If you've never heard this broadcast, you really should. It is amazing because a miracle was actually caught on tape.

Just a thought but maybe you could do something on the Lamb of God. There's so much that could tie into that topic. Passover, Good Friday, Easter (or Resurrection Sunday if you prefer), Lisa's recent post regarding some Jews in Israel preparing for the first sacrafice of a lamb in a very long time, and so much more.
Maybe use the verse from the Gospel of John that says:
Jesus the Lamb of God
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

I've listened to it numerous times and it still moves me every time.
I find the perfect timing as much a part of the miracle as the healing. I mean, a skeptic might try to say, "Well, his body just healed naturally."
To which I would say, how do you explain:
That the teaching was the only Sunday school class that records in that church.
That the curriculum was pre-chosen.
That God healed him on the very word in Psalm 103 that made it so meaningful.
Not to mention that he had been without a voice for 3 years.

A Soul-searching Re-entry
So the day after my Quechua journeys, I find on my coffee table the January edition of Relevant Magazine, which I have enjoyed over the years. As I browsed through it, with its prophetic insights into the next decade and it’s suggestions for 2010, I was struck by the recurring themes of self-improvement, social justice, and “making the world a better place.” Having just come from a place intertwined with extreme poverty and infectious joy, my heart and head both began to spin…only gone one week, this has been my most challenging reentry.
I want to be sensitive in light of Haiti here, but as followers of Jesus, are we getting so caught up in making the world a “better place” that we are forgetting the Biblical reality that Jesus did not come first to make the world a better place but to prepare people for a better place…?
The church of Jesus needs to be in Haiti…immediately and in full measure. Jesus calls us all to hunger and thirst after a righteousness that exists on three levels- positional right standing in Christ, an ongoing growth in righteousness and purity, and for seeing right done in our culture and world. Matthew 25 physical relief is a mandate and social justice is biblical, but without its gospel purpose and roots, it could become the biggest religious rabbit trail the church of Jesus has ever been down… and we have been down a few.
If my ministry travels to remote Colombia and Peru are marking me in any way, it’s in the redefining of “rich.” I now better understand “rich towards God.” I’m hungry for what I see among them and experience when I am with them. It is coming from embracing the Cross, not self-improvement…in freeing people from sin, not bettering society… and from looking expectantly above, not just making the world a better place. Let’s keep in mind, “heaven and earth will pass away.” Ironically though, as Jesus and Paul experienced, the embracing of these values were the very keys to societal shifts that we hunger for today.
I hope I’m not sounding the crusty old pastor. My reentry has just been quite a reality check. It’s more than cow’s stomach soup and scorpions in $7/night hotels compared to my home and well-stocked fridge. Its Quechua baptismal testimonies, transformed lives, and redefining “the normal Christian life.” And as we more passionately pursue “making the world a better place”, I am concerned. I just fear we could lose the gospel in our pursuit of good works- two things Jesus totally tied together for his Kingdom advance: “Let your light so shine before men that they see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Our good works are not just to improve quality of life but to light the darkness and glorify the One who sends us, that others might know His life and love…
Here’s a simple equation that jumped in my mind today:
good works – good news = great loss/ no eternal gain.
So today I am personally reaffirming that the biggest problem on our planet is not global warming or natural disasters…its not human trafficking or child soldiers…it’s what it always has been…sin. I reaffirm the only power still able to change the human heart is the love of God. I reaffirm peoples and nations still change one heart at a time, and that our calling is to establish in every culture the only thing that Jesus promised to build…His church. It is still the hope of the world.
As Jesus and Paul went forward, confident that their word and work would ultimately transform cities and cultures, this is where they put their hope…
January 2010, do we?
It is what they sacrificed their very lives for.
January 2010, will we?
And at the end of the day, are we still building what He is building? What “gospel” is the world hearing from His church today?

I always hear what a culture shock it is to come back after ministering to people who live simple lives & are not wrapped up in this materialistic driven & deceived society.
Think of the eye of the camel parable .Look how tough it is to reason with people that they need the Lord. Then even those who go to Church and are attracted by the Lord are still spiritually deadened by the cares of this society and the distractions therein.
That GMO ministry I'm involved with is such a joy. At least I can see with my eyes-(albeit typed words)- some people who hunger & thirst after righteousness. And there are quite a few from the U.S. committing & rededicating their lives- most of them under the age of 25. The younger generation is really responding to the internet ministries. I guess that's no surprise given the fact I see them texting 24/7 out in public.
Last night- Kahlid - from the Middle East came back to talk with me. I have not heard from him in months- last visit- he was trying his hardest to convert me to Islam.
He is beyond perplexed why I could know about Islam yet not be convinced that it's the way to go.
So he came with all of his objections to Christianity- he was told we had 7 Bibles. (Translations- I think) And then came up w/some quotes from the Quran that "the earth was a sphere" and "the lowest part of the earth = dead sea" and some other scientific proofs that his holy book was divinely inspired.
It was hysterical! He thought he had me! At the end he said "sorry" as if my bubble was to have burst over his stated facts.
Anyway- I responded in kind and told him that next I will show him the inconsistencies in the Quran when he replies again.
So if you can help me out and lift Kahlid up in prayer to the Lord. If he was hopeless- he wouldn't have come back & responded again. There must be something stirring in his heart.

This is Jenny and I hope all are doing well.
We have had some interesting developments in East Texas as of late. We have had 6 church burnings in our area this month. One was in one of our satellite churches about an hour from us. It was arson and that happened last Monday night. There was also 3 other church arsons in that particular community this month. Now we have had two more church burnings in our city in the last two nights. The last two are suspected arson.
Wow, what is going on???
Does anyone else have a problem with church burnings or heard of any in other states?? Could be isolated for this area. But spiritual warfare nonetheless.
Of course we all know the building is not the real church....we are. They can take or burn the churches away, take Jesus' words out of public school and places and make the Bible's messages a hate crime.....but they can not silence the One and Only, the True Lord, El Roi, Adonai, El Kana, Jehovah Jireh, Elohim, El Shaddai!!!!
This is food for thought on what could happen across the US in times of tribulation. Very weird feelings after all of this. The kind that make you go hmmmmmm.
Praying for our churches and more importantly for the courage and strength of the people in them. Stand firm on the Rock. The bumpy ride has begun ...at least for us in East Texas.

Lisa, Shalom! RE: Kalid, with the 7 bibles, he may be referring to languages. Whereas the Koran is written in one language -- classical Arabic -- the Bible has texts in Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, Syriac, etc.
As for things to bring up, here's something from "Test Your Palestine IQ Part 1": The Jewish claim to the Holy Land is that God promised it to them. Moses – the Jewish national leader – is quoted as saying: “O my people! Remember the bounty of God upon you ... and gave you that which had not been given to anyone before you amongst the nations. O my people! Enter the Holy Land which God has decreed for you”. This speech of Moses is recorded in the Koran, in Sura 5:20-21. How can Islam claim the land of Israel when the Koran itself says that it belongs to the people of Israel?
Also, check out Father Zakaria. If you click on the "Books" link, you get a page where he has different "books" (computer files), most taken from his TV show, that cover a multitude of issues. I'm looking at "Is the Qouran the God's Words?", and it's got some great information about different versions of the Koran (between 3 and 31), and the differences in the text in those versions. Part of the differences involve different endings in some of the words, as well as differences in "speckling" -- the dots and signs (jots and tittles) that indicate vowels or pronunciation, which change the meanings of the words. We know from archeological research that the version of the Hebraic text we have now is the same as that used several thousand years ago, yet here are all these different versions of text in the Koran. If the Koran truly is the word of Allah given through an angel to the Prophet (PBUH), how is it that Allah could not preserve his words from error in the space of one lifetime, when the G_D of Israel could do that over thousands of years?

Hmmm...that's one dog I can do without, Mr Carroll. My dog, Mac, was pretty tough. He once accidentally grazed my calf with his leg as he was running past me. I limped for two weeks, he didn't even flinch.
Israel's Disproportionate Response
Wow...talk about computer trouble! Both our computers got hit within 12 hours of each other from virus attacks that disabled our ability to do virus scans, etc (and they weren't networked). Hubby's tech dept. at work got his work one back up, but they said the virus was one of the most malicious they'd dealt with. The home computer was a loss so we're on a new one which I'm still figuring out.
The home one went first and the next morning the work laptop started with the same fake "warning!" pop-ups. I grabbed it and pled the blood of Jesus over it and the weirdest thing happened...it started making a shrill squealing noise. We both looked at each other like we were in the twilight zone. The pop-ups stopped and Bob was able to do a quick file backup before shutting it down.
My initial reaction was panic, but we both soon felt total peace and calm which we both know can only be attributed to God. The funny thing is, we were just talking about spiritual warfare and what that can "look" like.

Most of my computer problems are due to overload and I use an external hard-drive to store documents! I have ZoneAlarm and Shield Deluxe for my computer running/scanning frequently. I would recommend that everyone power down their computer every night. Restarting computers takes time, but is well worth the "reboot" to restore your settings and help the newly installed updates to take effect.
All this still won't prevent your computer problems, but will greatly reduce them.

I don't make it a habit of posting WND articles because I find that they are often sensational, but this article was quite interesting. It's link # 30 and is titled, "3 Dozen lawmakers want proof of Obama eligibility." And before anyone sends me notes telling me not to beat a dead horse... know that if he's found ineligible, he would endure impeachment. Making Biden (our VP) president. I cannot imagine Biden as POTUS, wouldn't that be a hoot? In the unlikely case he were to decline (hehehheheh) Nancy Pelosi would become commander and thief... ooops, did I just say that outloud?
Aside from the obvious, another advantage of having Boo out of office would be our "replaced" (hopefully) Congress could appeal/overturn some of the laws signed due to Boo's ineligibility.
In all this, some of our current lawmakers who knew Boo wasn't a true citizen, could also face charges of treason.
We all need to pray for a Scott Brown victory in Mass. today with at least a 9 point spread in his favor.
I'm hoping at least one state passes a law like the one proposed in Arizona. If BOO chooses to run in 2012 and AZ has that law in place, he'll either have to provide the proof or can't be placed on any ballot in AZ. He could still run as a write-in candidate, but still, think of the questions that would be raised.

Sara, I don't worry too much about the nuclear power plants. I know enough about how they're constructed and the safety backups installed that I don't think we'd see a Three Mile Island incident. When the shaking starts, the reactors will go into emergency shutdown, i.e., the control rods are slammed into place while water bathes the core, and the circuit breakers cut the flow outside the generators.
That does bring up another issue, though. If you'll remember, back in 2003 a tree limb shorted out a high-voltage line in Ohio. This set off a series of cascading failures that blacked out the entire Northeast, including parts of Canada.
Given the expected size of the quake area, I think the entire eastern part of the country, the western part to the Rockies, and parts of Canada will be plunged into darkness. Depending on the time of year, it will probably be at least 24 hours before power is restored to the outlying areas (Kansas, Florida, etc.) and at least a week before power is restored to New York. The actual disaster area may not have power for several months -- think Katrina. Hopefully, the backup power generators for the hospitals still standing won't be damaged. However, most of them have no more than three days of diesel stored. First, we'll have to identify which hospitals are standing; then we'll have to figure out how to get fuel to these places before their power goes out.
I really need to get my ham radio license. I let it expire years ago, and I need to get it back so I can help with emergency communications.

I just saw the video of Rick Joyner announcing that Todd Bentley is back ministering every night at Morningstar in North Carolina and now they have so-called "revival" manifestations eerily similar to Lakeland. They also announced that they are streaming these big meetings every night on their new TV channel - and they are greatly promoting the whole thing.
Now I am a tongues-speaking Pentecostal myself - but can I ask a simple question here please? What kind of "spirit" was it operating in the Lakeland revival - when the leader and main focal-point of the meetings (Todd Bentley) was having an adulterous affair behind the scenes? Was it truly the "Holy" Spirit that was anointing something so sensual and unholy? And now that Todd divorced his wife and married his mistress - are we supposed to welcome him back and this "anointing" with him? What is going on here? Rick Joyner has been warned very specifically by high-level ministries not to do what he is doing now - bringing Todd Bentley back into the limelight. And yet it seems he does not care. Apparently the "manifestations" are all that matter.
So what exactly are these 'manifestations' if they are seemingly at home in such an unholy environment? Are they from God at all? (I am talking here about the violent "jerking", uncontrollable laughter, bodily contortions, drunkenness, 'portals', strange "angel" encounters, etc.) Why do we not see such an 'anointing' in the Bible? Why aren't Jesus or the apostles promoting these manifestations if they really are true Revival? Why instead do we see these things all the way through the New Age and Hinduism, etc? Do we not realize that many false religions have their own version of "laying on of hands" that results in these very types of manifestations? This 'spirit' is not in the Bible - but it is all the way through Kundalini-type Hinduism! Don't you think this should
alarm us?
WHAT is KUNDALINI?
If you search for Kundalini and Shakti on the Internet, you will find that multitudes of people in the New Age and Eastern religions still experience these powerful manifestations. Often this is with the help of a Guru, who touches them on the forehead so that they can experience a "Kundalini Awakening".
As researcher Robert Walker wrote in 1995:
"The meetings which mystic Hindu gurus hold are called 'Darshan'. At these meetings devotees go forward to receive spiritual experience from a touch by the open palm of the hand, often to the forehead, by the guru in what is known as the Shakti Pat or divine touch. The raising of the spiritual experience is called raising Kundalini... After a period when the devotee has reached a certain spiritual elevation they begin to shake, jerk, or hop or squirm uncontrollably, sometimes breaking into uncontrolled animal noises or laughter as they reach an ecstatic high. These manifestations are called 'Kriyas'. Devotees sometimes roar like lions and show all kinds of physical signs during this period. Often devotees move on to higher states of spiritual consciousness and become inert physically and appear to slip into an unconsciousness..."
And as the guru Shri Yogãnandji Mahãrãja wrote:
"When Your body begins trembling, hair stands on roots, you laugh or begin to weep without your wishing, your tongue begins to utter deformed sounds, you are filled with fear or see frightening visions... the Kundalini Shakti has become active."

In China there is a popular Kundalini-type movement called 'Qigong'. When a Chinese Qigong spiritual master spoke in the USA in 1991, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that many in the crowd began to experience "spontaneous movements". The master told his audience, "Those who are sensitive might start having some strong physical sensations - or start laughing or crying. Don't worry. This is quite normal."
When you see videos of these "kriyas" or other Kundalini-type manifestations, you would often swear that you are watching a modern "Impartation"-type church meeting. (And I say this as someone who believes strongly in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I just don't believe in "alien" anointings infiltrating the Body of Christ! There is a big difference between Kundalini and the real Holy Spirit).
Since 1993-4, I believe a foreign spirit has been allowed to invade the church - first through Rodney Howard-Browne's ministry - then Toronto, then the Prophetic movement (which I was part of at the time) and on into Lakeland and many other ministries and movements. I urge people now to "test the spirits" just as we are commanded to in Scripture. Do not let just anyone lay hands on you. This is a powerful spirit and it has the backing of a lot of big-name ministries. In fact, these men and women are the very ones responsible for allowing it to spread right through the body of Christ. And one day they will be answerable to God for doing so.
We are specifically warned in the Bible that the Last Days will be a time of "seducing spirits," false prophets, 'lying signs and wonders,' and that we always need to watch for "angels of light" masquerading as the real thing. Why does the modern church not take these warnings seriously? Aren't we living in the very days that the Bible warns about?
Right now I need to do something that I have never done in such a way before. I have never before published a list of ministries or movements to watch out for. But this time I have to. This sickness has gone on long enough. I urge you to cut yourself off from the following ministries and their tainted "anointings" my friends. Even though some of these people say "good things" at times, it is simply not worth having any involvement with them due to the tainted anointing that they endorse or minister in themselves. Here is the list-
(1) Todd Bentley.
(2) Rodney Howard Browne - the so-called "Holy Ghost Bartender."
(2)[sic] Rick Joyner or anyone connected with Morningstar Ministries.
(3) John Arnott & any connected with TACF (The "Toronto Blessing").
(4) Peter Wagner of the 'New Apostolic Reformation' who claims to be head of a worldwide network of 'apostles' - who publicly endorsed Lakeland and will soon preach at Toronto TACF alongside other "false anointing" advocates.
(5) Mike Bickle and IHOP Kansas City (-I lived nearby for over two years - and know how much they are into all this stuff. Mike Bickle promotes it in his book).
(6) Bob Jones - the Kansas City prophet whose ministry is utterly tainted by it all.
(7) Patricia King and anyone else from 'Extreme Prophetic.'
(8) John Crowder & anyone connected with "Sloshfest."
(9) Bill Johnson of Bethel church, Redding - who says some good things but publicly endorsed Lakeland and promotes the "false anointing" very strongly behind the scenes.
(10) Heidi & Rolland Baker of IRIS Ministries - who do good work amongst the poor in Mozambique - but who have also carried and promoted this tainted anointing for years.
(11) Randy Clark, Wes & Stacey Campbell, and other key figures from the "Toronto blessing."
(12) The Elijah List - and almost anyone featured on it.

Of course there are a huge number of lesser-known preachers and ministries who carry or endorse this Kundalini-type "anointing" around the world. But I have concentrated here on the most influential that I know of. It really is an enormous issue in the church. I urge anyone who is a supporter of any of the above ministries to really check them out thoroughly. If you find (as I have) that they carry or endorse this false Kundalini spirit in the church, then please stop supporting them in any way - and whatever you do, don't let them "lay hands" on you!
I am putting everything on the line to be "naming names" like this. But I believe it is that serious. How on earth did we get to the point where "kriyas" just like Hinduism are spreading through the church?

I can testify that I was infested with this foul eastern spirit, the kundalini. I was in a movement from 1992 - 2000 which had close links with the Toronto movement. From 2000 - 2006 I joined a church with links to Bill Johnson.

It took about 6 months before I was delivered, but God brought a couple over my path who God had trained and had victory over spiritual entities. Every time I was in their presence, I would get very anxious, and they would calmly pray for me and I could feel darkness leaving and my sanity restored. It was only after 6 months of these episodes, I was again in their presence and sensed a fight ensue in the Spirit. I was very anxious and fearful and could feel a huge snake in my spine - I was rigid and very uncomfortable - It felt as if this thing wanted to throttle me and rob me of my life. I called out to God and they quietly prayed - then I asked the Lady to pull this serpent out of my head - it felt as if it could exit near the top of my crown. She continued to pray and I got the word "kundalini " in my spirit and just commanded this thing by its name to go in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I pled the blood as it was very frightening, and it left. I felt like a washed out rag, but I was free!
That was the last lime I had deliverance and my spiritual eyes have since opened and God has done a mighty work in me outside of the structure... Afterwards they were amazed and asked me what strange term I had used and where it came from - I had no idea except that it was God who gave me knowledge in that situation. Thank you for the info that has made everything clear to me!I Now have confirmation from where I was infected! May many of your readers heed the call of God to "come out and sever yourselves" from Babylon and its lies and deception and foul spirits, while there is time...

Wow Jim, I had no idea they were that bad. I looked at a few of the videos and I've never seen anything like that. If I kept the sound off, I wouldn't be able to tell that it wasn't evidence of demonic possession. I'm posting the link to his web blog tomorrow.
Campsmore, I feel esp. for "D". I know from my own research into demonic influence and possession that there are many things ordinary believers can do to free themselves and others from demonic influence, but there are times (and demons) that will not respond to a believer's calling on the Name of Jesus. Such cases require someone who has the charism of being part of the apostolic succession. Her description matches that, but I don't know how to get ahold of her or if she would accept my advice.

the worst of things like this is, there are several people in our church who are going to some sort of person who casts out demons from their lives and truthfully as nearly as I can gather he sounds like a charlatan.

As of this morning...we are now up to 7 church fires. We have ATF and FBI all over the place.
I can tell you that these churches are completely gutted and the fires are extremely hot. They are also not just happening at odd hours of the night. The last two were around 6:00Pm and this morning(broad daylight). This is not just vandalism it is spiritual warfare or a hate crime. We are in the heart of the Bible Belt...literally a church on every corner. Now you and I know that just because there are many churches doesn't mean the people that fill them are all Christians.
I'm praying that these fires and the way they are handled by the believers really reach out and help those who are lost...even in their own churches. What man means for evil...God can use for good.

you would not believe, or may be you would, the number of Christians that I have met that think eastern practices and new age thought are completely compatible with true Biblical Christianity and they just don't get that it is not and how dangerous it is. I won't watch the videos because sometimes my brain chooses the oddest stuff to dwell on and I don't want to take the chance that I would dwell and ponder on those videos. most stuff I can see and go interesting but occasionally not. I also had a bad experience as a kid. We took a field trip to the Salem witch museum and I felt oppressive evil the whole time I was there. very uncomfortable

I agree, Lisa. And it is insidious! I place some of the blame on those who should be ministering to the flock yet invite meditation teachers into the church. The sorts of practices that come out of the New Age definitely attract demonic influences.

I read about this blend between the eastern religions and Christianity way back in the 70's in the book "Death of a Guru: The Story of Rabi Maharaj" while doing a college paper on "Eastern meditation in Christian perspective". An excellent book for those interested.
Back in those days, the influx was primarily thru meditation techniques. I still encounter Christian counselors who encourage meditation with christian mantras rather than conversation with and worshiping God. Now it seems like meditation is replaced with the ecstatic.

We had it sucked up last night & then it came back to get us this morning. Had it sucked out again & now we have sandbags up which are helping. Hopefully we can fight off the water monster for the duration of this storm.

well now that depends-at least CA is geared for some sort of natural disasters with earthquakes so perhaps they have sirens or warning systems? I don't think we have any such thing here like warning sirens. the first we'd know about a tornado would be when it was shaking the house. no storm chasers out here either.

WHAT About FALLING DOWN??

After reading what we have published regarding the dangers of Kundalini, etc, a lot of people may be wondering what is "OK" - what is really from the Holy Spirit?
Does the Holy Spirit sometimes cause people to "fall down" under the power of God? Yes - sometimes He does. But He does not need to make some big "show" about it. And neither does He need men to "push" people over, either. There are counterfeits for everything.
What about the gifts of the Holy Spirit - like tongues, prophecy, healings, discernment and the casting out of demons, etc? Yes - I believe very strongly in ALL the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are right the way through the New Testament. But the key is this word "Holy." The real gifts of God have a holiness and purity about them. You can sense this. Counterfeits tends to have a "weirdness" or ugliness about them.
Let me give you an example. I received the following account from a preacher in England several years ago: "There were about 20 fellow ministers all gathered together in one large room at a local minister's house. We were introduced to the special guest... The next 3 hours were the weirdest three hours I have ever had to endure. We started listening to [her] testimony which seemed very powerful, next she spoke of the times that she meets with the Angel Gabriel and other spiritual beings, next we moved on to portals between this world and the next and then finally to how she was going to open up a portal to Heaven in the room that we were all in. Now things started to happen, really crazy things and strange noises... As [she] moved around the room ministering to individual people they were crashing to the ground, bouncing up and down, running around as if on fire and making all sorts of sounds. When she came to me she had no prophetic words for me and nothing happened to me so she just moved on. My Vineyard friend was the first to crash to the floor. Since that day his church has taken on a different guise, it is not the same church any more."
Please notice that the PREACHING was different from true Biblical preaching - and the SPIRIT that the lady was ministering in did not seem like the pure Holy Spirit. Can you tell the difference?
We need to watch out for preachers who bring unbiblical or "New Age"-sounding terms into their preaching - or who talk about "angels" all the time. Can people have true encounters with real angels? Yes - but always these beings that come from the presence of a Holy God carry His "holiness" with them. Angels in the Bible always carried this weighty presence of a Holy God. There is too much weirdness, ugliness and silliness in a lot of Christian meetings today. And I believe a lot of these encounters are not real angels at all.
So should we go forward with prayer needs for healing, etc? Absolutely! -If the preaching is sound and biblical and they are not putting on some big "show." As long as the preacher has not gotten some weird "impartation" from one of these strange "revival" meetings then they are probably fine. In fact, I am all for the real power of God being demonstrated in the earth! I wish we were seeing a lot MORE true healings and deliverances and miracles - not less! Jesus said, "These things will you do - and greater things than these"! (Jn 14:12).

Just think about the Book of Acts for a moment. Not only are there healings and miracles and demons being cast out right through the whole book, but there are also occasionally angels appearing with instructions from the Lord, and an abundance of dreams, visions and prophecies, etc. So we see that God is definitely a SUPERNATURAL GOD. He does do "unusual" things. Angelic visitations DO HAPPEN. Prophetic signs DO OCCUR. But please notice that all of these things have a certain holy "character" about them. And that is the key right there. They have a holy character,
because they come from a holy God.
I believe in a true Revival that has the piercing "word" of a John the Baptist or a Jonathan Edwards or a Charles Finney - accompanied by the most powerful MIRACLES that anyone has ever seen. I believe in a Revival like that - the "word and Spirit joined." True, piercing 'holiness' preaching with real signs and miracles following. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is what the Book of Acts shows us again and again. Bring it on, Lord!
So please be discerning - but don't be afraid of the real supernatural power of God. Without it, we simply cannot reach this lost and dying world in the way that God has called us to. The devil wants us to be so afraid of the "counterfeit" that we run right over to the other extreme - where we don't want God's power or anything "unusual" at all. This is just as big a trap as the "Charismania" excesses on the other side. The devil loves to push us to extremes - either hyper-Charismania or dead orthodoxy. I believe in a powerful balance right in the middle - the "word and the Spirit" joined. That is where real Revival is to be found. Don't let the devil rob you by pushing you to either extreme, my friends.

Jim C, I once heard a preacher tell a congregation, "Don't fake fall, there may not be anyone there to catch ya." Well,I had never forgotten that and I was real sick... "stroke sick," and wanted to go up front at church for prayer. We had a special guest, that looked like he was pushing people over, but I didn't notice until I had gotten to the front of the church. Was it too late to turn around and run? Yep, so I did what any respecting person would do. I put one foot in front of the other and turned my back foot sideways. I decided no person was going to take God's glory. As the minister came to me he almost put his hand on my head and at the last second, he put his hand directly over my head and moved it slowly toward me. He never touched me and I fell like a ton of bricks. It didn't hurt, I don't know if anyone even caught me. I just know I had such peace and after that evening all those symptoms completely disappeared... and haven't come back!
Praise God Lori! The real Holy Spirit touching anyone will always accomplish what He was sent for.

Yep, it is me and not my friend Linda. Linda is in Israel working with a group on the exploration of Oil and Gas deposits and is greatly enjoying all of her time there. Her husband, Peter, is in the process of moving to Israel where he will be working with the Israel/US legal advisers. Don't know any more than that about them but she wanted me to express her well wishes for all of you.

You all know that the times are getting very ripe for the Shout and JIM C. I really enjoyed your article about the earthquake "Might Be". Also, posting Andrew Strom's message, which I greatly agree with. Most profoundly!
If what you see and hear does not glorify God and keep the Scriptures true to their purpose, it isn't of God, plain and simple. I have never seen an angel, have never asked to see one but I have felt the presence of God many, many times in my life. Always, the whole experience caused me to desire only His Holiness and the Love was so great that it melted my heart. The end result caused me to clean up my way of thinking, living and sharing. Meanness is not a part of the Heart of God for all of us who believe.
I love the Lord with all of my being and I love each and every one of you! The past few months have been very trying and yet there has always been the assurance that "I AM with you Wilma and have no fear!" Perfect love always casts out fear and without fear, there is great freedom.

I read about your water problems and I am praying for you; but for that matter, I have been praying for you longer than that flood mess. How is hubby handling the new drama in your family's life? Got him in my prayers also.
My daughter and son-inlaw now live in Maricopa, Arizona and they have been getting the severe rains also. When the tornado warning was given for them she said they both asked "What do you mean, tornado. We left Arkansas to get away from those things."
Take all of the birth pangs in your stride and keep looking up! Your help comes from the Lord.

So great to see you posting again!!
We had 9 tornados touch down here in East Texas a couple of nights ago but almost no injuries and no deaths. One went right around the housing area our dear friends from our care group live in, but didn't hit a single house in the community. Praise the Lord.
900 + earthquakes in current cluster in yellowstone. Also, earthquake in guatemala yesterday. Birth pangs indeed. Time is very short my friends.

JIM, haven't been on my email today. Found a Trojan on my scan with Avira and worked most of the day getting rid of it. The only place I could have gotten it was on an email from a friend that sent me some printed material that she had found on the internet. Easy to get them and work hard to rid the computer afterward.
I will check before I go to bed though.
Scott, did you plead the blood of Jesus? That is a great report and 9 tornadoes is nothing to sneeze at. The report from Yellowstone doesn't sound too good either and for that matter, the earthquakes in Oklahoma are moving east!

With this talk of earthquakes in Yellowstone, etc. I want to pass along something I got from CAF. There is a woman named Jennifer who purportedly has been getting messages from Jesus since 2001. Her messages are reviewed by her spiritual director before being released, but no decision has been made to approve or disapprove these messages. You can read them at "Words from Jesus" Use discernment.
On 1/20/10 at 9:35 AM she recv'd a message that included this:
My Child, I have come to warn My Children that the dust of the earth will rise up, and before the wheat takes root in the fields, mankind will be awakened.

FWIW, in most parts of America, wheat is planted and harvested twice a year -- winter wheat and spring wheat. Some places can get 3 crops in a year, but they're the exception. The winter wheat is considered the primo crop, and is (usually) planted between mid-Sept. and the end of October. Spring wheat is planted sometime between April and May. I can't say why, but something in me is saying (assuming "wheat" is literal and not figurative) this is referring to winter wheat.

Has anyone been keeping track of these earthquakes? I'm pretty sure we had a spate of them last year and I was thinking there would be a lull with another set following at a later time. Sure enough. This is what seems to be occurring. Birth pangs?

D.H. is doing fairly well I'd say. He's coming around & maturing bit by bit in the Lord. The bottom line is that he doesn't spend enough time in the Word to really mature @ a quicker pace. Too bad because he is one to remember the details: Names, dates, cities, numbers, etc... If he digested the Word he could really bring it up w/ all the details included.
His boss did make a comment recently that he's noticed D.H. lives out his faith & is not a fake. I thought that was a good sign! And he's handling the flood episode pretty well too. Insurance doesn't cover flood damage from an outside source unless you carry a specific "flood insurance" policy. (which we don't.) They only cover an inside pipe leak/break.

When a new thread is started, I'll post a few things I previously emailed others, or posted elsewhere that might be of interest here as well. Of course, it will all be bible prophecy related : )
Haven't had time to read the comments, so please forgive me if my later posts rehash things already known here or if I miss responding to something someone asks, etc.
Since Anne last contacted me, I have kept this site bookmarked so I wouldn't lose it again, and I've been meaning to post, but am always concerned how it might appear it I posted things and didn't return to read and respond to questions or follow up comments, which is likely, but only because of time constraints.
Alot has happened since we were all meeting at the Rosenberg site years ago, hasn't it? Whew!!!
Oh, my goodness sakes alive! I didn't mean to create a rukus but your welcoming me back means so very much. I have missed you all too and I can't help but wonder if this isn't God's handiwork getting us all back together for the big BOOM!
There is so very much happening but not all of it is originating from Abba. Hard to discern at times but an old saying among my older (than me???) Christian friends is, "don't rush to judgment and always, always let the Holy Spirit do the judging". That has saved my skin many times in the past.
This past year has been a series of "wait and see" events and there is no way I could have guessed my way through them. Just put it all on the Lord's shoulders and give him the Glory.
Jim C. there is a big harvest of wheat every year in Oklahoma. About half way between OKC and Kansas State line the wheat fields begin and by this time of the year the ground has turned a beautiful green. The Arkansas area that grows the wheat follows the Arkansas River and the Mississippi River flowing along the eastern portion of Arkansas produces rice and cotton.
If you Google the river basin of Arkansas you will be able to see what I mean. I live very close to the beginning of the wheat fields in Arkansas. But last year there was so much rain that the soybeans were ruined in most places along this area and the businesses that own those crop lands tried to go in and harvest them anyway. Tore the fields up with huge combine ruts and as of Wednesday (Jan. 20th) the fields are still bare and hold a lot of water.
The woman you quoted might have heard from the Lord but again, it is a wait and see. IN the meantime, we all need to keep our hearts and minds on God's word and free from the guilt of sin.

LISA, good news about your hubby and I know that it must bless you greatly to have him progressing so. Also, thank you for the link to Carter Conlon's message at Times Square Church. He reminds me so much of David Wilkerson's style but the David of the 1960's was a real fire brand and ventured into places that most believers would have never gone. He became the Gang's Preacher in places like Philly, New York and such. Street gangs was the cotton ripe to harvest and David went after them with the Word and Love of God. What a man of God he is.
And JIM G. don't worry about puffing me up. It isn't going to happen. I know who brought me back to the Cave and I give Him all of the credit and Love that this body can dish out. Surrender is far better than conviction, anytime.

Grany, just before you posted I was wondering the same thing. I've had a foreboding sense again (which I sometimes get as I did early Sept '08) and I have a recurring thought now to tell my DH that it's time to move on from Isaiah (his favorite book) and into Jeremiah, including Lamentations. I don't know for sure if that is from the Lord but I'm going to tell him anyway. I'm not saying this out of personal fear, but out of sadness for those who will suffer, and for the many who already do.
We'll see what happens. I'm continuing to pray for loved ones who don't know Him, more and more earnestly. I also have printed out the names of Cave brothers and sisters and will be praying for all of you if we are "somehow" disconnected. Morning by morning new mercies we see, and will see.

Christian courage is the willingness to say and do the right thing regardless of the earthly cost, because God promises to help you and save you on account of Christ. An act takes courage if it will likely be painful. The pain may be physical, as in war and rescue operations. Or the pain may be mental as in confrontation and controversy.
Courage is indispensable for both spreading and preserving the truth of Christ. Jesus promised that spreading the gospel would meet resistance: "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name" (Matthew 24:9). And Paul warned that, even in the church, faithfulness to the truth would be embattled: "I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them" (Acts 20:29-30; see also 2 Timothy 4:3-4).
Therefore, true evangelism and true teaching will take courage. Running from resistance in evangelism or teaching dishonors Christ. There is a kind of cowardice that tells only the truths that are safe to tell. Martin Luther put it like this:
If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved, and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point. (Quoted in Parker T. Williamson, Standing Firm: Reclaiming Christian Faith in Times of Controversy [Springfield, PA: PLC Publications, 1996], p. 5)
Where then shall we get this courage? Consider these pointers.
FROM BEING FORGIVEN AND BEING RIGHTEOUS - "The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion" (Proverbs 28:1). "Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, 'Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven'" (Matthew 9:2).
FROM TRUSTING GOD AND HOPING IN HIM - "Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD" (Psalm 31:24; see also 2 Corinthians 3:12).
FROM BEING FILLED WITH SPIRIT - "They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness" (Acts 4:31).
FROM GOD'S PROMISE TO BE WITH YOU - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).
FROM KNOWING THAT THE ONE WITH YOU IS GREATER THAN THE ADVERSARY: -"Be strong and courageous . . . for the one with us is greater than the one with him. With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles" (2 Chronicles 32:7).
FROM BEING SURE THAT GOD IS SOVEREIGN OVER THE BATTLES - "Be strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for the cities of our God; and may the LORD do what is good in His sight" (2 Samuel 10:12).
THROUGH PRAYER - "On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul" (Psalm 138:3; see also Ephesians 6:19-20).
FROM THE EXAMPLE OF OTHERS - "Most of the brethren, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear" (Philippians 1:14).

I'm not saying I believe what's being said in the video, just open to it. After watching it, consider the following..
Is it possible that God said earthquakes would increase in the last days because he knew man would become progressively more evil and find a way to initiate and use them as a weapon of war?
Is it possible that the earthquake in the sixth seal of Revelation, that some think is the same one that occurs in Ez 38 & 39, occurs because the USA decided to deploy this H.A.A.R.P. technology as a "hail Mary" after coming under attack as "those who dwell safely in the coastlands" as mentioned in Ez 38 & 39?

A poster by the name of Willard posted a comment here at joelstrumpet.com in response to whether Iran or Israel will launch an attack first, that included the following quote that I thought was very interesting.
"Ahmadinijad will receive the same reward that Haman received in Esther - he was hung on the scaffold he built for the Jews and it will be like wise the weapons used against the Jews will very possibly once again be turned against the aggressors - 2010 or 2011 is certainly a possibility as it is 2520 biblical years from Haman's death"
I thought both the analogy and the 2520 number used, was VERY interesting.
The three audio interviews with Dr. Michael Heiser on this page about the Divine Council were very interesting!
It appears that there is a hierarchy in heaven that is explained by many verses in the bible that may have been overlooked.
On the part 1 and 2 interviews you will have to slide the player button to the right till you hear Dr. Heiser talking on the phone because on those two interviews Dr. Heiser doesn't come on tlll much later.

By signing Executive Order 11110, the FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD would no longer be in control of printing, issuing, accepting and funding the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA's loans for currency. As the Constitution of the united states of America mandates, the power to issue currency
would return to the Secretary of the Treasury Department of the united states of America without going through the Federal Reserve Board first.
JFK signs an order to make the Fed no longer the printers of money and a few days later he is shot and killed. The Fed then once again starts printing money. Coincidence?

Israel, Between Mysticism & Reality
Have any of you considered that the two witnesses "might" arrive at the second half of the seven year tribulation? This guy's comment below tieing the Book of Daniel with the Book of Revelation on the subject were interesting. It does make sense that Jerusalem is trampled after and not before the abomination of desolation, and that after the two witnesses are resurrected, the angels would immediately shout "The whole world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and his Christ..."
"Notice that in Rev 11:2-3 Jerusalem is trampled for 42 months. This is the 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week after the "abomination of desolation", and the same 1260 days that the Two Witnesses prophesy. This is further confirmed by Rev 11:7-14 which shows that the Two Witnesses will be killed and then raised up at the end of their testimony, and Rev 11:15 which shows this happening just prior to the 7th Trumpet, which occurs at the end of the 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week, and the loud voices are shouting in heaven "The whole world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever." This is immediately prior to the Second Coming. The conclusion has to be that the Two Witnesses prophesy during the 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week (Great Tribulation)."

Hard to believe "all" these crop circles are man-made
The candidate mentioned at this link is someone we've all probably read about before and his bio is very interesting. however some additional info mentioned in this link was amazing based on its prophetic symbolism and thus, significance.

Interesting links, ATTY. I looked at the crop circle video. I can tell you that when I was a kid and we were playing around with a ouija board, I experienced something similar occurring in my backyard. I won't go into details but whatever was doing it seemed to be able to read my thoughts. I find it hard to believe that humans are involved in making all these crop circles and suspect demonic activity.

Man of sin (antichrist) revealed in this video
It's long, about an hour and a half, I'm not finished yet. But, he talks about the treaty being the Oslo Accords, that being confirmed and not a new treaty. I've never heard this guy (forgot his name) before but Perry Stone is on the stage with him. It's a Last Days type conference. Lots of interesting info about Prince Hassan. If this man is anything like his nephew King Abdullah, he is very charismatic. I saw Abdullah at the National Prayer Breakfast a few years ago and was taken in. I liked him! A very likable fellow. Gives me the shivers now.
BTW, I'm not speculating on who the AC is, and I don't know if I need to know. But, maybe others who will be left behind (if pre-trib is right) need to know the possibilities.

Jim G., Shalom! The number 2520 is related to the Sacred Cubit, used to measure the Temple. (It's generally accepted that the Sacred Cubit equals 25.20 modern inches.) If you ever get a chance to read "Temple at the Center of Time" by David Flynn, do so! He goes into much more detail on the role of the number 2520 (and all its fractals) in Biblical prophecy. For example, the finger that wrote on the wall at the feast of Belshazzar (Daniel 5:5-12) wrote (when reading up-and-down, right to left) "Mina, Mina, Tekel, Uparsin." These are monetary values that add up to 2,520.
