy in the Church as it will continue to morph into some sort of Ecumenical interfaith type religious system. And if the alien agenda gets thrown in the mix-then who knows what the end result of the false prophet quagmire will be.

Anyway-that's currently my 2 cents.

We just watched the movie "the Robe" w/Richard Burton. It hits home the kingdom of man/sin/Satan
in opposition to our hope in the soon to come Kingdom of Christ.

Re: Something bad happening in the next month.

I am convinced that something bad is going to happen in the next month or so. There are a lot of financial reports that are due at the

end of this month and the news is not going to be good. The White House has been doing a great job lying through its teeth about how the recession is over, etc. This is only the beginning of the financial woes. I think that something significant is going to happen on Sept. 19th or 20th (Rosh Hashanah). I am

convinced that something bad is going to happen in September because the stock market crashed (the Dow dropped 777 points) on Sept. 11th last year (exactly 7 years after 9/11). Last year was the first of 3 consecutive years (2008, 2009, 2010) with full solar eclipses falling on the first of AV. I think it is very prophetic that 9/11 was a warning and 7 years later when the warning was not heeded, the stock market crashed. I think the full solar eclipses on the first of Av, 3 years in a row signals something bad is going to happen 3 years in a row. In Jewish tradition, solar eclipses are bad for the gentile nations and blood red moons (lunar eclipses) signal something bad for Israel.

Harold-it will be good because he'll know the real reason why you're gone since you have already discussed it.

We're talking the wrath of God here. Billions of people are going to die- trees/vegetation will be burned up w/animals dying- waters turned to blood w/the animals dying. We'll be raptured & people can loot our "stuff" and be cursed w/an overload of pets.

I'm sorry to say but part of the curse on man's rebellion is witnessing everything man holds above God-destroyed. That includes animals. They were made for our enjoyment but people place them as an idol in their hearts.

Look at the billion of $$ spent on dogs/cats going to a "pet spa"-"pet clothes" & ridiculous things.

I am a major pet lover & have been all my life. I can also admit to having had my horse as my 1st love for years. Before that it was my cat & dog @ the time. Currently we have 2-horses,3 dogs, 2 cats, a bearded dragon & one beta fish.

Not to mention I have all the wild bird feeders full-humming,
general,finch and oriel feeders.

So it pains me to consider our pets left behind but you just have to trust in what God's priorites are and it's probably not going to be our beloved animals. Although He does know what each is doing @ every second of the day.

And to think your pet is raptured w/you is so absurd I don't have the words to express it.They do not have souls & flesh & blood cannot go into heaven.

I do believe however that if God wanted to bring them back @ anytime He could.

The Bible mentions that there will be animals on "the new earth" when Christ returns, but I don't think these animals will be anyone's pets.

I have had discussions with people about whether our pets will be in heaven. I say no because the Bible says that we will not even be married in heaven. Marriage is obviously the most important and closest relationship you will have with anyone or anything on this planet (apart from our relationship with Christ). If the marriage relationship doesn't exist in heaven, then I would have to believe that our relationship with our pets wouldn't either.

Subj: Abusing School Kids With Pro-Obama Propaganda

It's time to take a stand and tell this administration to get out of our public lives. Our Constitution is being subverted as we sit by and watch. The article below is by Michael Medved discussing the President's plan to address all public school kids, grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12 next Tuesday. This is eerily reminiscent of Germany in the early part of the 20th century. I believe he is trying to create the "Obama Youth."

I urge everyone with a student in a public school to keep your children home on September 8 and show the administration we will not stand for any more invasion into our public lives!

Respectfully submitted,

Craig Dickhens

Abusing School Kids With Pro-Obama Propaganda
by Michael Medved - Sept. 2, 2009

My wife Diane seldom gets upset about politics. But President Barack Obama’s recent demonstration of megalomania in insisting on beginning the school year by simultaneously addressing all public school kids in the United States elicited a concise response: “it’s sick.”

In addition to her Ph.D. in psychology, Diane holds an M.A. in Education, and both primary and secondary teaching credentials in California. She has raised and educated our three kids, each of whom received some combination of home schooling, parochial education, and public schools. What bothers her (and many courageous teachers across the country) is the crude attempt by the Department of Education and the White House to blur all distinctions between education and cult-of-personality propaganda.

On September 8th (the first day of classes for many school kids) the President will address them live about the importance of education. The President will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals and take responsibility for their learning, declares an announcement from Washington. The Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, sent a directive to teachers and administrators declaring: “This is the first time an American president has spoken directly to the nation’s school children about persisting and succeeding in school. We encourage you to use this historic moment to help your students get focused and begin the school year strong. I encourage you, your teachers, and students to join me in watching the President deliver this address on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.”

Late Night Lisa said...

cont....

To prepare for this great event, the Department of Education orders teachers in Grades 7 to 12 to ask their students: Why does President Obama want to speak with us today? How will he inspire us? How will he challenge us? After the great event, the department suggests that teachers of younger students (Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6) should instruct their students to write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. These should be collected and redistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals.

For those who consider this an appropriate use of classroom time at the very beginning of the school year, ask yourself the question: how would you respond had President Bush ordered teachers to get students to write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president?

Public opinion surveys show a precipitous decline in the presidents approval rating, with a majority of likely voters (according to Rasmussen) now disapproving of Barack Obama’s leadership. Imagine the reaction of one of these anti-Obama parents to a first grader who comes home proudly announcing that our whole class made promises about helping President Obama.

If the purpose in the Presidents speech involves inspiration of African-American youngsters who otherwise might feel discouraged by their prospects in school, why not allow the First Lady to give the address in place of her husband? Michelle Obama (like most Presidential wives) has functioned as a non-political, non-partisan national symbol and she actually grew up in an African-American home on the South Side of Chicago not raised, as her husband was, by a white mother Ph.D. in Indonesia, and by a white grandmother bank vice president in Hawaii.

And if the purpose is encouragement for educational excellence, rather than political promotion of the President and his agenda, why not give some additional time to Republican National Chairman Michael Steele, whose black single mother worked by cleaning homes and taking in laundry, not as an anthropological researcher?

A number of teachers have reacted with appropriate indignation to the misuse of public resources and precious school time to encourage the cult of Obama worship. Carole (not her real name), a gutsy middle school teacher in the Midwest, discussed the upcoming speech on my radio show on Monday. Teachers from four different states called in to say that they would follow her example and refuse to devote class hours to watching and discussing the presidential address.

Challenges from parents and taxpayers everywhere could force a change in White House plans. The idea of using government schools to force students to bond with the maximum leader might seem appropriate for Cuba or North Korea, but it’s clearly out of place in a Constitutional republic.

My own personal belief is that our pets will be in heaven. No, the Bible doesn't say that and they don't have souls. But I believe God can recreate our pets with their little personalities for our enjoyment in our eternal home.

I definitely think there are animals in heaven. Those who have had experiences of going to heaven & back recall seeing animals there. Not exactly pets but trees, rivers, the shining city & animals around.

The Lion & the Lamb does refer to a future time on earth I think.

And of course God can bring our pets back but when we are perfected in glory how much emphasis do you think we'll place on animals when we are able to love one another w/perfect love?

Life is so tedious now I think we have an unbalanced love for our pets not only because they are amazing creations but that they give us a type of unconditional love in return. Its almost as if some of us really crave and need that love. Other people don't really like animals so much other than at a distance. (I think that's sort of strange.)

We don't really understand what being made in God's image is & who we will become in the glory of Christ. With our sinful natures intact some of us don't act much different from animals really. But in perfect love I can imagine the distance between humans & animals will be so great that our emphasis and perspective on our need & desire for them will change.

Not that it’s negative but just different. We were created to take care of them & enjoy them & I for one would certainly not want to be without them. I am amazed & awed by God every time I contemplate their beauty & unique design not to mention how much variety there is!

This is just my personal perspective so take it for what that's worth. Perry Stone has a teaching CD called "Who Will Be in Heaven and Who Will Be Missing?" What about aborted babies, pets, and people who have never heard the gospel? #CD052

The scripture he mentions which relates to animals is:Eccl 3:18-21

"I said in my heart, "Concerning the condition of the sons of men. God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals." For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them; as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity.

All go to one place: all are from the dust and will return to the dust. Who know the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the the animal, which goes down to earth?

'SPIRIT OF ANGER' HOVERS OVER AMERICA AND BLANKETS IT LIKE A DARK CLOUD OR MIASMA

"Do not associate with a man given to anger," warns Proverbs 22:24.

"He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is quick-tempered exalts folly," says Proverbs 14:29.

"He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city," states Proverbs 16:32.

For as Galatians 5 warns: "Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."

Since I post anti-Obama items on occasion, I think it's only fair that I take a look at myself through Andrew Strom's latest email. I tried to find a way to post a link, unsuccessfully, so I have to post the email. Sorry for the length.

IS OBAMA REALLY the PROBLEM??

ARE WE BEING DISTRACTED From THE REAL FIGHT?
-by Andrew Strom.

Years ago a friend of mine, Robert Holmes, saw a vision of
Christians leaving the Harvest field to go and join in with a "Civil
War". They were leaving their primary mission (the gospel) to go
and make war against their own countrymen. What does it mean
and why would they do such a thing? -This was unclear.

Like a lot of you, every day I get bombarded with the latest emails
against Obama - and what he is up to. I can truly understand this.
Unlike a lot of overseas Christians who can't comprehend this kind
of American political partisanship, I truly get it. I lived in America
for four years, and one of the things I saw clearly while living there
is that America is at WAR with itself. And it is getting worse. Right
against left, liberal against conservative. And there is no doubt that
as an evangelical Christian, I am truly a "conservative" myself. But
there is a lot that troubles me about what is going on.

When the US conservatives elected Bush, a lot of the world could
not understand it. I understood it completely. America is at war
with itself and Bush seemed like the most robust campaigner
against the liberal agenda. It did not matter that he was not the
"smartest" guy. He was strongly on "our side" in the culture
war - and that is what mattered: Homosexuality, abortion, taxes,
health care, and so-on. To a lot of US Christians, politics has
become THE main arena where they fight and take a stand. So if
I am a conservative myself, why am I so troubled by a lot of this?

Well, let me ask you some questions and hopefully you will see why:

-Is "Politics" the arena that Christians are supposed to be putting
so much time and energy into fighting? Is that what the early
church did?
-Aren't we supposed to be more passionate about prayer and the
gospel than we are about pulling the "liberals" down?
-Couldn't this be a total distraction from our real mission?
-Doesn't a lot of it amount to a giant "smear" campaign of rumor-
mongering that should be beneath Christians to participate in? -In
other words, isn't the way we are speaking often gossipy, slanderous,
mocking and ungodly?
-Why are prayer and the gospel taking a backseat to Obama-baiting?
-Is the Christian community in any country supposed to become
a "voting bloc" for one particular party?

I think those are pretty important questions. And I think a lot of
Christians may have trouble answering them.

The fact is, I get more "political" anti-Obama emails from US
Christians every day than 'spiritual' emails. What does this say
about conservative Christians? It says they care more about politics
than the gospel. That is the conclusion I have to come to. And I
believe this is Idolatry - pure and simple. Politics has replaced the
pure milk of the word for a lot of Christians. They are on a "campaign"
alright, but it is not a campaign for Jesus. And they devote hours
and hours to it. They are feverishly checking out the "latest dirt" on
Obama every night and hungrily devouring Fox News (which makes
more and more ratings dollars as it drives every fresh controversy).
They love it! There is only one problem: It is not Jesus, it is not the
gospel, and a lot of it is simply not godly at all. In fact, it is
replacing Jesus and replacing the gospel.

to be cont.

Anne said...

cont.

If I was the Republican Party or Fox News or Talk Radio (each
hungry for more ratings and dollars - these are not Christian
organizations at all) then I would absolutely LOVE the fact that the
Christians are so easy to whip up into a frenzy of Obama-rumors
and Obama-trash-talk. But none of this is godly, is it? It is not
remotely Christian. The early church would have renounced it
utterly. They took no interest in politics. They only cared about
Jesus and His simple gospel. And that is still the only thing that
can save America today. We are being sidetracked.

But the frenzy continues. "Did you hear the one about Obama
being likened to Hitler?" 'Did you hear the one about Obama's
birth certificate?' 'Did you hear the one about Obama's "death
panels"? 'Did you hear that there are really demons in the Swine
Flu vaccine?' (canned laughter please).

A lot of this amounts to a kind-of Christian "smear" campaign. In
politics much of it would be considered in the 'dirty tricks' category -
the kind of thing you do when trying to ruin someone's reputation
with sick rumors and innuendo. No matter if it's true or not. As long
as it does the job of "smearing" the person. Is that the kind of thing
Jesus would want us involved in?

Here is the truly major thing that I believe the devil is trying to do
in America today:
-He is trying to create division so bitter and so extreme that both
sides literally start to fight one another with guns drawn. He is
trying to tear America apart.
-He is trying to sidetrack the one group that truly has the answer.
He is trying to wrap them up in fighting politics, so they will forget
that the pure GOSPEL is the only real hope for America today.

I believe the devil is truly succeeding in both of the above aims.

To conclude this article, I would like to ask some questions of
the Christians who spend so much time on this "Obama War":

-Do you spend as much time spreading the pure gospel as you
spend spreading stuff about Obama? Why not?
-Is your mind and your energy and your passion more focused on
getting the true gospel out - or defeating Obama and the liberals
in politics?
-If you were asked to turn off Fox News and delete the "Obama"
emails and turn off Talk Radio, etc, could you bear it? Or are
you more-or-less an "addict"?
-Do you really think it is right for this to be the big focus of your life?

I truly believe these are huge issues and huge problems in the
American church today. But I guess I can expect a wave of angry
disagreement in response!

Please send feedback to- prophetic@revivalschool.com

God bless you all.

Anne,

I think He has a good point on a segment of the Christian population. I wrote him back on that today actually. What I stressed to him was that it's important to understand Bible prophecy so we know what is going on around us. If we realize the hour then our reaction will be influence by looking forward to Christ's soon coming Kingdom rather than the up & coming New World Order & the rest of the signs that were prophesied to occur before His return.

The spirit of the Anti-Christ is so strong in America now that the Christians who will uphold God's word & will not compromise are probably getting panicked because they're looking to hold onto the America they had as children. They don't realize we were warned and these things MUST occur before Jesus will return. Not that we should sit back and do nothing but also not to the degree that some are driven to try and reverse the tide of "Change".

This change is actually good in the way it's waking people up out of their pervious comfort zone of materialism and day to day life. Now even the unbelievers who have held onto the Christian value system realize something is going on & there is a war at hand. They probably don't realize it's spiritual but they know lines are being drawn & they will have to choose which side to stand on.

Watchman-Declare What You See!

The Obama Health care bill under Class II (Paragraph 1, Section B) specifically includes
‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable.”

From Mark Mallett's blog, an entry on crossing the threshold of the Door of Hope, by traveling through the Valley of Trouble, the Valley of Achor.

From Hosea:

Therefore, I will hedge in her way with thorns and erect a wall against her, so that she cannot find her paths. If she runs after her lovers, she shall not overtake them; if she looks for them she shall not find them. Then she shall say, "I will go back to my first husband, for it was better with me then than now." So I will allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak to her heart. From there I will give her the vineyards she had, and the valley of Achor as a door of hope. (Hosea 2:8,9, 16, 17; NAB)

I've been feeling guilty the last couple of weeks. The last time I saw my ex-wife, she was getting ready to drive back home with my youngest daughter. We were chit-chatting on the way to the gas station (so I could fill up her car), I was telling her some stuff I was doing at church, and just before I got out of the car she made the comment that the Church would have to change or it would just keep losing members. I felt such a strong urge to tell her about the faithful remnant, but it was late and she had a long drive ahead of her, and I didn't want to delay her. Now, I don't know when another opportunity will come up.

Jim,
I think we've all been in that situation at some point and could kick ourselves for it after the fact. In college, I visited my grandparents nearly every weekend (they lived just outside of the college town) and I knew it was a great opportunity to talk to Grandpa about Jesus. I had 4 years but always danced around the edges of a real conversation about faith.
I graduated, married and eventually moved 6 hours away. Visits to my grandparents happened maybe twice a year, if the weather was good enough to make the trip.
Grandpa's health issues began to mount, but God gave him so many extra lives, 9 at least :-) The family was called in on several occasions and it was at those times I regretted my wavering faith the most.
But the Holy Spirit kept after me and 2 years ago I began to really submit to His will and that included a great release of that fear which had held me back for so long. I began writing letters to my grandparents and always included a pamphlet of some kind. Then when Grandma died, I really turned up my writing and faith sharing. When Grandpa died, I had no more regret as in the previous years. I knew I had shared as clearly and directly as I had words to express that Jesus loved him, was waiting to forgive him and had wonderful plans in store for him, even in the fading season of life.
I'm absolutely sure that God won't hold your hesitancy against you for future oppportunities and will provide more open doors for sharing if you request them.
Don't let the enemy get you thinking for a second that time is up. Until our last breath, we have time to share Jesus and until their last breath, unbelievers have time to receive Jesus!

Blessings,
Jen

Vicki,

Randy Alcorn, in his book Heaven, says he too thinks there will be pets in heaven.

On a related note, why do we equate heaven as someplace "up"? The Bible says that this earth will be destroyed and the Lord will make a new heaven and new earth that we will live in. Makes me think it will be here (or at least where Jerusalem currently is).

Don't we usually think of the dwelling place that Jesus says he went to prepare for us as being in heaven? Could it be a temporary place until there is a new heaven and a new earth?

I suppose heaven from the bride's perspective is wherever the bridegroom is. If He's in his Father's house right now, that's heaven. If he descends to live among us in a new heaven and a new earth, then that would be heaven I would think.

I'd be curious what others think.

How This Can Be The Finest Hour For the American Church

Late Night Lisa said...

Well, I just got the typical "denominational dance" from the Lutheran Pastor where Melanie goes to Pre-K.

You know- I am so sick of this cloistered mentality & it comes straight from the leaders. Look at this blog. We are all from different backgrounds & denominations yet we all somehow manage to communicate and love one another in Christ despite a few of the differences we have.

Since I'm around "Lutherans" @ this school I always come across a sense of hesitation when I speak to them about Christianity or spiritual matters. It's as if I'm "outside" the box. They know I'm a Christian yet I'm some mysterious form. I even get this feeling from my grandmother since she's a Presby.

UGGGG-

I wrote the Lutheran pastor to commend him for sticking to the whole consul of God on the homosexuality issue since he had sent out this terrific newsletter about the ELCA-Evangelical Lutheran Church in America-recent acceptance of homosexual clergy and his opposition to it. The title of his piece was "Our Bible is Not Made of Wax."

I wrote him an extremely brief view of end time issues- One World Govt, One World Religion, & Apostasy in the Church. I had asked him if he was interested in or studied bible prophecy & this was his reply:

"Thanks for your affirmation. While there are certainly differences among Christians especially with Revelation, the bottom line is that Jesus is going to come back. A fellow Lutheran once gave me a two word interpretation for Revelation that no Christian can argue with.

It means: "Jesus wins!"

That day is a coming! Soon we pray."

On another note:

Here is what that book looks like that I'm reading now: Seduction of the Saints

I recommended it to him but it's not "Lutheran" so he'll probably dismiss it. What could WE possibly know?

Late Night Lisa said...

The Bible refers to God's habitation as to being up & the souls/spirits of the saints as to going upwards while the unrightous at death go downwards. 2 Kings Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. (John 3:13)

The Bible speaks of 'coming up into heaven' (Rev 4:1) and of Christ being 'taken up from you into heaven' (Acts 1:11).-taken from this interesting article about the "direction" of heaven HEAVEN

Satan is up in the heavens and cast downward to earth.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? (Psalms 30:9)

I agree - the Bible says that after the 1000 yr reign of Christ that New Jesusalem "decending out of heaven from God,.." It's 2.25 million sqaure miles in size or 15 hundred miles high and 15 hundred miles wide as its "length, breadth, and height are equal". Rev 21:16 So New Jerusalem will eventually come down to the New Heavens & New Earth. (All things New!) but "heaven" will probably remain where it is although God will now tabernacle w/us in the New Jerusalem. I'm not sure if the "New Heavens" also incudes the actual heavens where God dwells or if it's just our general atmosphere/solar system type of heavens. (It may include the whole shabang.)

Lisa,

It's quite possible that, like the Catholics, his branch of Lutheranism has no fixed dogma on the End Times. Catholics have at least 4 accepted interpretations (not counting all the permutations possible thereof) of End Times, all proposed by St. Augustine centuries ago.

(In fact, there are only two possibilities that are explicitly rejected. The first is Millennialism, and the second is chihilism (I hope I'm spelling that right.) St. Augustine proposed his views as a rejection of this view. It was a teaching that the 1000-year reign would be a time where the saints could enjoy all the booze, sex, and other sinful activities that they had denied themselves during their time on earth. Actually, it sounds an awful lot like the Islamic view of heaven.)

In any case, if you ask him questions with this in mind (no fixed interpretation of end-times), you might get better, more solid answers from him.

Jim G. said...

I actually catch Brannon Howse's radio broadcast quite often on the way home from work each day.

I must say I agree with a ton of what he has to say but listening to him (and how passionate he is in his dislike of liberal foolishness) often makes me think of 1 Cor. 13.

1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

He rails against liberalism in both the world and the church. I too am bothered by that. But, I don't sense much (or any) graciousness, love, or mercy coming from Brannon.

I liked (and needed) what Anne posted from Andrew Strom's e-mail - ARE WE BEING DISTRACTED From THE REAL FIGHT? (see Anne's September 3, 2009 10:51 AM comment)

Might be the kind of balance needed when reading or listening to Brannon Howse. I've also been bothered by Brannon's harsh words towards James Dobson and the current President of Focus on the Family, Jim Daly. I've heard both sides and I think Brannon Howse has mischaracterized and unfairly attacked Jim Daly.

Hey all, just a quick note re: H1N1 aka swine flu. Some time in the last few days our local health dept and ER docs have been told to consider ALL influenza A cases "swine flu" without the prior recommended state confirmatory testing. For a little background, I have had a trickle of pts with Inf A positive testing since last "flu season" it never stopped the way it usually does, and all have been swine flu negative on confirmatory testing at the state level. If we are no longer going to do the confirmatory testing and just tell patients they are positive for the swine flu, then there are going to be literally millions of "swine flu" patients, who really may just have the regular seasonal Influenza A. Since, I am not aware of any rapid office test specific for H1N1 strain, I don't see how the docs can do anything but treat EVERY influenza A case as swine flu. Just wanted my cave friends to be aware when the numbers start jumping up next week what's up.

On a separate note, I still can't get a list of the inert ingredients in the swine flu vaccines coming out, state and county health officials can't tell me what's in it. ??!! This can be an allergy issue for some patients.

Scott, I can actually understand the decision to treat all cases of influenza as H1N1. In a recent study (wish I had kept the web page link) a group of animals that had been infected with Influenza A were then exposed to H1N1. Every test animal caught the H1N1 virus, showing how quickly and easily the virus spreads. H1N1 then proceeded to overwhelm the influenza A viruses in their systems (in all but three animals). In other words, the H1N1 virus eliminated the influenza A virus in the body, except in three animals where it appeared the animals retained both the influenza A and H1N1 viruses.

Given how quickly it spreads, the lack of rapid office test specific to H1N1, and the way H1N1 defeats any existing influenza virus in the host, this may be the prudent way to go -- provided that the initial "swine flu" counts are listed as "preliminary" and not final until the confirmatory testing is complete.

Also, they may not be telling you what inert ingredients are in the vaccine because they may not know. As Campsmore pointed out, per.c6 is the preferred "growth medium", but it's not the only one. Also, would an adjuvant be considered an "inert" ingredient? As I understand, the use of an adjuvant in the resulting vaccine is still under consideration.

I think there is truth to spiritual principalities having particular "territories". Perry Stone has brought this up in the past as well.

They appear to be worshipped in different ways depending upon where they are located.

Missionaries are particularly keen on this since they travel where needed. When you study Ancient History you can trace how the various deities worshipped had the same attributes throughout the ages but would just morph into another god.

Before I even knew what New Age was- I went to Sedona & was convinced to hike up to one of those vortexes. Now that was in my backslid days so spiritually speaking I was not "in tune" & didn't feel anything. I did feel a heavy presence when I went to New Orleans when I was pregnant w/Lorraine. I couldn't drink so that part of my brain wasn't under the influence.

I didn't even feel anything unusual when I went on the Jack the Ripper tour in London in the late hours of the night. My Husband had a business dinner so I just went on the tour by myself-he thought that was the funniest thing.

If I went the same locations today I bet I would be more sensitive to it.

When I went to that copy of the Pantheon in Nashville I got some really strange vibes as I walked around the gigantic statute of Athena.

There is that word "vibes" again. There may be some truth to this whole "vibrational frequency" thing & that is what causes us to sense something amiss.

I was speaking with my neighbor yesterday who is one of the heads of the local Christian Home school group & I was telling her about our public school district making all the kids watch Obama on TV.

She wasn't aware of that yet. (They don't have a TV in their house even.)

She then told me that a friend of hers home schooled her two children all the way up to High School & just placed them in the public system.

One of her kids was placed in a History? class or something of the sort & ended up w/supposedly the crème de la crème of teachers. He is supposed to be top notch & everyone wants to take his class.

It ends up that he began the school year out w/Obamaizing the students & has some sort of personalized stamp/seal he puts on their papers after he's reviewed them.

The logo is a picture of a sheep in a circle w/the words "lucifer" written underneath it.

Needless to say the mother is most likely going to pull her child out of that teacher's class.

What is the origin of demons/evil spirits?

1. All fallen angels?

2. something else?

3. a combination of the above?

Marge,

I had read a really good description/breakdown of what the hierarchy of the dark spiritual realm represents. As there is an order of hierarchy in God’s angelic army-there is also an order of hierarchy in Satan’s angelic army.

I think this is what it said.

The Fallen Angels are a different being than demons/evil spirits. The ones that bred w/man are currently punished & reserved in chains in a compartment in hell.

2 Peter 2:4 "For if God didn't spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;5) And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eight person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly, 6) And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly..."

Jude 1:6 "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness to the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

The offspring of the Fallen Angels-Nephilim & whatever else they bred w/animals possibly-have eternal spirits like humans. Genesis 6-speaks of the angels going "into" humans. As in the Days of Noah-by Chuck Missler

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants [nephilim] in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

When the Angelic offspring beings die-Nephilim they create demons/evil spirits. These are the ones who desire to reinhabit humans or attach themselves to humans. They previously had some type of material body so they desire to live in/influence the material realm in the same fashion-in a body. Jesus sent them out in Mark 5 into “Pigs”. They didn’t want to be cast out into space-(would they have to return to hell?) but wanted to be in the Swine.(animals) The swine farmers were running an illegal industry because it was forbidden meat @ the time & all of their profits went off the cliff.

The Real Worst-Case Scenario for Swine Flu 2.0

This article from Esquire really made me think. According to Obama's science-and-technology advisory council (aka, the geek panel), the Swine Flu pandemic will peak around Oct. 15 (IOW, less than 2 months from now), and can be expected to be 300% more fatal than the standard flu. Put another way, the panel says to brace for somewhere between 60,000 and 90,000 additional deaths (i.e., in addition to the deaths from the usual influenza virus) in the next 7 weeks. Given past trends, the great majority of those who will die will be children. And this is going to happen much, much sooner than later; too soon to have an effective vaccine available and in wide distribution.

For some reason, I keep thinking about a discussion we had here a few months back, about whether or not children would be raptured...

Lori,

I read a little further on- seem like it was origionally a source from "India".

How could the Muslims represent any type of Unity in Diversity? If you don't bow down to Allah they chop your head off.

The Buddists & Hindu's have many gods.

But from the Indian source we can go back to Matreya-which does make sense. He is one god to all people. The same god behind all the world's religions.

jim.carroll said...

Jen, I always preferred (and still preferred) the translation "From Many One". None of this emphasis on how different we are, just the statement that we have all come together. ("E pluribus unam", BTW, was first used in a classical Latin text to describe...

...

... a salad.

(Maybe that's why I like the e pluribus over unity phrases. To me, "salad" makes me think of all the different vegetables that are sharing the same bowl. The unity phrase conjures images of people being squished into molds, so that everyone and every thing is made of different things and all are the same.) (Sorry, too much Dr. Who...)

jim.carroll said...

Lisa, it wasn't just that swine (the other white meat) was treyf (not kosher). The meat had two functions: one was to feed the Romans and other goyim who lived in Israel at the time.

The other function was far more insidious. The anatomy of a pig is so close to a human's that for centuries doctors studied pigs rather than humans to learn anatomy. There is some evidence that the cultures that practiced human (adult) sacrifice (as opposed to the child sacrifices of Moloch and Ba'al) would perform all the rituals and ceremonies of a sacrifice with a human bound upon the altar, and at the last minute a pig would be substituted. (Some speculate this is the reason why pork is treyf: not because of the danger of illness from eating pork, but because pig was the preferred animal for sacrifice in the surrounding cultures.)

So the animals that were destroyed weren't just for food. They represented the sacrificial offerings to false gods. By putting the demons into the swine, Jesus was showing the end result of those who worship such idols: death.

my absolute favorite definition of the Divine Trinity is "Differentiation in Unity" The emphasis of this definition is on the complete unity of God, family or church.

"Unity in diversity" seems to emphasize the individual in a way that ignores morals and more reflects the idea of "live and let live".

This seems to be one of those ways Satan takes a Divine principle and twists it to be an attack against the Divine.

At least, that's the way I see it.

Heaven was never so silent this past year as the last two weeks..but it s almost like there s a hypnotic, deep sleep around us

last night, I dreamt that I was in a kind of super bowl stadium;
tens of thousands were preparing for a game. For some reason, I had to leave shortly - but when I returned to the row,
there was absolute silence - and everyone stared blank in front of them, totally in shock

First I didn t understand; than I realized, something supernatural must ve happened in the stadium, for every person to see. And it made crystal clear to everybody, that what God always has been saying, is awfully true
- it was some kind of judgement on all who had not ( wanted to ) believe..

However, some chairs between the vast crowd were empty - I knew that there were those, who have kept believing in Him, no matter what happened
- and I woke up.

Strange, that the Google logo here showed a ufo with beam - to the NWO it means tthe "fake rapture "..

Late Night Lisa, your reference to the biblical story of the swine running off the cliff reminded me of this comment I saw a few hours ago on another site. First they reference the related verses.

Mark 5:1-13
They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes. When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him, and he had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him anymore, even with a chain; because he had often been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. Constantly, night and day, he was screaming among the tombs and in the mountains, and gashing himself with stones.
Seeing Yahshua from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him; and shouting with a loud voice, he said, "What business do we have with each other, Yahshua, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!" For He had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!" And He was asking him, "What is your name?" And he said to Him, "My name is Legion; for we are many." And he began to implore Him earnestly not to send them out of the country. Now there was a large herd of swine feeding nearby on the mountain. The demons implored Him, saying, "Send us into the swine so that we may enter them." Yahshua gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.

Matthew 8:29
And they cried out, saying, “What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

The meaning: We are given a clue when the demons ask Yahshua, “Have you come here to torment us before the time?” Satan and all those in his kingdom of darkness have studied the word of God, and although many things are hidden from them, they also have discerned that which God has granted them permission to discern. Satan and his hosts understand that God does everything according to a pre-ordained plan and time schedule. They know that God has said He will judge Satan and those in league with him, and they know that Satan will be bound for a thousand years at the end of the sixth day of creation, or at the end of six thousand years from Adam. During the millennial reign of Christ on earth, Satan will be bound and cast into a pit.

The demons Christ encountered knew they were to be judged and placed in torment at the end of six thousand years from Adam, but here Christ was appearing before them and it had only been four thousand years from the time of Adam’s creation. They therefore asked Yahshua, “Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

What happened after this is also prophetic. The demons entreated Yahshua to send them out into a nearby herd of swine, and Yahshua permitted them. The entire herd then ran down the hill into the sea and perished, and we are told there were “about two thousand swine.”

The swine are a picture of the kingdom of God during the church age. We are not told the exact number of swine for a reason, but we know it's "about two thousand".. This is a prophecy of the length of the church age.

Learning the secondary or hidden meanings to scripture just fascinates me! I've come across so much and wish I had bookmarked it all : (

Interesting he said Anxiety/Worry is a classic example of what "double mindedness" is. You can't worry about life yet trust in the Lord for all things at the same time. It's actually a sin? Yep-that's what he said. It's the lack of faith & trust.

We wanted to go back this year for a Rosh Hashanah event, but it doesn't appear that they are doing anything this year from what I can tell. Re: HiN1 vaccine
Campmore, Yeah, I was aware of the recombinant DNA nature of the per. C6 component. It's used in the Novartis vaccine and Baxter's, other 3 manufacturer's aren't releasing info yet. I believe it it's made from true recombinant DNA manufacture, not cells from aborted fetuses. In this method, the geneticist takes DNA sythetetase and synthetic DNA (manmade) and literally synthesizes DNA to match the goal sequence and then inserts the manufactured DNA into a host cell to mass produce the desired protein. In the case of Novartis, I've studied the most, they use monkey liver cells as the live cells. My comments were related to the "inert ingredients" No one has info on what these are. Many are aware of the thimersol controversy, but ALL inert ingredients are important if you have an allergy to it.
Lisa, don't confuse the H1N1, aka Swine flu vaccine I was discussing with the seasonal Influenza A, B virus and vaccine. They are made totally differently. The traditional one is made from growing live virus, genuine Flu A or B from humans, collected in the orient at what are called sentinel stations operated by the CDC. The live virus is then taken from eggs and heat or gamma treated to kill it and process and given to us. The new Flumist we give to kids more is called a live attenuated virus, and can be described as a virus made wimpy. My comments were only relating to the swine flu vaccine.
As it stands now, I have and will give me and my family the traditional seasonal flu vaccine, but not the swine flu vaccine, regardless of the consequences. Keep in mind the swine flu itself is so far very wimpy as an infection with a death rate way below the seasonal flu rate. It is showing a propensity to attack 5-35 yr olds more than the seasonal flu does, and I believe this is part of the media hype. No one cared when most of the deaths were in 65-90 yr olds.
BTW, Anne, cool find on the rapture site. I always put more salt in the individual dreams and visions more than the gemantics(sp?) Maybe because I don't understand bible numbers code at all.

In His Grip,
Scott.

If you go the free route, your site is put into a section (pub48, in this case) with all the other boards with the same theme. The "usernum" parameter is used to identify your particular board.

As far as logging into that message board to leave a message, I don't know. I don't see any place where you can sign up for an account on the board (unless you have to sign up for an account with Bravenet.com), yet you can't leave a message without giving a password. So I guess you have to know someone who knows someone to get on that board.

What do you all think? Are the 1st 5 seals in Rev 6 the wrath of man or the judgment of God? or? It's not the "wrath" of God-yet.

It's Jesus the Lamb who opens the seals which gives the go ahead for the specific events to occur.

He opens the 1st- The Conqueror or Anti-Christ goes out. The 2nd- peace is taken from the earth & people go out & kill each other w/a "great" sword. 3rd- Famine & major inflation. 4th-major death by sword, famine, disease, animals, so that 1/4 of the earth's population die. 5th- John sees all those who are slain for their testimony but they have to wait a while longer until more saints are killed because God has a particular number in mind.

This does appear to be all "man created" events. Does the breaking the seal mean the breaking of the individually assigned restraining force in 1-4? In seal #5 John sees the saints in heaven complaining what's taking so long for God to judge and avenge their blood.

So does this hint that the seals 1-4 are not considered an act of judgment? We have had the wrath of men which have resulted in saints dying continually throughout the ages. Still do. But-we are not told that it's due to Jesus up in heaven breaking seals.

These events are told they happen specifically because Jesus is breaking seals. Approx. 1 billion people will not survive the 1st four.

In seal #6- Cosmic events go nuts so that "Everyone" runs for cover & hides. The people acknowledge that this is the wrath of God & Jesus. It doesn't say here how many people have died from this cosmic event though. Sackcloth Sun/Blood Red Moon-simultaneously right?

Solar Eclipse Wow's Asia At the end of the video you can see a 6-pointed star shape in the light. Star of David?

Apparently similar words were spoken shortly before September 11. God warns His children and prepares them for what is to come. Thank you Lord.

Lord help us to hear and then heed your words in these important times.

Has anyone wondered if:

1. the upcoming Muslim prayer gathering in Washington, DC
2. Osabma bin Laden's recent messages that he has a gift coming for Muslims (or something to that effect) and
3. Prophetic warnings (such as those in the Times Square Church sermons and from many others in the Body of Christ) about very difficult times coming to the United States (perhaps in Sept)

might all be connected?

How easy would it be for a significantly sized group of terrorists to work their way very close to many Capitol builiding sites in DC in the midst of a "prayer" gathering?

I hope not but I sure have wondered if that is not a very real possibility with such a gathering?

From the Desk of Dr. Laura Thompson

We have 100's of patients who don't get the flu and they don't receive the flu shots. Some of them haven't had a flu for 10, 20, 30 years. How, you might ask, is that possible? The key: a strong, formidable immune system.

Why keep your immune system strong?

You'll be able to withstand a flu outbreak - in other words, you won't get the flu.
If you get the flu, you'll get over it more quickly.
You'll protect yourself from vaccine damage if you decide to get a flu shot.

How do you keep your immune system strong? We create specific immune-strengthening programs for those who desire them. The following suggestions, however, can apply to most anyone.

Increase vitamin D intake, especially in the fall and winter. Recent studies have indicated its potent anti-viral effects and protection from the flu.
Utilize specific anti-viral and immune strengthening botanical products, such as Core Olive Leaf Extract or Quantum Immune Complex.
Take an immune multiple such as IM Encap, with thymus and spleen support along with antioxidant and anti-viral vitamins and botanicals.
Utilize FluMax Pro spray daily - great for children and adults.

We'll have much more on this topic in upcoming issues. Remember, you can have a strong, formidable immune system if you feed it right. And when you do, you don't fear the flu or an epidemic. In fact, you listen to the media blitz and you shake your head, as if to say, "what are they making such a big deal about?"

Swine Flu Update: Shot or Not 2009

Q: Concerning Swine Flu, how much of what we see on television and read in the newspapers should we believe?

A: Very little.

Q: Why?

A: To begin with, people get sick all over the world. All the time. It happens. We call some of that the flu. We call it lung or respiratory infections. A few billion people get sick every year. It's not unusual.

Q: But now they're calling it Swine Flu?

A: They're calling a tiny proportion of that global illness Swine Flu.

Q: Don't they have a test to confirm Swine Flu?

A: Yes, but there is a problem with the test. Originally, when somebody thought a few people coming into hospitals had a new disease, they used a test called PCR.

Q: What's PCR?

A: It's a very clever procedure designed to enable researchers to "see" tiny, tiny fragments of genetic material. With PCR, they can "blow up" or amplify these fragments until they are visible.

Q: And that's what they did with the original people who were sick?

A: Yes.

Q: So what was the problem?

A: They found little fragments of pig virus and bird virus and human virus, and then they made a leap of faith, you could say. They decided that these fragments were all connected, were all pieces of One Whole Virus.

Q: And that was questionable?

A: Yes. There's no reason to believe they discovered a new whole virus.

Q: So maybe there isn't a new virus called Swine Flu.

A: That's right. You see, we all carry around little isolated genetic pieces of various germs. All the time. It's not a problem.

Late Night Lisa said...

Q: So why are these people getting sick? Why are a few of them dying?

A: Different reasons. The basic reason is, their immune systems aren't strong enough.

Q: Then the best strategy is finding ways to maintain strong immune systems.

A: Yes.

Q: This is rather mind-boggling.

A: That's true. It is.

Q: They're developing a vaccine for Swine Flu. What about that?

A: Every intelligent human being should insist on knowing exactly what's in the vaccine. Aside from substances like aluminum and mercury and polysorbate 80 and formaldehyde, all of which have been used in other vaccines and are toxic---what germs will they put into the vaccine?

Q: Germs?

A: Yes. Every vaccine is seeded with germs or parts of germs. The theory is, that germ will stimulate the immune system and make it stronger, in the future, if the "real illness" comes along.

Q: But you said there is no true evidence that researchers ever found a new Swine Flu germ in the first place.

A: Yes. So it will be very interesting to find out exactly what germ material they're putting in the Swine Flu vaccine.

Q: You're making it sound like the research behind Swine Flu is a shambles.

A: Correct. I am.

Q: Wasn't there a Swine Flu hoax back in the 1970s?

A: Yes. In 1976, a soldier at Fort Dix died, and four other soldiers there were hospitalized. Doctors claimed the cause was Swine Flu. On that basis, President Gerald Ford was persuaded to launch a nationwide vaccination campaign. As a result of the vaccine, 25 people died from severe reactions to it and several hundred more people experienced very severe illness. The vaccine program was shut down. In 1976, just as in the present situation, there was a very aggressive publicity campaign about the dangers of Swine Flu, and everyone was urged to take the vaccine.

Q: But now, medical authorities claim there are many, many cases of Swine Flu all over the world, and some people have died.

A: As of July 2009, there have been 94,512 cases of "Swine Flu" reported worldwide, and 429 deaths. But by what standard of proof can authorities claim this illness and death is the result of a new virus called Swine Flu? Again, millions of people become ill all the time. These statistics do not prove something called Swine Flu was the cause, and they don't prove some new virus was the cause.

Q: It could be traditional flu.

A: At the root, this kind of illness is based on immune-system deficiency or other factors, such as exposure to environmental toxins.
Q: Why are all these people wearing masks in the streets, and why were schools closed down? Why all the hysteria?

A: Because people accept speculation as fact. People are easily driven into a state of fear. Let's say that, roughly, 60 million people die around the world, annually, from all possible causes. Now, is that alarming anyone? Are people taking extra precautions? Are schools and businesses closing down every day? But if scientists suddenly say, based on speculation and no true evidence, that a new disease is SPREADING, and if the press hammers on that day and night, people are going to take notice. They're going to act on the basis of fear.

Q: If a person has, in the past, taken a vaccine and has had a severe reaction or developed an illness, is it possible to detoxify the effects of the vaccine?

A: At SCICN, we have programs that deal with vaccine detox. And of course, we customize programs for each patient to strengthen their immune system. This is the key especially if you decide to get flu vaccine. There is a protocol that can be used beforehand.

Q: Can parents get exemptions from vaccines, for their children?

A: First of all, parents need to make their own informed decision about whether to have their children vaccinated. In the US, each state has its own laws. There are three basic types of exemptions: medical, religious, and philosophical. Parents have to find out how these exemptions can be obtained.

Wow, Jim G. I hadn't thought of that! That's VERY interesting. I can easily imagine all kinds of scenarios that would allow a takeover under those circumstances.

I was just reading Mark Biltz' last newsletter from August and he thinks something ominous will occur after this RH like it did last year with the stock market.

Hi Jim, yes I was formally known as, and still considered by my wife and daughter to be, Grumpy.

And yes, the Grumpy from Rosenberg's site : )

O My G-o-s-h.

Allright, this was probably a made up name but I just got an inquiry from the GMO(Global Media Outreach) Ministry from a
".....Bin Laden". He was asking about how God who is lone could have a son-Issa. He didn't commit to Christ but was investigating more.

So if you think about it-Pray for this mystery Muslim. I think it said "Saudi Arabia" for the location. I'll have to re-check.

OK- Jim G.

So if the U.S. is Tyre in our current day Ezekiel 28-28 then my notes written in 28 about the King of Tyre= The Anti-Christ. Would this imply he will be the King of the U.S.?

" Because your heart is lifted up, And you say, 'I am god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,' Yet you are a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a god."

(Kind of sounds like Obama to me- ooops- I'm not going there - LOL.)

Jim G. said...

Lisa,

I don't have any strong opinion on why the US does not appear to be mentioned in the Bible. I think the reference to Tyre in Ezekiel 28 is a reference to Tyre.

Now, I think the point the Rabbi was making (in the link I posted) was that a country that turns its back on Israel may go the way of Tyre. Once strong and rich and powerful, Tyre is no more. It may be a shadow of the US. I don't know.

I think it is also possible that the US is in Scripture and the Lord has simply closed our eyes to how and where it figures in.

Lisa, Shalom! One of the chief tenets of Islam is that Allah is one, he neither has children nor takes a wife. It's a key component of the Islamic view of sexuality that the idea of G_D simply willing His Son into being is very difficult to believe. (I.e., the only way for G_D to have a child is for Him to take a wife and have sex with her, much as Zeus did. It's a pagan concept.) In a sense, it's hard for them to believe that because it is counter to "the laws of nature", i.e., a miracle; and Islam does not have the same view of "miracles" as Christians do.

In the Christian view, G_D created the Heavens and the Earth. He established the rules of nature and set things in motion. When you drop a ball on the ground, it falls in the way it does because the rules G_D set up (laws of gravity) dictate that it does. A miracle is when, for whatever reason, G_D suspends these laws. In Islam, Allah not only created everything, he CONTROLS everything AT ALL TIMES. That ball falls not because of some "law", it falls because Allah is actively causing it to fall in the way it does. Allah does this with each and every thing in the universe. So a miracle isn't an exception to the rules; it's simply that Allah has deemed that things will go THIS way instead of THAT way as he normally commands.

It's also the idea that the woman might be a active part of this act of creation (the Incarnation), rather than being simply a willing OR unwilling receptacle, that some may find impossible to believe, even repulsive.

To witness to him, you'll have to make clear that the idea of G_D taking a wife as humans do is a pagan belief; that G_D chose Mary to bring His Son into this world AND that when asked, Mary accepted; and that having a Son who was both true G_D and true man was essential for G_D's plan of salvation for us.

If your questioner starts asking about the Trinity, make sure he knows that G_D the Father, G_D the Son, and G_D the Holy Spirit are NOT three aspects of the same god. That, again, is a pagan concept. Rather, they are three separate Persons in one God -- something we cannot understand as humans.
