Eze 36:24-28

For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.

It's interesting, but Isaiah 11:11-16 sounds an awful lot like the War of Psalm 83. G_D will raise a signal (i.e., He'll raise a flag) to gather in "the outcasts of Israel", including the ones from Pathros, i.e., northern Egypt. (Anyone else think of the Israeli diplomats in Cairo being whisked away to their own safety?) Ephraim was the Northern Kingdom and Judah was the Southern Kingdom (where Jerusalem is). So Israel is united, and will "swoop down on the foothills of the Philistines to the west," ("Palestine" comes from the Latin form of the name "Philistine" -- look out, Gaza) while "Edom and Moab shall be their possessions, and the Ammonites their subjects." (Edom, Moab, and Ammon all make up what is modern Jordan, which, BTW, was all part of the land that was promised to the Jews as their homeland under the Balfour Declaration.)

You know, Jordan is officially the keeper of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Temple Mount. If Jordan becomes the subject of Israel, that means that Israel would be in control of Temple Mount. Interesting, no?

Oh, and I've started signing up to newspapers so I can comment on articles. Specifically, every article I've read about the UN vote says something to the effect that giving Palestine "observer state" status would give them standing in the World Court to file charges against Israel. No one seems to realize that the reverse is also true: Israel could then file charges against Palestine. If, after the vote, Palestine still insists on firing missiles into Israel, they would have NO legal standing to complain when Israel retaliated.

Oh, and I saw "Contagion" tonight with my daughter. HIGHLY recommended!

We received some beautiful rain today and it smells so good outside. Thank you Abba.

Now heading to the slumber room for a good night's sleep. Phones got turned off today by accident and we just discovered it about 10 minutes ago. Jim turns the land line phone off before he goes to bed and he failed to turn it back on this morning. One way to have some quiet but now I am wondering what calls I missed out on. sucks!

By the way, did any of you have a knee jerk reaction to the Federal Reserves actions today? Caused the market to exit side left.

What are the grounds for impeachment?
Can citizens initiate the impeachment against the Federal Government? I know I studied it in high school but lots of water has passed over the bridge since then and I never really had much reason to even think such thoughts before. Except with Slippery Dick and the Watergate Gang.

Oh, well! This too shall pass but if any of you have a few minutes to spare you might find Perry Stone's Manna-fest very interesting this week.

Jim C.,

Interesting article. Can't say I reached the same conclusion as Brother André Marie but he did raise some important points to think about.

I particularly liked footnote #7 where he said:

I once had an argument with a sectarian, who pointed out to me that the word “Catholic” is not in the Bible. I mentioned to her that neither is the word “Bible” in the Bible. She confidently pointed to hers, and said, “It’s right here on the cover, ‘Holy Bible!’” Some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting.

On a related note, Gary Thomas in his book Sacred Marriage, says that God made marriage to make us holy, not to make us happy.

Maybe that could be a good way for those of us who are married to guage the current health of our marriage relationships. Ask ourselves, is my marriage:
A.) heavenly
B.) like purgatory (God is using it to make me more holy)
C.) hell

Great Grany 5 said...

Try being married to a NON BELIEVER and you will know what real hell feels like. Purgatory? Nope; can't say that I know anyone who has ever been there and come back to tell us about it.

I'm tempted to comment on the purgatory issue. Don't really have time at this point. But I'm perplexed as to how suffering after death can achieve purity when it seems to be a different formula when one is alive.

“My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1)

Mr. Hyde,
I am sorry for your loss but if you could only see what she is seeing right now your loss would be a whole lot less.

When my mother entered into that beautiful and safe place called Heaven, it was a tremendous loss for my brother and I too. But time and time again, I have been so thankful that she hasn't had to live in these turbulent times. I miss her still but there is a wonderful peace that comes from knowing where she is and who she is seeing.

Paul told us 'to absent from the flesh is to be present with the Lord' and also, Jesus said He would never leave us or foresake us. So Heaven is where her spirit is and soon, very soon the rest of us will follow.

Keeping you in our prayers in greater measure than before.

jim.carroll said...

Well, Mr. Hyde, who says suffering before death DOESN'T help one achieve purity? A Christian's goal is to become like Christ, who not only suffered but also died for us. No less an apostle than Paul wrote of his sufferings, not to boast in them, but to help his fellow believers know that sufferings will come, and that by uniting our sufferings to Jesus on the cross we will attain that greater perfection, which is love.

It's important to understand that the souls in Purgatory are called the HOLY Souls: their entrance into heaven is assured and they have that hope to sustain them. They can no more reach heaven on their own actions than we can. We can, however, pray for them. In uniting our prayers and sufferings with those of Jesus on the cross, we can help them reach that perfection that will admit them to heaven. Once there, they then can and do pray for us, who once helped them.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, Mac. It's hard to lose people we love, even if we know they will be in heaven.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

jim.carroll said...

Mr. Hyde, Grany is 100% correct. However, we're not talking about removing sin. The Catholic phrase is "attachment to sin" or "the near occasion of sin".

This is taken from a user on CAF named Midori:

If you die perfectly united with God and free from sin, you go straight to heaven.

For those who die imperfectly united to God with some degree of attachment to sin remaining, a stay in Purgatory is required first, since nothing unclean can enter Heaven, but God's mercy prevents us from going to Hell on the basis of minor infractions.

Our sufferings on earth can reduce our time in Purgatory, if we properly apply them. Suffering on earth is far more valuable than suffering in Purgatory, because we can spiritually grow and develop virtue in response to our sufferings. Suffering in Purgatory, however, is merely purification, so there's no real merit connected to it there like there is on earth.

"Attachment to sin" means those "little" things that you might not think are important, so you don't make the effort to break yourself of the attachment to them. An example might be alcoholism or any addiction. You might have been sober for the past 20 years, but every so often you go back to the AA meetings. Why? Because something in your life has caused you to find the thought of taking a drink desirable. Because you need that extra support to help you to choose not to take that one drink or that one cigarette. After all that time, you are still attached to your sin.

So the proper application of suffering on earth, by uniting it to the Suffering of Christ, can help us break those attachments we have developed to sinful attitudes, actions, and behaviors. To those things that, in a word, block us from giving and receiving love to and from other people.

Jim C, I read the article but I only want to weep over what the author doesn't understand about The Bible & salvation.

The blood of Christ is powerful enough to cover those who follow Him no-matter what. Its Christ we trust in for our sanctification. In His way & His timing. We follow by listening to His voice & crucifying our flesh so that the Holy Spirit can reign supreme in us & through us. Because w/o Him we can do nothing. (Nothing of eternal value)

How were the OT saints justified? By the law they couldn't keep perfectly? No- simply by their faith in God & His promises to them.

How are the NT saints justified? By doing a certain amount of good works @ the precise timing? No-simply by their faith in Christ & His Word.

The evidence that both are in a right standing w/God is that they will show obedience to what
pleases Him. Not only for a season but until their last breath. Was it always perfect obedience? No, but God's love is so great that He even works out our sin/mistakes for our benefit. Its how we spiritually mature & grow in our admiration of who God is & our trust in Him.

Honestly I feel sorry for Catholics because they are taught to strive for salvation by particular works. Its like someone trying to turn off a treadmill that's going so fast its impossible to make it to the control panel. Finally you get exhausted & fly off the back.

We who completely trust in Christ & follow His leading have no other burdens. The freedom is 100% living in Christ & knowing that His Righteousness has been bestowed upon us because that's what it takes to enter the presense of our Holy God. We trust that we will be sanctified to whatever point we are predetermined to before we leave this earth. God has already planned out how He is going to break our attachments to sin through divine revelations, & trials & tests of this life on earth.

So that's it - you don't have to be concerned w/an
additional step of purgatory. It may sound logical to human reasoning but its not mentioned in God's Word to us. We serve an awesome God & how great are His ways & His love toward us. We can barely even comprehend it.

Mr Hyde said...

Midori has provided a nice argument but he’s assuming to be true something that needs to be proven. In fact C S Lewis “The Great Divorce” (which I enjoyed reading) believed in Purgatory as well.

But I think Romans 7 goes some way to contradict that. 1 Thess 4:17 also comes to mind. There’s no mention of Purgatory there. Paul says that we will all be changed. I assume that the “we” means all those saved alive at the time (whenever that occurs). Considering Paul’s musings in Rom 7, I doubt they’ll all be at the same level of non-attachment to facilitate a mass rapture with no one needing further time in Purgatory.

Here's one of Jack Kelly's responses re: purgatory:

What Is Purgatory?

Q. I thank the Lord for you, your staff and for this website.

In regards to your articles on Jesus preaching to the spirits in prison, is this the same place what the Roman Catholics believe as PURGATORY? If not, where did they get the concept from?

A. Before the cross, no one from Earth could enter into heaven upon dying. (John 3:13) Both the saved and unsaved went to a place called Sheol in Hebrew and Hades in Greek. For those who had died in faith of a coming redeemer who would die for their sins it was a place of comfort, but for non believers it was a place of torment. The story of Lazarus and the Rich Man describes this. (Luke 16:19-31) It also explains that there was no way of crossing from one to the other. In other words, once a person has died their eternal destiny is fixed. So there is no such place as purgatory.

The practice of praying for the dead originated in ancient pagan religions and may be the source of the Catholic belief in purgatory. The idea was first introduced into the Catholic Church in the 2nd Century AD. as a place between heaven and hell where the dead who have not sinned greatly enough to warrant hell, but have not yet purified themselves enough in goodness to enter into heaven, go to prepare and purify themselves of sin.

As you can see belief in purgatory requires that one first assumes the Lord’s death was not sufficient to pay for all our sins, and that it’s up to us to finish the work He only began. This is a non Biblical doctrine that is specifically and repeatedly denied in Scripture.

So has he passed from life to eternal death or life to eternal life? unknown.

MAC, you would probably find it very interesting too.

But the thing that so impressed me the most about it was the scene he experienced on his "journey" was so very much like what my precious Mother told us she had experienced. To the place that after the dream she had, she no longer had any fear of leaving this world permanently.

It is so good that I am going to copy and send it to several very good friends of mine that are on this same threshold.

I would REALLY appreciate your prayers right now.

I went down to Santa Monica this weekend to attend a Jewish naming ceremony for my niece and to celebrate my niece turning one year old. My younger half-sister converted to Judaism in the past few years. Went through the conversion process as would be required if one were not a Jew by birth (though her Dad, my step dad is a Jew by birth). Anyway, while there, my sister broke the news to me that my Mom (who we share) has stage 3 mounth cancer. My mom has known this for over a month. She goes into surgery tomorrow AM. My mom told my sister she would disown my sister if she shared it with anybody. My sister flew into Portland today (I flew back yesterday) to be with my Mom tomorrow. I am going over to my Mom's house now to meet my sister there when she arrives. We need to somehow let my Mom know that I know and that her other children should know too. There's a bunch of shame and guilt my mom lives with.

She was a closet smoker for many, many years. She kept it well hidden from almost everybody though my sister knew and I knew. Anyway, she is embarrassed that she has mouth cancer likely brought on by cigarette smoking. There are a ton of other dynamics going on. She has come across to my sister as very judgmental about her conversion to Judaism and rejection of Christ. I know the Lord is going to use this to do something very good for our family. More to say later. Please pray that the Holy Spirit guides and that the enemy is bound. In Christ, Jim G.

Hope to be able to go to dinner with my sister, my Mom, and my step-day this evening.

jim.carroll said...

Greetings, all! The family stuff is cleared up (mostly) and I finally have the time to sit down and write out a reply to the discussion we were having re: Purgatory.

Donna, that article by Jack Kelly was interesting. It was also wrong. Mr. Kelly wrote: "The practice of praying for the dead originated in ancient pagan religions and may be the source of the Catholic belief in purgatory." Mr. Kelly's error is saying that praying for the dead is strictly a pagan practice. If you have a Bible with the Deuterocanonical books in them, check out 2 Maccabees 12:39-46:

On the following day, since the task had now become urgent, Judas and his companions went to gather up the bodies of the fallen and bury them with their kindred in their ancestral tombs. But under the tunic of each of the dead they found amulets sacred to the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. So it was clear to all that this was why these men had fallen. They all therefore praised the ways of the Lord, the just judge who brings to light the things that are hidden. Turning to supplication, they prayed that the sinful deed might be fully blotted out. The noble Judas exhorted the people to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen. He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to two thousand silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice. In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way, inasmuch as he had the resurrection in mind; for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be absolved from their sin.

You can say that the Deuterocanonical books are not inspired scripture; however, even if they aren't, they are historical. This quote shows that to pray and offer sacrifices for the dead was not just a pagan practice, but also a pious practice among the Jews. It was a well established practice 200 years before the birth of Christ; there is nothing to indicate that the practice fell out of favor by the time Jesus began his ministry. If it was a practice that was not approved of by G_D, Jesus most certainly have condemned it, as He did with the Mosaic law on divorce.

What's more, the authors of the Epistles would have known about the practice, and being good Jews would have considered it to be a "holy and pious" practice. The recipients of the letters, by and large, would have been raised with this tradition. It would have been a shared belief that would not have been necessary to explain or comment on. I believe re-reading the quoted scriptures with this view of both the authors and the audience of the letters might lend a different interpretation.

Don't forget that the Souls in Purgatory are called "The Holy Dead" -- they WILL reach Heaven at some point; their salvation is assured. Their time in Purgatory is to permit them to achieve the purity that is required in order to be admitted to Heaven. Understand that sin isn't something that you stumble into; it's not something you step in like dog poop. It's an action that must be WILLFUL and KNOWLEDGEABLE -- you have to know it's sinful, and you have to freely choose to disobey G_D. Your sins may all be forgiven, covered by the Blood of Jesus. BUT WHAT OF YOUR WILL? You willfully chose to disobey G_D; therefore your will is corrupt. You may be forgiven of that sin, but what if the desire to sin is still in you? How can you be admitted into the pure and holy presence of G_D with a corrupt will? During life, a perfectly contrite heart can heal a corrupt will; but what if you should die before you are able to express perfect contrition?

(continued)

jim.carroll said...

(continued from above)

In Catholic theology, Purgatory is the final act of G_D's Mercy, a way to heal and be healed of that corruption of the will, those defects of love not given, that would prevent us from being totally able to accept His Love for all eternity.

Lisa, I think if you are honest you will admit that your description of "Catholics on a treadmill" is unjustified. I can tell you with absolute certainty that Catholicism does NOT teach "salvation by works." Are works necessary? Yes, because love that is not expressed is not love at all. But our works will not save us, and I challenge you to find ANY statement in the Catechism of the Catholic Church that tells us otherwise. This is not an option: you either believe me when I tell you, as a Catholic Christian who is knowlegable in his faith, what the Catholic Church teaches; or you must believe that I am lying. If you have been told by some minister or another that "this is what Catholics believe" and what he tells you is not what I tell you, you must either believe that what he says is true and what I say is a deliberate attempt to decieve you; or you must believe that I am being honest with you and he is gravely mistaken.

I cannot deny that there are some Catholics who believe in the treadmill. Proper catechesis in the Catholic Church has been almost non-existant in the past 40 years. This is not, however, a problem limited to Catholics. Scott Hahn is a former Presbyterian minister who converted to Catholicism. One event in his conversion story that has stayed with me was about how, as a Presbyterian minister, he was trying to comfort a grieving widow who was wracked with doubt: what if her late husband wasn't one of the souls chosen by G_D to be admitted into heaven? (Sidenote: To me, Calvinist theology can be summed up in a tee shirt I once saw. The front of the shirt said in bold letters, "I CHOSE THIS SHIRT". The back of the shirt said, "THIS SHIRT CHOSE ME".)

This is what I have to say on the matter. I delayed writing this for almost 3 weeks. I notice that during that time, there were practically no other posts on this site. In my mind, I believe G_D was holding back discussions on other things while trying to get me to apply butt to chair and actually get this thing written. Now it is done; let's see what G_D has planned.

No wonder the Presbyterian minister took a hike being under the authority of a Calvinist denomination. It would be disturbing to remain in that mindset.

We should all be continually seeking the Biblical truth no matter which Christian brand of religion we hold dear & I apply this personally as well.

Now Jim, you told me that I should admit envisioning "Catholics on a treadmill" is unjustified. Then you turned around & admitted that some Catholics do act like they are on a treadmill. (: Well, at least you're honest! To me who is free in Christ & under no additional burdens & obligations it "appears" treadmill-ish from my perspective. That's all. For some Catholics it may offer some type of structured security.

It might be kind of scary for some Christians to not have as many traditions & structure while mainly just following the Holy Spirit's direction. You're kind of out there walking & trusting in the Lord w/o a lot of set rules on how to do so.

I've met some Christians who can leave everything & just take off in service to The Lord traveling from one end of the country to the other preaching the Gospel. I really admire those who have that much faith & trust in God when they are called to do so. Quite inspiring.

Lisa, the difference between envisioning "Catholics on a treadmill" and admitting that some Catholics act like they're on a treadmill is the difference between what is taught (that there is no treadmill) and what is practiced. I see the treadmill Catholics as a different part of the same spectrum as those Evangelicals who claim to be saved Christians while there are still those in those Christian's cities who are hungry or without shelter. On one side you have the ones who keep acting out the love without experiencing it; on the other you have the ones who claim to have the love yet don't share it.

Jim C, Well ok that's another way to look @ it.

Just last night our Pastor was preaching almost the exact same message. He even quoted the same Isaiah 58:12 scripture & the Lord also shared w/him even now the rain (Holy Spirit) annointing is coming down in a fuller measure for those open to receive it.

The Final Great Awakening

Seems like there is a dual/parallel spirtual battle raging. Many of the Churches are going toward ecumenical full blown apostasy while The Lord is calling out all of His sheep and getting ready 4 the last call.

We'll see.

Now to something important! Roman Catholic Church calling for a One World Banking system. Vatican urges economic reforms, calls for 'Central World Bank'.

The beginning article was titled "VATICAN CALLS FOR CENTRAL WORLD BANK".

Now that is beyond conspiracy theory. Jimmy DeYoung has an article on it also at his Prophecy Today blog.

Borrowing from Jack Kelley, "you can almost hear His Footsteps now".

Grany, as soon as I read the first headline I started doing some research because I figured SOMEBODY would be making a deal out of this. Keep in mind that these are secular news organizations that don't spend a lot of time to spend on nuanced discussions. Some of the original news stories I read about this are outrageous. (You'd think that news organizations that totally misrepresented the Tea Party would be more careful in explaining a story about Christianity, wouldn't you? BTW, they've already changed the headlines on the link you provided, Grany. Now it reads "Vatican urges economic reforms, condemns collective greed")

For those who like their news fresh and natural instead of processed with lots of artificial colors and preservatives, here is a link to the English language translation of the document: Full Text: Note on financial reform from the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace. Note the author: "the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace." It's not by or from the Pope -- that would be an encyclical, and would be dealing with faith and/or morals. Instead, this is like any number of Congressional reports: it expresses a position, but it's not a definitive view. Instead, it's designed to provoke discussion prior to the upcoming G20 meeting. As one commentator put it, it's a "white paper." It's also written not specifically for Americans, but for a global audience. The members of the Council come from all parts of the globe, and many of them come from families that have experienced true hardship. The head of the Council, Cardinal Turkson, has himself been a refugee.

The document is long, and it is nuanced. If you would like a summary before you dig in, you can find a very good one at Fr. Mitchel Zimmerman's blog. There is also an excellent analysis on the "American Papist" blog, in the entry titled, Pope Benedict Calls For “Central World Bank” … Only He Didn’t. Here’s Why.. The author makes the following point:

I have nothing to immediately add to that, because the very authors of the document make clear how it should be evaluated: namely, as a “contribution” (as opposed to a mandate), as a “possible path” (as opposed to a moral proscription), in line with the Magisterium’s social teaching (as opposed to introducing a new teaching), without getting into the technical issues (because the Church is an expert in humanity, not economics) while fully staying within the Church’s religious and ethical functions.

Check out those essays; then if you have any questions, bring 'em.

Lisa, usually "Rome Reports" does a better job, but this time they really screwed up on the headline. The main thrust of the piece was that this was a display of Islamic calligraphic art from Turkey. Since the Vatican Museum is actually six or seven art museums displaying art from all over the world, it would not be out of place that they would have an exhibit of this style of art.

Also, here's a blue link to that Wilkinson article:

Jim, I saw all that at the Christ in Prophecy Facebook group. There's a particular individual there who used to comment at the Omega Letter and who seems to be running a crusade against everything Catholic and who is under the impression that all Catholics will go to hell. I had to restrain myself and am considering un-liking the group due to the amount of conspiratorial drivel people talk about there.

My mother considered herself to be a Catholic right to the end even where she recognized the Catholic Church was in error in so many places. It was the only church she had access to. Some people need to read John 3:16 without the limited atonement Calvinist blinkers. She loved the Lord and had faith in Him in ways I can only aspire to with much prayer.

Great Grany 5 said...

Thanks for the info Jim C. I did do some checking for it being drivel but most of the other sites said basically the same thing. Kinda made me go 'ummm' especially after reading the response Netanyahu made to Assad. Assad warned USA/EU that he would send missiles on Tel Aviv if any action was taken on Syria. Bibi responded with "and Damascus will be destroyed in a blink". That portends to Isaiah 17 and it rippled through me like an earthquake.
It is bothersome to see all of the cuddling taking place by various nations towards hostile Islamic nations. No matter who is doing it because it just keeps feeding their hunger for more blood of unbelievers in Islam.

Did any of you read the latest article on Rapture Ready from Terry James? It is about his experience with actually dying and having experienced something he has long disdained. Out of body experience and seeing heaven while doing so.

Gotta scoot because my brownies are about ready to call me to a get down and dirty feast.....'I'm coming to the place where resistance is very low.

P.S. I meant to use the words "sensationalist drivel". Some of the conspiracy theories do have some merit.

Yeah I read the Terry James piece. It's interesting how some people have serious doubts about testimonies of supernatural experiences until it happens to them. (: That seems to changs things quite a bit.

I've noticed sort of a little change over @ RR too. A few years ago you would practically get booted off the Forum if UFO's were even mentioned. (laugh laugh, conspiracy red flag, blah ....) but now they are allowing warning articles about it.

So it looks to me as if the Lord is softening up His people for what is coming. I've chatted w/a lady who's been in contact w/"Aliens" since she was 17 yrs old. It began w/being paralyzed & terrified. She's had various encounters her entire life & has taken actual pictures/vids of the orbs & things which come to visit her & still do. Unfortunately, she thinks they've done good things for her so she doesn't believe they are bad. I'm trying to set her up in contact w/Marzulli so pray for Jackie C. She seems like a sweet lady who's totally deceived. ):

False Messiahs, and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible even the elect. Matthew 24:24.

Look at this video & then image more of these types coming out of the woodwork. We can never discern goog from evil by "Feelings" or "Healings". The demonic can copy that too well for us to discern the difference. Bleed the Blood of Christ if you watch this false Messiah - He's really got some high demonic annointing.

Some Christians have been getting some insight on how this works. It's not that the actual power can be transferred though the "internet" but somehow if a person opens themselves up to accept it - the unseen demonic powers around that person have the authority to deceive them.

The antichrist will use the same methods

This is what we can anticipate more of in the future & you can see how difficult it would be to convince them otherwise.

I've seen some other films but not quite like this guy.

Great Grany 5 said...

Lisa,
you are right on about things changing at RR. But aren't we all about the same way in our ways? I think back to the 1990 elections and how I was determined that Wild Billy Clinton could be shaped into a great president. I forgot about his pandering ways and had really dismissed most of the stories but I knew for a fact that they were true.
I lived in Ft. Smith, AR and had since 1973. Was well acquainted with the Democratic leaders of the community due to my job. Personally acquainted with Wild Billy and his close circle of friends in the area. Not being greatly impressed, and regarded as Miss Goodie Two Shoes, I was the sounding board for a lot of Wild Billy's former friends as they fell out of grace with his Jez girl friend. His Jez girlfriend became his wife later on. But all of that began in the early 1970's and lasted until his personal grooming by very high Sponsors in government affairs.
Not until I had a very real incident did I really see the light about Wild Billy. He rightly deserved the name, by the way.
Experiencing the truth can be a loathsome phase of life but I believe Terry James is just getting started on his personal encounter of the Real Kind with Jesus Christ. But more importantly, he will come to understand with his heart the real meaning of Jesus' words when HE said "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" and then left.
For the life of me I cannot understand why it is so hard to realize that the Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ himself, living, breathing, leading, encouraging, sustaining and most of all, enabling all of us as true Believers. Without Him daily in our life, we have to take the attacks of our adversary.
I have been there and I know the difference the indwelling of Him vs the struggle by my own power to overcome evil.
The world cannot take away what Abba Father has revealed and brought us through. Before the Good Ole Gospel Ship goes sailing back to it's heavenly moorings, we will all know BIG TIME the real anointing and Holy Spirit filling like as in Joel and Peter foretold in Acts 2. Joel 2:28 thru 32 also tells of a great infilling but with that, I will leave this subject alone until it is God's time.
I sure would love to read Terry's newest book about heaven and hopefully, it will be available on Kindle.

BTW - Jackie did email Marzulli & he's been doing a great job witnessing to her about what's going on in her life. Of course the enemy is going to hold her back w/every thing they've got & last night she had a new experience. For the 1st time her soul actually left her body & went to her window & looked out. Then snapped back into place.

He's the perfect guy for this though - you should read "his" testimony. This is Wild supernatural stuff most Christians don't have a clue about unless they came from a New Age / Occult background.

If we don't get raptured fairly soon we'd be better off having a clue about it though. Seems like the masses are falling for this stuff in various forms & there may not be enough Christians up-to- speed to help them out of it. It really helps to understand their language & what they are going though.

a few requests if you all would

my sister in law's nephew is going out for his 4th deployment only this time not to Kuwait but Afghanistan. He does not know the Lord. Pray for Dustin.

some friends of ours have discovered that their teenage daughter is running amok. they thought they had her pretty well supervised but they have discovered the reason chastity belts and high towers were all the rage back in the day, the more strictures they place on her the more sneaking around she does and the more latitude they give her she goes way beyond. they are in a quandary and all trust is gone on their part.

I have a friend request on facebook that I am not sure what to do with-my young black sheep cousin has decided she wants to friend me. I am way older of course and she is who knows? supposedly she has multiple personality disorder, drug and etoh abuse and multiple kids by different fathers. sigh. how do they always find me.

I feel so much better being able to come together in agreement with all of you for these requests you just don't know

Great Grany 5 said...

JIB,
praying for Dustin, asking Abba to keep him safe and concealed at all times. Also, praying for Chastity-less. Now that one is going to be rather difficult. Her will and flesh have the upper hand. But you know, God knows just the right manner of persuasion.

Also, your relative's request. Thinking of all the times I have had unknown family members seemingly pop up, I can understand your situation. But each time it happened to me, it became a golden opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ with them. It could be a simple thing of the Holy Spirit leading them to you but I have often wondered 'why Lord, why???'.

Late Night Lisa said...

Jib, my wacky 1/2 sisters contacted me on FB too. I accepted their requests knowing their attitude & backgrounds.

I accepted a be-friend request from a guy who drives me nuts w/his posts. He thinks of himself as a "misfit" & has a misfit following. He makes some interesting posts but overall these people delight in wickedness.
(I make some comments once in a while they probably don't love pointing them to Christ.)

I was at the verge of unfriending him last week & trying to figure out how to do it but wasn't completely confident it was the right thing to do. Some of his links/posts literally "vex" my spirit. And who wants my friends reading his crap on top of it.

Well, just at that point I felt led to contact a lady who wrote an article he posted on her supernatural UFO experiences.

Turns out that is Jackie C., who I previously mentioned & it looks like she's starting to go the right direction. Please keep praying for her. Marzulli & I have been pointing her to Yeshua & to renounce these beings as they are evil & not the good guys she's been led to believe.

So all that to say - it's a good thing I didn't de-friend this guy because I would have never read her article otherwise. There are people in even the worst of situations that The Lord is going to pull out & set free.

We will just never understand God's ways ~ they are sure not what we think they should be on so many levels.

Been reading at the suggested sites and I soooooo appreciate your sharing them with all of us. I like Dr. Walvoord's works on most subjects too. Sometimes his supportive info is a little too much for my initial use but in the long run, it sure builds a sure foundation.

Also, have E. W. Bullinger's online link that you shared and I am either learning so very much or taking remedial reading but I am sure joyful about it all. Grab a cup of Joe, head to the computer and before I know it, the Joe is cold, the morning is gone and it is time for the chief cook and bottle washer to come up with something nourishing for DJH.

My food intake is suffering greatly but I guess that is what all my fat was accumulated for. Besides that, did you know that Abba daddy loves fat bones? "Is. 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."

Found THIS ARTICLE very interesting from Washington Times.

When I heard the first rumor about Mr. Cain and the word harassment was used against him, I didn't put much stock in it. After all, it is politics as usual. Then the liberal media started doing their tap dance almost on the hour, and I started watching Animal Planet. But this article I just posted a link to gave me an ah ha response and it makes perfect sense. Rahm Emanuel makes perfect "skunk speak" bullseye.

Chicago politics got us BOO HOO but CP ISN'T going to run this Loooonnnnnggggg election season for me. Dis and dat can't cut this time. Time to go to work to get rid of dis present administration.

Great Grany 5 said...

Sorry about my political rant but I am so unexcited about having to endure a whole year of this mess. Let me be perfectly frank with all of you.
My childhood took place in the early 1930's, labor unions were just getting some form of organization, money was very scarce, shoes sold very well when anyone could afford them, hand-me- downs were golden treasures to the people who were fortunate enough to get them and soap was cheap. We washed our clothes on Monday, enmass but all during the week we did hand washing.
Radio was the only outside manner of keeping up with daily world events as papers were a luxury to most. Electricity was conserved by the use of kerosene lamps, candles were mostly made at home and hot water was only available by way of teakettle and at bath time. Most homes were heated by rather crude means of wood, coal and a little heating oil. Windows in the winter were covered with a plastic type material (not really plastic yet) called Plexoglas and politics, religion were not discussed in polite gatherings.
I truly do remember the campaigns of (now get this) Franklin Delono Roosevelt (1933-1945), Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, The Tooth Prince from Georgia, Ronald Reagan, Geo. H.W.Bush, Slick Wild Billy from Arkansas, George W. Bush, and the biggest BOO HOO ever. I have seen, in person, up close and right in front of me, all of them except Carter. Reagan, the two Bushes and Boo Hoo.
If I had to put them all in a hat and draw my favorite one, the ones I would leave out would be Nixon, Carter and BHO. We survived because we didn't have to hear every word that broke out of their mouth, day in and day out.
But this last one, would even sicken my precious mother. I was raised in a very strong family of Democrats to the point that when Eisenhower won, my grandfather stored up flour so we could at least have a source of bread and then he taught all of us how to make bread.
But I am not a Democrat any longer. Changed that classification this past Monday and oh, what a relief it is.
Bring on the contest, but make it truthful if you please.

Late Night Lisa said...

My parents were total Republicans but I've been surrounded by Democrates my entire life. I guess they tolerated me ok since they still speak to me ~ lol!

Grany, do you think they made it harder to preach Christ when "religion" was off limits in polite conversations? I hardly heard a word about it growing up for that reason. My parents wouldn't talk about it & even their close friends who were Presby Christians wouldn't tell them about Christ.

They got together often but religion was never mentioned.

Even my Grandma who taught Sunday school class didn't talk to me about Jesus. I mean - what's up with that?! Do you think our Catholic friends next door said anything? Nope. My best friends Catholic parents? Nope.

That is MESSED UP! No wonder I can't keep my yapper shut now.

Actually, the only people who would teach me anything about God @ that time were the Nuns @ the Convent up the street & one of our house maids who was a Jehovah's Witness.

Now it's OK to talk about religion & spirituality as long as every brand is accepted as being a valid path to God.

I guess it's obvious who is the ruler of this world's paradigm.

Great Grany 5 said...

Lisa,
I kinda think that the stage was set when there became so many fractures in the Protestant churches. Just in my own family (on mother's side)there were Jehovah Witness (very early beginnings then), Amish, Catholic, Jewish, and non-believers. So, rather than have disputes and confrontations the subject was off limits. Same with politics.
But, we talked freely about it at home with mother, brothers, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
One thing different that I believe was the pivotal point in all of it was all of my years in the educational system we began each and everyday with prayer and the pledge of allegiance. Not just as one little group but the whole school gathered in was was called "General Assembly".
Then most of the individual classrooms began with prayer. You have to remember that we were a very humble nation at that time, money was not king, wasn't even looked up to because no one had any to speak of. We were all reduced to the bare essentials and I mean bare!!!!
The depression, then the war and after the war to end all wars (WWI) the No.2 was anything other than wooden guns and a lot of determination. Prior to the USA entering the 2nd WW, horses were used as the main means of movement, especially in training situations. But the important part was the attitude in Washington, DC towards the military of any designation. Only by 1 vote did the USA even keep our military alive. By one vote!
So, prayer and Wings were the only hope we had and believe me, not many doubters were brave enough to utter any foolishness about prayers being offered up in public. If a family didn't attend church then they were considered pretty low life or as the term went, Crumbs.
No one wanted to be called a Crumb and very few families failed to attend and be members of a local church.
The scriptures were preached, hell was discussed but the main point was, Jesus was openly and enthusiastically shared, proclaimed and celebrated. Happy Holidays was something people too good to be considered a Christian would say.
My mother lived to be 83 years old and all of the years of her life she saved every birthday, Christmas, holiday and bereavement card and they all had some reference to Jesus Christ, church or God on them. It was not a hidden subject with family but when church started it was Katie bar the door because hell, fire and brimstone was preached along with how much God loves the Whole World and sent all of us a sin offering for our sins.
So, Political Correctness was not even considered because generally most people didn't have much regard for politicians of any sort. Remember, it was the Great Depression that happened because of failure on the part of Wall Street and Politics. The roaring 20's had just been the life style, prohabition was ending and credit was fast and loose. During those days, women's sufferage took place all over the USA but there was very little change in attitudes about riotous living. The week to week living expenses were completely out of hand and the era was one of prosperity for a goodly portion of the nation. During the 20's the divide between God and Flesh became greater and greater.
A nation that began as a haven for free worship of Jesus Christ was now worshiping at the pig sty and life was a wild adventure.
Did the roaring 20's bring on the judgment of God or did the taste of the wild side cool the desire for righteousness in man?
Have we more or less traveled the same road to get to where we are right now? Those are questions that each one of us have to answer for ourself. When I leave this world none can come with me and the same holds true when I finally get to see Jesus face to face, heart to heart and answer.

Grany, normally you WOULDN'T get a quake where you live, according to standard seismic theories. However, I remember reading about two years ago how the Oklahoma's State Geologist's office started setting up these inexpensive seismic stations all around the state, in schools, people's basements, etc. They use the same mechanisms that sense when you've dropped your laptop and will lock up the hard drive, and they piggyback off the volunteer's broadband connection to send their data. Using this system they've collected tons of data that normally would have cost tons of money to gather, and they've discovered many, many small faults that they had no idea existed.

IF I remember correctly, these small faults tend to run west-east, and generally point toward the main faults in New Madrid. The implication is that a major quake in the New Madrid could set off sympathetic quakes along this series of small faults. I know this did not happen during the 6.6 quake that happened on Oct. 31, 1895, but there's no way of knowing if it happened during the big quakes of 1811-12, which were between 8.0 and 8.2.

Jim C.,
The data on earthquakes in Oklahoma go back to when it was called Indian Territory and in 1905 there was a major earthquake that held the record until last night. It measured 5.5 on the Richter Scale, per the USGS report on CNN this morning. Also, the fault has been pretty active for the last 3 years with 1047 earthquake events in 2010. Kinda draw a line from the site in Guy, Arkansas to Prague, OK and you can get a picture of one other fault that seems to be gaining a lot of attention recently.

You started me off on this digging for quaking and Jim, DJH is now starting to dig with me. Our whole area through this portion of Oklahoma into Arkansas is a rich deposit of surface coal and strip mines were the driving force of the economy for a long time prior to 1970's. In fact, the company that I used to work for in Arkansas owned and operated the strip mine that was located right behind our house.

JOYCE, I did kinda feel like a Martini when the shaking stopped and one might have helped a NORMAL person. However, I slept like a baby and not one minute of any kind of trauma. It was kinda fun in fact.

Had another one this morning but too slight for us to feel it.

By the way, have any of you been keeping up with the actions of Israel-vs-Iran lately. DebkaFile has really been active today.

Could be a whole lot of action this week if it keeps on with the taunts of Iran.

By the way, the USGS agency has installed their own elaborate seismograph in Oklahoma and according to the report that the University of Oklahoma has, it is the one that upgraded the earthquake Saturday to 5.6. It beat the old reacord of 5.5.
The fault is very well noted on geological maps that my DJH has had since the 1960's. In fact, there are numerous faults noted on that map. You might be able to access some of the detail on the maps that OU has on file.
Ground water studies have shown all of the details for quite some time.

I will be traveling with my daughter either tomorrow evening or early Wednesday and won't be back until the middle of next week. We are going to go to northern Missouri to see my son, grandson and family, plus friends. It will be a fast trip as my daughter has some business interest in KC and we are going to make the trip more productive in several ways.

You all hold the fort and don't forget to keep track of Israel. I have received several prayer requests from different groups in Israel and they need our prayer coverage greatly. For wisdom and discernment for the people in high offices to make sure they are in the perfect will of God as regards Persia, Syria and Abbas.

Have a wonderful week and as the signs get closer together, seek each other out for encouragement and strength.

Thank you Donna; I am really looking forward to some prime time with my precious daughter.

This morning I woke up to the sound of wonderful rain and it just really relaxed me. Then I started thinking about all that we have experienced in just this year of 2011. Seems like I am becoming more and more focused on my precious Abba than ever before. There are very few things that have my full attention but for some reason, He has no problem keeping my focus pinpointed on HIM.
I don't feel religious in the least but I do know that HE is ever present, all of the time now. It makes me feel very small but I am so thankful for His great love and peace. Especially the last few months.
Anyone else doing the same thing? I keep wondering if I am getting ready for Homegoing. I sure hope so! For all of us.

Take care my wonderful friends and if it is the Homegoing, see ya all at the Cafe for Latte.

Endtimes, are you still out there keeping us in the radar? I know the name of your blog is Caffeine Journal but I like the above name for some reason or other.

jim.carroll said...

Grany, the 11-11-11 thing has been brewing for the past couple of years. People have been reporting seeing "11" suddenly in all sorts of places, usually clocks. They'll check the time and realize it's 11:something, or they'll wake up at 3:11AM, stuff like that. So in mystical circles, 11 has become to be a significant number, but no one can say why.

In Biblical Numerology, "11" represents disorder and judgement. Here are some links if you're interested:

Whew! Just got home from a fast trip to see my kids, grandchildren and friends in northern Missouri.
We made a side trip to Joplin, MO on the way home and people, it is so sad in some way but the attitude of the residents was great. Also, lots of volunteers helping people to get their shelters built for the coming winter. The rebuilding is moving right along and they will come back stronger and better than ever.
Really inspired my daughter and I. This country has, for the most part, great and wonderful people but for some strange reason the news media pays little attention to that fact.
We had a great time on our trip and you cannot imagine the hunger my daughter and I encountered as regards God, His Word and what is happening. Lots of opportunities to remind people of God's great love for all of us and also that the Signs are all beginning to take place right before our eyes.
Especially the young people. Young parents that had once loved God and turned the other way are now wanting to know what it all means. They know beyond any doubt that what they are experiencing is not the usual thing.
We got the opportunity to share God's love with most of them and people, they want to know from God's word and not the media. In fact, I would venture a guess that the media is loosing the battle in this fight and most of the ones we talked with are sick of the misrepresentation going on by way of ABC, CBS,CNN, HLN, NBC, MSNBC (especially)plus the likes of Reuters, BBC, and The History Chanel.
My prayers are focused on God removing the scales from their eyes before it is too late.
Good to be home and yet I really wanted to stay longer just to be part of the in-gathering.
Good to be back on the Internet again though.

Here is something that I had never considered before, and I think you'll all find interesting:

A Visit To Israel: The Mystery Pit Where Jesus May Have Been Kept And Spot That's Perhaps The Holiest Place On Face Of The Earth

The biggest surprise of the trip was a place, betraying my ignorance, I didn't even know existed: the pit or dungeon where Jesus was lowered the night before He was crucified. ... When one of our pilgrims read the scriptural reading in this cave-prison, the words resonated against those intimidating walls in a way I have never experienced before -- filled with a unique force. ...

It added an entirely new dimension to the suffering of the Lord. Imagine being in a dark underground cave that is so tall no one could escape and is pervaded with the odors of sweat and death and excrement. They lowered Him with a rope and no doubt many of those they dragged back up were corpses.

This is how He spent His time after sweating Blood and before His scourging and Crucifixion. Read Psalm 88 to see if it was foreseen. Is it an untold agony? ("Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps...)

I like to think of this photo as proof of how G_D's goodness triumphs even when humans see only despair. To quote the accompanying text:

Spiders ran to the trees of Pakistan last year to escape the epic flooding. After the webs were spun the trees looked like cotton candy...Bonus: With all the standing water, which took months to dry, a pestilence of mosquitoes was expected...but the spiders ate them all. Jim C, Never gave thought to "The Pit" & the Pakistan tree story is great too!

Great Grany 5 said...

That pit was part of one of my first visits to Israel and it was very sobbering. Our whole group got to decend into that dark, damp and dismal hole; not many people came out with smiles on their faces. To think that the very Son of God/Son of Man went through such terrible treatment for all of us just really changed my attitude big time. If memory serves me corrrectly, the pit was located under Caiaphas' house.
That reminds me that the tomb of King David is under the building that the Last Supper was held in. I believe the gathering of all the believers in Jerusalem, waiting for the gift that Jesus would ascend to God for, was located in the upper room also. Or at least that is what "Tradition" says.
I kinda doubt it because most of the original town had to be rebuilt from ruins but again, Tradition. A lot of what is believed today comes from Tradition passed down from Centuries. Right or wrong, we will find out very soon.

All of you have a great week and I believe it is going to be wonderful.

GOOD INFO

jim.carroll said...

Today (Nov. 22) is the feast of Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J. Father Pro was a priest in Mexico during the Cristero War (1926 to 1929). It was at this time that being a Catholic in Mexico (or at least practicing your faith) was illegal. (As a side note, Protestants were not attacked or threatened, but then, none of them that I can find stood up against the persecutors.) Fr. Pro worked in the underground church, nourishing the faith of the people. He was captured, along with his brothers, in 1927. They were all sentenced without trial to be executed.

You can find an excellent biography of Bl. Pro here on the Guard Duty blog. You'll also see a photo of Bl. Pro taken just moments before his execution. The general in charge wanted to show what cowards these Catholics were, so he invited the press and photographers to witness the executions. Fr. Pro was the first to be taken out. When the time came, he refused a blindfold, held out his arms in the form of a cross, and proclaimed the slogan of the Cristeros: Viva Cristo Rey! (Long live Christ the King!)

It's so easy to believe that we in America are immune to real persecution. Yet, here people were being killed for their faith just on the other side of our border. It didn't start overnight, but when it came, it came quickly, like a storm. When our time comes, I hope we can look to the example of Bl. Miguel Pro.

Viva Cristo Rey!

What kind of a sicko does such things in today's world. I also read some comments a chat board and they have discounted the story also.
Thank God for the truth but ya know, I don't put it past the present administration to do such a dumb thing. I say dumb because that is exactly what it would be. Sitting in a bunker calmly waiting for the real battle gets easier with growing old. Odd what one can find to do during the wait.

Anyway the headlines at DF is "US CARRIER STRIKE FORCE ENTERS SYRIAN WATERS. RUSSIAN CARRIER EN ROUTE". According to the article, the USS George H. W. Bush arrived Nov. 23rd.
However the article at Naval Times is dated on Nov. 25th, 2011. I trust Debka more than I do anyone else. But why the misinformation?

jim.carroll said...

Grany, Shalom, and Happy Advent! I've been going over the sources you quoted, and doing as much research as I can on materials that don't require a subscription. Here's the original URL you tried to link to: USS George H.W. Bush Arrives in Marseille, France. This report is dated Nov. 25. I found some other reports, all from Naval Today:

Aircraft Carrier USS George H.W. Bush Arrives in US 6th Fleet. dated Nov. 22.

USS Mitscher Arrives in Lisbon, Portugal, dated Nov. 24.

USS Anzio Visits Palma de Mallorca, dated Nov. 27 (today). Palma de Mallorca, BTW, is an island in the Mediterranean, off the eastern coast of Spain.

Then there is this report from Debkafile, dated Nov. 26: US carrier strike force enters Syrian waters. Russian carrier en route

All in all, this can be summed up in three words:

This is bad.

The report on the 22nd show that the USS George H.W. Bush left the 5th fleet AOR (Area of Responsibility), which is at the entrance to the Straits of Hormuz and has moved to the 6th Fleet AOR, which is the Mediterranean. The USS Mitscher and the USS Anzio are both assigned to the USS George H.W. Bush carrier support group, meaning where the Bush goes they go. Both the Mitscher and the Anzio are guided-missile destroyers.

To me, all four of the Naval Today reports read like press releases, made up ahead of time and sent to be published over the Thanksgiving weekend. If there are any major changes over the weekend, corrections can be put out; otherwise, officially everything is quiet, nothing to see, move along, folks.

The Debka report and the ZeroHedge report have the feel of someone closer to the action, that isn't writing on a holiday weekend deadline. The embassy in Damascus IS urging people to leave Syria ASAP if not sooner, and it would not be the first time that US Naval forces have been used to pull US Citizens out of harms way. What seems to be escaping everyone's notice is that Syria, Iran, and Russia all signed a mutual defense treaty about three years ago. An attack on one is an attack on all. That's why the Russian Navy is moving assets into place.

I don't think the worry is the US attacking Syria. Libya may have worked (after 5 months and numerous dead Libyans), but even if the Arab League specifically asks for a no-fly zone, etc. over Syria, I don't think we're going to do it. If we DO institute a no-fly zone, that is the aerial equivalent of a naval blockade, which is a de facto act of war. The mutual-defense treaty means that if we do that, we are almost certain to become involved in a shooting war with the Russians.

No, I think the worry is Israel attacking Gaza or Lebanon. If the Israelis get uppity about defending their borders and their people against missile attacks, that could upset the whole applecart. Assad knows that, so does Ahmadinejad. My worry is that one or the other will send an order to their minions in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and/or the West Bank to start launching the missiles. That will provide a distraction to the whole Syrian thing. Once Israel counterattacks, Syria can call on the mutual defense treaty to retaliate against Israel. Iran will join, Russia won't. We may not have a mutual defense treaty with Israel but Russia won't try to force our hand.

Found out last night that "Naval Today" is a trade publication. Most if not all of their information comes from press releases. No interviews or anything like that. That confirms my suspicion that the articles from there are press releases that were written and released a week ago, and not official US Navy statements of present ship deployments.

Still and all, it does make for some interesting disinformation to feed the Syrian intelligence services, doesn't it?

I did some checking on that link that Debka sent me and it originates from Russia. Thus RT, the name of the site owner. Or at least, it is what came back to me from the URL check/country of origin.
You have probably guessed what my next question will be. "Why is Debka File using Russian web sites when they are notorious for misinformation?".
Also, hasn't the USS GHWB been a part of the 6th fleet for some time now? I will get that info later but for now, I am concentrating on other matters.
The earthquakes have started back up again but not with the same degree of power as before. I am just curious as to how much activity has been taking place and has the epicenter changed in any degree. DJH is going to check it out for me because of possible damage if they increase in strength and rapidity.

jim.carroll said...

Grany, RT is a Russian television network based in Washington, DC. (Check out RT.com) They started with Russian-language broadcasts aimed at the Russian-speaking market in America; now they have news and documentary services around the world in Russian, English, Spanish, and Arabic. I can't deny that they have a pro-Russian slant; but I can't say that I automatically discount what they say just because of that. They are NOT Pravda or Isvestya -- I am suspicious of any news from either of those sources. Knowing Debka, they did not go with the story until it was confirmed by an outside source. So I think was can trust RT in this matter.

As for the earthquakes, just mix some vodka, gin, and ice in a mixer and leave it on the ground. The next time one comes through, you'll have a vodka martini, shaken, not stirred, just waiting for you.

a doctor friend more or less was killed in a tragic accident which might have been suicide by car. He was apparently a devout Catholic who whose life had gone horribly haywire. He is actually still "alive" in that he is on a ventilator but has massive sever head injury, chest injury, all arms and legs etc. his ex left him for another woman, his ex lets their kids run wild and just buys stuff for them so they pretty much cast off dad who made them do things like go to school etc. (wonder how she is actually going to like having to be the full time custodial parent and not the "fun" parent) and apparently his girlfriend left him also. he was having some financial issues also. pray for all involved. this is yet another death/tragedy for our facility.

I have another DR friend who could be suicidal for business reasons also. He has knowledge of God and has studied much but it doesn't seem to have penetrated his heart for a real faith in place of knowledge. pray for Don.

Vatican Cardinal Burke: ‘We’re well on the way’ to Christian persecution in the U.S.

One of the highest ranking cardinals in the Vatican has said that the United States is “well on the way” to the persecution of Christians.

Cardinal Raymond Burke, former Archbishop of St. Louis and now the head of the Vatican’s highest court, told Catholic News Agency that he could envision a time when the Catholic Church in the U.S., “even by announcing her own teaching,” is accused of “engaging in illegal activity, for instance, in its teaching on human sexuality.”

Asked if the cardinal could even see American Catholics being arrested for their faith he replied, “I can see it happening, yes.”

Grany, I occasionally get involved in Facebook discussions but it's a bit like trying to have a conversation in a crowded room. It also seems like some are addicted to it given their prolific postings.

Late Night Lisa said...

Jib, I just posted 2days ago on L.A.'s blog about the "spirit of Suicide" going rampant now. Lucifer was even after my 10yr old daughter w/this last month.

Here is a word from our Pastor last night. Of course it's been put into my own words. Not quote unquote.

I was responding on The Watchman's blog in regards to the new "3rd Way" Newt Gingrich & global conscienceness "shift" stuff.

Our Pastor was mentioning this as well last night @ Bible study. They realize there is one group of people who will not fully submit to this proposed new way. The real Christians.

But rather than spending too much energy on the evil depth of this up & coming Planetary Consciousness shift - Our Pastor has been in prayer (as one would expect) & what The Lord has been telling him is that He is coming soon but right now the Body of Christ is not ready.

We are starting in Mark & just as in his day John the Baptist was "preparing the way" for the 1st coming of the Lord ~ we need to prepare our hearts & minds in the 2nd coming of the Lord. We are the generation ~ can you believe it? Of all the times we could have been born ~ wow!

That means repentance, holiness, & The Lord breaking the strongholds of sin in our lives. We need to dig in deep w/God & submit to the will of the Holy Spirit. He is coming for a Bride who is prepared & ready to meet Him. Who will receive a radiant & radiating gown of light shining w/the Holy glory of God. (He had a vision of this.) The Lord says "The Bride is Not Ready". 2012 will be a time of Christians preparing to meet their Bridegroom as this world is preparing "It's Way" for the coming of the Anti-Christ.

Certainly caught my attention! 2012 = "Preparation".

John the Baptist prepared the way of the Lord in his day & The Holy Spirit will prepare the way of the Lord in the lives of His people in our day. Look to being prepared - close to God w/a full oil lamp. Don't allow anything to distract you.

My prayers are with your two doctors. What a terrible thing to happen to anyone but especially fathers and mothers. Will also keep the children in prayer.
I am considering using Google+ instead of Facebook because the security seems to be greater and I don't get all the nuts out of the cookies wanting to be my friend. Now please don't get me wrong; I love my friends but I don't welcome the strangers who have a hidden agenda with women. In one week I had over 20 requests from men that listed their occupation as OTR truckers and I have no earthly idea who they are. That is about the time my account was hacked. But according to FB, that one came out of China.
Maybe I missed a chance to go steady, who knows.
My DJH seems to be agreeing with you JIM C. As we were watching the news the other night, an article came up for discussion on the news channel and what was said pretty much summed it all up. Believe what you like, who you like but keep it to yourself. When DJH heard that it caused him to react like I have never heard him before.
I think the remark was in response to the lack of our president mentioning God in his Thanksgiving address.
But hey, at the end of the last page of the last chapter of God's Holy Word, WE WIN!

It was really good to see others comments this morning. I miss all of you wonderful people and I just have this gut feeling we are getting very, very, very close to the final chapter of man's screwing up the world.

Less and less I like Facebook. I was a little ticked off at some comments made by a couple of individuals at CIP in relation to Catholics and salvation. I disagree with a lot of RCC doctrines but I think some people should just recite John 3:16 every hour on the hour!

BTW, Jack Kinsella just received a bunch of e-mails telling him he is a false prophet because he's pretrib. They found out that he is attending next week's pretrib research center conference so they sent him a link to a prewrath site (one that I'm very familiar with)to set him straight.

That was very thoughtful of them.

New post is up.
