1 Cor 2:9

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1Co 2:9

We're still here, Nate.

Hopefully you got my e-mail from my Gmail account.

Good night and God bless.

Hi! It sure has been a long time since I was here! I remember you Nate. So glad to see your post here. Jesus is so good to us and I am so thankful that He never leaves us. The verse that He has brought to my mind very often lately is this...Philippians 1:6
"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Sorry, Nate, been out and about most of the day. When I get time I'll post some stuff on the "assurance" question etc. It's a biggie question.

Yes, sadly, social media has taken over from blogs and other forums because it is so quick to communicate and share. Even the Omega Letter has suffered because of Facebook.

You haven't lost your ticket to Mr Hyde's Facebook. The setting have been set to maximum privacy which means that you can't see the group at all.

Let me know if you're interested in getting access. Alesia sent you a friend request which means she could invite you if you accept the request.

This is the link but I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it:

Maranatha.

The privacy setting was enabled because most of the members felt more comfortable with that.

We don't get spam or spies. No one sees anything except group members - not even our friends who don't belong to the group.

I'm going to send you a friend request from me - Alf Cengia.

I've also sent an e-mail invitation to the Facebook page. Hope that will work.

Okay, I emailed you from the Facebook page and I sent a friend request.

The security setting on the Facebook page are set at max and that may prevent you from accessing even with an invite.

If that's the case then let me know and I'll temporarily change the privacy settings.

Nate, did you get my request and invite?

Haven't forgotten about your question - I've just been run off my feet. I write a weekly column for the Omega Letter and I'm usually in a lather until I've finished it.

Here's one link you can start with if you haven't seen it yet:

https://bible.org/seriespage/assurance-eternal-security

I realize that there are more questions that come up. Alesia and I have discussed this many times. People often ask, but can't someone just decide to not believe in God and even work against Him? It has happened. It's a fair and deep question. But it should be considered with these verses:

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:37-39

Anyway, this a a good place to start.
