A first for me!
Thank you for taking the time to post such wonderful verses and for keeping this going, Mr Hyde!
It is all very much appreciated!
Thanks for saying so, Donna :-)
Wanted to share this with y'all:

lol Donna
congrats!
Lisa
how awful.
Mr Hyde
strong work
as an update
the gentleman in the bad car accident was taken off of life support a couple of days ago. One of the staff who used to work here has gotten his office staff and I guess family up in arms over my "inappropriate posts on facebook". hmm, made one post requesting prayer and then had private email conversations with a group of people of which she was part. I hope her lies come back to bit her in the tushie. continue to pray for the family.
Mac
I try to stay out of the facebook groups and in general friend only those people I actually want to talk to. I have friended a couple of people apparently in error but that was rectified by unfriending them.
I do appreciate this group so much. thanks for keeping this place going even though none of us are here much. of course it doesn't appear that you all are on FB much either :-)
Are we weary with well doing, overly busy, or just getting the sense that something big is about to break? I think mine is more the first two rather than the last one.
Funny you should post that link, Jim. I was looking at a book on Spiritual Warfare at Barnes & Noble. Does anyone here know of a solid biblical book that discusses this topic?
Continuing to pray, Jib. I do think something "big" is imminent. This thing with Israel & Iran cannot last indefinitely without something snapping.
BTW, I'm seeing more and more evangelical "scholastic" ostracism of Israel in some of the stuff I've been researching. ALL of the books that claim to critique premil and/or dispensationalism end up attacking Israel. I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading form self-described Christians.
Hyde,
Neil Anderson's books are very good - Victory over the Darkness is one we've used a lot.
Also, books by Dr. Timothy Warner.
-Homeward Bound
HB, great to have you here and thanks for the suggestion.
I've just been listening to Janet Parshal on Moody Radio and they're talking about spiritual warfare! She's currently interviewing Karl Payne who wrote "Spiritual Warfare: Christians, Demonization and Deliverance. Coincidence?

Maybe God is telling me something?
Now that I have my glasses fixed so I can see again, I want to apologize for the delete. I was trying to do something else, got disgusted because I couldn't see even with a magnifying glass and deleted my comment in the process. I asked DJH to help me but instead he started clicking on the prompts.
So, maybe Yahweh was trying to tell me something in the process. It has really been hard lately coming to grips with major failing eyesight but this too shall pass.
I now have my comment section enlarged so I can at least see the punctuation. Any improvement is welcome.
Hydeho, a minister by the name of Rick Renner has written "DRESSED TO KILL" with a subtitle "A Biblical Approach to Spiritual Warfare and Armor". Rick has been a minister/pastor and Christian leader in the former USSR. At the time he published this book, he was the pastor the fast growing Moscow Good News Church, located in the very heart of Moscow, Russia. In 2007 the Kiev Good News Church was launched in the capital city of Ukraine.
He has an exceptional grasp and knowledge of Hebrew, Greek and Latin. His book is published by TEACH ALL NATIONS.
When I began my journey with the Lord, I was terrified that someone would ask me to lead in prayer. I didn't have a clue how to pray an audible prayer of any kind. A friend gave me my first Renner book and I can never thank her enough. It isn't an easy read by any means but it is worthwhile just the same. Kinda like the diamond that you find in the coal field.
I do feel that we are headed towards something very soon and totally unexpected. But I don't have a dread of it in the least. I have come to believe that during that time, Jesus Christ words will be fulfilled that he spoke when he "the things that you see me do, you will do and more besides". The world has never experienced that promise in all of these years since they were spoken. I also don't believe for one instant that the Body of Christ will leave this world in defeat but we will glorify Jesus Christ in a magnificent manner.
Shalom all
Mr. Hyde, Here's a link you might be interested in:
Spirit World Daily
"Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance" section of the bookstore. Spirit World Daily is one of the news aggregators I use. The bookstore sells both "Catholic-specific" and "General Christian" books on a variety of subjects; here you'll find works by Perry Stone, John Eckhardt, and Derek Prince (a somewhat controversial choice, I understand) as well as books by Fr. Joseph M. Esper ("Spiritual Dangers of the 21st Century" -- I've heard very good things about this book), Neal Lozano, and Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the official/chief exorcist of Rome.
<><
The one I really like is called "Know Thine Enemy" (A Guide To Intelligent Deception) by C.A. Huft.
I just bought another one @ the Christian bookstore which looked pretty good but I haven't read it yet. "Devil, Demons, & Spiritual Warfare" (Power to engage and defeat demonic forces)by Tom Brown. This one is a quick read while Huft goes into more detail.
Brown is up to date on what Christians are doing in regards to Spiritual warfare which some is just ridiculous. Like ~ actually going up in a "helicopter" commanding the territorial spirits to leave the area. He warns against the shams and that's good too.
A Question To Post Tribbers! Why are you so angry? Hostility?
I've also noticed a real uptick this year against Dispensationalism, Pre-Trib, Israel in the "grafted back in" prophecy & "dry bones". Also pro-Saturday worship & against traditional Christian Christmas/Easter celebrations.
Lisa, the pro-Saturday worship may be on the rise because I see pro-Torah ministries (e.g. Mark Biltz?) making a lot of headway with Christians.
Lisa, it's not just open hostility it's also the elitist condescension. I saw a recent example of that on Christ in Prophecy with someone brandishing his academic credentials against pretrib...just when I said I don't spend much time there.
a couple of points about Saturday worship from Dr Frucht
1-under the Mosaic law, Saturday worship was mandatory for JEws and those gentiles who converted to experience the blessings on God's covenant with the Jews. When Christ fulfilled the Mosaic law the Sabbath commandment went away. If you notice that is the one difference between the law of Moses and the law of Christ.
as an aside the 10 commandments is a small fraction of the Mosaic law
2-there was no designated day of worship prior to the Mosaic law.
3-yes the sabbath is still on Saturday, never changed but see number #1
4-Paul says somewhere in the new testament that in Christ there are no days which are more holy than the others. Frucht's point would be that there is no command in Scripture for Christians to worship on any particular day of the week-we could worship on Monday if we wanted to and that would be just as good as Sat, Sun or any other day.
Interesting, Jib.
Growing up we were taught by the religious leaders that if we missed church on Sunday and died on Monday (before going to confession) we would go to hell.
I wonder where they got that from.
Donna
not a clue. legalism and tradition most likely. also replacement theology might come into play here. Frucht makes the point in this teaching we are listening to that dispensationalists have a pretty good theology on Israel past and future but not necessarily so good on Israel present. We just finished listing to the section on Saturday worship within the last week or two also so it is pretty fresh in my mind
I know Mark Biltz practices it but I've never heard him push keeping the Sabbath on Gentiles. He just likes in keeping w/his Jewish traditional roots.
That Rood guy & also Monte Judah are big proponets. I've been getting Judah's "Lion & Lamb Ministries" Newsletters & have just about had it with them. Recently, he sent one out basically saying that some books of the Bible (including the Apostle Paul) are incorrect & we shouldn't take them as divinely inspired. They hate the book of Romans & some others. (Conficts w/their Messanic theology of course.)
A SCRIPTURAL VIEW OF MESSIANIC JUDAISMExposing the heresy of the demonic Messianic Jew movement
Lisa,
I read your link and agree with the author. Paul, the Aposle fought the same thing over and over until he made the journey to confront the leaders of the church in Jerusalem. He had it out with all of them but especially Peter.
The book of Galatians is one of the strongest worded teaching on the subject . It is great studying scripture with Jewish resources but to go so far as to include the legal aspects is about the same as a man trying to wear pantyhose. Only worse. The very letter of the Law kills and Jesus destroyed that yoke with his final statement, IT IS FINISHED!
Please excuse any typs, doin this on my iPa and it is not the most fun I have ever had .
You're right, Jib, Dr Frucht has more to say re Sabbath & the Christian at his Come & See website: http://www.ariel.org/amds.htm
Also see his "Israelology" if you have it.
Lisa, Mark Biltz used to have a link to his site where there were explicit pro-Torah teachings. He's not so blunt on his video but he does teach Sabbath observance.
Hyde
I have toe book but couldn't quite wade through it. I have the mp3 abbreviated teaching and we just finished the section on the Sabbath
I'm not overly fond of Biltz-I find him lacking and having a tendency toward going back under the law. his recent postings on halal turkey as an example. He took the verses from Acts about not eating meat totally out of context and presented that as proof that Christians would be sinning if they ate butterball turkeys. He completely ignored the passage in Corinthians where Paul said if you were a mature Christian it wasn't an issue.
my two cents worth
I think it is appropriate for Messianic Jews to keep the Feasts. The Feasts were given to the Jews as a memorial for all time and we know from various scriptures that they will be kept in the Millennial Kingdom. In fact Gentiles will be required to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. I have no problem with this.
otherwise they don't need to keep anything but the Law of Christ. Not even to honor their roots because then they start down the road of putting themselves back under the law.
Grany you are so right that this is what Paul fought against and Lisa you are also probably right about the Messianic attitude toward Paul's books. Frucht has as much said that not all MEssianic congregations are a good thing for a variety of reasons. In fact he does note that there are even some who believe in replacement theology!
Ariel ministries does have some congregations that they do approve of but there aren't many. I would also note that I also think it is appropriate to understand the Jewishness of the scripture and study it from that point of view because I think it takes on a whole different level of meaning.
While there are a few things that I disagree with Frucht on the one thing I do love is that some how he does manage to walk the line between the Jewishness of Scripture without falling back into the Law.
Exactly JIB. One of the interesting aspects of Frucht's presentation is that Jesus was a Jew that died for all mankind. It really does help to understand what various scriptures are talking about instead of thinking the customs of the Jews should be nonJewish believers customs also.
Thinking along those lines, why are so many Messianic groups insisting that Paul's letter to the churches outside of Israel are totally meant for the Jews? That the promises of God to the born again Believers in Jesus only blessings for Jewish believers? Is this the deception that is trying to overtake the church today?
My own personal opinion on that is pretty simple. If it is different than the gospel preached by Paul to the Gentiles, by Peter to the Jews, and totally different that that preached by Jesus Christ, then it is false doctrine and not the gospel at all.
Funny what the twisted mind of man can convince trusting people of.
Have a great day everyone and the sun + The SON are shining in Oklahoma today.
Grany
Challenging Monte Judah's assertion that the Book of Hebrews should be eliminated from the Bible
There are so many people with so many different opinions out there.
Anyone who talks/writes about dismissing books from the Bible for whatever reason, I personally do not give them a second thought.
Donna
that would be my approach.
Lisa
Ha- Frucht has a great commentary on the book of Hebrews and he says it is a VERY Jewish book :-)in fact I am on my second read through
Greetings all
It has been a long time since I posted here, but I do look frequently.
In July my wife fractured her ankle badly, had surgery with a bunch of metal installed, and in the beginning of Nov had a long screw that tied the bones together removed.
All of this so that she wouldn't have to do the gardening (at least that's my story). She has avoided putting weight on it for most of this time, and now is really struggling to learn to walk. Her motto in life is when things get tough or painful, let someone else do it. There is no way out of this for her, but thru it. She is still avoiding the serious pain needed to begin the walking process. Pray that she can overcome this lifelong habit which has led her to this incredibly difficult place.
In the mean time, I have been doing all the cooking, cleaning, dishes, etc. and occasionally get a bit frustrated with doing it all, especially as her limitation comes from her choices. She is using crutches better now instead of a walker in the house, but I fear that hands free moving for her is a long time away.
Our daughter is coming home for Christmas, and prayerfully this will be a better incentive for my wife to push harder, instead of just praying for a miracle and avoiding this time of learning.
Thanks for your prayers. I am trying a anti-biotic course for 6 weeks to see if that solves my fatigue problem. Pray that the doc will work with me on this path that he calls voodoo medicine (I believe that I have a evasive parasite that has not been detected).
God bless,
Wayne
When I drive, I listen to Dr Frucht's series on the synoptics and the jewish traditions behind Jesus's teaching. I am enjoying it, and am almost finished it.

Jib, a lady who does live blood analysis from our church had me on a probiotic treatment of over 1 bl per day. It was good for me, but not the answer. I am taking some probiotics during this treatment, but I don't want to take too much until I have finished the course.
I'm not sure if it is the Christmas oranges, or the antibiotics, but something is messing with my sleep patterns.
We will trust the Lord and see what he brings.
Wayne
that should have been 1 trillion
sorry
LW,
Great seeing your post and will be keeping all of you in my prayers for healing and awakening for lovely wife.
I love that teaching by Dr. Frucht on Hebrews, along with all of his material. But I have to agree with Donna about people that want to take out chapters, verses, books of God's word. What they really need to do is humble their own self and submit. Oh, that is a nasty word to anyone who is rebelling against God.
Maybe just pulling back away from them and see if the silence doesn't improve their outlook more than anything else.
Staying focused on Jesus Christ and all that he taught might be the only prescription for Monte Judah's delicate condition.
Grany
Perhaps it's just me, but has the Lord been waking anyone else up very early in the morning of late? He's been waking me up before 5am for nearly a week..
Maranatha
Mike
ha Mike
funny you should mention that. weekdays I am lucky if I can sleep past 5:30 or 6 am. if I have to get up to go to the bathroom around that time I'm up for the rest of the day. that is an unusual thing for me. weekends lucky to make it past 7am also unusual.
been going on for a few weeks now. thought it was just me. maybe not
I've been like that for a long time. Alesia is waking up earlier as well. A call to prayer?
A babe in Christ friend of mine was waking up @ 5:00 am every morning so she took that as a sign to read her Bible.
She tells me it was "God" waking her up too! (:
Wayne, I know the frustration you feel since I was in a similar situation w/my mom when she fractured her femer near her hip w/ the same menality. She didn't get off her walker though so crutches are a step forward.
I was even "whistle" trained to come when called! Then I'd have the kids plus husband plus her all demanding my attention @ once ~ I would laugh @ how ridiculous it was 4 me @ the time. Fortunately, by God's grace I didn't totally loose it!
Sorry to hear about your wife's foot surgery and problems! All I can say at the moment is ouch! It sounds terrible!
Several years ago I broke some bones in my hand and just sat around barely moving and couldn't do anything for a few days.
After a while I wound up doing a lot of things with my left hand...and then people started bugging me to do things I did not feel comfortable doing...like driving.
In due time I was back to "normal"...but it took a while..and that was just a minor break.
IDK maybe your wife is going overboard with it all...but maybe not.
Either way you are all in my prayers!
As far as sleep goes, I have not had many decent nights sleep in quite a while.
My husband is dealing with PTSD and in the very early morning hours has these terrible dreams...and of course the whole thing messes up my sleep, too.
I should just get up then, but my body is so tired! So I wind up falling back to sleep... then feeling achy and terrible later.
Dumb!
Please keep my husband in your prayers..he's going through a rough time and is not a believer.
Thanks
Praying for your husband, Donna. Praying for healing and Salvation.
Donna,
You have my prayers all the way. I know what you mean about being so tired and unable to stay awake when hubby is up and about. But don't forget, Abba never slumbers nor sleeps so your DH is covered.
Early morning raising seems to be pretty normal for me anymore and it hasn't always been this way. About a year ago it became a 5 a.m. usual morning alert and it did not require an alarm clock, car noises, dog barking or cat crying. NOPE! Just wham, my eyes flew open, my mind was alert and I couldn't go back to sleep even if someone knocked me out.
Yes! Lisa, I do believe it is God calling and just trying to keep up with the daily news gives us more than a few reasons why revelry is being sounded in the inner most being of the Watchmen he has called out for such a time.
I like to read in the Psalms when this happens and it always freshens me up for the day. I do believe he uses the early morning hours to gain communion with all of the Believers.
Just my opinion but there is something in the air but we really aren't supposed to know until He reveals it to us. Maybe just something good as much as it could be anything else.
Grany
Hi everyone. It has been a long time since I posted anything but I do pop in.
I'm getting tired of facebook. It is helpful for me to see other people's posts on informational topics and videos but I hate posting because all the world can see what I post now!
Speaking of early rising...my almost 6 month old so is getting me up very early. He used to sleep through the whole night but only for a few weeks. Now he gets up after only few hours to nurse! Then up again at 5. I am getting gray hair! lol

Merry Christmas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
It is a beautiful sun shiny day here in Okieland and God is STILL ON HIS THRONE! I wonder what it is like in heaven this day and are the angels practicing their Hallelujah Chorus right now. I have a whole bunch of very loved ones there and I am getting very homesick to see them all.
Just think, this celebration today of the birth of Christ is nothing to compare to the great big celebration that we will have when we get in the very real presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ. What a day that will be, when our Jesus we will see!
Have a wonderful day rejoicing for the deliverance from the hand of evil and I don't feel a day older, at all.
Dancing feet, get to moving, shout my Love to the King of Glory.
Grany
Forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday, Grany. May our next Birthdays be in our glorified bodies!
Merry Christmas one and all!
I thank you all for your kind birthday wishes. If I could relive my life, I would really make some drastic changes.
First off, I would fight like crazy to keep the gospel according to God's word. We have today what was allowed to happen during my young/not so young adulthood. I apologize for not paying enough attention to the important things and getting side tracked with the trivia.
But we still have time to get our testimonies to the ones who are lost and wanting to know the truth. There will always be individuals that despise the name of the Lord but hey, prayer changes things and so does the Word of God.
Well, gotta get my Christmas mess cleaned up and put away. Don't get caught in the mobs at the stores tomorrow. We need all of you!
Grany
Grany, reminds me of an interview I read about some years back, with a guy who had made it to his hundredth birthday. The interviewer asked if he could relive his life, would he make the same mistakes? The guy thought for a bit and replied, "Yes, but I'd make them sooner!"
Happy Birthday!
<><
JIM C.
I like that one but if I had to make mistakes I think I would prefer to do them much later. Less heartbreak for my own children and also, Old Age is such a great wagon to hitch your excuses to.
You don't have near as long to live regretting the stupid things and if age does really gain wisdom as it is brought on, then it would be much sweeter to be sincere in smiling.
But now to the serious things in life; Sean Osbourne at Eschatology Today wrote a very interesting summation regarding the Middle East HERE and IMHO it pretty well sums up the events now taking place and those actions of groups leading up to it. I am still digesting it and checking all of the info out.
www.debka.com also has a lot of very interesting information on the whole story.
Have a great week and just think, this is the last week of 2011. May 2012 be the most glorious year of them all so far!

Something to share with you and your families:
Curses Are Reversed And Families 'Sealed' With A Special Blessing On Each Other
Say this to your husbands, to your wives, to your children. It will seal them against evil and release the blessings of G_D upon them and upon you both:
In the Name of the Infant Jesus, "The Lord bless you, and keep you; the Lord make His Face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance to you."
Merry Christmas to you all! (Remember, Christmas lasts 12 days and ends on Jan. 6, the Feast of the Epiphany, when the Magi arrived to do Him honor.)
<><
In the name of the "infant" Jesus?
I don't know that Jesus. The King of Kings sitting at the right hand of God the Father is the one I know. Sheesh.
Prophecy in The News has an interesting article about the Magi. How Jesus was around 2 yrs old whe they arrived (which we know) but in addition they wouldn't have rode camels - they rode horses that were the forerunner to Arabians.
Those Mysterios Magi
I'm not into the "infant Jesus" thing either, Lisa. That's a Catholic website.
This ain't no Baby Jesus:
Revelation 19:
15 From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. 16 On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.
"Infant Jesus" because this is related to blessing your family, it's Christmas, and today happens to be the Feast of the Holy Family, which should be a role model for own own families.
Also remember that, due to the hypostatic union (whereby Jesus is both True God and True Man), from the instant of His conception He was truly G_D, in union with His Father. "Infant Jesus" is as much G_D as is "Crucified Jesus" or "Glorified Jesus" or the Jesus in Revelation.
<><
That should be "...He was truly G_D, in union with His Father and the Holy Spirit."
I'm thinking of this because of an article I recently read that pointed out the homosexual activists who say that Jesus would have accepted homosexual "marriage" are denying this hypostatic union. In the Tanach (Old Testament), both G_D the Father and the Holy Spirit (speaking through the Prophets) condemned homosexuality as an abomination. Jesus COULD NOT change what had been declared by the other two Persons of the Holy Trinity.
Also, I'm leery of anyone who claims that Jesus must have been about 2 yo when the Magi arrived, simply because Herod ordered the deaths of all male children up to the age of 2. Herod was nothing if not thorough in protecting his throne from any and all possible usurpers or rivals, real or imagined. He went so far as to execute a couple of his sons as well as his beloved wife as a message to all who sought to overthrow him. As Caesar Augustus is reported to have said, "Better to be Herod's pig than one of his sons."
Also, the idea that the birth of the new king (whom the Magi were seeking) would have been linked to a single specific astrological event on a specific date would make sense only if the star was a nova or a comet. If it was a nova, the Chinese would have also seen it and noted it; since there's no Chinese record of any such nova during that time, we can count that out. Comets were harbingers of bad news (wars, famine, and death); the birth of Jesus would not have been marked with a comet.
This leaves astrological events such as different planets joining or approaching each other within different constellations. Since these events take place over several nights, they can't be used (usually) to pinpoint exact dates. The events that would have taken place in the early to mid-night in Persia would not have been seen until 4 or 5AM in Jerusalem, which is why the people in Jerusalem didn't notice it. If the signs indicated that Jesus had been born a couple of weeks or months ago, how do you go about making sure you've killed him?
The Temple contained genealogical records, but it wasn't a place to go to find out who was born on such-and-such a day, especially if you wanted to be discrete. You also could not order all new parents to bring their new-born children to the palace so they could be killed. A one-year-old child may or may not be walking; a two-year-old would be. That's something your typical grunt can understand -- go into a town and kill all the children who are too young to walk, i.e., younger than two years old.
<><
Jim,
Just curious. Are you Jewish (ethnically speaking)? If so, were you raised in a non-Messianic Jewish faith tradition of some sort and then converted to Christianity later in life? Perhaps you've shared before and I just missed it. Anyway, I've always noticed that you write "G_d" like many Jewish people do.
Ha guess you never know who might be lurking about :-) Endtime it is good to "see" you. hope all has been well with you.
just want to wish everyone a blessed New Year 2012 should be an interesting year
Jim, no, I'm German-Irish. My dad's favorite comedy album when I was growing up was "How To Be a Jewish Mother", and when I was in 5th grade the sisters did a whole school year emphasizing the Jewish roots of Christianity, but that's about it.
I write "G_D" the way I do because a few years ago when I was getting into eschatology, I learned about this way of writing G_D. It struck me how it was done to show reverence for the name of G_D. I'm a pretty fast typist, mostly because I don't really think about what I'm typing. I found that after I adopted this way of spelling, I have to slow down and actually think about what I'm typing. So it may look funny, but it helps me show reverence to G_D.
So, Israeli and Palesttinian representatives will meet on Tuesday in Jordan:
"Jerusalem (CNN) -- Israeli and Palestinian representatives will meet in Amman, Jordan, on Tuesday in an effort to relaunch negotiations between the two sides after more than a year of deadlock, Jordanian state media reported Sunday..."
Interesting!
Has anyone here read The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn? I have not but it was just recommended to me. Just wondering if anyone here had any insight on the book or author.
Jim G, haven't read it, but here's a link showing Rabbi Cahn on Sid Roth's show.

Well, I got back from the caucus about an hour ago. I expected it to last about 30-40 minutes; I was there two hours. Because I stuck around after casting my vote, I was elected as an alternate to the county Republican Committee, a delegate to the county convention, and got a proposed plank put on the agenda.
I was very disappointed that so many people at my polling place were strong Ron Paul supporters; but as I'm watching CNN right now I see that Santorum is barely in the lead (yay!) with Romney trailing by about 45 votes, and Paul coming in 3rd. It's clear Bachman will be dropping out soon (she got 5% of the vote) while Huntsman may or may not stay in the race. He has about 1% of the vote, but he purposefully ignored Iowa and spent his time in New Hampshire. This Saturday Huntsman made a really nasty joke about Iowa. When asked why he had bypassed Iowa in favor of New Hampshire, he said, "In Iowa they pick corn; in New Hampshire they pick presidents." Since I haven't seen anything about Huntsman in any of the national media, I've got no idea about his positions on anything, and I suspect he won't get more than 10% of the vote in New Hampshire.
I'm looking forward to at least 4 months (maybe 5 or even 6 months) with no more political ads.

I did watch the Tamara video...and while it does seem over the top..it seems possible, too.
Just wondered what other people's reactions are to it...anyone else watch it? Reactions?
Donna, I too am skeptical of these kinds of things. Because of what you said, I watched the video.
Since everything must be examined through the lense of the Bible, I realized that I can't think of this happening to anyone in the Bible. (Of course, some people will say that Jesus went to hell when He died, but He went to "Sheol", which is Hebrew for the "grave.") So this is one reason to be wary of her story.
I believe the Bible strongly supports that there is a hell where the wicked are punished, but this doesn't happen until after Jesus comes. The wicked are consumed in hell after the Great White Throne Judgment, which is after the 1,000 years is over (see Rev. 20). At that time even Death and Hades are destroyed...forever!
Even though I'm sure this lady is sincere, I'm afraid that what she says isn't biblical.
Vicki
Thank you, Mike!
I decided to return to the world of blogging :)
Lots of Love, and wishes for a very happy and blessed New Year-2012 to all!
Your sister in Jesus,
Marge
Good to see you, Marge and Vicki.
Happy New Year one and all.
Thank you for your comments, Vicki and Marge it's nice to see you again.
It would be nice to pick up the pace here once again with regards to eschatology and other related topics, as there sure are a lot of knowledgeable people who have access to this site!
Leaving aside theological debate about the doctrine of hell; when I was a New Ager I read so many conflicting NDE reports that I wonder just how subjective these are.
Yes, near death experiences can't be substituted for actual death experiences, obviously.
I have not looked into doctrines of hell in recent years.
But I do recall reading a few different and seemingly conflicting descriptions....ie., one of an everlasting hell and one of hell being totally burned up and destroyed in the end, as Vicki described....but my knowledge about the doctrines of hell are limited.
This has me curious...any suggestions re: accurate studies of hell?
I've read/heard from an online reputable minister that there are more references in the Bible of hell than there are of heaven(not sure if that is accurate either).
Thank you, Donna :)
Yes. One reason I have come back is to see/discuss what 2012 may mean, in light of Bible prophecy.
There is one book I read (years ago now, though) on hell, by Mary K. Baxter. Her books are written (as I recall) with Dr. T.L. Lowery.
Title of her books are: A Divine Revelation of:
1. heaven
2. hell
3. angels
4. spirit realm
I've read all 4 of her books, (as I mentioned years ago now) and they are all Bible based, backed up with Scripture. However, I know there must be some more, really good teaching out there, as well.
Good to be back! And I'm looking forward to everyone's fellowship, and teaching, too.
Have a blessed Sunday, and week!
Love,
Marge
Always good to be here, Mac. Thanks for the welcome!
Another thing that struck me about that video is that the lady assumed that she was dead when she had this experience. Perhaps she started dying, which can set off lots of chemical reactions / "firings" in the brain.
Like Mac said, a lot of these things have to do with subjection--what a person previously believed or had been taught. However, we can't discount the devil sending these kinds of messages at certain times to deceive. He's the worst kind of opportunist.
There are so many deceptions going on right now, unless one is firmly grounded in the Word, we most certainly will be deceived.
Maybe some of you have read about the couple whose son has died, and now the son is appearing or talking to various ones. They wrote a book on it. I don't want to include a link, because this is most dangerous and unbiblical. But we need to be warned against this type of thing and have our Armor on!
God bless!
Vicki
Donna, one website that has helped answer my questions about this subject is Helltruth.com Lots of good information there.
Sounds good to me, too, Marge!
2012 may be an interesting year!
Thank you Marge and Vicky for the info!
One thing is sure, the NT does speak of Hades as a place for departed spirits. Whatever that place is, it isn't comfortable (Luke 16:24).
my two cents worth
Can God give us visions-yes, I think the visions however need to be evaluated in light of scripture. The issue is this woman doesn't just claim to have had a vision she claims to have physcially gone to hell, been brought out by God and then restored to life. That scenario is not scriptural. There is a Christian doc who is quite an authority on this-he did many of the landmark studies but don't remember his name. He found something quite interesting-people more frequently had visions of hell which were accurate even those who had had no prior teaching. If you talked to them right after the fact they said hell, if you talked to them weekd later they all said they went to heaven. interesting.
My understanding is that hell is where the unsaved dead go prior to the Great White Throne judgement and is distinct from and different than the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the eternal desination of those without Christ and is typically what people think of when they think of Hell. I don't think Sheol just means grave either-i think Christ did descend down into Hell and came back out.
a couple of requests
1-my asthma is bad at the moment and it's getting old, on lots of steroids and could use some prayers for healing.
2-one of our other surgeons was let go by his group, which over all is a good thing except I am not entirely certain just how mentally stable he is and he blames me erroneously for much of what has been going on, just keep the situation in mind and pray for all involved. how crazy is he-who knows. would he do something stupid don't think so but who knows. he is so lost on so many levels, i feel for him to a certain extent but this is a major answer to prayer because the situation overall was becoming unworkable. pray that when his group finds his replacement that this person will play nice and well with others
Frucht has a nice teaching on hell also-it is free and part of the come and see series
Praying for all those issues, Jib.
Good point re the Come & See teachings!
Thought Jim C. might like this one Minnesota Archbishop Orders Priests: Support Traditional Marriage or Be Quiet
From Lisa's link:
As Minnesota voters gear up to vote on a state constitutional amendment defining marriage as only between a man and a woman, the Catholic Church’s archbishop for Minneapolis and St. Paul has ordered priests in his diocese to show their support for the amendment effort — and the church’s stand on the institution of marriage, which they promised to defend when they were ordained — or remain silent.
I would change that to...or get out.
so another prayer request
just had another bombshell dropped this week. the couple least likely to get a divorce in our church is getting a divorce. apparently their relationship has been broken for sometime and they have stayed together for a long time because "it was the right thing to do" however now they have determined that it isn't the right thing to do-they are good as friends just not as spouses. time would have been they would have told someone else what a cop out that was. people are reeling needless to say. to make matters worse, she is on a committee that has been coming up with reasons and research as to why our church should leave the pcusa. She thankfully did not have the marriage and sex section but idolatry. however the presentation is in 2 weeks. I can't help but think there could be blowback from their announcement and then this presentation on scriptural authority. the kids are just devastated and she knows better since she had to go through her parents break up. apparently they have decided since theirs isn't a good relationship they aren't really doing anyone any good. I feel for them I really do but still-Mr and Mrs no divorce, marriage is a sacrament getting a divorce. wow. makes you wonder just how good any relationship is. pray for Ken,Kirsten, Chole and Cassidy.
I completely agree and basically the change in ordination standards is what is probably going to bust our church. our pastor is a little skittish about this committee since he can't be seen to support it until the church votes to do something with the information. if our church chooses to ignore the information or do nothing with the information we will be church shopping since we can not support the pcusa. we love our church and our pastor and the members of the church but they are denying scriptural authority. there aren't many churches to choose from imo in town-too loose, too emergent or to legalistic. going out of town is not an option with my schedule. we shall see.
Wow.
Thanks for that link, Lisa. I'm passing it on to a friend who runs a news aggregator. You can get a grasp at how far some of these people have drifted from Christianity (much less Catholicism) from the comment by that progressive "Catholic" :
“Is one’s position on whether the State constitution should be amended a matter of Church doctrine? How are Catholics to form their consciences if their pastors are not candid with them?”
The question isn't whether or not to amend the State constitution. This is a question of doctrine. You can have a lot of areas of honest disagreement about doctrine -- the limits of just war theory, how to effectively promote subsidiarity in the Federal government, stuff like that. But there are some areas of doctrine over which there is no debate, and can never be debated. Among them are the evil of abortion and the fact that marriage is supposed to be between one man and one woman. Doctrine states that the Church CANNOT support homosexual "marriage", and it is both the role and the duty of the Bishop to ensure that correct doctrine is taught throughout his diocese. It's his job to ensure that none of the priests under his jurisdiction are teaching anything contrary to Catholic doctrine.
Unfortunately, Mr. Hyde, you can't just tell the dissenting priest to "get out." Ordination to the Catholic Priesthood is a life choice, like marriage. I've known a number of Protestant ministers who, for whatever reason, chose to leave the ministry and become insurance salesmen. Or computer technicians. Yet when a seminarian takes those vows and becomes "a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek" (Ps. 110:4), it's not something that can be simply set aside. When a priest is laicized, he's not simply returned to the lay state. He is freed from most if not all of his vows while at the same time his authority to perform priestly duties is revoked. It's NOT an easy thing to do.
Wanted to post two more items related to this discussion: Pope Warns Gay Marriage Threat to Humanity Pope Benedict XVI issued a warning to world leaders this week about policies promoting gay marriage. The pontiff told a group of more than 100 diplomats Monday that gay marriage is not only a threat to the traditional family, but to humanity's future. And something that adds a new twist to the story of what's happening in Minneapolis: New Vikings stadium could be ‘disastrous’ for Catholic basilica Two proposed new stadium sites for the Minnesota Vikings professional football team, especially one only 300 feet from the Catholic Basilica of St. Mary, have the church’s rector “very concerned.” “I can't imagine how our thousands of Sunday worshipers would be able to compete with the more than 60,000 people who attend a Vikings game – there simply isn't that much room in this area and the traffic, congestion, tailgating and parking issues alone could be disastrous for our Sunday worship schedule,” Fr. John Bauer said at a Jan. 10 press conference.
Makes me worry about the possibility of retaliation against the Basilica if the Marriage Amendment passes.
Jib, will be praying for that family, and for your congregation.
<><
Praying for all concerned, Jib.
Unfortunately, Mr. Hyde, you can't just tell the dissenting priest to "get out."
That is most unfortunate for the Catholic church. It has had far-reaching ramifications in Melbourne where offending priests have been moved around different Parishes and kept offending.
I had no idea that the RC church considered a priest to be "a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek" (Ps. 110:4)
We were taught from a Bible teacher in college that the order of Mechizedek is a heavenly order...not earthly...and that there was a bit of mystery or sorts around it, as I recall.
This is the context of the Psalm:
A Psalm of David. The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet." The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of Your enemies." Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew. The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek." The Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath. He will judge among the nations, He will fill them with corpses, He will shatter the chief men over a broad country. He will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up His head. Psa 110:1-7
actually that Psalm is a Messianic Psalm more than anything and doesn't refer to believers but Christ. The order of Melchizedek was a non Jewish priesthood of God and the only priesthood that Christ can be a priest in since he is not of the tribe of Levi. The only time we see this priesthood in action is in Genesis and Abraham swears fealty and offers tribute to the priest at that time which subordinates the Jewish priesthood to this non Jewish priesthood. There is a thought that this priest to whom he swears is actually one of Noah's sons-Shem I think. that last bit is speculation.
Absolutely right, Jib. Coincidentally, I've been re-reading Michael Rydelnik's "The Messianic Hope - Is The Hebrew Bible Really Messianic". Dr Rydelnik points out that Psalm 110 is one of the many Messianic texts.
Mr. Hyde, yes it can be unfortunate. It is possible for a bishop to "involuntarily laicize" a priest, but that's a very drastic action. It's usually done only after a series of hearings, in order to keep the bishop from abusing his authority. It's more likely that the bishop would limit or restrict the priest's permission to perform certain duties or actions.
The priest acts "in persona Christi", in the person of Christ. (Luke 10:16) Since ordination to the priesthood involves the reception of certain charisms from G_D, those charisms can never be revoked or removed by any human act or agency. The priest is subject to earthly authorities, though, and they can say when and where he can use these charisms.
If any of the priests under the authority of Archbishop John Niensedt should disobey the Archbishop in this matter, the Archbishop has the authority (and some would argue, the duty) to correct these priests. Obviously, he would like to do that privately, but if he is a good bishop then he'll take whatever steps he deems necessary to correct the priest and shepherd the people in his diocese.
And Donna, yes, we're talking about something mystical here (not necessarily mysterious). This is covered more completely in this tract, which covers Genesis 14:18 and Psalm 110 about halfway down. "The Order of Melchizedek" doesn't mean like a religious order, since those didn't exist at that time. The phrase can also be translated as "In the Manner of Melchizedek", i.e., with bread and wine. Melchizedek was both a king and a priest in Salem, i.e., Jerusalem. This section of scripture shows that hundreds of years before Moses instituted the Aaronic priesthood, there were priests in Jerusalem offering sacrifices to haShem. And while some may try to trace Melchizedek's lineage to Shem (can never say his name without thinking of The Three Stooges), I'm more interested in knowing if his lineage can be traced to David and thus to Jesus.
<><
Jim, sadly, it’s not only priests who transgress but nuns as well. One real problem for the church is that it suffers a lack of new priests and nuns filling the roles. This is certainly true in Australia where priests are recruited from other nations.
Messianic Psalm 110 refers to Jesus. Gen 14:18 introduces Melchizedek and his mention in Hebrews again refers to Christ only. I’d argue that referencing these to anyone else is an exercise in deduction by traditional pre-understanding. Whether the breaking of bread and wine is a continuous sacrifice or a remembrance is a biggie and won’t be resolved here. I stand by the latter (Luke 22:19-20).
Who is Melchizedek?
SHEM!
Genesis 11:10-26
10 This is the genealogy of Shem: Shem was one hundred years old,
and begot Arphaxad two years after the flood.
11 After he begot Arphaxad, Shem lived five hundred years, and
begot sons and daughters.
12 Arphaxad lived thirty-five years, and begot Salah.
13 After he begot Salah, Arphaxad lived four hundred and three
years, and begot sons and daughters.
14 Salah lived thirty years, and begot Eber.
15 After he begot Eber, Salah lived four hundred and three years,
and begot sons and daughters.
16 Eber lived thirty-four years, and begot Peleg.
17 After he begot Peleg, Eber lived four hundred and thirty years,
and begot sons and daughters.
18 Peleg lived thirty years, and begot Reu.
19 After he begot Reu, Peleg lived two hundred and nine years, and
begot sons and daughters.
20 Reu lived thirty-two years, and begot Serug.
21 After he begot Serug, Reu lived two hundred and seven years,
and begot sons and daughters.
22 Serug lived thirty years, and begot Nahor.
23 After he begot Nahor, Serug lived one hundred and nineteen years,
and begot sons and daughters.
24 Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and begot Terah.
25 After he begot Terah, Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years,
and begot sons and daughters.
26 Now Terah, lived seventy years, and begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
Now, we take this info and break it down. . .
Flood + 2 = Shem + 100
Shem is 100 yrs old, two years after the Flood:
Flood + 2 = Death of Shem = 602
Shem dies 500 years later at the age of 602.
SHEM OUTLIVED ABRAHAM
Shem will live another 208 years after the death of Abraham..
(Abraham dies 467 years after Flood.}
Melchizedek is Shem because Shem outlives all of the generations of his own son!
* He outlives all generations before Abraham and even Abraham... Shem probably attended
Abraham's funeral.
Grany
interesting.
the bigger point of this particular priest though is that it is superior to the Aaronic priesthood because of the way Abraham paid tribute. He placed his hand essentially under the groin/testicular area when he paid tribute subjecting all his seed. stands to reason that whomever he was was pretty important and pretty well known to have gotten this kind of response. Whether Shem or not it is certain that Shem well outlived his descendants many times over.
Jim C
doubtful that Christ can trace any actual physical lineage to him and it really doesn't matter since it is the type that is important not the genetic relationship.
Came across this today If You Continue In The Faith and thought he explained it well.
This would apply to the discussion on the progressive Catholics veering away from Biblical Truth (Marriage/Abortion) as well as any professed Christ Follower.
The problem is that structurally these unbelieving people are "kept" w/the sheep when they've fallen away & their hearts/minds have been corrupted.
You can tell them to "keep quiet" but underneath they are still simmering in their sin & all you can do is hope it won't produce visible rotten fruit. It will remain "hidden".
In the Biblical model the corrupted seed (one that fell away) is removed from the good seeds so that their infulence will not infect the others. If/when they repent - they come back in total forgiveness & fellowship.
(I was also taught that "The order of Melchizedek" was a reference to Jesus Christ as our High Priest.)
That was hubby with the life span on Shem. He at least is reading the scriptures and trying to figure things out.
My eyes are giving me fits again so my time spent on the internet is getting less and less.
I love ya all, miss the fellowship but the rest of the story is still in the making.
Shalom
Your hubby is welcome any time, Grany. Missing your frequent comments too.
Just lost a dear Omega Letter friend. His name was Lou Talley. He was a crusty curmudgeon with a heart of gold. Am missing his comments at the OL.
Good for hubby! strong work.
Mac
always difficult when good friends pass. praying for you and all those at OL and his family
Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend, too, Mac.
It's not easy losing people, even if we have faith that they are in a better place and that we shall be with them again.
Please pray for our area/western WA. Snow storm, (yesterday) and now freezing rain. Very dangerous conditions thru out western WA.
Thank you!
God's richest blessings,
Love,
Marge
Thanks, Jib and Donna.
Praying for God's intervention and protection, Marge.
That was me :) Too many typos :)
Thank God for answered prayers!
Snow/ice storms are over and done.
Good to hear, Marge!!!
a couple of requests
1-pray this week for the upcoming meeting of the committee my hubby has been on. They will be presenting their findings on how the PCUSA essentially is an apostate organization and how this will affect our local church, why we should pull out of it etc. Had they presented to the last session of elders this would have been a slam dunk to present the info to the congregation and put it to a vote to leave. Not so much now. Should they do delaying tactics or vote to ignore we will be church shopping :-( The meeting is this Thursday at around 6pm MST.
2- i have a friend in WV whose marriage is probably falling apart-her husband is bad mouthing her to his mom, he has never put his mom in her place and allows her to bad mouth his wife and step daughter, the mom in law has gotten so bad with her comments that others won't even repeat them. When she tries to talk to hubby about this-she and others are exaggerating, she's over reacting and it isn't that bad. She is very stressed needless to say. At one point she had made a profession of faith but does not go to church. This has been going on since 1999 when they got married but has become much worse. This mom in law has done her level best to break this marriage up from before it happened. She really did give her car keys to her son and told him to leave my friend at the altar-because she was unworthy of him. bad scene. I don't think anyone thought it would be this bad or get this bad. She has been far more patient with the b****h than I would have been. pray for Teresa please, Katy also. She may just be trying to get through Katy's undergrad but that is about 2.5 years away. They do have a daughter together also who is around 6.
Marge
glad all is ok with the weather
Thanks for praying, Mac, Donna and Jib.
Praying Jib.
May everyone have a blessed Sunday, and week.
Love,
Marge
Praying for all those issues, Jib.
hi all
quick requests from kinderquilt
she is doing well. She and hubby were moving to Cape Cod but only she has been able to move. they can't sell their house in NY and she is getting pretty lonely. She would love for their house to sell so hubby can join her. i think she is now near family. She has a wonderful job which God has lead her to after years of teaching in public schools this one is a breath of fresh air. She loves it and is quite happy.
Her son has an issue with drug addiction although like most addicts he doesn't see it. She requests that we pray for him as well. i encouraged her to stop by and say hi. whether she will or not remains to be seen. She has found a wonderful home church as well
Praying for God's intervention, Jib.
Please pray for Alesia. Tomorrow she is undergoing a very complex surgical procedure which will take the better part of the day.
Thank you all.
Agreeing in prayer, for all prayer petitions.
Yes, praying for all as well.
just found out that a dear person in our church has just been placed on hospice. can't say I am truly surprised though given the type of cancer she had. They are such a lovely couple and we were on the deacon board together. Pray for Penny and Bill. Rather ironically when they were on the deacon board they were the funeral hosts for the church. This has been a really rough year for them and as I expected she is going to succumb to her cancer-Bill is just going to be lost and devastated. I think they have a child or spouse of a child going through cancer treatment also.
Mac, how is Alesia doing? She is in my prayers, as are the others mentioned who need prayers.
Thanks for asking, Vicki. Alesia's surgery went very well - praise God - although she is now in a lot of pain from bruising and swelling. All to be expected, unfortunately.
Jib, how did the meeting this week go?
So many people are getting cancer these days. I don't know if it's increasing or just so many people I happen to know/know of are getting it.
My dear friend's gay brother-in- law has recently been diagnosed w/brain cancer w/3 months to live. So far he's still doing ok but of course the family is reeling from the news. He lives w/his lover in Palm Springs and when the subject of God came up he thinks he's ok since he was baptized a Catholic.
His brother who was also raised Catholic did inform him that Catholics do not condone homosexuality so he's wrong if he thinks its biblical & that he would be still be considered a real Catholic.
So far that's where it stands so pray that he will see the light & repent B4 he leaves this earth.
so the meeting went quite well as nearly as anyone can tell. the elders were shell shocked to say the least. one of the elders clutched his Bible through the whole thing and looked very panicked I guess is the right word. He is very orthodox to say the least. Even those thought to be at least moderate were aghast at how bad the PCUSA has become. Others were just shocked it had been going on as long as it has been going on.
The Pastor has asked the head of this committee to address the congregation at our annual meeting this coming Sunday so please be in prayer about that as well. We do have a number of quite liberal people in the congregation but they are by and large out numbered by those who are more orthodox. the over riding issue is that if the presbytery catches any hint that we are trying to leave the denomination then can replace all our elders, deacons and even the pastor with those more sympathetic to liberalism. If all goes well however it should come to a congregational vote to leave hopefully within a couple of months.
we went to a Luthteran infant baptism a couple of weeks ago and it made me want to weep. the service was sooooooooooooooooooooo dry and the grandparents I have no doubt are believers, the infant's parents who knows although both are confirmed members/baptized in this same church but living together unmarried. go figure. They also think baptism saves them and no personal decision is needed for Christ. not certain how to approach this.
my elderly uncle is also in hospice. we went up to see him Sunday. i would be surprised if he lasts a week. we went to visit our deacon friend and she was so worn out with visitors that we could not get in to see her. I thought the staff was a tad rude-told me to leave a note and when I went to hand it to her she just told me to leave it there and she'd get to it. really. i will email her hubby and let him know we did try to stop by.
Agreeing in prayer, for all prayer petitions.
I saw Walid Shoebat, on Jewish Voice, this week. Did anyone see that program? Some interesting things were said, about current events. I know W.S. has a different slant on Bible prophecy. But, I wonder who, exactely, (Bible teachers) has it all down 100%, if any.
Just "food for thought," is all.
Love to all,
Marge
Mac
how is Alesia today?
Quick request-my sister in laws niece is having significant issues at age 4 with her dad being deployed in Afghanistan- locks herself in the closet and cries for hours, throws major temper tantrums etc. so bad they are going to have to take her to counselor! Pray for Ali the little girl, her mom Danielle and dad Dustin. None of them know Christ either. Dustin will be going back to war in a week or so. He complained to his family that I talk to him more on facebook than they do. Odd how something so small to me means sooo much to him.
She's feeling a little better, Jib. But she sure has been challenged!
Praying for the situation.
Marge, Walid and Joel (Richardson) stirred up a hornet's nest with the Islamic AC idea. It wasn't so much the idea itself, because it isn't new; it was more that they were accusing some of the "EU" people of being blind to tradition. Walid even claimed that his ethnicity gave him an advantage when interpreting Revelation. Walid suggests that Rev 13:16-18 isn't a number but that it means “Bismillah” or “in the name of Allah”. That isn't a faithful rendering of those verses.
Having said that, I think Walid is a genuine Christian who has exposed terrorism for what it is.
I guess some of us sometimes get caught up in "prophecy pie throwing fights" ;-)
Thanks, Mac.
And no, I don't want to get into an prophecy pie throwing contests, lol! What he said, peeked my interest, though. Especially in light of current events, Iran, and such.
Love to all,
Marge
Pie throwing contests are messy, and usually not worth it. Unless it's chocolate cream pie. With whipped-cream topping. And lemon- meringue pie. Have someone throwing those at me and I could deal with it.
<><
Apple pie works for me. And I'm partial to Alesia's cheese cake. Does that qualify as a pie?
I agree with Jim about the chocolate cream pie :-)
and interesting article from a secular website on the coming world government-worth reading.
Internet Tax leads to global governance
Hi everyone!
SEEING ya all are into pie throwing, how about a minced meat pie? Good for you while landing softly where ever it goes.
Finally able to read again and tolerating the monitor brightness pretty well. Will be praying for Alesia, and all of the prayer requests.
Please excuse all of the typos as my fingers have to get accustomed to typing again.
One thing I have to share with you that blessed me and I hope it will you also. I decided to test my ability to drive all by myself yesterday (haven't been further than Walmart here for over 2 months). So, needing new tires on my car and getting very tired of DJH's procrastination of replacing them, I drove to Ft. Smith. Got 2 new front wheel tires and came back home. By the time I started home, it was dark but nothing I could do about it but fasten up and start the engine.
My vision was great, depth perception was right on and couldn't do anything but praise the Lord. Well, the big thing that blessed me so, I could actually feel the presence of the Lord all the way home!!!!!! I mean, really FEEL HIM in my car while I was driving and praising.!
He is so Great and I feel like Toni the Tiger just thinking about it.
Ya all have a great week and don't forget,
Praise the Lord so the rocks won't have to do it for you.
Great Grany 5
Great to see ya, Grany.
Tell DJH you NEED new tires!!
New post is up.
Good to SEE YA 2. I am praying for your DW and also, her DH. You both sound battle weary and we can't have that.
I purchased 2 for the front of the car and might just make the trip back over there tomorrow (now that I can drive again)and get the other two on DJH'S CREDIT card.hehehehe I didn't realize they were as bad as they are but the tread isn't even deep enough to hod a dime let alone a quarter.
Ya gotta know that I have powerful Angels but Jesus told the devil it wasn't a wise thing to tempt God.
By the way, Iran seems to be enjoying Tempting our Abba of late. Joel Rosenberg wrote about it on his blog and said that the Supreme Leader of Iran is now saying the Israel WILL BE REMOVED----that is a whole different story than what the Dinner Jacket has been saying. Even to the point of becoming very bold in threatening the USA with terror attacks. Time to put the hedge of protection around this nation, stronger than ever. Pray is always much more effective if we all come into agreement on that Hedge coming from Abba.
Take care and Hydeho, anoint your BLDW (beloved dear wife) with oil and pray for her suffering to be removed in the Name of Jesus Christ and by HIS WORD "Healed by the Stripes of Jesus".
Grany
