Behold what manner of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Here is a long post of confirmations written by a prophectic revivalist. I posted it on Joel's site but some would not be able to read it because of Joel's long blog. Here goes:- DISASTERS WHERE?? -by Andrew Strom.
I write this out of genuine concern for the remnant of God in the USA. It is something brief that I have been wanting to put together for awhile. It is simply about the many similar prophecies of calamity and physical judgment coming upon this nation. There seems to be a pattern, and I don't want to cause undue alarm, but simply to discuss these things so we are not unaware of them. God will tell you if you need to act on any of this.
Since I have been in the United States (and even before, to some degree) it has come to my attention that there have been prophetic and praying people from all different places who have had visions, dreams, or strong revelations - that often seem to line up with others totally separate from themselves. This has happened too often to dismiss it as mere "coincidence". I truly believe God has been speaking to a lot of these people.
What I want to do in this email is simply talk about a number of over-riding themes that seem to have come out again and again in these warnings.
For myself, I am convinced that America is entering into some very dark days ahead - not just economically, but in all kinds of ways. She is literally sleep-walking her way towards a precipice and she is about to go over. We have discussed many of the reasons for this in past articles. But suffice it to say, it seems that serious judgments are now at the door.
DANGER in THE WEST
The most unanimous warnings from many quarters concern the West Coast. Certainly, California seems to have painted a larger and larger target on herself in recent years - almost crying out for judgment. Virtually every prophecy or vision that I have heard regarding California involves not just earthquakes but also massive walls of WATER literally inundating entire regions. It is so common for people to have had vivid technicolor dreams and visions of these earthquakes or tsunamis, that personally I have to believe there is something in it. But it is not just California. In many visions, the wall of water that is seen causes massive devastation right up and down the entire West Coast - and even a long way inland. We may say that such a thing seems unlikely, but I for one would not be so quick to ignore such unanimous warnings. If you live on the West Coast, and you strongly sense God telling you to move - then MOVE! I guess it is as simple as that.
OTHER STATES
By no means is the West Coast the only part of America being singled out in a lot of these prophecies. If you know where the Madrid fault-line is (on the Missouri-Illinois border) then perhaps you know too that the strongest-recorded earthquake in US history occurred there. There are prophecies of another massive earthquake that will follow the Mississippi right up through this corridor. So the midwest is not necessarily that safe. We need to know exactly where God would have us - and be listening to Him. That is the only safe place to be. -In the center of His will.
As far as weather and super-storms go, the Gulf Coast and the East Coast are also prophesied to get hit again. (-Including New Orleans).
WHERE THEN ARE the SAFE ZONES?
You need to be totally led by the Spirit, but generally if these things begin to occur, some of the northern central states are often spoken of as "safety zones" - ie. From Eastern Washington (Spokane area) and Eastern Oregon over to Western Wisconsin - taking in most of the states in between - ie. Most of Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa. -There are other spots around the country that are spoken of as "Places of Refuge" also, but as I said before, it is utterly crucial to be led by the Spirit in all of this. When and if these things begin to happen, I truly believe God will speak to you if you are listening.
Nothing that I am saying here is a cause for alarm or panic. It is simply a call to start listening very closely to the voice of God - which I'm sure many of you are doing already.
The WORST CASE SCENARIO
The latter part of a lot of these prophecies and dreams show America being invaded by foreign armies while she is down. There are so many accounts of people seeing Chinese or UN troops on American soil in these visions - it is amazing. This is one of the most consistent features. Heavy Government crackdowns, bombs and explosions (-even Nukes) in various places - people have seen many of these things. But the "invading armies" one is definitely among the most common. Does it make sense? Yes, absolutely - if America is down and vulnerable. The U.S has many enemies in the world - sadly even some in her own Government.
I am writing these things for no other reason than to bring "confirmation" to God's Remnant - if they have already been hearing them from God Himself.
By no means am I asking people to act on what I am writing here. You need to hear from the Lord directly - and act only on what He tells you. But hopefully this email may act as a confirmation, to help you make your decision when and if the time comes. We all know that even in the very midst of danger, being in the center of God's will is literally the only place worth being - crisis or no crisis.
But I just wanted to put this out so that people will know what God has been speaking in many parts of this nation for a number of years. The safety of the Remnant is certainly of great concern to me. If you yourself have seen dreams or visions of these things, I would certainly be interested to hear them.
You can email me at- prophetic@revivalschool.com
Yours for the love of God's true Remnant in this land,
since some can't read over at Joel's-this is my initial reaction to Jeri's post
Jeri,
does Strom believe in replacement theology? I am getting strong hints of that in what he has written ie the Remnant of God in the US.
He forgot the massive tsunami that is supposed to level the Eastern seaboard (said half sarcastic and half truthful).
Having said that-there is ample enough reason for God to judge the US but there are enough believers here yet that unless we do something really stupid as a nation (such as completely abandoning Israel) I don't know that any of the above will happen pre Rapture. Post Rapture is an entirely different story.
As far as falling away from The Faith I would remind that we only tread in places where others have trod-Europe and Canada come to mind. Are we more guilty than they because of the film and tv industry? Good question. I know from what I've read that our film industry, despite the fact that much of it is less than God honoring, it is still prudish compared to other nations. Just because we don't see some of their stuff mass marketed here doesn't mean that it isn't mass marketed and widely seen elsewhere. Sometimes I think in the US we tend to think that we are the center of everything and that no one else has anything to offer on any front. As far as ours being a Christian nation gone astray-most of Europe's governments at one time considered their nation to be a Christian one. I don't know that the US is anymore or less guilty than they are and don't know that we deserve punishment anymore or less than they do. So why would our wickedness in particular be more deserving of harsher punishment than the countries of Europe?
It may interest you that a while back (+10yrs??) there was a prophecy given in the US that there would be a born-again, bible-believing, spirit-filled, tongue-talking, God fearing righteous believer in the White House just before Jesus returned.
The ONLY person on the radar at the moment that comes close to that description is Mike Huckaby.
If the Republicans win in November (a miracle!!), and John McCain gets the nomination (still in doubt), and Mike Huckaby gets the VP spot (again in doubt), it is in the realms of possibility (given McCain's age) that the VP could become the president during the next 4 years. But then, as Mike Huckaby said, he has been majoring in miracles so far in this campaign - and with our God, NOTHING is impossible.
Given all the other "signs of the times", it would seem that Jesus will be coming back VERY soon.
God is already orchestrating the great End-Times revival (the outpouring of "the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month" - Joel 2:23). It could happen this year - during the "first month". I believe, because of the Hebrew expression used for "first, that this actually refers to the "beginning of the year" (see Exek 40:1 for the use of the same expression), which is generally regarded to be the start of the month of Tishrei, which begins with Rosh HaShanah, also known as The Day of the Blowing of the Shofar or the Feast of Trumpets (Lev 23:24). Rosh HaShanah is the start of the civil year in the Hebrew calendar. It is the new year for people, animals, and legal contracts. It falls on 30 September this year.
(See also the Wikipedia entry Feast of Trumpets (Christian holiday) - I do not necessarily subscribe to its views, but it does have some relevant information on the relationship of the Jewish Feast days to end-time chronology).
I think that when this event - the final outpouring of Holy Spirit - happens, it will have a tremendously polarizing effect on people, especially leaders, in the churches (all denominations - RC, orthodox or protestant) - either they will accept and go with what God is doing or they will reject it and fight against those involved, with all sorts of slanderous and evil reports being fed to the media (all in the name of God, of course).
It will also demonstrate a very clear divide between those who are for God and Jesus Christ, and those who are for anything and everything else.
In an aside - there will always be excesses in the flesh when such supernatural events take place (c.f the Toronto Blessing, which started out great then degenerated into excesses of the flesh, as later acknowledged by its leaders), just be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I have seen God moving supernaturally by his Spirit - it is awesome and mind-blowing - and can have some very dramatic effects in the natural realm - earthquakes, winds, fire.)
The arrival of the Shekinah Glory (also known as the Glory Cloud - a visible appearance of the Glory of God, as in a cloud = Holy Spirit) always results in the most amazing miracles and healings - cancerous growths and tumors just dropping of a person's body, limbs growing back, missing body parts being replaced (even parts that have been missing since birth!), the deaf hearing, the blind seeing, the dumb speaking, mentally defectives suddenly being made completely well and restored to their right minds, and last but not least, the dead being raised - the list goes on!!
As regards the 40 days thing, I asked my pastors about this, and they said that, although there is a definite time period between the "dead in Christ" being raised, and we "who are alive" going up in the air to meet them (we are all "changed" at the same time), there is nothing that would indicate a 40 day period.
There are, however, 2 prophecies that have to be fulfilled by this event:
1) The whole earth is to be filled with the glory of God - see Psalm 148:13 (and other Psalms), Isaiah 6:3 and Ezekiel 43:1-3
2) The House of Israel is to be made jealous - see Deuteronomy 32:21, Romans 10:19, Romans 11:11.
This would happen within a short space of time, so maybe the 40 days delay is not necessary.
Jeri from SA, Shalom! Thanks for posting the message from Andrew Strom. I would like to ask one favor: when you're copying a post from another source, could you please paste it into Notepad first and remove all the extra "carriage returns" from the end of lines, THEN copy and paste into the blog comments? This would make it MUCH easier for me to read. Thanks!
Here we go w/the "Glory" again. I was just trying to figure out exactly what my former Pastor-Ray Bentley-was referring to last night.
I posted this once before how he sent out a special message that this was to be the year of "Glory" for the Church. I was catching up on his past sermons for Jan.(have 2more to go) and he said something to the effect that he felt it hovering above but not yet here and mentioned more prayers needed.
Then at my new Church as we were worshiping/praying yesterday (And I was really checking things out re:hypnosis) I felt this warm energy infilling me again. (As it does every service during this particular prayer time) I was really suspicious and on "watch". I don't think it's hypnosis.Fortunately I didn't have anyone beside me muttering this Jesus,Jesus, stuff. (I think that's what freaked me out the most last time)
(I'm eventually going to ask and Elder or the Pastor about this)
But I thought last night-could it be this "Glory" that Pastor Ray was referring to? (Or am I just ready for the looney bin? It's possible)
He didn't specifiy say that it was "Shekinah Glory". So as Boatman stated-that would be "Visible" glory and nothing I've experienced is actually "visible."
Wouldn't it be great if one day we all saw God's "Shekinah Glory". Would we all be reved up or what? Could you imagine this blog?
Let's keep our senses open, prayers lifted, and eyes peeled.
If you have all these dead coming back with glorified bodies, I can see a couple of things happening. First of all, this is supposed to last 40 days, right? What happens to the saved who die during that 40 days? Do they come back right away with glorified bodies? Will we have a 40-day period where no one dies in the entire world, or will it be 40 days where only the unsaved die?
JIB was partially correct (IMO - I'm not very humble?!?).
When the Rapture occurs, the "dead in Christ" are resurrected, and their bodies join up with their spirits "in the air" - it is only the spirits of the dead in Christ that return from heaven - the Rapture is when they get their new, immortal, bodies.
We who are the born-again saints still alive on earth will be "changed" into our new immortal bodies, and at some later point in time (undefined, but as posted earlier, unlikely to be 40 days - maybe a few hours or a few days at most) we will rise to meet Jesus and all the other saints in the air above the earth.
Any one who gets saved as a result of seeing this take place will NOT get immortal bodies at this point - they literally will get left behind to go into the Tribulation. There is another rapture at some point just after the mid point of the Tribulation - at the start of the Great Tribulation period, where these people get taken straight to heaven - see Revelation 7:9-17. I believe there is a third Rapture, just before the wrath of God is poured out, when the 2 Witnesses are resurrected and raptured. Anyone who has got saved during the Great Tribulation will also then be raptured.
The Old Testament saints (Abraham and Moses, etc) are raised at the same time as the Rapture, since it is clear that these are already in heaven with the Lord Jesus, and have been since He returned to heaven after His resurrection. This was when all the righteous men (and women) of the OT were moved from Abraham's Bosom to heaven.
Abraham's Bosom was a compartment of the place called Hades (Sheol) - the place of the departed dead - see Jesus' account of the rich man and Lazarus the beggar in Luke 16:19-31. Hades now only contains those who died without faith in Jesus, along with all the angels who rebelled with Lucifer, and who were thrown into darkness in chain (2 Peter 2:4, Jude 6).
seems you don't agree much with Dr Frucht either since he also feels that the OT saints are not resurrected until after the Tribulation-I gather he feels that the Rapture is only for the church since we are the Bride of Christ and the OT saints are not part of the Bride of Christ. I suspect although don't think he outright said so that since they are part of Jehovah's wife or Israel that until there is a national regeneration on the part of Israel they won't be resurrected. (that last bit is me reading in between the lines)
Regarding Huckabee-I don't think quite frankly he's as close as you might think. I would be very surprised to find him a tongue speaking individual given he was in the SBC. Further he doesn't seem to me to have the courage of his convictions. I'll grant you questions on Britney spears are not really of national importance but I did expect a better less non committal answer from a former SBC pastor (which ironically is the type of church Ms Spears grew up in so I would have thought it a great fit). His answer was vague and generic and couldn't have possibly been the least offensive to a non believer which to me signals that he is far more interested in being elected.
regarding the outpouring of dreams-I don't do scary nor amusingly enough gory (some consider my job pretty gory) movies since I am a very vivid dreamer. I dream in color and am what is known as a conscious dreamer. The latter really surprsied a co worker who is heavily into things Eastern and accupuncture. Conscious dreaming is pretty rare and I guess I don't fit the mold-really I wasn't sure if I should be offended by her reaction or not. Conscious dreaming means I have the ability to realize that I am dreaming without awakening and change the direction of the dream completely by conscious effort. Usually I realize in the middle of the dream that I've had this dream before, know what is coming next, somtimes announce to the others in the dream what is coming next, tell them it is a dream and explain how we are going to change the outcome. I had a series of dreams once that I was being captive and held against my will. I tried escaping by running but was always recaptured. However I could delay capture in progressively longer increments be changing the method of escape and the direction I ran. Eventually I realized I could fly by gliding on air currents and after several dreams got the hang of the gliding flying and was thus able to avoid recapture indefinitely. I don't conscious dream frequently and it seems to occur when under a great deal of unrelenting stress or am struggling with a decision etc. The conscious dreaming was a little weird the first time it happened and it has been ongoing since I was a teenager so I am used to it now.
If God blesses me with dreams so be it. As vivdly as I dream though I'm not really sure however that I wish to have prophetic dreams.
Jib, I'm also a conscious dreamer and dream in colour. And, I know this will probably freak some people out, but I get the occasional mundane glimpse into the future. Not sure how it works but I can't deny it sometimes happens. I tend to ignore it though.
I can't speak for Andrew Strom's authenticity, but before you totally rule out what he is saying, keep in mind that the U.S. is not mentioned in Bible prophecy.
My wife and I have been feeling like God has been speaking to us for awhile about preparing for serious calamity to befall this nation. We have had some pretty specific dreams as well. We feel the Spirit will have us move south into Mexico at some point in the future. One of the most eerie moments I have experienced was when my wife described a dream where we were in some sort of prison. The the other inmates were Americans, but the guards were Mexicans. After hearing enough details, I exclaimed "thats not a prison, thats a refugee camp!!!' The thought had not occurred to her, but she dreamed it none the less. (We were even told how we were to escape)
The most vivid dream I had involved being in a public place where all the people were in a high state of panic over something taking place. I started to panic too, the asked myself "What am I doing? All I need is Jesus!" I started preaching the same to the others, but they just ran past me in panic. It "felt" like Mexico to me as well.
Anne and TexanforChrist, I just saw your question about the Dow at 8,000 but the linked article no longer comes up. Based on the title of the link, it looks like someone thinks the Dow will drop to 8,000 and I concur.
I'm already seeing foreclosed houses getting snapped up for about 40%-50% of market value from 2 years ago and I think it will get much worse. Just read all the housing bubble blogs that are publishing data you won't find anywhere else.
To jump on the dream bandwagon... I also dream in color & are sometimes a conscious dreamer. I've had recurrent dreams often, sometimes for years, but can't do what Jib can. Wow, that sounds cool. I usually have horrific nightmares, when they happen frequently I have to switch up what time I go to bed to alter my REM cycle. I imagine there have probably been many cases of people dying of a heart attack in their sleep, due to nightmares. There are times I wake with my heart pounding so bad, I think I'm dying. Praise the Lord, I haven't had really bad ones in a few months!
Lori - the cake looks beautiful! Are those squirrels on top?
I unfortunately do not dream a lot (rather I don't remember my dreams).
However, recently I had a VERY vivid dream about a flood. The area was unfamiliar to me (lots of cabins and in the woods somewhere). In the dream I was not scared at all, but the dream was extremely realistic by my dreaming standards.
I don't really think it means anything, it was just so realistic.
You might want to watch the 6 TV broadcasts by Kenneth Copeland and Governor Huckabee from Sunday, November 25 through Friday November 30, 2007.
You can access them here. Search for "huckabee" and you should locate the broadcasts. It may help you to understand him and his position better. He may have been a SBC pasotr, but he is definitely a spirit-filled, tongue-talking miracle believing follower of Jesus.
Don't beleive everything you hear about Copeland's ministry (or Pastor Kenneth Hagin, Pastor Jesse Duplantis or others of the "Word of Faith Movement".
Much of what you read in the media is from a determined attack on these men, to discredit them in the eyes of beleivers, no tthe world, so that peopl will not listen to what they have to say.
My expereince of these men is that they KNOW God, they KNOW what they are talking about, and can be trusted. But, having said that, be a Berean and search the Scriptures. However, be careful that you search the Scriptures honestly, and do not allow the "traditions of men" to color your thinking. Much of what passes for "reasoned" interpretation of Scripture is often wishful thinking or on what you have been taught - it's amazing how hard it is to re-program your thinking (renew your mind - Romans 12:2) if you have been taught that a particular position or interpretation is the only correct one.
Pastor Kenneth Hagin, in a conversation with Jesus back in the '50s, exclaimed that he had read the Bible at least 150 times, and surely had a good understanding of what the Scriptures said. Jesus' reply was simply that he knew almost nothing! I am convinced that we actually have a VERY limited knowledge and understanding of the Word of God, and we will discover, when we get to Heaven, that we will all need to go back to primary school and start over.
This has nothing to do with dreams or the housing bubble...or the fact that Mac has not read one of Joel's books!!!!! God bless your humility to come out on that Mac!
Someone on one of the threads posted a link to 2007 sermons at Manna Church in Fayetteville. Alot of them are by Pastor Mike Fletcher, I believe his name is.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!! I have been so ministered to by them. I have felt the Holy Spirit address and soothing the struggle that I have been going through via these messages. So whoever posted that (it may have even been at Joel's) thank you so much!!
Are you of the opinion that anyone in the SBC cannot/does not have the 'gift' of speaking in tongues? Hopefully, that is not what you intended, because that is not true.
It is true that the SB denomination does not hold to this belief and therefore does not teach it, but I do have this belief. Though I don't speak openly (publicly) about it, I do pray in the Spirit in my personal prayer life and (silently) in corporate worship.
I am not ashamed that I hold to this belief and will (and have) shared it privately on many occasions. When I have occasions to so share, I always share that it is a means of communication to my Father that no one else, not even satan, can get in on.
So, would not it be possible that Huckabee might be in the same situation? Remember Joseph of Arimathea who provided the tomb and the burial spices when our Lord was crucified. Remember Nicodemus who was a secret follower of Jesus Christ.
I don't know Mr. Huckabee and haven't done any research about him, so I don't know his personal beliefs, only that he was at one time a SB pastor. (But as I am finding out: all denominations have 'renegades.')
Mary & John, you are right-I did mean that it is not taught and in my experience within the SBC it is frowned upon to say the least. Does that mean there are people who don't believe differently-nope as you said there are renegades :-). It still begs the question as to why Huckabee couldn't come up with a less lame answer when the media asked him what Britney should do. I suppose it is possible he has know idea who she is but since she is in the news almost daily I find that difficult to believe. I found his lack of a strong answer disquieting to say the least.
As far as America not in prophecy-I suspect it is because we're not a factor for the most part. Why we are not a factor remains to be seen. It could be anything from isolationism to decimation on a plethora of fronts-economic etc.
One of the interesting things I'm reading about in Frucht's book is that he believes the one world government comes on the scene long before Antichrist. In other words-Antichrist is not who unifies the world into a global government (which is what I have been taught and believed) but one who takes over the global government that is already present. Food for thought. We're already going down that road currently in efforts to unite Canada and Mexico and the US. A rather plebian answer to why we aren't mentioned but if you note there are an awful lot of countries that aren't mentioned in the Bible or prophecy as nation states, although most have not had the impact that the US has had on the world. The US has been such a force for so long that people have come up with reasons as to why she is no longer a force to be reckoned with, most involving judgment, rapture etc. Not saying that it won't be any of those things. Just saying it doesn't have to be. If Frucht is right-America may not be mentioned because we've been merged into a North American State. that's it. no judgment or disasters. We just don't exist. Personally I am beginning to see that the disaster may just be economic that tips us into a North American State. I read in passing somewhere that there is already a plan that someone has come up with to divide the world into 10 economic divisions. Interesting. A bad economic disaster coupled with the formation of a North American State would certainly make a lot of people refugees. Depending on where you live the guards could speak anything.
Having played devil's advocate I don't really think the US is above judgment and rather severe judgment at that. I also used to think that the US was not mentioned because of some severe disaster on the physical front, the Rapture etc. Now I'm not so sure. For one, Frucht's arguments that a one world government will be in place before Antichrist even appears on the scene are compelling and lead you down all sorts of interesting paths followed to logical conclusions. Two, there is a huge isolationist movement in this country that Ron Paul has tapped into. I have always said that one of the reasons that the US doesn't come to aid Israel in the battle of Gog and Magog is because we have elected officials who are uninterested in aiding their long time friend because of a spirit of isolationism and not wanting to get involved or be the world's policeman anymore.
conscious or lucid dreaming is in part the awareness of dreaming while dreaming without waking up but also the ability to consciously affect the outcome of your dream. it was very disconcerting the first time it happened. I now don't fear it and it is rather cool but most people look at me like I have three heads or something when it comes up in conversation.
It is kind of nice to know that I know others however who conscious dream-usually I'm the only one.
Hyde
you are kidding!!!! NONE of them? you best get busy!
I have lived in a number of countries and different cultures.
From my, albeit limited perspective, the US is still the most God-fearing, religiously free and tolerant nation in the world.
Europe, by and large, is God-less. The ME is by and large Muslim - one of the most intolerant, racist cultures on the planet.
China is not so much secular, as it is a religion of the state (Communism?). Indonesia is mostly Muslim, but also suffers from the fact that it was created from a collection of waring tribes and nation states that until the last 100 years or so were still, to a great extent in the stone age. South America is either RC or Marxist - again very little tolerance for anything different or for anyone else' belief.
Finally, Canada - this nation has become almost God-less - it is not as bad as Europe (yet), but it is rapidly declining into a left-wing, liberal mess with no clear direction (personally I think that the Charter of Rights that counts as our constitution is a complete disaster). I also think that the actions of the so called Canadian Human Rights Commissions exemplify the trend - if you are an active, Bible-believing Christian, trying to defend a rational, consistent viewpoint of society, grounded in the basic ideas of absolute right and wrong, you are increasingly a minority, and will almost always run afoul of the HRCs if you attempt to say anything publicly.
Don't be in such haste to knock the US, it is still a bastion of religious and secular freedom compared to the rest of the world, although for how much longer is definitely in question.
Jib, Actually, lucid/conscious dreaming is defined as: being conscious while dreaming. If, by chance, during a dream it suddenly dawns on you that you are dreaming, then you have experienced a lucid/conscious dream, regardless of whether you have been able to attain control of your dream.
I often know I am dreaming, in my dream, but can not alter anything. I think I have developed this as a defense mechanism, because I have such bad dreams, at times.
Yes, those are squirrel salt and pepper shakers on top.
The bride and groom are both recreational tree climbers and have climbed in other countries.
A family member glued the veil/pearls and the bow tie and hat on the squirrels.
I was so glad they did something original... it was adorable. The top cake had orange/cream cheese filling the center layer was raspberry and the bottom layer was strawberry. ************************* I've been able to manipulate my dreams as well. I dream in living color! I was shocked when I first heard of others dreaming in black and white. ************************* And lastly, I was Baptist when I was filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I didn't know what it was, but it gave me peace. I learned about it after 3 years, when I was 16 and visited an Assembly of God church.
Well, I gotta say, I hardly dream at all, and what little I do dream, I don't recall. And I'm pretty certain it's almost all in black and white, too, LOL.
I just thought I'd throw that in, for no particular reason :)
God bless everyone! The Dreamers, along with the rest of us :)
Well! Seems that things aren't all as I made them out to be in my post on the last blog about the blood moon. On the Space.com website, under the "NightSky" link, if you click around you'll find "Starry Sky Online Beta". This is the online version of an excellent astronomy program that will let you enter time, date, and location anywhere in the world, and you'll get a picture of what the night sky looks like. I used this to check out some stuff. (Remember, I'm not using this stuff to predict the future; only as a reflection of events happening in and to Israel.)
First, that image I linked to yesterday: the Saturn-Moon-Regulus triangle shows up only in the early hours of the western US, on the night after the lunar eclipse.
Second, the actual layout of the moon and stars is MUCH more sinister. I used the program to see how the lunar eclipse will look where I live in Iowa and how it will look in Jerusalem. In both cases, the moon and Regulus are so close, Regulus is almost blocked by the moon. Saturn is very close, less than a finger's width away. In Israel, the eclipse starts about 2:30AM, reaches totality around 5:00AM, and the moon sets just after 5:30AM. This would mean a time of great conflict for Israel. Given the close proximity of Saturn, I imagine this would have something to do with Israeli borders. This would make sense if the Shas party does leave the coalition over secret talks with the Palestinians over Jerusalem.
What does strike me as hopeful is that as the eclipse reaches totality around 5:00AM, Jupiter rises in the East. Jupiter would have been identified with HaShem -- the L_rd G_D. For Jupiter to be rising at this time of conflict for Israel shows that G_D has not and will not abandon Israel, no matter what. It could also be a sign of rising religious devotion to HaShem in Israel.
In other news, the science of Astrology made a giant leap forward in credibility when everyone born under the sign of Capricorn was hit by a car today.
Shalom, all! Speaking of dreams, there's a thread going on over at RevivalSchool.com titled, "Prophetic Dream? Time Magazine / February = Disaster" Apparently back in October one of the people had a dream. He describes it:
My dream was brief and distinctly in color (unusual for me) and it was simply a clear image of the front cover of an issue of Time Magazine. The border and all text on the cover was bold and in blood red. Next to "Time Magazine" at the top it clearly said "February". The picture on the front cover was an ominous dark gray cloud of smoke or explosion (no fire was visible) set over a black background with the title "Disaster" as the main headline in red. This picture was the entire content of my dream and was visible in my mind for 5+ minutes before I woke up.
He goes on to say that he felt he had recv'd a warning about something that's going to happen in the US in February (this month). The original thread has gone WAY off topic now, with a raging debate on the Trinity; still, I thought I'd mention it to people and see if anyone else has had a feeling that something is going to happen real soon?
While I didn't live in communist China I did visit there well before it became popular (1983) and we did smuggle Bibles and other literature into the country and actively went out and engaged the Chinese people and witnessed. My rooms were bugged and I was profiled and followed by the secret police. I agree that as far as God fearing and religious liberty go the US is at the top no question.
The point I was actually trying to make is that I don't know that we as a Nation are particularly more accountable than any other nation due to historic religious beliefs etc. Marcie's point at Joel's was that because of the founding fathers and the liberties that we have enjoyed that we are more accountable. I would agree with your assessment of the religious state of the world with the exception of the Far East which is historically Godless as well given Taoism, Buddhism, Animism, Shintoism all of which predate communism at least and some Islam. My other point (not well stated apparently) is that we haven't completely gone down the path that Europe and Canada have gone down-they are much further down the path of Godlessness than we are and yet they also at one time enjoyed many of the same liberties and freedoms that we still enjoy in this country. Again, my point was that why would the US be any more accountable than the others for us to have such judgment fall as discussed in the article that Jeri posted? I still really haven't been answered. I do believe that as a country we will be judged. I don't know when, I don't know how, I would suspect it will be more to do with our treatment of Israel than accountability otherwise (since other countries are worse considering that they are mostly Godless and we are not and God has historically not judged if there were sufficient righteous people to be found) and I think assuming that because the US is so great now that her fall must be extravagantly tragic and due to corporate sin to a certain extent smacks of conceit. Most of the time when God judged a nation in the OT they were taken over by another nation or annhiliated by another nation. Off the cuff, the only nation that I can think of at this point in time who was judged with horrific natural calamities was Egypt at the time of the Exodus and it had more to do with their treatment of God's chosen people than their own corporate sin as a nation. Even Israel who was judged for their corporate religious sin as a nation was judged with war and dissolution of the nation and not with natural disaster catastrophes.
I do realize that God will judge with such things as natural disasters during the Tribulation (keep in mind that I don't believe any of the seal judgments have occurred and we'll just have to disagree on that one) and they do appear in many cases to be very similar to the plagues and judgments of the Exodus but since neither of us believe that the church will be around at that time it's rather a moot point.
true but many people also consider the ability to interact with and consciously change the dream to a different end point to be the goal of lucid dreaming.
it is interesting though that many on this site lucid dream and some are able to change the dream (alesia next time you have a horrible dream and realize that you are dreaming try changing it-give yourself a weapon or ability you don't actually have). I will tell you that most of the non Christians I talk to can't and don't lucid dream. Most of the stuff on lucid dreaming comes from the new age segment of the population. Do you all think that makes us more likely to have prophetic dreams?
Jib, I had my first lucid dream when I was three years old - yes I can remember back to before I was a year old. Anyway, I was having a recurring dream, over several nights, that a dark monster was chasing me. Finally, I was able to realise that it was a dream; I stopped running and the recurring dream ceased.
On a more amusing note, while dreaming that I was sitting in a car with my brother, I suddenly became lucid. I then told my dream brother that this was a dream. He turned to look at me and casually responded, “Yes, but will you remember in the morning?”
BTW, that’s how I met Hyde…in a dream a long time ago.
I don't recall lucid dreaming until my teens but would suspect that I was likely did it before then I just don't remember since I didn't actually actively seek to learn. It scared me half to death because I was able to alter the outcome of the dream. Typically I can only alter dream outcomes if it is a repetitive dream. Isn't the dreamtime stuff from your neck of the woods a form of lucid dreaming?
I have scattered memories from about age 3 but not much before that. My parents took so many pictures of me when I was a kid that sometimes I only know that it is a memory and not from a picture if they couldn't possibly have taken a picture. One of my earliest memories was of a heavily made up women yelling at me (my mom has always worn next to no makeup) while I was in a crib at daycare (provided by mom's place of work in the early 60's). I was probably about 3 years old or perhaps even younger. My mom actually asked me when I told her about it much later in life how come I didn't tell them at the time-uh three years old or less mom
Repetitive dreams usually lead to lucidness. Some New Agers try to use lucid dreaming as a kick off to leaving their bodies - but they are deluded. However, I don't entirely discount some form of conscious mind travelling out of the body - from personal experience. This may be a latent power that mankind may have had before the fall in Eden but is now corrupted. Just a theory.
I have a friend that can, and has, sent me a sense of his presence over several nights. I remember being so sure that he was doing it; I rang him to ask him what he wanted. Sure enough, he was experimenting with concentration techniques. I told him next time just use the phone. When we worked together, I once went out on a date and didn’t tell him about it. The next day, he was able to tell me who I went out with and what car she was driving.
I was pretty heavy into the New Age in those days. I remember trying to send my astral body to the girl above (who I was seeing at the time). As far as I was concerned it didn’t work and I went to sleep. The next day she rang me and told me she had the distinct impression there was some man standing at the foot of her bed…astral stalking? I can relate other stories but I will tell you that as time went on things got murkier and more bizarre.
From a Christian perspective, we are commanded not to seek these experiences and for very good reasons. I really believe people attract demonic forces to themselves when they dabble with these things. God did some amazing work for me to drag me out of that Babylonian culture
The last time I had a precognitive dream was about 3 years ago and I wasn’t looking for it. Not only was it detailed and quite sensational but it was useful information that I needed and I therefore conclude that God, in his graciousness, sent it to me.
Take it from me, stick to prayer, worship and Bible study!
Thank you so much dear Lord for delivering our beloved brother Mac from the New Age cult he was in & helping him to seek & find your loving Grace. Amen?
Dude! (Mac, not Jesus) you gave me goosebumps (& not in a good way)
Jib said: Do you all think that makes us more likely to have prophetic dreams?
When I was 13, the most important person in the world to me was my grandmother. 2 months before she passed away, I had a dream that I was seeing someone in a coffin, I never could see their face. I dreamt this 3 times, on the 3rd dream I saw their face. Within 1 week that person died. That happened to me 3 times, with 3 different people, the last being my grandmother. Nothing like that has happened to me since. I'm very grateful for that (not happening again I mean)
My daughter, as a toddler, used to tell me she dreamt of Jesus & she'd wake up, he'd be at the end of her bed. I was an atheist at the time! So she wasn't hearing about Jesus from me.
So, to answer your question - I believe it is possible.
BTW: I too for the longest time didn't know it was rare to dream in color, I thought everyone did.
They must have made upgrades to Blogger. On Joel's, the comments have a newer, newest button at the bottom. Lori or Marge maybe you should try going there & see if you can get on now.
Alesia, Thanks! Although I am on Dial Up, I'm on a high speed Dial Up :) Which doesn't help with downloading anything. But, I clicked the newer button, and I got to the last comment.
Thanks! That's going to prove helpful, I'm quite sure, especially when Joel's Blog goes on for weeks :)
Hi Alesia, Got your note...thanks! Yes, lots of praying and staying cool/calm when things just aren't clicking. I did the math and I'd say we've changed appx. 13,700 diapers in the last 33 months. Ugh! I'm already missing babyhood, but won't be sorry to see that part of it pass :-)
I'll need to chat with you about all the goodies on your blog (looks great, by the way!) I just added a separate blog to use for all things faith-related. I am going to mention it to friends/family when I send them links to my family blog. I think it will be a good witnessing tool. No content yet, just a name, so I've got my work cut out for me over the next few weeks. I'm also running a family reunion blog so there's always something to update! Anyway, I'll have to learn how to add all the fancy links, etc.
Hi Guys, I have always dreamt in colour and did not know any different. Never to old to learn something new. I will try to control a dream when I next have one! Interesting what we pick up here....
Mac - happy reading!! Granny - where are you? Everything OK? Jib - you need to explain how to do the dream control thing, please. Jim - what is happening about your job? Please keep us posted.
Has anyone got more information and comments on "The False Prophet"? Where are Harold and Grumpy? We need feedback!
I, too, dream in color. Never crossed my mind that you can have B/W dreams. Also, when I was in my 4th year of studying Spanish in high school (at that point I was planning to major in Spanish, so I was reading everything I could find in the language), the people in my dreams began to speak in Spanish. I wasn't in a Spanish-speaking country in my dreams, so everyone...parents, friends, the girl at the checkout counter, etc. were conversing with me in the language I was spending so much time learning. My teacher said that's when you know you're really acquiring the language. Haven't dreamed that way in a long time, but I don't use my Spanish much these days.
the lucid dreaming and control of dreams is not something I asked for or particularly wanted truthfully nor do I have any idea how I do it. It just happens. The first time it happened it just really floored me. I've learned to not be freaked out by it anymore and it thankfully doesn't seem to happen very often. It more happens for me seemingly in times of great duress and stress. I really have never known whether to consider it a gift of God or otherwise. I honestly didn't even know what it was called for the longest time and now don't remember how I found out about it-may be newsweek or time or something. It would have to have been print magazine-for all I know it was people magazine.
Mac
very scary experiences. I don't really remember the last lucid/control dream I had. My last really stressful time was about 2 years ago. Sometimes if work doesn't go well I'll replay the incident in my mind and try to change the outcome and can't.
He came home from the hospital then rehab and my (step) mother hired a male, Don, to assist.
I think Don is a Christian. I have not spoken with him directly about it (yet) but his female friends who are in the same line of work are all Christians (I guess even the term "Christians can mean most anything these days though!).
Anyway, my father suddenly started doing very well...then apparently had a mild heart attack. They did not think he was going to make it thru the night as his vital signs were really low and he was not responding.
THEN, he woke up and said good morning to the nurse and day by day he's improving and is getting ready to be released.
The thing is that my mother has hired Don to spend a good chunk of the day with my father while he is in the hospital...and he will be there 24/6 after that.
They are getting along fabulously!
They talk about all kinds of things, which is amazing as just a few weeks ago my Dad was really out of it.
So PLEASE keep praying! For Don, for my father and for all of God's lost creation, in Jesus' name, Amen!
I find this very interesting because it was reported that Soros has funded Obama as well. Warren Buffit has bailed out some banks to the tune of $800 million, so things are not well. Please remember that if the US catches a cold the rest of us get bad flu, if not pneumonia!!! Thanks for the feed back on dreams and dreaming. Never really worried about it and so won't start now. Please pray for South Africa as we are approaching a very difficult time and I will pray for you guys and your elections to go God's way. Have a great day. jeri
I just had a conversation with one of my girl's Christian dance teacher. I overheard that she likes to read books so we were talking about what type (Christian Fiction) so she asked me about what I read. So I told her prophesy type books and she brought up that she's really quite a "dreamer." She has a book on it but I don't think she's really explored it in depth.
So It's been on my mind lately as I've been reading the different posts.
I've always dreamed in color and in the past had changed the outcomes of reaccuring dreams. Most of this was done in my teenage/younger years. I can't recall anything of that nature for at least 15 years.
However there was one event in my life which I've told maybe a couple of people-but it's something that I'll never forget.
I was spending the night at a relative's house in the 70's. I was probably from 8-12 yrs old.(Just don't remember.) But while I was sleeping I heard a loud "groaning type noise getting louder and louder" and I was frozen stiff. A fear ran though me and I couldn't move-I tried to wake myself up but couldn't. Then I felt like my spirit was being pulled out of my body- like a tug of war was going on- I felt it was something evil trying to take me into a darkness but there was something pulling me back-I cried out to God-I think I remember seeing a speck of light at some point . I could see myself lying in bed asleep. I was screaming but nothing was coming out my mouth.I couldn't move a muscle. It's like I was turned to stone.
It was the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to me in my life.
I been digging 40 days! It has been hectic here at Rapture Me Ranch! But this is a new day and I am turning it all over to the Lord. He can handle it better than me and still keep his cool! Someone fed our kitty something that made her very ill. She is fine now but it got a little serious for a while.
MAC, I join you in that Lost Sheep Category of the Past. You know, one of the things I can witness to others who are going through the same thing is, God doesn't stop wooing and pursuing us. We are the ones who back away and don't want to fellowship with HIM anymore. That is one of the reasons I have problems with people who try real hard to convince me that they weren't aware that they were falling away! OH, YES YOU ARE! One reason I know this is that the wooing comes from a Holy God and he desires our company more than he does our offerings.
Now, you can all argue with that statement all you want, but long before we ever gave the Lord a second thought, he was pursuing us. He created Adam for communion. Fellowship, relationship, whatever form that takes. Praying, worshiping, bible study, witnessing or I like this better than any of them, sharing my life and love with someone that I can trust and love without measure and he loves me back.
One thing I can tell you all is that he never quits loving us and he will send out the Good Shepherd with his shepherd's crook to bring us back every time.
Now back to dreams! I used to have horrific dreams that would come true. Some of the characters would be changed but the circumstances surrounding them never changed. Minute details that I wouldn't even notice in real time. They scared me to Salvation! I predreamed an era of history in great detail and then when it began to come true I was in horrible fear! I knew the next phase of that dream was about to become reality and I was the center of the thing. I couldn't stop it from happening but I could warn the people involved. As the final portion of the drama was coming to fruit, a Holy Spirit filled lady came to our house one morning and started sharing Jesus Christ, Crucified, resurrected and alive with me. This lady and her husband had recently moved to our little backwater town in Missouri from Chicago, Ill. and were part of the great teaching in Wheaton, Illinois. Now if you could see this little town you would know that their moving to it had to be an act of God. The country is beautiful with rolling hills, trees that take your breath away and fertile ground but the area was below poverty. The people were defeated and morals were very loose. God on Sunday only! Oh, and at funerals!
What I am trying to get across is, after I was saved the dreams of terror stopped. HOW! I asked the Lord to stop them because his word said "I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind". He also said that the sleep (rest) of the saints is sweet and peaceable. Then I started praising him for doing it and standing on his promises.
Now when I dream I know that there will be night visions that truly come from God but when that happens I know without a doubt it is Him. The Holy Spirit is the only spirit that is allowed in my bedroom. You see, it is a choice!
There is quite a large amount of study papers on lucid dreaming (conscious dreaming) done by highly respected doctors and scientist but the origins of the lucid dreaming seems to come from Tibet. The psychiatrist that I was associated with did an extensive study on this back in the 60's but recently there has been a big interest in it. I think a lot of it comes from the New Agers group but not sure.
When you first mentioned it I was really surprised at what you said. I didn't realize you could control your dreams circumstances and outcome. But color visions, everytime. Black and white would be boring.
I am working on my blog today so I probably won't be around much but I will check in now and then. You are all doing so great and it is interesting the subjects that are coming up.
I just had time to read the comments. One observation re Methodists. My mother was baptised at 16 in a creek in 1929. At the time they still had footwashing in the Methodist church. She is now 94 and still goes to the little country church where she moved her membership in 1940. My personal opinion from what I hear and see is that if John or Charles Wesley came back today, it would be a rerun of Jesus clearing out the moneychangers in the temple. Has anyone read The Overcoming Life by DL Moody? I went to the bookstore to get a Strong's (which I have not had the time to really get into) and found it. I am still trying to work my way through it. As I told my boss, it could have been written last week instead of last century. I also found the Archeological Bible that's been mentioned (very interesting). I wish my workload would lighten up because I haven't had time to think about posting all the questions I have.
ah well-until I did it I didn't know that dreams could be controlled either. truly came out of left field. the first time it happened I had had a truly disturbing dream of mass murder by a lone shooter with a machine gun and when I had the dream again I realized in the middle of the dream that I had dreamt this before, knew what was going to happen , how it was going to happen, and took active steps to prevent the bad outcome and the dream then had a happy ending with know one being killed and the shooter being caught.
I really didn't think anything about it until I did realize that it was more consistent with a new age philosophy and that is when I began to question it. I have to say I don't know that I have had much since-perhaps a few. Generally the changes I make are to change the outcome to a positive outcome as opposed to a negative out come. The last significant amount was in 1997-1998 for about 6 months to a year-the same dream ,several times a week and sturggling to adjust the outcome. It was a particularly dark time in my life. I don't remember the exact details but was able to break the negative cycle I think around the time I cried out to God that I realized that I needed to change locations and jobs but if He really wanted that to happen He was going to have to provide a way because He led me to the knowledge that a change needed to be made about 1.5 years before it happened, I went on several failed interviews, a new job didn't appear and the old job got progressively worse and worse. I broke the negative cycle by learning to soar and glide on wind currents to get away. Now when I have stressful times I generally remember in the dream that I can soar away and wake up much more refreshed, less anxious and more able to wait on God.
You want dreams? How about dreaming that you've got to go to the bathroom but every time you find one it's either occupied or it has no walls and there are people walking about.
Donna - sounds like Don may just be an answer to prayers! Will continue to pray for your father.
Grany - Glad to hear from you, too. NO pressure (& take as a complimet) but we need you around a wee bit more often! :)
To continue the dream theme - my stepmom called me today to say she thinks she almost died lastnight. She had a dream where my father came to here & wanted to take her with him. He took her hand & was pulling her along & she said she was so happy & peaceful. Then all of a sudden, she realized she couldn't go with him & tried to pull away, but he held strong pleading with her to join him. She had to beg him to let her go back.
The thing that really got my attention was she said she looked, how she looks now, but my dad was in perfect physical condition, as a young man with a full head of hair. She never knew my dad when he was that age, they met & married when he was in his 40's.
I told her about our discussions the last few days about dreams & she really got excited.
I think our Lord works in wonderous ways! For awhile now I've really noticed how the folks in our little group of fellowship here have had such similar life experiences. We have a near perfect blend of people here, we seem diverse, yet share enough of the same things to be able to properly relate & help raise each other up. I really feel it is a little miracle from God for us to have each other. Thank you Lord!
Mac - I think that just means you have to go in real life! That's your mind's way of trying to wake you up so you don't have an accident!!! LOL
For those of you who like getting into the original Greek and Hebrew tranliterations - this is free software for that purpose. It takes a while to learn to drive but can be very helpful with study: Interlinear Scripture Analyzer 2.0 basic
I dreamed my father (who has been in an alzheimers facility for about 4 months) was dying/going to die. It was a short dream segment but got me thinking.
I could have had this dream anytime since it would be in the back of my mind but last night was the 1st time.
I spoke with my mother today and the doctor told her yesterday that his system is shutting down and he's going to die.
My mom is somewhat suprised since he had been eating pretty good up until a couple days ago.
Hum. I guess the timing of my dream would be possible(given the circumstances) but not probable.
Lisa, it sounds as if we are going thru similar things. Please know that you and your husband and kids and parents and everyone else will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
My prayers are with you and your family. I lost my own father a year ago at this time (when his systems shut down), and while it is sad, it is also a blessing.
As you can see by Beth's message below, the Dr. believes that he is healing as far as the colon is concerned. He has regained a lot of strength; quite a difference from 2 weeks ago when he was literally on his death bed. His progress truly has been miraculous. His sence of humor is also returning; I could hear him laughing while on the phone with her today. Our prayers are working. She also thanks you for the cards, calls, etc. So keep up the constant barrage on heaven's gate for his complete healing.
I love each of you for your faithfulness; you are all wonderful. (Sharon) ************************* Re: prayer for Geoff
Thank you so much for the prayers for Geoff. Actually, all the staff at the hospital were praying for Geoff and were telling him not to give up and keep looking to Jesus! We had favor and it was such a blessing. We could feel all of the prayers. Now please pray that God performs another miracle and totally removes his cancer as there is no conventional treatment for this kind of cancer. Love to all, Beth (Geoff's wife)
May God himself, our Father, and our Lord Jesus make it possible for us to come to you very soon. And may the Lord make your love grow and overflow to each other and to everyone else, just as our love overflows toward you. As a result, Christ will make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy when you stand before God our Father on that day when our Lord Jesus comes with all those who belong to him. 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 NLT
A prayer for love
When Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, his love and concern for them were apparent in every word. When he prayed for them, he asked the Lord to make their love for one another overflow. Paul prayed that the Thessalonian church might become a loving, supporting community of faith. The strong, silent, loner Christian didn't fit into Paul's understanding of how God works among his people.
Each of us needs each other. God uses other believers to strengthen us and make us holy. As you pray for strength to be faithful to God, you should expect his answer to come through those believers who worship every Sunday with you. Likewise, you should earnestly pray that God might use you to strengthen other believers.
Prayer for today: O God, help my love to grow and overflow to other believers…
I have your prayer requests in hand and I will be joining you all in praying for these needs.
JIM those dates will soften over time but it will always be a reminder of the love factor that was physically present at one time. The love never dies and someday soon we will reunite with them forever.
NOW MAC, That scripture4all link for the Greek/Hebrew translations is great. I am adding it to my laptop because when I go somewhere I can't take my reference books with me, I would need another vehicle. This will replace about 20 pounds of added printed materials and all in one easy rolling case. Thanks to you my arms won't get longer from the heavy loads. I checked it out and I really like it. I have used AMG's before but it was so complicated that I gave up on it. It could have just been me at the time I was so very busy. Anyway, I love this one and cannot thank you enough.
All you guys dreaming made me have a giant one last night. No pots in mine however!
Hi All--As always it was interesting and inspiring to read all the posts. I have just been feeling very overwhelmed and disconnected lately. I cant stand when the busyness of life takes over and it seems all things earthly monopolize my time. Being responsible for others--I am not sure how to slow down and there are certain commitments and obligations I cant turn away from--I have to see them through. And yet--I find every day I am little more stressed, a little more angry--and a lot less tolerant. What I do that takes me away from Him makes me sad and disappointed in myself. I dont know how to change things. Its just a couple more months of the chaos--but I am an unhappy camper when things get like this. How do I stop?
Donna and Lisa--my thoughts and prayers are with you...
Islam post dates even Christianity BUT they have co-opted many of the Patriarchs of Judaism and claimed they were Muslim. They do this based on Ishmael claiming that he was the promised son whose Descendant would bless the world and that he was the one that Abraham nearly sacrificed. Not true of course but that's what they claim.
oh can I relate. I find that fellowshipping and sharing with Christians of like mind helps immensely-it doesn't replace your walk with Christ but greatly enhances it and makes you more aware of your support system.
Hi jcchick, I will add prayers for a renewed well of strength and fresh waves of peace to wash over you during this stressful time...I can relate and know how the guilt and disappointment can further the problems. Here's a Valentine's Day verse for you and all other moms at the cave...
The Love Chapter for Parents
If I spend my days building skyscrapers with blocks, assembling cool stuff out of Legos and creating relationships with other moms at Starbucks, but have not love, I am only the siren of the kids’ ride-on-fire truck, annoyingly stuck on hold.
If I have the gift of knowing which child attempted to flush the Hot Wheels down the toilet and which one pushed her sister, and I have faith that somehow we’ll survive life’s emergencies but have not love, I am nothing.
If I save all my box tops for school and give outgrown clothing to the local shelter, and if I surrender my body to stretch marks and under-eye circles (without the benefit of Botox, tanning salons or diet bars), but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient when someone isn’t ready to use the big girl potty. It is kind when my husband has a hard day. It doesn’t envy my neighbor who drives a new sport utility vehicle I can’t afford.
It is not rude, snapping at my spouse or children when things don’t go my way. It is not easily angered at perceived or real injustices.
It always protects the smallest, sweetest family confidences; always trusts God to provide my children’s needs; always hopes in the freshness of tomorrow and the bright future of family; always perseveres amid hardship and doubt.
Where there are sleepless nights, they shall end. Where there are diapers, Little League and dioramas built from shoeboxes, they will cease. Where there is knowledge of babycare trends, discipline strategies and boy-girl problems, it will pass away.
Now these three remain; faith, lived out in my daily circumstances and instilled in my children; hope, of one day rejoincing with my family in Heaven; and love, which covers a multitude of less-than-perfect moments.
But the greatest of these is love. It is what remains….long after I am gone. (from Aug. 2007 Focus on the Family magazine, Cindy Sigler Dagnan.)
JIB, Thanks....I hadn't considered the lineage factor back to Abraham. I was thinking, wait a minute, Joseph didn't even have the option to worship Allah! Kinda like the Mormon post-mortem baptism into the faith I guess. Sad thing is, many will accept it without question. Blessings, Jen
My heart goes out to you and I do know how you feel. I could tell you to reserve a time period that is strictly yours but that is really ludicrous and would only add more press to your overworked nervous system. I will tell you that God hears your hearts cry and he is the only one who can apply the salve to it. You can ask him to apply the peace that passes all understanding without missing a beat in your daily chores and assignments. Doesn't have to be long and formal, he is your Abba after all.
I am adding my prayers to all of those here at the cave for your complete restoration and renewal. I miss you greatly and remember, you add to our lives also and just knowing you is a joy to me and others.
Love you greatly and telling you SHALOM SISTER, Grany
Jen, Loved the poem and I can relate to it even if it was years ago. Everytime I spend a few days with my Grandkids and their children I am immediately reminded of it too. I have to water the seeds of God that have been planted in their hearts with love! No love, no growth to God. Both to them and me!
Regarding the latest news about the ridiculous burning of Joseph's tomb. Another fact about this latest is something we were told by our Jewish guides in Israel. The PLO/Islamist are trying to wipe out any evidence of historical Israel. In so doing, they are firmly taught that without the evidence of a previous land of Israel, by way of artifacts, they can lay claim to first ownership of the land. When they say such things as "wipe Israel off of the face of the world", etc., they truly mean complete removal of all evidence to the very existence of God's covenant with Isaac and Jacob.
Not empty words as far as they are concerned. That is why all of the historical places are so cherished by the Muslims and Arabs in general. They don't have a clue that the land is God's, not Allah! That Jerusalem is HIS HOLY CITY and that they are just heaping coals on their heads by all of this wagging of their tongues against the Jews.
JC, there is light... IMHO all moms face these same feelings at some point in their lives. Some of us a few times.
1994 was a difficult year for me. I had 3 children under the age of seven, and my mom living with me. She was dying from lung cancer. I had to get my two older children off to school and then take care of mom and a three year old. I was only one who could take care of her morphine pump. (I was specially trained by a nurse that the hospital had flown in. For obvious reasons, they do not train the patient.) So when her pump beeper would alarm me at all hours, I'd have to get to work on it. Mind you, I'm not a night owl, so 3am wasn't ideal.
There were times I couldn't remember when I had showered last, let alone had time alone with God or my husband.
Somehow, God helped me through. Maybe, even some of you were praying for me, during that time, albeit unknowingly.
The title of Mom is a honor and a priviledge. It is being on-call 24/7 without pay or holidays.
It has so many rewards, even though the only reward somedays might be one less load of laundry.
Some chores have to wait. I'm pretty sure no one has ever died from an extra day of dust, or a shirt worn twice. (my kids are living proof)
Christ will carry you through this valley, JC, and we will be praying for you.
I am back on that article about Joseph's Tomb being burned and I want to point out something in that article to support what I stated previously.
"Biblical hero Joseph 'was really a Muslim' Palestinians make astonishing claim, deny they'll help restore burned tomb Posted: February 14, 2008 1:00 am Eastern In the wake of an attempt by Palestinians to burn down Joseph's Tomb – Judaism's third holiest site – Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction issued a statement denying it will help restore the shrine, referring to both the shrine and the biblical patriarch as 'Muslim.'"
You have to understand that Muslim's lie and distort the truth so to take them at their word is dangerous to everyone. They do not revere their word. It is a tool or weapon, depending on what they are using it for. If they have a desire to achieve something unthinkable and unattainable as a Muslim, they will deny they are Muslim long enough to accomplish their goal. Does this bring anyone to ming right away? Think Politics, now think Democrats, now think Obama! Why does rumors of his disrespect of the the American Flag, the pledge of Allegiance and many other things like "Present" during roll call in the Senate voting process?
I believe we are in extremely dangerous waters and you better know how to swim really well if you are going to survive it all. In other words, I DON'T TRUST HIM!
I agree with JIB one more time! Carpathia just oozes from his pores and my husband goes ballistic everytime he hears him say anything. Jim says that the man is dangerous to us as a nation and doesn't hesitate to announce it to everyone. People just give him a blank look and keep right on talking. Are they being deceived by the power of the antichrist? Or is it just because we are all so fed up with the whole Government establishment in our country? Doesn't seem to be only one party any way!
We are going to be gone for a few hours and beings this is the day for sweethearts, we are going to have a romantic dinner at our favorite Cafe! Bean sprouts are not on the menu tonight. LOL
Love you all and I elect each one of you as "Sweetheart of the Year".
Lori Amen and second that on motherhood. The two best days of my life (not counting the day I was saved) are my wedding day and the day my son was born. Other great days-the day I found out I was pregnant, the first ultrasound, the day my hubby proposed. Then comes all the schooling, finishing my training etc. Those pale in comparison!
Chicky - I'm sorry to hear you're going through such a hard time, I certainly can empathize.
My problem at the moment, is the exact opposite though. I am so engrossed in studying, at a fever pitch, that everything else is falling by the wayside. I have an astronomical amount of responsibility on my shoulders & I just don't seem to care! that is so completely not the typical me, it's ridiculous I am having a really hard time finding a proper balance.
I thought if mac can have a picture on his blog then I can have one here. But if people prefer not having one, I'll remove it. It shouldn't affect dial-up users.
I agree whole-heartedly that Obama is dangerous. No one seems to know what he really stands for. I have read that the people he surrounds himself with are very anti-semitic or anti Israel. As far as his charisma is concerned, I find that disturbing too. I remember a particular German leader from the 1940's that was known for his charisma and mantra of "Change".
Howdy partner! You said something that really went kabonggggg inside me. You said "I remember a particular German leader from the 1940's that was known for his charisma and mantra of "Change".
I remember my grandparents on my mother's side being really upset when they would hear Hitler's speeches on the radio. They spoke fluent German and Grandpa wouldn't be able to sleep that night. Hitler was known to hold his listeners "spell bound" and the people would erupt in noisy applause. Grandpa said they were being deceived and any normal person would be able to know the difference. You could them both praying long after everyone else was in bed for the night.
The word that hit me was Charisma and that word has lots of additional meanings. Check out Charisma at this link: "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charisma
The Charismatic Movement in Evangelical Churches is another form of that word. The Holy Spirit is often referred to as being Charismatic.
Texasdave & Grany, I was listening to an interview with some politician today. No one I'd recognize and I think he actually isn't in an elected seat right now, but he was talking about how he's leading a group called "Republicans for Obama" or some such name. When asked why he has left his party for Obama, he said that Obama touches on feelings he had 10 years ago when he was running for office...the whole 'change' and 'hope for a new day' stuff. But what really caught my attention was when he used the word "channeling"....he said that he felt drawn to Obama because he (Obama) was channeling his own person from a decade ago when he was in the same position, running for office. Made me do a double-take....could have just been an interesting choice of words, but with everything else going on, it seemed a little too coincidental for my tastes!
I'm just waiting for the trumpet...every little thing gets me jumpy and tingly. A few night ago we had snowthunder. For those who have never heard it, it's thunder, but it doesn't travel because of the muffling affect of snow in the air. Basically, it's a very local, loud rumble that starts and stops rather suddenly. Everyone on the street was outside looking around, trying to see if a plane had crashed or something. I had one of the kids in the tub and I thought, little guy, you're going to meet your Father in your birthday suit! LOL!
There is one question I would ask Obama if I was ever given the chance. I would ask him if he believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If he refuses to answer that question then I will know from what camp he is from.
What is it about him that is causing the mass hysteria? My husband gets livid when he even hears him speak and looks me right in the eye and says, he (Obama) is the worst possible thing that could happen to the USA. Jim isn't saved! What is he seeing? He won't tell me just that under no circumstances will he allow one vote to be cast for Obama. Oh, did I forget to tell you that one of the degrees my husband has earned is psychology? My husband has held positions in various fields of interest and one of the ones he was especially good in was psychology. He is an outstanding Home Builder and was a partner with his father in this part of Oklahoma for many decades but that was not his main interest. He used building houses to relieve stress like some women sew or do crafts to relieve tension.
What I am trying to get at is JIM is seeing something very dangerous in Obama and is not willing to discuss it with me or anyone else right now. But it was an instant reaction and I have never known him to react this strongly before. It will be interesting to try figuring it out.
YOU all have a great evening and keep the bats out of the cave for Mr. Hyde. Sweet dreams everyone and this is Grany signing off, you copy?
I am convinced Obama will be the next president of the USA. Just a feeling I have...G_d may decide otherwise. But as I said before, my spirit tells me he's baaaaad news!
Something about him gives me the...yes it has been said before...the creeps!
Btw...something I heard early on this morning on the radio was a message about whether today I will live according to the desires of the flesh or the desires of the Spirit...the one leads to death and the other to Life. Today, I will live according to the desires of the Spirit...may G_d help me in Jesus name. Amen.
Obama The president of the US.....the leader of the North American Union....the leader of the United Global Government.
It is a progression that seemed ridiculous only a few years ago, but seems entirely plausible now.
It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic to see people fawning over Obama while he says nothing of substance.
"We need CHANGE! I will change the change that others have changed in the past and change it into a better change that hasn't been changed before! You will be changed! I will be changed! The world will be changed!! Then we will change that change into another change that will change the way people view changing changed changes. Oh, (in a whisper) and I will also remove all the change from your pockets to pay for my change."
Nice view from the cave! Thank you for your prayers. You are all in mine.
Interesting update....apparently my dad is not doing well on some new meds that were prescribed. He is in a hospital room with a man who apparently is dying from cancer. The other man has a minister who is there everyday and they pray and talk, from what my (step) mother says.
My father, on the other hand, has been cursing and taking the Lord's name in vain, etc, while the minister is trying to pray and minister to the man in the same room.
Apparently the minister has spoken with my Dad as well, although I have no idea what the content was.
My mother is really embarrassed and mortified by my father's behavior.
I don't know what to make of any of it.
I do hope and pray that God is using this entire situation to bring my dad, the guy in the bed next to him and everyone else involved to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
As the EU prepares to name the first permanent president of the member-states, 27 of them now and sure to include additional states in the future, one name keeps surfacing as the very first European president, Tony Blair, the former PM of Great Britain.
French President Sarkozy, German Chancellor Merkel, Gordon Brown, current PM of the UK, and even US President George W. Bush have suggested Tony Blair would make a great president of Europe. In response to these suggestions, the former UK PM said that he is increasingly willing to put himself forward for the job if it comes with real power to make a difference.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The EU with a permanent powerful president is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.
The former PM of the UK, Tony Blair, is today the Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet, the US, EU, UN and Russia. Blair has an office in Jerusalem where he has been playing a major role in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. This European leader has been holding discussions with some of his oldest allies on how he could mount a campaign to become the first full-time president of the European Council. The President of the European Council is a post created under the Lisbon Treaty and he would chair Europe's chief decision making body. The EU-Lisbon Treaty to be implemented in 2009 would set in place a perfect prototype of the political power and position that is called for in Bible prophecy.
Daniel, an ancient Jewish prophet, revealed 2,500 years ago a scenario that calls for the revival of the old Roman Empire. It will have a leader known as the Antichrist, a very powerful political leader, Daniel 9:7-24. Do not misunderstand me now, I am not saying that the EU is the revived Roman Empire and that Tony Blair is the Antichrist, what I am saying is that both the EU and Tony Blair are perfect prototypes of what Bible prophecy calls for in the Last Days
Donna, Frucht has an interesting take on the subject of the one world government etc but really too detailed to reproduce here. Suffice it to say his comments are that the 4th gentile kingdom usually felt to represent just the Roman Empire of old isn't correct. He feels that the 4th gentile kingdom is a staged thing with the Roman Empire being stage one and the one world government, 10 kingdoms, the AC all being later stages of the same 4th empire. His reasoning is complex and not reproducible here at least not be me this AM since I'm in a bit of a hurry.
he also made a rather startling claim about the AC-that he will be the product of a sexual union between Satan and a roman woman! In other words-the ultimate nephilim.
There are lots of thoughts and theories out there. I would suggest we keep plugging away at and watch and pray, and not get too "locked into" any single theory yet.
God is sovereign. He is in full control of all things.
Many things will happen to try to deceive people, 'even the elect, if possible.'
I would not suggest going to overboard with other peoples dreams and visions, either. Proceed with caution!
MR. HYDE I LOVE THE NEW MURAL. You been busy and out of your closet again but I like your productivity.
DAVEY! I read your comment to hubby and he is still laughing and out of control. He said, "He's got it!" meaning you! I have to tell you, you have changed my idea of voting for him. I don't have any change in my pockets so you know he will take what ever he wants to take and the desire will only grow greater.
The red light that came on was over the info regarding his pastor's invitiing Farrakhan to preach at their church. RED LIGHTS BLINKING AND SIRENS BREAKING THE AIR WAVES WARNING, WARNING, WARNING.
It is not race and it is not all of the other things usually associated with political dislike. My hair stands up straight on end when he starts expounding "Change". You did great and so stinking funny.
Made my day!
Donna, thanks for sharing Jimmy's comments. Very well said.
Here's a swift kick to the hornet's nest: If you had the chance to kill the person you believed to be the Antichrist, would you take it?
I've seen so many different people say stuff like, "The revived Roman Empire is here!" or "No, it's over here!" The thing is, I don't think we'll know who is playing what role until it's too late -- and maybe not even then.
JIM, no can do with the Antichrist killing. That is the assignment of the angels, and then only at the command of the King of Kings.
I agree with you about the ID being known but I do think we will have our suspicions before we are raptured out of here. I know you don't believe in the rapture according to RCC doctrine but Jim, I am going to save a place for you at the Cafe Hallelujah because buddy, you is going up right along with the rest of us! Well GLORY!
The note from Beth came this week. I spoke with her today. He had a bad day yesterday as they bring him down off the pregnisone. He was in pain, but someone had given them tickets to a charitable event for a local choral group that was held at a church last night. It was a catered dinner, the group served and then people gave donations besides to send this church group travelling. Anyway he enjoyed it immensely and she said it was a joy for him to get out. The group leader made an announcemnet about Geoff being a cancer survivor and he was immersed in the love of everyone there as they came up to greet him afterwards. It was also their anniversary. The other good news is they have been approved for Medicaid to cover most of the hospital bill -- all except $6300 -- it was $63,000.
Thanks so much and ask your prayer warriors to continue for Geoff
Just to let you all know that Geoff's doctor's appt. went well yesterday and they are reducing his steroids and other meds. Also, they called today with results of blood and urine labs and said everything looks normal which means he is no longer anemic. He just needs to drink more water. (don't we all!). Thanks for all your prayers--please keep praying for the really big miracle! Love, Beth
How are you? I am glad to here that your operation went well. I meant to send you an email a couple of weeks ago to ask how you were, but I am frequently bad at keeping up contacts with people. Sorry. I will try to get better. :-)
You asked where Grumpy and I were. Grumpy has been working his tail off lately, so I don't think he gets much time to read the blog or post. I am trying to get through several books that have piled on my bookshelf, so I have fallen way behind in reading this blog and Joel's blog.
Grumpy and I have also been busy researching and discussing some new end times scenarios lately that are very unsettling. No, they do not involve Nephilim, or aliens, or earthquakes, or conspiracy theories etc. I am not going to discuss them on the blog until I have researched them much more thoroughly.
If the readers of this blog have read the head lines that Joel posted today, they will have noticed that he talks about Imad Mughniyah's assassination. I have been following this psycho's career for two or three years now. I have read a lot of books and articles that talk about him. I have thought he was the most dangerous man on the planet for quite sometime now. If I had the choice of a meteorite falling on any person on the planet, he would have been that person. I know that sounds unChristian, but this guy was the ultimate in evil.
When I heard the news on Wednesday about his "unfortunate accident" I felt like the Giants had won the Super Bowl again. To quote Mark Twain, "I regret I was unable to attend the funeral, but I did approve of it."
The jpost has at least half a dozen new articles talking about Mughniyah's death and his importance as a terror leader for Iran, Syria, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah, Hizbullah, Al Qaeda, terrorists in Iraq and terrorists everywhere else in the world. He was the guy that bridged the gap between many of these terror organizations and helped them work together, as well as being the guy who pretty much invented terrorist bombing of embassies, government buildings, etc.
I don't think the significance of his death can be understated. The U.S. and other countries have been trying to eliminate this guy since 1983. In my opinion, his death is much more significant than if the U.S. finally took out Bin Laden. Bin Laden is easily replaceable, but Mughniyah is not.
It will be interesting to see if this assassination triggers the escalation in violence that Hizbullah and other terrorist organizations are calling for in retaliation.
I did notice you were back and I hope you don't think we are hopelessly self absorbed and rude. I got distracted and busy and so didn't take the time to say welcome back. BTW my husband likes your picture-Army of Darkness?
Boroeagle (Scott) it is great seeing you back again. I am sorry that I didn't respond earlier but I became ensnared in a discussion at Joel's that is still ongoing. Hope you are doing great and everything is up to snuff for you.
We just received word that our closest long time friend passed away yesterday and it has really hit home hard. Tommie Sue was her name and she was one very special lady and dear friend. Our friendship goes back many decades and her husband was a childhood friend and confident of my Jim. We spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Tommie Sue, eating, shopping and checking out mansions in Arkansas where she had relocated to from Kansas. We loved the fellowship and it is the precious kind that only a gracious father can bestow on us. Yes, she is in heaven and I know that she is enjoying the presence of the Lord. This Lady was the epitome of the word Friend. I miss you already but we brought down the curtain on her life in great style with no regrets and only love, joy and laughter to carry us on.
Wilma, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Thank God you'll see her again in the heavenly cafe. YOU can introduce us when we get there.
Hi Harold, I saw the news about this guys assasination too. I didn't know who he was. What I did notice is that a lot of rebel leaders around the world are suddenly being executed. He's the third one I've seen in two weeks, and you can't forget about Bhutto two months ago. I don't think it's a coincindence that this is happening. Perhaps I've read too much fiction. Any takes on this?
It is so hard to know what is going on. I wouldn't be surprised if Iran had Mughniyah killed just to fire up the rest of the radicals. However, my money is still on the Mossad.
That is one of the things I really admire about the Israelis. They don't strut around, boast, threaten , whine and pound their chests like the Muslim radicals do. The just get things done very efficiently and keep quiet about it.
As for the other radicals being rubbed out lately, I don't know if there is a connection between the assassinations or if their time just ran out. Accidents do happen. :-)
No, I haven't heard of Frank Caw before. I just checked out the link you posted to his site. Wow! There is a lot of reading material there! Thanks for the link.
I will have to file that away for later. I just checked out six books on the Ottoman Empire from the library today. That should keep my busy for awhile. :-)
Re Frank Caw - he is basing much of his interpretations solely on the Book of Daniel and the 4 Gospels, - forgetting that these are addressed to the House of Israel, not the Church, and also is taking the Book of Revelation literally, instead of symbolically, as instructed by Jesus in Revelation 1:1 (as indicated by the word "signified" in the NKJV).
Doing this leads to all sorts of wrong time lines, and assumptions about people such as the AC and the False Prophet.
It is also clear from Paul's writings in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that the AC will not be revealed until after the pre-tribulation rapture (gr apostasia = departure) - when the Church is removed from the scene. So any attempt to do so is bound to be potentially misleading.
Evening all, I quickly scanned the info at Caw's site and followed a link to an article by Tim McHyde. (I think the Caw site is hosting the McHyde site...that was mentioned at some point. And I think Caw passed away in 2005.) Anyway, McHyde states as a reason that the rapture cannot happen in 2008 that
"Also according to Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15, Jesus must return after a 3½ year Great Tribulation that starts with the standing up of the abomination of desolation statue and the stopping of daily animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount. There are no sacrifices even started to be stopped, nor a temple even under construction yet." Sounds mid-trib to me....not sure if Caw agrees, but those 2 sites are linked in any case.
Re Caw, I'm pretty sure he's Pre-Trib. I've only had a chance to read a little bit of his material. I asked because I'd never heard of him before and am usually very cautious with material I'm not familiar with. I figure if his eschatological theories were viable I would have come across his name before. But then I have a deep respect for Berner and I hadn’t come across him until I went to Goodgame’s site.
Test all things!
John, I do believe Tommy Ice agrees with you regarding the apostasia. I've seen both sides of the argument and tend to change my opinion depending on which day of the week it is. Hope you're right.
I’ve been studying Revelation and the timing of the events like the two witnesses and the 144,000 etc. It’s very interesting to me that it is the Angels who seal the 144,000. There’re a few other things in Rev which IMO suggest that the church isn’t present, despite Post-Trib and ¾ week assertions. But I'm still looking at it. Wish I didn’t have ADD. I find I can only study for a bit then have to walk away from it.
Morning all, Clarification on the Caw site...I reread it this AM and found that I had things backward.... McHyde is hosting the Caw site. This info is posted at the side bar:
"From 1974 and until he passed away in June of 2005, Frank Caw devoted a considerable amount of time to research and study in Bible prophecy and related philosophical and theological issues. This website is dedicated by his family to his memory and work and is as he presented it at the time of his death. The family of Frank Caw, Jr. would like to thank Tim McHyde of EscapeAllTheseThings.com for hosting his website."
And yes, Mac, I did read in many instances where Caw's material states his beliefs are based on a pre-trib rapture. Thanks for pointing out that difference. It's a bit tricky because you don't easily notice that you're on two different people's websites.
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. That is so great that you got to spend such a wonderful time together before she went home to the Lord. It is wonderful to think that you will see her again.
Scott, we are so glad you are back...and we hope all is well.
Grany, we are sorry to hear about your friend. Please know our thoughts are with you and your friends and family.
It is not easy to lose people we love, even if we know they are in a better place.
Jeri we are glad you are doing well after your operation.
So often I think of the things you all have written about pertaining to your personal lives...I and the rest of us may not always respond, as JIB pointed out, but we DO care!
I just had to tell you all something....I was reading a NY newspaper...a question was raised to several religious leaders, asking them what one thing these religious leaders would like people to know.
Well, not one of them said anything about Jesus being the Christ and salvation coming thru faith and grace thru Jesus Christ.
I was reading this article on Haaretz. Here is the link. Copy and paste.
www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/954691.html
The picture on the page said there was hole in the area of the Dome. Hope it sinks like a lead balloon and if Olmert allows them to rebuild I will personally tread on water to correct his understanding of what he is doing. I will get to the seat of the problem. Today would be a good day to do it IMHO.
Your link about the damage on the Temple Mount pointed to your personal AOL email account. I've found an article from Haaretz.com that covers the earthquake and mentions the damage on the Temple Mount:
The damage that they're talking about is a hole "a meter deep, two meters long and meter and a half wide." From the photo, it looks like it caused some of the stones in the plaza to sink. In other words, it was just some dirt settling. What bugs me is that the mosque officials are blaming the damage on Israeli work repairing/rebuilding the ramp to the Mugrabi Gate, but don't say anything about their own excavation work under the Dome being a contributing factor.
(BTW, one of the people commenting on the story complained how the Waqf have been playing mole in the Temple Mount for years, with all their digging. I wrote back asking if that meant that G_D was playing Waqf-a-mole with the Temple Mount...)
I feel so out of the loop - I've been having intermittent (more down than up)problems with my modem & wireless router for days now, argh! The good thing is, my house is sparkling clean!
Hi Guys, Could not down load this site on my portable modem yesterday, so I went to Joel's site. It was shorter! Have to share how The Lord looks after His own. We drove over 300 miles on highways at speed and on very rough gravel and dirt roads over the weekend and on our return only 2 miles from home, the bolt for the stablising arm broke. We could limp home safely. I praised The Lord because if it had gone at any other time either at speed or in the out lying areas where there is no cell phone reception and no people for many miles, we would have been in serious trouble!! Donna - thanks, I am doing well. Would have battled if I had to walk though. Granny - had a go at 'annoying mouse' too. Sorry about the loss of your good friend, how is her family doing? Are they saved as well? Maybe the quake will enable 'The Ark' to be found, G_d willing?
it was on my mind to ask last night how it was but forgot.
as an update-my parents are still sick and my dad was far more significantly ill than he realized having both pneumonia and the flu and on medication that makes his ability to fight off infections somewhat marginal. my mom has a significant respiratory infection as well. both are slowly mending. it is very frustrating to say the least to live 1200 miles away. my son is better as well but still sounds terrible at times despite medication. we had to keep him home from church yesterday to avoid infecting others.
Good God's day everyone! The Son and the sun are shining brightly here in Okieland and it is beginning to look like Spring is getting ready to put on her new clothes and come out shining and clean.
JERI, Tommie Sue's sons are both doctors (Osteopaths) without salvation. They are good as far as the world goes but without Christ and that isn't good. As little boys and teenagers they were raised by Christian parents and grandparents but that is as far as it goes. Now the process of their rebirth begins and so I ask you all to pray for Bob and Joe Baker. Both are married and have families of their own. Tommie's funeral is tomorrow (Tuesday) in Kansas and please keep them in your prayers that their need of salvation will be paramount.
I am so happy you were being protected by God's angels on your trip. My goodness, that is a hair raiser in my opinion. I think we all need to sing some powerful praise to the Lord for your safe return home Jeri. I know I will!
JIB, I am praying for your momma and daddy and for our little prince charming. There isn't any distance in the prayer realm you know!
I so truly cherish all of you and I am so thankful for everyone's faith and love. I am having trouble with my Email right now. I can read them but I can't send out anything. My daughter was the one who alerted me to it because she hadn't received my response to her message. I just hit the send button and thought it had been done but now I can't even get that function to work. Something to do with my security. I feeling mighty insecure right now!
So, if you haven't received a reply from your message, please know this is the reason for it. I checked back on some of the earlier ones and it was a hit and miss thing last week.
Time to get lunch started and I haven't finished my coffee from breakfast. I am slow today.
nope Grany I hadn't sent an email recently. I realize there is no difference in the prayer realm but I'd still like to be there.
will be praying for your friends sons. claim the promise-raise up a child in the way he should go and he will return and that the word of God does not go out void
I found this on World Net Daily but I don't know how old it is. I do think you should read the article and draw your own conclusions. I copied the headlines of the topic to post here but you see, accusing any one of this sort of thing is not uncommon but I don't want to see a man with this sort of background occupying the oval office again.
"Sleaze charge: 'I took drugs, had homo sex with Obama' Minnesota man takes his case to court, YouTube, $100,000 polygraph challenge".
This just adds more reason for such a strong distrust of this man. I hope the charges are without truth but nothing surprises me anymore.
The remark that Hillary made about marching in the Gay-Pride parade was just as bad. What a wicked mess this world has become.
I finally found the article we were asking you about. Economist: Expect Fed to lower Dow to 8,000 from the article: "Fed wants the Dow Jones Industrial Average and other financial indicators to descend in a managed way," Bolser said. "The Fed wants to drive the DJIA toward the 8,000 level, or below, in order to help create a deep recession which will have the effect of slowing consumption across the board, and dampening the otherwise harmful effects of inflation."

Good morning all! Need to catch up on my comment reading. Glad you are o.k., Granny!
Did you see that Joel's next fiction book is coming out soon - March, I think?
Looking forward to it.
Hi Jim- thanks for the blood moon info!! you are the resident researcher, and are MUCH appreciated.Lets see... what else can I ask........
Jamie
JIB, sorry about that. I meant "Esther". Just goes to prove I should never try writing on an empty head.
<><
good one Jim - funny.
Hi Guys,
Here is a long post of confirmations written by a prophectic revivalist. I posted it on Joel's site but some would not be able to read it because of Joel's long blog.
Here goes:-
DISASTERS WHERE??
-by Andrew Strom.
I write this out of genuine concern for the remnant of God in the
USA. It is something brief that I have been wanting to put together
for awhile. It is simply about the many similar prophecies of
calamity and physical judgment coming upon this nation. There
seems to be a pattern, and I don't want to cause undue alarm,
but simply to discuss these things so we are not unaware of them.
God will tell you if you need to act on any of this.
Since I have been in the United States (and even before, to some
degree) it has come to my attention that there have been
prophetic and praying people from all different places who have
had visions, dreams, or strong revelations - that often seem to
line up with others totally separate from themselves. This has
happened too often to dismiss it as mere "coincidence". I truly
believe God has been speaking to a lot of these people.
What I want to do in this email is simply talk about a number of
over-riding themes that seem to have come out again and again
in these warnings.
For myself, I am convinced that America is entering into some
very dark days ahead - not just economically, but in all kinds of
ways. She is literally sleep-walking her way towards a precipice
and she is about to go over. We have discussed many of the
reasons for this in past articles. But suffice it to say, it seems
that serious judgments are now at the door.
DANGER in THE WEST
The most unanimous warnings from many quarters concern the
West Coast. Certainly, California seems to have painted a larger
and larger target on herself in recent years - almost crying out
for judgment. Virtually every prophecy or vision that I have heard
regarding California involves not just earthquakes but also
massive walls of WATER literally inundating entire regions. It is
so common for people to have had vivid technicolor dreams and
visions of these earthquakes or tsunamis, that personally I
have to believe there is something in it. But it is not just
California. In many visions, the wall of water that is seen causes
massive devastation right up and down the entire West Coast -
and even a long way inland. We may say that such a thing seems
unlikely, but I for one would not be so quick to ignore such
unanimous warnings. If you live on the West Coast, and you
strongly sense God telling you to move - then MOVE! I guess it
is as simple as that.
OTHER STATES
By no means is the West Coast the only part of America being
singled out in a lot of these prophecies. If you know where the
Madrid fault-line is (on the Missouri-Illinois border) then perhaps
you know too that the strongest-recorded earthquake in US history
occurred there. There are prophecies of another massive
earthquake that will follow the Mississippi right up through this
corridor. So the midwest is not necessarily that safe. We need
to know exactly where God would have us - and be listening to
Him. That is the only safe place to be. -In the center of His will.
As far as weather and super-storms go, the Gulf Coast and the
East Coast are also prophesied to get hit again. (-Including New Orleans).
WHERE THEN ARE the SAFE ZONES?
You need to be totally led by the Spirit, but generally if these
things begin to occur, some of the northern central states are
often spoken of as "safety zones" - ie. From Eastern Washington
(Spokane area) and Eastern Oregon over to Western Wisconsin -
taking in most of the states in between - ie. Most of Montana,
Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa. -There
are other spots around the country that are spoken of as "Places
of Refuge" also, but as I said before, it is utterly crucial to be
led by the Spirit in all of this. When and if these things begin to
happen, I truly believe God will speak to you if you are listening.
Nothing that I am saying here is a cause for alarm or panic. It
is simply a call to start listening very closely to the voice of God -
which I'm sure many of you are doing already.
The WORST CASE SCENARIO
The latter part of a lot of these prophecies and dreams show
America being invaded by foreign armies while she is down. There
are so many accounts of people seeing Chinese or UN troops on
American soil in these visions - it is amazing. This is one of the
most consistent features. Heavy Government crackdowns, bombs
and explosions (-even Nukes) in various places - people have
seen many of these things. But the "invading armies" one is
definitely among the most common. Does it make sense? Yes,
absolutely - if America is down and vulnerable. The U.S has many
enemies in the world - sadly even some in her own Government.
I am writing these things for no other reason than to bring
"confirmation" to God's Remnant - if they have already been
hearing them from God Himself.
By no means am I asking people to act on what I am writing
here. You need to hear from the Lord directly - and act only
on what He tells you. But hopefully this email may act as a
confirmation, to help you make your decision when and if the
time comes. We all know that even in the very midst of danger,
being in the center of God's will is literally the only place worth
being - crisis or no crisis.
But I just wanted to put this out so that people will know what
God has been speaking in many parts of this nation for a
number of years. The safety of the Remnant is certainly of great
concern to me. If you yourself have seen dreams or visions
of these things, I would certainly be interested to hear them.
You can email me at- prophetic@revivalschool.com
Yours for the love of God's true Remnant in this land,
Andrew Strom.
since some can't read over at Joel's-this is my initial reaction to Jeri's post
Jeri,
does Strom believe in replacement theology?
Jim
you are funny.
Goodmorning y'all! I'm not quite home yet. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do.... so many posts, so little time....
lori
The cake came out wonderful, after several tries. It took me 7 cakes before I was able to get the recipe right for the altitude.
Lori
I am impressed indeed! Bet it was as good as it looked too. I've always wanted to learn cake decorating but have never had the time to do so.

I left a message on your blog so look for it via your email.
JIB,(and others),
It may interest you that a while back (+10yrs??) there was a prophecy given in the US that there would be a born-again, bible-believing, spirit-filled, tongue-talking, God fearing righteous believer in the White House just before Jesus returned.
Are you ready?
John
Grany,
As regards the 40 days thing, I asked my pastors about this, and they said that, although there is a definite time period between the "dead in Christ" being raised, and we "who are alive" going up in the air to meet them (we are all "changed" at the same time), there is nothing that would indicate a 40 day period.
John
Jeri from SA, Shalom! Thanks for posting the message from Andrew Strom. I would like to ask one favor: when you're copying a post from another source, could you please paste it into Notepad first and remove all the extra "carriage returns" from the end of lines, THEN copy and paste into the blog comments? This would make it MUCH easier for me to read. Thanks!
<><
I'm ready!
Lisa
Jim,
In the last blog entry you said:
John
John,
seems you don't agree much with Dr Frucht either since he also feels that the OT saints are not resurrected until after the Tribulation-I gather he feels that the Rapture is only for the church since we are the Bride of Christ and the OT saints are not part of the Bride of Christ.
Joel's new book is available for pre-order at Amazon at a special price.
Dear good people, I'd like to make a somewhat startling confession. I've struggled with this but I have to finally out myself:
I have not read one single book written by Joel Rosenberg!
Jib, I'm also a conscious dreamer and dream in colour. And, I know this will probably freak some people out, but I get the occasional mundane glimpse into the future. Not sure how it works but I can't deny it sometimes happens. I tend to ignore it though.
JIB,
I can't speak for Andrew Strom's authenticity, but before you totally rule out what he is saying, keep in mind that the U.S. is not mentioned in Bible prophecy.
I guess time will tell.
TexasDave
Jib,
You might want to watch the 6 TV broadcasts by Kenneth Copeland and Governor Huckabee from Sunday, November 25 through Friday November 30, 2007.
Grace
Jib,
Are you of the opinion that anyone in the SBC cannot/does not have the 'gift' of speaking in tongues?
Blessings, (Mary)
Mary & John,
you are right-I did mean that it is not taught and in my experience within the SBC it is frowned upon to say the least.
Alesia
conscious or lucid dreaming is in part the awareness of dreaming while dreaming without waking up but also the ability to consciously affect the outcome of your dream. it was very disconcerting the first time it happened. I now don't fear it and it is rather cool but most people look at me like I have three heads or something when it comes up in conversation.
It is kind of nice to know that I know others however who conscious dream-usually I'm the only one.
Hyde
you are kidding!!!! NONE of them? you best get busy!
Well, I have a lot of catchingup to do, but after having taken a hiatus, I am back to the boards again.
I hope everyone has been doing well
I was going to post this on Joel's...
JIB, Marcie,
I have lived in a number of countries and different cultures.
John
Jib,
Actually, lucid/conscious dreaming is defined as: being conscious while dreaming.

I was so glad they did something original... it was adorable. The top cake had orange/cream cheese filling the center layer was raspberry and the bottom layer was strawberry.

I've been able to manipulate my dreams as well. I dream in living color! I was shocked when I first heard of others dreaming in black and white.

And lastly, I was Baptist when I was filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I didn't know what it was, but it gave me peace. I learned about it after 3 years, when I was 16 and visited an Assembly of God church.
Here's a photo of the location of the wedding. It was near the visitor's center on top of Black Rock Mountain in Mountain City, GA.

Shalom, all!

The original thread has gone WAY off topic now, with a raging debate on the Trinity; still, I thought I'd mention it to people and see if anyone else has had a feeling that something is going to happen real soon?

not really knocking the US per se.

Mac,
I don't recall lucid dreaming until my teens but would suspect that I was likely did it before then I just don't remember since I didn't actually actively seek to learn.
Alesia, I still, regularly thank Him. You know the parable of the Good Shepherd and the lost sheep - I was the lost sheep.
Jen,
I sent a comment to your blog.
Love, love, love those Christmas pictures!!!
Did something change on the "choose an identity" section or am I just now noticing?
They must have made upgrades to Blogger. On Joel's, the comments have a newer, newest button at the bottom. Lori or Marge maybe you should try going there & see if you can get on now.
Great suggestions, once again Mac, with your post at 3:56.
:)
Alesia,
Thanks!
Where's Wilma? Everything okay?
Hi Alesia,
Got your note...thanks!
Have a great night!
Blessings,
Jen
Hi Guys,
I have always dreamt in colour and did not know any different.
Alesia,
Thanks for the tip. I was able to go into Joel's site this morning and do a little reading.
A quick comment on the dreams...
Blessings,
Jen

the lucid dreaming and control of dreams is not something I asked for or particularly wanted truthfully nor do I have any idea how I do it.
Sometimes if work doesn't go well I'll replay the incident in my mind and try to change the outcome and can't.
saw this article and thought it was interesting
Soros Funds McCain
Just an interesting update on my father...
He came home from the hospital then rehab and my (step) mother hired a male, Don, to assist.
I think Don is a Christian. I have not spoken with him directly about it (yet) but his female friends who are in the same line of work are all Christians (I guess even the term "Christians
can mean most anything these days though!).
<><
Hi Jib,
I find this very interesting because it was reported that Soros has funded Obama as well.

This "Dream" chat is interesting.
Eventually it stopped and I woke up.
Never happened again.
Lisa
Donna,
Holding you, your family and all other lost family members up in prayer.
We need to pray for all lost souls!
Good Work everyone
Love you all,
Grany
Mr. Hyde,
Funny confession-not actually reading a Rosenburg book!
Who cares.
We know the only one which really counts anyway.
Lisa
You may have seen this before-hopefully this link will work.Haven't had success lately linking on Joel's Blog.
InterviewwithGod
I have no idea why it's going to my blog page so you'll have to copy and paste:

ah well-until I did it I didn't know that dreams could be controlled either. truly came out of left field. the first time it happened I had had a truly disturbing dream of mass murder by a lone shooter with a machine gun and when I had the dream again I realized in the middle of the dream that I had dreamt this before, knew what was going to happen , how it was going to happen, and took active steps to prevent the bad outcome and the dream then had a happy ending with know one being killed and the shooter being caught.
Does England stand a chance? It gets worse by the second.

Grany,
Good to hear from you. Digging for 40 days? 40 days significance.. interesting
You want dreams? How about dreaming that you've got to go to the bathroom but every time you find one it's either occupied or it has no walls and there are people walking about.
Good to hear from you Grany!
Praying for your father, Donna.
It takes a while to learn to drive but can be very helpful with study:

Alright, I didn't mentioned my dream last night.
Lisa
Lisa,
I'm so, so sorry to hear about your father.
Know, my prayers are with you & your whole family.
Lisa, it sounds as if we are going thru similar things. Please know that you and your husband and kids and parents and everyone else will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
<><
Lisa and Donna
will be praying for each of you and your family.
Alesia
was thinking the same thing
Grany
good to see you back
Lori,
interesting article on the significance of 40 days
John,
left a note at your blog.
Blessings,
Jen
Lisa;
My prayers are with you and your family. I lost my own father a year ago at this time (when his systems shut down), and while it is sad, it is also a blessing.
<><
"My prayers are with you and your family."
Amen to what Jim said, Lisa.
GEOFF UPDATE:
As you can see by Beth's message below, the Dr. believes that he is healing as far as the colon is concerned. He has regained a lot of strength; quite a difference from 2 weeks ago when he was literally on his death bed. His progress truly has been miraculous. His sence of humor is also returning; I could hear him laughing while on the phone with her today. Our prayers are working. She also thanks you for the cards, calls, etc. So keep up the constant barrage on heaven's gate for his complete healing.
I love each of you for your faithfulness; you are all wonderful. (Sharon)

Re: prayer for Geoff
Thank you so much for the prayers for Geoff. Actually, all the staff at the hospital were praying for Geoff and were telling him not to give up and keep looking to Jesus! We had favor and it was such a blessing. We could feel all of the prayers. Now please pray that God performs another miracle and totally removes his cancer as there is no conventional treatment for this kind of cancer.
Love to all,
Beth (Geoff's wife)
Mr. Hyde,
I had been plagued by bathroom dreams. I always had to go and then when I got to the bathrooms the toilet was about 7 feet off the ground!
I learned to wake myself up and relieve myself in a lower model commode... just in time too!
lori
Lisa and Donna praying for your family.
Jim, praying for you too. Sometimes the anniversary date can be quite daunting.
lori
How do you pray for the increase of God's love?
Prayer for today:
O God, help my love to grow and overflow to other believers…
Good God's Morning from Okieland!
I have your prayer requests in hand and I will be joining you all in praying for these needs.
JIM those dates will soften over time but it will always be a reminder of the love factor that was physically present at one time. The love never dies and someday soon we will reunite with them forever.
NOW MAC,
That scripture4all link for the Greek/Hebrew translations is great.
Love you all,

Morning, all!
I'm going to attempt a blue link....if it doesn't work, I'll delete and try again. Here's hoping!
Found this on WND - is it even possible? Islam doesn't go back that far, right?
Joseph’s Tomb
Blessings,
Jen
Missing you all terribly,
JC
Jen
Islam post dates even Christianity BUT they have co-opted many of the Patriarchs of Judaism and claimed they were Muslim. They do this based on Ishmael claiming that he was the promised son whose Descendant would bless the world and that he was the one that Abraham nearly sacrificed. Not true of course but that's what they claim.
JCChick
oh can I relate. I find that fellowshipping and sharing with Christians of like mind helps immensely-it doesn't replace your walk with Christ but greatly enhances it and makes you more aware of your support system.
I will be praying for you.
Hi jcchick,
I will add prayers for a renewed well of strength and fresh waves of peace to wash over you during this stressful time...I can relate and know how the guilt and disappointment can further the problems.
Blessings today!
Jen
Jen
that is fabulous and as the mother of a 5 year old I so totally can relate.
what a great poem for today!
My valentine for all of you (with kudos to the Veggies)-
remember God made you Special and He loves you VERY much!
JIB,
Thanks....I hadn't considered the lineage factor back to Abraham. I was thinking, wait a minute, Joseph didn't even have the option to worship Allah! Kinda like the Mormon post-mortem baptism into the faith I guess. Sad thing is, many will accept it without question.
Blessings,
Jen

Love you greatly and telling you
SHALOM SISTER,

Anyone for Latte at the Cafe Hallelujah?

Happy Valentine's Day to all
JC, there is light...

"Biblical hero Joseph 'was really a Muslim'
Palestinians make astonishing claim, deny they'll help restore burned tomb
Posted: February 14, 2008
1:00 am Eastern
In the wake of an attempt by Palestinians to burn down Joseph's Tomb – Judaism's third holiest site – Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction issued a statement denying it will help restore the shrine, referring to both the shrine and the biblical patriarch as 'Muslim.'"

Amen and second that on motherhood. The two best days of my life (not counting the day I was saved) are my wedding day and the day my son was born. Other great days-the day I found out I was pregnant, the first ultrasound, the day my hubby proposed. Then comes all the schooling, finishing my training etc. Those pale in comparison!
Hi my lovelies!
Back to my closet for now.
Grany,
I agree whole-heartedly that Obama is dangerous. No one seems to know what he really stands for. I have read that the people he surrounds himself with are very anti-semitic or anti Israel. As far as his charisma is concerned, I find that disturbing too. I remember a particular German leader from the 1940's that was known for his charisma and mantra of "Change".
TexasDave
TEXASDAVE,
Howdy partner!
I getting scareder!
Dear Lord, HELPPPPP!
Grany
Texasdave & Grany,
I was listening to an interview with some politician today.
LOL!
Blessings,
Jen
Why, the cave has been beautified!
Nice photo.
Yah, this Obama guy is giving me the heebie geebies.
pray, pray, pray & then pray some more, for sure.
Amen.
Have a great Spirit filled day you all!
Obama
The president of the US.....the leader of the North American Union....the leader of the United Global Government.
That may not be a direct quote....
I am headed down tomorrow.
Let's keep praying for all of God's creation.
Thanks!
Maranatha!
Interesting comments from Jimmy DeYoung
Daveschatology,
I don't know what you do for a living, but I really think you should be a stand-up comedian!
I was trying to read your comment to someone & was laughing so hard they couldn't understand me & had to come read over my shoulder.
That's one of the funniest things I've read in a while - Thanks for the uncontrollable fits of laughter.
gorgeous picture for the cave.
Dave
as always too funny
Donna,
Frucht has an interesting take on the subject of the one world government etc but really too detailed to reproduce here.
Alesia,
Glad to be of service! I'm actually a CPA (aka accounting nerd). I'm sure you would have guessed that on the 247th try.
Listen to Hussein Obama's speeches though.....he doesn't sound much different than that.
Grany
Shalom, all!
<><
JIM, no can do with the Antichrist killing. That is the assignment of the angels, and then only at the command of the King of Kings.
I agree with you about the ID being known but I do think we will have our suspicions before we are raptured out of here. I know you don't believe in the rapture according to RCC doctrine but Jim, I am going to save a place for you at the Cafe Hallelujah because buddy, you is going up right along with the rest of us! Well GLORY!
Grany and Shalom back at ya,
"We need CHANGE! I will change the change that others have changed in the past and change it into..."
Dave, that's the ultimate corporate spiel...if Obama flunks the Presidential race, he can become a "change" consultant!
PS the new mural is a pic of Montana.
Love, Beth
Hi Jeri,
How are you?
God Bless,
Harold
Scott (Boro Eagle)
What a friend!
Love you all,
Grany
Wilma - I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. What a great tribute you wrote of her!
Mac - your Scripture4all link on your blog is not working, you may want to check it out.
Hi campsmore,
It is so hard to know what is going on.
God Bless,
Harold
Wilma, my sincere condolences. The good part is that you know your friend is saved!
Alesia, thanks for letting me know. The link is OK but the account has been disabled. It may only be temporary.
Wilma,
I'm so sorry to hear of your great loss, although Heaven's gain.
May God grant you and Jim special grace to go thru your grieving process.
Much love,
Marge
Harold, while researching various aspects of the book of Revelation, I came across this site:The Ultimate Deception
Have you ever heard of Frank Caw?
I meant to add a cautionary note about Caw; he appears to be biblically grounded but I haven't read all the excerpts.
mac,
No, I haven't heard of Frank Caw before. I just checked out the link you posted to his site. Wow! There is a lot of reading material there! Thanks for the link.
I will have to file that away for later. I just checked out six books on the Ottoman Empire from the library today. That should keep my busy for awhile. :-)
God Bless,
Harold
John
Evening all,
I quickly scanned the info at Caw's site and followed a link to an article by Tim McHyde.
There are no sacrifices even started to be stopped, nor a temple even under construction yet."
Sounds mid-trib to me....not sure if Caw agrees, but those 2 sites are linked in any case.
Blessings,
Jen
well this makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end!
Swooning for Obama
Wilma
sorry to hear about your loss. prayers to go up for you and her family
Morning all,
Clarification on the Caw site...I reread it this AM and found that I had things backward....
Thanks and blessings!
Jen
Ganny-I give you my sympathy and prayers over the loss of your dear friend. I'm thankful you had the joy of her frienship all these years.

The earthquake in Israel yesterday caused a hole at the Temple Mount. Officials are blaming Israel for the damage!

Grany,
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. That is so great that you got to spend such a wonderful time together before she went home to the Lord. It is wonderful to think that you will see her again.
Much love,
Grace
Wow, an earthquake affected the temply mount?
Unbelievable!

Grace
your line didn't work and I can find nothing else on the new about this earthquake? if you got as email can you just copy the email and post?
Jib,
I was reading this article on Haaretz.
Grany
Grace, Shalom!
Your link about the damage on the Temple Mount pointed to your personal AOL email account. I've found an article from Haaretz.com that covers the earthquake and mentions the damage on the Temple Mount:
Recent tremors raise fears of potentially destructive earthquake

Let's try this link. You will have to cut and paste.
Be sure to click the link in the body of the article to see the pictures also.

The news is full of so many things that are being "blamed on Israel" as of late.
Grace
I feel so out of the loop - I've been having intermittent (more down than up)problems with my modem & wireless router for days now, argh! The good thing is, my house is sparkling clean!
Has anyone heard about the Ben Stein movie coming out soon? Looks pretty interesting.
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
Lori - I left you a message on my blog for Geoff.
got it...thanks
WOW...that article is just awesome.
The only damage from the earthquake was to the Temple Mount!
Seems like there's lots going on!
Hi Guys,
Could not down load this site on my portable modem yesterday, so I went to Joel's site.
Maybe the quake will enable 'The Ark' to be found, G_d willing?
wow glad you made it back in one piece.
it was on my mind to ask last night how it was but forgot.
as an update-my parents are still sick and my dad was far more significantly ill than he realized having both pneumonia and the flu and on medication that makes his ability to fight off infections somewhat marginal. my mom has a significant respiratory infection as well. both are slowly mending. it is very frustrating to say the least to live 1200 miles away. my son is better as well but still sounds terrible at times despite medication. we had to keep him home from church yesterday to avoid infecting others.
Loving you all,
Grany
nope Grany
I hadn't sent an email recently.
"Sleaze charge: 'I took drugs, had homo sex with Obama'
Minnesota man takes his case to court, YouTube, $100,000 polygraph challenge".
This just adds more reason for such a strong distrust of this man. I hope the charges are without truth but nothing surprises me anymore.
The remark that Hillary made about marching in the Gay-Pride parade was just as bad. What a wicked mess this world has become.
Grany
Just to be safe, let's keep Obama and Clinton away from the New Madrid fault line and away from Niagra Falls. (snicker)
Jeri,
I assume the bolt thing would've been very bad anywhere but close to home.
Grumpy,
I finally found the article we were asking you about.
Sounds scary..
Mike
